Bottom line, Transmission needed. Had shifter put in stuck in park, paid for, right engine mount, paid, G censor said showed up . Trans is shot....this is what a Transmission person said.... couldn't get a person from Hesser Nissan only leave message, a week long nothing.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Versa. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle hesitated before the loss of motive power. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the #3 cylinder misfired. The coils and spark plugs were replaced however, the failure recurred. Additionally, it was determined that the PCM was faulty and needed to be replaced or reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer and the local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 130,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AT THE STOP THE ENGINE TURN OFF WITHOUT ANY ALARM THIS THE SECOND TIME THIS THING HAPPEN TO MY CAR
YESTERDAY I HAD DROPPED OFF MY CAR AT UNIVERSAL CITY NISSAN FOR THE CVT RECALL REPAIR. WHEN I LEFT AND PROCEEDED TO GET ON THE 101 FREEWAY MY CAR LOST POWER AND WENT FROM 60 MPH TO ABOUT 10 MPH IN FRONT OF A BIG RIG ON THE FREEWAY. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO GET OFF OF THE FREEWAY AT 5MPH AND WENT BACK TO THE DEALER TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. THEY PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY 4000.00 DOLLARS AS THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AS THEY SAID I COULD DRIVE ANOTHER 50 MILES. I DID NOT HAVE THE MONEY AND WANTED TO DOUBLE CHECK WITH MY MECHANIC. I LEFT AND THE CAR COMPLETELY STOPPED ON A VERY BUSY INTERSECTION ON THE CORNER OF LA BREA AND FOUNTAIN BLVD. I HAD TO KEEP TURNING IT OFF AND RESTARTING IT TO GET IT INTO THE PARKING LOT OF AN URGENT CARE UNTIL I CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO. THE DEALERSHIP IN NO WAY WANTED TO HELP AND SAID MY WARRANTY WAS UP IN FEBRUARY EVEN THOUGH IT ONLY HAS 50,000 MILES ON IT.
CAR SHAKES WHEN ACCELERATING ABOVE 40MPH. ENGINE SOUNDS ROUGH. HAS STALLED A COUPLE OF TIMES WHEN PARKING. I BROUGHT THE CAR IN TO HAVE 2 RECALLS FIXED. A CENTER CONSOLE MOULDING TRIM AND A CVT SOFTWARE UPGRADE. I EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD CHECK IT OUT. I WAS TOLD BY THE 1ST DEALERSHIP THAT THERE WERE NO APPARENT PROBLEMS WHILE DRIVING THE CAR. THE PROBLEM GOT WORSE IMMEDIATELY. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP BACK AND WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR WAS NOT INSPECTED AND THAT THERE WOULD BE A $200 INSPECTION FEE. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS. THE CAR IS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD AND OF COURSE THE WARRANTY JUST ENDED IN FEBRUARY 2018. I TOOK THE CAR TO A 2ND DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAILING AND GIVEN AN ESTIMATED PRICE OF A REBUILD AND A NEW TRANSMISSION. CONSUMER AFFAIRS TOLD ME THAT THE CAR NEEDS FURTHER INSPECTION TO DETERMINE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THEY WILL NOT TELL ME IF THEY PLAN ON COVERING THE COST OF THIS INSPECTION. I THOUGH THE CAR WAS ALREADY INSPECTED A COUPLE OF TIMES. I'M GETTING INCONSISTENT CONFLICTING INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT I'M TOLD WAS DONE TO THE CAR AND WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. MEANWHILE THE CAR IS GETTING WORSE AND I STILL HAVE 3 YEARS LEFT ON THE AUTO LOAN. I'VE READ ON SEVERAL WEBSITES THAT OTHER NISSAN VERSA OWNERS ARE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS. I WAS TOLD BY MY CAR FRIEND THAT THEY ARE NOTORIOUS FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AT AN EARLY AGE AND BY THE 2ND NISSAN DEALERSHIP THAT THE TRANSMISSION SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE OUT SO SOON.TO SAY I'M BEYOND FRUSTRATED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND PARKED OVERNIGHT. UPON ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, IT FAILED TO START. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND DEALER DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO SMELL OF GAS, AFTER THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED. ALSO, THE RPM FLUCTUATED BETWEEN 1500 TO 3500 AND THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. UPDATED 10/13/16.*JB

I EXPERIENCED MY CAR SHAKING, REVVING UP AND THEN STALLING AT A PARKING LOT. UPON TRYING TO GET ON THE FREEWAY THE CAR STALLED ON THE FREEWAY ON RAMP. ONCE STARTING THE CAR, I HAD TO DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR ALL THE WAY DOWN FOR THE CAR TO GET UP TO 20 MI/HR. THE CAR MAINTAINED THIS SPEED FOR 4-5 MI, SUDDENLY THE CAR WOULD ACCELERATE TO 60MI/HR AT WHICH POINT I NEARLY COLLIDED INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THEN THE CAR PROCEEDED TO SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY. I ARRIVED AT THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED THERE'S A POSSIBLE ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION. I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW IN 2013, HAVE HAD ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, USED TOP TIER FUEL, AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY MAJOR ACCIDENTS, THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 30K MI. *TR
AT ABOUT 7:10AM ON JULY 18, 2013, I STARTED THE CAR AND A BAD NOISE CAME FROM ENGINE. I POOPED THE HOOD AND LOOKED BUT FOUND NOTHING VISUALLY. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER THE NEXT MORNING AND THEY HAD TO KEEP IT OVERNIGHT. THREE MASTER MECHANIC'S VERIFIED THE NOISE AND STATED THEY HAVE NEVER HERD THIS BEFORE AND HAD NO CLUE WHAT WAS WRONG. IT SOUNDS AS IF A BALL BEARING IS LOOSE IN THE TOP PART OF THE MOTOR AND BOUNCING AROUND. WHAT IS ODD, IS THAT THE NOISE WILL GO AWAY ONCE THE MOTOR IS WARMED UP. NOW THE DEALER IS SAYING NOTHING IS WRONG!!!!! *TR
1. FROM THE BEGINNING, WIND NOISE WAS NOTICEABLE. MANAGEMENT FROM DEALERSHIP CHECKED VEHICLE AND SAID NOISE WAS FROM DESIGN OF SIDE MIRRORS. I CALLED NISSAN AND THEY SAID THERE WERE NO BULLETINS AT TIME AND UNTIL THERE WERE THEY COULD DO NOTHING. 2. WINDSHIELD HAS WAVINESS ACROSS ENTIRE LOWER SECTION OF GLASS. THIS IS NOTICEABLE WHERE GLASS AND COWLING ADJOIN. NEW WINDSHIELD WAS ORDER FROM NISSAN AND INSTALLED. SAME ISSUE WITH REPLACEMENT GLASS. MY WIFE IS 4'9" AND FINDS THIS TO BE DISTRACTING. 3. HEAT SHIELD OVER MUFFLER CAME LOOSE AND VIBRATING. POOR QUALITY. I UNDERSTAND FROM ONLINE BLOGS THAT THIS INDEED HAS BEEN AN ISSUE. *TR
