I CALLED SINCE JUNE, 2016 WITH A AIR BAG RECALL AND TOYOTA IS NOT RESPONDING .WHEN I CALLED, THEY SAY THEY WILL CALL BACK BUT NEVER DID. PROBLEM STILL EXIST.
"TAKATA RECALL". I AM STILL WAITING FOR TOYOTA TO CONTACT ME, TO REPAIR/REPLACE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG SYSTEM.
TAKATA RECALL- THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL. AT THE TIME THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON CONSTANTLY WHILE THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN. I ADVISED THE DEALER/REPAIR THAT THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON AND THAT WE HAD RECEIVED NOTICE OF THE RECALL. THE AIRBAG WAS REPAIRED/REPLACED. SEVERAL DAYS LATER THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND STAYED ON, THEREFORE I CONTACTED THE DEALER. THEY ADVISED ME TO BRING THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER. WE HAVE NOW TAKEN IT BACK TO THE SAME DEALER AND NOW THEY SAY IT COST $110 FOR THE ASSESSMENT AND $550 FOR THE SPIRAL CABLE. I FEEL THAT THIS ISSUE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE AIRBAG RECALL AND REPAIRED AT THE TIME THE RECALLED PART WAS REPAIRED. WHEN I CALLED TOYOTA CUSTOMER SERVICE TODAY TO ASK ABOUT THE RECALLED AIR BAG THEY MADE ME FEEL AS IF WE WERE IN THE WRONG BECAUSE WE DID NOT TAKE IT BACK IMMEDIATELY AND THAT THESE WERE TWO SEPARATE ISSUES. WE TOOK THE CAR BACK AT OUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE AND WERE SHOCKED AT THE COST OF REPAIRS AND THAT IT IS NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL AND WAS NOT CORRECTED WHEN THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED. IN ADDITION, OTHER VEHICLES HAVE RECALLED THIS PART SUCH AS DODGE, VOLKSWAGEN, HYUNDAI, KIA, AND JUST THIS YEAR JEEP ISSUED A RECALL ON THE SAME PART. I HAVE INCLUDED THESE DOCUMENT IN THIS COMPLAINT. I FEEL THAT THIS PART SHOULD BE LOOKED AT TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF ALL THOSE DRIVING A TOYOTA.
WENT TO RENEW SAFETY INSPECTION FOR THE STATE OF HAWAI'I, AND THEY FAILED ME FOR HAVING THE AIR BAG LIGHT ON. AS IT HAPPENS, THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE SIDE AIRBAG ON "SELECT TOYOTA MODELS". ALTHOUGH, THEY DIDN'T APPLY IT TO MY CAR. EITHER THAT, OR THE TECHNICIAN, WHO TOOK CARE OF IT BEFORE I OWNED IT, DIDN'T ACTUALLY FIX THE ISSUE, AND JUST SIGNED OFF ON IT. I'M STILL GUESSING THAT IT NEVER GOT ADDRESSED, BECAUSE TOYOTA HASN'T ISSUED A RECALL NOTICE FOR MY VIN. THE LOCAL SERVCO TOYOTA SHOP WILL NOT FIX THE ISSUE FOR FREE, IF THERE IS NO OPEN RECALL OR I DON'T HAVE THE NOTICE IN MY HAND. IN OTHER WORDS, I WILL BE ILLEGAL TO DRIVE, IN TWO DAYS.

TOYOTA HAS ISSUED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN INDICATING THAT THE A/C CONDENSER IS NOT PROPERLY PROTECTED THE NUMBER FOR THIS REPORT IS AC002-06. HOWEVER, TOYOTA HAS REDESIGNED THE COROLLA TO CORRECT THIS IN 2007 BY PROPERLY PROTECTING THE A/C CONDENSER LEAVING THE 2005-2006 CUSTOMERS IN THE DUST. TOYOTA COROLLA AIR CONDITIONING PROBLEMS ALL MODELS 2005-2006. I OWN A 2006 TOYOTA COROLLA CE AND MY A/C HAS BEEN FAILING FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS, NOW I NEED HELP AND GET TOTAL REPLACEMENT OF THE A/C CONDENSER AND FULL PROTECTION.

