The car doesn't always want to release the key. I have to stick my finger up in the column to push the little button to release it which is not convenient at all. It seems to do it if the wheels aren't completely straight. But still even with the steering wheel straight, sometimes it wont come out if its on a slight hill. Ive had a new key made and it makes no difference, no check engine light and auto technician said the ignition looks fine. Ive read tons of reports like this on the 2004 saturn ion 2-why isn't this being addressed?
Airbags did not deploy
The drivers side windshield wiper linkage failed at the junction of the metal rod and the plastic wiper mount causing the wiper to stop working. And the wiper arms are almost impossible to remove, even with a puller. Obviously this condition is a safety issue, and other GM vehicles have been recalled for the same issue. Why not the 2004 Saturn Ion?
The contact owns a 2004 Saturn Ion. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, excessive force was needed to maneuver the steering wheel on several occasions. The power steering assist warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that he replaced the electric power steering motor; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer or independent mechanic for additional diagnostic test or repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
My car started getting a strong odor of gas. A fuel pipe leak is causing the odor
THE FUEL PUMP IS LEAKING, GM REFUSES TO FIX IT BECAUSE THE VIN ISN'T ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECALL, BUT THE SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL OF MY CAR SAYS IT HAS A RECALL FOR THE FUEL SYSTEM AND PUMP.
POWER STEERING STICKS. I TAKE A 55MPH CURVE AND THE STEERING WHEEL DOESN'T COME BACK TO CENTER. IT WANTS TO TAKE ME OFF THE ROADWAY.
FUEL LEAK ON REAR DRIVER SIDE WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING WHILE CAR IS STATIONARY. IT MAY HAVE HAPPENED BEFORE THE DATE AND MILEAGE STATED BELOW BUT THAT'S WHEN I FIRST NOTICED THE FUEL LEAK.
Hi I am a kind of new owner of an 04 saturn ion, this is actually the second complaint I've filled out. Last July I had a mechanic friend look at my fuel filter and he had said the fuel line needed to be cut off becuase of how rusted on to the original fuel filter I'd got it with was and I didn't believe him so I replace it myself and when I got it off I had cleaned up the metal fuel line the best I could and put a new filter on. Well now it leaks gas right where the hook up is and very strong fuel smells come from there too, I've gotten numerous comments about how un safe that is to be driving it but I need to have a way to work and then someone had mentioned to check for recalls and I seen on there that this car did have a recall for faulty fuel filter gas lines. If you could get back to me as soon as possible about an inspection if needed or whatever else you'd need on my behalf. Please and thank you for your time
TRIED TAKING FUEL FILTER OFF LAST JULY TOOK A WHOLE WEEKEND OF USING PENATRATING OIL AND FREEZE OFF THEN I FINALLY GOT THE TABS TO COME LOOSE, I THOUGHT MAYBE I MESSED UP THE NEW FILTER OR DIDNT GET ENOUGH RUST OFF THE FUEL LINE AND THAT'S WHAT WAS CAUSING THE STRONG SMELL OF GAS ND POOR PERFORMANCE BUT CHANGED IT AGAIN AND STILL THAT SAME PROBLEM BUT NOW THERES A LEAK. THE CAR WAS ON BACK TIRE RAMPS THE GIRL FUEL FILTER CHANGE THEN THE 2ND ONE WAS DONE WITH A HOIST AND CURRENTLY THIS CAR IS THE ONLY THING I CAN COUNT ON TO MAKE IT TO WORK, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND CONSIDERATION.

THE CONTACT TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED. ADDITIONALLY, THE WINDOWS ROLLED UP AND DOWN INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL FUEL OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED HOWEVER, THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE LOCAL DEALER TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 172,639.
WE HAVE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE REMOVING THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION THE PAST FEW DAYS. AS I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED THEN MADE A LOUD POPPING SOUND. NOW THE STEERING WHEEL JUST SPINS IN A COMPLETE CIRCLE AND DOES NOT TURN THE WHEELS. I WAS IN MOTION IN A PARKING LOT.

THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE OR RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 244,000.
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2004 SATURN ION 1 FROM A PRIVATE PARTY. I WAS NOT AWARE THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON THE THE ELECRTIC POWER STEERING ASSIST. THE DEALER IN MY AREA SAYS THE RECALL HAS EXPIRED AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO FIX IT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR MAY 2019 USED EVERY DOLLAR I HAD TO BUY IT. IM A SINGLE MOTHER OF 4, I LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN THERE IS NOTHING FOR JOBS HERE. I WORK PART TIME AT A FAST FOOD RESTURANT AND CAN BARLEY AFFORD TO FEED MY FAMILY. I JUST SPENT 2000.00 ON THIS CAR AND CANT RISK DRIVING IT NOW THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE. I HAVE KIDS TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO SCHOOL AND A JOB TO REPORT TO EVERYDAY I NEED MY CAR FIXED ASAP.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,800.
