This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2019 Toyota Corolla. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
Continental ContiProContact: P205/55 R16 89H Car wreck on 7/3/22 due to blown tire (drivers side: rear tire) on the interstate (6 lanes). Weather: 82 degrees/sunny/clear blue skies. Tires purchased with car in 2018. Regularly checked/maintained in same auto dealership since car was purchased. Last maintenance check: 2/19/22 and odometer reading was: 29121. Current odometer reading: 32,361. Per police report: No contributing roadway factors. Vision obscured: No. Damage to vehicle: Disabling damage. Ins. has inspected vehicle and confirmed blown tire.
The car has been hard to shift manual transmission since new. Sometimes will not go into gear, so you have to skip that gear. Now it started making a noise and has no power. It has 55k miles, dealership says it needs a new flywheel, throw-out bearing and clutch. They claim that is not covered under the 60,000 mile warranty. It's been at the dealership previously, at least 2 times for the shifting problem before. Those times dealership dismissed it as normal operation and didn't find any shifting problem.
Water was trapped in both the rear doors. Even though I was able to drain both using the plugs on the doors, this is a reoccurring problem because a lot of water was trapped inside the door panels. I could hear it sloshing around while driving and every time I opened or shut the doors. I don’t know if this could cause rust over time or if this could cause damage from becoming frozen inside the panels in the cold weather months.
Carvana delivered a vehicle with severely worn brakes & rotors on 2/26/22. Vehicle also had front end damage. driver side door does not match and is off hinges. Vehicle's advertised safety features such as the backup camera, lane assist, etc. do not work and have not since purchase. Carvana delivery driver stated vehicle was damaged in transport and promised that carvana would repair. Took vehicle to firestone to repair the brakes & rotors in March. Took vehicle to toyota dealership for inspection in May and was told that Firestone had not changed the brakes & rotors - they are still severely worn. Carvana refuses to switch the car out. Firestone states they want to inspect the vehicle.
Seat Belts Front Driver Side: Seat belt buckle won't engage and fails to go in for multiple attempts and has to be slammed into the Seat belt to actually work. Front Passenger Side: Seat belt buckle will not disengage when the button is pressed and has to be squished down as hard as a average man can do, my Girlfriend doesn't have enough strength to press it down. I Fear that if i get into an accident that the driver side wont be secured all the way and the passenger side will fail to disengage and cause my passengers to get stuck in the car Body Front Driver Side: The Bumper in the front Driver side continuously pops out, Car has not been in an Accident nor has anything collided with the front, i fear that it can go into the wheel well and cause my car to crash. The car is Quiet low in the front but barely scrapes when you go over a big dip, but i have watched my buddys do this and their bumpers dont fall out.
The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled upon depression of the accelerator pedal with the Trac Off and check engine warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was initially taken to an independent mechanic for a tune up; however, the failure persisted. The contact then discovered that his vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V012000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and the vehicle was serviced by the dealer. After the recall repair was completed, the vehicle was driven to a gas station and the vehicle failed to restart with the previous warning lights being illuminated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated while driving at 60-65 MPH, the vehicle shut off and lost electrical power. All the instrument panel warning lights including the lane departure assistance warning light illuminated. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The vehicle failed to restart. The contact then refilled gas in the vehicle with assistance and was able to restart the vehicle. However, the failure reoccurred while driving and the vehicle failed to restart after several attempts. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and drove to his residence. The contact stated while at a complete stop, another vehicle driving at 45 MPH crashed into the rear end of his vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy and the seat belts failed to engage. The contact sustained soreness and bruises on the upper and lower back and on the right arm and right shoulder. The passenger occupying the front passenger seat sustained head and neck injuries from slamming their face on the dashboard. The passenger occupying the rear passenger seat sustained whiplash, and neck and back injuries. The contact was able to drive to a hospital where the two passengers and himself received medical assistance. A police report was filed. An unknown dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not provide any assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.
