MY VEHICLE IS JUST OVER 3 YEARS OLD WITH ABOUT 34000 MILES. I'VE HAD MULTIPLE VEHICLES PRIOR TO MY TACOMA AND HAVE NEVER HAD TO CHANGE THE EVAPORATOR CORE. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT A LOT OF TACOMAS HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE. MY CONCERN IS THAT FROM 2016 AND UP THE TACOMAS STARTED USING THE NEW FREE ON, TYPE 1234YF, WHICH I BELIEVE IS FLAMMABLE, UNLIKE R134. TOYOTA SHOULD REALLY LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE AND IT SHOULD BE A RECALL.
STALLING WHEN DRIVING AT A HIGHER SPEED
BACK SEATS AND FLOOR WERE FOUND TO BE WET. DIDN'T KNOW WHY UNTIL WE WERE DRIVING IN A RAINSTORM AND WATER CAME IN BACK WINDOW AROUND 3RD BREAK LIGHT. TOOK TO LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP TO GET FIXED.
MY TRUCK WAS RUNNING FINE WITH NO PROBLEMS. THEN ONE MORNING I WENT TO CRANK IT AND IT WOULD NOT START. ALL IT DID WAS TURN OVER AND OVER. I HAD TO HAVE A WRECKER COME TO MY HOUSE AND TAKE IT TO MY LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. THEY KEPT MY TRUCK FOR A WEEK AND NEVER DID COME UP WITH A REASON FOR WHAT HAPPENED. THEY REPLACED THE DASH HARNESS AND THE COMPUTER. THEY SAID THAT SOMETHING HAD SHORTED OUT THE HARNESS AND COMPUTER. IT COST ME ALMOST 3000 DOLLARS TO GET MY TRUCK BACK. MY TRUCK ONLY HAD 15,406 MILES ON IT. THEY TRIED TO TELL ME THAT LIGHTNING HAD HIT MY TRUCK. BUT THERE WAS NO PROOF OF IT. THIS ALL SOUNDS LIKE A DEFECT IN THE HARNESS BUT I CANT PROVE IT. HELP PLEASE !
SEAT HEATER MODULE CONNECTOR HAS FAILED AND BURNED/MELTED THE CONNECTOR. APPEARS TO BE A FIRE CONCERN.
There is a known factory defect on a robotic seal around the engine block, in which the robot misses a half inch piece of the engine block, causing oil seepage and leaking of engine oil. The problem is on dozens of Toyota forums and I have also consulted with two different dealerships that have verified this. The 4 cylinder engines in the Tacoma have already been recalled for this issue but they are offering no reimbursement or recall on the 6 cylinder engines. The engine begins leaking oil early in it its life as mine has been. An engine should not fail at 20k 30k or 80k miles due to a factory defect. Toyota should be offering a fix for this issue as it will significantly cut the life of rhe engine. This can cause engine fire and various other safety issues in these trucks if enough engine oil leaks down into a hot engine.
