WHILE DRIVING WE WENT OVER A SMALL LITTLE DIP AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN I COULDNT TURN MY STEERING WHEEL BUT ABOUT 1/4 OF A TURN. LATER THAT DAY IT WAS FINE BUT IT DID THAT THE WHOLE DRIVE
THERE IS DRAIN TUBING CONNECTED TO THE SUNROOF THAT COMES UNCONNECTED BECAUSE ITS TOO SHORT AND LEAKS/POURS WATER ALL OVER THE PASSENGER FRONT AND BACK SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. IT HAPPENS WHETHER YOURE DRIVING IT OR ITS SITTING STILL. WATER JUST POURS IN AND SOAKS EVERYTHING ON PASSENGER SIDE.
POWER STEERING HAS FAILED ALMOST CAUSING ME TO CRASH..I WAS TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEED WHE THE STEERING FAILED..IT TOOK ALL MY STRENGTH NOT TO CRASH AND GET OFF THE ROAD..THIS IS A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW IN THIS CAR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,972.
WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY THE POWER STEERING GAVE OUT ON THE CAR. AFTER LETTING THE CAR SIT OVERNIGHT. THE POWER STEERING WAS STILL HARD TO DO. REACHED OUT TO LOCAL CAR DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT CAR WAS NOT COVERED IN MANUFACTURER RECALL. WILL BE CALLING THE MANUFACTURER TO SEE WHAT CAN BE DONE.
OVER A SHORT TIME THE TRANSMISSION KEPT TRYING TO GO IN TO 1ST GEAR BUT WOULD SLIP AND GO INTO 2ND GEAR. IT HAS THE RIGHT TRANSMISSION FLUID. THE SHIFT CABLE WORKS BUT WHEN I CHANGE TO REVERSE OR DRIVE IT WON'T GO INTO GEAR AND BASICALLY SITS THERE IN NO GEAR. IT GOES INTO PARK BUT WHEN I PUT IT TO DRIVE IT DOESNT GO INTO ANY GEAR AND SITS THERE AS IF IT'S IN NEUTRAL
TAKATA RECALL. SOMETHING HAPPENED TO MY STEERING. THE WARNING LIGHT IS ON, IT GETS SO TIGHT YOU CANNOT STEER IT. IT ALSO SAYS TO SERVICE THE AIRBAG. I'M SO SCARED TO TRY TO DRIVE IT. IF YOU SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT THE STEERING WHEEL FEELS LOOSE AGAIN, BUT LIKE YOU DO NOT HAVE COMPLETE CONTROL. THEN IT'S TIGHT ALL OVER AGAIN. THIS WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 175,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,550.

IT HAD NOT BEEN DETERMINED WHETHER THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,632.
TOP OF FUEL PUMPS OUT TAKE GETS A HAIRLINE CRACK ALLOWING FUEL TO LEAK ON TOP OF GAS TANK AND NOT BE VISIBLE. CREATES A STRONG ODOR AND FIRE HAZARD. IF LOOKED UP ONLINE THIS COMPLAINT IS VERY COMMON AND LATER MODELS WARRANTED A RECALL. THE 2005-6 SHOULD ALSO BE INCLUDED BUT HAVEN'T BEEN DUE TO AGE AND LABOR INVOLVED TO DROP THE GAS TANK DUE TO NEWER MODELS HAVING EASIER ACCESS TO THE PUMP WITHOUT DROPPING THE TANK.

AFTER A FEW SECONDS, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AND RESTARTED ON ITS OWN WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 161,000.

I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND THE POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND IT WAS ABLE TO BE RESET. I CALLED THE GM DEALER WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED AND WAS TOLD THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING AS THERE IS NO CURRENT RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS OCCURRED FREQUENTLY SINCE THAT TIME. I HAVE BEEN SITTING AT A STOP SIGN OR A RED LIGHT, DRIVING THROUGH A CITY AND ALSO SITTING STATIONARY WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED. NOW THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES CONSTANTLY AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO TURN. I ASKED MY MECHANIC TO LOOK AT IT AND HE SAID THE COMPUTER SHOWS 2 THINGS; STEERING COLUMN AND CONTROL MODULE. THIS WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING AS I HAD 2 RECALLS COMPLETED IN 2014 FOR RECALLS 14152 AND 14116. THIS CAR IS ALMOST UNDRIVEABLE IN IT'S CURRENT CONDITION AND THERE ARE ONLY JUST OVER 110000 MILES ON IT! HOW CAN I GET THIS ISSUE RESOLVED? I REALLY LIKE MY CAR AND WOULD LIKE TO KEEP IT!

