I brought my truck into Miller Toyota of Anaheim due to a violent shuddering and acceleration at about 40 to 50 mph. This could have caused driver to lose control and injure themselves, passengers, and other drivers on the road. Dealership diagnosed the problem as a bad torque converter in the transmission and said it would cost about $3200.00 to repair. Couldn't afford that so I took vehicle to an independent repair shop and they notified me that there was a Toyota Service Bulletin that addressed this concern and that they would have to do a complete reprogramming update of Transmission Control Module. I haven't had any issues since this was done but the dealership should have been aware of this problem which could be potentially fatal. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms prior to this failure or during the failure.
I have three signifcant issues with my Tacoma: 1. A few months after purchasing my Tacoma in 2016 Toyota (no accidents to date & 95% highway driving) and one outside alignment shop had never been able to get the truck aligned properly so it would never keep its alignment more than 3-4 months; repeated visits to Toyota maintence for alignment over the years became as routine as an oil change, sometimes more frequently; the unaligned suspension constantly was causing unsafe handling and unintentional swerving. 2. Toyota missed, and maybe purposefully, identifying major engine, transfer case, and transmission leaks during regular and routine serivces (always serviced at Toyota dealerships) until my mileage exceeded 60,000 miles. Then when I asked the dealership to recheck a recent transfer case refresh because I saw leaks, I needed and got over $3,000 in repairs e.g. power steering pump, front and rear seals, differential gasket-- it was terrible. Toyota did give a good will reimbursment of $1,400. 3. Now ~6 months later and still under 80,000 miles, I just spent $4,100 for repairs on more engine leaks; Toyota will not tell me if my vehicle is safe to drive, tells me the truck is ourside its warranty period (as it was last year), and refuses any goodwill adjustment. Is this 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD a lemon?
2016 Toyota Tacoma – severe clear coat and paint failure on the hood and roof. The clear coat began peeling in 2022 and has progressively worsened. Large sections of the hood and roof show complete delamination, oxidation, and exposed basecoat. This is a widely reported defect for 2015–2017 Tacomas across multiple paint colors. Toyota Customer Care confirmed today that my VIN is not included in Customer Support Program 23TE08 and that no goodwill repair would be authorized, even though the defect is identical to the vehicles Toyota acknowledges as affected. This appears to be a manufacturing defect that compromises durability and corrosion resistance. Photos and documentation are available upon request.
The driver's side seat heating element failed due to a defective seat heater amp. When independently researching the failure, which could have simply been an unconnected wire, I discovered the amp and wiring had an electrical seizure and the wiring had burned the amp. The heating amp sits underneath the seat and with the right conditions could cause the seat to catch fire. The issue has been reported to Toyota corporate.
REAR POWER WINDOW RATTLES WHEN IN DOWN POSITION. MOST NOTABLE WHEN CLOSING DOOR, SOUNDS LIKE SOME HAS COME LOOSE!
On 11-27-2021 I lost all power while on a highway. I would lose power even with my foot all the way down the rpm would not rise at all. The power would come back adruptly and throw me back into my seat. The trac off and check engine light came on. My truck seemed like it was gonna stall and had a really low and rough idle. It was only about 0-500 rpm at idle and truck was shaking bad because of the engine. After getting towed home I tested the battery and alternator and those were fine. I believe it is the crankshaft position sensor. I have read that this has happened to man other people with the same truck as mine. There was a recall for the cps but for some reason my truck was not included.
The contact owns a 2016 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated while driving at 60 MPH, the contact noticed their front driver seat warmer stop operating and started smelling an electrical burning. The contact continued to drive to their residence where at that time the contact inspected the vehicle and noticed the seat heater amp connection wiring was burned out. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 63,404.
Driver side Heated seat connector has evidence of burning. Seat not working.
During routine maintenance at a independent shop, the driver side power steering rack boot was found to be leaking. I was informed by a former Lexus master technician that this was a problem with some of the similar Lexus models previously. The vehicle currently had 47,xxx miles which seems very low for a power steering failure. I can provide images of the leak as needed and the vehicle has not been repaired as of this filing.
