I HAVE HAVE A LETTER DIRECTLY FROM TOYOTA TELLING ME ABOUT MY AIRBAG RECALL FOR MY 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA AND HOW IT SHOULD BE REPLACED FOR FREE IN A TIMELY MATTER. I HAVE BEEN CONTACTING THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES TO REPLACE THE RECALLED AIRBAG FOR MY CAR. I ALSO WENT DIRECTLY TO THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND WHEN I SPOKE TO THE MANAGERS, THEY SPOKE AS IF THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. FOR MORE THAN A YEAR, I HAVE GOTTEN NO RESPONSE BACK FROM TOYOTA OR THE DEALERSHIP ON HOW TO GET MY CAR FIXED.

UPON ENTERING THE VEHICLE AND ATTEMPTING TO SECURE A CHILD SAFETY SEAT, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE REAR DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT WAS EXTREMELY LOOSE AND FAILED TO SECURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW SEAT BELT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000.

THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL ON THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG INFLATORS. THE RECALL WAS BACK IN MAY 2015. I STILL TO THIS DAY JANUARY 31 ST 2016 HAVE NOT HAD THIS TAKEN CARE OF. CALLED THE DEALER BACK IN 2015 ABOUT THIS MATTER , AND WAS TOLD WHEN THEY HAVE THE PART THEY WILL CONTACT ME. THIS HAS NOT BEEN DONE.
TAKATA RECALL, I CALLED BOCH TOYOTA SEVERAL TIMES TO GET AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY CAR AND I'M TOLD THAT I'M ON A LIST AND THEY ONLY GET A FEW AIR BAGS FOR REPLACEMENT AT ONE TIME. THIS IS BEEN GOING ON FOR ALMOST A YEAR. I STILL GET RECALL NOTICES FROM TOYOTA CORP.PLEASE ADVISE.

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE SAYING I NEEDED IMMEDIATE REPLACEMENT. MY DEALER FORT BEND TOYOTA HAS TOLD ME FOR MONTHS THAT THE PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER AND CAN NOT GIVE ME A DATE FOR REPAIR
TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR MODULE, TELLING ME THAT I WILL BE CONTACTED WHEN THE "SUFFICIENT PARTS HAVE BEEN PRODUCED AND THE REMEDY CAN BE PERFORMED." THIS LETTER IS ABOUT A YEAR OLD. I WANT TO KNOW WHY I HAVE NEVER BEEN CONTACTED AND/OR WHY THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, AND FRANKLY A CRIME IT ITSELF. THE LETTER GOES ON TO SAY, "UNTIL THE REMEDY BECOMES AVAILABLE IN YOUR LOCATION, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH AN OCCUPANT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT." THUS I HAVE NO ABILITY TO USE THIS CAR FOR TRANSPORTING MY FAMILY DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS AIR BAG COULD POTENTIALLY KILL THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER... I WOULD LIKE AN EXPLANATION AS TO WHY I CONTINUE TO BE INCONVENIENCED BY A RECALL THAT IS NOT BEING ADDRESSED.
I STARTED MY CAR AND IMMEDIATELY UPON STARTING THE ENGINE RPM'S WENT FROM 0-5000 RPM AND WOULD NOT COME BACK DOWN. I SHUT OFF THE CAR AND WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND TRIED AGAIN.... SAME THING. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. I AM AFRAID THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN AT ANY TIME WHILE I'M ACTUALLY DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN WHICH CASE THERE COULD BE A VERY BAD ACCIDENT DUE TO THE THROTTLE STICKING OPEN IF THAT'S WHAT THE CAUSE IS. *JS

