After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V017000 (Vehicle Speed Control); the VIN was included, but the vehicle had already been repaired under recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 170,000.
The contact owns a 2005 Toyota Avalon. The contact stated while attempting to make a left turn, the accelerator pedal was depressed and became inoperable. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed or repaired. I have been experiencing sponginess in the brakes. the air conditioner stopped working, the temperature gauges stopped working, and the ABS and Brake light are all on in the dash. Reviewing possible fixes according to Toyota Nation Forum online all these symptoms are a result of an ABS Control Module. This part alone costs almost $1500.00 and supposedly is a very common problem with this type of Avalon, Thank you for researching this further.

After the alternator and battery dies the car went right back to accelerating by itself into traffic, I contacted Toyota and explained that after the battery and alternator died the problem came right back but they seem not to care
One of my airbags or out. My heated seats on my passenger side heats up on its own . I also have lots of water on my passenger side floor when it rains. My gas pedal seem to get stuck when taking off.
LOWER FRONT DASH IS CRACKED AND BROKE

THERE WAS NO WARNING. THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND DIAGNOSED WITH A BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER FAILURE. THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO REACH THE MANUFACTURER BY PHONE BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 225,000.

ON 2005 TO 2008 TOYOTA AVALON LIMITED MODELS THE 3RD BREAK LIGHT WORKS SOMETIMES AND OTHER TIME IT DOESN'T I HAVE LOOKED ON A LOT OF FORUM AND SO MANY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM AND I GOT A WARNING FOR IT

NO INJURY OCCURRED. A POLICE REPORT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AN INDEPENDENT FACILITY BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER OF THE VEHICLE WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 175,000. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
Leaks. My stereo system shorted out due to leaking water from windshield area. I since learned Toyota knew about at least 2 leaking problems (in TSB’s) however the coverage was only for 36,000 miles or 36 months. I didn’t detect these issues until after that time. Now it will cost Thou$ands to remedy.
TELESCOPING STEERING WHEEL COLASPSES WHEN DRIVING.
ON 10/25/18 I WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION WHEN MY GAS PEDAL HUNG AND LURCHED FORWARD WHILE I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE AT A DOCTOR'S OFFICE. I HAD SLOWED DOWN TO PARK WHEN MY CAR JUMPED THE CURB AND HIT THE BUILDING HEAD ON. IT WAS 3:50 IN THE AFTERNOON AND A CLEAR VISIBILITY DAY. THE POLICE REPORT HAS MY SPEED AT ABOUT 20 MPH. MY AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY, I DID HAVE MY SEATBELT ON. IT WAS STRAIGHT FRONT END DAMAGE TO MY CAR. AS A RESULT OF THE IMPACT I AM SUFFERING FROM WHIPLASH AND POSSIBLE (TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY), ALSO NECK AND BACK PAIN. I BELIEVE THAT THE CAUSE OF THIS ACCIDENT WAS THE GAS PEDAL 'STICKING' AND AS A RESULT OF NO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT CAUSING MORE MOTION ON MY HEAD, NECK, AND BACK.
THE REAR SUNSHADE WON'T GO DOWN AND IT'S STUCK IN THE UP POSITION HENCE CAUSING POOR VISIBILITY WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT.

THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE ILLUMINATED AFTER THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 245,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE MADE A REVVING NOISE, BUT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS NOT DEPRESSED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE COMPUTER NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. THE COMPUTER WAS REPROGRAMMED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
I WAS BACKING INTO MY GARAGE AND SUDDENLY I COULD NOT CONTROL MY CAR. IT ACCELERATED AND I COULD NOT STOP IT. I HIT THE BRAKE AND CAR DIDNT STOP UNTIL IT CRASHED INTO MY REFRIGERATOR IN THE GARAGE. IT HAPPENED SO FAST, LIKE A BAD DREAM. I COULD NOT CONTROL MY CAR. I WAS ONLY GOING APPROX 5 MILES AND HOUR THEN IT ACCELERATED TO A GREAT SPEED I COULD NOT CONTROL OR STOP MY CAR.