UPON ACCELERATING, THE VEHICLES STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP AND ALL ELECTRICAL BEGINS TO FLICKER AND SHUT OFF. THE STEERING WHEEL WILL JERK FROM DRIVERS HANDS AND SEIZE UP UNLESS ACCELERATION STOPS. INFREQUENT ELECTRICAL BURNING SMELL AND DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHTS NO LONGER WORK EVEN AFTER BULB REPLACEMENT.
THE STEERING WHEEL POPS WHILE TURNING. CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY. TIRE ROF BROKE. SWAY BARS WERE SUPER LOOSE ALL FIXED BUT STEERING COLUMN STILL POPS AND LOCKS UP WHILE TURNING
THE POWER STEERING IS LOCKING UP. I RESEARCHED AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE HOWEVER I'M BEING TOLD THERE IS NO RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE. MY WHEEL PULLS TO THE LEFT AND THEN AFTER A FEW MILES THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT. I HAVE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE ONLY TO HAVE THE SAME THING HAPPEN AGAIN.

ON OUR WAY HOME YESTERDAY THE POWER STEERING LOCKED UP ON ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND ON THE HIGHWAY. HAD I NOT BEEN DRIVING AND ABLE TO MANUALLY TURN THE STEERING WHEEL WE WOULD HAVE CRASHED. THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE FOR MY 100LB GIRLFRIEND TO BE DRIVING.

CAR IN TO GM DEALER UNLESS YOU BELIEVE THAT YOUR VEHICLE HAS THE CONDITION (GM EXTENDING THE WARRANTY COVERAGE ON MY VEHICLE FOR THE LOSS OF POWER STEERING CAUSED BY ELECTRICAL INPUT SIGNALS WITHIN THE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY. IF THIS CONDITION OCCURS ON YOUR 2005 PONTIAC G6 WITHIN 150,000 MILES THE CONDITION WILL BE REPAIRED FOR YOU AT NO CHARGE. I CONTACTED MARTY MALONE & MIKE SUTTON @COLUMBIANA BUICK,CADILLAC,CHEVROLET ON 7-20-17 @ AROUND 3:00 PM .SHOWED THEM THE LETTER WITH THE RECALL #10183 AND TOLD THEM THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS JUST OCCURRED THIS YEAR 2017 AND MY MILEAGE IS 141,000 NOW. WANT TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR THIS IS UNSATISFACTORY AND DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. DON'T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN AGAIN & TO CORRECT POWER STEERING MOTOR CONTROLLER UNIT WITH NO CHARGE. ALREADY HAD TORQUE SENSOR ASSEMBLY ACTION RECALLED AND FIXED ON 12-16-2014 80,987MILES WHICH DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. DEALER HAD SAID CASE WAS CLOSED BUT I 'M STILL UNDER RECALL REPAIRS WITH LESS THEN 150,0000 MILES. HOW COULD THIS BE A CLOSED MATTER WHEN IT IS POWERED BY NHTSA RECALL ENVELOPE WITH SPECIAL COVERAGE #10183 IN IT. THEY SAID FOR ME TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. SO I DID WITH CASE SERVICE REQUEST# 8-3102459106 . SPOOKED TO RAEOLE @ 4:45PM. HE SAID THAT YOU CAN NOT OPEN IT AGAIN IF ALREADY CLOSED. THIS WHY I AM COMING TO YOU IN REGARDS TO THIS MATTER AND TO PLEASE GET IT FIXED WITH NO CHARGE.CAR WAS IN MOTION ON STREET. HARD TO TURN. HAD TO TURN CAR OFF TO REGAIN POWER.WHEEL SHAKING & POWER STEERING LIGHT ON.