Purchased a 2019 toyota corolla from carvana that was delivered 2/26/22. When delivered, driver pointed out front end date that apparently happened "during transport". Vehicle had bad brakes & rotors that I replaced. Vehicle has one door that does not match the rest of the car. The history was disclosed as clean, no accidents. Carvana is refusing to switch the car out and has no record of me asking for it to be switched with an undamaged car. Payments are being made to bridgecrest and are on time despite me telling them I would return the car if they didn't cancel the loan for this defective car.
The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle failed to respond. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer to be diagnosed; however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a report was filed. The approximate failure mileage was 18,200
12/12/21 I suffered a mulitple deer strike imploding the windshield and collapsing the roof. Two months later my restored car was returned to me on 2/4/22. It had noxious, concentrated fumes inside from adhesives and sealants not allowed to escape; I stuck my fingers with glass on a shelf under the dash; and I got blasted in the eyes and face with fine glass debris that were still in the defroster vents/ducts. It took 5 medical treatment visits to get my left eye healed. Toyota Brand Engagement Center Case 220720000770 states Toyota glass when broken should not be smaller than the size of "pebbles" and had no record on file of glass breakage turning into fine powder. An independent expert/owner of a third party body shop, Ridgeway's in Berryville VA., had advised he had a inquisitive discussion confirming with the recently-assigned ERIE Insurance Claims Adjuster, unrelated to my case, on other accidents where Toyota glass had been very difficult to clean up as it was in fine powder form, where other auto manufacturers were not. My prior accident and after accident incidents images and emails state MY original accident's glass damage resulted in about three forms of glass debris: fine glass powder as the greatest component everywhere and blown into my eyes; some glass crystals the size of a few grains of salt; and some glass shards, paper-thin laminated shards, that closely resembled the form of fish scales. I had used the words and provided images it looked like it had snowed all over the car's interior and me from the original accident. There are some 150 pages of documentation available for review.
Headlight is not angled correctly and doesn't allow the driver to fully see what is infront of them at night. Dealer inspected and found no issues with alignment, however driving at night is almost like drive without headlights on as they don't show light correctly.
Car drops to 500 RPM when idle. (Less than 28,000 miles)
Passenger seat shakes when at an ideal
Unknown engine runs really poor at idle I was ac is and is really loud transmission jerks and spark plugs replaced
Fuel is not filling up all the way. Fuel has once splashed out when stopped automatically. Used to have around 445 miles per tank, but now around 395. It had started around 59000 miles. I have had the dealership inspect and see if their were engine codes but there weren’t any. The time and care shouldn’t stop just because the check engine light isn't on as it may be a safety or mechanical issue in the future. I would like my car to be looked into as it may be in line with the fuel pump issues on the 2018 Camry, a family member owned one that was recalled for a fuel pump replacement so maybe a Corolla wouldn’t be to uncommon as well to have a know problem from the same company. I present with the utmost respect and hope I can get assistance and guidance on this minor issue as of now. Thank you for taking the time to read. Best Regards, A Toyota Corolla Hatchback Owner.
Transmission went out at 28k miles. New transmission put in by service department lags or gets stuck at 5000 rpm’s and won’t shift. Forward collision warning light comes on with nothing in front of vehicle at random 2 times it’s trigger automatic braking
Waiting at a stop light, The light turns green and I go to pull through the intersection with the intention of going under the overpass to get on the freeway. When the car gets to about 10-15 mph The car makes a pop noise & stalled. It felt like suddenly it was dragging a lot of weight and slowly I guided it to the right side of the road under the overpass for the freeway. I tried to start the vehicle and I didn’t do anything I couldn’t move the shifter and that’s when I knew the transmission had to of been the issue. So I called roadside assistance through my insurance they said it would be 90 minutes I had to wait underneath the freeway with the vehicle. A AAA tow truck driver that was about to board the freeway stopped even though he didn’t have the call And tried to see if I had AAA so he could tell me, I did not So he got in to see what was wrong with the vehicle immediately you could tell the shifter he then pulled out what he called the belief shift override and he put a screwdriver To release the shifter I get it into neutral so when the tow truck driver showed he could tow it. I had called Toyota to make sure that I could have the car towed there he said that’s fine. When I arrived to the Toyota dealership the service department was closed because it was Sunday which I understood but I had to be to work at nine and it was already close to two. I have two sons that were both at their daycare/babysitter which I would’ve need to return to pick up at 6 PM 7 PM the latest. All the representatives had no help for me even with it being my third car from the dealership. The Toyota Corolla LE is a 2019 with only 29,149 miles on it. I’m a light driver the vehicle goes to work & the grocery store. I had a service appointment Scheduled for August 6 at 7 AM For a basic service check fluids rotate tires, no oil change, received email 8:20am Claiming I canceled appointment. Night before incident check engine light came on
The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel was pulling to the left. The electric power steering failure warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the residence. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,000. The Vin was not available.