WHEN VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, EACH LITTLE BUMP OR IMPERFECTION IN THE PAVEMENT WOULD CAUSE A RATTLE UNDER THE DRIVER FRONT. EXAMINATION BY AN AUTO REPAIRMAN REVEALED THE FRONT SUSPENSION SPRING WAS CRACKED. I WAS TOLD NOT TO DRIVE THE CAR AS THIS WAS NEXT TO THE TIRE AND COULD PUNCTURE IT WHILE BEING DRIVEN. THE REPAIRMAN ALSO STATED THAT THIS WAS UNUSUAL IN A TOYOTA. HAD MAYBE SEEN THIS TWICE OVER 2 YEARS BUT RECENTLY WITHIN ONE MONTH HAD SEEN THIS HAPPEN ABOUT 15 TIMES. THE REPAIRMAN FELT IT WAS TEMPERATURE RELATED TO SUBZERO TEMPERATURES IN DECEMBER AND JANUARY CAUSING THE METAL SPRING TO BRAKE.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2017 MY DAUGHTER HAD A WRECK. SHE RAN OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND OVERCORRECTED RUNNING INTO SEVERAL CULVERTS AND A DITCH SLAMMING INTO A UTILITY POLE ALMOST DEAD CENTER OF THE CAR. DOING THE SPEED LIMIT OF 55 OR LESS NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED NOR DID THE SEAT BELT LOCK CAUSING HER TO SLAM HER CHEST INTO THE STEERING WHEEL AND HIT THE REAR VIEW MIRROR WITH THE LEFT SIDE OF HER FACE. WHY DID THESE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOY AND SEAT BELT NOT LOCK ?
I PURCHASED THIS CERTIFIED USED AVALON 04/26/2005 WITH THE CERTIFIED WARRANTY EXPIRING ON 04/26/2012 OR 100,000 MILES. AT 74,000 MILES IT HAD TO BE REPAIRED AT FINDLAY TOYOTA FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK AT TIMING CHAIN COVER. I PAID $235.94, INSURANCE PAID $1530.93. AT 99,983 MILES THE SAME OIL LEAK HAD TO BE REPAIRED AGAIN AT DESERT TOYOTA, SCION. THEY STATED "FOUND USED COVER AND UPPER OIL PAN HAS BEEN REPLACED AND NOT SEALED PROPERLY, ALSO COOLANT HOSES NOT SEALED PROPERLY". FOR THIS REPAIR I PAID $2957.23. THE CAR STARTED LEAKING AGAIN AT 113,480 MILES AND IS IN NEED OF REPAIR AGAIN. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT WILL COST ME THIS TIME. APPARENTLY THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM TOYOTA HAD NOT PROPERLY ADDRESSED. ON TOYOTA'S TIS I FOUND TSB EG019-07 THAT SHOWS TOYOTA WAS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND NEVER NOTIFIED IT'S CUSTOMERS. I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR THE PREVIOUS REPAIR AND ANY ADDITIONAL REPAIRS REQUIRED TO PERMANENTLY FIX THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP! THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY EACH TIME I OBSERVED THESE LEAKS.

