AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ILLUMINATED, CAUSING CONSUMER TO TAKE VEHICLE TO DEALER FOR THE FOURTH TIME. PROBLEM IS NOT INTERMITTENT, LIGHT STAYS ON UNTIL IT IS FIXED. DEALER WAS NOTIFIED. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *AK
AIR BAG LIGHT CONTINUOUSLY STAYS ON ALL THE TIME WHILE CONSUMER IS DRIVING. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED DEALER 7 TIMES ALREADY, BUT THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING FOR CONSUMER. *AK

CAR WAS PARKED AND CAUGHT FIRE-TOTAL LOSS, WAS THIS AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE OR VANDALISM. *AK
AIRBAG SYSTEM DEFECTIVE, REQUIRING REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS, INCLUDING AIRBAG REPLACEMENTS, 11 DIFFERENT TIMES. SINCE SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK AND AIRBAGS DO NOT DEPLOY WHEN SENSORS ARE ON, THIS IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE. *AK
THE FAILURE IS WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. DOES NOT FUNCTION WHEN AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND THE DIAGNOSIS WAS A BAD PANEL. I WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS A RECALL REGAURDING THESE PANELS.*AK
CAR BEGAN TO HESITATE BUT DID NOT STALL. ALL PANEL LIGHTS BEGAN TO FLASH, ALSO A ''CLICKING'' SOUND. THERE ALSO WAS A SMELL OF BURNING WIRES. THE CAR BECAME FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAME IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. THE FIRE BEGAN ON DRIVERS SIDE. *AK
ON 12/27/01 WHILE DRIVING MY 2000 VW BEETLE TO WORK ALL THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS STARTED TO FLASH AND MAKE A CLICKING SOUND. I THEN SMELLED WIRES BURNING. I GOT OUT OF MY CAR , CALLED MY HUSBAND AS I WAS NOT EXPECTING THE CAR TO CATCH ON FIRE. WITHIN MINUTES I NOTICED SMOKE AND THEN FLAMES COMING FROM BENEATH THE DRIVERS SIDE DASH. I THEN CALLED 911 BUT THE CAR WAS FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES BY THE TIME THE F.D. GOT THERE. THE FIRE STATION IS APROX. 1 MILE FROM THE INCIDENT. VW HAS BEEN DEAF TO MY COMPLAINT.*AK
FAILED HEADLIGHT CANNOT BE REPLACED BY OWNER BECAUSE OF THE DIFFICULTY OF REMOVING FRONT CAR PANEL. THE ONLY DEALER WITHIN 30 MINUTE DRIVE CANNOT WORK ON THE CAR WITHIN THE NEXT 5 DAYS, RESULTING IN CAR HAVING TO BE DRIVEN WITHOUT HEADLIGHT. SUGGEST DEALERS MAKE EXCEPTIONS FOR WORKING ON CARS IN NEED OF A HEADLIGHT, SINCE IT'S A CORE PIECE OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND THAT CONSUMERS BE MADE AWARE OF THE DESIGN PROBLEM BEFORE BUYING THIS CAR BECAUSE OF BOTH THE TIME AND EXPENSE INVOLVED IN A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT THAT IS SUBJECT TO FAILURE AT ANY TIME. *AK
WHILE COMING TO AN INTERSECTION AND DOWNSHIFTING, INSTEAD OF THE CAR SLOWING DOWN, THE CRUISE CONTROL TURNED ITSELF ON AND PROCEEDED TO ACCELERATE. BY PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE CRUISE CONTROL TURNED OFF. THE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED ONE TIME. MY CAR HAS NOW BEEN IN THE SHOP 8 TIMES FOR NUMEROUS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND VW OF AMERICA DOESN'T SEEM TOO INTERESTED ON SOLVING THE PROBLEMS.
