The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would drive rough and the engine temperature was elevated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the electronic gas recovery module had malfunctioned, and the engine intake manifold was cracked. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 97,000.
CRUISE CONTROL WILL NOT TURN ON. UNABLE TO ACCESS HORN WILL NOT BLOW, INFORMATION BOARD UNABLE ACCESS, BUTTONS ON STEERING WHEEL FAILURE. DOES RECALL R36
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT A SPEED OF 70 MPH WHEN MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND THE "POWER STEERING FAILURE" NOTIFICATION APPEARED ON MY DASH. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED A RAM DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME I SHOULD HAVE IT TOWED DO TO IT BEING UNSAFE TO DRIVE. AFTER GETTING IT TO THE DEALER, THEY TOLD ME MY POWER STEERING ASSEMBLY ($2400) NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THERE ISN'T A RECALL FOR MY TRUCK. I CONTACTED MY WARRANTY COMPANY AND THEY SAID IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED DUE TO IT BEING A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN ON THE ISSUE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. AN UNKNOWN DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER DECLINED TO PROVIDE A DATE FOR WHEN PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

DELSEA DR, VINELAND, NJ 08360) TO BE DIAGNOSED WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE RACK AND PINION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT ADDED EFFORT WAS NEEDED TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. VICTORY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (64 GREENSBURG ST, DELMONT, PA 15626) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF A TSB REGARDING THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SUBJECTED TO A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SISK AUTO MALL (4599 FORT CAMPBELL BLVD, HOPKINSVILLE, KY 42240), WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.
MY TRUCK MAKES CHIRPING SOUNDS LIKE A BIRD WHEN IDLING. *TR
The dealership says it is a clock spring in the steering wheel that causes my left blinker to stay on. And also shows a warning light to stay on. I am also wondering if a dealership can show all recalls are up to date without the repairs being done. Thanks in advance.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL SENSOR LOCATED INSIDE THE FUEL TANK WAS DEFECTIVE AND THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED TO FIX THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000.

PURCHASED THIS 2014 DODGE RAM 1500 DOUBLE CAB FROM FREMONT TOYOTA IN 11/2019. OWN 2/24/2020 I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO HAVE A FLAT FIXED AT FIRESTORN TIRE STORE A SALES REPRESENTATIVE WENT OUT TO INSPECT THE TIRE AND SAID IT SHOWED SIGNS OF DRY ROTTEN. AND LOOK AT THE REST OF TIRES AND SAID THEY WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. THEN I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND SPOKE WITH A SALES MANAGER, HE SAID HE WOULD PASS THE MESSAGE TO APPROPRIATE PERSON. THE RECEPTIONIST TOOK MY NUMBER A GAVE ME THE GENERAL MANAGER NUMBER, WHO I CALLED AND HE SAID UNFORTUNATELY A 30 DAY WARRANTY OWN USED VEHICLE AFTER I EXPLAINED WHAT WAS GOING, TELLING HIM, I NEVER HAD TO REPLACE TIRES OWN PREVIOUS CARD WITH IN 2 1/2 MONTHS. NO RESPONSE. HIS NAME IS [XXX], PHONE NUMBER [XXX]. I WAS ALSO TOLD BY A