TOYOTA OF MCDONOUGH SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE THROTTLE BODY RECALL, BUT WAS RELUCTANT TO PROVIDE THE REMEDY. IN ADDITION, THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY NEEDED TO ORDER THE DASHBOARD, WHICH TOOK LONGER THAN 30 DAYS WITH NO FOLLOW-UP RESPONSE CONCERNING PART AVAILABILITY. THE CONTACT CALLED ANOTHER DEALER (BUTLER TOYOTA OF MACON, 4580 RIVERSIDE DR, MACON, GA 31210, (478) 476-1770) WHO STATED THAT THEY WOULD ORDER THE DASHBOARD. BUTLER TOYOTA REPLACED THE PART, BUT THE CONTACT HAD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK BECAUSE THE PINS NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE DASHBOARD WAS RATTLING A FEW DAYS AFTER THE REMEDY WAS PROVIDED FROM THE DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING FOR THE DEALER TO SUPPLY THE PINS TO SECURE THE DASHBOARD IN PLACE TO BE STRUCTURALLY SOUND. THE CONTACT ALSO CALLED DCH TOYOTA OF TORRANCE (310-468-4000 OR 1-888-283-3134) AND WAS ADVISED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER WHO SERVICED THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE TWO RECALL REPAIR CONCERNS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
LEVER THAT CONTROLS TELESCOPING STEERING WHEEL DROPS DOWN WHILE DRIVING AND COULD BE A POTENTIAL SAFETY PROBLEM CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL. ACCORDING TO THE DEALER THIS WAS NEVER A RECALL BUT WAS COVERED UNDER A WARRANTY EXTENSION. ACCORDING TO TOYOTA THEY SENT OUT LETTERS BEGINNING IN APRIL 2014 ADVISING OWNERS OF THE PROBLEM. WE NEVER RECEIVED A LETTER. TOYOTA FURTHER ADVISES US THAT THE WINDOW FOR FREE REPAIR OF THE DEFECT CLOSED ON MAY 31,2015 AND THEY WILL NOT PAY TO FIX IT. WHY WAS THIS NOT MADE AN OFFICIAL RECALL? I HAVE INJURED MY KNEE SEVERAL TIMES ENTERING THE VEHICLE.
ON MAY 28, 2016, ME AND MY 4 YEAR OLD TODDLER WERE TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE IN OUR 2005 TOYOTA AVALON (APPROX. 142,000 MILES) WHEN IT SUDDENLY LOSS POWER. THE DASHBOARD LIT UP AND HEAVY SMOKE BEGAN POURING FROM UNDER THE HOOD ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAR. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD AND STOP THE VEHICLE WITHOUT GETTING SLAM FROM BEHIND ON THE INTERSTATE. THE VEHICLE HAD JUST BEEN SERVICED ON 05/18/2016; WITH NO ISSUE PRIOR TO TRAVELING OUT OF TOWN FOR THE HOLIDAY. AFTER A DEALER FULL DIAGNOSTIC WAS COMPLETED; IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE HEAD GASKET BLEW AND THAT ALONG WITH THE ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED. THIS WAS THE SECOND OPINION. THE PREVIOUS DEALER FULL DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED ON THE CAR IN 11/2015, WHEN ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND AN "SYSTEM TOO LEAN CODE" APPEARED. AT THAT TIME, THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WERE REMOVED AND REPLACED. INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET, THROTTLE BODY GASKET, PLEMUM GASKETS AND SPARK PLUGS. OTHER THAN THAT, THE CAR HAS HAVE ROUTINE SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE PERFORMED ON A REGULAR BASIS. HOW DOES A CAR WITH AN EXCELLENT SERVICE RECORD DEVELOP AN ISSUE OF THIS NATURE WITHOUT ANY ADVANCE WARNING? THERE WAS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, THE CAR WASN'T RUNNING HOT. THERE WERE NO STRANGE NOISES, THUMP, RATTLES, ETC. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BASED ON ITS RATINGS AND RELIABILITY FACTOR. --AS I STARTED TO DO A LITTLE RESEARCH, I AM SEEING THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE ALONG WITH THE TOYOTA CAMRY. WHY ISN'T THIS REPORTED AS A KNOW ISSUE WITH THIS PRODUCT. I JUST GET SICK KNOWING THERE WAS NO LIGHT SENSORS OR ANYTHING TO WARN OF AN ISSUE. WE WERE VERY FORTUNATE NOT TO GET STRUCK FROM BEHIND TRAVEL AT SUCH A HIGH RATE OF SPEED ON THE INTERSTATE.
Dashboard and airbag covers including dash are badly cracked, airbag safety is potentially compromised if deployed. The car is available for inspection at my residence at any time. Toyota offered to supply and replace dash covers to fix this danger, but parts were never made available. The hazard remains.

