SERVICE AIR BAG ERROR LIGHT CAME ON. AFTER READING SOME THREADS IN FORUMS, I SAW THAT A LOT OF OWNERS OF THIS MODEL WERE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. TO REPLACE THE "SDM MODULE" WILL COST OVER $500, SO MY CAR WILL BE WITHOUT AND AIR BAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING IN WEATHER OVER 90 DEGREES FOR MORE 30 MINUTES, AN OVERPOWERING GASOLINE ODOR WAS PRESENT INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SUFFERED DIZZINESS AND NAUSEA BECAUSE OF THE ODOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CARBON FILTER WAS REPLACED BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT REMEDIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES TO REPAIR THE DEFECT BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE MANUFACTURER REQUESTED TO PURCHASE THE VEHICLE FROM THE CONTACT BECAUSE THE DEFECT WAS NOT REPAIRABLE. THE CONTACT REFUSED THE OFFER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3000.
TAKATA RECALL: AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND THE DEALER PUT IN A TEMP FIX AND THE LIGHT IS OFF, BUT THEY TOLD ME A NEW FIX IS COMING FROM GM. I DRIVE BY MYSELF 90% OF THE TIME BECAUSE I AM AFRAID TO LET ANYONE RIDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT BECAUSE THEY COULD BE INJURED.
THE LIGHT IS ON ABOUT MY SAFETY AIR BAG NOT WORKING AT ALL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE MODULE FOR THE AIR BAG TO THE PASSENGER SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,700 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,300.
PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR STOPPED WORKING. I HAD NOTICED THE LIGHT/SENSOR NOT COMING ON TWICE BEFORE WHEN I HAD A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT AND IT SHOULD HAVE ENGAGED THE AIRBAG SENSORS. NO INCIDENTS, NO TRAUMA TO THE CAR NOTHING. IT JUST STOPPED. NOW IT NEVER COMES ON AND THERE IS A WARNING MESSAGE ON THE DASH HUD. I'VE READ A LOT OF SIMILAR PROBLEMS AND MALFUNCTIONS WITH PASSENGER AIRBAGS ON OTHER SOLSTICES AND SATURN SKY CARS SO I KNOW THIS ISN'T AN ISOLATED EVENT. CURRENTLY AT 65K MILES AND A MECHANIC MENTIONED TO ME THAT THIS PROBLEM MIGHT ALSO CAUSE MY DRIVER AIRBAG NOT TO DEPLOY. I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO RIDES IN MY CAR SO THIS DIDN'T AFFECT ME UNTIL I HEARD THIS. *TR
PASSENGER ACTIVATED INSTRUMENT PANEL ICON "SERVICE PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG." TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE PASSENGER SEAT MODULE #1924219 FOR $362.47 (OUR HALF) GM PICKED UP THE OTHER HALF. AGAIN ON 5/27/2015, 33,612 MILES SAME CONDITION OCCURRED. TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND THIS TIME THE SAME MODULE COSTS US $1,02 9.21. GM FEELS NOT THEIR PROBLEM? THIS IS MY WIFE'S VEHICLE AND RARELY IS A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT! THE DEALER CANNOT TELL US IF THE AIRBAG WILL DEPLOY WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON? CAN YOU TELL US IF GM HAS A DEFECTIVE MODULE PROBLEM?

