THE AIR BAG LIGHT STARTED BLINKING. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND AFTER CHARGING ME $119.84 I WAS TOLD THAT IT COULD BE REPAIRED FOR A COST OF $1136.00. I WAS TOLD THAT THE AIRBAGS MAY OR MAY NOT GO OFF IF I WERE TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. SOUNDS LIKE A DEFECT TO ME. I'VE OWNED A LOT OF CARS AND I'VE NEVER HAD AN AIRBAG GET WORN OUT AND BREAK. *TR
BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR OCCASIONALLY WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKES TO COME TO A STOP. HAD NISSAN PERFORM A BRAKE SYSTEM FLUSH AND STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM. THEY ASKED ABOUT CHANGING OUT THE MASTER CYLINDER AND THE WAY THAT THEY ASKED MADE ME BELIEVE THAT THEY MIGHT KNOW OF A PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR AND MAKE OF CAR. I CHECKED UP TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL AND NOTICED AN INVESTIGATION IS IN PROGRESS FOR THIS PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS IN STREET TRAFFIC OR HIGHWAY WHEN TRYING TO SLOW OR STOP THE VEHICLE AND IS INTERMITTENT IN NATURE AND STILL OCCURS AFTER THE BRAKE FLUSH TO REMOVE ANY AIR IN THE SYSTEM.
SINCE BUYING THE CAR IN 2016, MY CAR TRANSMISSION HAS RECENTLY FAILED. I HAD NO LIGHT UP THAT INDICATED A WARNING IN MY TRANSMISSION. MY CAR STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AS I WAS TURNING LEFT INTO A 4-WAY INTERSECTION. BEFORE THAT THE FAN WAS ALSO DEFECTED UPON PURCHASING. I OWN THE THE CAR NOW.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (COOK CHEVROLET610 N, TROY RD, ELBA, AL 36323) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS NEEDED. THE CONTACT WAS GIVEN A QUOTE OF $2500-3000 FOR THE COST OF REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.
WHILE DRIVING AND WHEN ACCELERATING THE VEHICLE WAIVES TO THE RIGHT AND SINCE THE STEERING WHEEL IS HELD STRAIGHT THE CAR COMES BACK INTO THE LANE. THIS HAPPENS AT SPEEDS 30+ AND SPECIALLY 60+. I CHANGED 4 MICHELIN NEW TIRES, DID ALIGNMENT AND THE PROBLEM WAS NOT SOLVED. TOOK THE CAR TO A LOCAL MECHANIC AND HE SAID THAT SUSPENSION IS GOOD "TIGHT" AND NO LEAKING IS VISIBLE FROM THE JOINTS. PROBLEMS IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE I AM PLANNING TO GIVE THE CAR TO MY 16 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER.
I WAS ON THE STREET AND THE CAR JUST STOPPED GOING FORWARD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED HOME. NOW THE CAR STARTS, JUGGLE BACK AND FORTH BUT I CAN'T GO OVER 45 MILES PER HOUR. NO ONE AT NISSAN WILL HELP ME. TELLS ME IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. THIS IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. WITH COVID I DON'T MAKE ENOUGH TO BUY ANOTHER CAR AND LIVE A NORMAL LIFE. I AM STILL PAYING FOR A BROKEN CAR.
STARTING AT 50,000 MILES THE CAR STARTED TO MAKE A SQUEAKING NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING. THE CAR WAS MAINTAINED BY A MECHANIC AND ALL BELTS WERE CHECKED. THERE WAS NO CARS FOUND AT THAT TIME. AFTER HITTING APPROXIMATELY 50,000 MILES I STARTED HAVING MORE ISSUES THAT INCLUDED LOUDER NOISES FROM THE ENGINE, UNEXPECTED ACCELERATION, AND AFTER LETTING THE FOOT OFF OF THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR WOULD SLOW DOWN IMMENSELY. RECENTLY THE CAR WAS CHECKED AGAIN BY MY MECHANIC AND IT WAS FOUND IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION THAT WAS AT FAULT. A FEW TIMES WITH THE CAR IN PARK HAD SEVERE TREMORS TOO. NOW WITH 75,000 MILES THE CAR IS HAVING STRONG JERKS WHEN BEING PUT I TO REVERSE. ALSO, WHEN ACCELERATING I NEED TO LET OFF THE GAS AND ALLOW THE TRANSMISSION TIME TO CHANGE GEAR.