WAS DRIVING ON BELTWAY IN WASHINGTON, DC. ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS DRIVING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED IN AN ATTEMPT TO MERGE ON THE BELTWAY WHEN HE CLIPPED MY VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE SPUN AROUND ON BELTWAY AND HIT GUARDRAILS AT HIGH RATE OF SPEED TWICE. BOTH FRONT AND BACK BUMPERS WERE COMPLETELY TORN APART IN ADDITION TO HUGE DENT IN DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR. FRONT OR SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *TR
CAR WAS IN PARK WITH ENGINE RUNNING AND AIRBAGS IN DRIVER'S SEAT AND ROOF DEPLOYED WHEN DRIVER'S DOOR WAS SHUT. MADE NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS WITH TOYOTA TO REPAIR AND HAVE HAD NO SUCCESS IN GETTING THIS DONE. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP ON 11/13/14 TO HAVE DIAGNOSTIC READINGS AND WAS TOLD WE WOULD BE NOTIFIED WITHIN 30 DAYS BY LEGAL DEPARTMENT. I HAVE MADE NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS AT GETTING ANSWERS BUT HAVE NOT HAD ANY SUCCESS. *TR

AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND HAS NOT GONE OFF
DASHBOARD IS CRACKED ALL ACROSS FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG TO THE LEFT DOOR. ALSO THE DASH IS BECOMING STICKY ANS SHINY. TOYOTA SERVICE QUOTED ME ALMOST $2500 TO REPLACE THE DAHBOARD. *TR
AT HIGHWAY SPEED, FELT VEHICLE PUSH TO THE LEFT, AS IF BY A STRONG GUST OF WIND. HEARD INTERMITTENT CLUNKING SOUND UNDER REAR OF CAR. UPON PARKING, NOTICED REAR RIGHT WHEEL CANTED INWARDS. AFTER REMOVING THE REAR RIGHT WHEEL NOTICED THE RIGHT REAR SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY NUMBER 2 DISENGAGED AND HANGING LOOSE. INSPECTED THE THREADS ON THE ASSEMBLY AND THEY WERE RUSTED AND WORN DOWN. I GOOGLED THIS PART FAILURE AND THIS FAILURE SEEMS EXACTLY LIKE THAT DESCRIBED FOR THE TOYOTA RAV 4 THAT RESULTED IN A RECALL. *JS
I WAS DRIVING AT 70 MPH UP I-81 IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND LOST ALL POWER. I WAS ABLE TO STEER TO THE SHOULDER. I TURNED ON FLASHERS, PUT CAR IN PARK, TURNED KEY OFF, AND TRIED TO RESTART ENGINE. IT IMMEDIATELY CRANKED RIGHT UP AND I PROCEEDED UP THE INTERSTATE. FIVE MINUTES LATER, AT 70 MPH, IT HAPPENED AGAIN. AGAIN I WAS ABLE TO STEER OFF THE ROAD AND RESTART THE ENGINE. I CONTINUED ON HOME FOR ANOTHER 2 HOURS WITH NO PROBLEMS. ON 5/18, I WENT TO CHURCH AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. SINCE I WAS DRIVING SLOWLY, IT WAS HARD TO STEER (NO POWER STEERING). AT NO TIME HAS A LIGHT COME ON SHOWING IT NEEDED SERVICE OR SOME PROBLEM. I ASSUME SINCE I WAS DRIVING SO FAST ON THE INTERSTATE, I DIDN'T NOTICE THE POWER STEERING LOSS WHEN I LOST ALL POWER. I AM AFRAID THAT IT MIGHT HAPPEN AGAIN AND I MIGHT GET KILLED FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO PULL ONTO A SHOULDER. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING LOCK AND POWER STEERING PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,245.
THE AIRBAG ON THE DRIVERS SIDE NEAR FLOOR UPON IMPACT BROKE MY ANKLE. THE AUTO HIT ON THE PASSENGERS FRONT SIDE. THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED WHEN I TRIED TO AVOID HITTING A CAT AND HIT A TELEPHONE POLE.TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THE IMPACT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SO SEVERE AS TO BREAK THE ANKLE CAUSING A PLATE, ROD, AND SEVERAL SCREWS TO BE PLACED IN THE ANKLE, BOTH SIDES HAD STITCHES APPROXIMATELY 8 TO 12 INCHES. NOW RECENTLY I HAD TO HAVE SOME OF THE HARDWARE REMOVED, CAUSING ME TO LOSE MORE TIME FROM WORK. I HAVE COMPLETE SET OF PICTURES OF AUTO AND SURGERY.