MY WARNING LIGHTS ON MY SIDE MIRRORS THAT TELL ME THERE IS A VEHICLE ON MY LEFT R RIGHT AND WARNING LIGHTS AND ALARM THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO SOUND WHEN SOMETHING IS BEHIND ME WORKS INCONSISTANTLY SOMETIMES THEY WORK AND A MAJORITY OF TIME THEY DO NOT WORK CAUSING SAFETY ISSUES I AM RIDING IN CAR OR BACKING UP
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT HEATER STOPPED WORKING IN MY 2016 TACOMA LIMITED 4X4 DELIVERED IN JANUARY 2016. UPON INSPECTION IT WAS FOUND THAT THE WIRING HARNESS INTO THE SEAT HEATER AMP HAD A MELTED WIRE, DAMAGING BOTH THE AMP AND THE WIRING HARNESS. OTHER INSTANCES OF THIS SAME SEAT HEATER FAILURE WITH MELTED WIRING WERE FOUND ONLINE IN THE TACOMAWORLD.COM FORUMS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER TO BE CONFIRM THE ISSUE AND HAVE HAVE A QUOTE TO FIX IT. MILEAGE IS 33,900

Toyota has a recall for all of the White vehicles EXCEPT for the tacoma. The tacoma has the same issues with paint flaking off in sheets yet they will not cover the repairs or extend the recall to include the truck. There are thousands of us that have signed a change.org petition and complained to toyota but haven't received any support. My paint started flaking when it was just past the 36 month warranty. currently this flaking is on 9 of my body panels. 'TAKITA RECALL ' SEVERAL TIMES I HAVE TAKEN MY PICKUP TO THE DEALER FOR A CLING, SPRING SOUND WHEN YOU ARE APPLY BRAKES. AND THE ENGINE HAS LOUD TICKING SOUND .THE FIRST TIME THEY SAID IT WAS HOW THE VEHICLE WAS MADE. THERE IS A NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT END ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE ON A BAD ROAD DISCLOSE THEY CANT HEAR ANYTHING. TOOK IT BACK AGAIN THEY SAID THEY CAN'T FIND NOTHING EVEN TO THE BRAKE NOISE THAT THEY SAID WAS A PART OF HOW THE VEHICLE WAS MADE. THEY TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HAVE IT FOR TWO DAYS THEN PRETEND TO WORK ON IT THEN GIVE IT BACK TO YOU AND NEVER FIND ANYTHING. THEN YOU THE CUSTOMER HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THESE ANNOYING UNSAFE EXPERIENCES. YOU GET SO DISCOURAGED BECAUSE THEY NEVER CAN FIND ANYTHING AND WHEN THEY DO IS HOW THE VEHICLE IS MADE THEN BY THE TIME YOU KEEP GOING BACK AND WITH THE SAME RESPOND THE WARRANTY IS CLOSE TO END. LAST TIME I TOOK THE PICKUP IN WAS JANUARY 28,2019 AND THEY RETURNED IT ON THE 30TH WITH NO DOCUMENT TO WHAT THEY DID.
We paid $638.42 to repair a leak issue which later became a recall. We we are now having difficulty getting Toyota to reimbursement that money.
I HAVE NOT BEEN INFORMED ABOUT A SAFETY RECAL UNTIL I CAME TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME.
WHILE DRIVING IN CITY MY TRUCK SHAKES AND VIBRATING HORRIBLY WHEN GOING INTO 2ND GEAR. AND CONTINUES TO SHAKE LIGHTLY AS I CONTINUE DRIVING. DEALER SAYS NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE TRUCK COULD BE A TIRE ISSUE. SO GOT MY TIRES BALANCED AND ROTATED. PROBLEM STILL RESUMES. AND STILL NO ANSWER AS TO WHAT THE ISSUE IS. I HAVE ONLY 69,276 MILES ON THE TRUCK BUT IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY APPARENTLY. ON HIGHWAY DRIVING THE PROBLEM IS LESS NOTICEABLE BUT CAUSES NO POWER TO CLIMB HILLS OR PASS OTHER MOTORIST.
TRANSMISSION SHAKES VEHICLE IN LOWER GEARS WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO A STOP. TRANSMISSION HESITATES AND HARD JERKS WHEN SHIFTING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE .
MY WIFE AND I DROVE FROM AUSTIN TEXAS TO ARKADELPHI ARKANSAS DUE TO ME GETTING OUT OF THE ARMY'ACTIVE' AND MY TRUCK HAD BEEN SLOWLY STUDDERJNG, SPITTING ETC.. WELL IT IS STALLED AT A PARKING LOT FOR A WEEK NOW.. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE 'CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR' FOR MY EXACT MODE AND TOYOTA WILL NOT HONOR MY TRUCK FOR IT AND THAT'S THE CODE IT'S READING ETC..
HESITATION UPON ACCELERATION AT TIMES.