After starting the truck and idling for any length of time, I place my foot on the brake and shift into Reverse or Drive. The truck almost leaps if I don't keep my foot on the brake. There is a noticeable pause many times, so it seems to be electronically controlled transmission. I have read that dealerships can Flash the ECU module and it will resolve it, but I do not have any "unresolved recalls" at this time.
Vehicle has been jerking itself while driving at both low speeds and high speeds. Had taken it to the dealership Sept.2020 in order to get the ECU/PCM reflashed/updated to resolve issue; issue persists. Now, at highway speeds, 80% of the time it will be jerking itself, as off being momentarily shut off and on. Caused my rear end to fish tail on highway.
The contact owns a 2016 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that while attempting to activate the seat warmer, he noticed that the seat warmer was inoperable. The contact researched and read that the module underneath the seat could potentially burn causing the seat warmer not to operate as designed. The contact stated that it was a common failure. The contact stated that he then looked at the module in his vehicle and saw that it was melted. The contact had not noticed any smoke or a burning odor. The dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 45,000.
I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE AND REALIZED WHEN I WAS SOLD THE VEHICLE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF INDICATOR WAS ON BUT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A QUICK CONNECTION ERROR. THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT IS VERY DIM AND DOES NOT ILLUMINATE WELL. I CONTACTED CROWN DODGE OF FAYETTEVILLE AND THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING. THIS WAS A LITTLE OVER A MONTH AFTER BECAUSE LIFE HAPPENS AND I WORK WITH THE MILITARY. I DON'T HAVE A REGULAR SCHEDULE. I DO HAVE A WARRANTY BUT I'M NOT USING MY WARRANTY TO COVER SOMETHING THEY SHOULD FIX. WHEN I CALLED TO TALK TO A SALES MANAGER NO ONE WOULD ANSWER IT RANG AND RANG. THE COMPUTER ON THE VEHICLE WILL SHOW THE AIR BAG SENSOR AT LEAST.
IN THE MIDDLE OF FEB 2021 THE DRIVER'S SIDE (FACTORY) SEAT HEATER STOPPED HEATING. THE SEAT HEATER BUTTON STILL OPERATED NORMALLY WITH REGARD TO LIGHTS, ETC. I REMOVED THE SEAT AND DISCOVERED THAT THE CONNECTOR BETWEEN THE SEAT HEATER WIRING HARNESS AND THE SEAT HEATER AMPLIFIER HAD ELECTRICALLY ARCED (RED WIRE) AND MELTED THE CONNECTOR TOGETHER. (NOTE: THE PASSENGER SIDE HEATER IS UNAFFECTED. ALSO NOTE: THE FUSE FOR THIS CIRCUIT DID NOT BURN UP AS IT SHOULD HAVE WHEN THE CURRENT SURGED CAUSING THE MELTED CONNECTOR.) UPON DOING RESEARCH THIS IS APPARENTLY NOT AN UNHEARD OF PROBLEM ON THIS YEAR/MODEL TACOMA. I HAVE UPLOADED PHOTOS. THERE ARE THREE ISSUES HERE: 1) A CLEAR DESIGN FLAW, 2) THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, IT COULD HAVE CAUSED A FIRE, AND 3) IT LIKELY AFFECTS THE ENTIRE FLEET OF TACOMAS IN THIS YEAR RANGE. MY BELIEF IS THAT THIS RISES TO THE LEVEL OF A RECALL AND HAVE TALKED TO BOTH THE DEALER AND CORPORATE ABOUT IT. TOYOTA HAS AGREED TO PAY HALF THE COST OF REPAIRS, AND I HAVE AGREED TO THIS, (ALTHOUGH THEY ALSO CLAIM TO HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM BEFORE). TOYOTA CASE #: 2103011304
VEHICLE HESITATES FROM PARK TO DRIVE AND SLOWING TO TURN OR GOING UPHILL EVEN ON SPEEDS UP TO 50MPH
3RD GENERATION (2016+) TOYOTA TACOMA'S HAVE A KNOWN TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN REGARDING LEAKING OF THE 3RD BRAKE LIGHT. DURING RAINFALL AND DRIVING THROUGH A CARWASH, WATER WILL LEAK INTO THE DRIVERS COMPARTMENT RESULTING IN WATER DAMAGE AND POTENTIAL FOR MOLD AND MILDEW. A QUICK INTERNET SEARCH WILL RESULT IN THOUSANDS OF OWNERS REPORTING THIS ISSUE. TOYOTA REFUSES TO COVER THIS ISSUE IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF THEIR WARRANTY PERIOD, WHICH CAN RESULT IN $1000+ LABOR BILL TO REPLACE A FAULTY GASKET. SEEING AS THIS IS A POTENTIAL HEALTH RISK TO OWNERS, THIS SHOULD BE A MANDATORY RECALL TO REPLACE FOR OWNERS OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD.
