WHEN I START MY CAR I GET A MESSAGE THAT DAYS POWER STEERING SERVICE VEHICLE. THAT I LOOSE ALL DASH LIGHTS OCCASIONALLY RADIO AND AIR I DO NOT REGAIN POWER STEERING OR LIGHTS FOR ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES. I CAN HEAR A CHANGE IN THE ENGINE WHEN IT IS REGAINED. ONCE IT'S DONE I CAN DRIVE PERFECTLY NORMAL. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND OFF. WHEN I TURN MY CAR OFF THE LIGHTS ARE THERE DURING THE FIT AND OFF WHEN THE CAR IS ON. ALL THE CODES THROWN ARE ELECTRICAL. HELP! *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE ATTEMPTED TO GET THE VEHICLE REPAIRED BUT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. 2004 SATURN ION. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO FAULTY IGNITION PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THE IGNITION, IN THE 3 YEARS HE HAS OWNED THE VEHICLE. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE DEALER WOULD ALWAYS CLAIM, THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PASSLOCK SYSTEM. *JB

HER DAUGHTER LOST POWER AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. WHEN HER DAUGHTER HIT THE OTHER VEHICLE, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. HER DAUGHTER WAS INJURED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 SATURN ION. THE CONTACT SMELLED GASOLINE FUEL COMING FROM THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED A FUEL LEAK. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FUEL LINES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 ION SATURN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE NOTICED GASOLINE FUEL HAD SPILLED ON THE GROUND WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. THE CONTACT'S PERSONAL MECHANIC INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND THAT ONE OF THE FUEL LINES WAS CORRODED AND LEAKING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 172,000.

IN LATE MARCH I CALLED KELLY AUTOMOTIVE, THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT THE SATURN TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL REPAIRS. THEY SAID PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN A FEW WEEKS. I HAVE CALLED REPEATEDLY TO FIND OUT WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE WITH A FEW WEEKS. LATELY, THEY CLAIM I NEVER HAVE CALLED, THEN WHEN I TOLD THEM I WOULD FILE A COMPLAINT THEY FOUND MY REQUEST. THE LAST TWO CALLS, THEY WOULD LOOK INTO IT AND CALL BACK. I NEVER GET RETURN CALLS. I CONTACTED GM AND THEY SAID I HAD TO WORK IT OUT WITH THE DEALERSHIP. POWER STEERING TEMPORARILY LOCKED IN RIGHT TURN POSITION, DURING RIGHT HAND TURN, BUT WAS ABLE TO FORCE BACK IN TIME BEFORE HITTING OTHER CAR. STEERING IS STILL ACTING UP DURING NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS (ESPECIALLY COLD), WHEN TRYING TO RETURN WHEEL BACK TO STRAIGHT POSITION, WHEEL TIGHTENS UP AND NEEDS TO BE FORCED BACK. *TR
THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN OVER, I CALLED ROAD SIDE IN HOPES THAT THE BATTERY JUST NEEDED A JUMP, BUT WHEN THEY ARRIVED I FOUND OUT THAT THE CAR WAS NOT TURNING OVER BECAUSE OF ANOTHER REASON. MY FRIENDS CAME OVER AND WE POPPED THE CLUTCH AND DROVE IT TO A CAR REPAIR SHOP TO HAVE THEM TAKE A LOOK, I WAS THINKING EITHER THE STARTER OR THE ALTERNATOR. HE CALLED ME LAST NIGHT TO TELL ME TO CONTACT GM ABOUT THE RECALL ON THE IGNITION. THE IGNITION IS BAD AND WILL NOT TURN THE CAR OVER. *TR

THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO DRIVE WITH FORCE BEING APPLIED TO THE STEERING WHEEL. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000.
CAMPAIGN ID #14V-047 GM CASE#[XXX] RE: IGNITION SWITCH RECALL I WAS OFFERED A RENTAL CAR BUT GM IS NOT REIMBURSING THE COST OF INSURANCE FOR THE RENTAL. I CANNOT AFFORD NOR HAVE THE TIME TO ARGUE MY CASE WITH GM. THIS IS GM'S FAULT, THEY SHOULD BE REIMBURSING ALL COSTS INCURRED BY THIS RECALL. PLEASE ASSIST ME. AS I WAS DRIVING HOME ON THE FREEWAY ON A CLEAR DAY. I NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS HARD TO TURN WHEN I TRY TO CHANGE LANE. I THEN DECIDED TO PULL OVER AT THE FIRST EXIT. WHEN I SLOWED THE VEHICLE DOWN, IT WAS CLEAR THAT I HAD NO POWER STEERING. THERE WAS NO WARNING ON THE DASH CONSOLE AND NO AUDIO ALARM. FINALLY, I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTARTED THE CAR. THE POWER STEERING CAME BACK AND I MANAGED TO DRIVE THE CAR HOME. *TR

THEY KEY GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND SOMETIMES I CANT PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. MANY TIMES IF I CAN GET THE KEY IN AND TRY TO START IT THEN IT DOES NOTHING. I HAD THE CAR TOWED HOME AND THAT IS WHERE IT IS STILL SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY UNABLE TO START?? I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE TO TAKE MY CAR FOR THE RECALL REPAIRS, IS TOWING ALSO INCLUDED I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO KEEP PAYING TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED. *TR

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MALFUNCTIONED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 89,447. UPDATED 08/19/14*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED SHORTLY AFTER PICKING THE VEHICLE UP FROM THE DEALER, THEY KEY BECAME STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT TURN OFF ALL OF THE ELECTRICAL SWITCHES STARTED GOING HAYWIRE , ALONG WITH DIFFERENT WARNING SIGNS.. THE CONSUMER RETURNED TO THE DEALER, WHERE AN INSPECTION REVEALED THE SOLENOID WAS DAMAGED. A MONTH PRIOR, THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED. THIS IS REGARDING THE GM RECALLS FOR MY 2004 SATURN ION. AS OF JUNE 5, THE RECALL WORK UP TO THAT POINT WAS COMPLETED BY MY DEALER, BUT I HAD PREVIOUSLY PAID FOR THE REPAIR, SO AM DUE A REIMBURSEMENT FROM GM. MY DEALER TOLD ME TO PROVIDE THEM WITH THE DOCUMENTATION FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT AND THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF GETTING ME AN EXPEDITED REIMBURSEMENT. THAT DOCUMENTATION WAS DELIVERED TO MY DEALER ON JUNE 5TH, BUT THE DEALER HAS NO INFORMATION REGARDING MY REIMBURSEMENT, EVEN AFTER INQUIRING WITH THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES (JUNE 6TH, JUNE 18TH AND TWICE IN JULY), THE DEALER HAS NOT PROVIDED ME WITH *ANY* INFORMATION. I HAVE FAIRLY DETAILED INFORMATION REGARDING MY INQUIRIES AND THE RESPONSES (OR LACK OF RESPONSE) FROM THE DEALER. WHAT CAN I DO IN ORDER TO GET THE DEALER TO SUBMIT THE REIMBURSEMENT PAPERWORK ASSOCIATED WITH THIS RECALL? AS I WAS COMING UP TO A TRAFFIC CIRCLE, MY GEARS LOCKED UP AND POWER STEERING WENT OUT, RESULTING IN A CRASH INTO THE TRAFFIC CIRCLE MEDIAN, TOTALING THE FRONT OF MY VEHICLE. VEHICLE IS STILL IN THE SHOP AWAITING MAINTENANCE. *TR

THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER TWO TIMES AND LANDED UPSIDE DOWN. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A BODY SHOP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT NOTICES FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V047000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), AND 14V153000 (STEERING) AFTER THE CRASH OCCURRED. WHILE DRIVING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ON RT 95 CAR STALLED AND IT TOOK A FEW MINUTES TO RESTART. HAVE A TERRIBLE TIME STARTING THE CAR IN MORNING AND ITS NOT THE BATTERY AS ITS ABOUT YEAR OLD. I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THE COLD WEATHER BUT SOMETIMES IT STARTS SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T. I NEVER KNOW WHETHER ITS GOING TO START. WHEN THIS HAPPENS IT SOUNDS DEAD. I THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH. HAVE TALKED TO OTHER SATURN OWNERS WHO HAVE SAME PROBLEM AND THEY SAID A RELAY SWITCH CURED THE PROBLEM. *TR
MY FIANCE AND I WERE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ABOUT 40 45 MPH AND THE LIGHT UP AHEAD CHANGED YELLOW TO RED JUST BEFORE I COULD COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, MY CAR ACCELERATED I HELD BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKE AND THE CAR KEPT WANTING TO INCH FORWARD ITSEEMED AS IF I HELD THE GAS PEDAL DOWN TO THE FLOOR I GOT WITHIN 2 OR 3 FEET FROM THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME OUT OF INSTINCT I QUICKLY PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND SHUT IT OFF HAD I NOT I WOULD HAVE REAR ENDED THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME I THEN WAITED A MINUTE OR TWO TOPS PUT IT IN PARK AND STARTED IT, IT ACTED NORMAL I THOUGHT MAYBE THERE WAS AND OBJECT OR SOMETHING THAT MAY HAVE SLIPPED BY MY FEET WHILE DRIVING OR MY FLOOR MAT MOVED THERE WAS NOTHING THERE .THERE HAS BEEN OTHER TIMES LIKE RIGHT AFTER STARTING IT UP IT REVS TO THE HIGHEST RPM POSSIBLE AS IF ITS GOING TO BLOW UP I HURRY AND SHUT IT OFF WAIT A FEW MINUTES AND TRY AGAIN, AND ANOTHER TIME I DROVE ABOUT 2 MILES GOING DOWN THE ROAD AT 45 MPH AS IF I HAD CRUISE CONTROL ON WHEN MY CAR DOESN'T HAVE THAT FEATURE WHICH IS REALLY SCARY I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP THANK YOU *TR

DRIVING 60 MPH ON THE EXPRESSWAY, I WAS RUN OFF THE ROAD BY A SEMI TRUCK ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD. I HIT A HIGHWAY SIGN HEAD-ON. THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY, ALTHOUGH THE DAMAGE TO THE CAR WAS EXTENSIVE. THANKFULLY I HAD MY SEAT BELT ON, BUT SUSTAINED BRUISES. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND COULD NOT PROVIDE A REASONABLE TIME FRAME FOR WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN CAR ACCIDENT SHORTLY BEFORE RECALL WAS ISSUED. CUSTOMER NEEDS ASSISTANCE IN GETTING THIS MATTER RESOLVED. *TA THE CONSUMER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, IT SLID AND ROLLED OVER TWICE AND LANDED UPSIDE DOWN. ALSO, THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. AS I WAS DRIVING ON A STRAIGHT-AWAY, ALL OF THE SUDDEN I HEARD 3 DINGS IN MY CAR - SO I CHECKED THE DASHBOARD (I WAS EXPECTING TO SEE FUEL OR MAYBE OIL LIFE), IT READ PWR STR. THEN I NOTICED THAT IT WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STEER MY CAR...I HAD LOST MY POWER STEERING COMPLETELY. THE AMOUNT OF STRENGTH IT TOOK JUST TO TURN THE WHEEL WAS IMMENSE. DATE OF PURCHASE DEC. 27, 2013). *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED ON JANUARY 10, 2014, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. ROADSIDE SERVICE WAS CALLED, AND THEY CHARGED THE BATTERY. AS THE CONSUMER BEGAN BACKING OUT OF HER PARKING SPACE, SHE NOTICED THE VEHICLE SEEMED VERY STIFF; SHE DID NOT IMMEDIATELY NOTICE THE POWER STEERING SIGNAL AND CONTINUED TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE. SHE DROVE TO THE DEALER, ABOUT A MILE AWAY WITH POWER STEERING. WHEN SHE ARRIVED, SHE MENTIONED THE POWER STEERING ISSUE AND THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY. A FUSE WAS REPLACED, WHICH CORRECTED THE ISSUE, BUT ONLY TEMPORARILY. THE CONSUMER STATED THE POWER STEERING AND IGNITION PROBLEM WERE RESOLVED. HOWEVER, WITHIN THE PAST TWO WEEKS, SHE ENCOUNTERED ANOTHER PROBLEM. THEY KEY BECAME STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND WOULD NOT RELEASE. SHORTLY AFTER STARTING ON A VERY COLD WINTER DAY, AT LOW SPEED AND WITH THE BATTERY LIKELY LOW FROM STARTING THE CAR THE POWER STEERING WARNING CHIMED AND THE CAR BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT RECURRED SINCE THEN (EVEN A FEW HOURS LATER WITH THE CAR WARMED UP AND BATTERY FULLY CHARGED), BUT THE TEMPERATURE HAS BEEN SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER AND I REPLACED THE BATTERY WITH A BETTER ONE. THE BATTERY HAD TESTED GOOD AT THE LAST OIL CHANGE/SERVICE/INSPECTION, BUT WAS NEAR THE END OF ITS LIFE EXPECTANCY. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, SHE ATTEMPTED TO DEPRESS THE CLUTCH PEDAL BUT NOTICED THAT THE PEDAL HAD RAISED EIGHT INCHES FROM WHERE IT NORMALLY WAS, PREVENTING HER FROM SHIFTING GEARS. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE EVENTUALLY STALLED AND WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH PEDAL WAS FRACTURED. AS A RESULT, THE MASTER CYLINDER, SLAVE CYLINDER AND THE CLUTCH PEDAL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,362 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 79,810.

CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO IGNITION SWITCH RECALL NOTICE AND REQUESTS REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPAIRS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE/SHE EXPERIENCED ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE, PRIOR TO THE RECALL BEING ISSUED, BUT WAS ALWAYS TOLD THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. THE CONSUMER WAS ALMOST INVOLVED IN SEVERAL ACCIDENTS, DUE TO THE DEFECT. THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS EVENTUALLY REPLACED. *JB
SMELLED GAS LEAKING FOR A FEW WEEKS EVERY TIME WE WOULD FILL UP. JUST ASSUMED IT WAS SPILLAGE. FINALLY NOTICED DRIPS OF GAS UNDER CAR THEN A WHOLE TANK OF GAS ENDED UP ON MY DRIVEWAY. CAR WOULD ALSO INTERMITTENTLY NOT START, PRESUMABLY DUE TO FUEL LEAKAGE. HAD REPAIR DONE BY PRIVATE MECHANIC WHO DETERMINED FUEL LINES HAD COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH. SATURN SAYS NOT RESPONSIBLE DUE TO THE ORIGINAL RECALL ONLY INVOLVING A RUSTED FUEL FILTER, HOWEVER THIS WAS AN IMMEDIATE FIRE/SAFETY THREAT. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 14V153000 (STEERING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 135,000.
I WAS DRIVING INTO PARKING LOT AND ELECTRIC POWER STEERING WARNING WITH ALARM CAME ON THE READOUT ON THE DASH. AT THAT TIME IT HAD BECOME NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL IN ANY DIRECTION. IF ANYONE HAD BEEN CLOSE ENOUGH TO ME THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A COLLISION. I TURNED THE IGNITION OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN AND THE ELECTRIC STEERING RETURNED. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THE VEHICLE AND THIS INCIDENT PUT ME IN A PANIC MODE BECAUSE I AM PHYSICALLY DISABLED WITH DISABILITIES THAT AFFECT MY ARMS AND LEGS. TRYING TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN THE ELECTRIC STEERING FAILED CAUSED ME GREAT PAIN. 2004 SATURN ION. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING FAILURE. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED SHE FIRST STARTED HAVING FRONT SUSPENSION PROBLEMS, WHICH THE DEALER FIXED FREE OF CHARGE. THE EXHAUST WAS LEAKING AND SHE PAID TO HAVE IT REPLACED, ALONG WITH THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. ALSO, THE HORN STOPPED WORKING. THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A LETTER IN JULY 2012, FROM GM STATING THE WARRANTY WAS BEING EXTENDED BECAUSE THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING COULD FAIL. ON DECEMBER 16, 2013, THE POWER STEERING FAILED, AS THE CONSUMER WAS LEAVING A PARKING LOT. SHE HAD TO USE EXTRA FORCE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES, IT WAS BACK TO NORMAL. A TEST REVEALED, THERE WAS INDEED A FAILURE. WHEN THE CONSUMER CALLED GM, SHE WAS INFORMED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED ON 11/28/13 THE CONSUMER NO LONGER OWNS THE VEHICLE. UPDATED 02/5/14
TRANSMISSION FAILURE - SHORTLY AFTER THE 2004 SATURN ION HIT 100K MILES, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. I HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AT THE DEALER FOR A COST OF $4,620.93. IN DOING RESEARCH IT APPEARS THAT FAILING 2004 SATURN ION TRANSMISSIONS ARE WIDESPREAD AROUND THE 100K MILE MARK. *TR
APPROACHING CURVE IN ROAD WHEN STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN TO THE RIGHT. IT FELT COMPLETELY LOCKED, NOT JUST LOSS OF POWER STEERING, TO ME. I WAS ABLE TO STOP ON THE SHOULDER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD (FACING THE WRONG WAY) AND AFTER A FEW MINUTES, THE STEERING WORKED NORMALLY AGAIN. SINCE THAT TIME, IT HAS COME AND GONE A FEW TIMES, SOMETIMES WHEN I START THE CAR, IT FEELS LIKE THE MECHANICAL STEERING LOCK IS STILL ENGAGED, BUT AFTER SHAKING AND WIGGLING FOR A FEW MINUTES, IT USUALLY BEGINS TO WORK. SOMETIMES I CAN TURN ONE WAY, BUT NOT THE OTHER. IT SEEMS TO BE RANDOM WHETHER IT FAILS TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT. THERE IS POSSIBLE CORRELATION TO LOW TEMPERATURES, BUT I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH DATA TO BE CERTAIN OF THIS YET. *TR