EVERY TIME I WANT TO SPEED MY CAR SLOW DOWN, AND HAS A WEIRD SOUNDS IN THE MOTER.
WHEN DRIVING AS I AM PICKING UP SPEED CAR JERKS (PULL) AS IT SWITCHING GEARS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO STALL AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BERMAN NISSAN OF CHICAGO (3456 N KEDZIE AVE, CHICAGO, IL 60618, 773-295-4650) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS NEEDED. THE CONTACT WAS GIVEN A QUOTE OF $4,000 FOR THE COST OF REPAIRS. THE CONTACT INFORMED THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE AND THEY AGREED TO PAY 60% OF THE COST FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,000.
THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT WANTING TO CATCH THE GEARS TO MAKE IT DRIVE.
I WAS ABOUT TO PULL OUT OF A PARKING LOT, I CHANGED MY GEAR FROM PARKED TO DRIVE AND AS I STARTED TO DRIVE OUT, I NOTICED MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON AGAIN AND MY CAR JERKED BACK AND FORTH A COUPLE OF TIMES AS I STARTED TO ACCELERATE. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, BUT USUALLY THE CAR ONLY JERKS FOR A SECOND WHENEVER I CHANGE GEARS.
WHILE DRIVING ONTO THE FREEWAY MY CAR STARTING HESITATING TO CATCH SPEED AND AFTER IT DID WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY IT BEGAN TO SHUDDER AND LOOSE POWER . IT WAS ACCOMPANIED WE WITH WHINING SOUND AND NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT INDICATOR CAME ON . I WENT TO A TRANSMISSION HAD A FLUID EXCHANGE DONE AND THE FLUID TURNED TO A DARK LOOKING OIL ALMOST SIMILAR TO MOTOR OIL . THE TRANSMISSION CONTINUES TO MALFUNCTION ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEED AND ON CITY ROAD AT LOWER SPEEDS. THE QUALITY OF MY DRIVE TRAIN DECLINED TO TO THE POINT OF NO LONGER RUNNING. MY VEHICLE HAS NOW BEEN PARKED FOR ALMOST 2 AND A HALF MONTHS . IT ONLY HAS 114,000 MILES ON IT . I CALLED NISSAN NORTH AMERICA WILL NOT HELP ME FIX IT BECAUSE IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY
I HAVE HAD A JUDDERING AND DELAYED ACCELERATION ISSUE SINCE REACHING 50,000 MILES HAD IT CHECKED BY THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD NO ISSUE COULD BE FOUND. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE TIRES. SINCE THEN THE JUDDERING AND LOW DELAYED ACCELERATION JUST GOT WORSE. WENT TO THE DEALER AGAIN AND THEY REPROGRAMMED THE TCM TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE? SINCE THE TCM WAS REPROGRAMMED I HAVE HAD 2 OCCASIONS WHEN ACCELERATING TO GO ON THE HIGHWAY WHERE THE RPMS JUMPED UP TO 5000 AND OVER WITH NO POWER (HIGH RPMS AND NO POWER). I HAD TO PULL OVER COME TO COMPLETE STOP AND UNTIL THE RPMS WOULD COME DOWN. ALSO EVERY TIME WHEN GOING UP HILLS BIG OR SMALL THE VEHICLE'S RPMS JUMP UP AND BARLEY MAKES IT UP THE HILL. (HIGH RPMS AND NO POWER) THIS VEHICLE IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO KILL ME OR SOMEONE ELSE. THE DEALER INSPECTED IT AGAIN WITH NO INDICATORS TELLS ME ITS THE TRANSMISSION FINALLY. I COULD HAVE TOLD YOU THAT BACK AT 50,0000 MILES.