I CALLED A DEALER IN JUNE TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE REPAIR DONE FOR THIS RECALL. I WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART AND MY NAME WAS ADDED TO A LIST AND THE PART SHOULD BE IN IN 2 WEEKS. I CALLED AGAIN TODAY TO CHECK ON THE STATUS AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY ARE STILL WAITING ON THE PARTS. THEY CAN ONLY ORDER 9 PARTS PER WEEK AND WHEN THEY ORDER THE PARTS THEY ARE TOLD THAT THE PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER. THEY ARE WORKING ON REPAIRS FOR CUSTOMERS WHO CALLED IN MAY. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY TOYOTA IS LIMITING THE AMOUNT OF PARTS A DEALER CAN ORDER WEEKLY AND WHY THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS AVAILABLE WHEN THEY KNOW THERE IS A RECALL. THIS PROCESS IS TAKING TOO LONG AND PUTTING MY SON AT RISK.

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A HEAD INJURY THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V285000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL ON MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG BACK IN JUNE OF 2026. I WENT TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP ON JUNE30, 2016 AND HAD IT FIXED FOR FREE A WEEK LATER MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON OR CAME ON SO I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IT WAS THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG NOW THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED AND SINCE IT WASN'T RECALLED THEY WERE NOT GOING TO FIX IT I DID NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX IT SO I NEVER GOT IT FIXED
MANUFACTURING DEFECT WITH ODOMETERS IN TOYOTA 2006. IT IS THE FEDERAL LAW THAT MANDATE FUNCTIONAL ODOMETER. IT APPEARS THAT DIGITAL GAUGE IN SOME TOYOTA CARS WAS PROGRAMMED TO DISCONNECT ODOMETER AT 299999 MILLAGE. NOT ONLY THE REPLACEMENT OF ODOMETER COST $600.00 BUT THE NEW ODOMETER WILL HAVE TO BE SET AT 0 ZERO MILLAGE WHICH IS INCORRECT AND FRAUDULENT. TOYOTA ODOMETER FOR WHATEVER AND UNKNOWN REASON DON'T GO PASS 300000 MILES. HOW OTHERWISE THE OWNER SHOULD KEEP A TRACK OF MILLAGE. TOYOTA DOESN'T SEEMS TO RECOGNIZE THIS DEFECT AS A REASON FOR RECALL AND/OR REIMBURSEMENT. SO FAR VEHICLE IS IN OPERATION WITH MILLAGE STACKED AT 299999.
TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED A "REMEDY NOTICE" FROM TOYOTA INSTRUCTING ME THAT THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAG PART WAS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE, AFTER HAVING PREVIOUSLY RECEIVED AN "INTERIM LETTER" INSTRUCTING THAT I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN THE REPLACEMENT PART BECAME AVAILABLE. HOWEVER, AFTER CONTACTING A LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR AT LEAST EIGHT WEEKS. THIS CONSTITUTES AN UTTER FAILURE TO REMEDY THE DEFECT WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME. MOREOVER, IT IS UNACCEPTABLE TO HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED THAT THE PART IS AVAILABLE WHEN, IN FACT, IT IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR AT LEAST EIGHT MORE WEEKS.

I AM CONCERNED THAT TOYOTA HAS INITIATED A RECALL FOR MY PASSENGER AIR BAG, TOLD ME THAT IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE OR CARRY PASSENGERS, YET STATES THAT THE REPAIR MAY TAKE 3 MONTHS. NO REMEDY (I.E., RENTAL CAR OR OTHER ALTERNATIVE) HAS YET BEEN OFFERED TO ADDRESS THE SAFETY ISSUE DURING THE 3 MONTHS.

