Data synced from NHTSA on May 4, 2026
The ABS module failed. This resulted in the ABS function not working along with cruise control. This seems to be more common with this model year. Warrant did not cover this so I had to pay the dealer to replace the ABS pump and ABS electronic module .
THE TRANSMISSION FAILED WHILE DRIVING IN CITY STREET TRAFFIC WITH NO WARNING. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD OR IN REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS HAULED TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS UNDER WARRANTY.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH and when depressing the brake pedal, the ABS was inoperable and made abnormal sounds. The contact stated that the ABS and Traction Control warning lights were illuminated with the ABS failure message displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with ABS brake module failure. The failure occurred on numerous occasions. The contact stated that the vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available for over a year. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that parts were on backorder. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.
ABS has been a non-stop issue on this truck since purchase. It has been "fixed" 3 times and currently is not drivable due to no ABS, traction control, cruise, or 4 wheel drive available. aBS module is on backorder for 3 months.
ABS system and traction control lights turn off and on intermittently. ABS pump and module have already been replaced and issue is still happening
In July of 2020 the service alarm went off for my electronic braking system and ABS. I took it to the local RAM dealership and they replaced the Hydraulic Control Unit for the ABS System (not covered under warranty). Now, in August of 2023 I am again having the same service alarm for the electronic braking system and ABS sporatically occur. I have not yet taken it back to the dealership, but in my search on YOUTUBE, this appears to be a systemic problem that the manufacturer is not addressing.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated that the ABS and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact stated that he was unable to utilize the vehicle as needed. Additionally, the warranty on the vehicle might expire before the vehicle was repaired. The local dealer was contacted and informed the contact that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was called but there was no response. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.
Vehicle receives service electronic brake system. HCU and ABS module seem to be the issue. Cannot drive more than 20 mph without message saying service is needed. It is constant up to 80 mph. Vehicle is parked due to safety reasons.
THE STEERING WHEEL IS NOT ADJUSTABLE WHEN PERFORMING ALIGNMENT, DUE TO RECALL FIX UNDER V06/NHTSA 19V-021. STEERING WHEEL OFF CENTER. TIME WHEEL CREATE UNEVEN WEAR IN TIRES AND OR OVER CORRECTING IN STEERING. *TR
There is a fault with the ABS sensors. Everyone I know with same year make and model has the same issue.
THIS VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION AT SPEEDS GREATER THAN 35 MPH. THE PASSENGER FRONT SEATBELT DID NOT LOCK AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.*DT*JB *TR
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, the "Service ABS" warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the ABS hydraulic control unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred four years later. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.
This truck has just over 40k miles and the hydraulic control unit and the anti-lock brake system module has failed 3 times. The first failure was at 28k miles, the second failure was at 36k miles, and the third failure was at 40k miles. When the systems fail ABS, Traction Control, and Cruise Control are all disabled. The problem is easily reproducible by the dealer, and at the 3 RAM dealerships I have been to, the service managers all say this is a problem that plagues all 2017-2018 RAM 2500 and 2018-2019 RAM 3500 trucks. If you at any of the RAM forums or Facebook groups you will see this is a very common failure that leaves the owner without ABS or Traction Control, which is very dangerous when using the truck for its intended purpose (hauling trailers). This problem is so common that the part is commonly on backorder for 3-6 months. When I went to the dealer after my latest failure in Nov 2023, I was told the part would not be available until sometime in the summer of 2024. The the failure occurs the ABS and Traction Control Light come on, and you get a message that says "Service Electronic Braking System". RAM really needs to redesign the part(s) and issue a recall for this. The contact stated that the vehicle has yet to be repaired.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving at undisclosed speed, the contact pressed the auto memory button on the front driver’s side seat and became aware that the electronic control unit on the vehicle had reset itself and radio which caused the front driver’s and passenger’s side rearview mirrors to open and close independently. Additionally, the front driver’s and passenger’s side windows activated independently. The contact stated that the failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and diagnosed the failure with an electronic control unit failure however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact took the vehicle to another dealer, Wake Forest Dodge RAM (10936 Star Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587, (919) 899-4586) who inspected the vehicle and confirmed the failure with the electronic control unit in the radio. The unit was replaced however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 33,000.
