I WOULD LIKE TO REPORT AN ISSUE WITH WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE THE BRAKING SYSTEM IN THE 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK. WHILE DRIVING NORTHBOUND ON THE DALLAS NORTH TOLL WAY, AT A SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 65 TO 70 MPH, I TAPPED ON THE BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN FOR THE UPCOMING DECLINE. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO PUT MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR, THE CAR SUDDENLY AND ABRUPTLY STOPPED. IT WAS AS IF THE BRAKES "LOCKED", I WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE. WE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE TOLLWAY AND WERE UNABLE TO ACCELERATE THE CAR. WE WERE HIT FROM BEHIND. THE STOPPAGE WAS SO SUDDEN THAT IT RESULTED IN A THREE-CAR COLLISION. THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING AFTER THE COLLISION. THE POLICE OFFICER INSTRUCTED ME TO TRY TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE OFF OF THE ROAD, BUT DESPITE MY PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR, THE CAR WAS STILL UNABLE TO MOVE EVEN A SMALL DISTANCE. *DT *AS
WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED AT THE BASE OF THE WINDSHIELD, UNDER THE WIPER BLADE WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I WAS NOT FOLLOWING ANY VEHICLES SO A ROCK CHIP COULD NOT BE THE CAUSE. THIS IS POOR WINDSHIELD QUALITY AND DESIGN BY SUBARU.
THE CAR WAS NOT USED OVER THE WEEKEND EXCEPT FOR A 5 MILE TRIP TO CHURCH WHERE IT DID NOT ENCOUNTER ANY ROCKS, HITS, ETC. DROVE HOME AND THE CAR WINDSHIELD WAS FIND. THE NEXT MORNING WHEN I GOT INTO THE CAR, AFTER I USED MY REMOTE TO START AND WARM UP MY OUTBACK, THERE WAS ABOUT AN 8-10 INCH CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD THAT ORIGINATED FROM BEYOND THE WINDSHIELD WIPER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR. THE CRACK GREW WORSE TO ABOUT 12 INCHES. CALLED SUBARU DEALER WHO DIRECTED ME TO THEIR WINDSHIELD SERVICE AGENT. TOOK TIME OFF FROM WORK AND THEY INSTALLED OEM GLASS (INSURANCE COVERS THIS) AND CALIBRATED THE WINDSHIELD. AFTER DRIVING HOME, THE CAR MADE WIND TUNNEL NOISES, WINDSHIELD FLUID SYSTEM DID NOT WORK, NAVIGATION DID NOT WORK SO I BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALER (TOOK MORE TIME OFF FROM WORK). THEY FOUND A LEAK IN THE WINDSHIELD, REPAIRED THE FLUID UNIT AND IGNORED THE NAVIGATION ISSUE. THEY SENT ME BACK TO THEIR AGENT. THEY TOOK OUT THE WINDSHIELD REPOSITIONED IT AND SENT ME ON MY WAY. TODAY I FOUND PUDDLES OF WATER ON THE FLOOR OF MY CAR (LEAK), NAVIGATION DOES NOT WORK AND WIND TUNNEL NOISE IS STILL THERE. THIS WINDSHIELD IS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER AS EXTRA SUPPORT FOR THE ROOF, PREVENTION OF OBJECTS FLYING AT YOU AND ALLOW FOR THE EYESIGHT SYSTEM TO DO ITS JOB. THIS CAR IS ONE MONTH OLD AND THE CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD EXPERIENCE SOUNDS EERILY SIMILAR TO OTHERS' COMPLAINTS. WHEN YOU PAY THE MONEY FOR A TOP SAFETY PICK, YOU WANT THE SAFETY AND I DO NOT HAVE IT.
STEERING UNEXPECTEDLY NUDGES YOU TO ONE SIDE. CAR SEEMS TO TAKE CONTROL TEMPORARILY FROM THE DRIVER AND MAKES A CORRECTION TO THE LEFT OR THE RIGHT.