THE HOOD LATCH WILL NOT LATCH OR, OFTEN, LATCHES BUT INCOMPLETELY SO THAT WITH AERODYNAMIC LOADS IT UNLATCHES. THE HOOD POSITION IS THEN DEPENDENT ON THE SECONDARY LATCH WHICH IS MARGINAL. I HAVE EVERY REASON TO EXPECT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH AGING TOYOTA AVALONS AND WILL, OR HAS, RESULT IN A LOSS OF CONTROL ACCIDENT. THE PROBLEM DOES NOT RESPOND TO NORMAL MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION.
I NOTICED THE TELESCOPING LEVER HAD FALLEN A FEW TIMES WHILE ENTERING VEHICLE BUT PAID IT NO MIND AND JUST PUSHED IT UP. I WAS DRIVING ALONG ONE DAY AND I PUT THE BRAKES ON AND MAKING A TURN AND THE WHEEL JUST COLLAPSED TO THE ALL THE WAY DOWN POSITION AND IT CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD AND I ALMOST CRASHED! I TRY TO BE MORE CONSCIOUS OF THE FALLEN LEVER BUT IF NEGLECT TO PUSH IT UP THE TELESCOPING STEERING WHEEL WILL FALL AT LEAST ONCE A DAY WHILE DRIVING USUALLY WHEN BRAKING SINCE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS BRAKING THERE IS MORE DOWNWARD FORCE ON THE COLUMN. THE DEALER AND TOYOTA CORPORATE ARE TELLING ME THEY NEVER HEARD OF THE ISSUE AND ITS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR AND I NEED TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. THAT IS OBVIOUSLY A LIE SINCE I HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE AND EVEN A TSB TOYOTA ISSUED ABOUT THIS ISSUE. HOW AND WHY SHOULD I BE HELD FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR A SAFETY CONCERN THAT THEY ARE UNWILLING TO FIX. I HATE THAT IT MIGHT CAUSE A CRASH AND MAYBE THEN AFTER THE CRASH THEY MIGHT DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEIR DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. ONE MORE THING THE TELESCOPING OPTION IS ALMOST NEVER USED SO ITS CERTAINLY NOT FROM BEING USED TOO MUCH. *TR
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, REPLACED #2 IGNITION COIL. 800MILES AND 3 MONTHS LATER SAME THING HAPPENED,REPLACED #5 COIL. TOYOTA DEALER SAID THIS IS NORMAL FOR A HIGH MILEAGE CAR. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 TOYOTA AVALON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD'S VINYL COVER FRACTURED. THE CRACK INITIATED AT THE DRIVER SIDE AND SPREAD TO THE AIR BAG AND GLOVE COMPARTMENT AREA. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE AIR BAG MAY DEPLOY. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. DASHBOARD STARTED SHOWING CRACKS AND IS NOW DETERIORATING (CRUMBLING). MAJOR CRACKS ON PASSENGER SIDE ACROSS THE AIR BAG. I HAVE NOTIFIED TOYOTA AND TAKEN IT TO LOCAL DEALERSHIP WITH NO RESOLUTION.
THE STEERING LEVER MOVED DOWN AND THE STEERING WHEEL DROPPED IN 2-3 INCHES WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING. *TR
FRONT AXLE OF THE CAR BROKE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND THE ENTIRE WHEEL CAME OFF WITH THE AXLE CONNECTED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 TOYOTA AVALON EQUIPPED WITH YOKOHAMA ASCEND TIRES, SIZE P205/60/R16. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE REACHED 55 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED. THE STEERING WHEEL DID NOT VIBRATE PRIOR TO THE TIRES BEING CHANGED. THE CONTACT HAD THE TIRES BALANCED AGAIN AFTER THE CHANGE, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED.
