I TOOK MY CAR FOR A MARYLAND STATE INSPECTION. IT WAS FOUND BY A LICENSED STATE INSPECTOR, THAT THE LEFT FRONT AXLE SHAFT CV BOOT PREMATURELY WORE, AND WAS SPLIT OPEN AND ACTIVELY LEAKING GREASE. *TR
A YEAR AFTER THE WARRANTY YEAR PERIOD ENDED AND LESS THAN 60,000 MILES, THE WATER PUMP AND SERPENTINE BELT BOTH FAILED. UNDER THE HOOD, HOT COOLANT WAS SPRAYED ALL OVER. THE COOLANT LEVEL LEAKED DANGEROUSLY LOW, AND ENGINE TEMPERATURE ROSE WITHOUT ANY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. THE INCIDENT HAPPENED WITH NO SOUND FROM THE ENGINE UPON STARTING AND DRIVING.
I WAS LEAVING THE DRIVE THRU TO PARK MY CAR AND WAIT FOR MY FOOD TO COME OUT. I MADE AN IMMEDIATE LEFT FOLLOWED BY AN IMMEDIATE LEFT TO PARK IN A HANDICAP SPOT. I PRESSED THE BRAKES AND MY CAR DIDN'T SLOW DOWN AT ALL. I KEPT PRESSING IT AND NOTHING HAPPENED. MY CAR WENT OVER THE CONCRETE BLOCK IN FRONT OF THE HANDICAP THRU BUSHES AND FINALLY STOPPED WHEN I HIT THE CORNER OF THE BUILDING I PULLED THE CAR INTO REVERSE AND PULLED THE E-BRAKE. THANKFULLY I WAS PULLING OFF SO I WAS GOING SLOW AND NO ONE WAS HIT AND I DIDN'T BREAK THROUGH THE GLASS BUT, I TURNED MY CAR OFF FOR ABOUT 20 MINS TO CLAM DOWN. WHEN I TURNED THE CAR BACK ON IT OPERATED AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED. I DEALT WITH RECALLS WHEN THE CAR FIRST WAS OUT BUT, I DIDN'T SEE ANY RECENT ONES POP UP BUT, LOOKING THROUGH OTHER COMPLAINTS I SEE THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME EXPERIENCE. I CALLED UP TOYOTA SO MANY TIMES IN REGARDS TO MY BREAKS AND NOTHING EVER CAME OF IT EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY TOLD ME NOTHING WAS WRONG THEY DIDN'T FEEL OR HEAR ANYTHING OR SEE ANYTHING. CLEARLY SOMETHING IS WRONG SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR BUT, I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO PURCHASE A NEW CAR. ITS CRAZY TO BE HAVING ISSUES LIKE THIS. NOW I HAVE TO GET MY FRONT BUMPER FIXED. *TR
MY WIFE REAR ENDED A TAXI, SHE COMPLAINED THAT THE BRAKES DID NOT STOP THE CAR. WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE HOUSE, I FREED THE HOOD AND REMOVED THE BUMPER COVER TO INSPECT THE DAMAGE. WHEN I GOT IN AND TRIED THE BRAKES, THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. WHEN I OPENED THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR TO CHECK THE FLUID, THE BRAKES RETURNED TO NORMAL. THAT INDICATES A VACUUM TO ME, WHICH IS NOT NORMAL.I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST ANALYSIS OF THE EVENT DATA RECORDER. *TR
ECU IS DEFECTIVE IN 2009 MODEL JUST LIKE IN 2005-2008 MODEL. WHEN IT REACHES 90,000 IT BRAKES. THE CAR STARTS JERKING AND DOESN'T WANT TO CHANGE GEARS. AT HOME ALL OF US DRIVE TOYOTA COROLLAS AND ALL OF THEM HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AT 90,000 MILEAGE. *TR
FOOT REMOVED FROM ACCELERATOR AND CAR ACCELERATES UPON APPLYING THE BRAKES, HAPPENS FREQUENTLY AND CAUSES CONCERN WHEN PARKING OR APPROACHING A VEHICLE STOPPED IN FRONT OF YOU, LENGTHENS TIME TO STOP---VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED JUST PRIOR TO DATE OF FIRST INCIDENT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE CONTACT NOTICED COOLANT LEAKING ONTO THE GROUND. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPLACED THE WATER PUMP AND THERMOSTAT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,575.
THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD THE WATER PUMP GO OUT THE BRAKES THE ALTERNATOR HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKES THE AIR BAG HAS HAD THE STRUTS REPLACED THE GAS LEVER STOPPED WORKING AND NOW THE TRUNK RELEASE WON'T WORK I HAVE REPLACED NOW 5 TIRES BECAUSE ONE BLOW RIGHT AFTER I GOT THE CAR AND NOW MY CAR HAS JUST 85 THOUSAND MILES ON IT. I HAVE HEARD SO MANY GOOD THINGS ABOUT TOYOTA BUT THIS IS THE WORST CAR I HAVE EVER OWN I WILL NEVER BUY OR ADVISE ANYONE TO BUY A TOYOTA AGAIN. *TR
DRIVING ON INTERSTATE AND SUDDENLY CHECK BATTERY LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND TEMP INDICATED VEHICLE WAS HOT. PULLED OVER AS SOON AS ABLE TO SAFELY DO SO. *JS
1. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROX. 25 MPH, THE CAR SUDDENLY LOST POWER; I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE ABOUT 2 MPH INTO A NEARBY GAS STATION. THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS NOT ON, BUT THE ORANGE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. AFTER 5 MINUTES, THE EMPLOYEE WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR AND I DROVE ONE MILE TO MY HOME. MY REPAIR MECHANIC DID A COMPUTER SCAN INDICATING POSSIBLE PROBLEMS WITH A SWITCH AND SUGGESTED THAT I DRIVE AROUND FOR ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE RETURNING. 2. A SIMILAR INCIDENT OCCURRED 10 DAYS LATER. I GLIDED INTO A PARKING LOT, WAITED 10 MIN., AND THE CAR RESUMED AT REGULAR SPEED. 3. ON 8/7/14, I DROVE 2 MI. BACK TO THE REPAIR SHOP AT A REGULAR SPEED. A SECOND SCAN COULD NOT BE COMPLETED BECAUSE THE CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED RESPONDING TO THE REPAIR SHOP'S COMPUTER. AT THIS POINT THE CAR IS COMPLETELY INOPERABLE AND MUST BE TOWED TO A TOYOTA DEALER. I WAS ADVISED THAT I MAY NEED A NEW COMPUTER. MY 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA HAS ABOUT 48,000 MILES ON IT. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT A COMPUTER FAILURE IS NORMAL WITHIN THE AGE AND MILEAGE RANGE OF THIS CAR. TAKATA RECALL & WATER PUMP. FAILURE TO PROVIDE REPLACEMENT PARTS IN A TIMELY MANNER ON THE TAKATA AIR BAGS. WAS TOLD NOT TO USE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. NOT PRACTICAL! ALSO, FAILURE OF WATER PUMP AND INDICATOR LIGHT TO WARN OF THE FAILURE. RESULTED IN TOTAL REPLACEMENT OF ENGINE. TEMPERATURE GAUGE SHOWED NORMAL WHEN IN FACT THE ENGINE WAS OVER HEATING. CAR WAS JUST OVER THE THE MILEAGE OF 54,000 IN JULY 2014. WE WERE COMING BACK FROM A TRIP TO MYRTLE BEACH, AND IT DIED ON THE HIGHWAY THREE HOURS FROM OUR HOUSE IN OHIO, JUST AS DUSK WAS FALLING. VERY FRIGHTENING NOT KNOWING WHAT WAS GOING ON. NO WARNING WHAT-SO-EVER. HAD AN EXPENSIVE TOW BACK TO MOGADORE FROM NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO. WITHOUT A CAR FOR THREE WEEKS AND FORCED TO PURCHASE A RE-BUILT ENGINE FROM TOYOTA. GANLEY TOYOTA IN AKRON WAS UPSET AND MR. GANLEY, THE OWNER, WOULD NOT EVEN TALK TO US WHEN WE REQUESTED AN APPOINTMENT. ATTACHED IS A LIST OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS WHEN I LOOKED UP WATER PUMP FAILURE IN 2014. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TAKE A VACATION SINCE, NOR AFFORD A NEW CAR. THE WOMAN WHO HANDLES TITLES WAS NASTY IN INDICATING THAT WE DID NOT PURCHASE THE CAR FROM GANLEY. WE HAD RECEIVED A BETTER PRICE FROM METRO TOYOTA FOR THE CAR BUT I DON'T SEE WHY THAT SHOULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE, SINCE ALL OF OUR MAINTENANCE HAS COME OUT OF THE GANLEY AKRON, OHIO DEALER. ATTACHED IS A LETTER I PLAN ON SENDING TO TOYOTA. THE CUSTOMER NEVER FORGETS.