OWN A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE GXP. FOR SOME TIME THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT HAS FAILED TO CHANGE WHEN AN ADULT SITS IN PASSENGER SEAT, SINCE APPROX 15,000 KMS. NOW THE DISPLAY PANEL READS "SERVICE AIRBAGS", SINCE APPROX 55,000 KMS. I TOOK IT INTO GM, WHO ADVISED THAT I NEED A SDM MODULE. I AM EXTREMELY SURPRISED. THIS IS AN ABNORMAL SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE, THROUGH RESEARCH, APPEARS TO BE A COMMON CLASS ISSUE WITH THE SOLSTICE, THIS BEGS FOR GM TO LEAN FWD WITH VOLUNTARY RECALL BEFORE LIVES ARE LOST AS A RESULT, OR BEFORE IT GROWS TO AN EXTENT AKIN TO WHAT TOYOTA RECENTLY EXPERIENCED WITH LACK OF FWD THINKING & PROACTIVE DUE DILIGENCE. *TR
AIR BAG LIGHT COME ON WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD A FEW YEARS AGO. IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE PASSENGER PRESENCE DETECTION SENSOR BAD. I DECIDED NOT TO DO THE REPAIR BECAUSE IT WAS GOING TO BE OVER $800. TODAY, I STUMBLED ACROSS QUITE A FEW FORUM POSTS WITH OTHER PEOPLE HAVING SAME PROBLEM IN THEIR PONTIAC SOLSTICE AND SATURN SKYS. THERE WAS EVEN A MEDIA COVERAGE ABOUT IT IN TN. GM HAS RECALLED OTHER MAKES AND MODELS FOR THE SAME ISSUE, BUT BECAUSE THE SOLSTICE AND SKY ARE LOW PRODUCTION THEY DO NOT MAKE IT ON THEIR RADAR FOR RESEARCHING IF THE RECALL SHOULD BE MADE. I'M SURE THERE ARE MANY OTHERS LIKE ME WHO HAVE BEEN LIVING WITH IT BECAUSE THE COST IS TOO HIGH TO REPAIR. *TR
HANDBRAKE ALWAYS LOOSE AND THEREFORE NOT FUNCTIONING AT ALL. DEALER CAN NOT TIGHTEN IT. *TR
THE PASSENGER PRESENCE MODULE LOCATED IN PASSENGER SEAT FAILED. THIS CAUSES THE PASSENGER AIR BAG TO BE TURNED OFF. FAILURE WAS AT 17000 MILES. GM REPLACED THE MODULE UNDER THE GM GOODWILL PROGRAM. NO COST TO ME. THE REPLACEMENT MODULE HAS FAILED AFTER ONLY 13000 MILES. THIS TIME GM SAYS THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO COVER REPLACEMENT OF THE FAILED PART. REPLACEMENT COST FOR PARTS AND LABOR IS 700.00
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATES WHENEVER THE SEAT IS OCCUPIED. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE, BUT COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,682.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. THE CONTACT STATED THE AIR INTAKE MANIFOLD MALFUNCTIONED CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO OVERHEAT. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO COULD NOT REMEDY THE INTAKE MANIFOLD DUE TO THE LACK OF PARTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO PARTS AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OCS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT MISCLASSIFIED A 125 LBS. ADULT AS A CHILD. AS A RESULT, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG MAY NOT DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE ONLY REMEDY WOULD BE TO INSTALL AN AIR BAG ON AND OFF SWITCH AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN ADEQUATELY REPAIRED. 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. ENGINE LIGHTS COMES ON AFTER MISFIRES, DEALERS REPLACED SPARK PLUGS STATING THEY WERE FAULTY (@APROX 18K MILES), THIS HAPPENS AGAIN 6K MILES LATER. DEALER INSTRUCTING THERE IS NO ISSUE, I SHOULD NOT USE THE SAME GAS STATION EVERY FILL. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE CAR WILL MISFIRE AT A TIME THAT WILL LEAVE ME IN THE PATH OF OTHER CARS, UNABLE TO MOVE QUICK ENOUGH TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. *TR
PURCHASED NEW 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE AND SUDDENLY HAD A FLAT WITHOUT ANY MOVEMENT FOR 6 WEEKS WITH VEHICLE. WHEN HAVING AUTO DEALER INSPECT THE FAULTY TIRE THE DEALER SAW SIDEWALL DAMAGE THAT REFLECTED SERIOUS FLAW/DEFECT ON SEVERAL OF THE GOODYEAR EAGLE P245/R4518 TIRES. WAS TOLD TO TAKE TO A GOODYEAR DEALER AND THE DEALER SAID THAT GOODYEAR AKRON, OHIO REFUSED TO EXCHANGE TIRES. BUT WOULD ACCEPT PRORATION ON TIRES THAT GOODYEAR DEALER CONFORMED TO BE DEFECTED TIRES. GOODYEAR DEALER SAID THAT GOODYEAR HAD SAME SIZE AND MODEL TIRES AS A RECALL ON A DIFFERENT AUTO RECENTLY. *TR
