TEAR IN SIDEWALL OF BRIDGESTONE/FIRESTONE TIRE. *AK
VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND WITHOUT INCIDENT THE SEAT HEATER CAUGHT ON FIRE. OWNER TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER, WHO REMOVED THE SEAT, AND INSTALLED A NEW SEAT. *AK *TC
2004 TOYOTA SOLARA WITH V6 AND AUTO TRANS. HAVE OWNED CAR SINCE NEW AND HAVE A HESITATION PROBLEM THAT MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE. EXTRA CAUTION IS NEEDED TO ENTER HWYS SAFELY. I AM ALSO UNABLE TO ACCELERATE COMING OUT OF TURNS WITHOUT FEELING THE CAR LURCH FORWARD MAKING IT UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN INCLEMENT WEATHER. WHEN TAKEN TO SERVICE AT TOYOTA THEY ACT LIKE NOTHING IS WRONG. I KNOW I AM NOT CRAZY BECAUSE ITS NOTICED BY ALL MY PASSENGERS. AND UPON MY PERSONAL INVESTIGATION HAVE UNCOVERED MANY COMPLAINTS BY OWNERS OF THE SAME VEHICLE AND BY OWNERS OF LEXUS VEHICLES THAT USE SAME ENGINE AND TRANS. IN FACT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM IN ALL CARS USING AN ELECTRONIC CONTROL FOR THE THROTTLE AS OPPOSED TO THE OLD LINKAGE SYSTEM. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CONDITION AND ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED BECAUSE OF IT. I ALSO NOTICED QUITE A FEW COMPLAINTS ON THIS WEBSITE PERTAINING TO THE SAME PROBLEM. *JB
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION WITH A METAL FENCE POLE AT 35 MPH, AND NEITHER FRONTAL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. CONSUMER SUSTAINED INJURIES, AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE LOCAL HOSPITAL. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A BODY SHOP. MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THERE WERE NO AIR BAGS IN THE VEHICLE.*AK
MY SON WAS DRIVING MY TOYOTA CAMRY IN A BAD RAIN STORM. HE WENT OFF THE ROAD AND HIT A POLE. HE BROKE HIS COLLAR BONE AND MISSED 30 DAYS OF WORK. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED WE WERE TOLD THE REASON THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY WAS BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT AN AIR BAG IN THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. *AK
THE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN THE RAIN WHEN IT HYDROPLANED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS LOSING TRACTION EASILY. *SC AS A RESULT WHEN THE VEHICLE HYDROPLANED, THE CONSUMER STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE. *JB
WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN INTO A PARKING SPACE, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT THE VEHICLE COLLIDED INTO A PARKED VEHICLE. THE CAUSE HAS YET TO BE DETERMINED. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *JB....WHILE EXITING A HIGHWAY AT 60 MPH, REMOVED FOOT FROM ACCELERATOR TO COAST INTO EXIT, VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED 70-75 MPH. WAS ABLE TO CONTROL VEHICLE BY APPLYING BRAKES. ALSO, DEALER REPAIRED FRONT BUMPER. *AK
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH OR GREATER, THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE LEFT. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN ALIGNMENT SHOP. THE WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS CHECKED AND APPEARED TO BE FINE. THE DEALER PERFORMED A WHEEL ALIGNMENT, HOWEVER, THE FAILURE STILL PERSISTS. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 7,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10.
