4 MANIFOLD EXHAUST BOLTS BROKE OFF. WHEN STARTING VEHICLE YOU COULD SMELL EXHAUST FUMES INSIDE OF THE CAB. THIS HAS TO BE A SAFETY PROBLEM AND DESERVES A RECALL. IF YOU GOOGLE RAM 1500 WITH THE 5.7L HEMI ENGINE AND YOU WILL SEE THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE POWER STEERING CEASED WITH THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE BECAME DIFFICULT TO STEER. AFTER APPROXIMATELY ONE MINUTE, THE POWER STEERING RETURNED TO NORMAL FUNCTIONALITY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS RECENTLY TAKEN TO CROWN DODGE OF FAYETTEVILLE (436 N. MCPHERSON CHURCH RD, FAYETTEVILLE, NC 28303, (910) 672-6765) AND RECEIVED A MULTIPOINT INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
AT A STOP LIGHT ON A 2 LANE HIGHWAY, THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL AND ABOUT 900 FEET LATER I LOST COMPULSION. I QUICKLY GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY JUST IN TIME BEFORE THE TRUCK STOPPED ROLLING, IT JUST DIED.
2014 DODGE RAM LARAMIE LONGHORN, JUST BOUGHT AND MY SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHTS ARE FLASHING 9N AND OFF. THEY SAY ITS THE HARNESS IN THE DRIVERS SEAT. WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE IT FLASHES AND AND OFF, AND WHILE DRIVING ITS FLASHING ON AND OFF. I FEEL VERY UNSAFE DRIVING MY OWN CAR.
STEERING SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING WITHOUT WARNING. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS OR PROBLEMS. I WAS LUCKILY JUST LEAVING WORK AND ONLY GOING ABOUT 10 MPH.
AIR SUSPENSION FAILS EVERY FEW MONTHS LEAVING THE TRUCK UNDRIVEABLE. NORMAL ROADS CAN LIFT THE REAR TIRES OFF THE GROUND AND CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL. PARTS ARE EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE AND DEALERSHIPS ARE NOT WELL TRAINED TO FIX THEM.

VEHICLE HAS BEEN UNDER MULTIPLE RECALL REPAIRS RECENTLY AND WAS WORKING PROPERLY WHEN IT WAS LAST IN OUR POSSESSION. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL DEALER FOR ANOTHER RECALL. WHEN THEY WERE DOING THEIR ROAD TEST, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WOULD NOT RESTART. THEY ARE NOW TELLING US THERE IS A NEED FOR A NEW MOTOR ($13,000 - $14,000). WHEN I WAS DISCUSSING THE ISSUE WITH THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP, THEY INFORMED ME THAT RECALL W58 HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN APPLIED TO SIMILAR RAM 1500S AND WOULD HAVE ADDRESSED THE EXACT ISSUE THAT WAS HAPPENING WITH MY VEHICLE. I AM REQUESTING REVIEW TO HAVE THE SAME RECALL ADDED TO VEHICLES THAT ARE SIMILAR TO MINE.

