AS SOON AS I HIT OVER 36,000 MILES, I BEEN HAVING TROUBLE WITH DOOR LOCKS. SOME DOORS LOCK AND UNLOCK. SOMETIMES THEY ALL WORK FINE. IT IS VERY RANDOM. USING THE KEY FOB AND POWER LOCK BUTTON IN CAR IS WORKING RANDOMLY. I HAVE READ ONLINE THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR MANY YEARS.
MULTIPLE EPISODES OF VEHICLE CODES DISABLING TRUCK, ALL RELATED TO 'SERVICE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL' MESSAGE. THIS HAS CAUSED LOSS OFF POWER WITH VEHICLE STALLING ON MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY, MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. OTHER TIMES VEHICLE HAS SCARY DELAY IN THROTTLE RESPONSE CAUSING NERVE WRACKING MOMENTS TRYING TO MERGE OR OPERATE VEHICLE SAFELY. VEHICLE PURCHASED NEW, PROBLEMS BEGAN WITH ONLY 1500 MILES ON VEHICLE. FOUR TIMES TO DEALER FOR SERVICE HASN'T RESOLVED ISSUE.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO CROWN DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (LOCATED AT 6300 KING DR, VENTURA, CA 93003) TO BE REPAIRED PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL REGARDING THE TAILGATE, INFO TIMING SYSTEM, GPS, FUEL TANK, AND THE SENDING UNIT. AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER AND DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR END. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOTICED THAT THE AIR ROD SUSPENSION DID NOT HAVE AIR. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE BOUNCED DUE TO LACK OF AIR IN THE SUSPENSION. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO SHAVER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM & FIAT (3888 THOUSAND OAKS BLVD, THOUSAND OAKS, CA 91362, (805) 496-7103), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 57840183. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500.
AFTER ECM REFLASH, NOW THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE FOR 3 SECONDS WITH ENGINE COLD. NO POWER UNTIL DELAY TIME HAS PASSED THEN ITLL ACCEL. ONCE ENGINE IS AT OPERATING TEMP IT DRIVES NORMALLY. THIS ONLY STARTED SINCE THE LATEST ECM AND TCM REFLASHES WERE PERFORMED.
POOR FUEL MILEAGE POOR PERFORMANCE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 RAM 1500 CARGO VAN LOW. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PARKED AT A PARKING LOT WITH THE VEHICLE TURNED OFF, WITHOUT WARNING A COUPLE OF HOURS LATER THE VEHICLE WAS UP IN FLAMES. THE CONTACT AT THAT TIME WAS INSIDE THE VEHICLE SLEEPING AND WAS WOKEN BY THE EXPLOSION OF THE WINDSHIELD. WHICH MADE THE CONTACT JUMP OUT THE VEHICLE CAUSING THE CONTACT TO INJURED HIS RIGHT KNEE. NO POLICE REPORT WAS MADE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. NO MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS CONTACTED. THERE WAS A FIRE REPORT MADE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY A INDEPENDENT TOWING COMPANY TO A LOT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT 5 DAYS BEFORE HE HAD A DEALER CHANGE HIS OIL. THE DEALER BRUCE CHEVROLET COLLISION CENTER 1084 SW OAK ST, HILLSBORO, OR 97123 (503)-619-8349 WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT NO INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CONTACT DODGE MANUFACTURER FOR FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000., OIL CHANGE WAS ONLY A WEEK OLD. CK. *DT*JB *DT *DT*JB CONSUMER STATED THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT BACK IN NOVEMBER, THIS IS THE ONLY OPEN HOOD PICTURE I HAD. THE FLAMES I SAW FLICKERING JUST OFF CENTER OF THE ENGINE. BETWEEN THE WIPERS COMING THROUGH THE SAME GRILL ON THE TOP. JUST A FEW INCHES NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE ENGINE. JUST BEFORE THE WINDSHIELD EXPLODED AND I JUMPED OUR OF THE INFERNO. LIKE THAT LITTLE WHITE THING... ON THE ENGINE. THE FIRE DESTROYED EVERYTHING.