I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF A 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA WHICH I PURCHASED NEW FROM A LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD THEM DO RECOMMENDED SERVICE, ETC. AND HAVE TAKEN GREAT CARE OF THIS VEHICLE. IN JULY 2014 MY CAR WAS MAKING A RATTLING SOUND AND I TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE. AT THAT TIME IT BARELY TURNED OVER AND STARTED, ALTHOUGH I HAD REPLACED THE BATTERY IN 2013. THE CAR HAD A FAULTY ALTERNATOR AND WHEN THEY WERE DOING SERVICE THEY ALSO DISCOVERED A BROKEN WATER PUMP. THE CAR ONLY HAD APPRX. 27,000 MILES AT THAT TIME. ON 8-9-15 THE CAR BARELY STARTED AND AS I BACKED OUT THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND I LOST MY POWER STEERING. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE PROBLEM WAS ANOTHER DEFECTIVE ALTERNATOR! THE CAR ONLY HAS LESS THAN 32,000 MILES AND ANOTHER ALTERNATOR. ALTHOUGH THE PART WAS JUST OUT OF WARRANTY, THE DEALERSHIP COVERED THE PART, BUT I HAD TO PAY 132.00 LABOR AND GO WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOR 2 DAYS. MY FAMILY AND I ALWAYS OWN TOYOTAS AND HAVE EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM THE CARS. THIS ONE, NOT SO MUCH! NOW I'M WONDERING WHAT WILL GO NEXT. I THINK THIS WILL BE MY LAST TOYOTA.
I WAS MERGING ONTO TRAFFIC HEADING WEST ON I-10 IN HOUSTON. THE CARS IN FRONT OF ME SUDDENLY STOPPED AND I STARTED APPLYING THE BRAKES HARD WHEN THERE WAS AT LEAST 10 FEET DISTANCE BETWEEN MY CAR AND THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I WAS MERGING AT PEAK TRAFFIC HOUR AND WAS NOT MORE THAN 40-45 MILES/HOUR SPEED. WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES, THE CAR REFUSED TO STOP AND I HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I APPLIED THE BRAKES HARD SUCH THAT ANY OTHER CAR WOULD HAVE SKIDDED THE TYRES. THIS CAR JUST PLAIN REFUSED TO STOP AND I ENDED UP IN A WRECK WHICH CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO MY CAR AND NOW AM HAVING TO GO THROUGH INSURANCE. I HAVE DRIVEN OTHER SIMILAR CARS AND THEIR BRAKES ARE A LOT MORE EFFECTIVE. I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING A RENTAL CAR OF SIMILAR SIZE AND THEIR BRAKES ARE HIGHLY EFFECTIVE. I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS RELATED TO AN EARLY RECALL ABOUT BRAKES ON THE CAR, BUT I HAVE BEEN PROMPT ABOUT GETTING ALL MY RECALLS FIXED IN THE CAR. *TR
CAR WOULD NOT TRACK DOWN THE HIGHWAY. FEELS LIKE I'M CONSTANTLY CORRALLING THIS CAR , ADJUSTING THE STEERING WHEEL TO STAY IN MY LANE OF TRAFFIC. IN MY 40 PLUS YEARS OF DRIVING, I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS BEHAVIOR FROM A VEHICLE. THIS BEHAVIOR ACTUALLY OCCURS AT ALL SPEEDS. HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MY MECHANIC THAT IT IS NOT AN ALIGNMENT ISSUE, BUT IS A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM. SEEMS LIKE A GRAVE SAFETY CONCERN TO ME. FROM THE SHEER NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ON STEERING COMPONENTS, LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE A LITTLE MORE PROACTIVE AND PULL THE TRIGGER ON A RECALL. *JS
WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE CAR STARTED STALLING REALLY BAD AND LOSING POWER, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME UP AND I COULDN'T SPEED MORE THAN TWENTY FIVE MILES, BECAUSE THE CAR STARTED TRYING TO SHUT OFF ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AGAIN. I TOOK THE CAR TO GET CHECKED OUT AND THE TROUBLESHOOTING CODES CAME OUT AS BEING THE IGNITION COILS DUE TO THE ENGINE HARNESS BEING BAD, (DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE I SAID ), CABLES DON'T GO BAD LIKE THAT IN FLORIDA. *TR
