TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT BRAKES WERE EMITTING A LOUD NOISE INTERMITTENTLY AND THE ABS SENSOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO NEITHER REPLICATE NOR DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. IN A DIFFERENT OCCASION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED AND THE BRAKES FAILED TO ENGAGE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT ALL OF THE SENSORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS THE VEHICLE FINALLY CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE CONTACTS RESIDENCE TO ANOTHER AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO REPLACED THE FRONT BRAKES. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE AUTHORIZED DEALER LATER INDICATED THAT THE ABS MODULATOR ASSEMBLY AND THE SKID CONTROL ECU NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE SEVERAL TIMES TO NO AVAIL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY WHEN ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH LIT UP ON MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID WITH 67K MILES AND THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT STRANGE. I PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF THE CAR. RESTARTED IT, JUST TO FIND THE THAT THE WARNING LIGHTS WERE STILL ON, AND THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL STILL FELT STRANGE/DIFFERENT. I THEN DROVE HOME VERY SLOWLY AND CALLED THE DEALER. THIS IS THE SAME DEALER THAT HAS DONE ALL THE SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED IT AS AN ABS BRAKE ACCUMULATOR HYDRAULIC PART THAT COST OVER $2500. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO PROPERLY RESPOND TO DECELERATION ATTEMPTS. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL, BRAKES FAILED, AND ABS FAILED LIGHTS ILLUMINATED DURING THE INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES BUT THE DEFECT COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS ACTUATOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
MY ENGINE HAS A DEFECT. IT IS BURNING OIL. I BURNED 2 QUARTS, ALTHOUGH I HAVE SERVICED THE CAR REGULAR WITH SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE INTERVAL.I WENT TO DEALERSHIP, BEV SMITH TOYOTA IN FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA ON FEBUARY 02, 2013. THEY SAID THE VEHICLE ENGINE LACKED 2 QUARTS OF OIL, WHICH THEY ADDED. MY CONTACT ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 02, 2013 WAS JAMES BADILLO WHO IS THE CUSTOMER RELATIONS MANAGER AT THE FACILITY ADVISED ME SINCE THE ENGINE IS BURNING OIL, PISTON RINGS WILL NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS NOT NORMAL. THERE IS A DEFECT IN ONE OR MORE COMPONENT OF THE ENGINE WHICH IS CAUSING OIL LEAK INTERNALLY THAT TOYOTA SHOULD FIND THE CAUSE AND PAY FOR THE REPAIR. PLEASE MAKE THEM ISSUE A RECALL/COVER COST OF NECESSARY REPAIRS. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE, THERE ARE MANY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY OWNERS WHO HAVE DEFECTIVE ENGINE PER MY RESEARCH ONLINE WITH THE SAME ISSUE OF BURNING OIL. I HAVE FOLLOWED RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE ON THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE LIFETIME OF MY OWNERSHIP OF THIS CAR SINCE I PURCHASED IT NEW ON AUGUST 07, 2007 FROM BEV SMITH TOYOTA. I OWN CAMRY SE 2007. DASHBOARD OF THE CAR IS STARTING TO MELT, SURFACE IS VERY STICKY, SHINY AND WHEN TOUCHED WITH FINGER IT IS COMING OFF LIKE A GLUE. WHILE DRIVING THE SURFACE IS SO SHINY IT CREATES VERY BRIGHT GLARE FROM SUN LIGHT, SOMETIMES IT BLINDS DRIVER'S ROAD VISIBILITY CREATING A POTENTIAL ROAD HAZARD DASHBOARD SURFACE HAS TURNED INTO A VERY SOFT MATERIAL AND IT CAN BE EASILY SCRAPED OFF TO EXPOSE THE UNDERLYING INSULATION. *TR