*JB *TR*JB CONSUMER STATED THIS WAS NOT A CRASH AS MY VEHICLE FOUGHT FIRE WHILE SITTING COLD FOR 8 HOURS PRIOR TO THE MYSTERIOUS FIRE IN THE ENGINE SECTION. DRIVING UNDER CRUISE CONTROL 65MPH (THE SPEED LIMIT) MY SPEED DROPPED, I ACCELERATED BUT TRUCK KEPT SLOWING,I SAW WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD AND BEHIND THE TRUCK, I SAW A WARNING ON DASH TO SERVICE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE SENSOR, THEN LIGHTS ON DASH FLASHED, I FOUND A SPOT ON SIDE OF THE ROAD AND PULLED OVER, THE ENGINE REVVED AND I HEARD VALVES CLATTER WORSE THAN I EVER HAVE,THEN THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON, I STOPPED, PULLED THE HOOD AND SAW FLAMES AT THE FIREWALL AND TOP OF THE ENGINE COVER, THERE MAY HAVE BEEN FLAMES IN OTHER AREAS BUT I SHUT THE HOOD QUICKLY AND STARTED GETTING THINGS OUT OF THE TRUCK AWAY FROM THE FLAMES, CALLED 911 AND IT FULLY ENGULFED THE CAB IN MINUTES. THE FIRE TRUCK ARRIVED WITHIN A FEW MINUTES AND EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. TRUCK WAS A TOTAL LOSS EXCEPT THE BED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMAL REVVING NOISE AND BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE THROTTLE SENSOR WARNING INDICATOR BEGAN TO FLASH INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD, AND NOTICED FLAMES COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CONTACT CALLED 911 AND THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS ARRIVED ON THE SCENE. THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED. POLICE REPORT NUMBER: AL0630200 AND FIRE REPORT NUMBER: 0001218 WERE FILED AT THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A JUNK YARD. CARLOCK CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF TUSCALOOSA (550 SKYLAND BLVD E, TUSCALOOSA, AL 35405, 205-759-4421) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED AN EMAIL FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V757000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING), WHICH WAS ASSOCIATED WITH HIS VEHICLE AFTER THE FIRE OCCURRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,539. *DT*JB
AT APPROXIMATELY 6100 MILES NOTED ENGINE TICKING NOISE ONLY ON COLD START UP. TOOK TO DEALER FOR REPAIR AND THEY FOUND A NUMBER OF BROKEN EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS (THEY REPLACED 9 OF THEM). ACCORDING TO DODGE FORUMS AND THE DODGE DEALERSHIP THIS APPARENTLY IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH RAM SEMI ENGINES.
TAKATA INFLATOR WAS HIT IN THE SIDE, NO AIRBAG THEN TRUCK ROLLED ON SIDE NO AIRBAG WHEN THEY ROLLED TRUCK BACK OVER AIRBAGS DEPLOYED *DSY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF IT BEING IN THE PARK POSITION. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HE WAS DISTRACTED TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS AT THE TIME WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS RELEASED AND BEGAN TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. AS THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO EXIT, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY CAUSING THE DRIVER TO FALL OUT THE VEHICLE AND HIT HIS HEAD ON THE GROUND. AS A RESULT OF THE FALL, THE CONTACT HAD A VAGUE MEMORY AS TO THE EXACT EVENTS THAT TOOK PLACE. THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER A 400 FEET CLIFF. WHEN THE DRIVER FELL OUT OF THE VEHICLE, HE WAS UNCONSCIOUS FOR AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF TIME, SUSTAINED AN ANKLE, CRACKED HEAD, AND FRACTURED HIP INJURIES. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT SOUGHT. THE CONTACT HAD TO LIMP A FEW MILES ON FOOT TO A CELL PHONE SITE AND CONTACTED THE HIGHWAY PATROL. THE POLICE WAS PRESENT AND A REPORT WAS ISSUED NUMBER: 9730-2019-01017. NO AMBULANCE OR FIRE DEPARTMENT PRESENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED OUT THE CLIFF LINE WHICH TOOK 8 HOURS TO COMPLETE AND WAS TAKEN TO AN IMPOUND LOT. THE INSURANCE COMPANY PICKED IT UP AFTERWARDS. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE APPARENT FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V100000 (POWER TRAIN). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. *DT *TR *BF *JB *DT *AS *TR
