THE AIRBAG SAFETY LIGHT HAS COME ON AND REMAINED ON FOR 2 WEEKS THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT'S A FAILED SENSOR. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A CAR CRASH. THE AIRBAG SENSOR IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN FUNCTIONAL FOR THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE. OTHERWISE, MY AIRBAG MIGHT DEPLOY UNEXPECTEDLY OR FAIL TO DEPLOY WHEN I NEED THEM.
THE ISSUE DID NOT HAPPEN ON A CONSIST BASIS UNTIL LAST MONTH. EVERYTIME I DRIVE MY CAR HESITATES. IT TAKES A MINUTE OR TWO FOR MY CAR TO ACCELERATE. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF I'M ON A LOCAL ROAD, INTERSTATE OR GOING UP A HILL. THE OUTCOME IS THE SAME.
I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT WITH A LIGHT POLE NO CAUGHT OF MINE E THE FRONT END OF MY CAR SMASHED IN AND MY AIR BAG DIDN'T DEPLOY A D WHEN MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKES AND THE CAR ACCELERATED WITH THE GAS WITH OUT ME HITTING IT.
MY CAR STALLS EVERY TIME I PULL OF FROM A RED LIGHT OR TRY TO PICK UP SPEED AFTER GOING SLOW AND JERKS AT TIMES. IT'S LIKE THE CAR IS NOT CHANGING GEARS

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 TOYOTA CAMRY HV. WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED BUT WAS STIFF AND THE ENGINE REEVED UP. THE VEHICLE WENT ACROSS A THREE LANE HIGHWAY AND CRASHED INTO A CURB WITHOUT WARNING. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO REPORTED INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CLONINGER TOYOTA LOCATED AT 511 JAKE ALEXANDER BLVD S, SALISBURY, NC 28147, PHONE NUMBER: (704) 754-4342 BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY DEEMED THE VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.

I WAS APPROACHING A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT AND WAS TRYING TO USE MY BRAKES WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF TE BRAKES PEDAL.MY FOOT PUSHED THE BRAKES PEDAL AND THE GAS PEDAL. THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE EDGE OF THE BRAKES PEDAL AND GAS PEDAL IS ONLY 2.5 INCH. THE BRAKES BOOSTER PUSHED THE BRAKES PEDAL DOWN TO THE SAME HEIGHT AS THE GAS PEDAL.

THE MOON ROOF GLASS OF TOYOTA CAMRY 2013 HYBRID EXPLODED (WITH A BOMB LIKE SOUND) AND WAS SHATTERED TO PIECES, WHEN DRIVING ON A 4-LANE HIGHWAY AT 60 MPH, ON A PARTLY CLOUDY DAY AT AROUND 4:00 PM. NORMAL TRAFFIC WITH LIKE SIZED VEHICLES, NO OTHER VEHICLE IN THE ADJACENT LANES, NO LARGER VEHICLES IN THE PROXIMITY.
ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 10, AROUND 02:05AM IN HUNTINGTON AVENUE AND PARKER HILL AVENUE IN BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS. I WAS AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT ON RED, FOOT ON BRAKE AND THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND IMMEDIATELY I STEPPED ON THE ACCELERATOR MY CAR SPED OFF OVER 70MPH WHICH I KNOW ON THE CITY ROAD ON A RAINY DAY IT IS A 25MPH ZONE. IN AN ATTEMPT TO SLOW DOWN WITH BRAKES MY CAR STARTED SPINNING , IT CIRCLED IN THE SAME HIGH SPEED ABOUT THREE TIMES, STOPPED AND RETURNED TO NORMAL. FORTUNATELY FOR US IT WAS AN EMPTY STREET DURING THAT EARLY HOURS AND THANK GOD IT DID NOT CRASH INTO ANY PERSON OR PROPERTY. WE CONTINUED TO THE FINAL DESTINATION WITHOUT ANY ISSUES.
WHEN VEHICLE STOP AND THEN ACCELERATE, AT AROUD 2000RPM IT STALLS AND RPM DROPS ABOUT TO1800RPM THEN SUDDENLY ACCELERATE.
