IN AUGUST 2017 A DEFECTIVE ROLLER BEARING WENT OUT WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY, EFFECTIVELY DESTROYING THE INSIDE OF THE ENGINE. COST TO REPAIR WAS $4,000. IN DECEMBER 2017 TIPM POWER MODULE MALFUNCTIONED CAUSING HEADLIGHTS TO NOT WORK. COST TO REPLACE $1,150. BOTH ITEMS HAVE THOUSANDS OF CONSUMER COMPLAINTS ABOUT BEING DEFECTIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT INTO THE PARK POSITION. THE CONTACT HAD TO ENGAGE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE FROM ROLLING BACKWARDS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH HIS LOCAL DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO ADVISED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 RAM 1500. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS UNDERGOING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE FRAME WAS RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SAM LEMAN CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE OF PEORIA (309-692-1801, LOCATED AT 1801 W PIONEER PKWY, PEORIA, IL 61615) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
RAKATA RECALL. DOES NOT WANT CRANK TURNS OVER BUT WILL NOT CRANK SETTING STILL RE SET THE COMPUTER WILL CRANK SOME TIMES 107784 MILES
FIRST I NOTICED A TICK IN THE ENGINE WHEN STARTING IT COLD. TURNED OUT TO BE BROKEN EXHAUST MANIFOLD STUDS AND CRACKED MANIFOLDS ON BOTH SIDES. PASSENGER SIDE WAS WORSE. WAS REPLACED WITH GRADE 8 BOLTS AND NEW MANIFOLDS AND GASKETS. NOW I HAVE A DIAGNOSED LIFTER FAILURE AT 58,000 MILES AND IT IS ONLY GETTING LOUDER. IT HONESTLY SOUNDS LIKE A SPUN CAM SEAL AND FLAT LIFTER IN MY EXPERIENCE. DODGE WILL NOT REMEDY THE PROBLEM AS I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE OUT OF POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. MANY MORE ARE HAVING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE WITH LIFTER FAILURE. IT IS KNOCKING HARD. THIS IS THE DESCRIBED "HEMI" TICK. THE CAMSHAFTS AND LIFTERS ARE LOW GRADE MATERIAL IN THIS MODEL. I HAVE REPORTS OF DIAGNOSIS IF NEEDED.
THE MANIFOLD STUD BOLTS ARE BREAKING OFF IN THE HEAD MOST COMMONLY WITH 7 AND 8 CYLINDER...CAUSE A HORRUBLE EXHAUST LEAK AND CAUSING THE MANIFOLD TO WORP AND CRACK
VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER (SHUT OFF/STALLED) WHILE IN MOTION ON 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS; 1ST TIME VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 80MPH ON FREEWAY; BRAKES AND STEERING LOST POWER FUNCTION MAKING IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO PULL OVER TO EMERGENCY SHOULDER AND AVOID POSSIBLE COLLISION; EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION; 2ND TIME VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING FROM STOP TO APPROXIMATELY 20MPH ON CITY STREET THEN LOST ALL POWER, HAD TO COAST VEHICLE ACROSS 2 LANES OF TRAFFIC AND WAS NOT ABLE TO PULL OVER OUT OF BUS LANE; VEHICLE WAS NOT OUT OF GAS, NO MALFUNCTION INDICATORS WERE ON, VEHICLE WILL NOT START (AS IF FUEL PUMP FAILED) TRAVELING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS OR ANY SPEED AND LOSING ALL POWER IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS. ADDING THAT MOST PROBABLY TOW TRAILERS, ETC...MAKES THIS EVEN MORE HAZARDOUS. ALSO, WE ARE IN AZ WITH EXTREME HEAT, TRAVELING WITH 2 SMALL CHILDREN, AND TO BE RANDOMLY STRANDED WITH ZERO POWER CAUSES ADDITIONAL LIFE THREATENING HAZARDS I PERSONALLY REQUEST, AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE AND FINDING AN ALARMING AMOUNT OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS, THIS SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE NEEDS TO BE IMMEDIATELY INVESTIGATED AND THOSE HELD ACCOUNTABLE BY WAY OF REQUIRED RECALL AND RESOLUTION
THE MEMORY SEAT "FRAME" HAS CRACKED AND IS A SAFETY HAZARD. OCCURRED OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. THE ISSUE DOES NOT ALLOW THE SEAT TO AUTO OR SELF ADJUST. CURRENTLY CRACKED PARTS AND PHOTO OF SAME ARE UNKNOWN UNTIL THE DEALERSHIP GETS TO REPAIRING THE ISSUE.....WHICH IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AT THIS AGE AND MILEAGE. REPORTED ON AUGUST 2, 2017.