I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AFTER THE HIT. THE IMPACT WAS ON DRIVERS SIDE TO MIDDLE OF THE TRUCK AND PER DODGE THERE WAS A DRIVERS SIDE FAULT CODE FOR THE LEFT SIDE AIR BAG SENSOR. THIS WAS NOT INSPECTED BY THEM WHILE IT WAS AT THE SHOP AFTER INFORMING THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I WAS SENT HOME WITH NO EXPLANATION OF WHAT WAS WRONG WITH AIR BAGS. THEY SEEN THE PICTURES OF ACCIDENT AND STATED THEY SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. PER CHRYSLER THEY SAID TO CONTACT DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT INSPECTED AND PAY THE FEE. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS WITH THIS MODEL TRUCK AFTER ACCIDENTS AND AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYING. I HAD THE ORC RECALL DONE AND THERE WAS ALSO ANOTHER ISSUE WITH THE AIR BAGS THAT WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL AND THE REPLACED THE AIRBAG SYSTEM ALONG WITH COMPUTER. THIS TRUCK IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND CHRYSLER IS NOT DOING MUCH TO ACCEPT LIABILITY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 RAM 1500. WHILE THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND WAS DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE "DEATH WOBBLE" AND SHOOK VIOLENTLY. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE MORE THAN 60 MPH. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MAZDA OF MESQUITE (LOCATED AT 15900 LYNDON B JOHNSON FWY, MESQUITE, TX 75150, (972) 686-6200), BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. THE DEALER REPLACED ALL FOUR TIRES, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
SLUGGISH TURBO, THEN FLASHES THROTTLE CABLE, ENGINE LIGHT, LIGHTNING BOLT LIGHT CAME ON, THEM TOTAL LOSS OF SPEED AND POWER. THE SLUGGISH TURBO HAS BEEN AN ISSUE AND THIS ALL HAPPENED WHILE LEAVING OUT CHURCH PARKING LOT HEADING HOME. IT IS AT SETH WADLEYS IN PAULS VALLEY, OK AS I TYPE THIS AWAITING IF MY EXTENDED WARRANTY WILL PAY FOR THIS! WAS TOLD THIS WAS IS A ISSUE WITH THE ECO DIESELS AND A RECALL WAS JUST SENT OUT FOR MODELS UP TO '16. LEAVING MY '17 WITH THE SAME ISSUE OUT!
I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERIES IN BOTH KEY SETS. WHEN YOU HIT THE BUTTON TO UNLOCK THE DOORS ONLY THE DRIVER DOOR UNLOCKS. YOU NOW HAVE TO HAVE A KEY IN THE IGNITION BEFORE THE OTHER DOORS WILL UNLOCKED INCLUDING THE TAILGATE.
The contact owns a 2017 Ram 1500. The contact stated while attempting to exceed speeds above 25 mph, the vehicle jerked with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that speed increased after a moment with a hard jerk with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The mechanic located a transmission fault code. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The diagnostic report was not provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 25,000.
FUEL SENSOR FAIL, ONCE FUEL GETS TO JUST BELOW HALF A TANK, THE FUEL SENSOR FAILS AMD GAS GUAGE DROPS TO EMPTY, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, ALSO THE ECO SUSTEM WILL FAIL FOR FUEL SAVINGS. I FEAR THE TRUCK WILL SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING BECAUSE IT WILL THINK IT HAS NO FUEL. I HAVE RESEARCHED MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE ON LINE. ISSUE HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE 4/15/19. MILAGE ON TRUCK IS 46000. MILEAGE IS SAME AS PREVOIUS COMPLAINTS FOR SAME ISSUE.
