WHILE DRIVING THE DRIVER COLLIDED WITH THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. NEITHER FRONTAL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED ON IMPACT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE CAUSE HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED AT THIS TIME. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *NM
I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2004 TOYOTA COROLLA LE FROM BOB PAGAN/SAND DOLLAR TOYOTA, 7626 BROADWAY, GALVESTON, TX 77551 ON MAY 13, 2004 WITH 14 MILES ON ODOMETER AND DROVE IT ALL THE WAY TO PLANO, TX. WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT TO PLANO, I FELT ITS RIDE ABNORMAL, EXCESSIVE BOUNCING, VERY BUMPY AND ROUGH SIMILAR TO TURBULENCES IN A PLANE. TOYOTA BOASTS ITSELF OF TOTAL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. THESE ARE JUST SLOGANS. THEY PROVIDE SHODDY CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY REFUSED TO REPAIR CAR, REFUSED TO REFUND FULL MONEY TOWARDS BUYING ANOTHER TOYOTA AND REFUSED TO HELP BY SAYING THAT THE CAR IS DESIGNED THIS WAY. THE STEERING ALSO FELT STIFF AND TIGHT. THIS HIGHLY EXCESSIVE BOUNCING, BUMPY, SHAKY, JOLTING, TURBULENCE, VIBRATING RIDE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL. THERE IS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. TOYOTA NEEDS TO FULFILL ITS PLEDGE, OBLIGATION AND COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS CAR. I WROTE LETTERS TO TOYOTA CHAIRMAN IN JAPAN AND ALSO WROTE TO TOYOTA PRESIDENT IN THE US. TOYOTA PRESIDENT CALLED ME BUT OFFERED NO HELP AT ALL AND REFUSED TO TAKE CAR BACK AND REFUSED TO REPAIR IT TOO. THERE IS DEFINITELY A DEFECT AND IT COULD BE ASSEMBLY LINE RELATED OR SHOCK/STRUTS RELATED/ OR COULD BE TIRE RELATED. TOYOTA SUCKS AND THEIR SERVICE SUCKS. THEY MISLEAD PEOPLE IN THEIR ADS.

DEALER REPLACED THE STEERING COLUMN MECHANISM, BUT PROBLEM RECURRED. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE VIBRATED. *AK
WHILE IDLING AT A STOP LIGHT VEHICLE SURGED. *AK VEHICLE HAS HAD 600 RPM SURGES WHILE IN PARK AND WHILE AT IDLE FOR NO REASON. THE MANUFACTURER APPEARED TO BE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM WITH THE CAMRY MODELS BUT HAS RECEIVED NO REPORTS OF PROBLEMS WITH THE COROLLA. *NM
INTERMITTENT STALLING WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. CONSUMER PULLED THE VEHICLE OF THE ROAD. UNABLE TO RESTART UNTIL 30-60 SECONDS LATER. DEALER INSPECTED VEHICLE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, AND WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK
ON THREE OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START, AS A RESULT OF A DRAINED BATTERY. 1ST TIME THE DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY, 2ND TIME THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ALARM SYSTEM HAD A SHORT WIRE AND WAS FIXED. THE 3RD TIME JUST OCCURED AND WE ARE HAVING THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER.*AK
I OWN A 2004 TOYOTA COROLLA WITH ABOUT 13,000 MILES. LAST WEEK I WAS DRIVING ON A FLAT CITY STREET, GOING ABOUT 30 MPH, WHEN I HAD TO SLOW DOWN FOR A RED LIGHT. I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP WITH MY FOOT SECURELY DOWN ON THE BRAKE PAD WHEN THE ENGINE BEGAN TO REV AND THE CAR LURCHED FORWARD. THERE WAS ENOUGH SPACE BETWEEN ME AND THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. NONETHELESS, THIS CONCERNED ME BECAUSE I HAVE DETECTED THE SAME PROBLEM ONCE OR TWICE BEFORE WHILE STOPPED ON AN INCLINE. THE ASSISTANT SERVICE MANAGER AT MY TOYOTA DEALERSHIP SAID HE'S NOT AWARE OF THESE PROBLEMS, BUT I FOUND SOMETHING SIMILAR ON THE WEB CONCERNING THE CAMRYS. I AM GETTING THE CAR CHECKED OUT THIS WEEKEND. *JB