IN DRIVEWAY AT OUR HOME PASSENGER WENT TO MOVE VISOR AND DISCOVERED THE PART OF THE VISOR THAT SITS IN THE HOLDER TO KEEP IT IN PLACE WAS NO LONGER FIRM AND APPEARED TO BE COMING APART. IN ORDER NOT TO MAKE THE VISOR INOPERABLE, THE OWNERS DETERMINED NOT TO TRY TO MOVE THE VISOR TO KEEP IT FROM BECOMING FURTHER IMPAIRED. NOW WHEN THE SUN IS COMING INTO THE CAR WINDOW FROM THE SIDE MAKING PASSENGER OR DRIVER VISION DIFFICULT, THE VISOR IS OF NO USE IN BLOCKING IT. *TR
THE RIDERS SIDE FRONT LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHT OPERATES INTERMITTENTLY. WE RECEIVED A FIX IT TICKET; BUT THE LIGHT WORKED THE NEXT DAY AND GOT THE TICKET SIGNED OFF. HOWEVER THE RIDERS SIDE LOW BEAM LIGHT CONTINUES TO WORK AND NOT WORK INTERMITTENTLY. OUT MECHANIC TOLD US THE HIGH INTENSITY LIGHT MODULE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT SEEMS TO ME THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE TOYOTA SHOULD ADDRESS. *TR

THE CONTACT APPLIED THE BRAKE CONSTANTLY IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. ON THE SECOND RECURRENCE OF THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE ENGINE OFF TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED, BUT THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO GENERATE A FAILURE CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. APPROXIMATELY 10K MILES AGO I NOTICED THAT THE OIL LIGHT ON MY 2007 CAMRY CAME ON APPROXIMATELY 1,000 MILES BEFORE THE SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE *(SCHEDULED EVERY 5000 MILES). I REFILLED IT AND IT TOOK OVER THREE QUARTS OF OIL. WHEN I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALER FOR ITS OIL CHANGE, I MENTIONED IT. NOTHING WAS SAID AND THE OIL CHANGE PROCEEDED. THE NEXT OIL CHANGE CYCLE, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I DID SOME INTERNET RESEARCH AND FOUND NUMEROUS THREADS ON REPUTABLE BOARDS (EXAMPLE: HTTP://TOWNHALL-TALK.EDMUNDS.COM/DIRECT/VIEW/.F1848AA) WHICH SHOWED THAT I DID NOT EXPERIENCE AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. THERE IS A TOYOTA TSB COVERING THIS PROBLEM, AND NEWER ENGINES HAVE REDESIGNED PISTONS: T-SB-0094-11. I HAVE USED THE DEALER SINCE DAY 1 TO SERVICE THE TOYOTA, AND THEY CONCEALED THE FACT THAT THIS CAR WAS BURNING OIL THROUGHOUT THE YEARS (JIFFY LUBE REPORTS THE OIL LEVELS REMOVED FROM MY 1996 BRONCO, WHICH MAY USE A 1/2 QUART IN 3K MILES). I STARTED AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST 1000 MILES AGO - TOYOTA STATED TODAY THAT THE CAR USED 'APPROXIMATELY 1/2 QUART IN 1105 MILES' WHICH IS 'NORMAL CONSUMPTION PER TOYOTA.' IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE AN ENGINE SEIZES (DUE TO EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION) ON AN INTERSTATE, IN AN INTERSECTION, CROSSING A TRAIN TRACK, OR PASSING A VEHICLE ON A COUNTRY ROAD RESULTING IN A FATAL ACCIDENT. IS IT NECESSARY FOR A FATAL ACCIDENT TO OCCUR BEFORE TOYOTA IS FORCED TO CORRECT THEIR DESIGN FLAW? *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA SOLARA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEAD LIGHTS WOULD SPORADICALLY FAIL, MAKING IT DIFFICULT FOR THE CONTACT TO SEE THE ROADWAY WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT TURNING THE HEAD LIGHT SWITCH OFF AND ON WOULD CORRECT THE DEFECT TEMPORARILY BEFORE RECURRING. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO REPLACED THE LIGHT BULBS FOR THE HEAD LIGHTS BUT THE DEFECT WAS NOT REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
