THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A SUDDEN INCREASE OF ENGINE RPMS WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. I WANT TO CORRECT THAT ON OUR 2012 SIENNA IT IS THE BACK SLIDING DOOR THAT IT IS THE "HINGE" THAT OPENS AND SHUTS THE DOOR, LOCKS IT, ATTACHES IT TO THE VAN THAT IS STARTING TO RUST. TOYOTA REPLY IS TILL IT FALLS OFF, OR STARTS TO "BE MORE RUSTED, BUT NOT IN OUR LIFETIME" IT IS COSMETIC, YET IT IS DANGEROUS AND WILL AFFECT THE RESALE VALUE AND IT IS NEAR THE WIRES THAT OPEN AND SHUT IT, WHICH I HAVE READ PROBLEMS ABOUT. TODAY WHILE CLEANING THE VAN, I NOTICED THE LEVER AND/OR LATCH THAT HOLDS THE BACK SLIDING DOORS AND MOVES THEM OPEN AND SHUT, KEEPS THE BACK SLIDING DOORS ON, IS STARTING TO RUST WHERE THE DOOR IS CONNECTED NEAR THE CABLES THAT OPEN AND SHUT THE DOOR. *TR
AFTER THE WEATHER DROP TO 45 DEGREES ON OCTOBER 5, 2014 I STARTED MY 2012 TOYOTA SIENNA (AWD), I IMMEDIATELY NOTICE THAT ALL LIGHT IN THE PANEL WERE ON. THERE IS WARNING IN CENTER VIEW PANEL ALERTING ME THAT I NEED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP FOR ABS, VSC AND BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM. THE FOLLOWING DAY I DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND NOTICE THAT THE SPEEDOMETER AND GAS GAUGE ARE NOT WORKING. THE SPEEDOMETER HAND IS MOVING BACK AND FORTH. THE GAS IS ALWAYS IN THE FULL MODE. I ALSO NOTICE THAT THE BRAKE IS ALWAYS IN ON MODE. DRIVING WITHOUT WORKING SPEEDOMETER, BRAKE SYSTEM AND GAS RANGE ARE REALLY PUTTING MY LIFE IN DANGER. I AM HOPING THAT MY DEALERSHIP WHICH SUPERIOR TOYOTA CAN FIX THESE PROBLEM. I AM ALSO HOPING THAT WARRANTY WILL COVERT THE DEFECTIVE PART. *TR
THE PERSON SIT BEHIND THE DRIVER, PUSH THE AUTOMATIC VAN DOOR CLOSE BUTTON TO CLOSE THE DOOR THEN REACHED OVER FOR THE SEAT BELT. THE PERSON ACCIDENTALLY REACH THE HAND BETWEEN THE SLIDING DOOR AND DOOR FRAME RIGHT NEXT TO THE SEAT BELT ANCHOR CLOSE TO THE DOOR. THE DOOR CLOSED ON THE OPEN FINGER AND TRIED TO CLOSE EVEN TIGHTER. THE DOOR MECHANISM DID NOT REVERSE AND OPEN THE DOOR BACK UP, BUT CONTINUES TO TRY TO CLOSE THE DOOR COMPLETELY. AFTER SOME HARD PULL ON THE DOOR HANDLE, THE DOOR FINALLY REOPENED. THE PERSON FINGER WAS BRUISED AND THE WEDDING RINGS SHAPE HAS BEEN DAMAGED. THE RING IS NO LONGER ROUND NOR STRAIGHT, IT HAS BEEN TORQUED BY THE FORCE OF THE DOOR MECHANISM. *TR
DRIVER'S SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR WILL NOT LATCH SHUT WHEN CLOSING DOOR EITHER MANUALLY OF ELECTRICALLY. WHEN CLOSING FRONT LATCHES ENGAGE OF SLIDING DOOR BUT SUBSEQUENT REAR LATCHING DOES NOT ENGAGE UPON END OF CLOSING CYCLE. ONE CAN HEAR REAR OF SLIDING DOOR LOCKING MECHANISM ACTUATOR WHINE WHEN ATTEMPTING FINAL CLOSE CYCLE. AFTER THE VAN'S FAILURE TO CYCLE THE DOOR SHUT AT REAR, THEN ALSO AT REAR A DIAGNOSTIC SOUNDS A LONG BEEP WARNING SOUND AFTERWARDS. REMOVING NEGATIVE TO SEE IF THIS WOULD RESET THE DOOR IN SOME WAY ONLY SERVED TO CANCEL ALL ELECTRONIC COMMANDS TO THE DOOR TO OPEN OR CLOSE USELESS FROM ANY BUTTON (FOB, OVERHEAD CONTROL CONSOLE BUTTON, MANUAL DOOR HANDLE OPENING OR OPEN/CLOSE BUTTONS). PASSENGER (RIGHT) SLIDING DOOR UNAFFECTED. *TR
