WHILE STOPPED IN TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE MADE A LOUD ROARING NOSE AND SURGED FORWARD. THE VEHICLE COLLIDED WITH THE VEHICLE IN FRONT, THAT VEHICLE IN TURN STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES INVOLVED IN THE INCIDENT. POLICE ARRIVED, BUT NO REPORT WAS MADE DUE TO NO INJURIES. *AK *NM
MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK IN HIS 2002 TOYOTA CAMRY, LE V6, AND ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED IN FRONT OF HIM. THE FRONT LEFT DRIVERS SIDE WAS TOTALED. NONE OF HIS AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND HE HAS SUFFERED A CRITICAL SPINAL INJURY. ACCORDING TO THE TOYOTA OWNER'S MANUAL, SHOWING THE PLACEMENT OF THE AIRBAG SENSORS, ALL AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO CONTACT TOYOTA'S HEADQUARTERS AND OF COURSE, NO ONE WANTS TO TALK TO YOU OR GIVE YOU ANY INFORMATION. WE BUY TOYOTA VEHICLES BECAUSE OF THEIR SAFTEY AND RELIABILITY, SHAME ON US. *AK
I WAS PULLING INTO MY DRIVEWAY IN MY 2002 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE DRIVEWAY IS ABOUT 80 FEET LONG. I SLOWED DOWN TO ABOUT 5 MPH AND ACTIVATED THE GARAGE-DOOR OPENER WHEN ALL OF SUDDEN THE CAR SPED UP AND I CRASHED INTO THE BRICK WALL AT THE BACK OF MY GARAGE, DEMOLISHING IT. I FILED TWO INSURANCE CLAIMS, UNDER BOTH MY AUTO AND HOMEOWNER'S POLICY TO CLEAN UP THE MESS. I HAD ONE OF MY KIDS IN THE CAR AT THE TIME BUT NEITHER OF US WERE HURT, THOUGH WE WERE PRETTY SHAKEN UP. NOBODY HAS EVER BEEN ABLE TO EXPLAIN THAT ACCIDENT. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING MORE THAN THIRTY YEARS AND HAVE AN IMPECCABLE DRIVING RECORD. (NO MOVING VIOLATIONS IN A LIFETIME OF DRIVING.) ABOUT A MONTH LATER I WAS WITH MY WIFE AND WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE--AGAIN AT A SPEED OF ABOUT 5MPH--WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY SPED UP. THIS TIME I WAS READY FOR IT AND I PUT ON BRAKES IN TIME TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. *TR
ON SATURDAY, JULY 7, 2004, I DROVE THE 2002 TOYOTA CAMRY IN BOWIE, MARYLAND HEADING SOUTH ON ROUTE 197, LAUREL-BOWIE ROAD. WHILE GOING UP A HILL, AT APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, I PRESSED ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. IMMEDIATELY, I LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR, AS IT SWERVED FIRST TO THE LEFT. HOWEVER, A CAR WAS TO MY LEFT, AND TO AVOID HITTING IT, I STEERED THE CAR RIGHT, TOWARDS THE CURB. FORTUNATELY I DID NOT HIT THE CAR. AS I STEERED TOWARDS THE RIGHT, THE CAR SPED AHEAD OF ME, AND I TRIED STEERING BACK TOWARDS THE LEFT TO AVOID THE CURB. TO CREATE FRICTION TO STOP THE CAR, I MADE A BIG ARC AND CROSSED FOUR LANES TO THE LEFT, WITH THE CAR FINALLY FACING NORTHBOUND. AFTER MAKING SURE NO CARS WERE COMING IN EITHER DIRECTION OF THE ROAD, I MADE A U-TURN AND HEADED STRAIGHT TO MY HOUSE (~2 MILES AWAY). *JB
