CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON,FOLLOWED BY " THROTTLE CONTROL SENSOR " TRUCK ALMOST STALLED , THEN SEEMED SLUGGISH . DEALERSHIP REPLACED ACCELERATOR RELATED SENSOR. 2 WEEKS LATER, SAME THING HAPPENED, SAME LOCATION, ONLY THIS TIME, AFTER ALMOST STALLING, TRUCK HAD LITTLE POWER. TAKING A RIGHT TURN AT THE NEXT STREET I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, WHEN L TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, THE TRUCK ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN, WITHOUT MY FOOT ON THE PEDAL, CREATING A DANGEROUS SITUATION. TRUCK WAS TOWED TO DEALERSHIP, WHERE THEY ARE EXAMINING THE WIRE HARNESS FOR A SHORT. I DON'T KNOW IF I WILL FEEL SAFE OPERATING THIS VEHICLE AGAIN.

The contact owns a 2011 Ram1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V160000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and 17V821000 (Power Train) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the dealer had confirmed that parts were ordered; however, when the vehicle was brought into the dealer for the recall repair, the contact was informed that parts had not been ordered. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. Parts distribution disconnect.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT COMPUTER SYSTEM WAS MALFUNCTIONING AND CAUSED THE ENGINE TO TURN OFF, THE DOORS TO UNLOCK, THE POWER WINDOWS TO ROLL DOWN, AND THE FUEL PUMP TO CONTINUE RUNNING WHEN THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TRISTAR MOTORS SOMERSET (1260 N CENTER AVE, SOMERSET, PA 15501), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.
MY TRUCK WOULD NOT START HAD IT DIAGNOSED. FOUND IT WAS ACOMMON PROBLEM. THE TIPM PART# RL692319AJ FOUND TO COST 900.00 CRAZY. IT WAS FOUND TO BE TO COMMON OF PROBLEM NOT TO BE ON A RECALL .......................I WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SUCH AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR.
FUEL SPITS-BACK ON SIDE OF VEHICLE AND GROUND WHILE FILLING TANK. HAPPENS BOTH ON AUTOMATIC FILL, BOTH SLOW AND FAST FILL, AND ALSO WHEN MANUALLY FILLING TANK. HAPPENS JUST AS THE BACK PRESSURE SENSOR ON THE SERVICE STATION GAS PUMP TRIPS OFF WHEN TANK IS NEARING FULL. VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED USED IN DECEMBER 2016 WITH APPROXIMATELY 55,000 MILES. THE SPIT BACK DID NOT START UNTIL RECENTLY, APPROXIMATELY NOVEMBER 2017. HAPPENS EVERY TIME TANK IS FILLED NOW. IF MANUALLY STOP NOZZLE BEFORE TANK IS FULL IT DOES NOT HAPPEN.
L BACKED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND SHIFTED TO DRIVE THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN. THIS HAPPENED A COUPLE OF TIMES AND NOW IT SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING AT 35 - 40 MPH.
THE KEY IS VERY LOOSE IN IGNITION SHUTS OFF OUT OF NO WHERE I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE HAVE HAD IT TO DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND STATES THAT IT'S NOT UNDER WARRANT OR RECALL THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN

MY VEHICLE WILL NOT CRANK ALL THE TIME. THE BOX UNDER THE HOOD IS GOING OUT AND IT CAN CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO CATCH ON FIRE. OUR MECHANIC CAN NOT FIND THE REPLACEMENT PART. WE OUT NEW STARTER BATTERY AND FUEL PUMP ON IT. IT CAUSED THE FUEL PUMP TO RUN WITHOUT A KEY.
REAR END BEARING NOISE WHILE HIGHWAY DRIVING. REFERENCE PREVIOUS RECALLS FOR 2011 RAM 1500 FOR REAR BEARING FAILURE CAUSING AXLE TO LOCK UP WHILE DRIVING. POTENTIAL CRASH HAZARD FROM LOSS OF CONTROL. HOWEVER THIS VIN IS APPARENTLY NOT COVERED BY RECALL!!
