Infotainment screen is delaminating causing it to randomly dial and call numbers, cannot control the climate control, cannot adjust settings, and renders the navigation unusable.
My ABS system has been experiencing intermittent failure, warning light comes on vehicle loses abs Also can’t align front end due to previous recall where dealership welded tie rod adjusting sleeve due to defect in lock nuts. Now vehicle eating front tires. How can a permanent fix remove a necessary adjustment. I understand welding as a temporary fix, until parts available to correct original factory defect. This is ridiculous
LT 275 / 70 R 18 (tire size) The sidewall of the tire is splitting/failing. In parallel with the bead.
2008 RAM 3500 Laramie Longhorn with 20,000 miles flashing warning messages on front display repeatedly reading : "Service Antilock Breaking System" and "Service Electronic Break System". I am not sure why is doing this. I researched on the internet and it looks like its a common issue and several individuals had broght trucks in to replace parts and systems. I believe the parts replaced in those instances were: 68437098AB- Module Anti Lock Brake System, 68143491AA- Control Anti Lock Brake System. My truck still under full warranty.
The ABS Anti lock lights came on and says check Electrical Brake System. Dealer said The ABS anti lock brake pump assembly was bad and it was on me to replace it. This is a big safety Issue to me. I got a 2018 3500 ram and paying big money for a truck and my safety, there should be a recall before some people get kill.
abs trac control going crazy dealer repaired under warranty about 15k drove approx 2k and same issue no longer under warranty tried to buy parts none available. truck doesn't start correctly when the lights are on and when driving there is a dinging as lights flash on and off.
The Eagle simulators on my truck keep coming off I hear it’s been an issue lately with these model truck it’s going to cost me over 350$ dollars plus labor for them to be put on and all the other recalls on the truck it’s been a big hassle for the dodge place to get parts to fix’s all of my recalls now this keeps happening with my wheels. Who do I contact about fixing my simulators thank you for your help look forward to hearing from you
Dodge RAM put out a Recall V06 to inspect / weld the drag link adjuster sleeve for the steering. I was lead to believe that a new replacement adjuster sleeve would be coming that would not require being welded, once those parts were available, we could have the adjuster sleeve replaced that was welded. Here is the issue, EVERY TRUCK that has had the adjuster sleeve welded has to have those welds ground off when an alignment is done and then REWELDED at the cost to the customer. That doesn't seem right or fair, I'm told there is a new part available for the proper repair but the customer has to purchase this at around $400.00. Why should the customer have to pay $159 to have the adjuster sleeve that was welded per a safety issued recall UNWELDED to have an alignment done and then rewelded. Alignments are a maintenance issue and this cost should not be stuck to the owner of the vehicle, I feel Dodge Ram should be replacing these welded sleeves with the new part available at NO cost to the customer so future alignments can be performed as normal. [XXX] AEP / PSO American Electric Power - Public Service Co. of Oklahoma We have a fleet of these vehicles that had this recall done. Anti-Lock Braking system and Electronic Braking system, service system warning come on and off randomly all the time. When this happens, cruise control does not work. Had it replaced at the dealership once and It started doing the same thing. Took it back and they said they didn’t know what was wrong with it And that they didn’t want me thinking they didn’t want to do warranty work. The warnings were coming on and off more frequent. Don’t know what to do. Do you have any suggestions? This is a safety concern for me.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the brakes failed to operate properly while driving. The contact stated that the ABS warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the ABS module and ABS pump was replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage 16,000.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated that the service electronic braking system message was displayed. While the error message was displayed, the cruise control disengaged. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Action Number: PE22012 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH with the cruise control engaged and towing a trailer, the vehicle drove over a bump in the roadway and the ABS warning light illuminated and the vehicle independently decelerated to 35 MPH. The accelerator pedal was depressed, and the vehicle returned to normal functionality. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent at first but had become a recurring failure while driving over bumps in the roadway. The contact stated the failure persisted whether towing a trailer or not. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer however, the failure could not be duplicated. The dealer replaced the ABS and ACU electrical control module. The vehicle was repaired, however the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: PE22012 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.
While driving, the passenger-side rear wheel separated from the vehicle. All of the wheel studs were fractured off at the wheel mounting surface of the hub.
The abs system started malfunctioning after driving through heavy rain. Seems to be worse after the truck has warmed up. I have searched this problem and believe this should be a recall. How long before someone gets hurt or dies because of this problem?