LOOKED UP A RECALL ON THE EMC OF 2007 TOYOTA COROLLAS. MY CAR WAS REAR ENDED ON 12/31/2014. EVER SINCE, MY CAR HAS BEEN HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. MY RADIATOR FAN IS NOT WORKING AND HAD TO BE HOT WIRED BY A MECHANIC FOR IT TO STAY ON WHILE RUNNING. MY AC IS NOT WORKING, MY SHIFTER IS STUCK IN PARK WHICH IS CAUSED BY A BAD SOLENOID. I HAVE HAD IT INSPECTED FOR OVER 8 HOURS BY CERTIFIED MECHANICS AT MIDAS, AND THEY COULDN'T FIX IT. THEY SAID THAT EVERY TEST THEY DID WAS READING THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG BUT MY AC AND RADIATOR FAN AND SOLENOID ARE NOT WORKING. MY CAR STALLS OUT OCCASIONALLY, IT WONT START SOMETIMES, AND IT IS IDLING LOUDER THAN BEFORE.
MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING FROM HOUSTON TO AUSTIN ON US 290. JUST WEST OF PAIGE, TX. SHE EXPERIENCED SOME VIBRATION THAT SHE ATTRIBUTED TO CONSTRUCTION BUT BEFORE SHE COULD SLOW DOWN SHE EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN BLOWOUT OF THE FRONT LEFT TIRE WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH. THE TEMPERATURE WAS IN THE LOW 70'S AND THE ROAD WAS DRY. TIRES WERE LAST PRESSURE CHECKED TWO WEEKS AGO AND ALL FILLED TO 30 PSI AS THEY HAD DEFLATED TO 25 TO 27 PSI SINCE THE LAST CHECK. EXTENSIVE DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE FENDER AND WHEEL WELL LINER AND ADDITIONAL DAMAGE WAS DONE TO TH FRONT BUMPER, AND HOOD. THE SIDE AIR DAM WAS COMPLETELY TORN OFF. *JS

I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM TOYOTA NOTIFYING ME OF AN INTERIM SAFETY RECALL NOTICE ABOUT 7 MONTHS AGO. THEY STATED THAT THEY WOULD SEND ANOTHER LETTER WHEN PARTS WERE AVAILABLE AND RECOMMENDED NOT OPERATING THE VEHICLE WITH SOMEONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, WHICH IS UNAVOIDABLE IN MY CASE. THEY HAVE NOT FOLLOWED UP ON THIS, WHICH I FEEL IS NEGLIGENT. WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT THIS?