CVT TRANSMISSION STARTED GOING OUT. SAME EXACT ISSUES AS OTHER NISSIANS WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION IN THEM. I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED VEHICLE FROM CAR LOT HAVEN'T HAD IT FOR MORE THAN A MONTH. ALL SUDDEN I TRIED ACCELERATING FROM DEAD STOP CAR WOULDN'T MOVE TURNED CAR OFF THEN BACK ON IT STARTED WORKING OK, THEN WHILE DRIVING ON BUSY INTERSTATE CAR JUST WOULDN'T GET ANY POWER PRESSED GAS NOTHING CAR STARTED JOLTING AS IF I HAD PUT IT IN A GEAR OTHER THAN DRIVE ALMOST CAUSING ME TO BE RAMMED FROM BEHIND BY 18 WHEELER PLEASE HELP.

ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO DRIVING HOME FROM WORK MY AIRBAG LIGHT STARTED BLINKING IT HAS NOT STOPPED.
I WAS DRIVING AT A NORMAL SPEED ON THE STREET AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR STARTS TO SLOW DOWN AND COMES TO A SUDDEN STOP I TRIED TO PRESS THE GAS AND DOES NOT RUN. I HAVE BEEN STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD NOT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE. I ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED DUE TO THE SUDDEN STOP WITH NO WARNING OR LIGHTS ON.
THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT WHILE GOING UP A BRIDGE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE TO THESE VEHICLES WITH THE TRANSMISSION TYPE. IT IS UNABLE TO BE REPAIRED DUE TO THE HIGH COST OF THIS TRANSMISSION TYPE. SINCE THIS HAS BEEN A KNOWN ISSUE, IT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER RECALLS.
TRANSMISSION WILL NOT ACCELERATE WHICH CAN LEAD TO ACCIDENTS WHEN TRAFFIC IS UNABLE TO SLOW DOWN WHEN NISSAN SLOWS DOWN AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE. APPEARS THAT 2014 HAD A RECALL BUT THAT RECALL IS NOT HONORED FOR 2013 NISSAN VERSA. A 5 YEAR OLD CAR NEEDS A TRANSMISSION BEFORE THE CAR IS EVEN PAID OFF

WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO HAVE THE FUEL TANK REPAIRED, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MOSSY NISSAN CHULA VISTA (1885 AUTO PARK PL, CHULA VISTA, CA 91911, (619) 397-6578) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE SLID ON ICE AND CRASHED INTO A TELEPHONE POLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER RECEIVED A MILD CONCUSSION AFTER HER FACE STRUCK THE STEERING WHEEL. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V449000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
PASSENGER AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT (WARNING THAT THE AIRBAGS ARE OFF) IS CONSTANTLY ON; NO MATTER IF NO ONE, AN ADULT, OR A CHILD IS IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. OCCURS WHEN VEHICLE IS IDLE OR IN MOTION. SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT (WARNING THAT SEAT BELTS ARE NOT BEING USED BY DRIVER OR PASSENGERS) WAS CONSTANTLY ON, EVEN THOUGH DRIVER DID WEAR A SEAT BELT & NO PASSENGERS WERE IN VEHICLE. SPONTANEOUSLY CORRECTED ITSELF; CURRENTLY HAVE NO ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL MADE AN ABNORMAL POPPING SOUND AND THEN THE STEERING SEIZED. THE VEHICLE BECAME INOPERABLE AND WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. A LOCAL MECHANIC CAME TO THE CONTACT'S HOUSE AND REPLACED THE PIN THAT HELD THE STEERING COLUMN TOGETHER. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO LARRY H. MILLER NISSAN SAN BERNARDINO (735 SHOWCASE DR S, SAN BERNARDINO, CA 92408, (909) 347-6785), BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
Currently on 4th transmission cant drive car.