My truck has the same Fuse box assembly that several other dodge jeep vehicles have that the fuel pump relay shorts out while driving yet none of yalls recalls include my specific vehicle so that I can get my truck fixed under the multiple recalls yall have issued for this exact problem, dodge should be held liable for their mistakes not the consumers who are having to pay to fix the issue out of pocket simply because y'all didn't include our vehicles in the recall, my vehicle has shorted out many times almost causing us to nearly have multiple wrecks
MY TRUCK WILL NOT CRANK SOMETIMEA. I PUT A NEW STARTER AND NEW BATTERY ON IT AND IT WORKS FOR A WHILE AND THEN STOPS. ONE TIME THE FUEL PUMP RAN WITH THE TRUCK TURNED OFF MY SERVICE MAN SAYS IT'S THE COMPUTER BOX AND THIS MORNING IT WOULD NOT CRANK AT ALL. THIS PART IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND HARD TO FIND, FROM WHAT I'VE READ THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL.
ENGINE LOST COMPRESSION VALVES CAUSED A LOT OF DAMAGE TO ENG. HAVE TO REPLACE ENG
ENGINE LIFTERS. I HAVE A 2011 DODGE RAM 1500 I NOTICED A TICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE TOP OF THE ENGINE. UPON A FREE DIAGNOSTICS TEST I WAS TOLD MY TRUCK HAS LIFTER FAILURE. THE ENGINE STALLS IN TRAFFIC HARD TO START QUOTE TO FIX $3500 TO FIX. IF I LIVED IN A BIGGER CITY I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A WRECK BY NOW BECAUSE IT ISN'T DRIVABLE IT STALLS OUT NO POWER STEERING HARD TO TURN BRAKES ARE HARD TO PUSH SOMETIMES IT TAKES A WHILE TO START BACK UP I WOULDN'T WANT TO BE ON A BUSY HIGH WAY. THIS ISN'T JUST A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS ACTION.

THE LOCAL DEALER, SOUTH HILL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT 3344 WASHINGTON ROAD, MCMURRAY, PA 15317 WAS CONTACTED, THEY SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 75,000.
ENGINE IS LOOSING POWER, NUMBER 3 CYCLINDER IS NOT WORKING. I HAVE DONE TUNE UP AND REPLACED PLUGS AND COILS. I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS ON THIS TRUCK TO GET IT TO WORK. THE PIC IS PLUGS FROM #3 CYC AFTER 2 MONTHS USE. AFTER READING ABOUT OTHER RAM OWNERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM I AM THINKING IT IS A DEFECT AND SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO.
AT 140000 MILES TRUCK KICK CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAD IT CHECKED BY MECHANIC CODE P0301 SHOWED CYLINDER 1 MISFIRE. DID TROUBLE SHOOTING, CHANGING PLUGS, COIL PACK, INJECTOR CLEANER, AND AIR INTAKE SENSOR. NOTHING WORKED. DID COMPRESSION CHECK AND FOUND CYLINDER 1 HAS LOST COMPRESSION. MAYBE BROKEN VALVE SPRING, WHEN TRIED TO REPLACE FOUND VALVE WAS BARELY MOVING. PLUS HAD A LIFTER TAPPING NOISE. COST FOR REPAIRS WILL BE OVER $4000. FOUND OUT THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE FOR THIS YEAR TRUCK WITH THE 5 7 HEMI.
VEHICLE STOPPED RUNNING WHILE DRIVING ENDANGERING PREGNANT GIRLFRIEND AS THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING NOR WAS THERE POWER BRAKES. AFTER MANY TESTS IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE A FAULTY TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE, ALSO KNOWN AS A TIPM. THIS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FAILURE HAS BEEN SUBJECT TO A RECALL ON JEEP AND CHRYSLER VEHICLES DUE TO THE SAME COMPONENT FAILING. SHE WAS DRIVING DOWN A TWO LANE CITY HIGHWAY, LET OFF THE GAS, AND LOST ALL POWER.
MY 2005 DODGE RAM HAD A RECALL FOR REAR PINION ISSUE. NOW I HAVE A 2011 DODGE RAM THAT IS HAVING THE SAME NOISE FROM THE REAR END. HA E HAD IT LOOKED AT BY MULTIPLE MECHANICS AND HAVE BEEN TOLD IT'S THE REAR PINION BEARINGS IN THIS TRUCK AD WELL.