UNINTENTIONAL ACCELERATION OF 2002 TOYOTA CAMRY LE MODEL WITH STABILITY CONTROL. (THIS CAR WAS MANUFACTURED IN THE US AND PURCHASED IN FOLSOM, CA IN MARCH 2002. WITHIN THE FIRST TWO YEARS THE CAR EXPERIENCED TWO CASES OF UNINTENTIONAL ACCELERATION. FORTUNATELY, SPEEDS WERE LOW AS THE CAR WAS IN THE PROCESS OF STOPPING. BOTH TIMES THE ENGINE SUDDENLY RACED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. THE DEALER SAID IT WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY PROBLEMS AND IT MUST BE THE WAY THE CAR WAS DRIVEN. THE SECOND TIME THE DEALER CHECKED THE SYSTEMS AND COULD FIND NOTHING. THE PROBLEMS HAS NOT RECURRED. THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF A PROBLEM IN THE SOFTWARE THAT MAY HAVE BEEN CORRECTED WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE. *TR
VEHICLE JUMPED INTO GEAR WHEN DRIVING .THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *LA *SC *JB
WHILE APPROACHING A RED LIGHT AND ATTEMPTING TO SLOW DOWN VEHICLE SURGED WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKES. THE BRAKES HAD TO BE DEPRESSED WITH GREAT FORCE. *AK SEE VOQ 10074340. *DSY
WHILE PARKING VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD. THEN, VEHICLE HIT TWO VEHICLES IN PARKING LOT. THE DEALERSHIP WAS INFORMED. *AK SEE 10066756. *DSY *TC UPDATED 7/5/12 *CN
WHEN DRIVING INTO THE GARAGE VEHICLE SURGED FORWARD. THIS CAUSED THE CONSUMER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND IT HIT THE BACK WALL OF THE GARAGE HEAD ON. UPON IMPACT, BOTH FRONTAL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. CONSUMER WILL HAVE THE VEHICLE INSPECTED. *AK
CRACKED AND BROKEN LUG NUTS- DEALER FOUND ONE AND I JUST FOUND ANOTHER. I HAVEN'T TAKEN IT IN TO THE DEALER YET. *JB

MY TOYOTA CAMRY 2002 SE V6 EVERYDAY IS MAKING A LOUD SQUEALING SOUND WHEN I TURN THE WHEEL AND A CLUNKING SOUND WHEN I SHIFT INTO DRIVE FROM PARK. NOW THE MAIN PROBLEM IS WHEN I'M DRIVING MY CAR IT ACCELERATES AND THEN IT JUST GOES INTO "NEUTRAL" AT WHATEVER SPEED I'M GOING AT AND THEN KICKS BACK WITH A PUNCH (THAT JERKS MY HEAD BACK) INTO GEAR. IT DOES IT EVRY DAY SINCE I HAD THE CAR. I TALKED TO TOYOTA AND OF COURSE, THEY BLAME ME. I BABY MY CAR . CHANGE THE OIL EVERY 2000 MILES AND NOTHING BUT MOBIL GAS. I'M SCARED TO TAKE MY CAR IN BECAUSE I DON'T WANT THE DEALER SAYING I OWE A BILLION DOLLARS TO GET IT FIX AND USE SOME EXCUSE TO AVOID THE WARRANTY. I HAVE TALKED TO A COUPLE OF THE REPAIR GUYS AT TOYOTA AND THEY KNOW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND EVEN HAVE TOLD ME ALMOST EVERY 1ST GENERATION TOYOTA(LIKE MINE) HAVE THIS PROBLEM. AND THAT TOYOTA REFUSES TO DO A RECALL. PLEASE HELP. I;M TAKING MY CAR IN BECAUSE I'M ABOUT TO APPROACH THE WARRANTY LIMIT. I DIN'T GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. DOOR HANDLE ON INSIDE OF DRIVER'S SIDE BROKE. IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN DOOR. UNFORTUNATELY IT HAPPENED WHEN MILEAGE IS AT 38,000 AND PAST WARRANTY BY 2000 MILES. COST TO REPAIR WAS $117. TECHNICIAN STATED PROBLEMS WITH CAMRY AND COROLA WITH THAT RESPECT. THE HANDLE WAS NEVER TREATED ROUGHLY, JUST BROKE ONE DAY.*AK

CAR SUDDENLY SURGED FORWARD AND STRUCK REAR BUMPER OF PICKUP TRUCK. NO PERSONAL INJURIES OR DAMAGE TO CAR OR TRUCK. 2.) ON 5-9-04 SURGE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING SLOWLY, LOOKING AT CONDOMINIUMS, WITH FOOT ON BRAKE PEDAL. NO CRASH, NO INJURIES, NO DAMAGES TO CAR. 3.) ON 6-1-04, I ENTERED PARKING SPACE ON SIDE OF CVS PHARMACY,1885 W HENDERSON RD., UPPER ARLINGTON, OH 43220, WITH FOOT ON BRAKE PEDAL. CAR SUDDENLY SURGED FORWARD EVEN WITH BRAKE APPLIED AND STRUCK CONCRETE COLUMN. NO INJURIES OR MECHANICAL DAMAGE, BUT FRONT BUMPER WAS DENTED AND SCRATCHED. TOOK CAR TO TANSKY SAWMILL TOYOTA, BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND OR DUPLCATE THE SURGE. THEY CHECKED BRAKES, AND THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS . *AK SEE VOQ 10075107 (DUPLICATE). *DSY

