TAMARA RECALL. MY PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF WHEN THE FRONT SEAT IS USED AS SOON AS THE PERSON MOVES THEIR BUTT AROUND AND ALSO MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY GOING ON AND OFF FOR NO REASON. THE 2007 PONTIAC TORRENT GOT A RECALL FOR THE AIR BAGS AND SO SHOULD THE 2008'S THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT SAFE IF AN ACCIDENT WAS TO HAPPEN.. I ALSO HAVE CHILDREN OF MINE THAT RIDE IN MY CAR EVERYDAY AND WOULD LIKE THEM SAFE IF SOMETHING WAS TO HAPPEN

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC TORRENT. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE DRIVESHAFT DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT THIS WAS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THE VEHICLE COULD CRASH WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNAVAILABLE.
VALVE SPRING ON CYLINDER 6 COLLAPSED AND CREATED A MISFIRE ON THAT CYLINDER. THE HEAD HAD TO BE REMOVED AND MACHINED. IT CAUSED BAD ACCELERATION FROM IDLE TO ALMOST 10MPH. THEY REPLACED THE SPRING, ROCKER, AND PUSH ROD AMONG OTHER THINGS, I.E. GASKETS.
GAS PEDAL DOES NOT RETURN BACK WHEN PUSHED UP TO THE BOTTOM. IT CAN BE BROUGHT BACK ONLY WITH FOOT MOVING IT FROM BOTTOM UP. *TR
DRIVING AND HAD TO STOP FAST. WHEN SAFE TO CONTINUE DRIVING, UNABLE TO ACCELERATE AND THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ENGAGE AND THE SES LIGHT WAS ON. HAD SEVERAL TROUBLE CODES INCLUDING P0700. WAS DIAGNOSED BY MECHANIC TO BE THE 3-5 CLUTCH WAVE PLATE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC TORRENT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, A LOUD METAL ON METAL CLANKING NOISE EMITTED FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THE DRIVE SHAFT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THE FOURTH TIME PERTAINING TO THE DRIVE SHAFT REPLACEMENT. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE REPEATED FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO A DEFECT IN THE DESIGN OF THE DRIVE SHAFT. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