THE EVENING OF JANUARY.24TH,2017 I WAS TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY HEADING HOME AND WHEN I WENT TO SLOW DOWN BECAUSE A SEMI PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME I NOTICED THE CARS BEHIND ME WERE NOT REDUCING THEIR SPEED & THE CAR BEHIND ME ALMOST HIT ME BUT SWERVED TO AVOID IT THEN LAID ON THEIR HORN CUSSING ME BECAUSE MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING UNTIL I LET OFF THE BRAKES THEY CAME ON AND STAYED ON, SO I PULLED OVER PUT CAR IN PARK MY HUSBAND GOT OUT AND WAS CHECKING THINGS OUT AND SURE ENOUGH IT WAS LIKE THEY HAD A MIND OF THEIR OWN. SO I CALLED FOR MY FATHER IN LAW TO COME FOLLOW ME HOME SO THAT I WOULD NOT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND WHEN I WENT TO PUT THE CAR INTO GEAR MY GEAR SHIFT WOULD NOT COME OUT OF PARK! SO I SHUT CAR OFF LET IT SET FOR 30 MINUTES STARTED BACK UP AND MY IGNITION GOT STUCK AND CONTINUED CRANKING OVER EVEN AFTER STARTED, AND NOW IT SEEMS TO BE A CONTINUOUS THING WITH MY CAR, MY STEERING IS MAKING A NOISE ALMOST LIKE MY WHEELS ARE GOING TO FALL OFF. I AM SCARED THIS IS A DEATH TRAP
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLES ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING FAILED RESULTING IN A NEARLY EMINENT COLLISION WITH ADJACENT TRAFFIC. MY FAMILY WAS WITHIN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME AND I FELT GENUINE TERROR IN REGARD TO THEIR SAFETY. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO AVOID THE COLLISION AS THE STEERING BEGAN TO LOCK AND TIGHTEN UP, HOWEVER THROUGH SHEER POWER AND LUCK I MANAGE TO AVOID THE VEHICLES IN THE LANES ADJACENT TO ME. GM HAS HAD SPECIFIC NOTIFICATION OF THIS ISSUE THROUGH NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS BY CUSTOMERS AND HAS APPARENTLY TAKEN THE APPROACH THAT THEY WOULD RATHER RISK THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS THAN DO THE RIGHT THING AND CREATE A RECALL IN REGARD TO POWER STEERING TO MAKE THEIR VEHICLES SAFE FOR CONSUMERS. I HAVE CONTACTED GM TO NO AVAIL AS THEY TREAT RECALLS ON A VIN SPECIFIC BASIS TO AVOID PUBLIC LIABILITY AND HAVE CHOSEN TO ATTEMPT TO MAKE ME PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THEIR NEGLIGENCE AND WONTON DISREGARD FOR THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.

POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING PERIODICALLY WHILE DRIVING, ON HIGHWAY AND UPON STARTING. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE RECALL NOTED UNDER RECALL 140116 FOR THE TORQUE SENSOR TO BE REPAIRED. THIS DID NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE OF THE POWER STEERING. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE POWER STEERING MOTOR AND MODULE. IT WAS REPORTED IN 2014 THAT ALL 2005 PONTIAC G6'S COULD EXPERIENCE LOSS OF POWER STEERING, BUT IT THIS INSTANCE IT WASN'T DUE TO THE SENSOR. *TR

AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE, IT FAILED TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. POWER STEERING MOTOR AND THE ELECTRONICAL CONTROL STABILIZER THE STEERING WHEEL IS HARD TO TURN BECAUSE IT MALFUNCTION AND I KNOW YOU'LL HAVE A RECALL FOR THAT I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND HE SAID THAT'S WHAT IT IS HE HOOKED THE COMPUTER UP TO IT HE EVEN TOLD ME THAT THERE IS A RECALL I SHOULD CONTACT GMC.
WHEN DRIVING ON CITY STREETS, HIGHWAYS AND THE INTERSTATE, MY POWER STEERING JUST GOES OUT. COMPLETELY STOPS WORKING. ALSO, SOMETIMES MY CRUISE CONTROL WON'T WORK BECAUSE MY BRAKE LIGHTS GO ON WITHOUT MY PRESSING THE BRAKE. WHEN I DO PRESS THE BRAKE THE LIGHTS GO OFF. (ALSO ON CITY STREETS, HIGHWAYS AND INTERSTATE). AND SOMETIMES I CANNOT MOVE THE SHIFTER FROM PARK WITHOUT A LOT OF WORK. LIKE PRESSING AND RELEASING THE BRAKE, WIGGLING OR TAPPING OF THE FUSES INSIDE THE VEHICLE AND IN THE TRUNK OR UNDER THE HOOD. CURRENTLY THEY SAY NO OPEN RECALLS ON THIS CAR, BUT SERVICE PROVIDERS SAY TO CHECK FURTHER. FOUND GM REBATE # N140115 FOR THE POWER STEERING ISSUE. THESE ARE SAFETY ISSUES THAT I FEEL THEY SHOULD COVER. OBVIOUSLY THERE HAS BEEN THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES ALREADY AFFECTED. HOW CAN THEY SAY MINE DOESN'T PERTAIN? AT BEST THEY SAY TAKE IT IN AND IF SERVICE SAYS IT A MANUFACTURE DEFECT, THEY MAY HELP SOMEWHAT. BUT THE CAR IS NO LONGER COVERED BY THE WARRANTY SO THERE IS NOT MUCH THEY CAN DO. REALLY??