SHOP MANAGER THAT I SHOULD HAVE INSPECTED THE VEHICLE MY SELF. I TOLD HIM THATS NOT MY JOB. HE WAS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I DON'T HAVE 800.00 TO 900 DOLLARS. AND I AM A DISABLED VETERAN AND NEED TO GO TO HOSPITAL OWN A MONTHLY BASE TO HAVE MY BLOOD CHECKED BECAUSE I AM OWN WARFARIN A BLOOD THINNER MEDICATION. WITH TIRES THAT ARE DETERIORATING I CAN'T DO THAT. ARE THEY ALLOWED TO SALE A VEHICLE WITH 6 YEAR OLD TIRES OWN IT. I HAD JUST STARTED DRIVING WHEN I HIT THE BUTTON TO RAISE MY SUSPENSION, EVERYTHING SEEMED TO BE WORKING AS NORMAL BUT THE TRUCK NEVER RAISED AND THE INDICATOR LIGHT FLASHED RAISING BUT NEVER STOPPED. AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 5 MILES I STOPPED THE TRUCK TURNED IT OFF AND RESTARTED. THE INDICATOR STOPPED FLASHING,REMAINING IN OFF-ROAD 1, BUT THE FRONT WAS LOWER THAN THE REAR. I TRIED ADJUSTING AGAIN BUT NOTHING WORKED. GOT BACK ON THE ROAD AND GOT UP TO HIGHWAY SPEEDS TO SEE IF IT WOULD AUTO ADJUST BUT IT REMAINED IN OFF-ROAD 1, EVEN AT 70MPH. IT HAD BEEN BELOW FREEZING OVERNIGHT, BUT THE TEMP HAD RAISED ABOVE 45 WHEN THIS OCCURRED. A BIT OF A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE TRUCK DOESN'T HANDLE RIGHT, WHEN THE FRONT IS LOWERED TO EXIT LEVEL AND THE REAR IS IN OFF-ROAD 2.
I STARTED HEARING A KNOCKING SOUND FROM THE ENGINE. I TOOK IT IN TO THE SHOP AND FOUND THAT THERE WERE SEVERAL OTHER RECALL ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE. CONSIDERING I USED MY VEHICLE FOR TYPICAL DRIVING, AND KEEP IT MAINTAINED WITH REGULARLY SCHEDULED SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGES, TIRES ROTATIONS AND FLUID REFILLS THAT IT SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD ANY OF THE CURRENT ISSUES WRONG WITH IT. THE REP TRIED TO PROCLAIM THAT THE KNOCKING SOUND CAME FROM NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE ENGINE. I STRONGLY DISAGREED WITH HIM, THE $5500 ESTIMATED REPAIR COST AND DECIDED TO VOICE MY CONCERNS WITH COMING ON HERE TO REPORT IT. THE MOST ALARMING THING IS THAT THEY TRIED TO PRESSURE ME INTO STARTING THE REPAIR OF THE VEHICLE WHILE STATING THAT THEY NEEDED TO GET INTO THE ENGINE FIRST BEFORE THEY COULD DETERMINE IF THAT WAS ALL WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. I'LL NEVER BUY A DODGE AGAIN AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE.
DURING COLD WEATHER (SUB 32F) AIR SUSPENSION WILL FAIL, CAUSING TRUCK TO SIT ON BUMP STOPS (SUSPENSION BOTTOMS OUT ON ONE OR MORE CORNERS, SOMETIMES ALL 4 CORNERS). HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING VERY ROUGH/BUMPY RIDE AND CAUSES POOR HANDLING IF IT HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING, AT VARIOUS SPEEDS RANGING FROM SUB 25MPH TO 70+MPH. CAN ALSO FAIL IF PARKED. ATTACHED IMAGE IS OF FRONT DRIVER TIRE BOTTOMED OUT SITTING IN GARAGE.
FUEL SENSOR FAILURE AT APPROXIMATELY 62,000 MILES. AT THE TIME OF OCCURRENCE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH AFTER COMPLETION OF A TURN. AFTER RESEARCH IT WAS DISCOVERED TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM IN 2014 DODGE RAM 1500. ON THE DATE OF 2/17/2020 THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FROM WHICH IT WAS BOUGHT AND PROBLEM WAS EXPLAINED, DEALER ADVISED A $600+ CHARGE TO REPAIR SAID DENSOR
FUEL SENSOR HAS AN ERROR AND READS EMPTY WHEN FUEL LEVEL IS LESS THAN 3/4 OF A TANK. THE READING IS CORRECT BETWEEN 3/4 AND FULL BUT ONCE THE LEVEL DROPS BELOW 3/4 IT SAYS FUEL SENSOR FAIL AND THEN READS EMPTY.