THE VSC LIGHT APPEARED & THE CAR LOST BRAKES. LIKE OTHERS, I HAVE EXPERIENCED FAILURE OF THE BRAKE ACTUATOR / BOOST ACCUMULATOR. ALTHOUGH THE BRAKES WORK TO A DEGREE, THERE IS NO BOOST. DESPITE APPLICATION OF MY MAXIMUM EFFORT TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL, STOPPING DISTANCES ARE VERY LONG AND STOPPING SPEEDS ARE VERY SLOW. I CONSIDER THE CAR DANGEROUS TO DRIVE & HAS BEEN SHELVED PENDING NHTSA REVIEW. REPORTS ARE THAT TOYOTA HAS KNOWN OF THIS PROBLEM & HAS REFUSED TO ADDRESS IT NHTSA SHOULD REQUIRE THAT TOYOTA REPLACE THIS PART AT NO COST TO THE CONSUMER IN VIEW OF TOYOTAS UNCONSCIONABLE BEHAVIOR. *TR
VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW AND HAS PERFORMED WELL TO THIS POINT BUT THE OTHER DAY THE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT FLASHED A COUPLE TIMES. A CHECK SHOWED THE LEVEL COMPLETELY OFF THE STICK AND TOOK 2.5 QUARTS TO FILL. ENGINE OIL HAD JUST BEEN CHANGED 2500 MILES PREVIOUS TO THIS. SINCE FILLING TO THE MARK, IT HAS USED AN ADDITIONAL .5 QUARTS IN THE LAST 500 MILES. CAR IS GARAGED WHEN NOT BEING DRIVEN AND DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE LEAKING (NO SPOTS ON GARAGE FLOOR). SOME SOOT IN TAIL PIPE BUT IS NOT SMOKING. I HAVE OWNED ~9 DIFFERENT CARS AND NEVER HAD ONE USE OIL LIKE THIS. INFORMATION ON TOYOTA'S WEB SITE INDICATES THIS IS NORMAL. VEHICLE SHOULD BE RECALLED WITH DEFECTIVE ENGINE. *TR
THERE IS A LEAK IN THE ABS ACCUMULATOR THAT CAUSES MY BRAKES TO PULSE AND A ALARM TO SOUND, WHICH IS A LOUD WHINING NOISE. I HAVE HAD MY ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS REPLACES BUT THAT DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE, MY MECHANIC THINKS IS IT THE ACCUMULATOR, WHICH COST 1800 DOLLARS JUST FOR THE PART. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND SEEN HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PART ONLINE. I CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY 2K FOR A REPAIR AT THIS TIME AND I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR BUT I HAVE NO CHOICE DUE TO MY WORK AND NEED TO COMMUTE. *TR UPDATE 6/27/2013: THE PROBLEM IS PERSISTENT NOW AND THE BRAKE PEDAL PULSES AS IF IT IS PUSHING BACK WHEN STEP DOWN ON IT, IT DEFINITELY AFFECTS MY BREAKING DISTANCE. I HAVE TO START BREAKING MUCH SOONER THAN NORMAL. VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AS THE COST ACTUALLY HAS BEEN QUOTED BY DCH TOYOTA OF OXNARD SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 6/8/13 FOR $3,250.00 TO REPLACE ABS ACTUATOR SYSTEM. PART WAS 2399.00 ALONE. UPDATED 7/31/13 *CN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH IN AN ATTEMPT TO STEER FROM CRASHING INTO AN ANIMAL, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A WALL. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE HEAD AND CHEST. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED HOWEVER, IT WAS SCHEDULED FOR INSPECTION TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO PROBLEMS WITH ENGINE STALLING. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE LAST TIME THE VEHICLE STALLED, IT WOULD NOT RE-START AND THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER BLAMED THE CONSUMER FOR HAVING THE VEHICLE TUNED-UP AT A SERVICE STATION, WHERE THEY MAY HAVE USED GREEN ANTI-FREEZE FLUID, INSTEAD OF PINK ANTI-FREEZE THAT TOYOTA USED. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED GREEN ANTI-FREEZE WOULD CORRODE THE TANK. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED A RE-BUILT ENGINE WOULD COST $ 7287.66. THE CONSUMER AGREED TO THE PRICE AND FINALLY PICKED THE VEHICLE UP ON FEBRUARY 11, 2013. THE NEXT DAY, WHEN THE CONSUMER STARTED THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE WAS LEAKING FLUIDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER STATED THEY TIGHTENED UP SOME LOOSE AREAS AND THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE CONSUMER.