(REAR POWER SLIDING DOORS: NO SAFETY SENSORS TO STOP THE DOOR ) I PULLED THE HANDLE OF THE REAR POWER SLIDING DOOR TO OPEN TO LET MY DOG OUT. SHE PUT HER HEAD INTO THE OPENING BETWEEN THE TRACTOR CABLE THAT GLIDES THE DOOR BACK AND THE REAR PORTION OF THE DOOR. THE POWER DOOR CONTINUED TO SLIDE BACK AND INWARD. MY REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO STOP THE DOOR INCLUDED ME PULLING AGAINST IT WITH ALL MY STRENGTH THE DOOR JUST KEPT SLIDING EITHER BACK OR FORWARD. MY DOG TRIED TO SQUEEZE HERSELF OUT AND ONLY MANAGED TO GET HALF HER BODY OUT. SHE LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS CUT IN HALF. MY NEIGHBORS CAME OVER AND HELD THE DOOR TO STOP IT FROM MOVING. THE SPACE BETWEEN THE BODY OF THE VAN AND THE SLIDING DOOR WAS SO TIGHT (3 TO 4 INCHES), I COULD NOT PUSH OR PULL MY DOG OUT. I THOUGHT SHE WAS BEING CRUSHED TO DEATH. I WENT TO DISENGAGE THE BATTERY TO MAKE SURE THE DOOR WOULD NOT MOVE AND MY DOG WAS ABLE TO WRIGGLE HER ENTIRE BODY OUT OF THAT TINY OPENING. THIS LASTED FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND WAS TERRIFYING. MY DOG SUFFERED ONLY BRUISED RIBS. I HAD A CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY BEFORE THIS AND THE DOOR SENSORS STOPPED AT THE SLIGHTEST INTERFERENCE. THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE SAFETY HAZARD. *TR
I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT THE MICHELIN PRIMACY MXV4 TIRES. THE TIRES HAVE A 60,000 MILE WARRANTY AND I HAVE ONLY GOTTEN 20,200 MILES OUT OF THEM. THE TREAD WEAR IS A 5/6 GAUGE. I WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE THREE NEW TIRES VERY SOON, BEFORE THE TIRES START BALDING, IN ORDER TO CORRECT THERE FAILURE. I STARTED OUT WITH FOUR OF THEM, BUT NOW I AM DOWN TO THREE. ONE OF THEM HAD A SCREW FOUND IN IT, SO I REPLACED IT WITH A NEW FIRESTONE TIRE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 TOYOTA SIENNA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, AN UNKNOWN OBJECT FRACTURED THE WINDSHIELD AND GLASS SHATTERED ALL OVER THE CONTACT. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THERE WAS A TWO FEET WIDE CRACK ON THE OUTSIDE LAYER OF THE WIND SHIELD, HOWEVER THE INSIDE LAYER OF THE GLASS WAS SHATTERED. THE POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
WHEN BRAKING AT NORMAL SPEEDS ON THE ROAD OR THE FREEWAY, THE CAR VIBRATES/SHAKES. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP THE ROTORS ARE WARPED. AT 12,000 MILES, THIS SEEMS TO BE AN UNDER-ENGINEERED PART ON THIS HEAVY VAN, WHICH APPEARS TO BE UNCORRECTED ON THE NEWER MODEL (2013 AND 2014) AS WELL. THE REPAIRS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE ONLY OTHER OPTION IS TO INSTALL AFTERMARKET HEAVY-DUTY ROTORS, AN EXPENSE THAT THE CONSUMER SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY. *TR
2012 TOYOTA SIENNA HAD TWO FRONT-WHEEL BLOWOUTS IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR. TIRES HAD LESS THAN 25,000 MILES IN BOTH INSTANCES. *TR
WE FIRST ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM IN WHICH THE AUTOMATIC SLIDING DOOR WOULD NOT FUNCTION TO OPEN OR CLOSE AUTOMATICALLY BUT IT STILL WORKED MANUALLY. ABOUT A WEEK LATER THE REAR LATCH OF THE PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR BECAME STUCK IN THE LOCK POSITION THUS NOT ALLOWING THE DOOR TO FULLY CLOSE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC WHO GREASED THE LATCH AND ALLOWED IT TO FUNCTION PROPERLY HOWEVER THE DOOR WOULD STILL ONLY OPEN AUTOMATICALLY BUT WOULD OPEN OR