THE EGR COOLER VALVE FRACTURED THE HEATH STOPPED OPERATING CONSEQUENCE, RISK OF FIRE, REPAIRS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE HETHER STOPPED WORKING. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER MITCHELL CHRYSLER DODGE RAM, 416 HOPMEADOW ST, SIMSBURY, CT 06070, THEY DETERMINED THAT THE " EGR " COOLER VALVE FRACTURED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED AT 112,00 MILES IN 2017 BY THE SAME DEALER MITCHELL CHRYSLER DODGE RAM, 416 HOPMEADOW ST, SIMSBURY, CT 06070. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 186,000. VIN UNAVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING TO THE AUTO PARTS STORE, TURNED AND STEERING WHEEL GOT REALLY HARD THAT I COULDN'T TURN IT JUMP THE CURB ALMOST HITTING A LIGHT POLE, TOOK THE TRUCK TO A FRIEND THAT HAS A SHOP AND FOUND CODE C221700 ELECTRIC POWER STEERING MODULE INTERNAL PROBLEM
WHILE WAITING AT A STOP LIGHT AND THEN STEPPING ON THE ACCELERATOR THE RAM WENT INTO LIMP MODE AND DID NOT GO PAST 15 MPH. THE RAM DID NOT TURN ON ANY LIGHT TO NOTIFY ME OF AN ISSUE. I HAD TO FORCEFULLY TAKE IT OUT OF LIMP MODE THEREFORE RISKING THE TRANSMISSION TO GET DAMAGED. THERE WAS A BIG TRUCK BEHIND ME MAKING A LEFT WHO THANKFULLY NOTICED THE RAM STOPPED WORKING AND PATIENTLY WAITED FOR ME TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY. I TURNED IT OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND IT STARTED WORKING AGAIN. SEEMS LIKE A RECALL ISSUE ON RAMS AS I HAVE BEEN READING THIS HAS HAPPENED TO HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE.
I WAS DRIVING MY RAM 1500 ECODIESEL TO AND FROM WORK AND NOTICED A KNOCKING SOUND. SCHEDULED A SERVICE APPOINTMENT AND THE DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED MY TRUCK WITH CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. A NEW ENGINE IS REQUIRED WITH A REPAIR BILL OF $12,370. THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE, A LAW SUIT HAS BEEN FILED DUE TO CHRYSLER REFUSING TO COVER REPAIR COST. I FEEL CHRYSLER SOLD ME A LEMON, PLEASE CONDUCT AN INVESTIGATION.

THE FUEL SENSOR FAILED WHICH RECORDED THE FUEL LEVEL AS EMPTY. THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,500.
MY TRUCK HAD A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEAR THAT SAID "FUEL INJECTION LOWER THAN EXPECTED. WHEN I WOULD CRANK IT UP, YOU COULD HEAR THE ENGINE RUNNING HARDER THAN IT SHOULD WITH AN AUDIBLE CONSTANT KNOCK. I MADE A COUPLE STOPS AND IT SHUT OFF ON ME JUST BEFORE THE SECOND STOP. I TRIED CRANKING IT UP AGAIN, AND IT STARTED, BUT TOOK AWHILE TO START. AFTER THAT, I WAS TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD AT APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH WHEN I HEARD A LOUD "BOOM" FROM UNDER THE HOOD. MY TRUCK SHUT DOWN ON ME IN TRAFFIC. LUCKILY, I WAS NOT HIT BY ANY OTHER MOTORISTS AND MADE IT TO AN ADJACENT PARKING LOT. THEN AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO START IT AGAIN, I FINALLY HAD TO CALL A TOW TRUCK BECAUSE MY TRUCK WAS INOPERABLE. *TR
