I will be answering the questions below in order. I have come across multiple post online of other people who had their axle beam failed. - Rear Axle Beam Broken. - Once the axle beam is broken while driving it can lose control and cause a major accident. - Problem has been confirmed by local service center. - Not sure. - No lights on dash.
The rear axle has failed due to corrosion. Loss of right rear wheel assembly was narrowly avoided. Noticed the wheel was squatting oddly and upon inspection the wheel assembly was nearly removed by hand.
Side-impact on the passenger side, car flipped over and landed upside down. Airbags did not deploy

The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or a mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted or notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 180,000.
I bought a 2007 Toyota Yaris brand new. It's a one owner car with 216000 miles. 5 years ago, I noticed that the side skirt was rusty near the back wheel. Over time, they rusted out. One month ago, while pulling in at the gas station, I heard a crunch. I felt the drivers side of my car go down as well. Got out and drivers rear wheel was tilted in at the top. The passenger rear wheel was also leaning in at the top. The rear axle was rusted out on the welds. The car was about to crumple up in two. It looks to me like the car had a defect in which water somehow accumulated or ran down the back of that side skirt and rusted it, then the rear axle out. My little economical car is junked out. It may be one of the cheapest cars...well I'm a poor person. I worked my butt off to pay for that and I thought because it was a toyota that it would last. I was wrong. Thank God I only going 5mph. That could easily kill someone. Of course toyota killed all kinds of people a couple of years after I bought that yaris. I knew they were not to be trusted at that point. I thought I was going to keep my yaris forever. I guess I thought wrong.
My wife was in town driving about 10 mile an hour just pulled away from stop sign, when her drivers side rear tire broke off. We loaded it on a trailer and brought it home. The Axel Beam had completely rusted in two Now Toyota is tell me its 1600 dollar for a new one. I think since they she could have been Killed her they could fix her car.
Since Toyota replaced the air bags as part of the airbag recall back in 2019 in my 2007 Toyota Yaris (VIN: [XXX]), the airbag signs always stayed on; I'm just worried if this prevents the airbags to deploy in case of a crash. The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Yaris. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, an abnormal sound was heard, and the sunroof was opened halfway. The contact pulled over and noticed the sunroof glass had detached from the vehicle. There was no impact to the sunroof that could have caused it to detach. The contact did not sustain any injuries. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. The VIN was unavailable.
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Yaris. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the air bag warning light and "Passenger Air Bag Turned Off" warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the independent mechanic who diagnosed the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V741000 (Air Bags) and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The contact stated that the warning lights including the seat belt warning light had been illuminated. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000.
ON METER SHOW AIRBAG SIGN
REAR AXLE BEAM CRACKED ON LEFT SIDE AT A WELD, NOTICED VEHICLE NOT TRACKING PROPERLY AND HAD CHECKED AT A SHOP AND THEY FOUND THIS.
WHEN I START MY CAR ALL OF THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS ARE COMING UP. OTHER PRIUS HAS SAME PROBLEMS.
STRANGE SOUND COMMING FROM REAR AREA. LOOKED AND REAR PASSANGER SIDE TIRE LEANNING INWARD TOWARD CAR. TOOK TO REPAIR SHOP. THE REAR AXLE BEAM WAS RUSTED ENOUGH THAT THE TIRE WAS GETTING READY TO COME OFF. THE REPAIR SHOP HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. I AM THE ONLY OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE. HAD ABOUT 214,000 MILES WHEN THIS OCCURED. NO, LONGER OWN CAR.