WHEN I WAS DISCUSSING THE ISSUE WITH THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP, THEY INFORMED ME THAT RECALL W58 HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN APPLIED TO SIMILAR RAM 1500S AND WOULD HAVE ADDRESSED THE EXACT ISSUE THAT WAS HAPPENING WITH MY VEHICLE. I AM REQUESTING REVIEW TO HAVE THE SAME RECALL ADDED TO VEHICLES THAT ARE SIMILAR TO MINE.
The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. The contact stated while coming out of a full stop, the vehicle would stall. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed but not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but informed the contact they were unable to assist. The failure mileage was approximately 94,000.
INTERMITTENT FAILING FUEL LEVEL SENSOR FOR VEHICLE AT LOW MILEAGE
MY TRUCK HAS BEEN CUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD. TOOK IT TO LANDMARK DODGE IN MORROW, GA. THEY DID TWO REPAIRS TO FIX THE PROBLEM, AND CHARGE ME ON THE 8/31/20 FIRST REPAIR $968.81. IT CUT OFF AT A COUPLE MILES FROM THE SHOP. SECOND REPAIRS ON THE 9/11/20. PICK IT UP ON THE 9/14/20. THOSE REPAIR COST ME $1830.20. AGAIN IT CUT OFF A COUPLE MILES DOWN THE ROAD WHILE DRIVING. I HAD COMPLAIN BEFORE ABOUT THE FAULTY TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE. DODGE HAD WARRANTY THE PART. BUT SINCE THEN I HAVE REPLACE IT FOUR OR FIVE TIMES. I PAID FOR THE REPAIRS THAT SUPPOSED TO FIX IT. BUT THEY ARE NOT LISTENING TO ME. I PULL A TRAILER ON THE HIGHWAY, AND IF THE TRUCK CUT OFF, IT WILL PUT ME AT RISK AND WHO EVER DRIVING AROUND ME. THE DEALERSHIP HAD MY TRUCK FROM 8/20/20 TO 9/14/20 WITH SAME PROBLEM THAT I BROUGHT IT IN FOR. NOW I FILL LIKE THE TRUCK IS A LEMON.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER LITHIA GRANTS PASS AUTO CENTER (1421 NE 6TH ST, GRANTS PASS, OR 97526) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE COMPRESSOR ON THE AIR RIDE SUSPENSION SYSTEM FAILS UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BE OUT OF LEVEL WHILE DRIVING, MAKING THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD. THIS ISSUE CAN HAPPEN AT VARIOUS TIMES. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE WHEN ENTERING AND EXITING THE HIGHWAY. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE ENTERS WHAT IS CALLED "AERO MODE." THE "AERO MODE" LOWERS THE BODY OF THE TRUCK TO ACHIEVE BETTER AERODYNAMICS AND FUEL ECONOMY. AFTER SLOWING FROM HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE RETURNS TO NORMAL RIDE HEIGHT. WITH THE COMPRESSOR FAILURE, THE VEHICLE IS UNABLE TO RETURN TO NORMAL RIDE HEIGHT.
FCA PUT OUT A NOTICE OF RECALL IN AUGUST OF 2020 (W58). IT IS NOW THE 14TH OF JANUARY AND STILL NO RESOLUTION. THE RAM DEALER SAYS WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL FCA DETERMINES A RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. THE NHTSA WEBSITE SAYS THE SAME THING - NOT YET RESOLVED. THE RECALL SAYS THE DEFECT CAN CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO STALL AND CRASH, YET I AM STILL WAITING FOR A FIX 5 MONTHS SINCE THE RECALL WAS SENT OUT. I AM PUTTING MY FAMILY IN JEOPARDY EVERY DAY WHILE WAITING. THIS SHOULD NOT BE AN ACCEPTABLE TO THE NHTSA. JOSEPH THOMAS
POWER STEERING WENT OUT. CAN NOT TURN STEERING WHEEL AT ALL. WAS NOT DRIVING WHEN IT FAILED, WAS TRYING TO LEAVE HOME FROM THE DRIVEWAY.
Exhaust manifold leak due to both rear studs breaking on each side of the engine. This is my 3rd dodge ram with the 5.7 liter engine that has had this problem. The other vehicle years were a 2003 Ram 2500 and a 2013 Ram 1500. With as many complaints about this problem, I am surprised there hasn't been a fix and a recall. So far, I am 3 trucks each with the same issue. I would think that two exhaust manifolds leaking in the engine compartment would pose as a safety issue by breathing the fumes sucked into the cab. The dealer repaired this issue thanks to an extended warranty.
WHEN TURNING OR COMING TO A STOP, THE ELECTRONIC SHIFTER COMES OUT OF GEAR. THE DISPLAY ON THE DASH TELLS ME TO "SHIFT TO P TO START". THERE ARE TIMES WHERE I AM ABLE TO SHIFT TO P THEN RIGHT BACK TO D BUT OTHER TIMES WHEN I PUT IT TO P, I HAVE TO TURN OFF THE TRUCK THEN TURN IT BACK ON IN ORDER TO GO BACK TO D. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME WHEN DRIVING ON THE CITY STREETS MOSTLY BUT I HAVE HAD IT HAPPEN WHEN I WAS GETTING READY TO MERGE ONTO THE FREEWAY. I BELIEVE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE TRANSMISSION OR WITH THE ELECTRONIC SHIFTER.