CLOSE MANUALLY JUST FINE. DURING THIS TIME THERE WERE 3 INSTANCES WHEN THE DOOR WOULD AUTOMATICALLY OPEN WITHOUT HUMAN INTERVENTION BUT WHILE WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WITH CHILDREN IN THE REAR SEATS. TOYOTA AGREES THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE BUT WILL ONLY SPLIT THE $1,200 BILL WITH US. BASED ON THE FACT THEY ARE WILLING TO HELP PAY FOR THE REPAIR OUT OF WARRANTY PROVES THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE YET FAIL TO ISSUE A RECALL AND PUT ARE WILLING TO RISK LIVES ESPECIALLY CHILDREN'S LIVES TO SAVE FACE. *JS

THE MORE SHE ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE, THE SPEEDOMETER CONTINUED TO DECREASE. SHE WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE SHOULDER. HER HUSBAND ATTEMPTED TO RE-START THE VEHICLE, BUT NOT HAPPENED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. HOWEVER, A COMPUTER DIAGNOSTIC DID NOT REVEAL A PROBLEM. SEVERAL DAYS LATER, THE VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN. SHE MANAGED TO RE-START THE VEHICLE, AND DROVE IT TO THE DEALER. AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE FOR SEVERAL DAYS, THE DEALER WAS STILL UNABLE TO FIND A PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE CONSUMER. HOWEVER, IT STALLED AGAIN, AND IT WOULDN'T RE-START. THE VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN, FOR THE 4TH TIME.*JB THE CONSUMER STATED THE TECHNICIANS QUICKLY FOUND THE PROBLEM, WHICH WAS A FAULTY WIRE LEADING TO THE FUEL PUMP. UPDATED 05/20/14
STEERING WHEEL COLUMN (OR PART OF THE STEERING WHEEL IS MAKING A CLICKING SOUND WHEN TURNING WHEELS IN LOW SPEEDS OR IN REVERSE. THE CLICKING SOUND IS GETTING LOUDER AND THE WHEELS APPEAR TO "SKIP" OR "JERK SLIGHTLY" WHEN TURNED. I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS A TYPICAL OR INDIVIDUAL ISSUE, BUT A LOT OF TOYOTA SIENNA OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE.

THERE WAS A SUDDEN AND RAPID INCREASE IN ACCELERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN OFF THE ROADWAY WHERE THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000. THE ENGINE WAS OFF. I OPENED THE REAR HATCH, WHILE I WAS UNDER THE HATCH PLACING ITEMS IN THE BACK OF THE CAR MY HUSBAND NOT REALIZING I HAD ALREADY OPENED IT AND WAS UNDER IT PUSHED THE BUTTON TO OPEN THE HATCH BUT SINCE IT WAS ALREADY OPEN IT STARTED TO CLOSE ON ME. UPON MEETING RESISTANCE FROM ME (SUBSTANTIAL I MIGHT ADD) IT DID NOT STOP CLOSING AND I HAD TO JUMP INTO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE TO PREVENT BEING SERIOUSLY INJURED. EITHER THERE IS NO SENSOR TO SENSE AN OBSTRUCTION IN THE DOOR OR THE SENSOR IS FAULTY. WE WILL NOTIFY THE DEALER OF THIS BUT THIS IS A SENSOR THAT SHOULD NOT FAIL, THIS DOOR IS BIG ENOUGH TO SERIOUSLY INJURE SOMEONE OR KILL A CHILD. I WAS NOT INJURED SERIOUSLY BUT MY NECK AND SHOULDER ARE SORE AT THIS POINT FROM PUSHING BACK ON THE DOOR AND TIME WILL TELL IF IT IS MORE THAN A MINOR STRAIN. *TR

TAKATA RECALL. MY RECALL IS LISTED AS: "JAN 09,2017 MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBERG1P NHTSA RECALL NUMBER17V006 RECALL STATUSRECALL INCOMPLETE, REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE". IT HAS BEEN 9 MONTHS NOW AND I'M DRIVING WITH MY KIDS IN THIS VEHICLE. I NEED TO GET THIS RECALL WORK DONE WITH NO FURTHER DELAY.