STEERING WHEEL COIL REMEDY NEVER RESOLVED TOOK VEHICLE IN TWICE FOR SERVICE UPDATE AT THE DEALERSHIP ON STEERING COLUMN COIL AND AIRBAGS.WAS TURNING AT 5 MILES AN HOUR ON WAY TO DRIVE ONTO A TRAILER SO THE VEHICLE COULD BE PULLED WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SLOPPY AND WAS HIT BY ANOTHER CAR FROM THE LEFT SIDE
HI, I HAVE REPLACED MY BRAKES LATE LAST YEAR BECAUSE THE BRAKES DON'T ENGAGE RIGHT. EVEN AFTER I REPLACED MY BRAKES, I STILL HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE BRAKES. LAST WEEK, I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK WITH MY SON IN MY CAR AND SOMEONE CUT ME OFF WITH A TURN INTO A SCHOOL. I HIT MY BRAKES REALLY HARD, BUT IT WAS SKIDDING/SLIDING. I TOOK MY CAR IN AGAIN FOR BRAKES CHECK AND LIKE LAST TIME, I WAS TOLD MY BRAKES WERE FINE. I ASKED THE MECHANIC WHY WAS MY CAR SLIDING/SKIDDING. MY CAR WAS DIAGNOSED WITH SHOCK/SUSPENSION ISSUE. WHICH I HAVE HAD ALL ALONG, BUT DIDN'T KNOW IT CAUSED MY BRAKES TO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I DRIVE VERY SHORT DISTANT TO WORK AND HOME AND I DO NOT ABUSE MY CAR, HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN WITH SUCH LOW MILEAGE. I WOULD LIKE AN INVESTIGATION INTO THIS ISSUE, IT IS SAFETY SINCE THE CAR DOESN'T BRAKE PROPERLY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE INSPECTING THE REAR SEAT, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE CENTER SEAT BELT BUCKLE AND DRIVER SIDE SEAT BUCKLE WERE INTERCHANGED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN VERIFIED THE FAILURE AND REPLACED THE BUCKLE. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.

AFTER FILLING THE GAS TANK AND DRIVING UP A HILL THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (CEL) CAME ON AND THE ENGINE RAN ROUGH. I NURSED THE CAR UP THE HILL AND DROVE HOME. I FOUND THE GAS CAP WAS NOT TIGHT EVEN THOUGH IT HAD BEEN CLICKED ONE TIME WHEN THE TANK WAS FILLED JUST A FEW MINUTES EARLIER. A SEARCH FOR THIS ON THE INTERNET REVEALED THAT OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM. I TIGHTENED IT TO ONE CLICK, OF COURSE. A FEW DAYS LATER I BOUGHT A TOYOTA GAS CAP AT A LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. THIS SEQUENCE REPEATED MULTIPLE TIMES; CEL TURNED ON, ENGINE RUNS ROUGH, LOSE OF ENGINE POWER. IN ONE INSTANCE I WAS PASSING A CAR ON A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY WHEN THE ENGINE HESITATED AND THE CEL TURNED ON. IN ANOTHER INSTANCE I WAS TURNING LEFT TO GO SLOWLY UP A STEEP HILL WHEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN. IN EVERY INSTANCE THE GAS CAP WAS LOOSE. IT HAPPENED ONCE WHEN I STARTED THE ENGINE IN A PARKING LOT. I'VE COME TO THE POINT OF CHECKING THE GAS CAP TO BE SURE IT WAS TIGHT EVERY TIME BEFORE I START THE ENGINE. IN EARLY 2015 I BOUGHT ANOTHER NEW TOYOTA GAS CAP AT A TOYOTA DEALER. IT'S NOW MARCH 31. THIS SAME SEQUENCE OF EVENTS... CEL COMES ON, ENGINE RUNS ROUGH, LOSE OF POWER FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS... HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 12 TIMES WITH THIS NEWEST GAS CAP IN LESS THAN THREE MONTHS. I ALWAYS TIGHTEN THE GAS CAP TO THE FIRST CLICK AS IT SHOULD BE. THIS CAN BE DANGEROUS IF IT HAPPENS WHEN WE NEED MAXIMUM ENGINE POWER, AS IN PASSING. A SEARCH ON THE INTERNET SHOWS THAT OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM. COMMENTS ON BUYING NEW TOYOTA GAS CAPS AT AMAZON SHOW THAT STILL OTHERS ARE STRUGGLING WITH THIS. I CAN UNDERSTAND FAIR WEAR AND TEAR ON THE "O" RING IN THE CAP. BUT WHEN TWO NEW CAPS COME LOOSE AFTER BEING CLICKED AS INSTRUCTED THEN SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT. MECHANICS AT THE DEALERSHIP DON'T HAVE A GOOD ANSWER FOR THIS. *TR
VEHICLE VEERED OFF ROAD ONTO GRASS AS IF BEING PUSHED BY A STRONG WIND, HOWEVER THE AIR WAS CALM. I BELIEVE IT WAS DEFECTIVE STEERING RESPONDING IMPROPERLY TO UNEVEN PAVEMENT. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND COULD NOT PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.

