ALL INTERIOR LIGHTS, DASH, OVERHEAD, TROUBLE LIGHTS, ETC, HAVE INTERMITTENTLY WORKED AND THEN NOT WORKED. FOR EXAMPLE, IF THE AIR CONDITIONER LIGHTS STOP WORKING, I CAN HIT THE DASH AND THEY COME ON. IF THE INTERIOR LIGHT GOES OUT, I CAN SHAKE SEVERAL COMPONENTS AND IT COMES ON. THE BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON PERIODICALLY, THEN GOES OUT. THE "D" ON THE GEAR LIGHTS (INDICATES CAR TRANSMISSION IS IN DRIVE) GOES OUT, I AGAIN HIT DASHBOARD, AND IT COMES BACK ON. *NLM

GEAR SHIFT WENT FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL WHEN BRAKING. *TT
SHOULDER HARNESS CROSSES NECK OF 5'0" DRIVER OR PASSENGER, EVEN AT EXTREME SETTINGS OF SEAT AND HARNESS ANCHOR POINTS. HARNESS SHOULD CROSS SHOULDER OVER BONE, RATHER THAN SOFT TISSUE. SEAT BELT EXTENDERS HAVE BEEN USED BY THIS OCCUPANT IN OTHER BRAND VEHICLES WITH SUCCESS. THESE EXTENDERS WERE FURNISHED BY THE AUTO MANUFACTURERS. ALTHOUGH TOYOTA MANUFACTURES AND OFFERS THIS DEVICE, THEY WILL ONLY PROVIDE IT ON THE BASIS OF OBESITY SUFFICIENT TO PREVENT BUCKLING THE HARNESS; THERE IS NO PROVISION IN THEIR WRITTEN GUIDELINES FOR SHORT STATURE USERS OF NORMAL GIRTH. TOYOTA FURTHER STATES THAT THEIR ENGINEERING DATA INDICATES THAT PASSING THE BELT ACROSS THE NECK IS AN ACCEPTABLE CONDITION. AS AN ENGINEER I TAKE EXCEPTION TO THIS STATEMENT AND BELIEVE THAT ALL SIMILAR TOYOTA SHOULDER HARNESS ASSEMBLIES ARE EQUALLY DEFECTIVE. CONSUMER SAID, WHEN HE SET THE CRUISE CONTROL AT 55 MPH AND TRAVELING ON LEVEL GROUND OR UPHILL IT HOLDS THIS SPEED PERFECTLY. BUT IF HE START DOWN HILL THE SYSTEM DOES NOT SENSE PROMPTLY THAT THE CAR IS ACCELERATING. IT ALWAYS TAKES BETWEEN 20 AND 30 SECONDS BEFORE IT SENSES THE INCREASED SPEED AND RELEASES THE THROTTLE. BY THEN THE CAR IS TRAVELING 8 TO 14 MPH FASTER.
GEARS DON'T ALWAYS ENGAGE PROPERLY. WHEN BELOW 50 DEGREES THERE IS A DELAY OF 4-6 SECONDS FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE. TT

1995 4 CYLINDER CAMRY THAT HAS A THUMPING NOISE WHEN THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER WINDOW BUTTONS PRESSED TO LOWER THE WINDOWS.**CC UPON ACCELERATION, THE PEDAL SEEMED TO GO ABOUT 1/2 TO 1 INCH BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION ENGAGED. THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED AT LOWER SPEEDS WHEN ACCELERATING OR TRYING TO MANEUVER IN A PARKING LOT. THE CONSUMER STATED IT HAPPENS SPORADICALLY WHEN MAKING A RIGHT OR LEFT TURN. *JB
1995 TOYOTA CAMRY WITH UNINTENDED ACCELERATION WHILE PULLING OFF FROM A STOP. *KB THE CONSUMER STATED SHE PLACED THE GEAR INTO NEUTRAL AND THE VEHICLE STILL DID NOT STOP. SHE THEN PULLED THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION AND IMMEDIATELY PUT THE VEHICLE INTO PARK. THE CONSUMER NO LONGER OWNS THE VEHICLE. SHE SOLD IT IN 2005. *JB