The Alloy wheels are pitted and the metal is peeling off. The hood does not line up with the fenders and the trunk does not line up with the fenders. I contacted GM and they wouldn't honor any warranty after it expired and wouldn't good will any of the issues. It is a 2007 with 8,376 miles. The car is not safe due to the body parts rattling and shaking and the wheels are so pitted that
I WAS DRIVING ON I-10 GOING EAST. I ENTERED THE FREEWAY AT THE 3RD ST RAMP. FROM THE POLICE REPORT, I STEPPED ON MY BRAKES, MY CAR TURNED FACING SIDEWAYS AND WAS HIT BY A SEMI TRUCK ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. WHEN I WAS HIT I WENT UNDER THE SEMI AND SLAMMED THE EMBANKMENT AND MY CAR WENT BACK UNDER THE SEMI AND FACED ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I HAD A COLLAPSED LUNG, BROKEN RIBS, AND WAS UNCONSCIOUS FOR 3 DAYS. I HAVE MEMORY LOSS AND LACK OF SOME EMOTIONAL FEELINGS. I DID MOVE AND DID NOT HAVING FORWARDING ADDRESS AND THUS NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE. I DID HAVE A KEY CHAIN I CARRIED WITH SEVERAL KEYS ON IT. THERE WERE MORE THAN 3 PARTS THAT WERE AFFECTED. THE CAR WAS MARKED AS TOTALED.
EXTREMELY HARD DOWNSHIFTS WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO STOP. SO SEVERE THE TIRES SLID AS YOU COME TO A STOP. THIS IS A 2007, 2.4L 4CYL PONTIAC SOLSTICE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. MIL LAMP IS ON WITH A P2637 CODE SET. THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. ALL DOWNSHIFTS ARE HARSH WHEN COMING TO A STOP. UPSHIFTS ARE QUICK AND HARSH ALSO. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 55 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, HE DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL TO DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL. ONCE THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS DISENGAGED, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN. THE CONTACT WAS FINALLY ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 2,000.
TRANSMISSION LOCKING. SETTING DTC CODES P2637 AND P0700, POTENTIAL FOR REAR END COLLISION DUE TO LOCKUPS ON SLOWING DOWN TO A STOP. FEELS AS IF CAR IS BRAKING HARD WITH NO BRAKE LIGHTS BEING ACTIVATED TO ANNOUNCE THAT DRIVER IS STOPPING. *TR
PEG AND INSERT CONNECTION OF CONVERTIBLE ROOF AND TRUNK ARE RUSTING ON INTERIOR. APPEARS TO BE CAUSED BY ALLOYS IN CONTACT WITHOUT PROVOCATION OF MOISTURE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER (CAR IS 2 MONTHS AND GARAGED) AND REPAIR SERVICE COULD ONLY CLEAN RUST OFF AND LUBE. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE RUST RETURNED. THE SOLUTION WOULD HAVE BEEN TO USE A STAINLESS STEEL SNAPPING PIN IN THE TRUNKS RECEPTACLES WHERE THE PEG COMES DOWN INTO CONTACT. GM CURRENTLY HAS NO RECALL AND THE DEALER IS PUTTING THE RESPONSIBILITY ON GM AND NOR HONORING MY WARRANTY. THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR FOR THIS MODEL SO BUGS ARE TO BE EXPECTED, HOWEVER NO ONE IS TAKING CARE OF MY CAR WHILE THEY SHRUG THEIR SHOULDERS. ULTIMATELY, WHEN THESE PINS WHICH ARE PART OF THE TRUNK RUST THROUGH (THEY ARE NO THICKER THAN A 3 PENNY NAIL) THE ROOK WILL BECOME DETACHED FROM THE TRUNK LEADING TO POSSIBLE INJURY. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN DECEMBER OF 2007 REGARDING THE POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY:AXLE SHAFT:SEAL. IN FEBRUARY OF 2008, SHE WENT TO THE DEALER AND HAD THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. IN MARCH OF 2008, WHILE DRIVING 58 MPH IN WET CONDITIONS, THE WHEELS SUDDENLY LOCKED. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A CONCRETE WALL. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND SHE BELIEVED THAT THE RECALL WAS REPAIRED IMPROPERLY. THE POWERTRAIN AND RECALL NUMBER WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 40,000.