MY CAR GOT 3 LIGHTS ON ( EMERGENCY BRAKE, TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS LIGHT ON) THEN AFTER THAT THE POWER FOR THE STEERING WHEEL STOP AND BECOMES VERY HEAVY AND NOT DRIVABLE.
I HAVE A TOYOTA CAMERY 2013. I HAVE NO ACCIDENT AT ALL SINCE I BOUGHT THIS CAR. BUT ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO, MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AUTOMATICALLY WITH ON REASON. I FELT MY LIFE IS IN DANGER BECAUSE IF THERE IS A COLLISION HAPPENS, MY AIRBAG WONT PUMP OUT. I HAVE VISITED TO DIFFERENT CAR DEALOR. THEY SAID THE WIRE CIRCUIT MIGHT BE WRONG SINCE THEY TRIED TO SWITCH AIRBAG MODULES OR THE SENSOR NOTHING WORKS SO FAR. I ASSUME THE AIRBAG WHICH IS THE KEY COMPONENT FOR OUR DRIVERS' SAFETY SHOULD BE MORE ROBUST THAN WHAT I EXPERIENCED.
THIS COMPLAINT IS TRUE FOR NOT ONLY MY CAMRY, BUT ALSO FOR MANY IF NOT MOST MODELS AND MAKES TODAY. THERE HAS BEEN CONSIDERABLE JUSTIFIED EMPHASIS ON THE DANGERS OF USING CELL PHONES IN VEHICLES AND TEXTING WHILE DRIVING BECAUSE THE DRIVER IS DISTRACTED FROM THE ROAD. HOWEVER, AT THE SAME TIME, VEHICLE CONTROLS FOR FEATURES LIKE RADIO AND AIR CONDITIONING (TO NAME JUST TWO) HAVE BECOME MORE AND MORE DISTRACTING AND DANGEROUS. YEARS AGO, YOU PUSHED A BUTTON FOR THE RADIO CHANNEL. NOW YOU MUST LOOK AT AN LED DISPLAY THAT'S OFTEN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE (SO YOU STARE AT IT) IN ORDER TO CHANGE RADIO CHANNELS. SAME WITH A/C CONTROLS; INSTEAD OF A BIG KNOB WHERE YOU CHANGE SETTINGS BY TOUCH AND FEEL, YOU NOW HAVE TO STARE AT A TINY LED SCREEN TO DETERMINE WHAT A/C MODE YOU ARE SELECTING. I CAN ELECT NOT TO USE MY CELL PHONE, BUT I WILL CONTINUE TO STRUGGLE TO SEE TINY LED DISPLAYS SO I CAN CHANGE A/C MODES OR RADIO CHANNELS OR SELECTIONS. NHTSA SHOULD TAKE THE LEAD IN REVERSING THIS DANGEROUS TREND.
DRIVING ON A SMOOTH ROAD WHEN CAR REACHES BETWEEN 35 AND 40 MILES PER HOUR THE TRANSMISSION STARTS TO SHUDDLE MAKING IT SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE DRIVING ON A BUMPY ROAD FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS WHICH IS SCARY WHEN U FEEL THE VIBRATION.
VEHICLE HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATING. SHORTLY AFTER STARTING MY CAR, MY CAR WILL HESITATE TO ACCELERATE AT AROUND 20 MPH. IT WILL NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR AND EVEN IF I PUSH THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR, IT STILL WILL NOT GO. I HAVE TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE PEDAL AND PUSH IT REPEATEDLY TO GET IT TO GO. FINALLY IT WILL CATCH UP AND DO SO VICIOUSLY. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME WHILE PULLING OUT ONTO THE HIGHWAY AND ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED. I HAVE A 14 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER WHO RIDES IN THE BACKSEAT AND I FEEL SO UNSAFE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TO ONE OTHER MECHANIC AND THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE NOR ARE ANY CODES BEING THROWN. PLEASE RECALL THIS VEHICLE. ALSO, THIS HAPPENS A LOT WHEN GOING AT A STEEP INCLINE.