What component or system failed or malfunctioned? Intermittent failure of the electronic braking system. Audible Warning tone and indication ‘Service Electronic Braking System’ followed by ‘Service Antilock Braking System’ experienced intermittently. The multiple warnings automatically disabled the antilock brakes, stability control, and cruise control as well as producing annoying audible tone. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I pull a Travel trailer loaded with our life's possessions and obviously my immediate family is with me. I cant trust or rely on my breaking system to stop my vehicle and trailer, Its a complete hazard to drive the vehicle on the road. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I dropped my truck off today for a diagnostic to check the ABS issue and the dealer wants to charge me $199.00 + tax to verify this WELL KNOWN issue. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Not at this time 3/20/23 Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There were no prior warning to the ABS failure, it simply started "dinging" and throwing the ABS failure warning on the IDC.
For thousands of miles and almost 2 years, my ABS constantly warns, then resets, then warns that service is required. Dealers across the country scan my truck and find code C0020-01 ABS PUMP MOTOR GENERAL FAILURE. This part has not been available for over 18 months and every dealer has said they have dozens of customers needing the same part/repair. Nationwide forums show this to be an ongoing issue with faulty parts, yet Stellantis has not issued a recall, nor have they provided any sort of remediation. Several have "off the record" suggested pulling the ABS PUMP fuse to provide temporary relief from the constant alarming of a bad part.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the electronic braking system warning light illuminated and chimed, causing the cruise control to become inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000. The VIN was unavailable.
Electronic Braking System failure. ABS lights come on the dash, chimes constantly and disengages the cruise control. The vehicle looses ability to use ABS. Ability to control vehicle safely when ABS disengages is a critical failure. I'm told by the dealer that NO parts available from the manufacture to cure this issue. This is an unacceptable answer to a known issue for years. Many RAM owners have complained about this on RAM related forums and on YouTube. I am adding my vehicle to list of vehicles impacted by this catastrophic failure to create a safe vehicle to drive. Why has the NHTSA not fined RAM and forced a recall? How many people have to die from ABS braking failure to qualify for a recall? I don't want to be the last death before something is done to make my truck safe to drive.
The ABS warning system is constantly going off with dash warning lights and alarm, it turns off cruse control when this happens. The truck is unsafe with out the abs working and dangerous because it will turn off the cruse when the error is displayed causing unexpended deacceleration. This happens when ever the veh is driven over and over. I took it to the local ram dealership. They told me that they can not figure out what the issue is......They told me I have to leave the truck at the dealership for a week at my expense (gas and insurance and they would not be responsible for damage) so they could drive it around and "test" it they were very unhelpful, they said they never ran across this issue prior. They were very stubborn on the actual issue and would not answer questions In the mean time the dealer attempted to sell me an oil change and oil filter change for close to $1000.00 that they were very insistent on. (with less that 3000 miles on the current oil and filter change) so this was unneeded. They were using the fault to upsell service and no attempt to correct it.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated while his neighbor was driving the vehicle at an undisclosed speed, the cruise control disengaged unintendedly. The ABS warning light and the traction control warning light were illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the failure had recurred while driving 65 MPH and while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the HCU had failed and needed to be replaced; however, the part was on a national backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure persisted while driving. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure through email. The failure mileage was approximately 6,500.

The service ABS message was displayed. The contact stated that the ParkSense rear sensor message was displayed. The local dealer was contacted, but was unable to repair the vehicle due to parts unavailability. The contact called other local dealers, Huffines Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM Lewisville (1024 S Stemmons Fwy, Lewisville, TX 75067( and Klement Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM (3520 US-287, Decatur, TX 76234), but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was called, but there was no answer. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.
