the tail lights get moisture in them and then do not work properly. there is a service recall on them from the nissan versa manufacturere. since there is a service recall ont his issue, why is this agency not requiring a recall. obviously there is a manufacturing safety defect present here. There is a service bulletin that explains it. Look at your tail lights and see if there is moisture in them. Of course it may not be the solution to your problem, but it is a known issue.