TAKATA RECALL
P/S DASHBOARD RED LIGHT CAME ON WITH SUDDEN LOSS OF STEERING ASSIST WHILE TURNING AND DRIVING. LUCKILY THE CAR IS LIGHT, BUT I COULD HAVE EASILY HIT AN OBJECT, HAD IT HAPPENED IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION OR AT A DIFFERENT SPEED. PROBLEM DISAPPEARED BY ITSELF. TWO WEEKS THEREAFTER, AN EXTREMELY STRONG BURNED ELECTRICAL CIRCUITRY SMELL SUDDENLY FILLED THE VICINITY OF THE CAR, COULD BE FELT FROM ABOUT 10 FEET AWAY, WHILE IDLING, WHILE STOPPED FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS WITH FRONT WHEELS TURNED TO THE RIGHT ABOUT HALF-WAY, AS I WAS CHECKING MY MAIL BOX UPON ENTERING DRIVEWAY. A LOW PITCH WHINING/DRONING NOISE WAS EMANATING FROM UNDER THE HOOD WHILE THE CAR WAS IDLING. THE NOISE AND ODOR PERSISTED AFTER THE STEERING WAS SET AT 0 DEGREE ANGLE AND AFTER THE CAR WAS PARKED. NO P/S DASHBOARD WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. NO LOSS OF STEERING ASSIST. NO VISIBLE SIGN OF SMOKE, FIRE, OR MELTED PLASTIC IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FUSE BOX. WIRE HARNESSES LOOKED INTACT. SUSPECT EPS - ELECTRIC POWER STEERING MOTOR. OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE ABOUT 85OF. CAR DRIVEN FOR JUST 3 MILES ON THAT DAY, SIDE STREET DRIVING ONLY, NEVER OVER 35 MPH. AC FAN ON FULL BLAST, HEADLIGHTS OFF. CAR HAD DIFFICULTY ACCELERATING UPON DEPRESSING THE GAS PEDAL ON SAME DAY, PRIOR TO AFOREMENTIONED INCIDENT.
DRIVING DOWN ROAD AND AXLE BEAM BROKE AT SEAM. DRIVERS SIDE. WAS GOING STRAIGHT AT THE TIME. HEARD NOISE. TOP OF TIRE WAS LEANING INWARD TOWARDS CAR.
DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. HEARD A NOISE THAT SOUNDED LIKE A BLOWN TIRED. PULL OVER AND LOOKED UNDER CAR. THE WHEEL WAS LEANING AND IT APPEARED TO ME A BAR WAS BROKE. TOWED IT TO GARAGE AND MECHANIC HAD NEVER SEEN THIS AXLE BEAM BROKEN AT THE SEAM. PICTURES ATTACHED.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,000.
AIR BAG LIGHT ON AND POWER TRAIN SPEED SENSOR LIGHT ON

REAR AXLE CORROSION CAUSED THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL TO FALL OFF. THANKFULLY THIS HAPPENED JUST AS THE VEHICLE WAS BEING PARKED. THE ENTIRE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. VEHICLE REPAIRED BY L&M AUTO OF EAST OTIS, MA 01029
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA YARIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MAGIC TOYOTA (21000 HWY 99, LYNNWOOD, WA 98036, (425) 775-4422) TO BE REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V340000 (AIR BAGS), 14V168000 (AIR BAGS), AND 14V169000 (SEATS). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS EXTREME MOLD IN THE VEHICLE, WHICH MADE IT UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WATER ENTERED THE VEHICLE AND SOAKED ALL THE SEATS, CARPETING, AND SEAT BELTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CARPET AND FABRIC IN THE VEHICLE HAD EXCESSIVE MOLD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS WATER EVEN IN THE AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING VENTS. WHILE AT THE DEALER, THE CONTACT REQUESTED THAT THE MECHANIC CHECK FOR THE ENTRY POINTS OF THE WATER, BUT THE DEALER DECLINED THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL REPAIRS COULD NOT BE COMPLETED UNTIL THE MOLD WAS REMOVED FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 1802021186. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA YARIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED AND WOULD NOT TURN OFF. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS IN ALGERIA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000.
THE ABS SENSOR IS NOTORIOUSLY BAD, AND I HAD TO STOP SUDDENLY AND WENT INTO A FOUR WHEEL SLIDE BECAUSE THE ABS STOPPED WORKING. THIS NEEDS A RECALL.
"TAKATA RECALL" THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. VEHICLE WAS REAR-ENDED AT 30 MPH AND PUSHED INTO CAR IN FRONT. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SEAT BROKE AND TWISTED AND THE HEADREST DISLODGE AND FLEW OUT OF THE SEAT. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN TRAFFIC WHEN REAR-ENDED BY CAR MOVING 30 MPH. THIS ON A CITY STREET. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SEAT DID NOT STAY IN PLACE. THE HEADREST DID NOT PROTECT THE OCCUPANTS HEAD.