Transmission came apart internally The 2019 hatchback Corolla's were covered under the warranty but the Sedan's weren't but they have the same engine and transmission in it . Took the car to Toyota for inspection but they wouldn't cover under the warranty.
AS I WAS PUMPING GAS , ODOMETER FAILED , POWER TRAIN/STREEN ICON CAME ... AS I WOULD ACCELERATE ON HIGHWAY CAR WOULD SLIP , AS I PARKED CAR ACCELERATE ON ITS ON RESULTING IN A TOTAL
THE BRAKE BOOSTER IS FAILING, THE BRAKE PEDAL IS HARD TO PUSH DOWN ALMOST RESULTING IN A CAR CRASH. IF I DRIVE VEHICLE FAST, IT'S HARD TO STOP AND SLOW VEHICLE DOWN.
OUR VEHICLE STEERING WHEEL WILL GET STUCK EVERY MORNING FOR ABOUT 10 TO 15 SECONDS. IT WILL ALSO GET HARD TO TURN WHEN DRIVING WHICH TURNS INTO A SAFETY ISSUE AS MY WIFE IS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WITH OUR 6 YEAR OLD CHILD. WE TOOK TO THE LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP THE FIRST TIME AND THEY REPLACE THE CAR MAIN BATTERY. WE BROUGHT THE CAR BACK THE DAY AFTER WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND THE CALL US TO INFORM THAT THEY HAD REMOVED THE STEERING WHEEL COVER AND THE CAR WAS OK ( IT SOUNDS LIKE A JOKE BUT ITS NOT). WE SHOWED TO CAR TO THE TOYOTA SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGER AND HE SAID IT WAS OK FOR THE STEERING WHEEL TO BE STUCK EVERY TIME YOU TURN THE CAR ON BECAUSE THE CAR IS NOT BRAND NEW ANYMORE ( THE CAR IS 2019 AND HAS 30K MILES AND STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THE MANAGER DISMISS MY WIFE AND TOLD HER TO PICK UP THE CAR EVEN WITH THE SAFETY CONCERN EXPOSED.
I have called Bondy's Toyota of Enterprise, Enterprise, Alabama on and about February 17, 2021, also, on or about September 2, 2021, called Bondy's Toyota of Enterprise spoke to the service department both times VIN gave and both times denied a recall. Also, my brother James Wright took the vehicle to Bondy's and was told no recall for the airbags or fuel pump by the service department. On or about March 6, 2021, approximately 6:30 AM hit a deer on Coffee County Road 377, Elba, Alabama. had damage to the front windshield, right passenger side. A hole was found in the trunk where the trunk is separating from the body. Progressive insurance and Toyota are both refusing to fix this problem They have told me not to put anything in the trunk. Also Progressive is refusing to pay for the right side of the car. This has been going on with Progressive since March. the car had been taken to Wiregrass Collision Center 3 times and each time the center said Progressive never came and looked at the vehicle. Progressive was trying to force me use a auto repair shop in Troy, Alabama.