SHEETS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (250 AUTO PLAZA DR, BECKLEY, WV 25801, (304) 252-4555) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULE WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 75,000.
RAM DASH LIGHT PROBLEMS I HAVE A 2014 DODGE RAM 1500 I AM CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE DASH LIGHTS WON'T TURN OFF. ON THE MORNING THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. I JUMPED . ALL OTHER LIGHTS ARE OFF (HEADLIGHTS/INTERIOR/ETC) EXCEPT THE DASH AND THE LIGHT THAT SHOWS IT'S IN PARK AND DISCONNECTED THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL SO I DON'T DRAIN THE BATTERY.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD GOING 50MPH THE POWER STEERING FAILURE LIGHT CAME ON THE DASH SCREEN AND THE POWER STEERING COMPLETELY FAILED. I WAS UNABLE TO STEER THE TRUCK AND WAS VERY CLOSE TO HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE. I TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND THEN BACK ON THE POWER STEERING WAS WORKING AGAIN. I CONTINUE TO DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD AND ONCE AGAIN AT A SPEED OF FIFTY MILES PER HOUR THE STEERING FAILED COMPLETELY AND AGAIN I ALMOST WENT DOWN INTO A DITCH. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL DIFFERENT TIMES DURING SEVERAL DIFFERENT ACTIONS. IT'S HAPPENED WHILE TURNING WHILE GOING STRAIGHT WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY AND WHILE ON CITY STREETS WHILE STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THE ENTIRE SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $2,400. MY TRUCK ONLY HAS 50,000 MILES ON IT AND SHOULD NOT BE HAVING ANY KIND OF AN ISSUE LIKE THIS AT ALL. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND I AM ACTUALLY TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED ON THE 2014 AS IT IS ON THE 2015 AND 16 RAMS. THERE ARE POSTINGS ALL OVER THE INTERNET OF PEOPLE DEALING WITH THE EXACT SAME THING YET DODGE HAS REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. PLEASE HELP MAKE MY VEHICLE SAFE FOR ME MY PASSENGERS AND OTHER PEOPLE ON THE ROAD.
MY DOOR LOCKS SOMETIMES WORK & SOMETIMES DO NOT. THIS OCCURS EITHER BY THE FOB OR THE PHYSICAL DOOR LOCK. IT SOMETIMES AFFECTS 1 DOOR & OTHER TIMES MULTIPLE DOORS BUT NEVER THE TAILGATE. I'VE READ THROUGH MULTIPLE FORUMS, THIS IS CAUSED BY THE BODY CONTROL MODULE.
WHEN I STOPPED THE TRUCK, I ACCIDENTALLY TURNED OFF THE KEY BEFORE PUTTING THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK. I SAW SMOKE COME FROM UNDER THE DASHBOARD AND SMELLED ELECTRICAL WIRES BURNING. THE TRANSMISSION DID GO INTO PARK. AFTER THAT THE TRUCK STARTED FINE, THE ONLY NOTICEABLE THING IS THE CRUISE CONTROL NO LONGER WORKS. FORTUNATELY NO ACTUAL VEHICLE FIRE RESULTED FROM THE INCIDENT. I AM TAKING THE TRUCK IN FOR SERVICE, THE DEALER HAD NEVER HEARD OF THE ISSUE, BUT WILL LOOK INTO IT.
RADIATOR CRACKED, 6 SPARK PLUGS AND 2 IGNITION COILS REPLACED. 1 WEEK LATER, STARTER FAILED. 1 DAY LATER ENGINE OVER HEATING, REPLACED RADIATOR COOLING FAN; NEXT DAY, STARTER FAILED AGAIN, AND ENGINE DECLARED COMPLETELY RUINED OR BAD. ENTIRE ENGINE BEING REPLACED WITH REBUILT AFTER 131,300 MILES AND 10 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP. FULLY MAINTAINED, BUT FAILURE UNEXPECTED AND WITHOUT WARNINGS.
MY AIR CONDITIONING STOPPED WORKING, I TOOK IT TO A DEALER AND THEY FIXED A VALVE AND HOSE LEAK. AC STILL DIDN'T WORK. THEY REPLACED THE EVAPORATOR. ON THE WAY HOME FROM THAT, I SAW MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND ANTI SKID LIGHT WERE ON. THE DEALER FIXED THAT, THE NEXT DAY, I DISCOVERED MY PANEL DISPLAY (FOR RADIO AND REAR CAMERA VIEW) WAS BLANK, NOT WORKING. I TOOK THE TRUCK BACK IN AND WAS TOLD BY SERVICE REP IT MIGHT BE $800 FIX OR HE'D TRIED TO GET WARRANTY WHICH EXPIRED TO COVER IT FOR $50.I HAVE CALLED THE SERVICE DEPT AT DEALER TWICE WITHOUT A RETURN CALL SINCE THEN. I HAVE CHECKED ON-LINE AND FOUND SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. THIS OCCURRED WHEN DEALER WAS WORKING ON IT, TRUCK WAS STATIONARY AND ONLY TRAVELED TO AND FROM DEALER FROM/TO HOME.
NOT EVEN 80,000 ON MY TRUCK AND MY TRUCK HAS CAMSHAFT PROBLEMS IT'S IN THE SHOP NOW