NAVIGATION SYSTEM FAILURE! I HAVE 3200 MILES ON MY 2019 OUTBACK AND SINCE DAY 1 HAVE HAD PROBLEMS USING THE NAV SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM FREEZES UP COMPLETELY CAUSING EVERYTHING NOT WORK RADIO BACK UP CAMERA ETC. SYSTEMS STAYS ON AT NIGHT DRAINING BATTERY. IT SPORADICALLY WORKS AND WORKS LESS AND LESS EVERY DAY HAD A DEAD BATTERY ALREADY ON A 2019 VEHICLE. *TR
2019 SUBARU OUTBACK 2.5I LIMITED. PURCHASED JANUARY '19. CAR WAS LOCATED BY DEALER AT OTHER DEALERSHIP AND DELIVERED LATE AT NIGHT WITHOUT OWNERS HAVING ABILITY TO TEST DRIVE. WITHIN ONE WEEK OWNERS NOTICED SEAT ISSUE AND CONTACTED DEALER IMMEDIATELY. DRIVER SEAT SLOPE ISSUE: DRIVER SEAT BASE SLOPES FROM LEFT DOWN TO RIGHT APPROX. 3/4"-1". PROBLEM NOTICED IN FIRST MONTH AFTER DELIVERY AND SUBARU WAS NOTIFIED. AREA DEALERS, SUBARU CORPORATE AND FACTORY FIELD ENGINEER (FFE) REFUSE TO PROPERLY CONFRONT/ DIAGNOSE/ REPAIR THE ISSUE. OWNER SHOWED SERVICE TECHNICIANS AND MANAGER AT DEALER USING A 1 FT' BUBBLE LEVEL THAT THE ISSUE IS EVIDENT. ALL SERVICE PERSONNEL HAVE ADMITTED TO OWNER THAT THEY SEE THE PROBLEM BUT REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THOSE FACTS IN THEIR SERVICE INVOICE STATEMENTS. SEAT SLOPE ISSUE CREATES AN UNSAFE DRIVING ENVIRONMENT AS THE DRIVER HAS TO PUSH OFF OF CENTER CONSOLE WHILE LEFT HAND CORNERING AND LONG DISTANCE DRIVING IS NOT PERMISSIBLE AS IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE UNLESS DRIVER USES A TOWEL OR PILLOW TO LEVEL THE SEAT BASE. NORMAL OPERATION INVOLVES DRIVE RESTING ELBO FIRMLY INTO CENTER CONSOLE TO STAY UPRIGHT. OWNERS ARE CONCERNED DUE TO DRIVER ERGONOMICS AND ABILITY OF SAFETY RESTRAINS/AIRBAGS TO PERFORM AS DESIGNED IF IN ANY TYPE OF COLLISION IF THE DRIVER IS NOT CENTERED OR POSITIONED PROPERLY IN THE CAR AS DESIGNED AND TESTED FOR IMPACTS. SUBARU CORP. SR. REP. SAYS SUBARU HAS NO PUBLISHED SPECIFICATIONS OR MEASUREMENTS FOR SUBARU SEATS FOR FFE TO COMPARE SEAT CONSTRUCTION/INSTALL OF MY VEHICLE TO. THE FFE PERFORMED CORPORATE/CUSTOMER INSPECTION USING A CELL PHONE IN A LEATHER CELL PHONE WALLET AND A BUBBLE LEVEL APPLICATION AS HIS REFERENCE FOR DENIAL OF CLAIM. I HAVE PICTURES OF PERSONAL INSPECTION WITH LEVELS AND MEASUREMENTS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
2019 SUBARU OUTBACK PURCHASED IN OCTOBER 2019. I HAVE EXPERIENCED CRACKED A WINDSHIELD 3 TIMES. I'VE HAD 3 NEW WINDSHIEDS REPLACED. MY FIRST WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT WAS 2 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE. TWO WEEKS LATER, THAT WINDSHIELD CRACKED AND WAS REPLACED. ABOUT 8 MONTHS LATER, THAT WINDSHIELD CRACKED AND I HAD IT REPLACED LAST DECEMBER. I DROVE FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS AS IT SLOWLY CRACKED ACROSS THE WHOLE WINDSHIELD. THEN IT WAS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE IT. THE FIRST TIME THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED, I WAS DRIVING AND THE DEALER SAID A LITTLE ROCK HAD HIT IT. ALL 3 TIMES, THE POINT OF IMPACT WAS POINTED OUT TO ME. THEY WERE VERY TINY SPOTS ON THE WINDSHIELD. WHILE DRIVING, I WAS NOT AWARE THAT ANYTHING HAD HIT THE WINDSHIELD. I FLINCH EVERY TIME AN AUTOMOBILE OR TRUCK PASSES ME ON ROADS OR THE FREEWAY I AM SO AFRAID THAT SOME LITTLE BIT OF DEBRIS WILL HIT THE WINDSHIELD AND CRACK IT ONCE AGAIN. I'VE REPLACED THREE WINDSHIELDS IN ABOUT 13 MONTHS.