TOYOTA CAMRY 2002 WAS PARKED. WHEN I PUT THE GEAR INTO DRIVE, W/ FOOT ONLY ON BRAKE, IT SURGED FORWARD , CRASHING THE CAR THROUGH THE COMMON GARAGE WALL WHICH SEPARATES TWO PATIO HOMES. I WAS THROWN FORWARD AS THE CAR WENT THROUGH THE WALL, HITTING THE CAR IN THE OTHER GARAGE WHICH WAS PUSHED BACKWARDS INTO THE OTHER GARAGE DOOR. BOTH CARS HAD TO REPAIRED, A NEW GARAGE WALL AND GARAGE DOOR WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. LUCKILY, NO ONE WAS KILLED. I HAVEN'T TAKEN THE CAR TO MY TOYOTA DEALER AS IT HAD TO BE TOWED AWAY AND I AM SURE THEY WILL NOT FIND ANY FAULT IN THE CAR EVEN THOUGH NTSA HAS SUPPORTED THAT THIS CAR MAKE AND MODEL HAS HAD INCIDENTS OF THIS SURGING OCCURRING. THE COST OF THE REPAIR WILL BE 50% OF WHAT THE BLUE BOOK STATES IT WILL BE WORTH WHEN I SELL IT. I NEED INFORMATION AND YOUR SUPPORT IN THIS CAUSE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS APPROACHING A STOP SIGN AND LUNGED FORWARD INTO AN INTERSECTION. *AK *NM
WHILE ENTERING MY GARAGE TOYOTA CAMRY 2002 SURGED AND CRASHED THROUGH NEIGHBOR'S GARAGE HITTING HER CAR. INCIDENT WAS TOSSED ASIDE AS AN ISOLATED INCIDENT BY TOYOTA WHEN I CONTACTED THE MAIN COMPANY. I ALSO FILED A COMPLAINT THROUGH NHTSA. NOTHING WAS DONE TO CORRECT PROBLEM . CAR WAS SOLD IN 2007 AFTER SURGING CONTINUED. *TR
MY ABS BRAKES FADE INTERMITTENTL BUT ONLY WITH THE A/C ON. THEY FADE OCCASIONALLY DURING STOPS AND LIGHT PRESSURE ON PEDAL. THEY ALSO FEEL SPONGY ALL THE TIME. DEALER TELLS ME THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG AND, ALL THE ABOVE, ARE NORMAL OPERATION.*AK
WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNCONTROLLABLY. CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND IT HIT A LADY, WHO SUSTAINED MAJOR INJURIES, AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN FIVE DIFFERENT ACCIDENTS DUE TO SUDDEN ACCELERATION. *AK
WHILE IDLING IN TRAFFIC, AND THE BRAKE PEDAL APPLIED, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. THIS CAUSED THE DRIVER TO SLAM THE GEAR SHIFT IN PARK IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE DRIVER THAT THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. PLEASE FILL IN ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *JB UPDATED 7/5/12 *CN THE CONSUMER HAS SINCE TRADED THE VEHICLE. UPDATED 08/13/12
DEALER RESURFACED THE FRONTS ROTORS AND REPLACED THE PADS. AT 21,000 MILES THE FRONT ROTORS WERE RESURFACED AND THE PADS WERE REPLACED AGAIN. AT 23,000 MILES THE FRONT PADS WERE REPLACED FOR A THIRD TIME AND AT 42,000 MILES THEY REPLACED STRUT MOUNTING. AT 43,000 FRONT AND REAR BRAKES WERE REPLACED FOR THE FOURTH TIME. *JB
WHEN VEHICLE IS ENGAGED IN REVERSE IT ACCELERATES. *AK