CARPLAY STOPS WORKING AT RANDOM. WAS WORKING FINE, THEN STOPS. ONLY CHARGES PHONE FOR A SECOND. THEN STOPS ALTOGETHER. WE'VE BOUGHT SEVERAL NEW CHARGES, APPLE NAME BRAND, TRIED SEVERAL DIFFERENT PHONES & IT STILL ISN'T WORKING.
I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH MY DRAG LINK LOOSENING WHILE DRIVING. A RECALL WAS ISSUED HOWEVER THE SOLUTION TO MITIGATE THIS IS WELDING THE JAM NUTS. THIS DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO REALIGN THE TRUCK PROPERLY. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT FCA DOZENS OF TIMES AND HAVE PROMISED A CASE MANAGER WOULD CALL ME BACK TO RECTIFY THIS BUT THEY HAVE FAILED TO REACH OUT. THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR TWO MONTHS NOW AND POSES A SERIOUS SAFETY RISK TO MY VEHICLE AND MY FAMILY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 RAM 2500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V021000 (STEERING). AS PART OF THE RECALL REPAIR, THE ADJUSTER SLEEVE NUT WAS WELDED TO THE DRAGLINK. THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED AT BROWNING DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (1983 HAMNER AVE, NORCO, CA 92860, (951) 272-3110). THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE VEHICLE WAS PULLING TO THE RIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR ALIGNMENT HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO PERFORM THE ALIGNMENT DUE TO THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER REFERRED THE CONTACT TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER TO HAVE A NEW DRAGLINK INSTALLED FREE OF COST. THE DRAGLINK WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED WITH THE VEHICLE PULLING TO THE RIGHT. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT. THE CONTACT REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE ALIGNMENT AND THE VEHICLE REMAINED UNREPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000.
In April , 2020, I contacted the RAM dealership because the "Service Electronic Braking System" warning light was coming on intermittently in my truck. It took two months to get an appointment scheduled at which time the truck was diagnosed with a faulty ABS hydraulic module. Estimated delivery time for the replacement part was an additional two months which made the truck over the 36000 mile warranty period. An appointment was made to have the part replaced but when I took the vehicle in I was advised there was no mechanic available to do the work. I purchased the part and had it installed by another dealer at a total cost of $986.86. The exact same problem reoccurred in May, 2022 and the part was replaced at a cost of $882.01. The problem reoccurred again in April, 2023 and was misdiagnosed as a computer problem which was repaired at a cost of $722.80. A new hydraulic module was then ordered to actually fix the problem and here it is a year later and there is still no firm delivery date available. The alarm and warning light flash almost constantly. We have had three close calls in the rain due to the failure of the ABS system and at this point I feel the vehicle is unsafe to drive. In addition to the ABS system malfunctioning, this problem also makes the cruise control inoperable. Recently the right front brake has begun to chatter making the vehicle pull to the right.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated that the ABS warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the ABS module was replaced. The contact stated that the failure persisted. Additionally, the vehicle was leaking fluid from the rear differential. The ABS module was replaced 3 times. The vehicle had not been repaired for the oil leaking from the rear axle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case regarding the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 11,000.