THE DESIGN ( ANGLE ) OF THE WINDSHIELD CREATES SEVERE VISIBILITY PROBLEMS WHEN DRIVING INTO THE SUN. THE GLARE OFF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD IS BLINDING EVEN WITH THE SUNSHADE DOWN. USING SUNGLASSES HELPS BUT DOES NOT ELEVATE THE PROBLEM AT ALL. I HAVE TRIED ADJUSTING SEAT TO CHANGE VIEWING ANGLE BUT WONT HELP. THIS IS A PROBLEM I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED WITH ANY OTHER VEHICLES I HAVE DRIVEN. THIS CONCERNS ME VERY MUCH AND MAKES ME HESITANT TO DRIVE THE CAR IN THE MORNINGS. WITH SUN BEHIND YOU THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS WITH VISIBILITY. *JB
BRITAX MARATHON MODULE # E9L0605 00834, DOM 05/02/2004, AND BRITAX MARATHON E9L0605 008450, DOM 01/02/2004. NO PARTS WERE AVAILABLE THREE MONTHS AGO.*AK
THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG OF OUR 2004 CAMRY REPEATEDLY DISENGAGES. THE DEALERSHIP HAS RE-CALIBRATED THE COMPUTER FIVE TIMES NOW AND THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER SAYS THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM TO TOYOTA BUT THEIR ENGINEERS HAVE NOT FIGURED OUT HOW TO FIX IT. THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE ANY PARTS, SAYING THAT THERE ARE TOO MANY PARTS THAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM AND THEY'D JUST BE "THROWING PARTS" AT IT. THEY ALSO CLAIM THE LEMON LAW DOES NOT APPLY TO THIS PROBLEM SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT REPLACING PARTS BUT SIMPLY RE-CALIBRATING. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO PUT IN HERE FOR INCIDENT DATE BECAUSE THERE HAVE BEEN SO MANY. I WILL USE THE LAST ONE BELOW, BUT THIS IS A REPAIR WE'VE HAD TO SEEK AGAIN FIVE TIMES. THE ONLY REASON WE HAVE NOT HAD TO SEEK IT MORE THAN THAT IS THAT NORMALLY MY WIFE DRIVES THIS CAR ALONE AND RARELY HAS A PASSENGER. THE AIRBAG ONLY DISENGAGES WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER. IT APPEARS THERE MAY BE SOME CONNECTION BETWEEN SEATBELT USE AND PUTTING CAR IN OR OUT OF GEAR. THIS LAST TIME IT WENT OUT WE WERE STUCK IN TRAFFIC FOR ABOUT AN HOUR. AT ONE POINT THE PASSENGER RELEASED THE SEATBELT. WE WERE TAKING THE CAR IN AND OUT OF GEAR EVERY 5-10 MINUTES TO MOVE JUST A FEW YARDS. ANOTHER TIME THE AIRBAG DISENGAGED WAS SOMEWHAT SIMILAR. WE HAD PULLED INTO A REST AREA. I WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND GOT OUT. MY WIFE LATER MOVED THE CAR (DRIVING) AND WAS WAITING FOR ME TO GET BACK IN WITH THE CAR RUNNING, IN GEAR. WHEN I GOT BACK IN, SHORTLY THEREAFTER WE NOTICED THE AIRBAG DISENGAGE LIGHT CAME ON. *JB
VEHICLE PULLS TO LEFT OR RIGHT--MOSTLY LEFT. VEHILCE WILL NOT DRIVE STRAIGHT WITHOUT CONSTANT PRESSURE ON THE STEERING WHEEL. I HAVE COMPLAINED AND HAVE TAKEN IT IN FOR SERVICE AND/OR TEST DRIVEN A TOTAL OF EIGHT TIMES. FOUR TIMES HAVE BEEN IN THE LAST MONTH. THE SPRINGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND A WHEEL ALIGNMENT HAS BEEN PERFORMED. TWO SERVICE MANAGERS HAVE DRIVEN WITH ME FROM TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS. THEY COULD FEEL THE CAR PULLING BUT SAID IT WAS "NORMAL." THERE IS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE PULL/DRIFT BUT THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY IMPROVEMENT TO MY VEHICLE. I HEAR RATTLES IN THE DRIVER WINDOW, THE PASSENGER WINDOW/DOOR, AND THE DASH. THE WINDOWS WERE SERVICED ONCE. THE DASH HAS BEEN SERVICED TWICE. SERVICEMEN REPLACED THE SEATBELT PANEL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT THE NOISE EXISTED THERE. THE NOISE STILL EXISTS. SINCE THEN, THEY DON'T TRY TO REPAIR AND I'VE BEEN TOLD 'A LITTLE PLAY IN THE WINDOWS IS NORMAL.'