ITS A SIN AND A SHAME THAT THESE BRIGHT MINDS WENT AWAY FROM THE STANDARD I PIECE RELAY IN THE FUSE BOX TO THIS COMPUTER MESS EVERY MORNING I GO TO WORK AT 4 AM AND I HAVE TO TURN THE KEY ON AND LET IT SIT FOR 10 TO 15 MIN BEFORE IT WILL START AND THEN DURING THE DAY IF I LET IT SIT FOR MORE THAT AN 1 HR I HAVE TO LET IT SIT ANOTHER 15 MIN BEFORE I CAN START THE TRUCK I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL DODGE/CHRYSLER OWNER SINCE 1999 AND UNTIL NOW HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY UNTIL NOW IF THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE FUEL PUMP RELAY FIX IT AT NO CHARGE THATS THE WAY A REAL MANUFACTURER KEEPS ITS CUSTOMERS HAPPY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 RAM 1500. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING, THE ENGINE STALLED. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE LOST ALL ELECTRICAL POWER. ALSO, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ROLL WHILE THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO FUNCTION AGAIN AND THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO GAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (ACADEMY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM AT 5080 ACADEMY LN, BESSEMER, AL 35022, (205) 545-8052) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIPM MALFUNCTIONED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,000.
ON 5/30/2017 WE HAD THE REAR END REPLACED ON MY 2011 DODGE RAM 1500 BY THE DEALER IN OCEAN NJ. I EXPLAINED TO THEM BEFORE THE WORK WAS DONE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE PINION BEARING THAT I JUST HAD DONE PREVIOUSLY. I EXPLAINED THAT WAS MORE THAN A COINCIDENCE THAT THE REAR END WOULD HAPPEN TO GO AND WAS NOT DAMAGED BEFORE RECALL WAS DISCOVERED. THEY DECIDED THEY I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR LABOR AND THEY WOULD PAY FOR THE PARTS, WHICH COST ME $1032.00 AND THEY PAID $727.00. THIS REAR END PROBLEM WAS ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA , BLOGS AND FORUMS ABOUT PEOPLE HAVING SAME ISSIUE. I WAS ALSO NEVER TOLD ABOUT BUYBACK PROGRAM THAT WAS ANNOUNCED, AND WHEN I ASKED DEALER THEY SAID TO ME THAT THE 2011 DODGE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM WHICH WAS NOT TRUE AT ALL.