24 HOURS AFTER PURCHASE (200 MILES DRIVEN) A CHEMICAL ODOR AND IRRITANT FILLS THE CANE, MY 6 YEAR OLD STATED THE AIR HAS PEPPER IN IT. THE ISSUE WORSENED WHEN OPERATING THE HEAT/AC FUNCTION CAUSING EYES TO BURN, HEADACHE AND DISORIENTATION. MANY OWNERS ON PUBLIC FORUM HAVE NOTED SAME ISSUE AND COMMONLY MENTION THE CAUSE TO BE A REACTION OF FAULTY MANUFACTURED COOLANT HOSE BEING DISSOLVED BY THE COOLANT. CHRYSLER AND DEALERS HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED AS CONTINUOUS EXPOSURE OF TOXIC FUMES GREATLY INCREASES RISK OF CRASH. NO RESOLUTION HAS BEEN PROVIDED TO MY KNOWLEDGE.
ON A 2 LANE RURAL ROAD OUR FRONT HIT THE SIDE OF ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF US. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. MY SPEED WAS BETWEEN 30-40 MPH AT POINT OF IMPACT.
VEHICLE WILL START AND REV UP HIGH AND THEN IMMEDIATELY SHUTDOWN OR WILL BE DRIVING AND VEHICLE WILL SHUT DOWN AND LOCK EVERYTHING UP CAUSING VEHICLE TO SLIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS SENT BACK TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE PROBLEM FIXED BUT IS STILL DOING THE SAME THING.
The fuel sending unit failed on several occasions. The vehicle display would indicate low fuel and the gauge would go to full empty. On the third time it displayed I also got a check ending light. Not knowing if the tank was really empty, I filled and it took 11 gallons for a 26 gallon tank. Dealer indicated code P0463 fuel level sensor failure. Online there are lots of complaints of this happening with less than 50k miles. Why hasn't this become a recall? it is not safe to have sensor fail while driving due to distraction. Not to mention an unnecessary expense for the owner. Ram should have corrected this issue long before the 2017 model year.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (LOCKWOOD MOTORS LOCATED AT 1310 E COLLEGE DR, MARSHALL, MN 56258) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE AIR SUSPENSION PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RON TONKIN CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM FIAT (16800 SE MCLOUGHLIN BLVD, MILWAUKIE, OR 97267, (503) 258-5800) FOR A COOLANT FAN REPLACEMENT AND DIAGNOSED THERE WAS A SLOW RADIATOR LEAK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,650.
TRUCK ROLLED DOWN A SLIGHT INCLINE 20-30 FEET WHILE IN PARK DRIVER NOT IN VEHICLE AND STRUCK ANOTHER CAR BEHIND IT. VEHICLE STATIONARY, IN FRONT OF 58 PARKER BLVD MONSEY NY 10952. DRIVER AND PASSENGER OF OTHER VEHICLE WITNESSED EVENT. VEHICLE WAS IN PARK AND OFF KEY OUT OF IGNITION OCCURRENCE 03/03/19 830-845 PM. TRUCK SUSTAINED BUMPER DAMAGE CAR SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE HOOD.