MY BSM SENSORS WERE BLINKING AND A NOTICE CAME UP ON THE CONSOLE TO CHECK BSM INDICATORS. I MANUALLY TURNED OFF THIS FUNCTION AND BACK ON---THE LIGHT WAS BLINKING AND THE BSM SENSORS WERE STILL NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN THE DEALERSHIP TODAY THEY DID SOME TESTS AND LOOKED AT IT AND SAID THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THE BSM WIRE HARNESS BECAUSE OF WATER DAMAGE GETTING INTO THE REAR BUMPER. THE ESTIMATE WAS FOR 1,0588.49 FOR REPARE. I THINK IF TOYOTA IS SELLING BLIND SPOT MONITORS AS A SAFETY FEATURE, THEY SHOULD LAST MORE THAN 2 YEARS AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. THIS IS AN OFF ROAD VEHICLE? THIS SEEMS LIKE A COMMON PROBLEM AFTER RESEARCHING IT ONLINE AND IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD, NOT TO MENTION THE VEHICLE IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD.
THIRD LIGHT LEAKS WATER DAMAGED WIRING/ DAMAGED CARPET / MILDEW PROBLEM
WHEN TURN THE STEERING WHEEL MAKES A POPPING , CLICKING SOUND
WAS HIT BY A DIFFERENT DRIVER IN A PARKING LOT.
ON LONG TRIPS WHERE THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN FOR SEVERAL MILES IN ONE GEAR IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO PULL IT OUT OF 4TH, 5TH OR 6TH GEAR IN ORDER TO CHANGE GEARS. THIS RESULTED IN DANGEROUS SPEED CONTROL ISSUES (BOTH TOO FAST AND TOO SLOW FOR TRAFFIC) WHILE DRIVING ON MOUNTAINOUS HIGHWAYS. THE PROBLEM AND ITS REPAIR ARE EXACTLY DESCRIBED ON TOYOTA SERVICE BULLETIN TSB-0088-16. IN MY OPINION THE BULLETIN SHOULD BE ESCALATED TO A RECALL BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY CONCERNS. THE PROBLEM IS REPEATABLE BUT DIFFICULT TO DEMONSTRATE TO A TECHNICIAN BECAUSE IT REQUIRES A LONG DRIVE TIME AND UNDER CERTAIN TERRAIN AND/OR DRIVING CONDITIONS.
MY CAR 2016 TOYOTA TACOMA HAS REBUILT TITLE AND VOIDS THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. TOYOTA CORP HAS TSB 0077-16 SHIFT FEELING ENHANCEMENTS FOR THE TRANSMISSION DUE TO: DELAYED ENGAGEMENT PARK TO DRIVE OR REVERSE TO DRIVE. HARSH 1ST - 2ND UPSHIFT. DELAYED UPSHIFT WHEN USING CRUISE CONTROL. I EXPERIENCE HARSH UP SHIFT AND DOWNSHIFT IN THE TRANSMISSION WHILE DRIVING. IT NEEDS SIMPLE SOFTWARE UPDATE, BUT THE TOYOTA COP DECLINED THIS UPDATE FOR MY VEHICLE (CASE# 1808271028 ON 08/28/2018) IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS IT MAY MAKE TRANSMISSION UNCONTROLLABLE ORE DELAYED AND VEHICLE MAY GET INTO THE ACCIDENT. WE HAVE ONE SCHOOLED BOY AND INFANT GIRL. I WANT TO INFORM ABOUT THE ISSUE SO THAT ALL VEHICLES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND BRANDED TITLES ARE TO BE CORRECTED BY TOYOTA CORP AT NO EXPENSE TO THE OWNERS. I WILL ATTACH THE TSB TOYOTA DOCUMENT THAT EXPLAINS WHAT IS THE PROBLEM
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BACK SEAT OF THE VEHICLE WOULD BE WET EVERY TIME IT RAINS WITHOUT ANY WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LEAK WAS SEEN COMING FROM THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT HAD TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER PETERSON TOYOTA (4381 FAYETTEVILLE RD, LUMBERTON, NC 28358, (910)-375-4996) WAS CONTACTED AND A DIAGNOSED TESTING APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT IF THERE WAS WORK DONE TO THE VEHICLE BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ASSIST WITH ANY REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
THIS CAR HAS SHUT OFF TWICE WHILE DRIVING. FIRST TIME WHILE TOWING A BOAT... WHILE TURNING LEFT ON A HIGH SPEED TWO LANE ROAD AND SECOND WHILE GOING 45 TOWARDS A GREEN LIGHT. BOTH TIMES THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF. WE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED...TWICE! TOYOTA SAYS "FIXED' THE PROBLEM "TWICE". WE ASKED THEM TO BUY THE CAR BACK AFTER THE SECOND TIME, AS WE NO LONGER FELT SAFE IN IT.......THEY REFUSED. AS A GESTURE OF "GOOD WILL" THEY OFFERED US AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, WHICH WE HAD ALREADY GOTTEN WHEN WE PURCHASED THE CAR SO IT WAS POINTLESS. WE CREATED A CASE WITH THEM AFTER IT OCCURRED THE SECOND TIME. THE MOST RECENT RECALL THAT ADDRESSES THIS ISSUE DOES NOT INCLUDE THIS MODEL YEAR AND IT NEEDS TO. SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE..THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE. WE ARE NOW STUCK WITH A CAR THAT WE DON'T FEEL SAFE IN BUT TOYOTA WOULD NOT DO THE RIGHT THING. HOPEFULLY BY US REPORTING OUR PROBLEM IT WILL SAVE SOMEONE ELSE LIFE.