I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKES SINCE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED. IT WAS BROUGHT TO THE DEALER FOR COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE BRAKES ON THE FOLLOWING DATES: 4/26/04, 6/11/04, 7/8/04, 7/31/04 AND 11/8/04. ON 4/26/04 THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED. ON 11/2/04 MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT AT ABOUT 10 MPH SHE USED THE BRAKES TO STOP THE CAR AND THE BRAKES FAILED CAUSING A CRASH. THE DEALERSHIP INSPECTED THE CAR AND A MR. TROY HIGA, CLAIMS ADMINISTRATOR, WROTE ME A LETTER STATING THAT TOYOTA COULD FIND NO PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM. *NM
THE AIR BAG ON AND AIR BAG OFF, INDICATOR LIGHTS INDICATE THE ACTIVATION OF FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG, SIDE AIRBAG ON FRONT SEAT FAILURE. *BF THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONSUMER THAT A PERSON 70 LBS OR MORE SHOULD ACTIVATE THE AIR BAG ON LIGHT AND AFFORD THE FRONT PASSENGER PROTECTION. *SC
THE SECURITY SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED. THE BRAKE PEDAL AND GAS PEDAL TO CLOSE RESULT IN SOMETIMES PUSHING BOTH PEDALS AT ONCE. *BF THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS 4 3/4 INCHES WIDE AND HE BOTTOM OF THE CONSUMERS SHOES WAS 4 1/2 INCHES WIDE. THE GAS PEDAL WAS OVER TO THE CENTER OF THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE CONSUMER WOULD HAVE TO SHIFT HIS BOTTOM OR TWIST HIS FOOT INWARD AND PUSH DOWN ON THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAUSE HIS KNEE WOULD NOT BEND SIDEWAY. *SC
CONSUMER PRESSED GAS PEDAL AND VEHICLE DID NOT ACCELERATE, THREE SECONDS LATER VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD. *TX THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER WAS ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM BUT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE. ABOUT 17 MONTHS LATER THE VEHICLES WAS REPAIRED. *NM UPDATED *JB
2004 TOYOTA CAMRY. CONSUMER STATES RAPID ACCELERATION. *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED AS SHE SLOWLY TURNED INTO A PARKING SPACE AND BEGAN TO APPLY THE BRAKE, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LURCHED FORWARD, SENDING THE VEHICLE OVER A YELLOW CONCRETE BARRIER AND INTO A SMALL RETAINING WALL. THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP WHEN IT HIT THE RETAINING WALL. A FEW MONTHS LATER, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. AS THE CONSUMER WAS BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LURCHED BACKWARDS AND STARTED TO GO IN A SMALL SPIN. SHE APPLIED THE BRAKE AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED. THE THIRD INCIDENT HAPPENED WHEN THE CONSUMER WAS PROCEEDING UP A DRIVEWAY TO A HOSPITAL. AS SHE WAS SITTING WAITING TO PROCEED WITH HER FOOT ON THE BRAKE, THE VEHICLE ALL OF A SUDDEN LURCHED FORWARD. SHE IMMEDIATELY BRAKED HARDER AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED AFTER GOING ABOUT 3 OR 4 FEET FORWARD. *JB

THE FIREMEN SEEMED TO THINK THE PROBLEM WAS THE AIR FUEL FLOW AND OR ELECTRICAL. CONSUMER JUST GOT THE VEHICLE. IT WAS LOCKED SO NO ONE COULD HAVE DONE THIS. *AK THE CONSUMER HEARD A POPPING SOUND AND A PEDESTRIAN YELLED ABOUT THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE BURNT TO ASHES, TOTALING THE VEHICLE. *SC

DT: 2004 TOYOTA SOLARA, VEHICLE WILL STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, 55 MPH, 65 MPH, AND OTHER SPEEDS. WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED IT DID NOT START AGAIN, THE ONLY PART OF THE VEHICLE THAT WORKED WAS THE RADIO. CONSUMER HAS TAKEN THE VEHICLE IN TO DEALER MANY TIMES, AND DEALER STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. CONSUMER HAD TAKEN VEHICLE TO MULTIPLE DEALERS. THE DEALERS HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. AIR BAGS FAILED TO ACTIVATE IN DIRECT HEAD-ON COLLISION AT O/A 35 MPH. PERSONAL INJURIES FROM SHOULDER RESTRAINTS WHICH COULD/WOULD HAVE BEEN AVERTED IF AIR BAGS BHAD INFLATED. SENSORS APPARENTLY FAILED TO OPERATE DERSITE SUFFICIENT IMPACT TO VIRTUALLY DESTROY ENTIRE FRONT END.*AK