IN NOV 2013, THE BATTERY LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD TURNED ON. WITHIN A FEW MINUTES OF THAT HAPPENING, THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING AND WOULD NOT MOVE AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, WHERE THE DEALER DISCOVERED THAT THE CAR?S ALTERNATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN JAN 2014, THE BATTERY LIGHT TURNED ON AGAIN, SO I DROVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER, WHERE THEY CLAIMED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS ONCE AGAIN WITH THE ALTERNATOR. THEY REPLACED THE SIENNA?S ALTERNATOR AGAIN. IN MAR 2014, THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON YET AGAIN. I BROUGHT IT INTO THE DEALER FOR A THIRD TIME, BUT THIS TIME THE DEALER CLAIMED TO BE UNABLE TO FIND ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR?S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. HE RETURNED IT TO ME WITH ADVICE TO BRING IT BACK IN IF THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. AFTER THE THIRD DEALER VISIT FOR THE BATTERY LIGHT ISSUE, WE STILL SAW THAT THE BATTERY LIGHT WOULD LIGHT UP ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE DEALER MADE IT CLEAR THAT I SHOULD ONLY BRING IN THE CAR IF THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS ON SO THAT THEY COULD DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, THE INTERMITTENT TIMES THAT IT WAS ON WOULD NOT LINE UP WELL WITH THE DEALER?S REPAIR SHOP?S SCHEDULE. I HAVE RECORDED VIDEO EVIDENCE THAT THE CAR EXHIBITS THE BATTERY LIGHT ISSUE OUTSIDE OF DEALER HOURS AND SENT IT BACK TO TOYOTA. I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT TOYOTA THROUGH BOTH THE DEALER AND DIRECTLY. I HAVE EVEN FILED A CLAIM THROUGH CALIFORNIA'S LEMON LAW. TOYOTA DENIED MY CLAIM, SAYING THAT THEY CONFORMED MY VEHICLE TO THE TERMS OF THE WARRANTY WITHIN A REASONABLE NUMBER OF OPPORTUNITIES. DESPITE THIS, THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. IT HAS BEEN OVER HALF A YEAR SINCE THE PROBLEM STARTED, AND I STILL DO NOT KNOW IF MY VEHICLE IS SAFE TO DRIVE IN. I FEAR THAT ONE DAY IT MAY STALL AGAIN WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD AND PUT MY LOVED ONES AND MYSELF IN DANGER. TOYOTA'S HANDLING OF THE SITUATION HAS BEEN SLOW AND PUTS MY FAMILY'S SAFETY IN DANGER. *TR

THERE WAS NO BRAKING POWER AND AS THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO GUIDE THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROADWAY, HE CRASHED INTO A CURB. THE HORN THEN BEGAN TO SOUND AS SMOKE FILLED THE INTERIOR CABIN. THE SIX OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE BECAME TRAPPED INSIDE AND WERE ABLE TO CLIMB OUT OF A PARTIALLY OPENED WINDOW AS THE VEHICLE BECAME ENGULFED IN FLAMES WITHIN MINUTES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED, THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE OR THE FIRE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 23,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS HOWEVER, BECAUSE AN INJURY OCCURRED THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD CONTACT HER ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 23,535.

THE CONTACT MANEUVERED OFF THE EXIT RAMP AND MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THERE WERE SMALL FRAGMENTS OF GLASS THAT ENTERED THE VEHICLE UPON ACCESSING THE SUN ROOF. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO POOR VEHICLE DASH BOARD ILLUMINATIONS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN DRIVING DURING THE DAY TIME, WITH THE DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHTS ON, THE DASH DID NOT ILLUMINATE. THE ONLY ILLUMINATION WAS FROM THE HEADLIGHTS AND EVEN THEN, IT WASN'T THAT WELL LIT. THE DASH IS GREY IN COLOR, SO IT BLENDED IN WELL ON A CLOUDY DAY.