I WAS DRIVING HOME ON A RAINY DAY AND WHEN I TRIED TO BRAKE, THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIVE AND I HAD TO DRIVE OFF THE HIGHWAY TO AVOID HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE. WHEN I PROCEEDED TO ACCELERATE, THE PEDAL GOT STUCK AND KEPT ACCELERATING. I TOOK IT TO THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME NOTHING WAS WRONG AND THEY COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE SAME SCENARIO. INSTEAD THEY GAVE ME A LIST OF OTHER "ISSUES" THAT NEEDED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF. I KINDLY DECLINED. *TR
OIL SIGN ON DASH WAS LIGHTING UP (ON AND OFF) - CHECKED OIL IN VEHICLE - TOTALLY EMPTY . NO OIL LEAKS EVER ! HAVE NO IDEA WHERE IT WENT . I HAD LAST OIL CHANGE AROUND 3,000 MILES AGO. LAST COUPLE OF TIMES I HAD MY OIL CHANGES DONE - SERVICE TECHNICIANS STATED THAT MY ENGINE OIL WAS EXTREMELY LOW , AND THAT THEY SAW NO LEAKS . I WENT ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND SCORES OF THE SAME COMPLAINT , ABOUT THE 2007 CAMRY , 4 CYL.. JUDGING BY ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS I'VE READ IT IS QUITE APPARENT THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO TOYOTA'S ATTENTION . THESE VEHICLES SHOULD BE RECALLED AND PROPERLY FIXED. *TR
WHEN TURNING ON A/C A MILDEWY LIKE SMELL WOULD OCCUR BUT DISAPPEAR. THEN ONLY ONE HALF OF CAR WOULD COOL. VENTS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE PRODUCED HOT AIR; VENTS ON PASSENGER SIDE PRODUCED COOL AIR. THIS PROGRESSED TO A STRANGE CHEMICAL GASSY TYPE SMELL, NOT A FUEL GAS SMELL, INCOMPARABLE TO ANYTHING I HAVE SMELLED BEFORE. WHILE TRYING TO ALLOW THE PASSENGER TO REMAIN COOL, THIS GAS ENTERED THE CAR CABIN AND BEGINS TO MAKE YOU SLEEPY. AFTER EXPERIENCING THIS SEVERAL TIMES, I NO LONGER USE THE AIR CONDITIONER AS I HAD BECOME TOO SLEEPY TO DRIVE ON ONE OCCASION. I TOOK MY CAR TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP. I WAS INFORMED THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE EVAPORATOR. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY EVAPORATOR. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE TJE CHEMICAL GASSY SMELL, I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOTHING. *TR
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK IN THE EARLY MORNING, ALL OF A SUDDEN ENGINE STARTED MAKING SOME WIRED NOISE AND WITHIN NEXT 2 MIN VEHICLE STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF FREEWAY (SOMEHOW MANAGED TO PULL IT OUT TO SHOULDER) COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL INJURY, THEN TOWED THE VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP, THEY FOUND THAT ENGINE SIZED BECAUSE OF WATERPUMP BREAKDOWN,(IT DIDN'T GIVE ME NO TIME TO TAKE THAT INTO DEALER ) HOW THIS COULD HAPPEN FOR SUCH A LOW MILES AND ABT 5.5 YEARS OLD AND WELL MAINTAINED VEHICLE, WAS COMPLAINED ABT THIS TO TOYOTA BUT DIDN'T GET A SATISFACTORY ANSWERS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE DRIVING DOWN A CURVY HILL AT APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TREE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.