TAKATA RECALL, AIRBAG INFLATORS, POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH, SEAT RAIL MY TOYOTA YARIS 2007 HAS THREE UNCOMPLETED SAFETY RECALLS. ONE OF THEM IS RELATED TO THE AIRBAG INFLATORS, WHICH ARE "DEFECTIVE AND COULD RUPTURE, CREATING A RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH." I CONTACTED "BILL KIDDS TOYOTA VOLVO CARS" SEVERAL TIMES IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS TO REMEDY THE SAFETY RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE, BUT NOONE RESPONDED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR ME YET.
TAKATA RECALL THE RECALL WAS ISSUED ON 5/23/16. TODAY IS 9/19/17 AND THE RECALL IS STILL INCOMPLETE. THEY HAVE FAILED TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE IN A TIMELY MANNER. SIXTEEN MONTHS IS A LONG TIME TO WAIT...ESPECIALLY WHEN EVERY TIME YOU RIDE AS A PASSENGER YOU RUN THE RISK OF BEING SEVERELY INJURED OR KILLED BY THE DEFECT. WE MAKE SURE THAT OUR CHILDREN RIDE IN THE BACK, BUT IF THE AIRBAG WAS TO DEPLOY AND SEND METAL SHRAPNEL FLYING THOUGH THE FRONT SEAT, THERE IS A CHANCE THAT THEY COULD STILL BE INJURED OR KILLED. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. THIS IS OUR DAILY FORM OF TRANSPORTATION. I WOULD RATHER HAVE NO AIRBAG THAN TO RUN THE RISK OF MYSELF, MY CHILDREN OR MY HUSBAND BEING IMPALED BY METAL SHRAPNEL. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED...IMMEDIATELY.
ANY DAY, ANY WEATHER, ANY ROAD CONDITIONS. THE ROAD COULD BE AS DRY AS A BONE. WHEN I DRIVE AROUND A CURVE (IT DOESN'T MATTER IF I'M DRIVING 45 MPH, OR 15 MPH), THE BREAK PEDAL WILL ENGAGE ON IT'S OWN, THE STEERING WHEEL WILL LOCK, AND A BEEPING ALARM WILL GO OFF. I HAVE NO CONTROL OF THE VAN. IT WILL PUT ME INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. EVERYDAY. EVERYDAY. ANY TIME I DRIVE THIS VAN. MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY FOR THE LAST 15 MONTHS. LOTS OF $, AND LOTS OF TRIPS TO DEALER AND CAR REPAIR SHOPS. CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM, BUT IT'S A MAJOR PROBLEM. WE TRIED NEW TIRES, CHANGING WHEEL SENSORS, NEW BRAKES, ADDING FLUID TO STEERING WHEEL COLUMN, NEW AXELS... AND THE LIST GOES ON. NOTHING FIXES THE PROBLEM. I'VE READ A LOT OF SIMILAR STORIES ON THE INTERNET. LOTS PF PEOPLE, SAME PROBLEM, AND NOTHING IS FIXING THE PROBLEM ON ANYONE'S VAN. THERE ISN'T A SOLUTION TO A MAJOR PROBLEM.
TAKATA RECALL RECEIVED INTERIM NOTICE, BUT DID NOT RECEIVE ANY REMEDY NOTIFICATION LATER. JUST RECEIVED AUTO AIRBAG SETTLEMENT NOTICE TODAY. CALLED LOCAL DEALER TO FOLLOW THE NOTICE OF GETTING THE AIRBAG REPLACED ASAP, AND THEY SAID THEY HAD NOBODY THERE TO OPERATE THE COMPUTER TO VERIFY MY CAR WAS UNDER THE RECALL & CALL BACK ANOTHER DAY. HOW COME I COULD VERIFY THE SAME DAY ON MY PHONE & THE DEALER COULD NOT? NOW, I NEED TO TAKE MY WIFE TO THE HOSPITAL & WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONTACT THE DEALER UNTIL LATER. SO TWO COMPLAINTS; NO REMEDY NOTIFICATION & DELAY BY THE LOCAL DEALER.