The systems in question are the ABS and Traction Control Systems on my 2018 Ram 2500 6.7L 4x4 Heavy Duty. This vehicle has had issues from the beginning with these systems as the first repair took place at 10,640 miles at the dealership it was purchased from. This took care of the codes/lights for a short period and was covered under warranty but the same issue persisted not too long after mileage-wise. The next time this issue occurred was when the truck had 22,628 miles, the brake fluid was flushed in an attempt to correct the ABS light but was unsuccessful. The truck was then brought to another repair shop to correct the same issue again where the ABS Hydraulic Module, ABS Control Module, and the brake fluid were replaced at 23,702 miles at the sole cost of the owner. As of early July 2024, at 45,000 miles the lights have again started intermittently coming on stating there is an issue with both the ABS and Traction Control Systems and must be serviced. After reading through multiple forums and speaking to other owners, this seems to be a common occurrence and needs to be looked into by the NHTSA due to major safety concerns. Although there were no accidents or police reports in this case, this malfunction poses a major safety hazard for the driver, passengers, and others on the road if a recall is not issued. There should be no reason a $60,000+ heavy duty premium truck consistently has these issues with no accountability and/or repercussions held to the FCA group. My personal concern is for my family as this is our primary vehicle and living where we commonly have inclement weather, if the ABS and Traction Control Systems fail randomly during a storm, this has a high potential to cause major injury or death to both our family and other drivers on the road. Not to mention the potential cost of collision damage to the vehicle(s) and/or other person's property.
I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT TODAY THAT TOTALLED MY TRUCK AND THE AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. IMPACT DAMAGE WAS IN THE FRONT AND BOTH SIDE REAR PASSENGER DOORS. CAR RAN STOP SIGN AND THE BRUNT OF IMPACT WAS IN THE FRONT.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the ABS, cruise control, and traction control warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the brake control valve needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and notified of the failure. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 14,000.
Multiple ABS pump and ABS hydraulic control unit failures. Components have been replaced and replaced components failed also after a few months.

Have had my truck into the dealer several times to check a hard brake pedal. No error code. When stopping it feels like there is no power brake Assist. It's harder to stop than my old truck with no power brakes especially when pulling my travel trailer. Dealer rep has driven truck an even admitted it was hard to stop. Truck has less than 22 000 miles. email - [XXX] / phone: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
TODAY (SUNNY, 65 DEGREES) WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH, ON HIGHWAY 120 IN MANTECA, CA (A 2 LANE HIGHWAY) WITH NO OTHER VEHICLES AROUND MY SUNROOF SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERED. THE DOOR WINDOWS WERE NOT OPEN BUT THE REAR SLIDER WINDOW MAY HAVE BEEN OPEN. I WASHED THE VEHICLE EARLIER THIS WEEK AND DRIED THE WINDOWS IMMEDIATELY TO AVOID WATER SPOTS AND DID NOT NOTICE ANY CRACKS IN THE SUNROOF. THE SUNROOF HAS BEEN OPENED TWO, MAYBE THREE TIMES SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IN MAY 2019. THE VEHICLE HAS 10,800 MILES ON IT. I DROVE IMMEDIATELY TO THE DEALERSHIP AND SHOWED THEM WHAT HAPPENED. THEY STATED THEY'VE NEVER HEARD OF ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE. I CALLED THE CUSTOMER CAROLINE AND ALSO REPORTED IT WITH THEM AND I'M SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE A PHONE CALL ON MONDAY, MARCH 16.
1. ABS/Electric Stability Control service antilock brakes lights flicker on and off. 2. When ABS light is on you could lose control of brakes due to possibility of wheels locking up. 3. Went to the dealer twice to correct the problem and still having the same issue. 4. The vehicle was inspected and worked on by Ram Dealer. 5. No warning lights before failure.
My VIN had the steering recall performed, but the welded drag link, which was the "remedy." At the time, it prevents alignment. The vehicle is now non-serviceable. I called Dodge requesting authorization for the updated adjustable drag link and alignment under recall remediation, and was told there is nothing they can do. This is incorrect. I called them four (4) times and was hung up on each time. Recall remedy V06 rendered the steering non-serviceable The vehicle cannot be aligned. The steering wheel cannot be centered.
ABS light is on and the ABS Controller has already been changed out twice. Its unsafe braking conditions for myself and the public especially in poor weather conditions or towing.