BRAKE AND GAS PEDAL ARE VERY CLOSE TOGETHER. WHEN WEARING WORKSHOES THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF STEPPING ON THE BRAKE IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION, DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL AND PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL AT THE SAME TIME BECAUSE THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSES BEYOND THE HEIGHT OF THE GAS PEDAL. CONSUMER REQUEST THAT DEALER INSTALL A KILL SWITCH ON ACCELERATOR TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM. *TT

NUMEROUS NUISANCE PROBLEMS SINCE PURCHASE OF THIS VEHICLE AS FOLLOWS: PASSENGER WINDOW WILL NOT CLOSE WITH ELECTRIC SWITCH AT 42,000 MILES, TRUNK LATCH DEFECTIVE AT 35,000 MILES SO THAT TRUNK RELOCKS PREMATURELY, ELECTRIC MIRROR SWITCH BROKEN AT 35.000 MILES, HORN INOPERATIVE AT 35,000 MI, FLOOR MAT SNAPS NEARLY ALL BROKE AT 35,000 AND WERE NO LONGER AVAILABLE, DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH BROKE AT 20,000 MI. LEAVING WINDOW IN OPEN POSITION, IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER BROKEN AT 19,000 MI. LEAVING RADIO ON AFTER CAR TURNED OFF, CIGARETTE LIGHTER INOPERATIVE UPON PURCHASE, AIR BAG LIGHT ON SPONTANEOUSLY AT17,000 MI., PASSENGER VANITY MIRROR SPONTANEOUSLY BROKEN AT 17,000 AND THEN AGAIN IMMEDIATELY AFTER REPLACEMENT BY DEALER. FINALLY CAR STALLED AT 31,000 MI. DEALER CLAIMED THAT NEW CLUTCH WAS NEEDED. NONDEALER, HOWEVER, FOUND THAT WHEN DEALER HAD INSPECTED ENGINE AFTER A COLLISION 3 MONTHS EARLIER, THEY HAD NOT PUT BOLTS BACK ON PROPERLY, CAUSING BOLTS TO BE LOST LIKELY ONE AT A TIME OVER THE 3 MONTHS. TRANSMISSION SLIPPED WHEN LAST BOLT WAS LOST (WHICH I HAD FOUND ON THE ROAD AT THE TIME OF THE STALL). DEALER IS INCOMPETENT AND IRRESPONSIBLE. COMPLAINT FILED WITH MANAGER WHO MADE NO AMENDS. RUN, DON'T WALK, AWAY FROM ANY VW!!!!*AK

CLUTCH FAILED ON A STEEP HILL WHILE WAITING FOR A LIGHT TO CHANGE. THE CLUTCH BURNT OUT WHEN THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO AVOID ONCOMING, UPHILL, RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. $1,800 REPAIR COSTS. VOLKSWAGON REFUSES TO REPLACE PART PAST THE 12,000 MILE WARANTEE DESPITE THE DRIVER'S 18 YEAR, PROBLEM-FREE, CLUTCH DRIVING EXPERIENCE WITH 2 VOLKSWAGONS AND 2 HONDAS. HORN JUST DIED. ELECTRIC WINDOWS DO NOT FOLLOW OWNER MANUAL DESCRIPTION OF OPERATION!
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE. THE CONTACT STARTED THE IGNITION AND THE "AIR BAG " WARNING LIGHT INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE PASSENGER SIDE WIRING HARNESS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THE MALFUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON EIGHT SEPARATE OCCASIONS FOR THE IDENTICAL FAILURES WITH REPLACEMENT OF THE DRIVER SIDE WIRING HARNESS. THERE HAVE BEEN NO RESOLUTIONS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,218. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 47,564.
2000 VW BEETLE AIRBAG LIGHT. MY WIFE'S 2000 BEETLE'S AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. IT HAS BEEN BACK TO VW SERVICE FOUR TIMES TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. IT STARTED WELL BEFORE THE WARRANTY RAN OUT. EACH TIME THEY REPLACE EITHER THE DRIVER SEAT WIRING HARNESS OR DRIVER SEAT AIRBAG OR BOTH. ONE TIME THEY REPLACED THE CONTROLLER. IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN AND AGAIN AND MOST RECENTLY THEY REPLACED THE AIRBAG AND WIRING HARNESS FOR THE FOURTH TIME. THIS TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM FOR A WEEK AND THEN AGAIN THE LIGHT COMES ON. VW HAS BEEN GOOD TO COVER THESE REPAIRS EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY BUT AS WE SEE IT, THE PROBLEM HAS NEVER REALLY BEEN FIXED CORRECTLY IN THE FIRST PLACE SO IT'S ONLY RIGHT THAT THEY KEEP SPENDING THEIR DOLLAR TO GET IT RIGHT. IT HAS BEEN EXPLAINED TO US BY VW SERVICE THAT IF THE LIGHT IS ON, THE AIRBAGS SYSTEM WILL NOT FUNCTION IN A CRASH AND THIS CAUSES US GREAT CONCERN. THE VW SERVICE MANAGER CONTACTED VWOA TECH SUPPORT AND THEY SUGGESTED BYPASSING A WIRING CONNECTOR BY RUNNING A WIRE FROM THE CONTROLLER TO THE AIRBAG. (SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE GRASPING AT STRAWS). PROBLEM IS THEY WANT US TO PAY THE $550 TO PERFORM THIS. VWOA HAS REFUSED TO PAY FOR THIS PROCEDURE. WWW.NEWBEETLE.ORG IS LITTERED WITH AIR BAG PROBLEMS SO IT IS NOT JUST OUR CAR THAT THIS AFFECTS. PLEASE LOOK INTO THESE PROBLEMS AND MAKE VW ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR AIR BAG SYSTEMS. SOONER OR LATER SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED BY THEIR AIRBAG FAILING TO INFLATE. THANK YOU. *NM