I CALLED RIVERSIDE AUTO MALL OF MARQUETTE TO GET THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG REPLACED AND WAS TOLD THAT TOYOTA ONLY ALLOWS A COUPLE OF REPLACEMENTS AT A TIME AND THAT I WAS PLACED ON A LENGTHY WAITING LIST. I AM DRIVING A LONG DISTANCE IN AUGUST AND THEY SAID IT ,"MIGHT" BE FIXED BY THEN. THE PAPERWORK I RECEIVED IN THE MAIL SAID IT WAS URGENT AND I HAVE HEARD PEOPLE HAVE DIED DUE TO THIS. WHY IS TOYOTA ALLOWED TO SET A DELAY?
TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS, ENGINE MODULE. CANNOT GET TOYOTA DEALER TO REPLACE. HAVE WAITED FOUR WEEKS
"TAKATA RECALL" HAD 2 ACCIDENTS IN MY TOYOTA COROLLA AND THE AIRBAG DID NOT WORKED. I'VE HAD 10 SURGERIES BECAUSE OF THE DAMAGES I GOT FROM THE ACCIDENT AND BECAUSE THE AIRBAG DIDN'T PROTECTED ME. THE CAR WAS MOVING IN THE FIRST ACCIDENT AND IT WAS A REALLY BIG ACCIDENT BUT THE AIRBAG DID NOT PROTECTED ME IT JUST THE LIGHT WENT ON AND STAYED ON.
TAKATA RECALL - PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS FIXED FROM A 2015 RECALL AND RIGHT AFTER THE FIX THE LIGHT WENT ON FOR THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG.
MY2006 TOYOTA COROLLA S I HAVE NOTICED REVVED UP AND THEN BACK DOWN WHILE IN MOTION AND NON MOTION FOR NO APPARENT REASON. PROBLEM UNKNOWN. I AM HAVING FADE PAINT ISSUES, MY HEADLIGHTS ARE SO FOGGED I CAN'T SEE AT NIGHT, AND MY DIGITAL CLOCK DIMS IN AND OUT.

I'M NOT CERTAIN REGARDING THE SPECIFICS OF THE GAS LEAK REFERENCED IN THIS ARTICLE, BUT I AM UNABLE TO FILL MY GAS TANK TO FULL CAPACITY AS GAS WILL LEAK FROM THE TANK BECAUSE OF PRESSURE RELIEF OR OVERFLOW HOSE BREAK AT THE TOP OF THE TANK. I DISCOVERED THIS RECENTLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO FILL UP MY TANK. I HAVE NOT NOTICED GAS LEAKING WHILE DRIVING AND AM ABLE TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH 3/4 TANK OF GAS OR LESS. THE CAR WAS IN REVERSE WITH FOOT ON THE BRAKE WHEN IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED OUT OF CONTROL. THE CAUSE WAS DEFINITELY UNINTENDED ACCELERATION AND IS THE SECOND SUCH INCIDENT WITH THIS CAR SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED USED IN DECEMBER 2015.

I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FROM TOYOTA IN MAY OF 2016. THE LETTER STATED THAT IT'S A REQUIRED IMMEDIATE RESPOND. I CALLED RIGHT AWAY TO TOYOTA OF TRI CITIES AND THE LADY SAID THAT 'YOU'RE PART WILL BE IN TWO WEEKS AND WE WILL CALL YOU.' NO ONE CALLED ME IN 3 WEEKS. I WENT TO TOYOTA OF TRI CITIES AND ASK THE LADY NAMED SELENA TORRES IF THE PART FOR MY CAR HAS ARRIVED? SHE WENT TO THE PART DEPARTMENT AND SAID THAT I NEVER ORDERED ANY PART FROM THEM. I ASKED IF SHE CAN ORDER THE PART FOR ME. SHE SAID YES AND THAT IT WILL TAKE 2 WEEKS TO 3 WEEKS. SHE SAID THAT AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE IT, WE WELL CALL YOU. SHE ASKED FOR MY PHONE NUMBER SO I AM SURE THAT ALL OF MY CONTACT INFO IS IN THEIR SYSTEM. I CALLED THEM ON JULY 2, 2016 AND ANTHONY STATED, 'WE DON'T HAVE ANY PART FOR YOU.' I ASKED WHEN IT WILL BE AVAILABLE AND HE SAID THAT IT WILL TAKE 4 TO 8 WEEKS. I AM FEELING THAT THIS DEALER WON'T FIX THIS RECALL ISSUE.