TAKATA RECALL. I UNDERSTAND THE SERIOUSNESS OF THIS RECALL AND HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR OVER A YEAR GET IT SERVICED. I KEEP BEING TOLD THAT THERE ARE INSUFFICIENT MATERIALS. I WOULD LIKE INCREASE THE SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE (THE ONE MY CHILDREN DRIVE!) IN THE MEANTIME. LETTER FROM SENATOR ISAKSON ON BEHALF OF CONSTITUENT RE 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA. *SMD THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED A SEVERE AND SUDDEN LOCK UP OF THE BRAKES. THE CONSUMER STATED JUST A SMALL TOUCH OF THE BRAKE PEDAL CAUSED THE BRAKES TO LOCK UP. THE CONSUMER NOTICED WHEN HE TOUCHED THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING AND THE VEHICLE NOT MOVING, THERE WAS A LOUD HISSING SOUND COMING FROM THE BEHIND THE BRAKE PEDAL. IT WAS NOT NOTICEABLE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS MOVING. THE CONSUMER CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKES AFTER TAKING IT TO THE DEALER. THE PEDAL WOULD GO DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND HE WOULD HAVE TO PUMP THE BRAKE, TO GET IT BACK UP, WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY, IT FELT AS THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS TRYING TO BRAKE. THE DEALER BELIEVED A ROD IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM WAS NOT ADJUSTED CORRECTLY FROM A PREVIOUS BRAKE JOB. ALSO, THE ROTORS WERE REPLACED. *JB
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE, ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2014. ON OCTOBER 21, THE VEHICLE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, I LET THE FINANCE COMPANY DIAMOND FINANCE KNOW THAT THIS LIGHT WAS ON, I BELIEVE THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO ALL COROLLAS BECAUSE THEY REALLY ARE NOT SAFE AND I CANT EVEN LET MY YOUNG CHILDREN SIT IN THE FRONT OF THIS CAR BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THIS AIRBAG WILL INFLATE. I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE ANY FURTHER NOTIFICATION ABOUT MY CAR AND HOW IT IS GOING TO BE FIXED. I JUST SPOKE WITH A REPRESENTATIVE WITH THE TOYOTA CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE CENTER AND APPARENTLY MY STATE HAS HAD THE PARTS FOR A WHILE AND HAS FAILED TO NOTIFY ME. NOT ONLY IS THIS ENDANGERING MY LIFE AND OTHERS, I AM ALSO CURRENTLY PREGNANT AND SO IT IS EFFECTING MY UNBORN CHILD. FOR SOMETHING THAT IS THIS DANGEROUS, THINGS SHOULD BE GOING A LOT QUICKER ESPECIALLY IF IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR. I HAD MY CAR SCANNED TO FIND OUT WHY MY AIR BAG LIGHT WAS AND THE FAULT CODE WAS B1811 OPEN FOR DRIVER SQUIDB CIRCUIT. THEY CHECKED AND FOUND THAT MY CLOCK SPRING WAS BAD. THE PART NUMBER WAS1 84306-02110 CABLE SUB. THIS IS A DEALER ITEM FROM TOYOTA. I GOT THE PART FROM KINGS TOYOTA IN CINNAINNTI OHIO. I WORK FOR ANOTHER DEALER AND HAD THEM PUT IN ON FOR ME,. I DID RECEIVE A DISCOUNT ON BOTH THE LABOR AND THE PART. I HAVE CALLED TOYOTA TO SEE IF MY CAR WAS ON THE RECALL LIST AND IT IS NOT. THIS WAS MY AIR BAG AND I GOT TOLD BY OUR SERVICE TECH THAT MY AIR BAG WOULD NOT GO OFF IF I HAD A FRONT END WAS IN A WRECK. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I DON'T SEE HOW MY CAR IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST WHEN I DID HAVE AIR BAGS ISSUES. I DO HAVE A COPY OF THE SERVICE WORK ORDER.

I WAS PULLING INTO MY PARKING SPOT AT ABOUT 2 TO 3 MILES PER HOUR AS I WAS STEPPING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL THE CAR ACCELERATED AS IF SOMEONE HAD PUSH THE GAS PEDAL WITH 1000LBS OF FORCE. THE CAR LITERALLY FLEW OVER THE CURVE ONTO SOME BUSHES OVER THE SIDEWALK SIDESWIPED A LIGHT POLL AND ONTO THE STREET THE CAR SLOWED DOWN WHEN I WAS ON THE STREET. DURING THIS WHOLE TIME MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP, THERE ARE SKID MARKS THAT SHOW THAT AND WHEN I STOPPED MY BRAKES WHERE SMOKING AND THERE WAS A VERY STRONG SMELL OF BURNING BRAKES. PLEASE ADVISE ME ON WHAT TO DO BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE THIS CAR ANYMORE, I AM VERY SCARED. *TR

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. AS I APPROACHED A RED LIGHT, I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE BUT THE CAR KEPT ON SLOWLY GOING AHEAD. MY FOOT WAS DOWN TO THE FLOOR ON THE BRAKE, BUT IT STILL WENT FORWARD AND I HAD TO SWERVE TO THE RIGHT SO AS NOT TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. I HAD THE BRAKE SYSTEM CHECKED BY TWO DIFFERENT MECHANICS AT TWO DIFFERENT SHOPS AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. WOULD THE GAS PEDAL HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT? TWO DIFFERENT AUTO SHOPS, LOOKED AT THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THERE IS A LOUD WHIRRING SOUND FROM UNDERNEATH THE CAR. MY CAR ALREADY HAD THE 90000 MILE CHECKUP AND WITH MINOR ADJUSTMENTS OF BELTS ETC. IT PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS. NOW I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT. PLEASE HELP ME. *TR