The contact stated that the vehicle had to be jumpstarted on ten occasions and the battery was replaced. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to a parasitic draining. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.
HAD MY NEW CAR FOR 2 MONTHS AND WAS DRIVING ABOUT 50 MILES AN HOUR ON THE FREEWAY, IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE TO PREPARE TO EXIT. HEARD A SOUND FROM THE RIGHT FRONT OF THE CAR, THEN NOTICED A VERY SMALL CRACK IN THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF FRONT WINDSHIELD AND THOUGHT A ROCK WAS KICKED UP BY ANOTHER CAR BUT SAW NO OBJECTS AND THERE WERE FEW CARS DRIVING NEAR ME. IT SEEMED ODD AND UNSAFE THAT A WINDSHIELD COULD CRACK FROM LITTLE TO NO IMPACT. OVER THE NEXT DAY, THE SMALL CRACK EXPANDED TO ABOUT 12 INCHES. SPENT $847 TO REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD AND RE-CALIBRATE EYESIGHT.
The contact owns a 2019 Subaru Outback. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the horn inadvertently actuated without warning. The contact also stated while starting the vehicle, the horn would sound intermittent. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed the failure as a remote start module failure. The remote start module was replaced however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The contact stated that the manufacturer and dealer stated that the remote start system needed to be removed from the vehicle. The failure mileage was unknown.
I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE EYESIGHT DRIVER ASSIST IF THIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL. I HAVE THE CAR SET AT 3 CAR LENGTHS & USE CRUISE ALWAYS. ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN CRUISE IS SET TO 70 - WITH OR WITHOUT FOLLOWING ANOTHER CAR - I WILL LOOK DOWN AND I FIND MYSELF GOING 85 MILES AN HOUR. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY. OTHER PROBLEM IS THE SAFETY FEATURE OF STAYING IN ONE'S LANE. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO HOLD ONTO A STEERING WHEEL TO KEEP CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE LIKE I DO NOW. IT OVER-CORRECTS AND I HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN THROWN INTO ANOTHER LANE. THIS IS MOST DANGEROUS ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM SINCE GETTING THE CAR AND HAVE REPORTED IT AND HAVE BEEN BLOWN OFF BY SUBARU DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR AS WELL AS A LOCAL SUBARU REPAIR SHOP
TL* THE CONTACT LEASED A 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LANE DEPARTURE ASSIST SWITCHED THE VEHICLE FROM ONE LANE TO ANOTHER LANE INDEPENDENTLY AND IN AN AGGRESSIVE MANNER WITHOUT DRIVER INPUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BRANDON TOMES SUBARU (1100 S. CENTRAL EXPY, MCKINNEY, TX 75070) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE DIAGNOSTIC RESULT WAS NOT DISCLOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SPEED SENSITIVE AND THAT HE WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE TOO FAST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER FOR THE SAME FAILURE NUMEROUS TIMES AND THAT THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO FIND A SOLUTION FOR THE ISSUES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED SEVERAL CASES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3. *BF..
THE SPOT WELDS UNDER THE DASH DO NOT APPEAR TO BE CORRECT AND SAFE.*DT
MANY OF THE SPOT WELDS ARE FAULTY . I HAVE TRIED TO WORK WITH BRANDON TOMES SUBARU, THE DEALER THAT WE LEASED THE CAR FROM. I HAVE ALSO REQUESTED HELP FOR SUBARU. NEITHER HAVE RESPONDED .

WINDSHIELD IN MY VEHICLE CRACKED TWICE WITHIN 11 MONTHS OF OWNING THIS VEHICLE DUE TO LITTLE OR NO CAUSE. I HAD TO PAY FOR THE WINDSHIELD OUT OF MY POCKET.