WHEN JUMP STARTING OR REPLACING BATTERY VEHICLE WOULD RUN APPROXIMATELY THREE MILES OR LESS BEFORE IT STALLS COMPELETLY OUT. VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALER SHOP TO RESET ALL OF ELETRICAL COMPONENTS, TO GET THE VEHICLE TO RUN AGAIN. WHEN STARTING VEHICLE IN MORNING AND WHEN BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED WITH VEHICLE IN REVERSE , PEDAL GOES DIRECTLY TO FLOOR, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. DEALER REPLACED BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER, WHICH DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *AK DEALER HAS ALSO RECENTLY REPLACED THE HYDRAULIC PUMP AND PROBLEMS STILL EXIST, VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN SHOP SINCE JUNE 11TH. *SLC
I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, 10 MILES SOUTH OF PROVIDENCE, RI ON I-95. IT WAS 82 DEGREES AND SUNNY. I HAD A/C ON. SUDDENLY REAR WINDOW, FOR NO EXPLAINBLE REASON, EXPLODED OUTWARDS. THERE WAS A LOUD "BOOM" AND THE WINDOW SHATTERED IN THOUSANDS OF
MAY 2001 WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT A WINDOW (DRIVERS) FELT THRUOUGH DOOR CAVITY ON MY VEHICLE. THE DEALER REPAIRED AND THAT WAS IT. THE NEXT MONTH THE PASSENGER WINDOW HAD THE SAME LUCK AND THIS TIME THE SERVICE ADVISORS AT THE DEALER (CAMELBACK VOLKSWAGEN AT PHONEIX, AZ) COMMENTED THAT THIS WAS FAIRLY COMMON ON THE VOLKSWAGENS, AND NOW THAT BOTH OF MY SYSTEMS WHERE REPAIRED I DID NOT HAVE TO WORRY ANYMORE. I WAS UPSET AND ASKED HOW COME THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THEY SAID THAT VW DID NOT CONSIDERED A SAFETY ISSUE ONCE THE WINDOW FALLS YOU HAVE NO WAY TO LOCK THE CAR UNLESS YOU TAKE IT TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE!! ON JULY 29, 2002 MY PREVIOULSLY REPAIRED WINDOW FELT INTO THE DOORS CAVITY ONE MORE TIME. I CALLED THE DEALER AND ASKED FOR AN EXPLANATION AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE INSTALLED PART WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND THAT A NEW PART WAS DESIGNED AND BEING INSTALLED ON BROKEN VEHICLES. THIS TIME I CALLED VOLKSWAGEN AND DEMANDED THAT BOTH OF MY WINDOWS SYSTEMS WHERE TO BE REPAIRED AT THE SAME TIME WITH THE NEWLY DESIGN PART, AND ASKED WHY THERE IS NOT A RECALL ON THIS MATTER AND THEY CLAIMED THAT THERE IS NOT A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF CASES. WELL THE DEALER TELLS ME THAT THEY ARE DEALING WITH 10-15 CASES A DAY AND THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE THE PART IN STOCK., IT IS ON BACK ORDER AND THEY CAN ONLY PROP THE WINDOW AND LEAVE UNMOBILE UNTIL THE PARTS ARRIVE. IN THE MEANTIME VW REFUSES TO REPLACE THE OTHER PART ON THE DRIVERS SIDE UNTIL IT FAILS, EVEN WHEN THEY KNOW THAT THE INSTALLED PART IS FAILING CONSTANTLY AT LEAST IN THE STATE OF ARIZONA.*AK
ENGINE WOULD NOT START, AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS IT STARTED BUT CHECK ENGINE & AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ON. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF AFTER 23 MILES, BUT AIR BAG LIGHT STAYED ON UNTIL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WAS REPLACED BY DEALER. *AK
VEHICLE HAS EXPERIENCED SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS AN INTERNAL PROBLEM WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WHICH REQUIRED THAT TRANSMISSION BE REPLACED. ALSO, DEALERSHIP HAS INFORMED CONSUMER THAT HEAD GASKET AND CONTROL VALVE FOR THE ENGINE WERE DEFECTIVE. NOTE: DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN IN POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 DAYS. *AK *JB
AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. DEALER STATED AIRBAG SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
