VIBRATING BRAKES, DEALER HAS REPLACED ROTORS AND DRUMS WITH SHOES AND PADS SIX TIMES NOW.*AK
BRAKING SYSTEM WEARS OUT VERY QUICKLY, THUS CAUSING INCONSISTENT BRAKING/VIBRATIONS. ROTORS AND DRUMS WEAR OUT AFTER ABOUT 5-7KMI OF USE.
BRAKE PROBLEMS FROM DAY ONE. REPLACED ALL BRAKE PARTS LESS THAN ONE YEAR AGO. BRAKES STOPPED WORKING 10-15-02 WITH NO WARNING. NO STOPPING ABILITY AT ALL TOOK TRUCK TO DEALER. DEALER SAID MAJOR BRAKE FAILURE HAVING MUCH TROUBLE WITH TUNDRA BRAKES ARE TOO SMALL FOR TRUCK. WOULD NOT TELL WHAT PARTS CHANGED. DT
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY.*JB
WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. *JB
INTERMITTENT FRONT BRAKE VIBRATION PROBLEM. DEALER REFUSES TO FIX IT. *AK
WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED THE VEHICLE SHAKES. TOOK TO DEALER AND THE DEALER STATED THEATROTORS NEEDED TO BE RESURFACED. WITHING 5000 MILES OF THE RECALL BEING DONE, THE VEHICLE WAS SHAKING AGAIN WHEN BRAKING. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED EXCESSIVE BRAKE FAILURES. HAD TO REPLACE BRAKE PADS AT 22000 MILES AND AGAIN AT 40000 MILES RESPECTIVELY. THEN, AT 48000 MILES, THE ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM FAILED, AND HAD TO BE REBUILT WITH NEW ROTORS/ CALIPERS AND PADS. VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING EXTREME VIBRATION WHEN BRAKING FROM SPEEDS OVER 40 MPH.*AK PH *JB
PROBLEMS WITH BRAKING SYSTEM. *MR PLEASE REFER TO ODI#10020650. THE CONSUMER FELT THAT THIS WAS A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT. *SCC *JB
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON/OFF. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND DEALER REPLACED THE OXYGEN SENSOR. *AK
THE TRUCKS FRONT SEAT BELTS FAILS TO RETRACT BACK INTO IT'S HOLSTER, AND GETS CAUGHT IN THE DOOR. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED THE ENTIRE SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST. *PH
BRAKE PROBLEMS ON 2000 TOYOTA TUNDRA.*MR SINCE FILING HIS COMPLAINT LAST YEAR, CONSUMER DISCOVERED HIS 02 SENSOR RELAY MALFUNCTIONED AND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD WAS CRACKED. THE SENSOR WAS BURNED AND ALMOST CAUSED A FIRE. CONSUMER INQUIRED WHETHER THESE FAILURES HAVE BEEN INVESTIGATED AND WHAT'S THE POSSIBILITY OF A RECALL. *PH
WHEN BRAKING FRONT OF THE VEHICLE VIBRATED. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOUR TIMES, AND DEALER HAS REPLACED THE FRONT ROTORS, PADS, DRUMS, AND STRUTS. *AK
FRONT END WOBBLED WHEN THE CONSUMER DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL. DEALERSHIP TURNED THE ROTORS, BUT THAT PROVIDED A TEMPORARY SOLUTION. DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT THERE WAS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN ON THIS ISSUE THAT INDICATED THIS PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY THE CALIPERS WHICH WERE TOO SMALL. *AK
WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKES THE REAR BRAKES LOCKED UP. DRIVER WAS ABLE TO UNLOCK THEM. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE DRUMS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND REPLACED THEM THREE TIMES, BUT THE PROBLEM RECURRED. ALSO, FRONT BRAKES WERE REPLACED SEVEN TIME DUE MANUFACTURER'S DESIGN FLAW. *AK
