VSC VSC TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS COMES ON AS WELL AS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES POORLY. THIS MAKES FOR A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION BECAUSE THE VEHICLE CAN SLOW DRAMATICALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. LIGHTS GO OFF FOR A LITTLE WHILE WHEN THE BATTERY IS DISCONNECTED BUT ALL LIGHTS AND ACCELERATION PROBLEMS RETURN SHORTLY. OWNERS HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS REPLACING PARTS WITHOUT A LONG TERM FIX. SPOUSE WILL NO LONGER DRIVE THE VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THIS DANGEROUS PROBLEM. TOTOYA NEEDS TO FIX THIS WIDESPREAD PROBLEM.
TAKATA RECALL. CALLED A LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER MONTHS AGO WHO TOLD ME THEY WOULD CALL WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. STILL WAITING FOR A CALL. THIS AIRBAG SITUATION IS DANGEROUS AND GREATLY LIMITS THE USE OF THIS VEHICLE AS SPOUSE WILL NO LONGER DRIVE IT AND I AM ABLE TO USE IT ON A LIMITED BASIS. I KNOW THERE IS A BACKLOG BUT NHTSA NEEDS TO FORCE TOYOTA TO FIX THESE DEFECTIVE VEHICLES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 TOYOTA SEQUOIA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE BRAKES WERE ENGAGED AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AS THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE PULLED OVER AND STOPPED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS HYDRAULIC ASSEMBLY, WHEEL SPEED SENSOR, STROKE SENSOR, AND ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER; THE BRAKE FAILURE CONTINUED TO RECUR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLES ACTUATOR HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 133,000.
2005 TOYOTA SEQUOIA WITH 87000 MILES HAS LOST POWER WHEN THE TRAC VSC AND OFF TRAC PLUS ENGINE IS ON. THE SEQUOIA WILL ONLY TRAVEL 30 MILES PER HOUR. TOP. IT HAPPEN JUNE 19, 2016 WHEN DRIVING ON THE STREETS WE STARTED TO GO UPHILL WHEN MY WIFE AND ME NOTICE THAT SEQUOIA HAD ON POWER AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON PLUS TRAC OFF AND VSC TRAC LIGHTS WERE ON. I LOOK UP THE PROBLEM ON THE COMPUTER TO FINED OUT THAT OTHERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I CHECK THE TOYOTA WEB SITE TO SEE IF ANY RECALLS. I ENTER THE VIN NUMBER AND FOND NONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. THANKS
MILEAGE IS 76,500 AND DRIVING ON CITY STREET AND MY VSC TRAC, VSC OFF AND BREAK LIGHT COMES ON WITH A GRINDING NOISE. I PULLED THE CAR ON THE SIDE AND TURN OFF THE CAR. EVER SINCE THE VSC TRAC, VSC OFF AND BREAK LIGHT ARE ALWAYS ON. I WENT ONLINE AND I SEE A LOT OF SEQUOIA OWNERS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. IS THERE A RECALL ON THIS??
THE REAR DOOR HAS CONTINUED TO HAVE ISSUES REPEATEDLY. THE HANDLE TO OPEN THE REAR DOOR BROKE ONCE AND HAD TO BE REPLACED IN ORDER TO OPEN THE DOOR. THE REAR WIPER HAS STOPPED WORKING SEVERALL TIMES, AND THE WINDOW IN THE REAR DOOR HAS STOPPED WORKING MULTIPLE TIMES DESPITE REPEATED REPAIRS.

ENGINE WARNING AND VSC TRAC OFF LIGHTS, I HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THESE WARNINGS. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IT HAD HAPPENED TO MY SUV. THE LAST TIME WAS ON A LONG VACATION TRIP AND IT SUDDENLY GOES ON AND THE ENGINE STARTS TO GO ON LIMP MODE, WHERE IT SLOWS DOWN DRAMATICALLY EVEN THOUGH THE SUV'S ENGINE IS FINE. IT WAS PRETTY DANGEROUS BECAUSE WE WERE ON A FWY WHERE THE SPEED IS 75 MPH. WE TOOK IT IN FOR REPAIR IN TOYOTA DEALER AND IT JUST NEED A ROUTINE MAINTENANCE WHICH COST ME $2600 TO GET THIS LIGHTS OFF! TWO YEARS LATER TO THIS DAY, THE LIGHTS WENT ON AGAIN AND NOW THE SAME THING, IT IS GOING TO COST ME $2600 TO GET THESE LIGHT OFF! THIS IS HAPPENING A LOT TO ALL 2005 SEQUOIA. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR THESE...
I EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM WITH ENGINE WARNING AND VSC TRAC OFF LIGHTS GOING ON. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALSO CAME ON. MY FAMILY AND I WERE ON A TRIP AND OUR SEQUOIA ALL OF A SUDDEN LOST POWER. IT SLOWED DOWN DRAMATICALLY EVEN THOUGH THE ENGINE WAS FINE. IT WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION BECAUSE WE WERE ON AN INTERSTATE WHERE THE SPEED IS 70 MPH. I ALSO EXPERIENCED ALL THE BRAKES MAKING A MASSIVE GRINDING NOISE WHILE GOING SLOW INTO A RESTAURANT. (THE BRAKES HAVE LESS THAN 3000 MILES ON THEM.) THE PARKING BRAKE LIGHT ALSO COMES ON PERIODICALLY.
I HAVE VSC TRAC, VSC OFF, AND CHECK ENGINE. IF YOU GIVE IT A LOT OF FUEL, IT JUST SOUNDS LIKE IT WANTS TO GO, BUT IT DOESN'T TRANSLATE INTO POWER IN THE REAR END. I USE MY CODE READER AND IT SHOWED CODES P1441 AND P1444. SAYS I MAY HAVE: A) FAULTY VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (VSV) FOR AIR INJECTION CONTROL CIRCUIT, B)FAULTY AIR SWITCHING VALVE NUMBER 2, OR C)FAULTY VSV FOR AIR INJECTION SYSTEM. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED TO MY SEQUOIA, AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A RECURRING ISSUES FOR TOYOTA SEQUOIA OWNERS AND IN FACT IT IS A RECURRING ISSUES FOR OTHER MODELS AS WELL. THIS COST ME APPROXIMATELY $2200 LAST TIME AND NOW 2 YEARS LATER IT IS BACK FOR ANOTHER $2200 TO REPAIR. IT'S ALL THE OVER THE INTERNET ABOUT THIS VSC TRAC, VSC OFF, AND CHECK ENGINE, IT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED!
I GET CONSTANT WARNING LIGHTS FOR BRAKE, VSC AND TRAC. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE SEQUOIA. IT SHUTS DOWN THOSE SAFETY FEATURES.
VSC TRAC OFF, THE VEHICLE LOOSES POWER COMPLETELY AND THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE. MY WIFE WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND LOST POWER. LUCKILY, SHE WAS NOT IN TRAFFIC. RESTARTED AND MADE IT HOME. THE VSC TRAC OFF LIGHTS ARE STILL ON. VERY DANGEROUS IF THE VEHICLE LOOSED POWER COMPLETELY DRIVING 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. VSC TRAC LIGHT ON. VSC TRAC OFF LIGHT ON. MECHANIC CHECKED CODES AND REPLACED #6 COIL AS WELL AS REPLACING SPARK PLUGS. DROVE IT HOME AND ALL LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN. VEHICLE IN MOTION WHEN LIGHTS APPEARED CITY STREET, HIGHWAY , GRAVEL LIGHTS ON.
ABS FAILED AND CAR SHUT WHEN ABS IS LOCK
DEPRESSING THE BRAKES - EVEN LIGHTLY WHEN SLOWING INTERMITTENTLY ACTIVATES THE ABS ALONG WITH A LOUD BUZZING MECHANICAL NOISE. AS SUCH, I'M NOT ABLE TO SLOW AS QUICKLY WITH THE ABS DEPLOYED. MECHANIC REPORTS THIS IS RELATED TO TSB - BUT NO RECALL YET.

THE VSC TRAC, VSC OFF, BRAKE, AND ABS LIGHTS ALL COME ON ALL AT ONCE. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE I FIRST BOUGHT THE USED SUV IN MAY 2013. IT WORRIES ME AS I AM ON THE FREEWAY NOT KNOWING WHAT WILL HAPPEN. NOT SURE HOW THIS WILL AFFECT MY VEHICLE IN THE LONG RUN. IT NORMALLY COMES ON WHEN I DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR MORE THAN ONE HOUR AT A CRAWLING SPEED. FOR EXAMPLE, THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES THE FREEWAY HITS A RUSH HOUR MOMENT AND EVERYONE WILL START ROLLING/CRAWLING WITH THEIR VEHICLES. AS THIS HAPPENS, THE LIGHTS WILL COME ON AT LEAST TWO TIMES IN A 30 MINUTES TO ONE HOUR TIME FRAME.