2019 SUBARU OUTBACK. CONSUMER WRITES WITH CONCERNS FOR FAULTY NAVIGATION SYSTEM THAT DISPLAYS THE WRONG POSTED LEGAL SPEED LIMIT WHILE DRIVING. *AS *JS
THE WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED IN OCTOBER OF 2018 WHILE DRIVING ON I-64 ON MY WAY TO WORK. THE WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED AND AGAIN CRACKED IN NEARLY THE SAME LOCATION IN DECEMBER OF 2018 WHILE DRIVING ON I-64. THIS WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED AND IN JULY 2019 CRACKED AGAIN WHILE DRIVING ON I-70.
The contact owns a 2019 Subaru Outback. The contact stated that since purchasing the vehicle, her windshield had cracked on four separate occasions due to minor road debris. The first crack was a diagonal crack that formed on the lower corner of the driver-side windshield. The second crack was like a spider’s web that formed on the upper passenger’s side of the windshield. The third crack was a diagonal crack that formed in the middle of the passenger’s side windshield. The fourth crack was a Z-shaped crack that formed in the middle of the windshield right below the eyesight camera. The contact stated that each crack obstructed her vision while driving. The contact had the first two windshields replaced at Subaru of Richmond (9177 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23294) and Hyman Bros. Subaru (11960 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, VA 231130) respectively. The contact had an independent mechanic replace the third windshield after the failure. The fourth crack was not yet repaired. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and offered $250.00 towards the replacement of the windshield. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
RECEIVED TWO CHIPS IN THE WINDSHIELD - ONE IN THE FIRST TWO DAYS OF OWNING THE CAR AND ANOTHER ONE TWO WEEKS AFTER. BOTH CHIPS OCCURRED AT MODERATE SPEEDS - ONE ON A FREEWAY ENTRANCE RAMP AND THE OTHER ON A FREEWAY EXIT RAMP. THE CHIPS SEEMED TO HAVE BEEN CAUSED QUITE EASILY WITH MINIMAL IMPACT. THERE HAVE BEEN NO FURTHER CHIPS SINCE NOR HAVE THE EXISTING CHIPS BEEN REPAIRED OR CRACKED YET. *TR
I TOOK DELIVERY OF THIS NEW VEHICLE ON 10 SEPTEMBER 2018 AFTER SHORT TEST DRIVE ON URBAN STREETS. BY THE TIME I HAD DRIVEN ON ABOUT 100 MILES ON RURAL AND 4 LANE ROADS I WAS REALLY DISTURBED BY THE WAY THE VEHICLE "WANDERED" FROM SIDE TO SIDE AND SEEMINGLY WITHOUT ANY STEERING WHEEL INPUT EXCEPT ENOUGH TO CORRECT THE DRIFT TO RIGHT OR LEFT. IT SEEMS WHEN THE WHEELS ARE CENTERED THE STEERING WHEEL APPEARS TO HAVE "DEAD ZONE". I CALLED THE SERVICE MANAGER AND HE SAID "WE GET A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THAT". TOOK IT TO DEALER ON 30 OCT 2018 AS(3341 MILES) AND SAID IT WAS ALRIGHT . I HAVE NOT "GOTTEN USED TO IT" AND IS EXHAUSTING TO DRIVE. IT IS LIKE DRIVING IN STRONG CROSS WINDS WHEN THERE IS NO WIND OR HYDROPLANING ON DRY ROADS.
WINDSHIELD CRACK APPEARED OVERNIGHT ON THE 4TH DAY OF OWNERSHIP. THE CRACK COVERS 1/2 THE WINDSHIELD AND IS GROWING DAILY. NATURALLY IT CAN'T BE FIXED BECAUSE NO ONE HAS THE WINDSHIELD FOR A 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK IN STOCK OR AVAILABLE BY ORDER. NO VISIBLE CHIP DAMAGE APPARENT. NOTE THERE ARE MULTIPLE CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS AGAINST SUBARU FOR THIS IDENTICAL PROBLEM.
PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2019 SUBARU OUTBACK 3.6R LIMITED WITH EYESIGHT. WITH LESS THAN 23 MILES ON IT, THE WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED JUST SITTING IN THE GARAGE. RESEARCHING THE WEB SHOWS THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH SUBARU OUTBACK.