TRUCK HAS 76K MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON CODED MISFIRE CYL #5 NO PROBLEM CHANGED PLUGS. STILL ON . CHANGED COIL STILL ON . DROVE TO WORK NEXT MORNING RUNNING VERY RUFF VERY POOR MILEAGE. MECHANIC PICKED UP THE TRUCK. CALLED ME BACK 1HR OR SO LATER LIFTER STUCK NOT OPENING VALVE ON CYL 5 COMPLETELY.RESEARCH ONLINE SHOW THIS TO BE A VERY COMMON DEFECT FOR THIS YR MAKE N MODEL 5.7HEMI. WHAT IS WORSE IS THAT THE MANUFACTURE HAS DONE NOTHING ABOUT IT . SOME DEALERS WONT EVEN BOTHER TO LOOK AT THE ISSUE. NO VEHICLE SHOULD GO FROM SIMPLE MISFIRE CODE TO CATOSTROPHIC FAILURE LIKE THAT . AND NO DEALER SHOW ALLOW ITS CUSTOMERS TO SUFFER THE LOSSES FOR THERE NEGLIGENCE ......... IF YOU GOOGLE RAM MISFIRE THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL FIND , AND NOT ONE STORY WILL IT BE DO TO A SPARK PLUG OR A COIL. CATOSTROPHIC CAM AND LIFTER FAILURE REPAIR COST RANGE FROM 3800-6000 NOT INCLUDING LOSS OF WORK OR TIME.
PASSENGER SIDE FACTORY INSTALLED "DODGE" STEP BAR FELL OFF THE TRUCK AS MY 90LBS. DAUGHTER STEPPED IN. AS HER & THE STEP BAR WENT CRASHING TO THE GROUND SHE BANGED HER ELBOW REALLY HARD ON THE DOOR LATCH STRIKER. COMPONENT IS HELD TO THE INNER ROCKER PANEL OF THE TRUCKS CAB WITH 6 EXPANDING RIVET NUTS THAT HAVE VERY LITTLE SURFACE CONTACT AREA. IT APPEARS THAT THE STEEL OF THE INNER ROCKER HAS FATIGUED OVER TIME & CRACKED. THE CRACKS ALLOWED THE METAL TO CONICALLY DEFORM TO THE POINT WHERE THE RIVET NUTS WERE ABLE TO POP OUT OF THE BODY. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE IF IT HAD BEEN AN ELDERLY PERSON ON THE STEP BAR INSTEAD OF A RESILIENT MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUNGSTER.
TTOTALLY INTERGRAED POWER MODULE (TIPM) RECALL ON THE DODGE RAM 2011 THE BATTERY KEEPS DRAINING OVER NIGHT STATIONARY PARK IN DRIVEWAY.
MY VEHICLE IS STALLING OUT WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY, MY BRAKES AND STEERING WHEEL LOCK UP AND I JUST HAD TO TRY TO GET IT STOPPED AND TURNED OFF. ALSO, MY FUEL PUMP REMAINS RUNNING AFTER I HAVE TURNED MY PICKUP OFF. I HAVE GONE THROUGH TWO BRAND NEW FUSE BOXES, AND TWO FUEL PUMPS TO TRY TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. THE FUEL PUMP RELAY IS WHAT CONTINUES TO FRY, WHICH IN TURN FRIES MY ENTIRE FUSE BOX DUE TO IT BEING BUILT INTO THE ACTUAL MODULE WITHIN THE FUSE BOX. I AM $1600 IN WITH THE SAME EXACT PROBLEMS EACH TIME- I HAVE DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH ON THE ISSUE, AND I CAME ACROSS MULTIPLE RECALL NOTICES FOR A 5.7 L HEMI, WHICH IS WHAT I HAVE IN MY PICKUP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE. WHEN THE CONTACT PARKED AND EXITED THE VEHICLE, HE NOTICED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS HANGING LOW. THE CONTACT TIED THE FUEL TANK WITH A STRAP AND CONTINUED DRIVING TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FERNELIUS TOYOTA (LOCATED AT 11283 N STRAITS HWY, SUITE 1, CHEBOYGAN, MI 49721, (231) 627-5673) WHERE THEY USED A TEMPORARY STRAP TO SECURE THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE RECEIVED RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V160000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) AFTER THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000. *TR
TRUCK WOULD NOT START. HAD IT TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AND FOUND OUT THE TIPM MODULE WHICH CONTROLS THE FUEL PUMP RELAY WAS BAD. LOOKED IT UP ONLINE AND THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHERS DEALING WITH THE ISSUE ON THE 4.7 RAM 1500. THE DEALER WANTS TO CHARGE THE OWNERS $1,250 TO FIX THE PROBLEM THEY KNOW ABOUT. PURCHASED TRUCK ON JANUARY 13, 2017. IT HAD 75,000 MILES ON IT.