WHEN PLACING THE VEHICLE IN PARK, IT WILL NOT ALWAYS REGISTER THAT IT IS PARK; THEREFORE, IT WILL NOT RELEASE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS OF MOVING THE GEAR SHIFT FROM DRIVE TO PARK, IT WILL EVENTUALLY ALLOW THE KEY TO BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION. IT STARTED WITH JUST A FEW DAYS A WEEK, BUT IS NOW HAPPENING AT LEAST ONE TIME A DAY.

THE VEHICLE SEIZED AND THE ENGINE FAILED TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 147,000.
WHEN THE KEY IS IN THE OFF POSITION AND REMOVED FROM THE CAR THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH STAY ON. CAR IS PARKED WHEN THIS HAPPENS.
THE STEERING WHEEL JUST STOPPED. IT STIFFENED UP AS IF THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING NEARLY CAUSING ME TO CRASH. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO ASK THEM TO CONSIDER REPAIRING THE PROBLEM BASED UPON THE FACT THAT THERE ARE SO MANY (400,000 SATURN IONS ON THE ROAD) COMPLAINING OF THE SAME PROBLEM. GMC TOLD ME THAT SINCE THE VEHICLE HAS NO RECALL; THEY COULD NOT REPAIR MY CAR.
WHILE ON A NEIGHBOR HOOD DRIVING AT APPROX. 35 MPH I STEERING WHILE WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN AND THEN LOCKED ITSELF IN STRAIGHT POSITION. IT IS PARKED NEXT TO HOME ON CITY CURB SIDE.
THE POWER STEERING STOPS WORKING WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING WITHOUT NOTICE .WHEN YOU ARE TRUNING IT IS HARD,ALSO THE BEARING AND STRUTS ARE ALSO VERY RUFF.ALMOST HAD A WRECK WHEN TURING

THE STEERING ABILITY WAS LOST AND THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED, BUT WAS NOT TOTALED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED ALL STAR CHEVROLET OF OLIVE BRANCH AT 678-829-0246 (LOCATED AT 7240 CRAFT-GOODMAN RD, OLIVE BRANCH, MS 38654) AND WAS INFORMED TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOP. THE CONTACT ASKED THE TECHNICIAN TO ASSIST WITH TOWING, BUT THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT HELP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.
2004 SATURN ION 2.2/4 ENGINE STARTED SMELLING GAS FUEL LINE ISSUES FOUND ... OTHERS HAVING SAME ISSUE THERE ARE RECALLS BUT ONLY ON CERTAIN VIN #S 107,000 MILES HOW MANY CARS BEFORE NATION WIDE RECALL ??!!
WHEN STOPPED AT EITHER A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR STOP SIGN, ONCE I TAKE MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE AND PLACE IT ON THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR HESITATES LIKE IT'S GASPING FOR GAS HOWEVER, THE GASPING ONLY HAPPENS FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN THE CAR DRIVES NORMALLY! WHAT IS STUMPING ME, WHY DOES THE NEW PROBLEM ONLY HAPPEN INTERMITTINGLY! I JUST HAD A REBUILT TRANSMISSION INSTALLED BACK IN MARCH OF 2018 BECAUSE THE CAR ORIGINALLY HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING INTO GEAR! I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO AAMCO, THE PLACE THAT INSTALLED THE REBUILT TRANSMISSION AND ADVISED THEM THAT MY CAR WAS ACTING UP AGAIN WITH A NEW PROBLEM. BECAUSE THE NEW PROBLEM HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY, THERE ARE NO ERROR CODES SHOWING FOR THE MECHANIC TO GIVE A DIAGNOSIS OF THE NEW PROBLEM. I AM SO FRUSTRATED BECAUSE THE CAR WAS MY FIRST CAR AND BEING RETIRED AND ON A FIXED BUDGET ANOTHER CAR ISN'T SOMETHING I CAN INVEST IN!
I PURCHASE THIS CAR ON 04/12/2018 FROM A LOCAL DEALER, EVERYTHING WORKED FINE, UNTIL 2 DAYS LATER. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN SUDDENLY THE STEERING BECAME HARD TO TURN. I THEN PARKED THE CAR FOR A FEW DAY WHEN I STARTED IT UP STEERING WORKED ALRIGHT FOR ABOUT A HALF MINUTE, THE STOPPED WORKING AGAIN.