TAKATA RECALL. TOYOTA SENT ME NOTICE ON AUGUST 20, 2015 OF SAFETY DEFECT WITH AIR BAGS. I JUST RECEIVED A LETTER TODAY ON 5-14-2016 THAT THEY WOULD REMEDY THE PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO NOT CARRY PASSENGERS IN MY VEHICLE IN THE INTERIM, WHICH ABOUT 9 MONTHS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND HAS CAUSED HARDSHIP AND WILL RESULT IN AN ECONOMIC LOSS DUE TO NEGLIGENCE WHEN I CAN'T SELL MY CAR BECAUSE OF ITS SAFETY RECORD. 9 MONTHS TO FIX A POTENTIALLY LETHAL DEFECT WITH A CAR IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. I ALSO WANT ASSURANCE FROM TOYOTA THAT THE PROBLEM SOLELY EXISTS WITH PASSENGER AIRBAGS ON NOT DRIVER AIRBAGS.
I RECEIVED TWO RECALL NOTICES ON THIS AIR BAG ISSUE. THE FIRST WAS AT LEAST A YEAR AGO, THEN JUST LAST WEEK. THE NOTICES CAME WITH WARNINGS NOT TO ALLOW ANYONE TO SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. REALLY? IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE THE FIRST NOTICE. PERHAPS TOYOTA SHOULD HAVE SUGGESTED THE CAR NOT BE DRIVEN AT ALL, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE SAFEST OPTION IN THEIR LIABLE EYES. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN UNABLE TO REMEDY THE DEFECT IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME.
TAKATA RECALL: UNABLE TO HAVE THE CAR REPAIRED, RELATED TO THE WHOLE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY HAS TO BE REPLACED, DUE TO NO BARCODE ON AIRBAG INFLATOR. THE PARTS HAVE BEEN ON BACK ORDER FOR 4 MONTHS, AND I RECEIVED A CARD IN THE MAIL STATING THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. WHAT ACTIONS DO I NEED TO TAKE IN ORDER TO HAVE A SAFE VEHICLE TO DRIVE.

TOYOTA ISSUED A RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE FOR THE AIR BAG INFLATOR ON JUNE 16, 2015, AND RECOMMENDED THAT I NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH AN OCCUPANT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. I HAVE SINCE HAD TO WAIT NEARLY AN ENTIRE YEAR BEFORE THE PARTS FOR THE RECALL WERE AVAILABLE IN MY AREA; I WAS ONLY NOTIFIED IN MAY OF 2016 THAT THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE IN MY AREA. IN OTHER WORDS, I WAS SUPPOSED TO AVOID HAVING A PASSENGER IN MY FRONT SEAT FOR ALMOST A WHOLE YEAR. THIS BY FAR EXCEEDS A REASONABLE TIMEFRAME FOR REPAIR, AND I HOPE THAT THERE WILL BE REPERCUSSIONS FOR THIS KIND OF FAILURE.

"TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED THE NOTICE FROM TOYOTA TO HAVE THE AIR BAG MODULE REPLACED AT TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP A COUPLE TIMES BUT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART. AT LAST I WAS GIVEN THE APPOINTMENT ON APRIL 30, 2016 AT TOYOTA TOWN IN STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA. HOWEVER, WHEN I GOT THERE ON TIME THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL CALL ME WITHIN A WEEK FOR THE NEXT APPOINTMENT. IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN 2 WEEKS AND I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP YET. SHOULD I KEEP WAITING UNTIL SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS?

TAKATA RECALL CONTACTED THE TOYOTA DEALER THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR. THEY SAID THAT THEY HAD TO ORDER THE PART. CALLED THEM LAST MONTH AND THEY ACTED LIKE THEY NEVER HERD FROM US. AGAIN THEY SAID THEY HAD TO ORDER THE PART AND WOULD BE IN TOUCH.