A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO, WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, MY SEQUOIA SUDDENLY STOPPED ACCELERATING. TRAC LIGHT AND VSC LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. MY SPEED WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 40MPH AND WOULD NOT EVEN BRAKE. I WAS IN THE LEFT LANE AND THE CARS BEHIND ME WERE GOING PRETTY FAST AND ALMOST HIT ME. I AM LUCKY THERE WAS NO CAR IN THE RIGHT LANE, SO I PULLED TO THAT LANE JUST IN TIME. IT WAS A SCARY MOMENT FOR ME BECAUSE MY KIDS WERE WITH ME ALSO. I ALWAYS THOUGHT OF TOYOTA OF HAVING SAFETY IN THEIR CARS, BUT WHEN I CAME HOME TO RESEARCH WHAT MIGHT BE HAPPENING TO THE CAR, I FOUND OUT MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND THUS IT IS A MANUFACTURERS PROBLEM. I AM SUPRISED TOYOTA IS NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. DO THEY NOT CARE OF THE SAFETY OF THE CONSUMERS? THE MILAGE ON MY SEQUOIA IS ONLY 39,000 AND I DO NOT DRIVE IT TOO OFTEN, AND ALSO HAVE MAINTAINED IT VERY WELL. WE SPEND SO MUCH MONEY ON THIS CAR AND THIS VEHICLE REALLY WAS NOT WORTH IT IF IT CAME WITH SO MANY FACTORY DEFAULTS. PLEASE FOLLOW-UP ON THIS ISSUE TO HAVE IT RESOLVED.

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND THE FRAME NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
MY 2005 SEQUOIA HAS THE VSC OFF AND VSC TRAC LIGHTS ON AND IT CAUSES A HESITATION IN ACCELERATION - WHICH IS A SIGNIFICANT CRASH HAZARD. I NOTIFIED TOYOTA ABOUT THIS AND ASKED IF THEY WOULD FIX IT BECAUSE THEY RECALLED OTHER YEARS OF SEQUOIAS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. TOYOTA WILL NOT FIX IT AND SAID THAT THE 2005 HAS DIFFERENT PARTS THAN THE YEARS THAT THEY RECALLED. THAT IS SILLY BECAUSE THE PROBLEM IS THERE EVEN IF THE PARTS ARE DIFFERENT. THE HATCHBACK LATCH HAS ALSO BROKE AND THE HATCHBACK WILL NOT OPEN. I LOOKED ONLINE AND SAW THAT THIS IS ANOTHER WELL KNOWN PROBLEM WITH 2005 SEQUOIAS THAT TOYOTA REFUSES TO FIX DESPITE THE DANGERS IF THERE WERE A CRASH AND SOMEBODY NEEDED TO EXIT FROM THE HATCH AREA.
WHEN TURNING CORNERS IN MOTION, THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ILLUMINATES CAUSING A LOSS OF BRAKING AND ACCELERATION. THERE IS NOW WAY TO CONTROL THE VEHICLES ACCELERATION/DECELERATION UNTIL THE LIGHT GOES OFF. TYPICALLY LAST ABOUT 3-5 SECONDS. THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN.

TONIGHT WHEN BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY I HEARD A LOUD GRINDING NOISE AND MY BRAKE PEDAL WAS VERY HARD TO PUSH. THE BRAKE LIGHT, TRAC OFF AND VSC TRAC LIGHTS ALL WERE ON. I PARKED THE VEHICLE AND CYCLED THE ENGINE AND AS SOON AS I DROVE AWAY IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH JUST THE BRAKE LIGHT COMING ON THEN GOING OFF AFTER TURNING OFF THE KEY BUT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME ALL 3 HAVE COME ON AND I HAVE HAD NO BRAKES AT ALL. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND NOTICED THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND YET TOYOTA HAS FAILED TO ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM. I WAS VERY LUCKY MY WIFE WAS NOT DRIVING THE CAR WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE VEHICLE.
I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 30 MPH AND THE VSC OFF, VSC TRAC, E BRAKE LIGHT ALL CAME ON AT THE SAME TIME AND WILL NOT SHUT OFF. THEY HAVE BEEN ON FOR ABOUT A WEEK NOW. CANNOT GET THEM TO TURN OFF.