THERE IS A SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL. IN READING COROLLA ON-LINE FORUMS, IT APPEARS THAT IT HAS BEEN A TOYOTA PROBLEM FOR QUITE SOME TIME ' NOT SOMETHING SPECIFIC TO MY VEHICLE ALONE. THE FIRST COUPLE OF TIMES I HAD TO TAKE IT OFF CRUISE - AS IT WASN'T SAFE IN ANY WAY. THE LAST TIME I SET IT WELL BELOW THE DESIRED SPEED WITH NO OTHER VEHICLES IN VIEW SO THAT I COULD TRY TO ALLOW IT TO RUN ITS COMPLETE CYCLE. I WANTED TO SEE EXACTLY WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF ALLOWED TO RUN ITS COURSE. WHEN I SET THE CRUISE CONTROL, IT SETS FINE. THEN, WHEN I GO DOWN A VERY SLIGHT DOWNHILL, THE ENGINE REVS WILDLY UP TO 4000 RPM, HANGS THERE FOR A LONG WHILE AND PULLS THE CAR UP WELL OVER THE SET SPEED. THEN IT DROPS, INEXPLICABLY, TO APPROX. 3000 RPM, HANGS FOR A BIT, AND THEN DROPS DOWN TO WHERE IT SHOULD BE - APPROXIMATELY 1000 -1500 RPM AND THE SPEED GOES BACK TO NORMAL. WHAT GOOD IS A CRUISE CONTROL IF YOU NEED TO BABYSIT IT? YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO TAKE IT OFF BECAUSE IT'S ACCELERATING RAPIDLY OUT OF CONTROL! I READ SOMEONE'S ACCOUNT OF THEIR CAR ACCELERATING UNTIL THEY CAME UP BEHIND SOMEONE ELSE, THE CAR BRAKES CAME ON, AND THEY WERE NEARLY REAR-ENDED BY THE PERSON BEHIND THEM BECAUSE OF THE SUDDEN BRAKING. IT SOUNDS LIKE A TICKING TIME BOMB!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT, AT HIGH SPEED ANOTHER VEHICLE REAR ENDED THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND PUSHED THE VEHICLE TO THE POINT WHERE HE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RESTRAIN HIM. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED LOW BACK AND NECK INJURIES, THE FRONT PASSENGER HIT HER FACE AGAINST THE DASHBOARD AND SUSTAINED A FRACTURED NOSE, BRUISED LEGS AND ARMS INJURIES BOTH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OTHER DRIVER DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A REPAIR TOW SHOP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WENT TO ALBERIC MOTORS MITSUBISHI, CARR. PR 1 K.M 30.3 BARRIO, CAGUAS, 00726, PUERTO RICO, AND ASKED FOR A CARFAX REPORT AND WAS INFORMED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE HIM WITH THE CARFAX REPORT. THE CONTACT THEN INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE AND THAT THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V024000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 37,000.
MY CLUTCH PEDAL SQUEAKS AND FEELS SPONGY AT TIMES. I HAVE VIBRATIONS COMING FROM CLUTCH PEDAL WHEN ACCELERATING AND RELEASING CLUTCH ALMOST AT BITE POINT. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I'M AT A STOP AND PUT IN FIRST GEAR AND GO THE CLUTCH VIBRATES AND A I GET ALMOST LIKE A GROWLING OR CHATTERING COMING FROM TRANSMISSION. MY CLUTCH TENDS TO ACT UP MORE IN THE CITY. IT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE IF THE CONCENTRIC SLAVE CYLINDER IS GOING OUT.
I HAVE A 2019 COROLLA HATCHBACK XSE THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THAT AT LEAST IN 30 OCCASIONS THE CAR DOESN'T RESPOND WHEN I PUSH THE ACCELERATOR HAS ALMOST CAUSED A ACCIDENT AT LEAST 3 TIMES. I HAVE TAKEN IT 2 TIMES TO THE DEALER. THE FIRST THEY TOLD ME THEY KNEW OF THE PROBLEM BUT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO SINCE THEY DIDIN'T HAVE A FIX. LAST TIME I TOOK IT ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO THEY TOLD ME MY CAR WASN'T IN THE RECALL LIST. I CHECKED THE PART AND IT IS IN FACT THE MODEL THAT HAS THE ISSUE. WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR ME TO CRASH.