FUEL SENDING UNIT MALFUNCTIONS CAUSING THE FUEL GAUGE TO GO TO EMPTY AND BACK TO FULL
I HAVE A 2014 DODGE RAM 1500 LARAMIE LIMITED WITH THE AIR SUSPENSION OPTION. I BOUGHT IT 11 MONTHS AGO. IT WAS WINTER WHEN I BOUGHT IT, AND ON THE TEST DRIVE, I ATTEMPTED TO ADJUST THE SUSPENSION LEVEL AND IMMEDIATELY GOT THE WARNING MESSAGE THAT THE AIR SUSPENSION NEEDED TO BE SERVICED. THEY TOOK IT INTO THEIR SERVICE BAY AND REPLACED THE FUSE, WHICH TEMPORARILY RESOLVED THE ISSUE. AS THE WEATHER REMAINED COLD, HOWEVER, I GOT THE SAME MESSAGE AGAIN, SO CONTACTED THE DEALER AND TOOK IT BACK IN. I ENDED UP HAVING TO TAKE IT BACK IN MULTIPLE TIMES, WITH THEM "INSULATING A PART OF THE SYSTEM AND UPDATING THE ECU". AS THE WEATHER WARMED UP THROUGH THE SPRING AND SUMMER, NO ISSUES. FAST FORWARD TO THIS WINTER, ONCE THE WEATHER DROPPED BELOW FREEZING, THE SERVICE AIR SUSPENSION LIGHT CAME BACK ON. I CHECKED ALL FUSES, AND NONE WERE BLOWN, WHICH SEEMS TO BE THE COMMON FAULT THAT CAUSES THIS ERROR MESSAGE. I PULLED THEM AND REPLACED THEM TO TRY TO RESET THE SYSTEM, AND THE SYSTEM TRIED LOWER THE TRUCK, THEN RAISE IT, TO THE POINT WHERE IT FINALLY STOPPED WITH THE FRONT END COMPLETELY LOWERED ON THE BUMP STOPS, AND THE BACK END IN OFF-ROAD 2. THE HEIGHT INDICATOR STATED IT WAS IN OFF-ROAD 2, EVEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, EVEN THOUGH THAT HEIGHT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO BE MAINTAINED AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE SYSTEM ALSO CONTINUES TO TRY TO RAISE AND LOWER ON IT'S OWN, DOING SO FOR UP TO AN HOUR AT A TIME WHILE DRIVING. ALL THAT BEING SAID, THE VEHICLE IS BACK AT THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS, EVEN THOUGH THE FORUMS I'VE FOUND STATE THERE IS CURRENTLY NOT A PERMANENT SOLUTION FROM FCA. THIS APPEARS TO BE A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM IN ANY CLIMATE THAT DROPS BELOW FREEZING AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ONLINE, RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO VEHICLES AND LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE IN SOME INSTANCES. I HOPE NO ONE HAS TO LOSE THEIR LIFE IN ORDER FOR THIS TO DEMAND A RESOLUTION FROM FCA.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (1-10 CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP/RAM, 79200 VARNER ROAD, INDIO, CA 92200), AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE SENSOR ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,000.

ERROR CODE P0463: FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT, THIS MEANS MY FUEL GAUGE IS EXPERIENCING FAILURES AND I CAN NOT ACCURATELY DETERMINE HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE VEHICLE. DOING A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH, THIS APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THE 2014 RAM 1500 5.7L. I'M AT ROUGHLY 68500 MILE ON MY TRUCK SO THE ISSUE IS ALSO OUT OF WARRANTY.