The exhaust manifold cracked, the electrical system, supplying gas to the engine, is built into the fuse box, which is unfixable without replacing the entire fuse box. Valve on engine became extremely noisy and I’ve had to be replaced
FUEL PUMP RELAY FAILURE. FOR A WHILE TRUCK WOULD JUST LOSE POWER AND JERK AT HIGH SPEED. ONCE IT DIED COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING AT A MODERATE SPEED. EVENTUALLY IT JUST WOULDN'T START AT ALL. PURCHASED THE EXTERNAL RELAY KIT AND IT FIXED THE PROBLEM. SINCE THIS IS A WIDELY KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS PARTICULAR TIPM IN MANY DIFFERENT VEHICLES, I'M ANNOYED THAT THIS WASN'T PART OF A RECALL. ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE DANGER OF A VEHICLE TURNING OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF OPERATION.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE A 2011 RAM 1500 WITH 82,000 MILES ON IT. I GOT MY TRUCK TOWED TO DODGE BECAUSE IT WAS NOT STARTING. IT WOULD CRANK OVER BUT NEVER START AND THEN WOULD LOCK UP COMPLETELY LEAVING ME LOCKED OUT OF MY VEHICLE AND SOMETIMES MY KEY WOULDN'T EVEN COME OUT OF THE IGNITION. I TOLD THEM ALL OF THIS INFO AND THEY TOLD ME IT NEEDED TO BE FLASHED! I PAID $200 FOR THEM TO FLASH MY TRUCK AND SUPPOSIVELY "UPDATE" IT. A WEEK LATER, IT STARTED DOING IT AGAIN. IT WOULDN'T START OR UNLOCK! IT EVEN STALLED ON ME WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING ME TO LOSE ALL CONTROL! LUCKILY I GOT IT OFF THE ROAD SAFELY: EVEN WITH IT BEING LOCKED UP AND HAVING NO CONTROL!! NOT TO MENTION THAT I AM 7 MONTHS PREGNANT!!! THE NEXT MORNING I WAKE UP TO GO TO THE STORE, AND IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL!!! ONCE AGAIN, GOT IT TOWED TO THE SAME DODGE DEALERSHIP!! I TOLD THEM I WANT IT DONE RIGHT THIS TIME SINCE I PAID FOR THEM TO FIX IT THE FIRST TIME!!! I WAS NOT ABOUT TO GO INTO LABOR AND NOT HAVE A RUNNING VEHICLE TO GET US TO THE HOSPITAL!! THEY FINALLY CALLED ME AND SAID THAT IT'S A BAD TIPM! CHARGED ME $1,400 TO REPAIR IT!! I GET ONLINE TO READ ABOUT IT, AND I SEE THOUSANDS OF OTHER RAM 1500 OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM!!! THEN I SPEAK TO A FRIEND WHO OWNED A RAM 1500 WHO RECENTLY CRASHED AND TOTALED IT DUE TO THE TIPM GOING BAD. IF I WOULD HAVE CRASHED AND LOST MY BABY BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A HUGE PROBLEM! I DO NOT GET WHY THIS PART HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED YET FOR THE 1500. 7 MILLION OTHER CHRYSLER VEHICLES WERE RECALLED BECAUSE OF A FAULTY TIPM! PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GET HURT OR DIE BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE!!! SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!
I HAVE A LOUD WHINING AN NOW IS A LOUD GROWLING IN DIFFERENTIAL OR REAR WHEEL BEARINGS AT ALL SPEEDS. I SAW ON THE INTERNET WHERE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH 2009 THRU 2012 DODGE RAM TRUCKS 1500 SERIES. SUPPOSEDLY CHRYSLER HAS RECALLED THESE TRUCKS BUT TWO CALLS TO CHRYSLER TODAY APRIL 13, 2017 THEY ADVISED ME THERE ARE NO RECALLS ON REAR WHEEL BEARINGS OR DIFFERENTIALS. THIS PROBLEM CAN CAUSE A LOCK UP OF THE REAR GEARS AND LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE TRUCK AT ANY SPEED. MY ENGINE HAS 99, 800 MILES AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, THE DODGE DEALERSHIP ADVISED ME THAT MY CAM SHAFT AND MY LIFTER WAS DAMAGED AND NEEDED REPLACING. THE DEALERSHIP ALSO ADVISED ME THAT IT WAS CAUSED BY PRE-MATURE FAILURE.