MY SATURN 2004 ION HAS IGNITION PROBLEMS AND IT STARTED IN 2010 AFTER I GOT THE CAR AND MY KEYS WOULD GET STUCK AND THE POWER WOULD GO OUT IN MY SATURN. CAR WILL NOT START BECAUSE THE IGNITION WILL NOT READ THE KEY. IT TAKES 15 MINUTES JUST WAITING, WITH THE KEY OUT, THEN WHEN TRYING AGAIN IT DOES READ THE KEY AND THE CAR STARTS. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME AS IT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR THE LAST EIGHT (8) YEARS FOR ME WITH HUNDREDS OF OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM! I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO DEALERSHIPS AND GARAGE WORKERS. EACH PLACE SAYS THE CAR IS FINE, NOTHING WRONG. IT SEEMS THAT GM KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG SINCE 2003 AND GM LATER TOLD DEALERSHIPS SO DEALERSHIPS KNEW AND NO ONE DID ANYTHING. WELL, GM HAS FINALLY MADE THE STATEMENT THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE IGNITION SYSTEM AND KEYS - FINALLY. ONE BIG QUESTION IS WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FROM NHTSA TOO! NHTSA IS TO MAKE SURE PEOPLE ARE SAFE BUT YOU HAVE BEEN VERY "LATE" TOO. I BLAME BOTH GM AND NHTSA THAT IT HAS TAKEN TOO LONG. GM CAN BE FINED BECAUSE OF BEING LATE CORRECTING THE ERRORS. CAN NHTSA BE FINED FOR THE SAME REASON - LATE MAKING A COMPANY CORRECTING ERRORS! IT SEEMS THAT NO ONE WOULD LESSON TO THE DRIVERS AND/OR OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS - NOT GM AND NOT NHTSA.