DRIVER SIDE BACKSEAT PASSENGER WINDOW SEAT THE SEATBELT IS LOOSE AND DOESN'T RETRACT BACK INTO PLACE. HYBRID BATTERY AND TRANSMISSION SYSTEM STUTTERS AFTER SYSTEM FLUSH AT DEALER CAUSING THE HYBRID SYNERGY SYSTEM CHECK, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND ESLAMATION LIGHT IN ORANGE TO STAY ON DASH. ERROR STATING THAT BATTERY NEEDS REPLACEMENT FOR HYBRID BATTERY
MY BOYFRIEND WAS DRIVING MY 2013 TOYOTA CAMRY SE ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN OUT OF WITHOUT WARNING THE ABS, BRAKE AND TRACTION LIGHTS CAME ON; THE STEERING WHEEL TIGHTENED AND HE COULD BARELY GET THE CAR TO TURN ONTO THE ON RAMP TO GET OFF AT THE NEXT EXIT. WE ALSO REALIZED THAT THE AIR CONDITIONING IS NO LONGER WORKING AS WELL THE GAUGES ON THE DASHBOARD. CONSIDERING WE WERE DRIVING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND THE POWER STEERING BASICALLY BECAME INOPERABLE, IT WAS VERY SCARY AND UNSAFE. I SPOKE WITH TOYOTA ABOUT THE RECALL ON THE 2013 VEHICLES FOR THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER AND WAS TOLD THAT MY VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN THAT PROBLEM. HOWEVER THE CAR WAS REPAIRED FOR THAT RECALL IN 2014, WHICH WAS PRIOR TO ME OWNING THE CAR. AFTER, THE CAR HAS BEEN REPAIR UNDER A RECALL, THERE'S A ONE YEAR WARRANTY ON THAT REPAIR. SO WE'RE BASICALLY OUT OF LUCK AND HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS REPAIR OURSELVES.
WHEN I'M DRIVING AFTER AROUND 40 MPH. MY CAR SPEED SENSOR SHAKING
THE CAR STUTTERS REALLY BAD AT LOW SPEEDS, I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID I WAS OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY BY TWO WEEKS BUT IT WAS THE TORQUE CONVERTER, I HAVE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM OFF AND ON FOR YEARS BUT THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING SMALL BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T LAST LONG, HOWEVER FOR THE PAST 3 MONTHS OR SO IT HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE AND DOES IT EVERY TIME, WE THOUGHT WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTICS WHICH IS OVER $100 WHICH IS WHY WE DIDN'T TAKE IT SOONER, HOWEVER THE DAY THAT WE TOOK IT THEY SAID IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY BY 2 WEEKS AND WHEN WE CALLED TOYOTA THEY WOULD NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH MY YEAR MAKE AND MODEL TOYOTA, JUST ASKING FOR HELP GETTING THIS HAZARDOUS AND SAFETY ISSUE RECALLED.
MY FAMILY AND I HEARD SOMETHING LIKE A GUNSHOT THAT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS VERY CLOSE TO OUR HOUSE. WE WERE TOO AFRAID TO GO OUTSIDE OR LOOK OUT THE WINDOWS. BECAUSE MY CAR WASN'T BEING DRIVEN MUCH AT THE TIME, A DAY OR 2 LATER I DISCOVERED MY SUNROOF HAD EXPLODED WHILE THE CAR WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY. THAT EXPLAINED THE SOUND WE HEARD PREVIOUSLY.
WHILE MY CAR WAS SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY, MY SUNROOF EXPLODED. IF I HAD BEEN DRIVING, THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS. THE EVENING BEFORE I HEARD A "POP". THAT NIGHT, I COULD NOT LOCATE THE SOURCE. THE NEXT MORNING, I REALIZED MY SUNROOF HAD SHATTERED. I CONTACTED TOYOTA. THEY TOOK A REPORT, BUT I DON'T THINK THEY TOOK ME SERIOUSLY.