WHEN DRIVING AT SPEEDS OVER 40 MPH THEN REDUCING SPEED DUE TO TRAFFIC OR TO TURN THERE IS A MARKED DELAY IN THROTTLE AND TRANSMISSION RESPONSE ON RE-ACCELERATION, DANGEROUSLY SLOW WHEN CHANGING LANES ON THE FREEWAY. WHEN THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION FINALLY DUE KICK IN, THE TACHOMETER JUMPS TO RED LINE AND THE CAR ROCKETS FORWARD! *JB
THIS SOUNDS LIKE A BROKEN RECORD - CAR PULLED SEVERELY TO LEFT AT TIME OF PURCHASE. TOYOTA'S FIRST ATTEMPT LESSENED LEFT HAND PULL. TOYOTA'S SECOND REDUCED PULL, BUT NOW STEERING IS SLOPPY. TOYOTA SAYS THEY "FIXED" IT. CAR FEELS "TWITCHY". ON CROWNED ROADS YOU WILL PULL HARD TO WHATEVER SIDE THE ROAD LEANS TO. I HAVE PARKED THE VEHICLE - TOO SCARY TO DRIVE LONG DISTANCES. THERE ARE A COUPLE OTHER NON-SAFETY RELATED PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR - SHARP RATTLE FROM REAR PASSENGER SIDE, VIBRATION IN STEERING WHEEL, BRAKE IS SOFT. *JB
AFTER HEARING THE BRAKES SQUEAK, THEREAFTER THEY DID NOT HOLD AS EFFECTIVELY, HOWEVER, THE BRAKES WERE NOT INSPECTED.*AK
WHEN SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR THE TRANSMISSION WILL HESITATE FOR A SECOND OR TWO. AT THE SAME TIME THE WHOLE DRIVE TRAIN WILL SHUDDER. THE HESITATION WILL HAPPEN JUST AS I PULL INTO TRAFFIC FROM A SIDE ROAD. I HAVE HAD THE CAR AT TOYOTA SERVICE THREE TIMES, AND ALL THEY HAVE DONE IS TO CAUSE THE TRANSMISSION TO LEAK OIL. *JB
CAR CONTINUOUSLY PULLS TO THE LIFT. THIS CAUSES THE CAR TO WANT TO TURN ACCROSS THE CENTER LINE INTO THE FACE OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. TOYOTA MOTORS AND TOYOTA SERVICE KEEPS STAGGERING THE TIRE PRESSURE (2 1/2 POUNDS LESS ON ONE SIDE OF THE CAR THEN THE OTHER). THIS HAS ME VERY CONCERNED ABOUT MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS ON THE ROAD.*AK
THROTTLE LAG AT LOW SPEED AND FROM STOP IS INCONSISTANT AND HAS BEEN THE CAUSE FOR SEVERAL CLOSE CALLS WHEN PULLING INTO TRAFFIC. MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED; DEALER INVESTIGATED; STATES THIS IS NORMAL AND NOTHING CAN BE DONE, THAT LAG IS "ACCEPTABLE". SOME INSTANCES HAVE BEEN SEVERAL SECONDS BEFORE ACTUAL THROTTLE RESPONSE. DRIVER HAS TO USE HARDER ACCELERATION TO COMPENSATE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THIS IS A SAFTEY ISSUE THAT TOYOTA IS AWARE OF BUT DECLINES TO ADMIT IT IS A PROBLEM. DRIVER IS VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS ISSUE WILL BE CAUSE OF AN ACCIDENT. *NM
I RENTED A 2004 TOYOTA CAMRY WITH APPROXIMATELY 9400 MILES FROM HERTZ LOCAL EDITION ON N DALE MABRY AVE IN TAMPA FL. ABOUT 45 MINUTES LATER, I WAS ON MY WAY TO ORLANDO WITH MY 11 MONTH OLD SON VIA INTERSTATE 4 WHEN I HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. I MOVED OVER TO THE LAST LANE SO I COULD TAKE THE NEXT EXIT TO CHECK THE CAR WHEN I HEARD AND SAW THE BACK LEFT TIRE EXPLODE. DUE TO THE EXPLOSION THE CAR JERKED TOWARDS THE RIGHT SO FAST THAT I ALMOST ENDED UP IN A LARGE DITCH ON THE SIDE OF I-4. I CALLED EMERGENCY SERVICES AND REPORTED THE INCIDENT AND LATER THAT DAY RETURNED THE CAR FOR A REPLACEMENT. I HAD BOTH OF THE RESERVATIONISTS LOOK AT THE TIRE AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT IT LOOKED AS IF IT HAD EXPLODED FROM THE INSIDE OUT. I RECEIVED AND EMAIL FROM HERTZ, WHICH BASICALLY STATED THAT THEIR SORRY FOR THE PROBLEM, THEY INSPECT THEIR CARS, AND SOMETIMES THINGS CAN HAPPEN. *JB

CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT AN ACCELERATION PROBLEM. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH DRIVER WOULD STEP ON THE ACCELERATOR AND THE VEHICLE WOULD BEGAN TO HESITATE. THEN, THE SPEED WOULD CONTINUE TO DECREASE EVEN WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS PUSHED DOWN TO THE FLOOR. THIS HAPPENED WITHOUT WARNING. OWNER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND THE DEALER. THE DEALER HAS HAD THE VEHICLE FOR A MONTH. HOWEVER, THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE SHIFTING FROM PARK TO REVERSE THE VEHICLE SURGED BACKWARDS. THE CONTACT SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES TO STOP THE VEHICLE. WHEN EVER THE VEHICLE WAS POSITIONED ON AN INCLINE AND THE CONSUMER MOVED HER FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, THE VEHICLE ROLLED BACKWARDS BEFORE SHE WAS ABLE TO APPLY THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL'. DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY INFORMED HER THAT WAS THE NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THAT VEHICLE. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. *JB *TC
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE EXITING A PARKING GARAGE AT SPEEDS OF 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BECAME STUCK IN POSITION. SHE CONTACTED HER LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER AND THEY ADVISED HER THAT IT WOULD BE SAFE FOR HER TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME WITHIN THREE HOURS, A DRIVE THAT USUALLY WOULD HAVE TAKEN HER 25 MINUTES, AS ADVISED BY HER DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY MADE REPAIRS UNKNOWN TO HER. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 30,000.
THERE IS A STRONG SMELL COMING THROUGH THE DEFOGGER SYSTEM OF THE VEHICLE, WHICH IS CAUSING THE DRIVER TO BECOME NAUSEAS. VEHICLE TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR CHECKUP, BUT THE CAUSE IS UNDETERMINED. *NM

WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH CONSUMER'S WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION. UPON IMPACT, BOTH FRONTAL AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. DRIVER SUSTAINED MAJOR INJURIES, AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO A HOSPITAL. DRIVER'S HUSBAND DROVE THE VEHICLE TO A GARAGE. *AK *TC
THE DRIVER WAS PULLING INSIDE OF THE DRIVEWAYAND VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. CONSUMER APPLIED BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKE PEDAL IN ORDER TO STOP, AND VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE INTO THE GARAGE WALL. CONSUMER WAS NOT INJURED. CONSUMER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC STATED THAT THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. CONSUMER INFORMED THE MECHANIC THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED MORE THAN ONCE, AND HAD NOT BEEN RESOLVED. MECHANIC INFORMED CONSUMER THAT A REPRESENTATIVE WOULD COME DOWN TO INSPECT THIS VEHICLE. *AK
BREAK PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. CAR TAKES AN EXCESSIVE DISTANCE TO STOP FROM FREEWAY SPEEDS. DEALER SAYS ALL 2004 TOYOTA CAMRYS DO THIS. THEY SAY THERE IS NO PROBLEM. LETS DO SOMETHING BEFORE SOMEONE DIES INSTEAD OF AFTER SOMEONE DIES. *JB
THERE IS A HAZE ON MY WINDSHIELD AND INTERIOR WINDOWS. I HAVE CLEANED THE WINDOWS BUT THE HAZE REAPPEARS. DEALER SAYS THE PROBLEM IS "VINYL OUT GASSING PER TOYOTA TECH ASSISTANCE. DEALER SAYS PROBLEM COULD LAST FROM 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR AND THE PROBLEM CAN NOT BE CORRECTED. THE HAZE IMPAIRS MY VISION ESPECIALLY AT DUSK AND AT NIGHT. THE PROBLEM SUBSTANTIALLY IMPAIRS THE USE AND MARKET VALUE OF THE VEHICLE. THE "GASSING" PROBLEM IS ALSO A HEALTH ISSUE. I WILL NOT DRIVE AT NIGHT BECUASE OF THE VISION PROBLEM. I RARELY DRIVE DURING THE DAY AND ONLY WITH THE CONVERTIBLE TOP DOWN BECAUSE OF THE "GASSING" PROBLEM. *AK
NEW CAR PURCHASED. BRAKE PEDAL CLEARANCE IS 1" FROM FLOOR. OWNER'S MANUAL SPECIFICATION IS 2.5" MINIMUM. TOYOTA SERVICE DECLARES NO PROBLEM EXISTS.*AK