MY CAR ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS WILL NOT START AFTER TURNING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. THERE IS NO CRANKING WHATSOEVER. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS OF TURNING THE KEY, THE CAR FINALLY STARTED. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP ON THE FIRST INCIDENT AND THE NOTHING WRONG COULD BE DETECTED. IN APRIL 2006, IT HAS OCCURRED AGAIN AS THE CAR WILL NOT START UNTIL SEVERAL ATTEMPTS OF TURNING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. I AM TAKING THE CAR TO DEALERSHIP AGAIN ON MONDAY, APRIL 17TH, 2006 TO FIND OUT WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH THE CAR. *NM
THE DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR WILL NOT GO DOWN ALL THE WAY BECAUSE THE REAR VIEW MIRROR IS IN THE WAY (IT HITS IT). THIS IS A DRIVING DISTRACTION TRYING TO REPOSITION THE REAR VIEW MIRROR EVERY TIME THE SUN VISOR IS LOWERED AND RAISED.*AK

EXHUAST FROM CAR COMES INTO CAR A SULFUR SMELL WHICH MAKES PASSENGERS ILL. TOYOTA BLAMES GAS AND WILL DO NOTHING TO CORRECT PROBLEM.*AK
I DRIVE A 2004 TOYOTA COROLLA LE WITH APPROXIMATELY 900 MILES AND REAR ENDED AT 1993 HONDA ACCORD. UPON IMPACT NO DAMAGE WAS VISIBLE OR NOTED ON THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THE DRIVER DROVE AWAY WITHOUT PROBLEM. MY 2004 TOYOTA COROLLA HAS BEEN EXTENSIVELY DAMAGED WITH REPAIR COSTS EXCEEDING $10,000. THE TWO AIR BAGS BOTH DEPLOYED UPON IMPACT AND ASSOCIATED DAMAGE OCCURRED. IT APPEARS TO BE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT IN THE 2004 TOYOTA COROLLA. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE OPINIONS AND COMMENTS.
BOUGHT THE CAR NEW ON 8/30/03. HAS HAD A SULPHUR GAS SMELL AT LOW SPEED & WHEN STOPPED IN TRAFFIC INSIDE THE CAR. THIS HAPPENS WITH THE WINDOWS UP & EITHER HEAT OR AIR CONDITIONING ON. IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE WHEN THE CONTROLS ARE SET TO RECIRCULATE INSIDE AIR INSTEAD OF FRESH AIR INTAKE. CALLED DEALER 1ST TIME, THEY SAID CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDED TO BURN IN SOME. AFTER SOME TIME, THE SMELL HADN'T CHANGED, I TOOK IT TO THEIR SERVICE DEPT. THEY FOUND NO PROBLEM, SAID TO TRY A DIFFERENT BRAND OF GAS & ALSO TRY HIGHER OCTANE. I HAVE TRIED ALL THE MAJOR BRANDS OF GAS & MID-GRADE & PREMIUM GAS (WHICH THE OWNERS MANUAL SAID IS NOT REQUIRED), WITH NO CHANGE NOTICED. WE CALLED TOYOTA CUSTOMER SERVICE, WHO SAID TO CALL THE DEALER CUSTOMER SERVICE, WHICH WE DID TWICE WITH NO RESPONSE. CALLED TOYOTA CUSTOMER SERVICE BACK WITH THIS INFORMATION & THEY SAID WE COULD TRY ARBITRATION BUT THEY HAD NOT SEEN THE MANFACTURER DO ANYTHING FOR THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM & EXTENDED INTAKE OF SULPHUR FUMES CANNOT BE HEALTHY FOR ANYONE. THE INCIDENT DATE IS THE DATE THE DEALER CHECKED THE CAR.*AK
I BOUGHT A 2004 TOYOTA COROLLA TYPE S ON DECEMBER 28, 2003. I'VE HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS AND HAVE NOTICED AN EXTREMELY HORRIBLE SULFUR SMELL FROM THE VEHICLE. I HAVE ALSO HAD THE DASHBOARD RIPPED APART TWICE, AND CHECKED FOR EXTREMELY LOUD VIBRATIONS AND NOISE. THE FIRST TIME, THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOUND "NOTHING WRONG, AND HEARD NO UNUSUAL NOISES" AND THE SECOND TIME, WHEN I TEST DROVE IT WITH THE TECHNICIAN, THEY APPLIED SOME FOAM AROUND THE WIRING INSIDE THE DASH. I CAN STILL HEAR THE VIBRATIONS AND NOISE IN THE DASHBOARD WHENEVER I AM DRIVING THE VEHICLE.*AK

SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN SEPT 2003 IT EMITTED A ROTTEN EGG SMELL THROUGH THE VENTS. I WENT TO ARBITRATION IN MAY 2004 AND LOST BECAUSE THEY SAID THAT IT WAS THE DESIGN OF THE CAR. THE TOYOTA REP SAID THAT SOMEONE WOU LD BE CAONTACTING ME AND THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. NO ONE CONTACTED ME AND THE DEALER WOULD NOT RETURN MY CALLS. THE 800# CONTINUED TO SAY IT WAS THE GAS. I HAVE SUFFERED WITH HORRIBLE HEADACHES AND I LOST MY PERIPHIAL VISSION ON THREE OCASIONS. IN FEB 2005 I WAS PULLED OVER SICK FORM THE ODOR AND FI AGAIN CALLED 800#, THEY AGAIN SAID IT WAS THE GAS. I PLEADED WITH THE REP TO HELP ME AND SHE CALLED ME BACK TWO DAYS LATER WITH A NEW TSB THAT CAME OUT IN MAY 2004. THE DEALER REPROGRAMED THE ECU AND TECH SMELLED ODOR SO THEY ORDERED A NEW CAT CONVERTER REPLACED THAT A REPROGRAMED ECU AGAIN. THEY SAID IT WAS AN INTERNAL FAILURE IN MY CAT. IF THIS WAS THE CASE WHY WAS'NT MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOING OFF FOR THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF? NOW I HAVE AN ODOR OF BAD EXHAUST COMING THROUGH MY VENTS AND TOYOTA WANTS ME TO PUT IN THE SAME GAS 4XS. I DON'T FEEL SAFE IN THIS CAR AND I CAN';T IMAGINE WHAT DRIVING WITH A BAD CAT FOR OVER A YEAR HAS DONE TO MY HEALTH AND MY ENGINE. I HAVE ASKED TOYOTA TO ISSUE ME A LETTER SAYING THAT THE CAR IS SAFE SINCE I TRANSPORT CHILDREN BUT THEY REFUSED.*AK
I BOUGHT A 2004 TOYOTA COROLLA FROM TEAM TOYOTA. IT STARTED EMITTING A ROTTEN EGG SMELL. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER ON THE FIRST OCCURRENCE AND WE WERE GUARANTEED THE SMELL WOULD GO AWAY AFTER THE FIRST 5000 MILES. I THOUGHT THAT SOUNDED FISHY, SO I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE. I FOUND THAT MANY TOYOTAS ARE EMITTING THE ROTTEN EGG SMELL. SO I CONTACTED THE DEALER AGAIN. I TOLD HIM ABOUT MY FINDINGS. I ALSO TOLD THEM HOW AGGRAVATED I WAS WITH THEM ABOUT LYING TO ME. LOW AND BEHOLD THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM THE ASKED ME TO BRING THE CAR IN AGAIN TO BE CHECKED. AFTER THE CAR WAS LOOKED AT A SECOND TIME. I WAS TOLD THAT TOYOTA WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND THAT IT WAS THE GAS AND THAT THEY ARE NOT GOING TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WITH ME ANY MORE. I WAS EVEN GIVEN A LETTER STATING TOYOTAS STANCE ON THE ROTTEN EGG\SULFUR SMELL ISSUE. I HAVE SINCE CONTACTED A LAWYER AND IM IN THE PROCESS OF SUING. (THERE IS MORE TO THE STORY BUT YOU GET THE IDEA). *AK AFTER MORE RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND THAT: EPA HAS BEEN MADE AWARE OF CONCERNS REGARDING SULFUR ODORS. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT IN 2002/2003 TOYOTA REPLACED THE NICKEL BASED CATALYTIC CONVERTER LINING WITH A NON-NICKEL CONTAINING COMPOUND IN ORDER TO REDUCE THE EXPOSURE OF ITS EMPLOYEES. NICKEL IS A TOXIC COMPOUND. WE BELIEVE THAT NEW LINING CURRENTLY IN USE, SPECIFICALLY IN 2003 AND LATER TOYOTA MODELS, DOES NOT HANDLE THE SULFUR IN GASOLINE AS WELL AS THE FORMER NICKEL COMPOUND. THEREFORE RESULTING IN THE SULFUR ODOR YOU ARE NOTICING IN YOUR VEHICLE.*AK
THE MOLDING PIECE SEPERATING FROM AROUND THE RADIO. MY CAR WAS 3 MONTHS OLD WHEN THE PROBLEM WAS NOTICED. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM WORKED ON TWICE. THE SECOND TRIP IN,THE MOLDING WAS REPLACED WHICH HAS HELPED FOR THE MOST PART. AT FIRST THERE WAS A BIG GAP ON THE SIDES AND ON TOP OF THE RADIO AND MOLDING. IT STILL IS NOT 100% PERFECT AS I WOULD WISH FOR A BRAND NEW CAR BUT IT LOOKS BETTER NOW THAN IT DID IN THE BEGINNING.
I HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR 2 YEARS NOW, EVERY TIME I TAKE THE CAR INTO THE DEALER I SHOW THEM THE GAP AND THE WARPING UP OF THE CONSOLE ABOVE THE RADIO. STILL UNTIL THIS DAY, THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE. IT HAS BEEN GETTING WORSE AND MORE OF THE TOP CONSOLE IS POPPING UP CAUSING A RATTLING NOISE. HAND BRAKE DOESN'T HOLD WELL. ALSO, WHEN THE HAND BRAKE IS ON AND YOU OR YOUR PASSENGER GETS OUT OF THE CAR IT MAKES A NOISE LIKE YOU WEIGHT 5000 POUNDS A VERY LOUD SQUEAK. IT'S NOT EXACTLY A SQUEAK, IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY FORGOT TO GREASE THE SUSPENSION ITS THAT KIND OF NOISE. OR IF YOU PUT A LITTLE WEIGHT ON THE FENDER WHEN THE HAND BRAKE IS ON IT DOES THE SAME THING. NOT A LOT OF WEIGHT JUST YOUR HAND PUSHING DOWN GENTLY..THIS SHOULD BE AN EMBARRASSMENT FOR TOYOTA. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BRAKES. I BEG TO DIFFER! I PROBABLY WILL NEVER BUY A TOYOTA AGAIN. *JB

SUN VISOR ON DRIVER SIDE INTERFERES WITH REAR VIEW MIRROR. WHEN VISOR IS PULLED DOWN, IT HITS THE REAR VIEW MIRROR, CAUSING THE MIRROR TO MOVE UP OR DOWN. I PURCHASED A COROLLA CE IN OCT 2003. I HAD NOT HAD THE CAR MORE THAN A MONTH WHEN I STARTED TO SMELL A SULFER(ROTTEN EGG) SMELL. I COTINUED TO SMELL THIS AND IT DID NOT GO AWAY SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER SHOWED ME A BULITEN THAT STATED IT WAS NOT THE CONVERTER. THE DEALER THEN TOLD ME THAT AMERICAN GAS HAS TOO MUCH SULFER CONTENT AND THE TOYOTA ADDMISSIONS WERE AT A HIGHER LEVEL THEN THE AMERICAN GAS. I NOW HAVE 15,000 MILES ON MY CAR AND THE SMELL IS STILL THERE. I WENT TO TRADE IT IN TODAY TO GET A COROLLA S MODEL. THE DEAL IS NOT MADE YET, BECAUSE I HAVE READ THAT THE 2005 COROLLAS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS.