PARKING BRAKE SEIZES WHEN APPLIED. AFTER LOOSENED, EVERY TIME I START THE TRUCK, THE BRAKES APPLY AFTER I AM DRIVING FOR 30 SECONDS OR SO.
I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK IN JUNE 2018, USED WITH 32000 MILES ON IT. I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY IN A THUNDERSTORM ON 7/25/18, AND THE KIDS IN THE BACKSEAT SAID THEY WERE GETTING WET, AND THAT THE WATER WAS COMING THROUGH THE HEADLINER. LOOKED THIS UP ONLINE WHEN I GOT BACK HOME AND IT WAS A KNOWN ISSUE OF THE REAR BRAKE LIGHT ON THE CAB LEAKING THROUGH THE SEAL. BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER THE NEXT DAY AND THEY SAID THE REPLACEMENT SEAL WAS ON BACKORDER 2-3 MONTHS, AND THERE WERE THOUSANDS OF TRUCKS ALL OVER THE US WITH THIS PROBLEM, WHICH WAS APPARENTLY REENGINEERED IN THE 2017 MODEL. I MADE A CALL TO TOYOTA CORPORATE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A SEAL MIRACULOUSLY APPEARED AFTER 3 WEEKS. AFTER THE SEAL WAS REPLACED THE DEALER SAID THAT, UPON FURTHER INSPECTION THEY FOUND MOLD, AND IT WAS THE WORST THEY HAD EVER SEEN. THEY TOOK EVERYTHING OUT OF THE CAB AND THEY HAVE TO SCRAPE ALL OF THE SOUND DEADENING MATERIAL OFF THE FLOORBOARD WHERE THE MOLD HAS CONCENTRATED. THEY WILL THEN HAVE TO HAVE AN OUTSIDE COMPANY COME IN AND TREAT THE VEHICLE FOR THE MOLD ISSUE. THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO ORDER REPLACEMENT PARTS AFFECTED. I WAS ADVISED THIS MORNING IT WILL BE ANOTHER 2-3 WEEKS BEFORE THE REPAIRS ARE COMPLETE. THANK GOD I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE WITH A CERTIFIED WARRANTY. OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE BEEN SCREWED. WITH THE MOLD ANYONE WHO RODE IN MY CAR COULD POTENTIALLY BECOME SICK. I WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE A NEW MODEL INSTEAD TO AVOID MY KIDS GETTING SICK, BUT THE DEALER SAID IT WOULDN'T QUALIFY ON THE ARKANSAS LEMON LAW. WHY THE HELL HASN'T THIS ISSUE BEEN RECALLED BY THE MANUFACTURER???