"TAKATA RECALL " FIRST BOUGHT THE TRUCK IN 2015. 2ND DAY I HAD IT ALMOST COUGHT ON FIRE 78000 MILES SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE BATTERY. 2017 99000 MILES LIFTERS ARE TICKING AND IT DOESN'T WANT TO START IT FREAKS OUT EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE IF YOU TRY AND START IT ALL THE LIGHTS FLASH THEN IT'S GOOD FOR A MONTH
TRUCK HAS A HARD TIME STARTING FIRST TIME OF THE DAY AFTER THAT IT IS OK
TAKATA RECALL THE TIPM WENT BAD IN MY TRUCK AT 85,000 MILES. TRUCK WILL NOT START AT TIMES, IT WILL LOCK ME OUT OF MY OWN VEHICLE (THANK GOD MY KIDS WERE NEVER LOCKED IN). THE FUEL PUMP RUNS CONSTANTLY EVEN WHEN THE TRUCK IS TURNED OFF BECAUSE THE TIPM DOES NOT ALLOW IT TO TURN OFF. IT AFFECTS ALL OF MY ELECTRICAL STUFF, INCLUDING RADIO, POWER LOCKS AND POWER WINDOWS. MY WINDOWS WILL ROLE DOWN OUT OF NOWHERE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF, AND THE WINDOWS WILL NOT ROLE BACK UP. THE BACKUP CAMERA WILL COME ON WHILE I AM DRIVING FORWARD, MY RADIO WILL FREEZE UP TO WHERE I CAN NO DO ANYTHING TO IT. MY KEY GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND WILL NOT COME OUT! THE WHOLE ENTIRE TRUCK JUST LOCKS UP. WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING, AND IT DECIDES TO SHUT OFF OUT OF NOWHERE, I LOSE ALL POWER!!! NO BRAKES OR STEERING!!! ITS UNCONTROLLABLE!! THERE HAS BEEN MANY MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS PROBLEM WITH THE TIPM IN THE 2011 RAM 1500 INCLUDING PEOPLE ALMOST GETTING INTO ACCIDENTS. MY FRIEND ALSO HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM AND TOTALED HIS TRUCK BECAUSE IT LOCKED UP ON HIM WHILE DRIVING! ALL OF THESE COMPLAINTS AND WELL AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, RAM STILL DECIDES NOT TO RECALL IT OR EVEN FIX IT!! IF I WAS AWARE OF THIS AND KNOWN THE DANGER I PUT MYSELF IN AND OTHERS IN EVERYDAY, I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 RAM 1500. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, A FUEL ODOR WAS DETECTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A FRACTURED EXHAUST MANIFOLD. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLT NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND THE VEHICLE STARTED TO MISFIRE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SEVERAL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CROSSROADS NISSAN-WAKE FOREST (11120 CAPITAL BLVD, WAKE FOREST, NC 27587) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAM SHAFT NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS AWAITING REPLACEMENT OF THE MANIFOLD BOLT AND CAM SHAFT. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V821000 (POWER TRAIN) AND 18V160000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RECALL REPAIRS WERE EXCEEDING A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. THE CONTACT CALLED TWO DEALERS: (CROSSROADS NISSAN, 11120 CAPITAL BLVD, WAKE FOREST, NC 27587) AND (WESTGATE DODGE, 6421 OLD WESTGATE RD, RALEIGH, N 27617) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN THE TWO NHTSA RECALLS, BUT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 56,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE SEIZED. UPON INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE REAR DRIVESHAFT SEPARATED FROM THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE PART WAS UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V038000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,968.
I'VE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE GETTING MY TRUCK TO START. THIS PAST WEEKEND ( 3/11/2017 ) WHILE I WAS OUT SHOPPING, IT WOULDN'T START WHEN I GOT BACK IN IT. IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS OUT OF GAS. I THOUGHT THE FUEL PUMP HAD WENT OUT. I GOT IT TOWED, HAS THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THE TIPM IS THE PROBLEM. THEN I FOUND OUT THAT CHRYSLER KNEW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM WITH THE TIPM FOR YEARS AND NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I'M JUST GLAD I WAS IN A PARKING LOT WHEN THIS THING GAVE OUT INSTEAD ON THE HIGHWAY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.
THE CAB BRAKE LIGHT AND THE TAIL LIGHTS STAY ON, AND THE BRAKE IS NOT BEING APPLIED. GETTING THE FACTORY TRAILER BRAKE LIGHT FLASHING, ANTI SKID LIGHT ON DASH, AND THE 4WD SERVICE LIGHT ON DASH.
AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSER UNDER DASH WENT OUT AT ABOUT 85,000 MILES. AT 105,000 MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO 3 DIFFERENT SHOPS AND ALL 3 FOUND NUMBER 5 CYLINDER OF MY 5.7 CYLINDER ENGINE WAS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. AFTER DEEPER INVESTIGATION IT TURNED OUT TO BE A WORN CAMSHAFT LOBE. ALL OIL CHANGES WERE DONE AT PROPER INTERVALS AND USED SYNTHETIC OILS. MECHANIC SAID IT WAS COMMON WITH THE 5.7 ENGINE.