WHEN CAR IS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY, I HAVE TROUBLE REMOVING KEY FROM IGNITION. I DO NOT KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING.
THE CAR ONCE AGAIN ACCELERATED AT A STOP SIGN AND I HAD TO AIM FOR A SNOE ENBANKMENT TO NOT GO INTO TRAFFIC. IF NOT FOR THE SNOW I COULD HAVE WENT ON TO THE SIDEWALK ANS POSSIBLY HIT SOMEONE.
THE CAR STARTED TO ACCELERATE INTO CROSSING TRAFFIC WITH MY FEET FIRMLY ON THE BREAKS. IT HAPPENED THREE TIMES.
I'VE HAD SEVERAL TIMES WHERE MY CAR WASN'T AS STABLE AS IT SHOULD BE. THE CAR ITSELF RUMBLES AND JERKS A LOT ON CITY STREETS AND AS I GET OFF THE HIGHWAY. IN THE PAST THERE'S BEEN A FEW ISSUES WITH THE BREAKS. DURING WINTER TIME, THE CAR WON'T START UP (I HAVE A NEW BATTERY NOW AND IT STILL HAPPENS). ACCELERATION IS OCCASIONALLY DELAYED. LASTLY THERE'S A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR WHICH CONTINUES FROM THE TIME THE KEY IS IN THE IGNITION UNTIL I TAKE IT OUT.
TAKATA RECALL 2004 SATURN ION. WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WITH FOOT ON THE BRAKE (FOOT COMPLETELY OFF THE GAS PEDAL AND GAS PEDAL WAS NOT STUCK ON ANYTHING), THE ENGINE REVVED WITHOUT WARNING (4000-4500 RPM, AND RPMS WOULD STAY ELEVATED AND WOULDN'T COME BACK DOWN TO A NORMAL IDLE) AND THE VEHICLE WAS ACCELERATING INDEPENDENTLY. MY BRAKES KEPT CAR FROM MOVING, BUT IF YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, THE CAR WILL VIOLENTLY LAUNCH FORWARD. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE STOPPED AND WHILE DRIVING. WHILE DRIVING, RPMS WENT TO 4000-4500, AND CAR STARTED ACCELERATING ON ITS OWN, EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT WAS OFF THE GAS PEDAL. AGAIN, RPM'S STAYED ELEVATED AND WOULD NOT COME BACK DOWN. THE FAILURE HAS RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING ON 12/28/2017. THE TECHNICIAN CLEANED THROTTLE BORE AND REPLACED THE MAP SENSOR, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. SINCE MY VISIT TO MECHANIC, I'VE HAD THREE MORE INCIDENTS. TWO TIMES WHILE DRIVING, RPM'S WENT UP TO 4000-5000 RPM AND WOULDN'T LOWER. HAD TO PULL OVER SHUT CAR OFF, WAIT SEVERAL MINUTES AND TURN CAR BACK ON. ALSO, IT WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP BECAUSE THE CAR WAS ACCELERATING AND WANTED TO MOVE FORWARD, SO ONCE I WAS SLOWED DOWN, I PUT CAR IN IDLE, PRESSED BRAKE UNTIL STOPPED, THEN SHUT CAR OFF. I TRIED TO TURN CAR BACK ON 10 SECONDS LATER, AND RPMS WERE STILL 4-4500. SHUT CAR OFF AGAIN, WAITING 2-3 MINUTES, TURNED CAR BACK ON AND IT APPEARED 'NORMAL.' THIS IS THE MOST DANGEROUS AUTO ISSUE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCE AND EVER HEARD OF.

THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE LOCAL DEALER (PELLAGRINO CHEVROLET IN WESTVILLE, NJ) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A SERVICE APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO NOTIFIED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED IN NOVEMBER OF 2011 PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 SATURN ION. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY MALFUNCTIONED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. IN ADDITION, "POWER STEERING" DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,000.
IN PARKING LOT ON LEAVING A STORE THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING MAKING IT VERY HARD TO DRIVE. NEXT I WENT TO A GAS STATION AND FILLED MY TANK. WHEN I LEFT THE STEERING WAS OKAY....THE DASH SYMBOL FOR POWER STEERING WAS NOT LONGER SHOWING. I LOST POWER STEERING ONCE BEFORE AND THE DEALER FIXED IT. (INVOICE INCLUDED) THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS REPAIRED AT MILEAGE 83,868. THE CURRENT ON HAPPENED AT MILEAGE 99,199. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT INVOLVED EITHER TIME. I HOPE THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN ON A CURVY ROAD WHICH IS NEAR OUR HOME. HAD THE STEERING GONE OUT ON THAT AT 35 TO 40 MPH I'M NOT SURE I COULD HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COPED WITH THE SITUATION. SURELY ONCE THE DASH LIGHT POWER STEERING COMES ON ONCE IT MEANS THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE SERVICED.