JUST STOPPED STARTING PUT FUEL PUMP ON AND STILL DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEMS. CALLED DODGE AND THEY WERE VERY RUDE

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE INSPECTED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL TANK STRAP FRACTURED DUE TO SEVERE RUST AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AN UNKNOWN DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE PERTAINING TO THE FUEL SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE REPAIRED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. WE PURCHASED A 2011 RAM 1500 5.7L HEMI IN 2012 AND LOVED IT UP UNTIL NOVEMBER 2017, WENT IN TO POWER SAVING MODE WITH CEL ON. SCANNED CODES AND IT WAS TIMING CODE. SO WE REPLACED THE VVT SOLENOID AND IT IS RUNNING EVEN WORSE! WE H AVE SPENT OVER $2500 JUST TRYING TO DIAGNOSE THIS TRUCK! WE ARE BEYOND UPSET ABOUT IT, ESPECIALLY DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE DONT EVEN HAVE IT PAID OFF! IT HAS TONS WHITE SMOKE COMING OUT OF TAIL PIPE, TERRIBLE MISFIRE, SHAKING, BLOW BY, PRESSURE COMING OUT OF OIL FILL CAP, AND CEL IS ON. HAS CYLINDER 1 MI SFIRE. WE HAVE REDONE THE SPARK PLUGS, INTAKE MANIFOLD AND GASKETS, PCV, VVT SOLENOID,AIR FILTER, OIL FILTER, COIL PACK,INJECTOR CLIPS, AND MUCH MORE! HAVE TAKEN THIS TRUCK TO 4 ASE CERTIFIED MECHANICS (2 OF WHICH ARE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIPS) AND HAVE NO ANSWERS BESIDES POSSIBLE CAUSES CAMS AND LIFTERS AND THEY WANT ME TO JUST BUY ANOTHER ENGINE!! OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE PISTONS,RINGS, CAM,LIFTERS, AND CRANK. $2500 PLUS IN JUST DIAGNOSING AND NO ANSWERS?! SEEMS PRETTY FISHY!
TIPM FUEL PUMP RELAY FAILURE. ENGINE CRANKS, BUT WILL NOT START. THIS IS A WELL KNOW ISSUE WITH MANY CHRYSLER AND DODGE MODELS. DEALER TELLS ME THIS IS "RARE". TYPE TIPM FUEL PUMP RELAY FAILURE IN GOOGLE AND SEE THAT THIS IS NOT THE CASE. LUCKY THAT MINE FAILED AT HOME IN MY DRIVEWAY. DEALER WANTED $1200 TO FIX. ORDERED PARTS ONLINE ($250) AND FIXED MYSELF AFTER WATCHING YOUTUBE VIDEOS. EASY FIX. DON'T LET DEALER OR MECHANIC TELL YOU OTHERWISE. TOOK ME ABOUT 30 MINUTES. BASICALLY UNPLUG TO OLD TIPM AND PLUG IN THE REPLACEMENT. CHRYSLER/DODGE USED A CHEAP FUEL PUMP RELAY THAT IS FAILING WHICH REQUIRES THE ENTIRE TIPM TO BE REPLACED OR THE FUEL RELAY TO BE REPAIRED (WHICH MOST PEOPLE CAN'T DO THEMSELVES). FAILING TIPM CAN CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO NOT START, BATTERY DRAIN (FUEL PUMP CONTINUES TO RUN AFTER VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF YOU CAN HEAR IT RUNNING IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE) AND WIPERS, LIGHTS AND DOOR LOCKS CAN ACTIVATE AUTOMATICALLY EVEN AFTER THE VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF. CHRYSLER/DODGE IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL ON ALL THEIR VEHICLES THAT HAVE THIS DEFECTIVE TIPM!!