SUNROOF HAS EXCESSIVE LEAKING. IT SEEMS TO BE DRAINING HOWEVER UNDER PRESSURE OF CAR WASH DROPLETS MAKE IT INTO CABIN OF TRUCK. REAR PASSANGER AND DRIVER SIDE ARE WHERE WATER FLOW IS COMING FROM AND IT SEEMS LIKE SEAL ISN'T TIGHT. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TESTED IN CAR WASH IT'S CURRENTLY WINTER AND WE DON'T HAVE THE ABILITY TO TEST WHAT WOULD HAPPEN DURING RAIN. ALSO HAPPENED ON A FLAT SURFACE STATIONARY
VEHICLE BEGAN INTERMITTENTLY "POPPING" OR "JERKING" WHILE DRIVING AND WOULD HAVE GEAR ISSUES SUCH AS APPEARING TO REMAIN IN 1ST GEAR OR WOULD FAIL TO GO INTO REVERSE. THE POPPING INTO A LOWER GEAR WOULD HAPPEN WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS MOVING AND THUS CAUSED AN IMMEDIATE TRAFFIC SLOWDOWN AND POTENTIAL ACCIDENT SITUATION. ALSO, THE VEHICLE WOULD FAIL TO REVERSE AT TIME AND WOULD ONLY REMEDY ITSELF AFTER TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF AND THEN BACK ON. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD INTERMITTENTLY COME ON AND OFF AND ALMOST A YEAR AGO, I WAS ADVISED BY THE DEALER (TALLAHASSEE DODGE) THAT THERE WAS A GEAR RATIO ISSUE. AIR SUSPENSION FAILURE. WHEN THE TEMPERATURE IS BELOW ZERO DEGREES FAHRENHEIT , THE AIR SUSPENSION FAILS AND SITS ALL THE WAY DOWN ON THE BUMP STOPS, OR LEANS TO THE LEFT DRAMATICALLY. IT STAYS THAT WAY UNTIL THE DEALERSHIP CAN TAKE IT IN, WHICH CAN BE WEEKS.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A WRECK BACK ON FEB 20TH OF 2019.THAT IMPACTED THE LOWER REAR C-POST OF MY TRUCK. JUST LAST WEEK AS THE BODY SHOP WAS BEGINNING PREPARATIONS TO REPLACE THE COMPLETE SIDE OF MY 2017 RAM 1500. WHEN THEY CUT OFF THE A/B-POSTS THEY NOTICED THE TRUCK HAD SURFACE RUST IN THE INNER STRUCTURE OF BOTH. RUST THAT SHOULD NOT BE IN THERE. THE C-POST AND ROCKER PANELS WERE COATED ON THE INSIDE BUT NOT THE OTHER TWO. I HAVE TAKEN PICTURES ALTHOUGH THEY ARE NOT AS GOOD AS ACTUALLY LOOKING AT THE ISSUE IN PERSON. THEY ARE REPLACING THAT BUT MAKES ME CONCERNED ABOUT OTHER RAMS AND HONESTLY THE OTHER SIDE OF MY TRUCK. A LOT OF THINGS CAN RUST ON A TRUCK AND YOU WOULD STILL BE CONSIDERED SAFE. THE A/B-POST IS NOT ON THAT LIST IN MY OPINION.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE CHEST AND NECK, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW FACILITY LOT. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE LOT, IT WAS INSPECTED BY REPRESENTATIVES FROM FCA. THE RESULTS OF THE INSPECTION WERE NOT COMPLETED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS SCHEDULED TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
TIMING COVER OIL LEAK. TIMING COVER LEAKED OIL EVEN AFTER MULTI ATTEMPTS TO CORRECT PROBLEM. THEIR SOLUTION IS TO PUT MORE RTV ON THE TIMING COVER AND REASSEMBLE. DOES NOT FIX PROBLEM.
TAKATA RECALL. IN THE WINTER MONTHS THERE ARE A HOST OF ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. AT TIMES, THE RADIO WILL NOT TUTN OFF AFTER I SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE. THE ONLY FIX WAS YO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. THE BACKUP CAMERA GOES COMPLETELY GREEN ALSO. THE AIR SUSPENSION FAILS SEVERAL TIMES PER WEEK DURING THE WINTER MONTHS AS WELL. I HAVE IT PARKED OUTSIDE ALL THE TIME.

5 DAYS AFTER HAVING THE TRUCK IN FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND RECALLS... I TOOK THE TRUCK THROUGH AN AUTOMATED CAR WASH. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THIS SAME CAR WASH SEVERAL TIMES. I PUT THE TRUCK IN NEUTRAL, AS INSTRUCTED BY THE ATTENDANT. AT THE END OF THE WASH, WHEN THE GREEN LIGHT CAME ON, I PUT IT INTO DRIVE. IT DID NOT MOVE. I TRIED MANY TIMES, BUT WITHOUT SUCCESS. FINALLY THE MANAGER CAME TO HELP ME, AND HE TOO WITNESSED THAT IT WOULD NOT MOVE. WE PUT IT INTO PARK, AND THEN INTO DRIVE, TWO MORE TIMES BEFORE IT FINALLY JERKED FORWARD. IN THE MEANTIME, I WAS HIT BY THE TRUCK BEHIND ME, AND SET OFF A CHAIN OF 5 VEHICLES COLLIDING. THE GEAR DIAL SAID I WAS IN DRIVE EACH TIME, BUT CLEARLY, I WAS NOT. I AM TAKING IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FIRST THING IN THE MORNING.