FROM NHTSA WEBSITE: JAN 13,2020 MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER 20TA02 NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 20V012 RECALL STATUS RECALL INCOMPLETE SUMMARY THE SUBJECT VEHICLES ARE EQUIPPED WITH A LOW-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WHICH MAY STOP OPERATING. IF THIS WERE TO OCCUR, WARNING LIGHTS AND MESSAGES MAY BE DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, AND THE ENGINE MAY RUN ROUGH. THIS MAY RESULT IN A VEHICLE STALL, AND THE VEHICLE MAY BE UNABLE TO BE RESTARTED. SAFETY RISK IF A VEHICLE STALL OCCURS WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEEDS, THIS COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH. ON 09/12/2020 I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED. THEY COULD NOT SCHEDULE ME BEFORE 10/12/2020 DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE FUEL PUMP IS ON BACK ORDER. TOYOTA KNEW SINCE AT LEAST JANUARY 2020 THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL PUMP. IN SEPTEMBER 2020 ON BACK ORDER?!
On or about August 12, 2020 the car was enroute from Corpus Christi, Texas to College Station, Texas. The bumper dislodged from the car and almost feel underneath causing a serious accident. This is a low clearance car with the bottom of the car having an extension causing more difficulty. The car was pulled over to the side of the road and temporarily put in place. The car was taken to AutoNation Toyota in Corpus Christi, Texas for repair on or about August 15, 2020. Once again, the bumper detached almost causing another accident on or about June 3, 2022. The car was taken in again for repair with Auto Nation Toyota Corpus Christi on or about June 3, 2022 and the pins were replaced. The pins did not hold and the dealership was notified immediately. An appointment was made to secure the pins for June 20, 2022. The dealership stated another bumper needed to be purchased. THIS APPEARS TO BE A VERY SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW CAUSING THE BUMPER TO DETACH EASILY. THE BUMPER CONSEQUENTLY GOES UNDER THE CAR WITH LOW CLEARANCE AND POTENTIALLY CAUSING A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WITH A POTENTIAL INABILITY TO CONTROL THE CAR WHEN THE BUMPER DISLODGES AND GOES UNDER THE CAR. THIS HAZARD IS NOT ONLY FOR THE DRIVER OF THE CAR BUT OTHERS DRIVERS ON THE ROAD AS WELL.
MY VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WHITH A LOW PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WHICH MAY STOP OPERATING , THIS MAY RESULT IN A VEHICLE STALL, I CALLED TO TOYOTA OK KATY TO GET FIXED AND THE ONLY RESPOND IS THE THEY DONT HAVE FULL TO BE REPLACED AND I HAVE TO WAIT. AT THIS POINT THIS ISUE HAS 10 MONTHS.
NO ANDROID AUTO SUPPORT ON US MODELS EVEN THO EUROPE MODELS GET THE UPDATE. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE THE DRIVER BASICALLY HAS TO USE THE PHONE TO USE MAPS OR CALLS
Toyota didn't install new fuel pump in my car. I set it up to be done when I had the air bags done. They did the air bags but never did the fuel pump recall. I've been fighting with them ever since. Now my fuel pump is going out. My car stalls when I put any amount of gas in it. I'm afraid it will stall while I'm driving which is why there is a recall on the part.
I WAS TRAVELING NORTH OH HWY.45 OUT OF GALVESTON TX . THE CAR`S CRUSE CONTROL WAS SET ON 60 MPH . I HAD JUST CLEARED THE LAST OVERPASS AND WAS ON THE FLAT ROAD WHEN THE MOTOR RAN UP TO 4000 RPM WITH NO SPEED INCREASE. THE CRUSE WAS STILL SET AT 60 MPH. . THE CAR BUMPED AND THE THE RPM. DROPPED TO 1600 RPM . I CALL THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME TO JUST DRIVE IT AND WATCH IT . I DON`T THINK THIS IS A NORMAL OPERATION .