TAMARA RECALL IN 2015 I WAS SOLD A 2007 TOYOTA YARIS HATCHBACK. AUGUST 10, 2017 I WAS NOTIFIED OF A POSSIBLY DEADLY DEFECT IN THE CAR THAT TOYOTA HAS KNOWN ABOUT FOR SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE MY CAR WAS SOLD TO ME. THE FACT THE AUTO MANUFACTURER CHOSE TO PUT MY FAMILY'S LIVES IN JEOPARDY, AND IS ACTUALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATHS OF OTHERS, INSTEAD OF IMMEDIATELY NOTIFYING EVERY COMSUMER, BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT TO EAT THE COST OF OF THE MASSIVE RECALL, IS UNACCEPTABLY IMMORAL BEHAVIOR. I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. I WILL NO LONGER BE PURCHASING A CAR FROM THESE COMPANIES, AND I WILL SEEK A FULL REFUND ON THE PRICE I PAID FOR THE CAR, AND WILL SHOP ELSEWHERE. THEY KNEW ABOUT IT AND CONTINUED TO MAKE AND SELL THEM. THE SAFETY OF THE CONSUMER IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN COMPANY PROFITS.
TAKATA RECALL - AIR BAGS DEPLOYED INJURING DRIVER, THE VEHICLE WAS IN TURNING
THE PROBLEM WITH MY 2007 TOYOTA YARIS IS SUDDEN ACCELERATION WITH ACCELERATOR GETTING STUCK AT PARTIALLY DEPRESSED LEVELS (AROUND 50-60 MPH). I HAVE TO PRESS BRAKE SEVERAL TIMES TO GET IT TO STOP. THIS IS SPORADIC AND HAPPENS WITHOUT WARNING. I TOOK IT TO VANN YORK TOYOTA IN HIGH POINT, NC AND THEY TOLD ME THE CAUSE OF MY PROBLEM WAS AFTER MARKET FLOOR MATS. THEY CONCLUDED THIS AFTER ONE TIME TRAVELING AROUND 60 MPH. THIS IS NOT THE CASE BECAUSE THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT THE FLOOR MAT INTERFERENCE. THIS IS STILL HAPPENING AND I AM AFRAID THAT IT WILL GET STUCK AND I WON'T BE ABLE TO STOP IT. I HAVE LEARNED THAT TOYOTA RECALLED VEHICLES FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM BUT I NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE. PLEASE ADVISE ME ON WHAT I SHOULD DO. THANK YOU. *JS
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA YARIS. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V340000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALER (BIG ISLAND TOYOTA AT 808-969-3122) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL REMEDY PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER, AND THAT THE CONTACT WOULD BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL A LOCAL DEALER. THE DRIVER SEAT BELT DOES NOT RETRACT. WHEN BUCKLED UP, THIS IS REALLY HARD (AND IT TAKES AT LEAST 30 SECONDS) TO UNFASTEN THE DRIVER SEAT BELT. I'M SCARED TO BE TRAPPED INSIDE IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME, NO MATTER WHERE I DRIVE, IF THE CAR IS IN MOTION OR NOT. I NOTICED THE PROBLEM 1 YEAR AGO. WHEN LOOKING ON INTERNET, I SEE THIS IS A REALLY COMMON PROBLEM.