THE LIFTERS IN MY 3.6 LITER RAM 1500 ARE BAD AT 80000 MILES. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM REPORTED WITH THIS ENGINE IN 2011-2013 DODGE VEHICLES. DODGE KNOWS THIS IS STILL A PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY LOWERED THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY FROM 100000 MILES TO 60000 MILES. THEY HAVE NOT FIXED THE ISSUES WITH THE 3.6 LITER ENGINE. THEY NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED AND MADE TO MAKE APPROPRIATE REPAIRS.
AIR SUSPENSION WILL STOP WORKING CAUSING THE TRUCK TO RIDE DIRECTLY ON THE FRAME. ALSO, THE FRONT WILL DEFLATE WHILE THE BACK IS STILL INFLATED. ANY TIME THIS HAPPENS THE FUSE FOR THE AIR SUSPENSION IS BLOWN. HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS SINCE PURCHASING THE TRUCK. OCCURS WHILE VEHICLE IS PARKED AND NOT IN OPERATION.

I BELIEVE THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THE REAR WINDOW DRAIN HOLES BEING PLUGGED BUT NOT CERTAIN. ONLY A YEAR OLD AND SURPRISED THIS OCCURRED. CHECKED YOUTUBE AND FOUND THIS ISSUE WITH OLDER MODELS OF RAM TRUCKS. ITS TAKEN A ACT OF CONGRESS TO GET DEALER TO SCHEDULE A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. WENT TO LOCAL DEALER AND THEY TRIED TO REDIRECT TO A WATER SPECIALIST LOCALLY. THEY WERE AVOIDING THE WARRANTY OR JUST PLAIN LAZY. COME ON DODGE YOU CAN DO BETTER. I HAVE NOTICED THIS FROM THE TRUCK BEING PARKED IN FRONT OF MY HOME. I NOW PLACE TOWELS TO CAPTURE WATER ON RAINY DAYS.

WHILE AT THE BOAT RAMP, PULLING A BOAT OUT OF THE WATER. THE TRUCK WAS ON AN INCLINE. THE BOAT WAS ABOUT 1200 - 1500 POUNDS TOTAL. THE TRUCK WAS IN PARK, PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED. SITTING IN THE CAB WITH THE SEAT BELT ON AND THE DOOR AJAR, PLACING THE TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE, AFTER THE TRANSMISSION ENGAGED I INCREASED THE RPM SLIGHTLY WITH THE GAS PEDAL AND THEN RELEASED THE PARKING BRAKE. THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE NORMAL PROCEDURE THAT PREVENTS THE RIG FROM ROLLING BACKWARD. WHEN I DID THIS AND ADDED MORE THROTTLE THE TRUCK STARTED TO MOVE FORWARD BUT THEN QUICKLY DISENGAGED FROM PARK TO N, THE TRUCK STARTED TO ROLL BACKWARDS AND THE RPM INCREASED. I WAS ABLE TO APPLY THE BRAKE AND STOP. THIS REPEATED SEVERAL TIMES. THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FLASHED A WARNING THAT THE TRUCK WAS NOT IN PARK. I BELIEVE THERE IS A FLAW IN THE AUTO PARK FEATURE. IT IS REPEATABLE. INCLINE, DOOR AJAR, BELT ON, FROM PARK TO DRIVE. ON FLAT GROUND I CAN NOT DUPLICATE.
I CAN HAVE A FULL TANK OF GAS AND IT WILL SAY LOW GAS AND THE GAS LIGHT WILL COME ON SOMETIMES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND READ FUEL SENSOR ERROR