THE CAR IS SQUEAKING FOR NO REASON. LOOKED ONLINE AND MANY COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN TALKED ABOUT THROUGH FORUMS AND YOUTUBE. THE DEALER REFUSES TO FIX IT FOR SOME AND SAYS IT IS A KNOWN COMPLAINT, NOT SURE IF ITS SAFETY RELATED
3RD BRAKE LIGHT OVER TORQUED AT FACTORY RESULTING IN DEFECTIVE SEAL AND EVENTUALLY CRACKED LIGHT FIXTURE. THIS RESULTS NOT ONLY IN ELECTRICAL ISSUE BUT SERIOUS LEAKING INTO CABIN - AFFECTING REAR SEAT, ROOF, AND FLOORING. LEAK NOTICED AFTER RAIN STORMS AND NOTICING WET FLOOR/SEATS AND DAMP FLOORS. THERE ARE NUMEROUS REPORTS OF THIS ISSUE AFFECTING 3RD GENERATION TACOMAS ON TOYOTA FORUMS SUCH AS TACOMAWORLD.COM.
AS OF NOW THE AC FAN MAKES A LOUD NOISE LIKE SOMETHING FELL APART. THERE IS NO AIR BLOWING THROUGH THE VENTS. IT SOUNDS LIKE BROKEN BLOWER MOTER.
FAN BLOWER MOTOR FAILED , NO AC/HEAT OR DEFROST AS A RESULT. .
I STARTED THE TRUCK AND THE AIR CONDITIONER STARTED MAKING A TERRIBLE RATTLING NOISE. THE NOISE STOPPED WHEN THE FAN WAS TURNED OFF. I CONTACTED TOYOTA AND WAS TOLD IT WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE BLOWER MOTOR AND THAT THE PART WAS BACK-ORDERED WITH NO TIMEFRAME FOR A FIX. I AM IN LINE BEHIND OVER 1200 OTHER PEOPLE FOR THE BACK ORDERED PART. INITIALLY I FELT THAT THIS WAS ONLY A COMFORT ISSUE, WHICH IS DISTRESSING ENOUGH ON A TRUCK THAT ONLY HAS 25,000 MILES ON IT, BUT I HAVE COME TO REALIZE THAT IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS THE IT IMPACTS THE DEFROST MODE AS WELL. IF THE DEFROST IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY DUE TO THE FAN FOR THE HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM, AND TIMES OF INCLEMENT WEATHER LEAVE YOU WITH NO OPTIONS TO IMPROVE VISIBILITY FROM FOG OR ICE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS PERFORMED VERY SLOWLY EVEN WHEN THEY WERE ON THE HIGHEST SPEED. THE FAILURE PREVENTED THE CONTACT FROM SEEING THE ROAD CLEARLY DURING HEAVY RAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MIKE CALVERT TOYOTA (2333 S LOOP W, HOUSTON, TX 77054) WHERE THEY STATED THAT ALL THE VEHICLES WERE MANUFACTURED THE SAME WAY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
WHEN MY A/C STOPPED WORKING DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, I HAD IT CHECKED AT GLENS FALLS TOYOTA WHERE I WAS TOLD THE CONDENSOR NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THEY DETERMINED THAT THE HOLE HAD BEEN CAUSED BY A ROCK KICKED UP BY THE VEHICLE AND THAT IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THIS POLICY, AS THERE ARE MANY OTHER ENGINE COMPONENTS THAT - LIKE THE A/C CONDENSOR - ARE NOT SHIELDED ON THIS OFF-ROAD CAPABLE VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN DRIVEN OFF-ROAD.
THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL IS MISALIGNED AND THE CURRENT SOLUTION DOESN'T RESOLVE THE NOISE. I'M AFRAID EXCESSIVE WEAR IS HAPPENING AND ISSUE WILL ARISE MUCH SOONER
TRUCK WITH ONLY 8000 MILES HAS OVER 3000 DOLLARS DAMAGE FROM RODENTS CHEWING ON WIRING....RESEARCH ONLINE SHOWS THAT THERE ARE CLASS ACTION SUITS AS MANY PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM OF RODENTS BEING ATTRACTING TO "SOY BASED WIRING".WHEN I PAID ALMOST 40,000 DOLLARS FOR A NEW TRUCK , I MISTAKENLY THOUGHT ID BE TROUBLE FREE FOR AT LEAST 3 YRS OR 36000 MILES...I HAVE INSURANCE BUT MUST PAY 1000 DOLLARS DEDUCTABLE AND WITHOUT TRUCK FOR APPROX 3 WEEKS AND NOW ALSO THE POSSIBILITY OF THIS RECURRING AGAIN. IM SURE THE INTENTIONS WERE GOOD WITH THE SOY BASED WIRING...IE, LESS PLASTIC IN LANDFILLS....BUT WHILE THIS PROBLEM HAS ALWAYS HAPPENED, NEVER THIS OFTEN AND REPEADEDLY...A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH OF TOYOTA SOY WIRING SHOULD ENLIGHTEN ANYONE ...