(TOYOTA CASE # [XXX]) - ON 7/14/2017, I PHONED THE TOYOTA PHONE NUMBER LISTED ON THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT, INDICATING THAT MY VEHICLE HAD A "SAFETY RECALL" BEGINNING 2009, REQUIRING THE "SOUND INSULATOR SSC (17T0C90C)" TO BE REPLACED (SEE ATTACHED LETTER -TO FOLLOW). ALTHOUGH THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE REPLACED IT "ON 4-8-2009, ORDER # 0913552", I DON'T RECALL THIS TO BE TRUE BECAUSE I DO NOT RECALL EVER RECEIVING ANY MAIL REGARDING THIS ISSUE. I REQUESTED REPRESENTATIVE [XXX], TO PROVIDE ME WITH SUCH DOCUMENTATION. SHE THEN SAID THAT THE RECALL TIME PERIOD ENDED AND THAT I HAD ONLY 6-12 MONTHS TO TELL THEM THAT THIS REPLACEMENT WAS DEFECTIVE. AS PER THE DOCUMENTATION, THE DRIVER WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DETECT THIS UNLESS CHECKED BY THE SERVICE DEPT. IT WAS DETERMINED ON 5-17-2017 TO BE DEFECTIVE, NEEDING REPLACEMENT WHEN I BROUGHT MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A PERIODIC OIL CHANGE (SEE ATTACHED DOCUMENT - TO FOLLOW). I ASKED [XXX] TO HAVE HER SUPERVISOR REVIEW OUR TAPED CONVERSATION AND CONTACT ME WITH THE APPROPRIATE REPLACEMENT. IT APPEARS THAT EVEN IF THEY CAN SUBSTANTIATE THAT THEY REPLACED IT BACK IN 2009, MY CONTENTION THAT IT IS ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO POSE AN ARBITRARY 6-12 MONTH CUT OFF PERIOD FOR A REPLACEMENT AT NO CHARGE TO THE OWNER. AS OF THIS WRITING, I DID NOT GET A CALL BACK OR EVEN AN E-MAIL RESPONSE FROM TOYOTA. PLEASE INTERVENE ON MY BEHALF BECAUSE A "SAFETY RECALL" ISSUE MUST BE ADHERED TO BY LAW AND IF THE ONE PUT IN AS A REPLACEMENT (LIKE THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL), THEN TOYOTA IS LIABLE AND RESPONSIBLE TO REPLACE THAT DEFECTIVE ONE TOO. TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE, AND CONTACTED BURIEN TOYOTA TO HAVE THE FIX PERFORMED. I WAS TOLD THAT THE AIRBAG WAS "ON BACK-ORDER" AND THAT I SHOULD CALL BACK IN 5-6 WEEKS. I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS FIX IS BEING PERFORMED IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. THE RECALL NOTICE CALLS THIS AN "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL" AND SAYS THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE PASSENGERS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT OF MY CAR. TAKATA RECALL; I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON 2-22-17. I CALLED THE SUBURBAN TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND RECEIVED LITTLE INFORMATION. I WAS TOLD TO CALL BACK IN A MONTH OR TWO AND MAYBE THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. THIS RECALL IS SEVERAL YEARS OLD . WHY AM I JUST NOW BEING NOTIFIED? I. WHEN THE RECALL WAS FIRST ANNOUNCED I CHECKED TO SEE IF MY VEHICLE WAS ON THE LIST AND IT WAS NOT. I RECEIVED MY NOTIFICATION ON 2-22-17.IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT LESS THAN 15% OF THE AFFECTED VEHICLES HAVE BEEN REPAIRED. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I DISCOVERED THAT I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A CAR CONTAINING AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE THAT COULD RUPTURE ANY TIME CONDITIONS ARE RIGHT. TOYOTA DOES NOT SEEM TO BE OVERLY CONCERNED WITH MY SAFETY OR ANYONE ELSE'S.

MY LOCAL SERVICE DEALERSHIP - DUNNING TOYOTA IN ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN (734-997-7600) AT A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT REFUSED TO PERFORM RECALL BECAUSE THEY RESIDE IN ZONE C OF THE RECALL, DESPITE HAVING WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION, IT BEING AN URGENT SAFETY ISSUE AND THERE BEING CONFIRMED LOCAL AVAILABILITY OF THE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT PART. SERVICE MANAGER ([XXX]) AND GENERAL MANAGER ([XXX]) FAIL TO RETURN REPEATED PHONE CALLS TO ADDRESS ISSUE. SUBSEQUENT CONTACT WITH CORPORATE TOYOTA REVEALED DUNNING TOYOTA OF ANN ARBOR FRAUDULENTLY REPORTED IN THE NATIONAL TOYOTA SYSTEM THAT THEY HAD PERFORMED THE RECALL REPAIR, WHICH PREVENTS ME FROM GOING TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE PARKED, SEAT BELT WILL NOT RETRACT, WILL STAY OUT UNTIL I FEED IT BACK TO THE SLOT. I HAVE A COUPLE OF YEARS WITH THIS PROBLEM HOPING THAT THERE WAS GOING TO BE A RECALL. PLESE HELP, I DON'T FEEL SAFE. SOMETIMES THE SEAT BELT GETS CAUGHT ON THE DOOR SINCE IT WILL NOT RETRACT.