TOOK MY VEHICLE FOR INSPECTION IT PASSED SAFETY AND FAILED EMISSIONS ! THERE IS NO ENGINE CHECK LIGHT ON
UNABLE TO SHUT VEHICLE OFF. REPEAT TURNING SWITCH ON AND OFF EVENTUALLY SHUTS VEHICLE OFF AND ABLE TO REMOVE KEY. VEHICLE IS PARKED WHEN ATTEMPTING TO SHUT OFF. ENGINE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE RUNNING BUT UNABLE TO TAKE KEY OUT OF SWITCH. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON OR ABOUT YR 2012 TO CURRENT. DID NOT DRIVE VEHICLE AT ALL LAST YEAR (2016)

AFTER THE REPAIR AND WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK, THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY FAILED. THE CONTACT HAD TO MANEUVER THE STEERING WHEEL WITH EXCESSIVE FORCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY CAR HAS A STANDARD TRANSMISSION AND THE CLUTCH PEDAL ASSEMBLY FAILED CAUSING DANGEROUS AND DIFFICULT SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS. THE END OF THE CLUTCH PEDAL ASSEMBLY IS PLASTIC AND IT BROKE AT THE JUNCTURE WHERE IT MEETS THE TRANSMISSION. UNBELIEVABLY, GENERAL MOTORS (GM) KNEW OF THE PROBLEM BUT TOOK NO REMEDIAL ACTION. COMPLAINT LETTERS ON THE INTERNET CLEARLY SHOW GM HAS KNOWN ABOUT THE PROBLEM FOR AWHILE BUT TAKEN NO ACTION. IT COST ME $609.74 TO HAVE THE SAFETY PROBLEM FIXED. I REPORTED IT TO GM AND ASKED TO BE REIMBURSED. THIS IS DANGEROUS: I HAD GREAT DIFFICULTY SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS & ALMOST GOT RUN OVER BY OTHER MOTORISTS WHEN THERE WAS A DELAY IN LOCATING THE NEXT GEAR. GM SHOULD TAKE ACTION ON THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED.
I BOUGHT A 2004 SATURN ION 2.2L L4 (VIN: [XXX]) FOR MY SON 4 MONTHS AGO. IT IS NOW LEAKING A PUDDLE GASOLINE AFTER BEING SHUT DOWN. I LOOKED ON LINE AND THERE DOZENS OF OTHERS WITH THIS PROBLEM (PLEASE SEE ATTACHED) YET MY VIN IS NOT ON A RECALL LIST. CALLED SATURN 800.972.8876, THEY SAID IT WASN'T ON A RECALL LIST ALSO. SEAT BELTS DON'T WORK.WIND SHIELD WIPERS WERE BROKE@ TIME OF PURCHASE. MUFFLER PROBLEMS, RATTLES TOO..EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS NO GOOD&FIXED.BRAKE FAULTY,I PURCHASED NEW BRAKE PADS.TRANSMISSION IS FAULTY.CAR CONTINUOUSLY SHAKES.IT'S BEEN IN AND OUT OF SHOP SINCE I PURCHASED IT. TRANSMISSION ACCELERATION&GEAR SHIFT DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY OR SHIFT IN TIME. WINDOW IS OFF THE TRAP&WILL BRAKE IF I PUT IT ALL THE WAY DOWN..GAS LEAK. GAS LEAK=$30 A DAY SINCE PURCHASE. IGNITION LOCKS THE STEERING WHEEL&WON'T TURN WHILE DRIVING. KEY WILL NOT TURN.CAR WILL NOT START&NEEDS A NEW IGNITION. THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT WITH/IN 2WEEKS OF BUYING IT. I WAS ON THE ROAD&THE WHEEL LOCKED. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO TURN IT WITH ALL MY STRENGTH. I HAD TO REPLACE IT& IT'S AN ELECTRIC POWER STEERING WHEEL. BRAKE FLUID WAS SOLD DIRTY. OVERHEATING CONSTANTLY. FAN OVER RUNNING.TIMING BELT NEEDS CHECKED. BRAKES ARE SQUEAKING& SQUEALING&WHEN PUMPED SHOOT AIR, BRAKE PADS WERE CHANGED& BRAKE FLUID WAS CHANGED& IS CLEAR INSTEAD OF BLACK. ALL THESE PROBLEMS EXISTED@TIME OF PURCHASE.IT WAS SOLD AS IS.I'VE LOST TIME FROM WORK. I DID NOT KNOW IT'S BEEN RECALLED SEVERAL TIMES. GM &DEALER IS@FAULT. IT IS A LEMON. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 SATURN ION. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE CONTACT WAS STOPPED BY THE POLICE DUE TO THE SMELL OF FUEL AND SPARKS COMING FROM THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL LINE WAS RUSTED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE FAILURE.