I AM ATTORNEY FOR A VICTIM IN A COMA AND IN INTENSIVE CARE. HER VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY A TOYOTA CAMRY 2002 DRIVEN BY A 68 YEAR OLD LADY. CAMRY VEHICLE WAS PARKED, AND THEN CRASHED INTO A STOREFRONT AFTER GOING FORWARD. BACKED INTO TRAFFIC 40 FEET AWAY, STRUCK VEHICLES, AND WENT FORWARD AGAIN KILLING PEDESTRIAN AS WELL. CASE UNDER INVESTIGATION. RECENT ACCIDENT. PREVIOUS REPORTS OF SUDDEN ACCELERATION. ALL CAMRYS SHOULD BE RECALLED BEFORE MORE LOSS OF LIFE. POSSIBLE POWER TRAIN/AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. THE CONSUMER HAD AN ACCIDENT, WHEN THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN, STRUCK 5 VEHICLES HEAD ON AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD HIM THAT THERE WERE NO DEFECTS WITH THE AIR BAGS OR VEHICLE ACCELERATOR. TOYOTA HAS ACCEPTED A CLAIM IN WILL REIMBURSE THE CONSUMER FOR ALL DAMAGES; HOWEVER, THE CONSUMER SHOWS CONCERN THAT THERE IS NO RECALL. *LA SEE VOQ 10065132. *DSY
WHILE AT A STOP, THE VEHICLE JERKED FORWARD. *AK THE CONSUMER WAS A T A RED LIGHT, WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, UPON ACCELERATION THE ENGINE MADE A ROARING SOUND AND LURCHED FORWARD. *SC *JB
MY WIFE WAS SLOWING FOR A STOP SIGN OFF A HIGHWAY EXIT RAMP WHEN"THE BRAKES DID NOT STICK AND THE CAR LURCHED FOREWARD' STRIKING A STOPPED VEHICLE.SHE TOLD THE POLICE SHE WAS ONLY GOING 5-10MPH AT MOST, BUT THE OTHER VEHICLE SUFFERED OVER $500.00 IN DAMAGES.THIS WAS IN GOOD ROAD CONDITIONS WHERE SHE TRAVELS DAILY. PRIOR TO THIS I HAD TOLD THE DEALER THAT THE BRAKES FELT MUSHY AND RARELY GAVE CONFIDENCE. THE SERVICE RECORDS STATE THE FOLLOWING:COMPLAINT-BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELS A LONG WAY TO STOP. REPLY-BRAKES FUNCTION AS DESIGNED. NORMAL TRAVEL FOR THIS TYPE OF BRAKE SYSTEM. [3000 MILES LATER] COMPLAINT-BRAKE PEDAL FEELS LIKE IT LOSES PRESSURE WHEN STOPPING. WORRIED CAR WILL NOT STOP AT TIMES. REPLY-IMPROPER ADJUSTMENT REAR DRUM BRAKE. OBVIOUSLY THERE IS MORE WRONG THAN AN OUT OF ADJUSTMENT REAR BRAKE. EITHER THE BRAKE SYSTEM OR A COMBINATION OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND ACCELERATION SYSTEM ARE FAULTY IN THIS VEHICLE.*AK
WHILE WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO CHANGE, WE STRUCK IN THE REAR OF OUR 2002 TOYOTA.CAMRY. SEAT BELT DIDNOT HOLD ME BECAME LOOSE. SEAT BACK COLLAPESED AND THE SEAT( ELECTRIC) WHENT BACK ABOUT 8 INCHES I COULN'T REACH THE PEDALS. *AK
INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAVE BROKEN DURING NORMAL USE. COULD TRAP SOMEONE IN CAR DURING AN EMERGENCY. DEALER WOULD ONLY REPLACE AT FULL COST. CAR IS A 2002 TOYOTA CAMRY.*AK
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING A 2002 CAMRY LE, WENT OFF THE ROAD AND STRUCK A TREE ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE FRONT DOOR. SHE HAD MASSIVE HEAD INJURIES AND DID NOT SURVIVE THE CRASH. NONE OF THE FRONTAL AIRBAGS OPENED ON SUCH A SEVERE IMPACT. AS IT MIGHT SEEM INITIALLY THAT THESE WERE FRONTAL AIRBAGS, BUT I HAVE SEEN A 2000 COROLLA WHERE THE IMPACT WAS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR DOOR AND BOTH THE FRONTAL AIRBAGS HAD DEPLOYED. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW A 2002 CAMARY THAT IS SUPPOSED BE A NEWER, BETTER CAR THAN A 2000 COROLLA, FAILED TO HAVE ITS AIRBAGS DEPLOY WHEN THE IMPACT WAS ON THE PASSANGERS SIDE; WHERE ON A COROLLA ALTHOUGH THE IMPACT WAS ON THE DRIVER SIDE REAR DOOR; THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. *JB
ORIGINAL TIRES DO NOT FUNCTION ON ROAD IF ANY LIGHT RAIN OR SNOW IS PRESENT. HAZARDOUS.