THE CONTACT SPOKE TO MIKE PERRY MOTOR COMPANY (3828 SOUTH ST, NACOGDOCHES, TX 75964) WHERE HE WAS INFORMED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
ON JULY 11,2020,, I STARTED MY 2014 RAM 1500 LARAMIE,ABOUT NOON TIME AND STEERING WHEEL STRAIGHT; I WAS GREETED BY A WARNING LIGHT ON MY DASH STATING 'ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING SERVICE'. THERE WAS NO ISSUE PRIOR TO THIS AT ANY TIME. ABSOLUTELY NO ABILITY TO STEER VEHICLE. FORTUNATELY, I WAS NOT DRIVING WHEN THIS OCCURRED. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN FOR MY FAMILY AND MYSELF . I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THE RECALL FOR THE 2015-2016 RAM DOES NOT INCLUDE 2014. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY AN ISSUE WITH EARLIER YEAR MODELS. THE ESTIMATE TO REPAIR THIS MALFUNCTION WAS $2400 ! DODGE NEEDS TO STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS COMPLAINTS! NO WAY CAN A RECALLED PART ON NEWER MODELS NOT BE ISSUED FOR ALL MODELS CONTAINING THE EQUIPMENT?!? IT'S UNBELIEVABLE THAT SOMEONE HAS TO LOSE THEIR LIFE BEFORE SOMETHING IS CORRECTED!
I WAS DRIVING MY TRUCK ON HIGHWAY WITH MY 12 AND 3 YR OLD DAUGHTERS. WHEN SUDDENLY THE CAR STOPPED ACCELERATING. I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TURNED THE TRUCK OFF THEN RESTARTED THE TRUCK CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH A FUEL SENSOR MODULE WARNING. THIS HAPPENED. BEFORE WHEN THE TRUCK HAD ABOUT 27000 MILES AND IT WAS FIXED WHILE IN WARRANTY. HAD TO REPLACE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL SENSOR MODULE THE TRUCK NOW HAS 69971 MILES. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT IF THESE THINGS KEEP HAPPENING
CHECK ELECTRONIC BRAKING SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON AND CRUISE AND EVERYTHING GOES OUT. HAD BRAKES DONE, IT ALSO SAYS TOWING BRAKE. ON INTERSTATE FOR ABOUT 30 MINS AND IT DINGS, THE LIGHT COMES ON AND CRUISE STOPS

SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED, THE CONTACT STATED THAT AT VEHICLE START-UP THE SERVICE PASSENGER AIR BAG MESSAGE DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE HE WAS ASSURED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.*DT*JB
CONSTANT ISSUE WITH THE FUEL SENSOR FAIL, I'VE HAD 4 FUEL PUMPS PUT ON THE TRUCK IN THE SIX YEARS I'VE HAD IT. AT ONE POINT THE DEALER HAD MY TRUCK FOR A MONTH TRYING TO FIX. I JUST CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP LAST WEEK, PICKED IT UP FRIDAY AND THE ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON TODAY. IT'S A DEFECT WITH THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY THAT CHRYSLER REFUSES TO RECALL. THE ENGINE LIGHT HAS COME ON WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND IDLE AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. I'M NOT THE ONLY OWNER WITH ISSUE IT'S COUNTLESS OTHERS, THAT'S HOW I FOUND MY WAY TO MAKE A COMPLAINT.
THE FUEL SENSOR GAUGE IS DEFECTIVE. I HAVE 54,000 MILES ON THE TRUCK AND IT'S ONLY 6 YEARS OLD. THE GAS HAND WON'T WORK EITHER.
RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE VB1 TO REPLACE EGR COOLER THAT MAY CAUSE ENGINE FIRE. THE RECALL SAYS THAT PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I CONTACTED 2 DEALER AND HAD CHAT WITH FCA DIRECTLY. ALL OF THEM TOLD ME THAT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. NEITHER DEALER WOULD GIVE ME AN APPOINTMENT DATE AND SAID THAT THERE WERE MANY AHEAD OF ME. FCA SAID THAT PARTS ARE ALLOCATED AT 1 SET OF PARTS PER DEALER PER WEEK. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FCA STATING THAT A FAULTY EGR COOLER CAN CAUSE FIRES AND IS A SAFETY CONCERN. THE RECALL ALSO STATES THAT PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I HAVE CONTACTED SEVERAL RAM DEALERS AND THEY ALL TELL ME THAT PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER AND THAT EACH DEALER ONLY GETS ONE SET OF PARTS PER WEEK. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT IT MAY BE AS LONG AS 6-8 MONTHS BEFORE MY TRUCK CAN BE ADDRESSED. MINE IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. AS A MEMBER OF A RAM FORUM OF 17K MEMBERS, THIS IS AN FREQUENT COMPLAINT. SINCE RAM KNOWS THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT COULD CAUSE A FIRE, THEY SHOULD BE EITHER REPAIRING THE VEHICLES OR PROVIDING LOANER TRANSPORTATION UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE REPAIR CAN BE MADE.
I HAD MY END OR ENGINE OIL CHANGED AT A RAM DEALERSHIP IN NORTHFIELD MINNESOTA AT NORTHFIELD AUTOMOTIVE GROUP AND 132 MILES AFTER THE OIL WAS CHANGED BY THE DEALERSHIP MY ENGINE BLEW IT THROUGH A ROD THROUGH THE BLOCK