THE FRAME ALONG THE WINDSHIELD ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE OBSTRUCTS VISION, CAUSING THE DRIVER NOT TO SEE WELL. THE DRIVER WAS CONCERNED BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS BRAND NEW. THE DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. *AK THE VIEW WAS OBSTRUCTED FOR VEHICLES TO THE RIGHT, THE REAR SEAT HEADRESTS BLOCKED THE VIEW IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR AS WELL AS WHEN LOOKING BACK TO CHANGE LANES OR BACK UP. THE CONSUMER HAD TO REMOVE THE REAR HEADRESTS TO AVOID PROBLEMS. WHEN THE REAR WINDOWS WERE OPENED 1/2 TO FULL, THERE WAS A TUNNEL TYPE OF SENSATION AND THE VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE. THE VEHICLE WOULD BE AT A STOP SIGN AND WHEN NEEDING TO TURN LEFT, THE CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO GET A CLEAR VIEW OF APPROACHING TRAFFIC ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THERE WAS A SPAN OF TIME WHEN THE VEHICLES WERE COMPLETELY BLOCKED BY THE FRAME ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD. THE CONSUMER ATTEMPTED TO ADJUST THE HEIGHT AND DISTANCE OF THE SEAT POSITION, BUT WAS LIMITED DUE TO HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS. OTHER CONSUMERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. I BOUGHT THE 2004 TOYOTA COROLLA BRAND NEW, AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR I NOTICED A HORRIBLE "ROTTEN" EGG SMELL IN THE VEHICLE. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER, TO BE TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO TRY ANOTHER GAS STATION, I DID AND THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I STILL CONTINUE TO SMELL IT AND ITS BAD. I WAS TOLD THAT MEANS THE "EXHAUST" SYSTEM IS WORKING PROPERLY....I THINK THAT IS A POOR REASON FOR THIS HORRIBLE SMELL. THE CAR ALSO HAS A VERY LOUD RATTLING NOISE THAT COMES FROM THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE WHEEL. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CAR ALSO PULLS TO THE LEFT..EVEN AFTER SEVERAL ALIGNMENTS. I'M REALLY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THIS WAS MY FIRST NEW CAR PURCHASE. IF HARD AND CONSTANT PRESSURE IS NOT APPLIED AT ALL TIMES ON BRAKE PEDAL WHILE STOPPED, CAR COULD LUNGE FORWARD RESULTING IN; REAR-END COLLISION WITH ANOTHER CAR; AUTO/PEDESTRIAN MISHAP WHILE STOPPED AT A CROSSWALK OR HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE BOARD SIDE IF AT A FOUR-WAY STOP. I BOUGHT A 2004 TOYOTA COROLLA IN JULY OF 2003, NOT EVEN TWO MONTHS OF HAVING THE CAR I AM HAVING A PROBLEM. IN SEPTEMBER WHEN I STARTED TO USE MY HEAT, I SMELLED A ROTTEN EGG/SULFER SMELL. THE EPA MUST HAVE SOME ACTION AGAINST EMITING SULFER INTO THE AIR, THAT IS WHY THEY HAVE CADALITIC CONVERTERS. IF THE CONVERTER IS A DEFECT ON THE CAR, IT IS OBVIOUSLY NOT WORKING. I HAVE CALLED EVERY DEALERSHIP IN WESTERN NY AND TRIED TO GET AN ANSWER OR SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. MY ANSWER WAS "DEAL WITH IT" FROM JIM CULLIGAN IN WILLIAMSVILLE NY. I ALSO GOT DRIVE 20 MILES TO THE INDIAN RESERVATION FOR YOUR GAS. 2004 COROLLA BOUGHT 32 DAYS AGO WITH 92 MILES. NOTICED SULFUR SMELL WHEN EXITING VEHICLE ONLY AFTER FIRST REFILL -- NOT NOTICED WITH FUEL THAT CAME WITH IT. DEALER SAID TO TRY DIFFERENT GAS AND TO MAKE SURE THAT MY ENTIRE TANK IS EMPTY BEFORE FILLING. BASICALLY RECOMMENDING THAT I WAIT. (THEY DID SAY TO FILL THE TANK -- NOT JUST PUT IN A COUPLE GALLONS) AFTER THE SECOND REFILL (AND ABOUT 16 DAYS SINCE PURCHASE) I