I BEGAN TO BACK OUT OF MY PARKING SPOT WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. I WAS UNABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE UNTIL IT HAD STRUCK ANOTHER CAR, CAUSING DAMAGE TO MY REAR FENDER. FORTUNATELY, THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE OTHER CAR. THIS HAS HAPPENED ONE OTHER TIME ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO WHEN I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY GARAGE. NO DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED AT THAT TIME. *AK
WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES ON MY 2002 TOYOTA CAMRY, THE CAR CONTINUES TO LUNGE FORWARD. I ALMOST HIT A SCHOOL BUS THIS MORNING.*AK
PURCHASED 2002 TOYOTA CAMRY XLE ON 4/16/02. THE CAR WAS EQUIPPED WITH BRIDGESTONE POTENZA P215/60R16 94V RE92 TIRES. EXPERIENCED VERY POOR PERFORMANCE THIS PAST WINTER. TRACTION VERY BAD IN WINTER CONDITIONS AND ALSO WET ROADS W/O SNOW. BROUGHT CAR TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE ON 4/14/04 WITH 19.020 MILES ON IT AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO REPLACE THE TIRES DUE TO EXCESSIVE TREAD WEAR. I REFUSED TO PAY FOR FOUR NEW TIRES AND REPLACE THE FRONT TWO FOR MY OWN SAFETY. I HAVE SENT A LETTER TO BRIDGESTONE & I AM AWAITING A REPLY. OTHER NUMBERS ON THE TIRES WERE 34350 EXBM 25816-2 E 92 MZ TREAD WEAR 160. *JB

THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATES WHILE DRIVING. THE STEERING WHEEL ALSO FELT LOOSE WHILE DRIVING. WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, BUT FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID REAR ENDING ANOTHER VEHICLE, HOWEVER THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE JUMPED A CURB ONTO A GRASS SURFACE. THE VEHICLE RETAINED THE SAME SPEED, BUT DIDN'T SLOW DOWN, AND DROVE 700 FEET BEFORE HITTING A SIGN AND TWO TREES. WHEN THE VEHICLE IMPACTED THE SECOND TREE, THE IMPACT CATAPULTED THE VEHICLE BACK ONTO THE STREET AND THE VEHICLE FINALLY STOPPED. APPROPRIATE HANDLING- LETTER FROM REGARDING TOYOTA'S RECALL INCLUDING THE 2002 TOYOTA CAMRY *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED IN APRIL 2004, THE VEHICLE SURGED WHEN HE APPLIED THE BRAKE GOING DOWNHILL INTO A PARKING GARAGE. HE WAS ABLE TO STOP BY PUTTING THE GEAR IN PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. IN DECEMBER 2008, AS HE WAS COMING TO STOP IN A DRIVEWAY, SLIGHTLY DOWNHILL, THE VEHICLE SURGED AGAIN. HE HAD HIS FOOT ON THE BRAKE IN PREPARATION TO COME TO A FULL STOP. COMPLAINT REGARDING TIRE EQUIPMENT ON 2003 TOYOTA CAMRY. *MR FIRESTONE DENIED HONORING THE WARRANTY FOR THE DEFECTIVE TIRES. THE AUTHORIZED BRIDGESTONE AND FIRESTONE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER IF HE COULD NOT PRODUCE THE RECEIPTS TO SHOW THAT THE TIRES WERE ROTATED EVERY 5000 TO 6000 THE WARRANTY WOULD NOT BE COVERED. IT WAS STRUCK BY A 2002 TOYOTA CAMRY SEDAN DRIVEN BY A MRS. UNA ELIZABETH TUCKER OF PORT ST. LUCIE, FL. THE TOYOTAS WAS ON THE NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS DRIVEWAY. ACCORDING TO HER, SHE WAS TRYING TO GET OUT OF HER DRIVEWAY WHEN SHE CLAIMS HER CAR STARTED SMOKING AND SUDDENLY BOLTED. HER VEHICLE SMASHED ONTO MY CAR WITH SUCH FORCE.. I HAVE A 2002 TOYOTA CAMRY THAT I USE FOR NORMAL DRIVING. AT 12000 MILES THE CAR STARTED VIBRATING WHEN BRAKING. THE DEALER DETERMINED THAT THE FRONT ROTOR WAS WARPED AND REPLACED THE FRONT BRAKES AND TURNED THE ROTORS AT MY EXPENSE($250). WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE BY APPLYING THE BRAKES TO SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN. THIS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE. THE DRIVER WILL CONTACT THE DEALER IN THE NEAR FUTURE. *AK THE VEHICLE WOULD CONTINUE IN MOTION WHEN THE CONSUMERS FOOT WAS NOT ON THE ACCELERATOR. WHEN SLOWING FROM SPEEDS ABOVE 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SLOW BELOW 20-22 MPH WITHOUT APPLYING THE BRAKES. AS THE TACHOMETER DROPPED DOWN TO 1000 RPM'S, IT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY MAKE A SLIGHT SURGE TO 1100-1200 RPM'S THEN SETTLE TO 1000 RPM'S AND WOULD CONTINUE UNTIL THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. *SC *JB