MY TRUCK STARTED LEAKING COOLANT OUT THE REAR OF ENGINE DOWN TRANSMISSION AND ON THE GROUND AND MOTOR WOULDN'T HOLD ANY COOLANT IN IT SO I CALLED FCA CUSTOMER CARE AND THEY TOLD ME VEHICLE IS NOT DRIVEABLE TO GET IT TO RAM DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS IT'S BEEN SITTING THERE 9 DAYS NOW AND I CANT GET ANYBODY FROM DEALER OR CUSTOMER CARE TO GET IT WORKED ON AND DIAGNOSED IT'S UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY PLUS THE ECODIESEL SETTLEMENT EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE FOR ALL PARTS OF POSSIBLE PROBLEM AND THEY WILL NOT LOAN ME A VEHICLE OF ANY KIND AND I'M IN NEED OF MY VEHICLE REPAIRED AND BACK TO BEING ABLE TO DRIVE IT ,I CALL RAM CUSTOMER CARE EVERYDAY AND KEEP GETTING TOLD NOTHING ABOUT IT GETTING REPAIRED OR PROBLEM LOCATED
MY VEHICLE LOST SIGNAL FROM THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR IN THE GAS TANK. THE SENSOR NOW ONLY WORKS WHEN THE TANK IS BETWEEN FULL AND 3/4 FULL. IT IS NOW UNSAFE TO DRIVE AS YOU DON'T KNOW HOW FAR YOU CAN TRAVEL BEFORE RUNNING OUT OF FUEL. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE. PEOPLE COULD BECOME STRANDED IN A DESOLATE AREA OR UNDER ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS AND NOT BE ABLE TO GET HELP.
TRAILER BRAKE WARNING CAME ON AND IT AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF MY CRUISE CONTROL. I JUST HAD THE BRAKES REDONE A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE, AND IT USUALLY AFTER A RECALL FOR CODE UPDATING IS DONE. I WAS ON A 4 LANE HIGHWAY DOING 70MPH WHEN THIS HAPPENED.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HYDRAULIC LIFTERS FAILED TO OPERATE AS INTENDED WHICH CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE CAMSHAFT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PROGNOSIS WAS NOT PROVIDED, HOWEVER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,400. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE VEHICLE LISTED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS HAS COMPLETELY SHUT-OFF AS MY SPEED IS REDUCED WHILE MAKING A TURN OR COMING TO A STOP AT SPEEDS BELOW 15. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR CODES HAVE BEEN RECOVERED TO SHOW IF SOMETHING IS MALFUNCTIONING OR IS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS QUIT WORKING WITHOUT WARNING. THE FUSE DID NOT BLOW AND THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR TEST GOOD. THE INTERMITTENT WIPERS WERE WORKING WITHOUT ANY INTERRUPTION OR LAG UP UNTIL THE TIME THEY JUST STOPPED DURING A HARD RAIN.
MY STEERING ON MY TRUCK KEEPS FAILING , I'VE ALMOST HAD 5 ACCIDENTS. I REPLACED THE EPS AND STILL DOING IT , THERE ARE RECALLS ON 2015 AND 2016 RAM BUT NOT MY 2014 WHICH IS DOING THE SAME THING
DRIVERS SIDE REAR AIRBAG GOES FLAT INTERMITTENTLY. THIS MAY HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING OR WHILE PARKED AND NOT RUNNING. THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT FIND ANY LEAKS OR PROBLEMS. WHEN FLAT, EVEN IF COMPRESSOR IS RUNNING , IT WON'T REFILL. IT MAY STAY FLAT FOR MINUTES OR DAYS, AND THROUGH MANY DRIVING CYCLES THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT FILLS AND OPERATES NORMAL. NORMAL OPERATION MAY LAST FROM A FEW HOURS TO WEEKS. THEN IT DOES IT AGAIN. DEALERSHIP CLAIMS IT IS THE AIRPUMP OVERHEATING BUT THIS DOESN'T MAKE SENSE AS ONLY ONE SHOCK GOES FLAT AND DOESN'T RESPOND WHEN THE PUMP IS RUNNING. MANY PEOPLE REPORT THIS SAME PROBLEM ON THIS YEAR DODGE RAM TRUCK AND HAVE SAID REPLACING THE COMPRESSOR AND VALVE BODY DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. ONE PERSON REPORTED THAT THEY HAD THE CONTROL MODULE RE FLASHED AND IT FIXED THE ISSUE.