I WAS GOING 35 MPH AND I TRIED TO SLOW DOWN AS I NOTICED THE CARS INFRONT OF ME WERE AT A COMPLETE STOP AT A RED LIGHT, I PRESSED MY BREAKS AND NOTICED I BARELY EVEN SLOWED DOWN AS I GOT CLOSER TO THE CAR AHEAD OF ME I PUT MY EMERGENCY BREAK ON AND IT MADE MY CAR SLIDE FORWARD FORCING MY CAR INTO THE REAR END OF THE CAR AHEAD OF MINE. THE MILEAGE ON THE CAR IS AN ESTIMATE.
CAR WAS PARKED IN A PARKING SPOT. IT WAS ABLE TO MOVE IN REVERSE; HOWEVER, WHEN IN 'DRIVE' NO POWER/GAS WAS GOING TO THE VEHICLE. WE HAD IT TOWED TO A SERVICE CENTER AND WAS TOLD VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION.
WE OWN A 2013 NISSAN VERSA, WITH 52,310 MILES. WE KEEP GREAT CARE OF THE CAR, WITH ROUTINE MAINTANCE CHECKS, OIL CHANGES, TIRE ROTATIONS, ETC. THE CAR IS HOUSED IN THE MIDWEST, THUS DRIVING ON A FAIRLY FLAT SURFACE IT'S WHOLE EXISTENCE. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. WE FOUND OUT WE HAVE TO GET A WHOLE NEW TRANSMISSION PUT IN OUR VEHICLE COSTING $4,050. THIS SEEMS OUTRAGEOUS AS OUR VEHICLE HAS LESS MILES THAN THE AVERAGE VEHICLE PUTS ON EACH YEAR. WE ALSO HAVE TO GET NEW FRONT BRUSHING COSTING $387.53. THIS IS RIDICULOUS FOR A CAR WITH THAT LITTLE OF MILEAGE ON IT. IT HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT OF ANY KIND. OUTRAGEOUS!. THE VEHICLE CLOCKS WHEN BRAKING, GOING OVER THE SMALLEST BUMPS, AND TURNING. THE VAHIE STRUGGLES TO GET UP TO 40 MPH AND HAS A NOTICEABLE KICK TO IT. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE IN AS SOON AS WE NOTICED A PROBLEM.
WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED MY VEHICLE (NEW) IN 2012 FOR THE 2013 NISSAN VERSA, I NOTICED THAT WHEN TAKING OFF AT A RED LIGHT, THE ENGINE/TRANS SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS A HESITATING TO GO. I MENTIONED THIS TO THE SERVICE GUY WHEN I WENT IN FOR MY FIRST OIL CHANGE, HE SAID THAT IT'S BECAUSE IT A CVT TRANSMISSION. ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO OR SO, THE CAR WOULD JERK WHEN TAKING OFF AT 20MPH AND THE RPM NEEDLE WOULD GO UP AND DOWN AS I ACCELERATE TO GO FASTER, I'VE TAKEN THIS CAR FOR OIL CHANGES AND KEPT UP WITH THE RECOMMENDED SERVICES. I'VE HAD THE TRANS OIL CHANGED AND IT STILL DOES THIS ESPECIALLY GOING ON THE EXPRESSWAY. THE CAR HESITATES TO GO, AND NOW I READ THAT THERE ARE MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES JUST LIKE I DO. THIS MORNING WHEN GETTING ON THE EXPRESSWAY TO GO TO WORK, I WAS ACCELERATING AND IT HESITATED (LIKE ALWAYS), THEN AS I GAVE IT GAS, IT JERKED (RMP NEEDLE JUMPED TO 4 THEN BACK DOWN TO 2) AND SPED UP AND I ALMOST HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I'M SO NERVOUS RIGHT NOW. PLEASE HELP. THIS IS DANGEROUS! I'M A SINGLE MOM OF 3 AND VERY PRECIOUS CARGO WITH ME. I DON'T WANT TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS REALLY BAD SYSTEM, AND THEN SOMETHING TO BE DONE ABOUT IT. THERE HAS TO BE SOME KIND OF RECALL ON THESE TRANSMISSIONS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED.