MY TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID HAS HAD EPISODIC BRAKING PROBLEMS. AFTER STARTING THE CAR AND DRIVING FOR A FEW MINUTES, OCCASIONALLY WHEN I STEP ON THE BRAKES TO SLOW/STOP THE CAR THE BRAKE PEDDLE NEEDS TO BE PUSHED DOWN TO THE FLOOR. WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING I CAN HEAR THE ENGINE REVVING. IT IS NECESSARY TO PUSH EXTREMELY HARD ON THE BRAKE PEDDLE TO STOP THE CAR. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO MCGEORGE TOYOTA AND AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP FOR THIS PROBLEM. NEITHER FOUND ANY COMPUTER CODES INDICATING THE PROBLEM. TOYOTA REMOVED AND LUBRICATED THE SLIDE PINS FOR THE CALIPHERS AND THEN REINSTALLED THE PINS. THIS PROBLEM CONTINUES TO OCCUR. AS THIS PROBLEM IS EPISODIC, NEITHER THE DEALERSHIP NOR THE INDEPENDENT REPAIR TECHNICIAN COULD DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE REGENERATIVE BRAKING SYSTEM RELATED TO THE COMPUTER SENDING A WRONG SIGNAL CAUSING THE ENGINE TO ACCELERATE RATHER THAN ALLOWING THE CAR TO STOP NORMALLY. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL "CLOSE CALLS" WHERE THIS UNINTENDED ACCELERATION NEARLY LEAD TO MY HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME OR NOT STOPPING AT AN INTERSECTION, POTENTIALLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT OR STRIKING A PEDESTRIAN..
ON APRIL 1, 2019, WHEN ENTERING MY VEHICLE IN THE DRIVEWAY, ALONG WITH MY GRANDDAUGHTER WHO GOT IN ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, SHE CLOSED THE DOOR. I HEARD A SOUND I NEVER HEARD BEFORE. IT SOUNDED LIKE AN EMPTY PLASTIC WATER BOTTLE WAS GRAZED AS SHE SHUT THE DOOR. I DIDN'T THINK MUCH ABOUT IT UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 3 MILES LATER WHEN WE STOPPED AT A CONVENIENCE STORE. I HEARD THE SAME SOUND AS SHE GOT OUT AND SHUT THE DOOR. FROM THE DRIVERS' SIDE I OPENED AND SHUT THE DOOR AGAIN. LISTENING CAREFULLY, I HEARD THE SAME SOUND AND REALIZED THE SOUND FROM COMING FROM ABOVE MY HEAD. I SLID OPEN THE SUNROOF SHADE AND COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT I SAW. THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE GLASS OF MY SUNROOF THE SIZE OF A GOLF BALL. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT WHAT WAS MOST ASTOUNDING WAS EVERY INCH OF THE SUNROOF GLASS WAS SHATTERED. VERY PUZZLED, I EXHAUSTED ALL POSSIBILITIES OF HOW THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED, (WHICH WEREN'T MANY) AND CAME UP WITH NOTHING. NOT KNOWING AT THE TIME THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH EXPLODING SUNROOFS, I CALLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND COULDN'T GIVE THEM AN EXPLANATION OF HOW THIS HAPPENED. MY DEDUCTIBLE WAS $500, SO THE INSURANCE COMPANY COULD NOT HELP BECAUSE THEY ASSESSED THE DAMAGE AS COSTING ON AROUND $282. A FEW WEEKS LATER, I WAS FORCED TO TRY TO GET THE SUNROOF REPAIRED BECAUSE THE INTERIOR OF MY VEHICLE WAS BEING DAMAGED BECAUSE OF THE RAIN, I SEARCHED THE INTERNET FOR SOMEONE TO DO THE REPAIR.THIS IS WHEN I CAME ACROSS SEVERAL ARTICLES ON EXPLODING SUNROOFS. THAT WAS THE ONLY EXPLANATION THAT MADE SENSE OF WHY MY SUNROOF WAS BROKEN AND WHY EVERY INCH OF THE SUNROOF WAS SHATTERED. MY CAR WAS LAST DRIVEN THAT SUNDAY EVENING. NO UNKNOWN SOUNDS WERE HEARD AS THE DOORS WERE OPENED AND SHUT. THE SUNROOF HAD TO HAVE EXPLODED WHILE IN THE DRIVEWAY, SOMETIME AFTER THE CAR WAS LAST DRIVEN SUNDAY EVENING AND WHEN I AND MY GRANDDAUGHTER GOT BACK IN MONDAY MORNING AT APPROXIMATELY 6:30AM.