I PURCHASED MY PONTIAC 2007 SOLSTICE THIS PAST SUMMER "NEW" FROM PAUL BENTON PONTIAC IN OAK RIDGE TN. I LOVE MY CAR BUT, EVER SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT HAS HAD VIBRATION PROBLEMS SO BAD THAT I HAVE TAKEN IT BACK NUMEROUS TIMES TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT BECAUSE THE TOP WOULD MAKE A SCRAPPING NOISES WHILE DRIVING. WELL THE NOISE COMES AND GOES, I TOOK MY CAR TODAY AND HAD THE SAFETY RECALL DONE. THEY REPLACED THE REAL PINION SEAL, THEY JUST REPLACED ONE SEAL. IS IT JUST ONE SEAL OR DO THEY NEED TO REPLACE MORE BECAUSE WHEN I WENT TO PICK IT UP THE SERVICE COUNTER INFORMED ME THAT MY BACK R/R AND L/R WHEELS ARE BENT. THEY BALANCED THE TIRES BUT IT NOW THE VIBRATION IS WORSE THAN BEFORE THEY REPLACED THE PART. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT BECAUSE THE STEERING IS LOOSE IN IT, IT WAS TIGHT AND NOW THE WHEEL TURNS BUT THE WHEELS TAKE A WHILE TO CATCH UP. SINCE I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR I HAVE HAD IT IN THE SERVICE DEPT MORE THAN HALF THE TIME. I ASKED THE SERVICE MANGER IF HE COULD FIX IT BUT HE SAID THE ONLY THING COVERED UNDER THE RECALL WAS THE PART AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT WAS WRONG WITH IT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS IS FAR CONSIDERING I PAID ALMOST 30,000 FOR THIS CAR HAVE HAD IT LESS THAN A YEAR AND NO FAULT OF MY OWN IT IS HAVING ALL THESE PROBLEMS. *TR

SHE CALLED THE DEALER AND SHE WAS ADVISED THAT THE SEAT BELT SENSOR WAS WORKING PROPERLY. ON A LATER DATE, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE FAILURE WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED AND THE FAILURE WAS LOCATED AT THE SEAT SENSOR OR THE CONSOLE SENSOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 26,669.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE SUN ROOF OF THE VEHICLE OPENED WITHOUT ANY PRIOR WARNING. THE DEALER INSISTED THAT THE CONTACT ACCIDENTALLY OPENED THE SUN ROOF WITH THE PNEUMATIC DEVICE. THE DEALER HAS NOT PROVIDED ANY ASSISTANCE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 11,000.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH WITH A BOAT IN TOW, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE, THE A-FRAME FAILED, AND THE MAIN FRAME COLLAPSED. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL AND THE BOAT DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP WHEN IT CRASHED INTO A BRIDGE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE INSURANCE COMPANY DID NOT INVESTIGATE THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THEY STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 11,500.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH ON WET PAVEMENT, ONE WHEEL LOST TRACTION AT 10 TO 15 DEGREES UPHILL. WHEN THE OTHER WHEEL REGAINED TRACTION, IT PULLED THE A-FRAME APART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE A-FRAME IS ATTACHED WITH TWO BOLTS. THE ATTACHMENT OF THE A-FRAME HAS A TWO INCH SLOT WITH A 5/8 INCH BOLT, NO LOCKS, WASHERS, OR ANYTHING HOLDING THE A-FRAME SECTION TOGETHER. WITH A TWO INCH SLOT AND A 5/8 INCH BOLT, THE STEERING CAPABILITY WILL BE NONEXISTENT IF THE NUT COMES OFF OF THE BOLT. IF THERE IS ANY TORQUE INVOLVED, THE ENERGY THAT IS INTRODUCED TO THE SLOT WILL RIP OUT THE A-FRAME SECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE CONTACT HAS PICTURES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE PURCHASE DATE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 11,500.