UConnect 8.4 Screen Delamination - The integrated radio/communication/vehicle functions module screen is delaminating on a vast number of vehicles. The repair according to RAM dealerships is a complete replacement of the screen and the controller at a cost of nearly $2000 per vehicle. While initially most believe this to be a radio issue the systems are integrated to multiple functions of the vehicle including: front and rear cameras, front and rear parking sensors, ride height controls, HVAC controls, seating controls, and a number of other systems. It also includes access to a number of phone systems including emergency calling. Due to the integrated nature of this equipment a major recall should be conducted on affected systems and also a forced reimbursement to owners of vehicles that have had to pay out of pocket for repairs or diagnostics. In addition, the delamination seems to be causing a leaking substance to drip down into other controls such as the Exhaust Brake, Trailer Brake Controls, and other physical buttons. It is my belief this is becoming a safety issue as the delamination is causing phantom key presses on various systems including setting volume of audio at 100% randomly.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated that the ABS warning light was illuminated, and the cruise control mode was inoperable. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal, the brakes made an abnormal rumbling sound as if the brakes were applied at an abnormally faster rate. The contact stated that the traction control had failed intermittently, causing the tires to spin on wet pavement. The vehicle was taken to the dealer it was purchased from. The dealer replaced the hydraulic control unit; however, the failures recurred approximately 4 years later. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic), and the vehicle was then taken to another dealer, Foss Motors(133 Portsmouth Ave, Exeter, NH 03833) for the recall repair; however, the dealer informed the contact that the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact was advised that there would be a charge for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.
Intermittent Antilock Brake Sysyem and Service Electronic Braking System warnings. Vehicle has 49,500 miles. There is a STAR service bulletin issued,
ABS Control Module and/or Wheel Speed Sensors is causing the abs warning light and traction control module light to go on and off intermittently for over a year causing the cruise control to not engage or to disengage…
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated that the ABS and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The contact who is a certified mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the ABS module had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, a message indicating a brake failure was displayed, and that the vehicle needed to be serviced was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the HCU had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired at the owner’s expense; however, the failure persisted. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic), which the contact related to the failure; however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was contacted for reimbursement but denied reimbursement because the contact did not have the original receipt of the repair that was previously performed on the vehicle. The contact provided a letter, and documents provided by the dealer, that confirmed that the repair was performed at the owner's expense. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.
The Bosch CP4 fuel pump internally disintegrated sending metal shavings throughout the fuel system. On the highway accelerating out of a toll both without warning, the truck lost almost all acceleration power and began to shudder. There weren't any preexisting warning lamps or messages. Any time after that when accelerating up to highway speeds quickly or attempting to maintain highway speeds the truck would lose acceleration and begin to shudder. When I took it to a mechanic, they informed me the CP4 fuel pump had "grenaded" and the whole fuel system needed to be replaced. If this had happened when merging into traffic or crossing at an intersection, I could have been hit because I couldn't accelerate as needed. The manufacturer (Ram) is aware of the malfunction and has issued recalls for the 2019 and 2020 years, but not 2018s which have the same exact part. The repairs have been completed on the truck and I have copies of the invoice.
ABS pump module failed with vehicle under 25K miles. Pump failed prematurely and failed while I was driving, disabling my ABS brakes. The ABS lights and check engine light did light up, it has since been replaced and there is no recall on this issue. Seems to be a common issue with FIAT Chrysler cars.
My ABS and Traction control warning lights and Chime continue to come on and off while driving. Replaced the anti brake Hydraulic Brake Controller two years ago and now the same problem. I read that there are quite a few of the same model trucks having the same problem!
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500 equipped with Nexen Tires, Tire Line: Roadian HTX, Tire Size: LT235/80/R17, DOT Number: 8EX6. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the contact noticed the vehicle was bouncing while driving. The contact was able to continue driving to work. After exiting the vehicle, the contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that a bubble had started to form on the front driver’s side tire. Additionally, the contact became aware of tread separation on the tire. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer who inspected the vehicle and offered to replace the tires with new tires. The contact declined and informed the dealer that he would seek assistance from the tire manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 27,362.
The 8.4 u Connect Radio is delaminating and randomly calling people and switch to things on the screen randomly it’s a safety issue because it’s a distraction for the driver and could cause other electrical damage I haven’t taken it to a dealer because I already know the answer it’s up to me to replace it until the company takes ownership of there problems
The uconnect 8.4 navigation screen is delaminating. This could become a safety issue if the screen continues to melt and drip glue on the traction control, trailer brake control, parking sensors, as well as can be distracting to the driver if the screen changes on its own. It can also cause the rear view camera to turn on and cause a motion picture to be displaying while the vehicle is in constant motion. The screen has been inspected by a third party and is in need of replacement which costs over $1000. The cause is a faulty part that is not made properly and causes it to prematurely separate from the lcd screen.