ENGINE GOING DEAD ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHILE CAR IS MOVING THEREFORE STEERING IS LOCKED. HAS ,HAPPENED ON THE INTERSTATE @ 70 MPH, CITY STREET @ 30 - 40 MPH AND COUNTY ROAD @ APPX 10 MPH. LOCAL DEALERSHIP HAS NO RECALL NOTIFICATION NOR CAN THEY IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. WE CANNOT FIND RECALL NOTIFICATION ON THIS WEBSITE.

UPON INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED FLUID ON THE ENGINE AND SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CHECK ENGINE, COOLANT, AND SERVICE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. FUEL ALWAYS SPILLS EVERY TIME I FILL MY TANK. I THINK IT MIGHT BE A DANGEROUS. OVERSPILL ALWAYS HAPPENS WHEN FILLING TANK
THE TRUCK BURNS THROUGH OIL AT A HIGH RATE AND AFTER IT DOES THEIR IS NO LOW OIL LIGHT BEING TURNED ON BY THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK RAN HOT AND MADE THE CAM POSITION SENSOR FAIL. I AM AFRAID IT WILL BURN EVEN MORE AND CAUSE PREMATURE ENGINE FAILURE AND SENSOR FAILURE WHICH IS NOT COVER BY WARRANTIES. THE LAST TIME IN A MONTH IT BURNED THROUGH 4 QUARTS, THE DEALER SAID IF THEY DO NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG THEY WOULD CHARGE ME A DIAGNOSTIC FEE. I HAVE HAD MANY OLD DODGE TRUCKS AND EVEN A 2007 RAM WHICH ALWAYS HAD OIL BETWEEN OIL CHANGES AND THAT NEVER BURNED THROUGH SO MUCH OIL. THIS HAPPENS AS I DRIVE AND NEVER ONCE DOES IT SAY LOW OIL, THE ONLY REASON I FIGURED IT OUT IS I AM MECHANICALLY INCLINE AND OBSERVED THE OIL PRESSURE DROP DOWN TO 14PS ON THE TRUCKS INFORMATION CONSOL. ALSO THE TRUCK HAD GONE INTO A MODE WHERE THE THROTTLE DID NOT RESPOND AND THE TRUCK WOULD NOT DOWN SHIFT. ALL THIS HAPPENS AT THE SAME TIME AND IF IT HAPPENS ON A HIGHWAY MAY CAUSE A CRASH BECAUSE THE TRUCK DOES NOT SHIFT PROPERLY ALONG WITH NO OIL THE ENGINE WILL FAIL.

I PULLED OUT OF DRIVEWAY THE TIPM LIGHT WENT OUT BUT THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT STAYED ON THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME I WAS DRIVING IT. THEN I GOT HOME AND THE KEY LITERAL FELL OUT WHILE DRIVING IT AND I LOST ALL POWER. WHEN MY HUSBAND CAME TO MY RESCUE THE TRUCK STARTED JUST FINE AND HE DROVE IT HOME ONLY TO HAVE TURNED THE KEYFOB TO OFF POSITION AND PULL OUT THE KEYFOB AND HAVE THE TRUCK STILL RUNNING. BROUGHT TO DEALER ONLY TO BE TOLD NO RECALL ISSUES, THAT THEY THINK IT HAS SOMETHING TO DUE WITH MY AFTER MARKET STEREO THAT WAS PUT IN OVER 5 YEARS AGO. THE ADVISOR CALLED ME AFTER HAVING TO TRUCK FOR 3 DAY TO TELL ME TECH NEEDS ANOTHER 4 HOURS WITH IT AND IT WAS GOING TO BE 600.00 ONTOP OF THE 150.00 I ALREADY OWED . I ASKED TO SPEAK TO MANAGER WHO COULD NOT TELL ME THAT THEY RULED ANYTHING ELSE OUT WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE ME A PRINTOUT OF WHAT WAS DONE. I ASKED ABOUT THE TIPM AND HE LOOKED AT ME LIKE I WAS CRAZY.