MY TRUCK HAS BEEN MAKING AN UNUSUAL BUMP SOUND WHICH OCCURS SHORTLY AFTER COMING TO A STOP SINCE I BOUGHT IT IN 2016. THE TRUCK HAS ALSO BEEN MISFIRING FOR AS LONG AS I HAVE OWNED IT. I AM AFRAID THAT THE BUMP MAY BE DUE TO LOOSE OR BROKEN MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION MOUNTS, LOOSE SUSPENSION BOLTS OR THE GAS TANK MAY BE SHIFTING. THE MISFIRE MAY INDICATE THAT A FUEL LINE IS BEING RESTRICTED WHEN THE GAS TANK SHIFTS POSITION. A PINCHED OR DEFORMED GAS LINE MAY BE STARVING THE FUEL PUMP AND CAUSING THE ENGINE TO MISFIRE. SINCE THE BUMP SOUND IS DELAYED AND OCCURS AFTER COMING TO A STOP, IT SUGGEST TO ME THAT THE GAS TANK MAY BE THE CAUSE SINCE THE GASOLINE IN THE TANK IS IN MOTION AFTER THE TRUCK COMES TO A STOP. I NEED TOYOTA TO TAKE THIS DEFECTIVE TRUCK IN AND REPAIR IT FOR THIS AND ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS I HAVE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED TO TOYOTA. TOYOTA NEEDS TO PROVIDE ME WITH A LOANER TRUCK WHILE MY TRUCK IS BEING REPAIRED. I HAVE LEFT MY TRUCK WITH TOYOTA 5 TIMES FOR THE MISFIRE AND TOYOTA HAS NOT EVERY PROVIDED ME WITH A LOANER VEHICLE. (THE CONDENSER HOSE'S PURPOSE IS TO DISCHARGE CONDENSATION FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER.) THIS CREATES A FIRE HAZARD, THE POTENTIAL FOR MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL FAILURE AND THE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. THE UNDERLYING PROBLEM IS A DESIGN PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS VERY COMMON/ FREQUENT AND TOYOTA HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS - BUT FAILS TO ACCEPT IT IS A PROBLEM. I HAVE NEEDED TO 'UNCLOG:' THE HOSE TWICE OVER THE LAST YEAR. LAST WEEK, THE LARGE BUILD UP OF WATER IN BEHIND MY DASHBOARD RESULTED IN SMOKE COMING INTO THE CABIN OF MY CAR. AFTER THAT INCIDENT, I TOOK MY RELATIVELY NEW CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP; I WAS TOLD THIS REPAIR WAS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. AGAIN THIS IS A PROBLEM CAUSED BY A FAULTY DESIGN

SINCE I DID NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE, I COULD ONLY COAST TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE STREET. SINCE THERE WAS NO SHOULDER LANE ON THIS STREET, MY VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE, BLOCKING THE LANE OF TRAFFIC FOR SOME TIME UNTIL TWO GENTLEMEN CAME TO ASSIST ME WITH PUSHING MY VEHICLE OUT OF DANGER. REPAIR TOOK 10 BUSINESS DAYS SINCE THEY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE INITIALLY (REPAIR INVOICE WILL BE PROVIDED UPON REQUEST). TWO DAYS AFTER I PICKED UP MY TRUCK FROM THE DEALERSHIP, THE BATTERY DIED IN A PARKING LOT. I'M NOT SURE IF THE BATTERY DEFECT IS RELATED TO THE "BRAKE OVERRIDE MALFUNCTION".