I HAVE A 05 SEQUIAO GREAT TRUCK BUT... THE FRAME UNDER THE TRUCK IS TOTALLY RUSTY EVERYTHING!! I T DOESN'T EVEN LOOK SAFE I LIVE IN THE SOUTH SO NO SNOW. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM TOYOTA 2 WEEKS AGO INDICATING THE SAFETY RECALL WITH THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG INFLATORS WHICH WERE INCORRECTLY MANUFACTURED AND HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO FATALLY INJURE THE PASSENGER IN THE EVENT THEY ARE DEPLOYED IN AN ACCIDENT. TO DATE, HUNTINGTON TOYOTA OF LONG ISLAND HAS NOT RECEIVED THE NECESSARY PARTS TO COMPLETE THE REPAIR FOR THE RECALL AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THEY WILL HAVE THE PARTS. I PURCHASED AN SUV BECAUSE I OBVIOUSLY HAD A NEED FOR MORE SEATS AND ROOM. I USE MY TRUCK DAILY TRANSPORTING MY CHILDREN AND THEIR FRIENDS TO VARIOUS FUNCTIONS, OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A SMALLER VEHICLE. SO TOYOTA'S SUGGESTION TO VEHICLE OWNERS TO NOT USE THE PASSENGER SEAT, IS UNACCEPTABLE. I AM REQUESTING THAT THE NECESSARY PARTS FOR THIS AIRBAG BE IMMEDIATELY SENT TO HUNTINGTON TOYOTA FOR MY VEHICLE. I HAVE 3 TOYOTA VEHICLES AND HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME CUSTOMER, BUT IF THIS MATTER IS NOT RECTIFIED TO MY SATISFACTION, I WILL NO LONGER CONSIDER TOYOTA VEHICLES FOR FUTURE PURCHASE.
WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, VSC OFF LIGHT, VSC TRAC LIGHT, AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT ALL CAME ON AT ONCE, AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING, AND I EXPERIENCED A DRAMATIC DECREASE IN VEHICLE POWER. I DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME NOTICING A DRASTIC CHANGE IN ACCELERATION AS THE SEQUOIA WOULD NOT ACCELERATE NORMALLY; IT WOULD ACCELERATE AT A SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED RATE, TOPPING OUT AT 35MPH ON THE FLATS, 30 MPH ON AN INCLINE, I WAS ABLE TO REACH 70MPH GOING DOWN HILL ON A HIGHWAY. SINCE THAT DAY, DURING START UP, THE ENGINE MAKES A HIGH-PITCH VACUUM NOISE, WHICH DROPS OFF AND NORMAL ENGINE SOUND RETURNS. ALL DASHBOARD LIGHTS ARE NORMAL, UNTIL 10-15 SECONDS AFTER START, WHEN THE VSC OFF/VSC TRAC/BRAKE LIGHTS ALL ILLUMINATE, AND REMAIN ON UNTIL THE ENGINE IS TURNED OFF AND THE POOR ACCELERATION AND DECREASE POWER ARE NOW THE NORM. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE SHOULD THIS HAPPEN TO SOMEONE ACCELERATING OUT OF AN INTERSECTION, OR NEEDING MORE POWER ON A HIGHWAY.
TOYOTA ISSUED A RECALL BASED UPON A FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ISSUE. WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT TO FIX THE RECALL BUT TOYOTA SAYS THEY ARE PROHIBITED FROM DOING THE WORK. THEY HAVE THE PART IN STOCK. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANYONE ON A WAITING LIST. I WANT OUR CAR FIXED. WE HAVE HAD TO REARRANGE A TRIP TAKEN IN EARLY SEPTEMBER BECAUSE OF THE RECALL AND INABILITY TO HAVE IT FIXED. WE ARE FOLLOWING YOUR RECOMMENDATION THAT WE DO NOT USE THE FRONT SEAT. WE HAVE BEEN INCONVENIENCED ON A DAILY BASIS BECAUSE WE CAN NOT TRANSPORT 7 PEOPLE AS WE CUSTOMARILY DO FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES. WE HAVE NOW HAD THE ADDITIONAL BURDEN AND COST TO REARRANGE TWO LONG DISTANT TRIPS AT THE END OF THIS YEAR BECAUSE WE CAN NOT USE THE CAR TO CARRY PEOPLE AS IT WAS DESIGNED. I UNDERSTAND THERE MUST BE ALOT OF CARS TO FIX. I UTILIZE MINE IN THE MANNER OF TRANSPORTING 7 OR A FAMILY OF 4 WITH DOGS AND LUGGAGE. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE RECALL CAN NOT BE TAKEN CARE OF IN AN EXPEDITIOUS MANNER IF THE PART IS IN STOCK AND NO ONE ELSE IS WAITING FOR SUCH A RECALL REPAIR. PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY A LOYAL CUSTOMER WHO PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FOR ITS DESIGNED PURPOSE CAN NOT GET YOUR (PROBLEM) RECALL ON THE VEHICLE FIXED IMMEDIATELY WHEN PARTS ARE NOT ONLY AVAILABLE BUT IN STOCK AT OUR LOCAL DEALER? I WANT THE FULL USE OF MY VEHICLE. I DO NOT WANT TO BE INCONVENIENCED FURTHER. TOYOTA HAS ALWAYS GONE THE EXTRA MILE AND EARNED OUR LOYALTY BUT IF THIS IS MAKING NO SENSE AND CAUSING GRIEF AND FRUSTRATION.