SIRIUS XM TRAVEL LINK CONSTANTLY PUSHES NOTIFICATIONS TO THE RADIO SCREEN WHICH MAKES THE DRIVER TALE THEIR EYES OFF OF THE ROAD TO CLEAR THE NOTIFICATION. SIRIUS XM ADDS THE SERVICE TO VEHICLES AT NO CHARGE WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE CONSUMER TO ACCEPT OR DENY THE SERVICE AND TAKES AWAY THE ABILITY FOR YOU TO REQUEST THE SERVICE BE TURNED OFF. I HAVE MADE PHONE CALLS AND REQUESTS TO HAVE THE DISTRACTING SERVICE TURNED OFF AND THEY REFUSE SAYING THAT BECAUSE IT HAS NO CHARGE THEY CAN'T TURN OFF THE SERVICE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 RAM 2500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER A WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD INDEPENDENTLY VEER TO THE LEFT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO CERRITOS DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (18803 STUDEBAKER RD, CERRITOS, CA 90703) WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THAT A JAM-LINK ON THE STEERING NUT HAD LOOSENED. THE NUT WAS TIGHTENED AND ANOTHER WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS PERFORMED. THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO INFORMED HIM THAT BOTH JAM LINKS HAD LOOSENED AND BOTH WERE TIGHTENED. THE STEERING FAILURE PERSISTED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LOS ANGELES CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (2025 S FIGUEROA ST, LOS ANGELES, CA 90007) WHERE HE WAS THEN INFORMED OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V021000 (STEERING) WHICH WAS LINKED TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT PREVIOUS RECORDS SHOWED THAT AN INSPECTION WAS PERFORMED PRIOR AND NO FAILURE WAS FOUND THEREFORE, THE RECALL WAS REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER FOR GUIDANCE ON HOW TO PROCEED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15,500.*DT*DT *TR*DT *JB
ABS, anti-skid, and cruise control inoperable for 3 years.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated that on two separate occasions, the HECU (Hydraulic Electric Control Unit) became defective. Due to the failure, the ABS, traction control unit (TCU), and cruise control features failed to operate as needed. The associated warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the contact was informed that the part for the repair was on back order. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
FCA COMPLETED A SUB-PAR REPAIR ON A DEFECT RELATED TO THEIR RECALL NOTICE V06. THIS 'REPAIR' WAS COMPLETED ON MY NEW 2018 RAM 2500 POWER WAGON PRIOR TO ME TAKING DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE (I AM THE 1ST OWNER). THE 'REPAIR' RELEGATES WHAT IS DESIGNED AND REQUIRED TO BE AN ADJUSTABLE STEERING DRAG LINK INTO A FIXED, NON-ADJUSTABLE COMPONENT BY WELDING THE JAM NUTS TO THE ADJUSTING SLEEVE. BY DOING SO, FUTURE STEERING ALIGNMENTS WILL REQUIRE ADDITIONAL TIME AND EXPENSE TO THE CUSTOMER BECAUSE FCA WANTS TO SAVE A FEW DOLLARS INSTEAD OF PROPERLY REPAIRING THE VEHICLE AS PART OF THE V06 RECALL CAMPAIGN. FCA REDESIGNED THIS COMPONENT FOR THE 2019+ MODELS AND THE NEWLY DESIGNED COMPONENT IS FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH PRIOR MODEL YEARS. I HAVE PURCHASED THE REDESIGNED COMPONENT AT MY OWN EXPENSE BECAUSE I DO NOT FEEL SAFE WITH AN ADJUSTABLE PART THAT WAS WELDED BY A NON-CERTIFIED WELDER AND WASN'T DESIGNED TO BE WELDED. THE MATERIALS ARE DISSIMILAR AND ANY WELD WILL BE SUBJECT TO FAILURE UNLESS CAREFUL CONSIDERATION WAS GIVEN TO THE AMPERAGE AND FILLER MATERIAL BEING USED TO COMPLETE THE WELD.