WHEN IT RAINS WATER COMES INSIDE THE CABIN AROUND BRAKE LIGHT AND SOAKS THE SEATS. I NOTICED THIS WHEN THE TRUCK IS STATIONARY. I THINK IT'S COMING AROUND THE BRAKE LIGHTS GASKET THE WHOLE BACK IF WET ON THE DRIVER SIDE LOOKS LIKE WATER IS COMING IN FROM THE BRAKE LIGHT AT THE TOP OF THE HEADLINER. I'VE ALSO SEEN OTHER VIEWS OR REPORTS ON THIS INCIDENT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START-UP IMMEDIATELY WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE. SEVERAL ATTEMPTS WERE NEEDED FOR THE VEHICLE TO START-UP. THE FAILURE RECURRED FIVE TIMES WITHIN THREE DAYS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC NOR A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
WAS TOLD BY THE MECHANIC THAT THERE WAS A BULLETIN TO REPLACE IF AN ISSUE BEFORE THE 3 YEARS 36,000 MILES. HAVE HAD THE TRUCK FOR 4.5 YEARS AND NOW THE BSM LEFT SIDE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. ONLY HAVE 26,567 MILES ON THE TRUCK! IF THEY HAD AN ISSUE, WHY AREN'T THEY REPLACING THEM IF THE ISSUES HAPPEN WITHIN THE 36,000.
THE TRAC OFF AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS COME ON PERIODICALLY. I HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AND TAKE THE GAS CAP OFF AND PUT IT BACK ON AND RECONNECT THE BATTERY WHEN IT HAPPENS. ITS A PAIN IN THE BUTT. I THOUGHT I SAW A RECALL FOR THE GAS CAP SEAL TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM, BUT THE DEALERSHIP SAID NOPE.
THE CAB MOUNTED THIRD BRAKE LIGHT FIXTURE IS ALLOWING A LARGE AMOUNT OF WATER TO LEAK INTO THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. THE SEATS AND CARPET ARE GETTING SOAKED EVERY TIME THERE IS HEAVY RAIN. EVENTUALLY THE LIGHT WILL FAIL AND MOLD AND MILDEW WILL RESULT. THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR. TOYOTA DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT I THINK IS A DEFECTIVE GASKET IN THIS FIXTURE. I HAVE REPORTED THE PROBLEM TO TOYOTA.
I own a second hand Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4 v6 2016. Is leaking water by the plastic welding on each side of the roof. The water runs along both sides of the inner roof and then drops by the front lateral bars, between metal and the plastic cover, until reach the carpet.
AIR CONDITIONER IS NOT WORKING WELL. TAKE TOO LONG TO GETS COLD AND IT'S SOUNDS LIKE A LEAKING WHEN THE VEHICLE IS TURN OFF. I TOOK IT TO REPAIR AND THE EVAPORATOR IS NOT WORKING. I HAVE TO BUY THE OEM ITEM: EVAPORATOR AND SENSOR ASM; PART NO: 88511-04020.