THE SECONDARY INJECTION PUMP HAS FAILED. IT STARTED WITH A LOUD WINDING NOISE ANYTIME IT WAS STARTED AT A COLD START. THE NOISE WOULD LAST A FEW MINUTES. THEN EVERYTHING WAS FINE. THEN THE ENTIRE THING WENT OUT AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH ALL TRACTION CONTROL HAS GONE OUT. THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE AT A NORMAL SPEED AND IT IS VERY DANGEROUS WHILE DRIVING, ESPECIALLY ON THE INTERSTATE. TOTAL COST TO REPAIR IS OVER $3,000.00 IT IS A WELL DOCUMENTED CASE OF COMPLAINTS AND THEY HAVE ISSUED WARRANTY FOR OTHER YEAR MODELS FOR THIS PART TO BE REPLACED- BUT NOT 2005. *JS

I BOUGHT A TOYOTA SEQUOIA 2005 BACK IN 2005 AT RICE TOYOTA DEALER IN GREENSBORO . TODAY , WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE STREET AND TURNED ON THE LEFT LIGHT SIGNAL WITH LESS THAN 15 MPH WHILE USING THE BRAKE, I HEARD A VERY LOUD GRINDING NOISE AND THAT INSTANTLY I SAW ALL 3 SIGNS ( TRAC OFF, VSC TRAC, BRAKE ) ON AT THE SAME TIME. I AM ALMOST OUT OF BREATH AND SCARED TO DEATH. HAVE RECEIVED AT LEAST TWO RECALL LETTERS FROM TOYOTA ADVISING THAT THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN INCLUDED IN TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL, HOWEVER, BECAUSE IT IS NOT IN ONE OF THE HIGH HUMIDITY AREAS, TOYOTA WILL NOT REPLACE THE AIR BAG. THE RECALL HAD AFFECTED TOYOTA SEQUOIA MODEL YEAR 2002 TO 2007, MY MODEL YEAR IS 2005. NOW THAT THE NHTSA HAS FORCED THE AUTO MAKERS TO BE REALISTIC; TOYOTA MAGICALLY REDEFINES THE TOYOTA SEQUOIA MODEL YEARS AS ONLY 2002 AND 2003 TOYOTA SEQUOIA. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE VERY UNDERHANDED. IF I HAD MOVED TO GULF COAST AREA WITH MY 2005 SEQUOIA,THEN MY VEHICLE WOULD BE REPAIRED WITH A NEW AIR BAG MODULE; BECAUSE I LIVE IN A NON-GULF COAST AREA, THE VERY SAME VEHICLE IS NOT INVOLVED IN A NATIONWIDE RECALL. VERY DISINGENUOUS!! I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT NHTSA ACTIONS WERE TO FORCE THE AUTOMAKERS TO EXPAND THE RECALL OF THESE TAKATA AIRBAGS, NOT NARROWLY FOCUS THE RECALL TO TWO MODEL YEARS FROM SIX MODEL YEARS. I IMAGINE THAT IS CONSIDERABLE INITIAL SAVINGS FOR TOYOTA. I BELIEVE NHTSA SHOULD INVESTIGATE HOW SEVERAL MODEL YEARS GET REMOVED FROM NATIONWIDE RECALL LIST, APPEARS THAT OTHER MANUFACTURERS ARE ACTUALLY EXPANDING THEIR TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL TO COVER A WIDER RANGE OF VEHICLES AND MAKING IT NATIONWIDE.