ON APRIL 1, 2019 I WAS TAKING MY GRANDDAUGHTER TO SCHOOL ONE MORNING. SHE GOT IN ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND SHUT THE DOOR. THE SOUND I HEARD WHEN SHE SHUT THE DOOR I HAD NEVER HEARD BEFORE. IT SOUNDED LIKE SHE HAD MAYBE GRAZED AN EMPTY PLASTIC WATER BOTTLE AS SHE SHUT THE DOOR. I DIDNT THINK MUCH ABOUT IT AGAIN UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 3 MILES LATER WHEN WE STOPPED AT A CONVENIENCE STORE. I HEARD THAT SAME NOISE WHEN SHE GOT OUT AND SHE THE DOOR. I OPENED THE DOOR MYSELF, LISTENED CAREFULLY AND REALIZED I HAD A HOLE IN THE GLASS OF MY SUNROOF THE SIZE OF A GOLF BALL. I OPENED THE DOOR MYSELF, LISTENED CAREFULLY AND REALIZED I HAD A HOLE IN THE GLASS OF MY SUNROOF THE SIZE OF A GOLF BALL. PURCHASED USED CAMRY FROM CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP/RAM, 8701 ABERCORN ST., SAVANNAH, GA. THE DEALERSHIP HAD REPLACED THE TIRES, 4 EACH, WITH NEXEN NPR/Z AH5, 215/55R17, MAER 4618, DOT 8E8V. MY PURCHASE DATE WAS 11FEB2019 AND THE VEHICLE HAD 59,554 MILES. AT 60,325 MILES (729 MILES ON THE TIRES), DRIVING BACK FROM THE LICENSE PLATE OFFICE AT APPROXIMATELY 45MPH, I HEARD AIR EXITING MY LEFT FRONT TIRE AND THEN THE TIRE WAS IMMEDIATELY FLAT. I TOOK THE SAID TIRE TO CDJR DEALERSHIP FOR A TIRE REPLACEMENT AND THE ACCUSED ME OF HITTING A POTHOLE, NO POTHOLE WAS HIT AND EVENTUALLY THE DEALER REPLACED THE TIRE WITH NO FURTHER ISSUES. TIS PAST FRIDAY NIGHT AFTER COMING HOME FROM WORK (05/31/2019) GETTING MY PERSONAL EQUIPMENT FROM MY CAR AND WITH 63,052 (3456 MILES), I NOTICED A BULGE ON THE RIGHT HAND TIRE AT NIGHT, NO POTHOLE HAS BEEN HIT. THE BULGE IS SIMILAR TO THE TIRE THAT BLEW OUT, THE BEAD IS SEPARATING FROM THE WHEEL. I HAVE HAD 2 OF 4 NEXEN 215/55R17 THAT HAVE FAILED AND THESE TIRES SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ON OUR HIGHWAY SYSTEM, VERY DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY IF DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH. STARTED WITH THE PASSENGER FRONT SEATBELT. SEATBELT WOULDN'T LOCK IN TO THE FEMALE PART HAVE TO KEEP TRYING IT UNTIL IT WORKS. DRIVER SEATBELT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM UNTIL ONE DAY A SPRING WAS STICKING OUT OF THE FEMALE PART. SEATBELT NEVER WOULD LATCH AGAIN. PASSENGER SEATBELT WILL LATCH TO THIS DAY, HOWEVER IT WILL BREAK SOON AND IS UNTRUSTWORTHY DRIVER SEATBELT WILL NOT WORK AT ALL.