TOYOTA RECALLED MOST TOYOTA VEHICLES MY CAR WAS ONE OF THEM AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR MY VEHICLE SAT AT AN ALL STAT TOYOTA IN BATON ROUGE, LA 70815 FOR OVER 3 TO 4 MONTHS WHILE I DROVE A RENTAL BY THE COMPANY ITSELF. WHEN I RECEIVED THE VEHICLE BACK I WAS TOLD ALL OF THE DEFECTS WERE COMPLETED AND MY CAR SHOULD BE RUNNING PERFECT. IMMEDIACY WITHIN THAT WEEK MY CAR WAS STILL 'STALLING' I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN, I IMMEDIACY TOLD THE SERVICE MANAGER, HE DROVE MY VEHICLE AROUND THE BLOCK AND DETERMINED NOTHING WAS WRONG ON HIS END AND DIDN'T OFFER ME ANY OTHER REMEDY. NOT ONLY DO I NOT THINK THIS IS RIGHT THE NEGLIGENCE IN TOYOTA OF THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS IS BEYOND ME, AGAIN I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN TIL THIS DAY MY VEHICLE STALLS AT CERTAIN POINTS ESPECIALLY GOING THROUGH ONCOMING TRAFFIC. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DRIVE THIS CAR AND I'M PUTTING MYSELF AND MY CHILDREN'S LIFE IN DANGER. AND IF WE DIE BECAUSE OF THIS DEFECT TOYOTA WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE MILLIONS OFF OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE.
BECAUSE TOYOTA WILL NOT ENABLE ENTUNE 3.0 TO WORK WITH GOOGLE MAPS I FEEL THAT THEY ARE DELIBERATELY ENDANGERING MY SAFETY. I NOW HAVE TO USE MY PHONE TO LOOK UP ADDRESSES INSTEAD OF A HANDS-FREE OPTION. THEIR SCOUT GPS MAPS IS FREQUENTLY WRONG AND DOES NOT PROVIDE THE NAVIGATION I NEED ON A DAILY USE BASIS.
TOYOTA IS TAKING AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FINDING A REMEDY FOR THE FUEL PUMP RECALL. MY WIFE AND I ARE AFRAID TO DRIVE LONG DISTANCES. WHY CAN TOYOTA NOT REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP WITH ONE FROM A PRIOR YEAR THAT WORKED? CAN I, AT MY OWN EXPENSE, HAVE A MECHANIC INSTALL ANOTHER TYPE OF FUEL PUMP THAT WORKS? *TR

ITS LIKE WHEN I COME TO A STOP THE CAR IDLES REAL RUFF SOMETIMES AND ITS LIKE IT WANTS TO CUT OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING. *TR
THE PROBLEM THAT I'M HAVING IS THAT AT TIMES SUCH AS WHEN AT A STOP SIGN OR U TURNS AND MAINLY WHEN I NEED TO CROSS A LANE IN A SPEEDY WAY THE VEHICLE LOOSES POWER, IF I NEED TO CROSS A STREET AND I GIVE IT GAS THE VEHICLE WILL START MOVING BUT ONLY AT A VERY LOW SPEED, A FEW TIMES IF IT WASN'T FOR THE OTHER VEHICLES STOPPING OR SLOWING DOWN I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN HIT, WHEN THIS IS HAPPENING I GIVE IT ALL THE GAS BUT IT STILL DOESN'T GO ANY FASTER IT TAKES BETWEEN 5 AND 10 SECONDS BEFORE IT FINALLY PICKS SPEED, JUST LAST WEEK I GOT CURSED AT BECAUSE ANOTHER DRIVER ASSUMED I WAS SLOWING DOWN IN FRONT OF HIS VEHICLE ON PURPOSE. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME MAYBE 2 OR 3 TIMES A WEEK BUT IT IS VERY SCARY WHEN IT HAPPENS BECAUSE ONCE THE VEHICLE STARTS TO MOVE IT'S TOO LATE TO PUT IT ON REVERSE. OVER THE PAST YEAR I HAVE TAKING THIS TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS AND NONE WERE ABLE TO FIND A FAULT. PLEASE HELP BEFORE MYSELF, MY WIFE OR MY SON GETS KILL

ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, AFTER TURNING OFF THE CAR (PLUS MINUS 4 PM), WHEN ENTERING THE GARAGE (ABOUT 8 PM), A NOISE IS FELT, AS IF SOMETHING ELECTRIC WERE ACTIVATED, APPARENTLY THE NOISE COMES NEAR THE FUEL TANK OR IN THE GAS OUTLET SYSTEM, AT THAT MOMENT ONLY THE NOISE IS REMOVED, WHEN I START THE CAR AND TURN IT OFF
