On December 23, 2025, a 2023 RAM ProMaster 2500 Van used as a commercial fleet delivery vehicle in [XXX] suffered an engine compartment fire. The vehicle was declared a total loss by the insurance carrier. At the time of the fire, the vehicle was subject to open Safety Recall 25V-720 / Manufacturer Recall 67C, issued by FCA US LLC for a defective cooling fan module with premature bearing wear and inadequate fuse protection on the 400W fan circuit — the exact defect identified as a known fire risk. No remedy was available at the time of the incident. The interim recall notification letter had been received but the vehicle could not be repaired as FCA had not yet developed or made available a fix. The vehicle was inspected by insurance representatives and declared a total loss. No warning lamps or prior symptoms were observed before the fire occurred, consistent with NHTSA's own warning that affected vehicles may fail suddenly with no prior dashboard alert. The component believed to have failed is the cooling fan module. It is unknown whether the component remains available for inspection as the vehicle has been transferred to the insurance carrier as part of the total loss settlement. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Camping World, Freedom Roads LLC did not complete NHTSA Manufacturer Recall Number 66B NHTSA Recall Number 24V-436 prior to delivery on or about August 8th, 2024 and did not inform me of this recall. Unacceptable! I am scheduled to complete recall at a Ram dealership on 12/10/2024.
From purchase the UConnect system has faulted out and have effected items like Navigation, etc but wasn't a real problem. On 7/18 I had my dealer perform recall # 66B/NHTSA 24V-436 On 7/20 the UConnect system began faulting out but this time it started Disabling the Automatic Emergency Braking while driving, Disabled the parking brake when it was set, Indicated that various lights were not working when they were. The dealership worked on it extensively with the Corp service system reflashing the system, etc and it worked Ok for about 100 miles when the above problems have all started again. I have reviewed several social media sites and notice the UConeect system is very problematic. I am concerned most about the UConnect system turning off what I consider very important safety functions and while this seems to be a long ongoing problem RAM CORP SERVICE doesn't seem to be able to correct it The local Dealership has been great to work with but can only do what CORP tells them to do
1:MPH randomly changes to KM/h on the instrument panel and Uconnect radio settings. 2: Automatic Parking brake keeps re-enabling on the Ucconect radio settings when it has been set to disabled. 3.SiriusXM radio starts back at station 1 XM Preview when van is started up. 4. Van will sometimes lock automatically by itself without permission with the vehicle off. 5. Other: No matter what settings I set the vehicle at overtime they keep reverting back to whatever they were originally at. 6. Soft reset and Hard reset were performed with no prevail and issues are still present. No software updates are available as well.