At 40000 miles my service brake light has come on. This a bad HCU and according to multiple site is on thousands of HD trucks Cost to repair is 1500 fo a safety piece of equipment I ha replace 400 in sensors already and now unless our a Ram dealer you cannot buy he piece to replace
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated while driving approximately 70-75 MPH with the cruise control engaged, the cruise control independently deactivated and the vehicle decelerated. The “Service ABS” message was displayed. The contact continued to drive and after driving over a bump in the roadway, there was a dinging sound detected and the message disappeared. The contact called the local dealer, and the vehicle was taken to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the ABS pump needed to be replaced; however, the part was not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was referred to the local dealer for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 17,593.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and traction control warning lights were illuminated intermittently. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 26,000.
ABS Code C0020-01-ABS PUMP MOTOR CONTROL - GENERAL ELECTRICAL FAILURE
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated that the brake failure and traction control malfunction warning lights were illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the ABS system was replaced. The contact stated that after the repair was completed, whenever the contact depressed the brake pedal, the pedal was spongy. The ABS and traction control warning lights were again illuminated. The contact stated that a certified mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the hydraulic control unit had failed and needed to be replaced. The local dealer was notified of the failure but was unable to repair the vehicle due to the parts not being available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the ABS warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who replaced the brakes, but the failure recurred. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The local dealer was contacted ten times, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted on five occasions, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 56,843.
The contact owns a 2018 RAM 3500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle experienced random electrical failures related to the MY TOUCH home screen. The contact stated that the vehicle would independently call random phone numbers including the SOS help button, as well as the local police station’s number stored in the contact's phone. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed him that because his home screen had started to delaminate, this failure was a known result on several model vehicles. The contact also called the dealer and they acknowledged that the failure was a known issue and was given an estimate for the repair. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.
Service ABS light intermittent flashing and error code when checked. ABS is a safety issue that SHOULD not be defective at 40K miles. The ABS does NOT always work in inclement conditions such as rain, snow. When towing a 15K lb fifth wheel ram should FIX these issues as seen on many online communities
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed, and the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that he depressed the brake pedal with excessive force and the pedal went to the floorboard with the ABS warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the ABS module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
No antilock brakes for 3 years. The parts have been on back order for 3 years and still no sign of when be in. Always in back of mind if brakes will work or not when trying to stop truck.
The abs and tc lights came on and beeped. The message board said service abs. The brake pedal became spongy and unresponsive. I called a dealership and they stated they have changed a bunch of hydraulic brake pumps on the ram pickup especially this year model. I asked is this a safety problem? After hesitation he said yes. My other ram is doing the same thing and I know of another 2018 a friend had changed at 10,000 miles.
Front passenger side tire had large ballon form on inside sidewall causing uneven rolling. LT 235/80/17. Luckily I wasnt hauling my 5th wheel Toyhauler when this developed I imagine the rest of the tires on the vehicle are faulty as well. Lives are at risk with these tires on my vehicle
The abs system has failed on my truck and many more possibly by a dealer defect and no recall as of now. When the abs warning light comes on it also puts up a warning light for the electronic braking system and you aren’t allowed after that to set the cruise. Anytime you hit a bump or turn the wheels or just randomly at any given time the lights come up on the dash and it chimes which will drive anyone nuts. With the electronic braking system not functioning properly could potentially lock the brakes up on the truck in my opinion knowing how it functions. Which in my opinion is a safety hazard. Also I might add that taking my vehicle to my local dealership is a complete waste of time as the diesel mechanic up there is terrible at his job. He has misdiagnosed two of my trucks and I believe he had something to do with a transmission going out in one. He “fixed” it then 3000 miles later the transmission completely destroyed itself which made me have to trade the truck in. Also the traction control system does not function when the abs light is on. In doing research I have found many many people with this same problem.
8.4" Uconnect display is now bad. It changes every mode of truck as a "ghost touch" and is a severe distraction while driving-climate, music volume, stations, cameras, sensors. It is a widely known problem involving the screen digitizer and nearly every FCA vehicle having the 8.4" screen fails-Ram, Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler.
2018 Dodge 3500 ABS light came on and disabled cruise control functions. Took to dealer and another 3rd party, both said replacement of ABS module was only solution to fix. Fairly expensive fix. It first happened around 60,000 miles sometime in 2021 and now at 80,000 miles it no longer functions. No recall appears to exist but it is a problem.