NOTICED THAT THE SMELL WASN'T AS BAD, BUT A FRIEND REMINDED ME THAT IT WAS PARTICULARLY WINDY. I LATER NOTICED THE SMELL WHEN THE WIND CALMED DOWN. NO LUCK WITH THE THIRD REFILL EITHER. ALL OF THESE ARE AT DIFFERENT STATIONS. CALLED THE DEALER AGAIN AND THEY RECOMMENDED THAT I NOW TRY THE HIGHER-OCTANE FUEL. NEEDLESS TO SAY, THE DAYS ARE SLOWLY PASSING. AFTER TALKING WITH SALES DEPT AND THE SERVICE DEPT ABOUT WHAT CAN BE DONE, THEY AGREED TO TAKE IT FOR A DRIVE AS SOON AS THEY LEARNED THAT I SMELLED THIS FROM INSIDE THE CAR WHEN DRIVING. I SENSE THAT IT IS A MORE-SERIOUS MATTER IF IT GETS INSIDE YOUR CAR. THEY GAVE ME A LOANER FOR THE DAY -- ANOTHER COROLLA LE, WHICH ALSO SMELLED OF SULFUR. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT HE DIDN'T SMELL ANYTHING AT ALL WHEN HE DROVE MY CAR, BUT HE SAID THAT MY "AIR-FRESHENER OVERWHELMED" HIM. THIS LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT HE IS EITHER LYING TO ME (YOU CAN'T MISTAKE THE SMELL OF SULFUR GAS) OR HE HAS BECOME DESENSITIZED TO ITS ODOR. I HAVE READ THAT SULFUR CAN WEAKEN YOUR ABILITY TO SMELL SULFUR FOR SOME TIME. I DON'T KNOW IF THE ABILITY TO SMELL SULFUR COMES BACK QUICKLY OR GOES AWAY FOR A LONG TIME. HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. HE SAID IT WAS (YOU GUESSED IT) THE GAS. WELL, NOW MY "GRACE PERIOD" HAS EXPIRED AND I WOULD LOSE AT LEAST $1,300 IF I TOOK IT BACK AND GOT THE PAY-OFF. APPROXIMATELY 45 DAYS AGO (AUG. 27, 2003) I PURCHASED A 2004 TOYOTA CAMRAY SOLARA. THE AUTO IS EQUIPPED WITH A LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM. ON DAY ONE, THE SYSTEM ALERTED ME OF LOW TIRE PRESSURE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AT IT WAS FIXED. THE FOLLOWING MORNING, I NOTICED MOISTURE CONDENSATION ON THE INSIDE. I TURNED ON THE AC AND IT DISAPPEARED. FOR THE SECOND TIME, THE LOW PRESSURE INDICATOR WAS ON AND I AGAIN RETURNED THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIPS SERVICE DEPARTMENT CHECKED THE TIRES, INFORMED ME THAT ALL THE TIRES MUST HAVE THE SAME PRESSURE, AND SHOWED ME THE RESET SWITCH UNDER THE DASH. A WEEK LATER, AFTER A RAIN STORM, THE CAR CARPETS WERE WET. I RETURNED THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND AFTER A DAY, THE CAR WAS RETURNED AND I WAS ADMONISHED TO ENSURE THAT I DIDN'T LEAVE THE CAR WINDOWS OPEN. AT THE END OF THAT WEEK, THERE WAS ANOTHER HEAVY RAIN STORM AND MY CAR REMAINED PARKED FOR THAT ENTIRE WEEKEND, "WITH THE WINDOWS CLOSED." ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH, I ENTERED THE CAR AND ONCE AGAIN, THE FLOOR MATS WERE SOAKED AND THERE WAS A MUSTY/MOLDY SMELL IN THE CAR. ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY (9/15) I RETURNED THE CAR TO THE DEALER. THIS TIME, AFTER A DAY, THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A REPORTED PROBLEM OF WATER LEAKING AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN THE CAR LATER IN THE WEEK TO HAVE THE DASHBOARD REMOVED AND THE LEAKING PART REPLACED/REPAIRED. AND, ONCE AGAIN, THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE INDICATOR WAS ON. MY CAR IS STILL NOT TOTALLY REPAIRED AND THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT IS ON AGAIN. THE DEALER NOW HAS POSSESSION OF MY CAR FOR ALMOST AS MUCH TIME AS I HAVE. I AM WAITING FOR THE NEXT RAIN STORM AND I?M AFRAID TO WASH MY CAR. IN ADDITION, THERE ARE MOLD AND MOLD SPORES GROWING IN THE VEHICLE, WHICH IS AGGRAVATING MY ASTHMA. *LA

THE AIR BAG LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF.