2013 TOYOTA SIENNA MINIVAN THE POWER DOORS NO LONGER CLOSE AND OPEN PROPERLY, THEY ESSENTIALLY STICK, AND WE HAVE TO MANUALLY GET OUT, AND SLAM IT SHUT WITH GREAT FORCE. THE CAR DOOR OPENED ONCE WHILE I WAS DRIVING. MY CHILD ON THAT SIDE WAS WEARING A SEATBELT, I PULLED OVER, AND HAD TO GET OUT TO SHUT THE DOOR WITH GREAT FORCE. FOR A LONG PERIOD, TOYOTA DIDN'T HAVE A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN CALLING THE DEALERSHIP REGULARLY TO SEE IF THE "FIX" HAD ARRIVED. FINALLY, IN AUGUST I WAS TOLD THAT IT HAD, AND THAT THE SOONEST THEY COULD FIX MY CAR WAS DECEMBER 27!!! I HAVE TOLD THEM THAT I PAID FOR A FEATURE, TO HAVE POWER DOORS WHICH BOTH WORKED AND DIDN'T POSE A SAFETY LIABILITY. I HAVE ASKED FOR EITHER A LOANER CAR, OR COMPENSATION. THEIR RESPONSE HAS BEEN THAT THEY APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, BUT THAT THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO GIVE ME ANOTHER CAR, OR COMPENSATE ME. I HAVE FOUR CHILDREN, ONE OF WHOM IS SPECIAL NEEDS.IN ORDER TO ENSURE SAFETY, I HAVE HAD TO DISABLE THE POWER FEATURE. I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH THE POWER FEATURE BECAUSE IT'S SOMETHING THAT WE RELY ON. I FEEL THAT I SPENT MONEY ON SOMETHING THAT IS DEFECTIVE, AND A SAFETY LIABILITY, AND WE ARE BEING PENALIZED, AS OPPOSED TO THE COMPANY ASSURING OUR SAFETY AND SATISFACTION.
TOYOTA SIENNA MINI VAN SPONTANEOUS ACCELERATION OUR MINIVAN SPONTANEOUSLY ACCELERATED. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW TOYOTA HAS BEEN HAVING THIS ISSUE WITH OLDER MODELS, BUT OURS IS A 2012 TOYOTA SIENNA XLE LIMITED ALL WHEEL DRIVE MINI VAN. I PUT ON THE BRAKE TO LET MY WIFE OUT WHEN THE VAN TOOK OFF AS IF I HAD THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR, YET MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE. WE KEPT MOVING, SO I PUSHED THE STOP/IGNITION BUTTON AND THE VAN WOULD NOT STOP. I THEN PUT ON THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND THE VAN WAS STILL MOVING, I WATCHED THE RPM'S KEEP GOING UP ON THE TACHOMETER. I THEN PUSHED THE OFF/IGNITION BUTTON AGAIN, STILL WOULD NOT STOP, MY NEXT STEP WAS TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL, BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO BLOW THE ENGINE, SO I PUSHED THE OFF/IGNITION BUTTON AGAIN AND THE ENGINE FINALLY STOPPED. WE WERE FREAKED OUT WE HAD ONLY READ ABOUT THIS NOT THINKING IT WOULD EVER HAPPEN TO US. NOW THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE HAVING WIFE DRIVE THE VAN ANYMORE. I CALLED TOYOTA OF NASHUA, THEY BASICALLY SAID WE CAN INSPECT IT AND CALL TOYOTA OF CALIFORNIA. I CALLED TOYOTA OF CA AND THEY SEEMED NICE AND TALKED ABOUT GIVING US A LOANER CAR. BOTH TOYOTA OF NASHUA, NH AND TOYOTA OF CALIFORNIA BOTH INSPECTED THE VAN AND SAID ?THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VAN?. THEY SAID YOU CAN COME AND PICK IT UP. THERE ARE MANY YOUTUBE VIDEO SHOWING THIS PROBLEM AND EVEN RE-ENACTING THE SITUATION, YET TOYOTA CLAIMS USER ERROR. I HAVE GROWN UP WORKING ON CARS FOR ABOUT 35 YEARS, I FIXED AND DRIVEN CARS HARD. I'VE DONE THINGS WITH CARS THAT MOST PEOPLE ONLY SEE IN THE MOVIES. I CAN PROMISE YOU IT WAS NOT USER ERROR AND IT WAS NOT THE FLOOR MATS FACT!!! BEWARE TOYOTA & LEXUS OWNERS. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON AN EXPRESSWAY WITH STEEP GRADES, WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET, THE SPEED ON STEEP DOWNGRADES WOULD INCREASE BY UP TO 5 MPH ABOVE THE SPEED SET ON THE CRUISE CONTROL. OWNER FEELS THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY ISSUE, AND BELIEVES THEY WERE SOLD A LEMON CAR. *TR
DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE POWER SLIDING DOOR OCCASIONALLY (I.E. NOT ALL THE TIME) MAKES AN ABNORMAL POP NOISE WHEN INITIALLY OPENING WITH THE OUTSIDE HANDLE OR WITH THE INSIDE HANDLE ON THE SLIDING DOOR. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN THE DOOR IS OPENED WITH OTHER METHOD (E.G. REMOTE, OVER-HEAD MOUNT CONTROL, BUTTON ON B-PILLAR). IT SEEMS AS IF THE DOOR DOESN'T UNLATCH BEFORE THE MOTOR START PULLING THE DOOR.