APPARENTLY RAM WELDED THE JAM NUTS TO THE ADJUSTER SLEEVE ON MY NEW 2018 RAM 2500 HD PRIOR TO ME TAKING DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE LAST YEAR. AFTER INSTALLING NEW TIRES, I ATTEMPTED TO HAVE MY TRUCK ALIGNED BUT WAS TOLD BY MY MECHANIC THAT HE WAS NOT WILLING TO ALIGN THE TRUCK DUE TO THE WELDS ON THE DRAG LINK ASSEMBLY. I WAS FORCED TO PURCHASED AN UPDATED DRAG LINK ASSEMBLY FROM RAM TO ALLOW MY TRUCK TO BE ALIGNED, BUT MY REIMBURSEMENT REQUEST TO FCA HAS BEEN DENIED BECAUSE THEY FEEL THE WELDS WERE SUFFICIENT TO REPAIR THE DEFECT OUTLINED IN THEIR V06 RECALL. THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY SHOULDN'T REST ON TWO BOOGER WELDS THAT WERE NOT PERFORMED BY A CERTIFIED WELDER AND FCA SHOULD BE LIABLE FOR THE COST OF THE PROPER REPLACEMENT PARTS.
LOSS OF THROTTLE FROM DEAD STOP AND WHILE AT VARYING SPEEDS, VEHICLE IS NOT THROWING ANY CODES. DEALER IS STUMPED AND HAS SENT ME AWAY IN A TRUCK THAT COULD CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. IVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH RAM TRUCKS/CHRYSLER FIAT BUT NOT GETTING MUCH TRACTION.
I STARTED MY 2018 RAM 2500 IN THE EARLY MORNING AND A MESSAGE POPPED UP IN MY MESSAGE CENTER ( SERVICE 4X4 SYSTEM) . USUALLY IT WOULD NOT BE A BIG DEAL BECAUSE YOU SHOULD SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE TO KEEP UP WITH MAINTENANCE , BUT I JUST BOUGHT THE TRUCK 10 MONTHS AGO AND IT HAS 5000 MILES ON IT. HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DEALER TO FIND OUT THE PROBLEM, 4X4 WILL NOT ENGAGE IN THE MEAN TIME.
ABS service light continues to ding. Part replaced 12/2019 @ 6,000 miles. Issue again 5/2023 @ 24,500 miles. Dealership unable to order part states it is defective for 2018 dodge ram 2500 truck. This causes abs failure.
WHILE OPERATING VEHICLE THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS WOULD FLASH ON AND OFF AND MESSAGE SERVICE ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM. THEN SERVICE ELECTRIC BRAKE SYSTEM WOULD FLASH IN MESSAGE CENTER. AFTER FLASHING ON AND OFF MULTIPLE TIMES THE MESSAGES SELF CLEARED AND LIGHTS WENT OUT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 RAM 2500. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND OPERATED NORMALLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO NAPLETON'S NORTHLAKE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (3701 NORTHLAKE BLVD, LAKE PARK, FL 33403, (888) 682-8985), BUT IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,500.
TRUCK LOSES POWER STEERING COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING MAKING IT 10X HARDER TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE MAKING TIGHT TURNS VERY DIFFICULT. LACK OF BRAKING POWER. TRUCK HAS A VERY EVIDENT AERATION NOISE EVERY TIME STEERING WHEEL IS TURNED AT ANY TIME. TRUCKS POWER STEERING FLUID HAS FALLEN BELOW MINIMUM THREE TIMES IN THE VEHICLES LIFE. TRUCK IS AT 27,000 MILES. ISSUE BEGAN AROUND 15,000 MILES. BUBBLES IN POWER STEERING RESERVOIR. POWER STEERING PUMP SMELLS LIKE IT'S BURNING UP. POWER STEERING PUMP AND HYDRO BOOST ARE FAILING AND HAS AIRFLOW PASSING THROUGH A SYSTEM THAT CONSTANTLY NEEDS TO BE LUBRICATED BY POWER STEERING FLUID. PUMP AND HYDROBOOST WILL FAIL PREMATURELY BEFORE THEIR LIFE EXPECTANCIES. I HAVE BROUGHT MY VEHICLE INTO THREE DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS, TWICE AT ROCKWALL DODGE, TWICE AS DALLAS DODGE, ONCE AT HUFFINES DODGE. DEALERSHIPS CLAIM NOTHING IS WRONG WITH VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING PUMP ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL IS MORE AUDIBLE THAN OTHERS, ALSO THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE SOME AIR CREATED IN POWER STEERING