I WAS HAVING ISSUES STARTING MY TRUCK, SO I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. I LEARNED THE ISSUE WAS A FAULTY TIPM SENDING BAD SIGNALS TO THE FUEL PUMP. BECAUSE THE SYSTEM IS INTEGRATED AND DEPENDANT ON ONE ANOTHER THE REPAIR IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND EXTENSIVE.
VEHICLE WILL STALL WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT WARNING (STEERING WHEEL WILL LOCK UP AND BRAKE PEDAL BECOME HARD), THE FUEL PUMP RELAY LOCATED WITH IN THE (TIPM) FAILS CAUSES VEHICLE NOT TO START OR RUN, ELECTRICAL ISSUES SUCH AS; SOME LIGHTS WORKING EVERY NOW AND THEN, CIGARETTE LIGHTER BLOWING FUSE,
CRANK NO START. AFTER SEVERAL TRIES IT WILL START. SOMETIMES IT WILL JUST DIE WHILE DRIVING. THEY USED THE RECALL KIT FOR THE CHEROKEE TO FIX MY TRUCK. I HAVE THE SAME TIPM COMPUTER AS A CHEROKEE SO WHY ISN'T MY VEHICLE INCLUDED ON SAME RECALL?

AFTER TURNING MY VEHICLE OFF I CAN STILL HEAR A NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR CENTER PORTION OF MY VEHICLE LIKE WHERE THE FUEL PUMP IS. IT IS LIKE THE FUEL PUMP STILL RUNNING IT DRAINS MY BATTERY DEAD
MY TRUCK WOULD CRANK BUT NOT START SOMETIMES AFTER BEING PARKED FOR A WHILE. I THOUGHT IT MAY HAVE BEEN FROM THE HUMIDITY. IT WILL CRANK AND NOT START A COUPLE OF TIMES MORE OFTEN NOW. WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY SOMETIMES, IT WILL SPUTTER FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS. I THOUGHT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN FROM HAVING A LITTLE WATER IN THE GASOLINE FROM THE ETHANOL. I'VE BEEN USING FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER AND SEAFOAM EVERY SO OFTEN SINCE 2014. THE TRUCK IS 6 YEARS OLD. I'VE BEEN READING ABOUT HOW OTHERS HAVE BEEN HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL PUMP RELAY GOING BAD ON THE SAME YEAR MODEL VEHICLE AND OTHER MAKE/MODELS BY DODGE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD AND STRUGGLED TO ACCELERATE SMOOTHLY WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. FIRKINS CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM IN BRADENTON, FLORIDA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V038000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 57,200.
MY TRUCK IS A 2011 WITH ONLY 63 THOUSAND MILES ON IT. THE TRUCK WOULD CRANK BUT NOT START RIGHT AWAY WHEN COLD. AT FIRST IT WOULD RUN FINE ONCE WARM BUT EVENTUALLY IT STARTED STALLING WHEN WARM. I THOUGHT IT WAS EITHER THE FUEL PUMP OR THE TPIM WHICH I FOUND OUT ABOUT ONLINE AS MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. I ASKED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED IT'S DEFINITELY THE FUEL PUMP. I WENT TO A LOCAL SHOP TO HAVE THEM TEST IT AND SURPRISE, SURPRISES IT WAS THE TPIM. WELL IT'S A THOUSAND DOLLAR PART AND ANOTHER $500 TO PROGRAM THE NEW ONE. THE ISSUE IS WITH A RELY THE CHRYSLER PUT IN THE UNIT THE IS PART OF THE MOTHER BOARD. SO INSTEAD OF REPLACING ONE RELAY THAT ENTIRE UNIT HAS TO BE REPLACED. YES A $1500 JOB FOR A 5 CENT RELAY THAT DODGE DECIDED TO NOT MAKE STPERATE FROM THE TPIM MOTHER BOARD. ONE OTHER THING, I ASKED THE DEALERSHIP IF TH TOIM COULD BE THE ISSUE AND THEY SAID WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEM BUT NEVER FOR YOU YEAR VEHICLE. THAT IS WHY THEY WERE SO SURE IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP. ONLINE THEY HAVE AN AFTER MARKET KIT THAT YOU CAN BUY IF YOU HAVE SOME ELECTRICAL SKILLS SO YOU CAN BYPASS THE RELAY IN THE TPIM. IT'S SUCH A PROBLEM THAT A COMPANY IS MAKING MONEY BY PRODUCING AN AFTER MARKET ITEM TO FIX THE ISSUE. KNOWING THIS I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL. ESPECIALLY BEING IT'S SO EXPENSIVE TO FIX PROPERLY.
WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE FROM JUST MAKING A TURN AND ACCELERATING TO THE ROAD WAY SPEED OF 30 MPH, THE STAINLESS STEEL STRAP THAT SECURES THE FUEL TANK TO THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE SUFFERED A FAILURE. THIS FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY CORROSION OF THE FRAME CHASSIS AND THE STRAP SEPARATING. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE 32 GALLON FUEL TANK TO LOWER TOWARD THE ROAD WAY AND THE REMAINING STRAP TO DRAG ALONG THE STREET PAVEMENT . THIS FAILURE CREATED A RISK OF FIRE/ AND SPARKS FROM THE DRAGGING METAL.
THE TIPM FAILED ON THE RAM 1500 2011. THIS PART SHOULD BE RECALLED AND CORRECTED ON ALL RAM MODELS. THE FAILURE CAUSED 1) THE TRUCK TO LUNGE FORWARD AND HIT MY HOUSE, 2) THE TRUCK TO NOT START WHICH CAUSED THE BATTERY TO BE REPLACE, THE FUEL PUMP TO BE REPLACED, AND FINALLY THE TIPM TO BE REPLACED.
TIPM REPLACEMENT WITH ONLY 53,700 MILES ON THE TRUCK. THE TIPM CAN PREVENT AIRBAGS FROM DEPLOYING AND MAKES THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY UNSAFE. THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START WITHOUT REPLACING THE MODULE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS FOR MANY DODGE VEHICLES, INCLUDING DURANGO, TOWN AND COUNTRY ETC.
GAS FUEL TANK FELL OFF DUE TO FRAME RUST AND STRAP PULLING THROUGH RUSTED FRAME...WAS DRIVING ON FREEWAY AND HEARD SCRAPING NOISE FROM UNDER THE TRUCK, WHEN I STOPPED TO INVESTIGATE NOISE I FOUND THE TANK STRAP HANGING AND THE NOISE WAS CAUSED BY THE STRAP RUBBING AGAINST THE DRIVESHAFT. TRUCK MAKES LOUD RUMBLING SOUNDS ON BOTTOM. THERE IS A MAJOR ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH THE TRUCK THAT DRAINS BATTERY RESULTING IN THE TRUCK NOT STARTING. STRANDED MANY PLACES BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE
ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING, FUEL PUMP REMAINS ON AFTER KEY REMOVAL, WILL NOT START EASILY. FUEL PUMP RELAY FAILURE IN TIPM. ENGINE STOPPING HAS OCCURRED WHILE TURNING ONTO INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, WHILE DRIVING DOWN A STATE HIGHWAY AND IN A PARKING LOT. IT HAPPENS AT RANDOM TIMES.
THE TRUCK TURNING OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. DUE TO THE IGNITION SWITCH. LIGHTS AND EVERYTHING SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD DURING NIGHT OR DAY. SMALL BUMPS IN THE ROAD CAUSE A SHORT. MY TRUCK ISN'T THE ONLY ONE THAT DOES IT I SPOKE TO OTHER DODGE OWNERS THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM
DRIVING ON INTERSTATE TODAY, THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE LIGHT BEEPED ONCE AND THE ENGINE DIED. LUCKILY WE COASTED TO THE SIDE, THE DOORS WOULD NOT LOCK, WINDOWS WOULD NOT ROLL DOWN. STARTED WOULD ENGAGE. SOUNDS LIKE TIPM TROUBLE. SPENTS $200 BEING TOWED HOME 75 MILES