TRANSMISSION IS BURNT. WHILE DRIVING THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS OUT OF GEAR. THE RPMS THEN REV AND THE CAR FAILS TO CONTINUE TO GO AT SPEED AND WILL NEED TO BE PULLED OVER. THIS ISSUE OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS AND ON HIGHWAYS. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 58499 MILES ON IT. THE VEHICLE WAS CHECKED AT AAMCO AND THEY SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS BAD AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
SOLD ME THIS CAR WITH WARRANTEE NEVER GUARANTEED THE WARRANTEE LATER ON ALSO DISCOVERED THERE WAS A WHOLE PATCH IN THE GAS TANK AND I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND I WAS AFRAID OF THEIR SAFETY AND RETURN THE VEHICLE TO THE LOT FOR SELLING ME A IN SAFE VEHICLE. THERE AND I WANT TO TAKE FAULT FOR THE VEHICLE PROBLEMS AND I WANT TO COVER THE WARRANTY THAT WAS PROMISED TO ME ON THE CONTRACT.
STRONG GAS SMELL & STARTED NOTICING POOR GAS MILEAGE AND IT GOT WORSE. THEN NOTICE IT IS LEAKING GAS BY THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE. ALSO THE RUNNING LIGHTS AUTOMATICALLY COME ON DURING THE DAY BUT NOT AT NIGHT.
1. THE IGNITION SWITCH WILL NOT DISENGAGE...SOMETIMES AFTER MOTOR IS TURNED OFF AND CAR IS IN PARK THE CAR MUST BE TURNED BACK ON FOUR OR FIVE TIMES BEFORE THE IGNITION WILL ENGAGE CORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY...IN THE PARK POSITION....KEY WILL LOCK INSELF AND NOT DISENGAGE. THE CAR WAS ON A CITY STREET WHEN THIS OCCURRED. IT BEGAN TO OCCUR FIVE MONTHS AGO...NOW IT HAPPENS AT LEAST TEN TIMES A WEEK. 2. ALL ELECTRICAL SYMBOLS ON DASHBOARD SAY: COOLANT...BUT WHEN CHECKED THE COOLANT IS FINE.

THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE EXTERIOR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT STOP FUNCTIONING ABOUT 2 MONTHS OR SO AFTER THE BULB WAS REPLACED, NOW IT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. THE PANEL INSIDE THE CAR HAD SHOWN ME THAT SAME TURN SIGNAL LIGHT HAD BEEN MALFUNCTIONING FOR SOME TIME BLINKING EXTREMELY FAST BACK TO NORMAL UNTIL IT FINALLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I CAN'T GET MY SAFETY CHECK DONE BECAUSE THE TURN SIGNAL LAMP IS INOPERATIVE. I WONDER IF A DRL JUMPER KIT NEEDS TO BE ADDED, CAN YOU PLEASE DIRECT ME? THE CAR WAS IN MOTION MAKING A LEFT TURN ON THE HIGHWAY.
AFTER THE CAR WAS LOOKED AT BY A CHEVY DEALER TO HAVE RECALLS PREFORMED AND THE FUEL LEAK LOOKED AT, THEY SAID, ON PAPER, "C/S FUEL LEAKING UNDER VEHICLE." "FUEL FEED LINE LEAKING FUEL,ACTIVE LEAK,DO NOT RECOMMEND TO DRIVE. REPLACE FOR $689.99 PLUS TAX CUSTOMER DECLINED." I DECLINED BECAUSE THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY, WHICH I WILL TAKE THEIR CAUTION AND NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE TILL IT CAN FIXED. I AM BRINGING THE CAR TO ANOTHER MECHANIC TO HAVE THEIR CLAIMS VERIFIED BY A NONE GM COMPANY. I LIVE IN NY, THEY USED TO USE SALTS ON THE ROAD WHICH MAY HAVE ATTRIBUTED TO THE ISSUE, THE CAR IS 12 YEARS OLD AT ONLY 62K MILES. DISAPPOINTING. CAR WAS BOUGHT USED. 1 MONTH AGO AT 61K MILES PRIVATELY, I ASSUME THE SELLER SOLD THE CAR DUE TO THE GAS LEAK AND DIDN'T INFORM ME.