INTERIOR LEAKING WHEN IT RAINS OR WHENEVER VEHICLE GETS WET. A HEALTH HAZARD, SAFETY CONCERN, AND POTENTIAL RISK TO PASSENGERS AS WELL. CAUSE OF PROBLEM IS DEFECTIVE 3RD BRAKE LIGHT SEAL. OF COURSE TOYOTA MAKE IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO EASILY REPLACE THE LIGHT OR SEAL AS YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE INTERIOR CEILING TO GET TO BOLTS. SAD I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE NEW AND IT LEAKS WATER BUT SINCE WARRANTY JUST ENDED, THEY WILL NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT FIXING THIS ISSUE. IF A LAWSUIT RESULTS ABOUT OF THIS COUNT ME IN, HOPEFULLY A RECALL TAKES PLACE SOON BECAUSE DUCT TAPE CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH PLUS WHO WANTS TO DRIVE AROUND WITH DUCT TAPE ON THE 3RD BRAKE LIGHT.
TOYOTA PUSHED AN OTA (OVER-THE-AIR) THAT CAUSED FIRMWARE AND COMPLETELY DISABLES THE ONBOARD NAVIGATION. PRESENTLY, I NOW HAVE 'DRIVER EASY SPEAK' OUT OF THE BLUE AND THAT THE 'SOFTWARE IS INCOMPATIBLE' ON MY HEAD UNIT'S DISPLAY. THIS UPLOAD HAS DISABLED VARIOUS TOYOTA MODELS ACROSS THE BOARD. CONTACT WITH VARIOUS TOYOTA DEALERS HAS BEEN A WASTE OF TIME. A LETTER SENT TO TOYOTA CORPORATE HAS BEEN FRUITLESS. THE DEALER WANTS TO REPLACE THE NAVIGATION UNIT FOR $1000!
AFTER DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION GETS STUCK IN GEAR AND REQUIRES MUCH MORE FORCE THAN USUAL TO PUT THE GEARBOX INTO NEUTRAL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS WERE INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOYOTA OF LOGAN (297 E MAIN ST, LOGAN, OH 43138), TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC RETRIEVED DTC CODES: C1380 AND C1422. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE STOP LIGHT RELAY MALFUNCTIONED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE DEALER WAS UNAWARE OF HOW TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. ADDITIONALLY, THE SUBFRAME OF THE VEHICLE WAS DUE TO BE INSPECTED AND TREATED WITH AN ANTI-CORROSION INHIBITER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,495.
2016 TOYOTA TACOMA PURCHASED FROM STOKES BROWN TOYOTA NEW. THE SEATBELT AIRBAG LIGHT FOR PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SEAT BLINKS CONTINUALLY EVEN WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED AND OFF. *TR
THE REAR CARGO/3RD BRAKE LIGHT ON THE TOP OF THE CAB SEAL IS BROKEN AND WATER LEAKS IN TO THE REAR CAB AND SATIN IN THE HEADLINER. I HAVE LOOKED UP THIS PROBLEM AND THERE SEEMS TO BE MANY COMPLAINTS. I CALLED TOYOTA HEADQUARTERS AFTER GETTING MY TRUCK SERVICED FOR A RECALL ITEM AND THE DEALER SAID THEY COULD NOT HELP EVEN KNOWING THAT THERE IS A TSB 0055-18. *TR
OFF-ROADING, RESTARTED VEHICLE AFTER A STOP. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL AS TRAC OFF ILLUMINATED. TRIED TO DRIVE FORWARD AND TRUCK STALLED AND MESSAGE SAID HIGH TRANSMISSION TEMP. GOGGLED ISSUE TO DISCOVER A RECALL FOR CRANK POSITION SENSOR FAILURE. LOOKED UP MY VIN AND I DON'T HAVE THAT RECALL ALTHOUGH I HAVE THE STATED YEAR AND MODEL. HAD THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON ROAD IT COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT.
KNOCKING NOISE FROM VAC PUMP. HAD THE TECH NOT NOTICED THIS WHEN WE HAD THE TRUCK SERVICED FOR ANOTHER REASON, THE VAC PUMP COULD HAVE FAILED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, CAUSING A POTENTIAL FATAL ACCIDENT. TOYOTA WAS AWARE OF THE POTENTIAL VAC PUMP FAILURE WHY DID THEY NOT ISSUE A RECALL ON THEIR OWN.