I am sending this msg in regards to my 2013 Toyota Camry SE that I leased and decided to purchase after the lease ended from Toyota Heritage in Catonsville. I am experiencing problems with my torque converter. This is an issue that Toyota knew that would happen to my car and now that I am experiencing this problem Toyota doesn’t feel that they are responsible for the fix since the warranty has expired. I notice this problem in February 2019 when driving to work every morning at the same spot it felt like I was driving on the edge of the road. I figured it was road damage, because it would happen at the same spot every morning curve in the road. On March 16, 2019 due to COVID-19 we were sent home to work from home until Feb 2022. I wasn’t driving my car much due to COVID. We are now back in the office 1 day a week. In July 2022, I had my brakes done by a licensed mechanic and I informed him about the issue I was experiencing and he told me it was my torque converter, his mother has the same issue with her 2013 Camry and Toyota is aware of the problem and not paying for the repair l. In Oct or Nov, I took my car to Heritage Toyota in OM for my usual maintenance and I informed the advisor of the issue and he stated it’s my torque converter and the warranty has expired and I will be responsible for the $2000 repair. I never received the letter they claimed was sent and no one can send me proof of the letter that they was sent to me. I can’t understand how Toyota is not responsible for this problem they knew would eventually would happen and when asked why didn’t they fixed it when I was bringing my car in for maintenance I was told because I did not report there was a problem. I told the advisor it wasn’t a problem then, I am experiencing the problem now. He didn’t have an answer. I even called Toyota Corp and getting the same reply. I am now thinking my transmission is going up due to this issue. Please help me!! Thank you.

CONFUSED, I GET OFF THE HIGHWAY AND I PULLED OVER INTO THE PARKING LOT OF A WALMART AND THAT IS WHEN I SAW MY SUNROOF HAD EXPLODED FOR NO REASON! I WAS NOT PASSING OVER A BRIDGE WHEN I HEARD THE INITIAL POP NOR WAS THERE WAS NOT ANY CONSTRUCTION GOING ON NEAR WHERE I WAS WHEN I HEARD THE INITIAL POP. LUCKILY, I HAD THE SUNROOF CLOSED SO I WAS ABLE TO GET AS MUCH GLASS OUT AS I COULD. THERE WAS NO ROCK OR BRICK OR ANY OTHER DEBRIS INSIDE THE SUNROOF COMPARTMENT. ALSO, I NOTICED THAT THE GLASS IS FACING UPWARDS AND NOT DOWNWARDS.
MY 2013 TOYOTA CAMRY WILL NOT ACCELERATE WHEN I FIRST TRY TO DRIVE THE CAR IN THE MORNING OR IN THE EVENING WHEN I GET OFF WORK. IT HAS ALSO STOPPED ACCELERATING AS I WAS TRYING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN ONTO A BUSY STREET. THANKFULLY, THE CAR BEHIND ME DID NOT RUN INTO ME. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER, THE FIRST TIME THE ABS, CHECK ENGINE AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS WERE ON, BUT THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. EACH TIME I HAVE TAKEN IT BACK, I'VE BEEN TOLD THEY COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS CAR BEFORE ANYTHING BAD HAPPENS.

Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shuddered, hesitated, and failed to respond as needed, and lost automotive power while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact related the failure to the Toyota Warranty Enhancement Program Number: ZE5. The vehicle was taken to a dealer; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under warranty because the program had expired. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.

THREE OF FOUR CAR DOOR LOCKS, ALL OF WHICH SHOULD BE AUTOMATIC, HAVE STOPPED WORKING WHEN TRYING TO LOCK/UNLOCK THE CAR, BOTH WITH REMOTE AND INSIDE OF CAR USING DRIVER'S SIDE CAR LOCK BUTTONS. FORCES US TO MANUALLY LOCK/UNLOCK EACH DOOR LOCK WHEN USING THE VEHICLE AND LETTING ANY PASSENGERS IN. LOCKS HAVE TO BE MANUALLY LOCKED WHEN LEAVING THE VEHICLE AS WELL. I BELIEVE THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY MANUFACTURER REPAIR/REPLACEMENT.