SYSTEM. DEALERSHIP SERVICE ADVISOR STATED, 'FOR ALL I KNOW, YOU COULD BE SYPHONING THE FLUID OUT OF THE RESERVOIR AND CLAIMING IT'S LOW' EACH DEALERSHIP SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG, BUT HAS FAILED TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHERE MY FLUID IS GOING, WHY I'M LOSING BRAKING POWER, HAVING COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER STEERING, OR WHY MY TRUCK IS VERY AUDIBLY MAKING AN AERATION NOISE. VEHICLE HAS BEEN OUT OF SERVICE FOR 15 PLUS DAYS. DEALERSHIPS ONLY LOOK TO SEE PHYSICAL LEAKS, SEE NOTHING, AND SAY IT'S FINE AND SEND ME OUT THE DOOR. I'VE BEEN THROUGH THE LEMON LAW PROCESS. FCA WON THE CASE AND NCDS DENIED BUYBACK. I WILL ATTACH A PICTURE OF NCDS'S STATEMENT ON WHY THE DENIAL WAS MADE. DIRECT STATEMENT FROM [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR
The electronic braking system failure alert is frequently happening. I believe this includes a failure in the anti-lock braking system also. If cruise control is active, it is also disabled.
At 15,000 miles i had Service ABS, Service Electronic Brake System and warning lights activating at different times/ conditions. When this happened the cruise would also disengage without warning. Brought to the dealer and the ABS control module and pump were replaced under warranty. At 75,000 miles the Service ABS, Service Electronic Brake System and warning lights were activating intermediately at different times/ conditions. Again the cruise would disengage without warning. I had the code checked at it was listed as code C0020-01 "ABS Pump Motor Control- General Electrical Failure." which i believe is the code that was thrown at the 15,000 mile mark. Right now i am waiting for the part to become available for replacement.
THE 2019 TRAVATO WAS BUILT ON THIS RAM 2500 CHASSIS. WINNEBAGO GLUED HEAVY, SILVER ALUMINUM TRIM STRIPS TO THE BOTTOM OF ALL SECTIONS OF THIS VAN. WE HAD THE ONE ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR FALL OFF WHILE PARKED IN LAS VEGAS IN MARCH OF 2019. WE HAD THIS REATTACHED WHICH WAS COVERED BY WARRANTY. IN NOVEMBER OF 2019 WE DISCOVERED OVER EIGHT MORE SECTIONS COMING LOOSE AND IT WAS GOING TO COST $1,300.00 TO HAVE THEM REINSTALLED. WE WERE TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO GUARANTEE THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE TO HAVE THEM REINSTALLED 4 OR 5 YEARS LATER. WE ELECTED TO HAVE THEM REMOVED INSTEAD. THESE ARE HEAVY PIECES OF METAL THAT ARE EXPOSED TO HIGH WIND GUSTS WHILE TRAVELLING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. IF ONE (OR MORE) SHOULD FLY OFF WHILE IN TRANSIT, THEY COULD DAMAGE VEHICLES FOLLOWING US OR EVEN CAUSE A FATAL ACCIDENT.

ABS (automatic braking system) audible alarm and visual light comes on constantly. Dodge Ram has changed it twice but it continues to fail. They have said the parts have been on back order for almost a year. Please help me get this safety issue resolved.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON A STATE HIGHWAY THE BRAKES ON MY VEHICLE FAILED. THE VEHICLE IS 10 MONTHS OLD AND HAS ~8000 MILES ON IT. THE ABS ACTIVATED WHILE NOT APPLYING THE BRAKES. WHEN I STEPPED ON THE BRAKES TO SLOW THE SPEED OF THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE TOOK MUCH LONGER TO SLOW DOWN AND OR STOP. AFTER WHICH, THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. THE LIGHT THEN BEGAN TO COME OFF AND ON WITHOUT A PATTERN. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE ABS PUMP AND ABS CONTROL MODULE WERE REPLACED. THIS ISSUE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. IF THE CONDITIONS HAD BEEN DIFFERENT, THIS LOSS IN BRAKING COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