MY TRUCK VIBRATES AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 55 -68 MPH. I NO LONGER HAVE 4 WHEEL DRIVE AND WAS TOLD IT IS MY RIGHT FRONT DIFFERENTIAL. THEY NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE FRONT END COSTING ME CLOSE TO $3,000. I HAVE SEEN THIS AS AN ISSUE ON RAM AND DODGE FORUMS. IT SEEMS LIKE IF THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE THERE SHOULD BE SOME SORT OF RECALL. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A FEW YEARS BUT THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE DIED LAST YEAR BUT DUE TO COVID I DID NOT GET IT FIXED BECAUSE I WAS WORKING FROM HOME. I AM NOW BACK TO WORK AND NEED TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. UNFORTUNATELY THE PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER AND AT LEAST A MONTH AWAY. I HAVE 121,000 MILES AND I WOULD HOPE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR YEARS TO COME BUT IN THESE TIMES $3000 IS A DIFFICULT BILL TO TAKE.
FUEL SENSOR FAILURE IS A COMMON FAILURE WITH DODGE RAM TRUCKS. DODGE RAM IS VERY MUCH AWARE OF THIS DEFECTIVE PART THAT IS A MONETARY BURDEN TO THE CONSUMER OF THIS TRUCK. PROBLEM FIRST APPEARED AT 40,000 MILES AND I BELIEVE DEALERSHIP SERVICE REPLACED SENSOR ON ONE OF MY SERVICE VISITS AND DIDN'T TELL ME BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE PROBLEM AGAIN UNTIL 151,880 MILES. I WAS HAVING OTHER ISSUES AT TIME AND I THINK THEY THOUGHT THIS WOULD SHUT ME UP !!

NOW I CAN BE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND MY TRUCK WILL LOWER ALL THE WAY DOWN WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THIS MAKES THE TRUCK TO LOOS CONTROL GOING DOWN THE ROAD AT HIGH SPEEDS. WHILE DRIVING, FUEL SENSOR FAIL NOTICE DISPLAYED ON DASH AND FUEL GAUGE DROPPED TO EMPTY.33,000 MILES ON 2014 RAM 1500. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH FAULTY FUEL SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE UNIT. DEALER WANTS $800 TO FIX.
IN MY DRIVEWAY, WHILE BACKING UP, LEFT REAR BRAKE PAD SIMPLY FELL OUT OF THE BRAKE ONTO THE DRIVEWAY. BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. TRUCK WOULDN'T STOP UNTIL BRAKE PUMPED BACK UP.. DEALER SAYS "THIS HAPPENS". REALLY? THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT; NO IMPACT; NO EFFORT AT SELF-REPAIR OR PARTS REPLACEMENT. IT JUST FELL OUT. FRIGHTENING.
WAS TOLD THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLT/STUDS WARPED AND SNAPPED AND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD IS WARPED, THIS HAPPENED ON THE DRIVER SIDE FIRST BUT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT NOW HAPPENING ON DRIVER SIDE OUT OF WARRANTY. WAS TOLD MY DEALERSHIP THEY SEE THIS OFTEN AND WAS TOLD FCA HAS FIXED THE PROBLEM IN NEWER YEARS BY USING STRONGER MATERIAL IN THE BOLTS. THIS INFORMS ME THAT FCA KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM BUT THE DEALERS WON'T COVER IT AS A DESIGN DEFECT. CLEARLY THERE IS A DESIGN DEFECT WITH THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS AS THEY SHOULD NOT BE DOING THIS AND MANUFACTURES ARE SUPPOSE TO ACCOUNT FOR THESE PARTS TO SEE EXTREME TEMP CHANGES. THIS HAS HAPPENED NOW TWICE TO ME BUT BECAUSE I AM NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY THEY WON'T FIX THE PROBLEM. THE FIST TIME WAS BEFORE 60,000 MILES AND NOW THE OTHER SIDE IS HAPPENING AT 76,000 MILES. TO SUMMARIZE THE PROBLEM IS WARPED EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS AND THE MANIFOLD ITSELF.