I DON'T DRIVE THIS VEHICLE MUCH ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN COMING ON FOR SOME TIME. FOR THE LONGEST TIME I THOUGHT IT WAS THE WIND. IT'S NOT. THE VEHICLE FLOATS ON THE HIGHWAY AND REQUIRES MAXIMUM ATTENTION OR I'LL FIND MYSELF IN THE DITCH OR WORSE. I'VE HAD THE ALIGNMENT CHECKED AND THE TIRES ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE STEERING. I CALL IT MY "ALL OVER THE ROAD COROLLA." *TR

AFTER READING OTHER BRAKE COMPLAINTS I'M REALIZING THAT I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM SINCE I'VE HAD THE CAR. ANY BIT OF PRECIPITATION CAUSES THE BRAKES TO LOCK WHEN BARELY PRESSING THEM TO SLOW DOWN (NOT STOP). IT HAPPENS AT JUST A FEW MPH OR HIGHER. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THE COROLLA WITH A FRIEND IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. SHE ENTERED THE DRIVEWAY AT A LOCAL STRIP MALL. SHE PROCEEDED TO TURN LEFT INTO A PARKING STALL AND WAS PREPARING TO APPLY THE BRAKES WHEN THE COROLLA SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND MOUNTED A RAISED LANDSCAPED AREA IN FRONT OF THE STALL. THE COROLLA TRAVELED ABOUT 15 FEET BEFORE IT STRUCK A LARGE, METAL, ELECTRICAL UTILITY BOX AND STOPPED. BOTH MY DAUGHTER AND HER FRIEND WERE SEAT BELTED AND WERE NOT INJURED. SKID MARKS ON THE ASPHALT PAVEMENT APPEAR TO INDICATE THAT THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL WAS LOCKED AS THE COROLLA ACCELERATED. INVESTIGATORS FROM TOYOTA AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY INSPECTED THE COROLLA AND COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. AT APPROXIMATELY 11:00 A.M. ON A BEAUTIFUL SUNNY DAY, I WAS DRIVING ON THE PA TURNPIKE AT THE SPEED OF 65 MPH WHEN THE POWER STEERING IN MY 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA FAILED. MY CAR UNINTENTIONALLY VEERED LEFT AND RIGHT AS IF I WAS ENCOUNTERING HURRICANE-LIKE STRONG WIND GUSTS. THE CAR BOUNCED BACK AND FORTH FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 SECONDS, WHILE FEELING AS IF IT WAS FLOATING/HYDROPLANING, AS I ATTEMPTED TO REGAIN CONTROL. MY ATTEMPTS AT CORRECTING THE POWER STEERING ISSUE WERE UNSUCCESSFUL AND ULTIMATELY THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE OF MY CAR CRASHED INTO THE RIGHT GUARDRAIL. FORTUNATELY, I WAS UNHARMED IN THIS FRIGHTENING ACCIDENT AND THE STATE TROOPERS AND TOW TRUCKS RESPONDED IN A TIMELY MANNER. NO OTHER INDIVIDUALS WERE HURT AND THERE WAS ONLY MINOR GUARDRAIL DAMAGE. MY CAR, HOWEVER IS EXTENSIVELY DAMAGED. I AM CONFIDENT THAT THIS WAS NOT A RESULT OF DRIVER ERROR OR UNFORESEEN WEATHER CONDITIONS. ONE OF THE STATE TROOPERS THAT REPORTED TO THE SCENE EVEN COMMENTED, "EVERYONE OUT HERE IS DRIVING THE SAME SPEED AS YOU AND NO ONE ELSE EXPERIENCED ANY OF THESE WIND GUSTS.'