CHECK VEHICLE TO LOCAL DEALER WAS TOLD OF NO RECALLS FOR THIS YEAR OF VEHICLE BUT THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE 2015 RAM 1500 WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND SAME EXACT PART. COST TO REPAIR SOMEWHERE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF $2,400. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SUNSET DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM FIAT (7745 S TAMIAMI TRAIL, SARASOTA, FL 34231, (941) 922-2400) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONTACT OF A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER NUMBER 5. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL OR WARRANTY. A CASE WAS FILED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128,000. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED.

AFTER ONLY 20-30 MILES THE GAUGE DROPS TO EMPTY AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE TANK UNTIL I'M STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. WHILE DRIVING I HAD A SUDDEN FAILURE OF THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT ALONG WITH A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CAUSED THE FUEL GAUGE TO DROP TO EMPTY IMMEDIATELY AND THE DTE ESTIMATE TO SHOW LOW FUEL. WHEN NEW UNIT WAS PICKED UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP I WAS ADVISED THAT HE HAD BEEN SELLING A LARGE AMOUNT OF THE SPECIFIC PART AND TO HOLD ONTO MY RECEIPT SINCE IT HAD A 2 YEAR WARRANTY.
FUEL PUMP SENSOR IS NO LONGER WORKING. TRUCK HAS 95K MILES ON IT AND HASN'T BEEN WORKING FOR THE PAST 500 MILES OR SO. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS COME ON AND ALSO MY FUEL GAUGE COMES ON AND OFF CONSTANTLY. I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM GROCERY STORE AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. CHECKED AT LOCAL AUTO STORE AND SAID I HAD A FUEL PUMP THAT HAD GONE BAD.*DT*JB

IN LESS THAN FIVE YEARS IS OF NEED TO INVESTIGATE AS REPAIRING IS ONLY DEALER PART AND COST IS. COST PROHIBITED AS MOST SAFETY FEATURES SHOULD HAVE A TEN YEAR LIFETIME AT LEAST.A REFRIGERATOR DOES AND IT RUNS 24/7. *TR

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 19v757000 (engine and engine cooling) and 20v475000 (engine and engine cooling) however, the part to do the recall was unavailable. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle caught fire without warning. There were no reported injuries. The contact was able to pull off the road and extinguish the fire with sand. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who stated the parts were not available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified but declined the repairs. THE FUEL GAUGE STOPPED WORKING AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AT 49K MILES ON MY 2014 RAM TRUCK. AFTER DOING RESEARCH ONLINE, IT'S A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. MOST COMMENTS SAY AROUND 35K TO 60K MILES ON RAM TRUCKS, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND THE FUEL GAUGE DROPS TO ZERO. AT MOST MECHANIC SHOPS, THE PRICE IS AROUND $800 FOR THE REPAIR. THE REPAIR CONSISTS OF TWO OPTIONS.... 1) DROP THE FUEL TANK FROM UNDER THE TRUCK AND REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP W/FUEL SENSOR. 2) UNBOLT THE BED AND BACK BUMPER IN ORDER TO RAISE THE BED COMPLETELY AND REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP W/FUEL SENSOR. THIS IS A MINOR ISSUE AND HAPPENING ALL OF THE TIME. IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE AND THIS MAY HAVE TO ME DONE EVERY 50K MILES OR SO. *TR