DURING HEAVY RAINFALL, BACK DRIVER SIDE GETS WET. I NOTICED THIS BACK IN MARCH AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP. THEY ASKED ME TO CALL BACK IN A WEEK BECAUSE THEY WERE CLOSING DUE TO COVID. I'VE HAD MEDICAL ISSUES SINCE THEN AND HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO CONTACT THEM. BUT I'LL TRY TO TOMORROW. NOW THE WATER FROM THE RAINS ARE GETTING TO THE MIDDLE BETWEEN THE TWO SEATS. SMELLS BAD. I FEEL THAT THE SEAT FOAMS ARE BAD. AND IT'S GROWING MILDEW ON THE BOTTOM LEFT SIDE (ON THE CARPET) UNDER THE DRIVER SIDE BACK SEAT. THE TOP OF THE INSIDE OF THE ROOF ON THE DRIVER SIDE IS ONLY SHOWING WATER THAT HIGH. THE SEAM ON TOP OF THE TRUCK SEEMS SECURE SO I FEEL LIKE IT'S COMING THROUGH THE 3RD BRAKE LIGHT (THE ONE THAT IS ABOVE THE WINDOW). I KNOW IT'S GETTING WET WHEN THE TRUCK IS STILL. PRETTY SURE IT IS, AS WELL, WHEN THE TRUCK IS MOVING. ALSO, I MENTIONED THAT I FIRST NOTICED THE ISSUE BACK IN MARCH. BUT THE PICS THAT I SUBMITTED ARE FROM THE RAIN THAT WE JUST GOT TODAY.
I NOTICED WHEN MY DRIVER SEAT HEATER WAS IN THE "ON" POSITION, THE SEAT WAS NOT HEATING UP. ELECTRICAL WIRING/CONNECTOR FOR THE HEATED SEAT MODULE LOCATED UNDER THE DRIVER SEAT OVERHEATED OR ARCED CAUSING THE CONNECTOR (S) TO MELT POSING A SAFETY/FIRE HAZARD AND RENDERING THE HEATED SEAT INOPERABLE. TSB FROM TOYOTA COVERS THIS UP TO 3YEARS/36,000 MILES. MILEAGE AT TIME OF FAILURE: 61,000 MILES.
MY TRUCK IS LEAKING AT THE CENTER BRAKE LIGHT INTO MY BACK SEAT.
TRANSMISSION SLIPS WHEN SHIFTED FROM PARK TO DRIVE OR REVERSE TO DRIVE. HAS A 1-3 SECOND DELAY. IN ADDITION THIS SLIP MOTION CREATED A LOUD GEAR CRANKING NOISE AS I TRIED TO ACCELERATE ON A U-TURN. THE TRUCK DID NOT MOVE OR SHIFT DESPITE HEARING THE ENGINE ACCELERATE ACCOMPANIED BY THE METALLIC GEAR-LIKE GRIND SOUND. SOUND VERY SIMILAR TO A STICK CAR WHEN YOU TRY TO ENGAGE A SHIFT WITHOUT THE CLUTCH (BUT MY TRUCK IS 2016 AUTOMATIC TRD-SPORT). LASTLY, WHEN TAKING SPEED BUMPS OR HARD SHIFTING MOTION (UP-DOWN) YOU CAN HEAR THE SUSPENSIONS MAKE A LOUD CLANK NOISE AS THE TRUCK SHIFTS IN THE SPEED BUMP MOTION.
ELECTRICAL WIRING/CONNECTOR FOR THE HEATED SEAT MODULE LOCATED UNDER THE DRIVER SEAT OVERHEATED OR ARCED CAUSING THE CONNECTOR (S) TO MELT POSING A SAFETY HAZARD AND RENDERING THE HEATED SEAT INOPERABLE.
WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, TURNED ON, AND IN MOTION, THE AMP FOR THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT SEAT HEATER PRETTY MUCH MELTED. I SMELT AN ELECTRICAL BURNING SMELL, AND WAS ABLE TO LOCATE THE SOURCE.