MY BRAKE ACCUMULATOR PUMP STARTED TO FAIL ON MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID. THIS IS A WELL DOCUMENTED WEAKNESS ON THESE CARS. THERE IS HUNDREDS OF POSTS ONLINE WITH FRUSTRATED OWNERS HAVING THIS PART FAIL (PRIUS AND CAMRY HYBRID), AND TOYOTA CLAIM THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH IT; YET WHEN IT IS REPLACED, THEY REPLACE THE PART WITH A RE-DESIGNED AND DIFFERENT PART! THE COST OF THE PART ALONE IS $1900+ AND INSTALLED BY THE DEALER IT IS ABOUT $2700! THIS PART IS ALSO UNIQUE TO THE HYBRID BRAKING SYSTEM ON THIS CAR, YET IT IS "NOT COVERED" BY THE HYBRID SYSTEM 10 YEAR 100K MILE WARRANTY. THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY RISK AS I HAVE SEEN OTHER POSTERS HAVE THEIR BRAKES FAIL AT HIGH SPEEDS DUE TO THIS ISSUE. I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AS USUAL AND NOTICED RED ENGINE OIL LIGHT CAME ON WHEN I BRAKE FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT. CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL WHEN I GOT HOME AND REALIZED THERE WAS NO OIL ON THE DIP STICK AT ALL! I ENDED UP PUTTING IN ABOUT 2 QTS OF OIL TO RETURN IT TO AN ACCEPTABLE LEVEL. AFTER RESEARCHING FOR THE PROBLEM, I FOUND OUT THERE WAS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM AND BASICALLY THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REBUILT IN ORDER TO FIX THE PROBLEM. SEEMS LIKE TOYOTA HASN'T BEEN HONEST ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS POTENTIAL PROBLEMS LATELY. PLEASE PRESSURE TOYOTA TO ISSUE A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. OTHERWISE I WILL NEVER BUY ANY TOYOTA PRODUCT AGAIN. AT THE SAME TIME, I RECALLED MY DEALERSHIP, WHERE I PURCHASED THE MAINTENANCE PACKAGE FROM, HAD PREVIOUSLY SUGGESTED THAT OIL PAN COULD HAVE BEEN LEAKING OIL. WATER LEAKING IN THE HEADLINER, CAUSING THE FOOT WELLS TO BE WET. THE DRAIN LINE FROM THE MOON ROOF "GUTTER" DISCONNECTED FROM THE DRAIN LINE PAN AND WATER DRAINS AND ACCUMULATES IN THE FOOT WELL. DURING COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS THERE IS AN EXTREME CONDENSATION BUILT-UP ON THE INTERIOR OF WINDOWS. USE OF HEATER WILL GENERATE HIGH HUMIDITY IN THE CABIN AND FOGGING OF THE WINDOW. THE FLUID IN THE CABIN ALONG WITH THE HEATING AND COOLING AT NIGHT HAS CREATED A PROBLEM CYCLE. *TR

APPROXIMATELY TOWARD THE END OF 2012 AND INTO 2013 WE STARTED TO NOTICE THAT THE ENGINE OIL LIGHT WAS COMING ON PERIODICALLY - ROUGHLY AROUND THE 65 - 70,000 MILEAGE POINT. WE BEGAN ADDING OIL, AND RE-CHECKING THE OIL AND FOUND THAT THE CAR WAS CONSUMING OIL AT A RATE OF ABOUT 1 QUART PER 2 WEEKS. I WOULD ESTIMATE BASED ON THE DISTANCE TO EMPLOYMENT THAT IT COMES TO ABOUT 1 QUART PER 600-700 MILES.