THE PASSENGER AIR BAG SYSTEM FAILS TO ENGAGE OCCASIONALLY WHEN A PASSENGER IS IN THE SEAT. MY WIFE WEIGHS 115 LBS, 5FT 2 IN AND ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS THE SYSTEM HAS NOT ENGAGED. THE CAR HAS BEEN TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE AND THEY HAVE BEEN SHOWN THE SYSTEM WAS OFF WITH A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT. THIRD TIME IS COMING THIS WEEK AS IT STILL ISN'T WORKING ALL THE TIME. EACH TIME THEY HAVE RELOADED THE COMPUTER SYSTEM AND IT WORKS FOR A WHILE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING (PONTIAC SOLSTICE 2007)AND THE CAR WENT OUT OF CONTROL. THE FRONT END HAD SOME DAMAGE TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE AFTER COMING IN CONTACT WITH A CEMENT BARRIER. I CONTACTED PONTIAC CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE TO REPORT THE ACCIDENT. GM SENT AN INVESTIGATOR TO REVIEW THE CAR. HE FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. HOWEVER, THE PONTIAC DEALERSHIP THAT I HAD THE CAR SENT TO AFTER THE ACCIDENT, REPLACED THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY (UNDER WARRANTY) ALONG WITH THE FRONT-END DAMAGE THAT MY INSURANCE COMPANY COVERED. I RECEIVED THE RECALL IN FEB. 2008 FOR THE REAR PINION SEAL LEAK AND HAD THE REQUIRED WORK DONE AT THAT TIME, ALSO. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE AN INTERIOR UNLOCK BUTTON FOR THE POWER DOOR LOCKS. THE CONTACT MUST PLACE THE VEHICLE IN PARK OR PUSH THE DOOR LOCK BUTTON MANUALLY IN ORDER TO UNLOCK THE DOORS. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS HOW THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 820.
PURCHASED NEW 2007 PONTIAC SOLSTICE 11/06. 3/12 DRIVING WEST BOUND AND TRUNK FLIES OPEN - NO WARNING LIGHT ON DASHBOARD. TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP ON 3/13 FOR AN ACCESSORY TO BE INSTALLED. DEALERSHIP CALLED ON 3/14 AND SAID TRUNK WAS BENT, SCRATCHED AND DAMAGED. WAS NOT THE CASE WHEN I TURNED IN THE CAR ON 3/13. PLAYED PHONE TAG THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK. DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME ON 3/19 THAT THE TRUNK OPENING AND DAMAGE TO TRUNK WAS MY FAULT AND THEY WILL NOT FIX UNDER WARRANTY, CONTACT INSURANCE COMPANY. CAR IS STILL NOT FIXED AS OF 3/21. *AK
CRACKED REAR AXLE AFTER OWNING VECHILE FOR 2 WEEKS. *TR
Had a recall for the airbags a few years ago. I got it "fixed" at that time but soon after getting it done, the "check airbags" light came back on. I've been chancing it each time I get behind the wheel because of the hassle I went through with dealing with the recall. The first GM location I went to wanted to charge me. The second GM location that "fixed" the airbag was over an hour away so I had to inconvenience someone to go back and forth with me to drop off and pick up the car days later. Then as mentioned, soon after the "repair", the light was back on so I believe they just put a band-aid on the problem but didnt really fix it. Now after coming very close to a collision, I want to get this repaired but do not feel I should pay for it. This is a safety concern and reading through the complaints, it appears many are having the same reoccurring issue. Car only has 55,000 miles.
