THE CONSUMER'S 2000 TOYOTA COROLLA BEGAN TO EXHIBIT ENGINE PROBLEMS FOUR MONTHS AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. *NM THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE HAD INTERNAL ENGINE DAMAGE AND IT WOULD REQUIRE REBUILDING THE ENGINE. THE REAR BRAKES WERE REPLACED. *JB
THE PROBLEM I NOTICED WITH THIS VEHICLE, WAS WITH THE BRAKES EVERY TIME I WOULD BRAKE THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP ON COMMAND THE CAR WOULD CONTINUE TO GLIDE. THIS WAS REPORTED TO THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES AND THE RESPONSE I RECEIVED WAS BASICALLY I DID NOT KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT AND I WAS IMAGINING THIS PROBLEM. UNTIL THIS DAY THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. THE SECOND INCIDENT HAPPENED WHEN MY FIANCE WAS IN AN HEAD ON COLLISION IN MY CAR, THE FRONTAL AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY AS A RESULT HE INJURED HIS NECK AND BACK. THE REPAIRS WERE DONE ON MY CAR BY THE DEALERSHIP ,AND KNOW MY AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY AND THAT ALSO HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY REFUSE TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM WHICH HAD OCCURRED AFTER MY VEHICLE HAD BEEN TAKEN TO THEM FOR REPAIRS. THE LIGHTS IN MY DASH BOARD HAVE ALMOST COMPLETELY GONE OUT. *JB
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT ANY MPH, COULD STEP ON THE BRAKES TO STOP OR TO REDUCE SPEED OF VEHICLE, BUT INSTEAD COULD HEAR NOISE COMING FROM BRAKES. DEALER WAS CONTACTED, PLEASE PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION.*AK
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD VIBRATE WHILE BRAKING, IT WAS DETERMINED BY THE DEALER THAT THE FRONT ROTORS WERE WARPED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.*AK
WHILE ENGINE IS RUNNING IF FOOT IS ON BRAKE RELEASING THE CLUTCH VEHICLE JUMPS FORWARDS. DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF PROBLEM.*AK
TWO WEEKS AGO INVOLVED IN A REAR END INCIDENT. BRAKE LIGHT WAS LIT AND WHEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER THE BRAKE PADS WERE WORN AND THE ROTORS WERE WARPED. COULD THIS HAVE PREVENTED A DELAY OR A STOP THAT MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE ACCIDENT?*AK
WHEN DRIVING 20 MPH AND UPON DEPRESSING BRAKE PEDAL TO MAKE A NORMAL STOP VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE WHICH CAUSED A REAR END COLLISION. VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE DUE TO BATTERY LEAKING. ALSO, PASSENGER'S SIDE SEAT BELT DID NOT LOCK WHICH FORCED THE PASSENGER INTO THE WINDSHIELD. VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK
WHEN DRIVING 50-55 MPH AND UPON DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO MAKE A GRAUDAL STOP, BRAKES LOCKED UP, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, AND RESULTING IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION. UPON IMPACT, NEITHER DRIVER'S SIDE NOR PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