AFTER A COMMUTE DRIVE I PARKED MY VEHICLE IN THE GARAGE. AN HOUR LATER, WENT BACK IN THE GARAGE AND SMELLED A STRONG AMOUNT OF FUEL LEAK. AFTER VERIFICATION I FOUND THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL LINES WERE LEAKING RIGHT ABOVE THE DRIVER SIDE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. DROVE TO THE NEAREST TOYOTA DEALER AND HAD NEW LINES PUT IN. *TR

I LEFT MY CAR RUNNING ENGINE AND STAR SMELLING GASOLINE.
THE BLUETOOTH ON THE IPHONE 11 PRO MAX AND THE TACOMA ARE NOT COMMUNICATING CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE, BECAUSE I CAN NOT TALK HANDS FREE AS I AM SUPPOSE HAVE THE ABILITY TO DO SO. THE ENTIRE HEADSET WILL TURN OFF AND ON CONSTANTLY , THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS IS TO EITHER TURN OFF THE BLUETOOTH ON THE IPHONE OR REMOVE THE IPHONE FROM THE TACOMA. I HAVE READ ON LINE THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AND EITHER TOYOTA OR APPLE IS DOING ANYTHING TO RESOLVE IT, CAUSING A SAFTEY ISSUE.
DRIVING HOME APPROXIMATELY 20 MILES ON A 2 LANE HIGHWAY (SPEED LIMIT OF 50MPH) AND NOTICED THE OEM/FACTORY INSTALLED DRIVER HEATED SEAT STOPPED WORKING. PROCEEDED TO SMELL BURNT PLASTIC BUT IT WAS LATE AT NIGHT AND I CONVINCED MYSELF THAT NOTHING OUT OF THE NORMAL HAD OCCURRED SINCE MY PASSENGER DID NOT SEEM CONCERNED. THE FOLLOWING DAY I DID A BIT OF RESEARCH AND TESTED THE HEATED SEAT WHICH NO LONGER GOT WARM LIKE THE PASSENGER SIDE. UNDERNEATH THE SEAT IS AN "AMPLIFIER" FOR THE HEATED SEAT WHICH LOOKS TO HAVE SHORTED OUT. BOTH THE AMPLIFIER AND THE MALE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR HAD BURNT/MELTED ON ONE OF THE TERMINALS. THE PLUG LOOKS COMPLETELY RUINED AND I PRESUME THE AMPLIFIED IS NOW BROKEN. ALL OTHER FUSES AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS APPEARED FINE.

BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY HAZARD INVOLVE IN THE PROBABLY DEFECTIVE PART, AND BECAUSE OF MY MEDICAL CONDITION AT THE TIME OF THE TOYOTA SERVICE BULLETING I COULD NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE FOR THE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETING TO DE TOYOTA DEALER UNTIL 11/18/2019 ( AFTER THE APPLICABLE WARRANTY OF 36 MONTHS OR 36,000 MILES - CUSTOMER NUMBER 192461 AT ADRIEL AUTO IN RIO GRANDE PUERTO RICO. THERE THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A TECHNICIAN # 443901. AT THE MOMENT OF THE INSPECTION THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT FOUND THE CONDITION THAT I WAS CONCERN ABOUT. I WAS TOLD THAT THAT KNOCKING SOUND FROM THE VACUUM PUMP WAS NORMAL. THAT I SHOULD NOT TO BE WORRY ABOUT IT. BECAUSE OF MY MEDICAL CONDITION AND TREATMENT. I WAS NOT ABLE TO FOLLOW UP MY COMPLAINT AT TOYOTA DE PUERTO RICO. NOW THAT I AM FEELING A LITTLE BIT BETTER I AM REPORTING THIS TO YOU WITH THE HOPE THAT A SOLUTION BE FOUND. I HAVE NEVER OWN A VEHICLE FROM ANY MANUFACTURER THAT HAD SUCH A KNOCKING SOUND FROM THE VACUUM PUMP. I AM CONCERN ABOUT MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS IF MY BRAKE SYSTEM FAILS AND SOMEONE GETS INJURE OR KILL. IT IS MY PERCEPTION THAT THE KNOCKING NOISE