TRANSMISSION SLIPS STALLS SHUDDERS AND WON'T PULL AWAY FROM STOP LIGHT AT TIMES ALSO ON ACCELERATION IT HESITATED BADLY
CURRENTLY HAVE 2013 NISSAN VERSA. STILL PAYING ON IT CANT DRIVE IT. HAD FIRST TRANSMISSION 2018,2019,2020 AND I AN IN NEED TRANSMISSION AGAIN . I WAS TOLD THEY ARE ALL DEFECTIVE !!! MY VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON IT AND AS IT WONT GO PAST 25 MPH. PLEASE HELP ME. GAS PEDAL GOES IN LIMP MODE AND YOU CAN FEEL DIFFERENT SHIFTING IN GAS PEDAL
2013 NISSAN VERSA STRUGGLES TO TURN ON. CAR ALSO IDLES ROUGH AND HAS STALLED AT STOP LIGHTS. TOOK IT TO BUENA PARK NISSAN AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. RECENTLY THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, IT WAS P0705 TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR.
YESTERDAY I HAD DROPPED OFF MY CAR AT UNIVERSAL CITY NISSAN FOR THE CVT RECALL REPAIR. WHEN I LEFT AND PROCEEDED TO GET ON THE 101 FREEWAY MY CAR LOST POWER AND WENT FROM 60 MPH TO ABOUT 10 MPH IN FRONT OF A BIG RIG ON THE FREEWAY. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO GET OFF OF THE FREEWAY AT 5MPH AND WENT BACK TO THE DEALER TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. THEY PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY 4000.00 DOLLARS AS THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AS THEY SAID I COULD DRIVE ANOTHER 50 MILES. I DID NOT HAVE THE MONEY AND WANTED TO DOUBLE CHECK WITH MY MECHANIC. I LEFT AND THE CAR COMPLETELY STOPPED ON A VERY BUSY INTERSECTION ON THE CORNER OF LA BREA AND FOUNTAIN BLVD. I HAD TO KEEP TURNING IT OFF AND RESTARTING IT TO GET IT INTO THE PARKING LOT OF AN URGENT CARE UNTIL I CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO. THE DEALERSHIP IN NO WAY WANTED TO HELP AND SAID MY WARRANTY WAS UP IN FEBRUARY EVEN THOUGH IT ONLY HAS 50,000 MILES ON IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION SUDDENLY FAILED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. MY VEHICLE JERKS WHEN MAKING RIGHT TURNS. I WAS I NEED TO COMPLETELY REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION. AFTER DOING FURTHER RESEARCH, NISSA HAS A RECALL ON ALL THEIR NISSAN VERSA'S TRANSMISSIONS.
TAKATA RECALL: TRANSMISSION BLEW OUT AFTER 2 YEARS OF BUYING OFF THE NISSAN LOT. THIS HAPPENED WHEN IN ROUTE OUT OF TOWN FOR THE DAY, CAR WAS STALLING AND SEEMED TO BE IN NEUTRAL BUT ACTUALLY IN DRIVE. HAD TO TOW HOME AFTER STOPPING AND GOING ON STREETS AND FREEWAYS.
TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AT 129 THOUSAND MILES..CALLED NISSAN AND THEY SAID IT WAS 9 THOUSAND MILES OUT OF WARRANTY..AND THAT IT WAS OUR PROBLEM..ABSOLUTELY RUDE ABOUT IT..WE HAVE 161 THOUSAND ON IT NOW STILL WITH A BAD TRANSMISSION CAUSE IT'S TO EXPENSIVE TO FIX.. PEOPLE HAVE TOLD ME ABOUT RECALLS ON THE CVT TRANSMISSION BUT I CAN'T FIND ANY FOR THIS CAR

I'VE SPOKEN TO NISSAN COMPLAINTS, AND I'VE GOTTEN NOTHING. NISSAN VERSAS INTERMITTENTLY SHUTTER WHEN DRIVING. THIS IS DANGEROUS. NISSAN TOLD ME IT COULD BE THE TRANSMISSION, BUT REFUSE TO DIG INTO IT BECAUSE THEY CLAIM THEY CAN'T FIND THE CODES. THIS IS CRAP. I'M NOT DRIVING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE. THE TRANSMISSION IS A CVT. CAR SHAKES WHEN ACCELERATING ABOVE 40MPH. ENGINE SOUNDS ROUGH. HAS STALLED A COUPLE OF TIMES WHEN PARKING. I BROUGHT THE CAR IN TO HAVE 2 RECALLS FIXED. A CENTER CONSOLE MOULDING TRIM AND A CVT SOFTWARE UPGRADE. I EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD CHECK IT OUT. I WAS TOLD BY THE 1ST DEALERSHIP THAT THERE WERE NO APPARENT PROBLEMS WHILE DRIVING THE CAR. THE PROBLEM GOT WORSE IMMEDIATELY. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP BACK AND WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR WAS NOT INSPECTED AND THAT THERE WOULD BE A $200 INSPECTION FEE. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS. THE CAR IS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD AND OF COURSE THE WARRANTY JUST ENDED IN FEBRUARY 2018. I TOOK THE CAR TO A 2ND DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAILING AND GIVEN AN ESTIMATED PRICE OF A REBUILD AND A NEW TRANSMISSION. CONSUMER AFFAIRS TOLD ME THAT THE CAR NEEDS FURTHER INSPECTION TO DETERMINE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THEY WILL NOT TELL ME IF THEY PLAN ON COVERING THE COST OF THIS INSPECTION. I THOUGH THE CAR WAS ALREADY INSPECTED A COUPLE OF TIMES. I'M GETTING INCONSISTENT CONFLICTING INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT I'M TOLD WAS DONE TO THE CAR AND WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. MEANWHILE THE CAR IS GETTING WORSE AND I STILL HAVE 3 YEARS LEFT ON THE AUTO LOAN. I'VE READ ON SEVERAL WEBSITES THAT OTHER NISSAN VERSA OWNERS ARE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS. I WAS TOLD BY MY CAR FRIEND THAT THEY ARE NOTORIOUS FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AT AN EARLY AGE AND BY THE 2ND NISSAN DEALERSHIP THAT THE TRANSMISSION SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE OUT SO SOON.TO SAY I'M BEYOND FRUSTRATED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.
THIS NISSAN VERSA 4 DOOR FAMILY VEHICLE WAS MADE WITH A FAULTY CVT BY NISSAN WHICH IS SLIPPING AND PREVENTS THE VEHICLE FROM ACCELERATING PROPERLY CAUSING A VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING HAZARD WHILE ON THE ROAD. A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST INFORMED US THAT NISSAN'S ARE NOTORIOUS FOR PRODUCING VEHICLES WITH FAULTY CVTS AND THEY DO NOT PROVIDE PARTS SO THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION MUST BE REPLACED COSTING OVER 4,000 DOLLARS. WE CONTACTED THE NISSAN DEALER AND NISSAN U.S.A. AND THEY WERE NOT WILLING TO HELP US WITH THE REPAIR COSTS. THEY DO NOT CARE THAT THEY PRODUCED ANOTHER LEMON! WE ARE FORCED TO MAKE MONTHLY CAR PAYMENTS ON A CAR THAT WE CANNOT DRIVE!

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE LOCAL DEALER, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 29733173 BUT NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.