FROM THE VACUUM PUMP IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND THAT TOYOTA CORPORATION MUST REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PART. MY VEHICLE HAVE ONLY 10,000 MILES BECAUSE OF MY ILLNESS AND ALSO BECAUSE I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT. I KNOW I AM A BIT LATE TO REPORT THIS CONDITION ON MY VEHICLE AND THAT THE WARRANTY PERIOD HAVE EXPIRE. BUT THE PROBLEM PERSIST, AS A REMEDY I AM REQUESTING THAT ALL OF THE TOYOTA VEHICLES THAT PRESENT THIS KNOCKING NOISE FROM VACUUM PUMP SHOULD BE RECALL AN REPAIR UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. THANK YOU
TRAVELING ON I95 IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA AT APPROXIMATELY 60MPH WHEN MY SUNROOF SUDDENLY EXPLODED WITH A LOUD BANG. BROKEN PIECES OF GLASS RAINED DOWN IN THE CAB OF MY TRUCK AND ON ME. NO OBJECTS STRUCK MY VEHICLE NOR WAS I TRAVELING UNDER AN OVERPASS AT THE TIME. I HAD OPENED THE SUNSHADE SEVERAL MINUTES PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT BUT THE GLASS ITSELF WAS FULLY CLOSED. THERE WERE NOT ANY CRACKS, CHIPS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND TO THE GLASS BEFORE THE SUNROOF FAILURE OCCURRED. AFTER EXITING THE HIGHWAY I INSPECTED THE GLASS AND FOUND THAT THE EDGES AROUND THE JAGGED HOLE PROTRUDED OUTWARDLY. I AGAIN FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF THE VEHICLE BEING STRUCK BY ANY FOREIGN OBJECTS.THIS EVENT OCCURRED ON NOVEMBER 6TH, 2019 AT APPROXIMATELY 1:00 PM. WEATHER WAS CLEAR AND TEMPERATURES WERE AROUND 60 DEGREES.

POOR INTERIOR LIGHTING. BACK UP CAMERA DOES NOT DIM AT NIGHT MEANING IT BLINDS THE OPERATOR WHEN BACKING AT NIGHT. DASHBOARD LED DISPLAY IS SO POORLY DESIGNED THAT, UNDER MOST DAYTIME LIGHTING CONDITIONS, OPERATOR CANNOT READ THE ODOMETER OR DETERMINE WHAT GEAR VEHICLE IS IN. THIS IS DANGEROUS WHEN VEHICLE IS USED IN THE MANUAL SHIFT MODE AS THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO KNOW IF YOU'RE SHIFTING FROM 2D TO 3D OR 3D TO 4TH. IT ALSO MAKES IT VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DETERMINE MILES TO NEXT INTERSTATE EXIT WHEN YOU CANNOT SEE YOUR ODOMETER. TRYING TO STARE AT THE DISPLAY TAKES EYES OFF THE ROAD FOR FAR TOO LONG. DASHBOARD LIGHTING IS SO POOR THAT OPERATOR CANNOT READ SPEEDOMETER UNDER MANY DAYTIME LIGHTING CONDITIONS, ESPECIALLY WEARING SUNGLASSES.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2016 TOYOTA TACOMA THROUGH A DRIVE-THRU CAR WASH AND WATER STARTED TO DRIP THOUGH THE CEILING. MY TOYOTA TACOMA WAS IN MOTION AS IT WAS ROLLING THROUGH THE CAR WASH CYCLE. AFTER READING MULTIPLE FORUM POSTS, OTHER TOYOTA TACOMA OWNERS DESCRIBED THAT THEIR VEHICLES LEAKED WATER FROM THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT ON TOP OF THE CAB BECAUSE OF A A DAMAGED SEAL OR BEING IMPROPERLY SEALED.

PULLED OVER SHUT TRUCK OFF AND STARTED IT UP NO RAN FINE NOTE: CHECK ENG LIGHT IS NOW ON. BAD GAS DIAGNOSIS. GAS REPLACED HAPPENS 1 MORE TIME. DIAGNOSED WITH BAD FUEL INJECTORS NOT COVERED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY, CAUSE WAS BAD GAS. THE LOSS OF POWER HAPPENED 2 OTHER TIMES.