WHEN IT IS EXTREMELY COLD (MOST OF THE TIME THE TEMPERATURE HAS BEEN BELOW ZERO) THE CAR WILL LOSE POWER AND DIE. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES. I WAS GOING APPROX. 75 ON THE INTERSTATE PASSING ANOTHER VEHICLE WHEN THE CAR LOST POWER AND DIED. THE TEMP. WAS TEN BELOW ZERO. I HAVE BEEN LEFT STRANDED 4 TIMES WITH THIS VEHICLE IN TEMPERATURES BELOW ZERO. THANK GOD FOR CELL PHONES!! I AM WORRIED ABOUT THIS HAPPENING ON RAILROAD CROSSINGS OR IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. I AM CURRENTLY WORKING WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND VOLKSWAGEN FOR A REFUND- JUST WANTED YOU TO BE AWARE OF THE SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE BEETLE.*AK

SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH CAR. WORST WARRANTY AND SERVICE. DLR DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH. POOR ATTITUDE OF SERVICE, AND POOR PUBLIC RELATIONS. I LOVE THE CAR, BUT IT WILL BE THE LAST VW I BUY, DUE TO THE ATTITUDE, SERVICE, RELIABILTY SO FAR,AND WARRANTY ISSUES. NO SAFETY DEFECT MENTIONED. *AK
I AM REQUESTING ANY DEFECT INFORMATION ON THE REAR WINDSHIELD OF MY 2000 NEW BEETLE GLS. ON RETURNING TO MY LOCKED CAR ON LUNCH BREAK I FOUND THE WHOLE BACK WINDSHIELD WAS SHATTERED IN A PUFFED OUT DIRECTION (NO MAIN STRESS CRACK). SINCE IT IS SAFETY GLASS IT REMAINED INTACT (I HAVE SEVERAL PICTURES). THE CAR HAD BEEN LEFT STILL FOR 3 HOURS.I CONTACTED BOTH DEALERSHIP AND "ZONE" CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR VOLKSWAGON TO REPORT THIS AND THEY SAY THEY NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING EVER HAPPENING. I WORK FOR A FORKLIFT COMPANY WITH 20 PLUS MECHANICS ON SITE AND IT WAS SAID TO RESEMBLE HEAT EXPANDING IN THE CAR. THIS IS JANUARY THE TEMPERATURE ON THIS DAY WAS 40 DEGREES AND SUNNY. I WOULD LIKE ANY INFORMATION YOU HAVE PERTAINING TO THIS. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW THE ANSWER TO A $500.00 QUESTION. THIS IS VERY DEVASTATING.*AK
THE DEALER ADMITS THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO FIX THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT. THE HEATED OPTION ON THE SEAT IS INOPERABLE AND AFTER A REASONABLE NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS THE OPTION IS STILL NOT FUNCTIONING. I AM GOIN TO ARBITRATION TO HAVE VW PURCHASE THE VEHICLE BACK ON 02/15/01. THE DEALER SAID THAT THERE ARE SIMILAR PROBLEMS ON ALL BEETLES WITH THESE SEATS YET NO TECH BULLETIN HAS BEEN PUT OUT AS OF YET. THIS CAR IS A LEMON AND I AM GETTING NOWHERE.*AK

DURING VEHICLE COLLISION WHICH RESULTED IN VEHICLE ROLLOVER THE AIRBAGS EXPERIENCED NO DEPLOYMENT. *MJS
VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE WHILE ON WAY HOME FROM WORK. INITIAL SYMPTOM WAS THAT VEHICLE LOST POWER WHILE ON HIGHWAY AND STALLED. VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. IT THEN WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN APPROX. 5 MILES WHEN IT AGAIN LOST POWER. IT WAS THEN ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO A FUEL STATION WHEN IT STALLED. UPON RESTART THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GAGES WERE NOT OPERATIVE. IT WAS DRIVEN INTO AN AMOCO GAS STATION WHEN SMOKE BEGAN EMANATING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE INTENSITY OF THE SMOKE INCREASED AND IT WAS APPARENT THAT THE CAR WAS ON FIRE. I PULLED HOOD OPENING LEVER NEAR DRIVER'S SIDE KICK PANEL TO OPEN HOOD. I JUMPED OUT OF VEHICLE AND OPENED HOOD. THE LEFT FRONT PORTION OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS ON FIRE AND FLAMES WERE READILY APPARENT. THE FLAMES WERE COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE FIREWALL OF THE VEHICLE EXTENDING UP THE WIRE HARNESS TOWARDS THE BATTERY. THE BATTERY STARTED TO MELT AS WELL. A PASSERBY IN A CUBE VAN OBSERVED THIS INCIDENT AND GRABBED A FIRE EXTINGUISHER FROM HIS TRUCK AND PROCEEDED TO CONTAIN AND EXTINGUISH THE FIRE.ER. *AK
VEHICLE USES DIESEL FUEL. THEREFORE WATER IN FUEL FREEZES IN FUEL FILTER LINE, CAUSING VEHICLE TO STOP. *AK
INTERMITTENTLY VEHICLE WILL STALL OUT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20-25 MPH, BATTERY LIGHT WILL COME ON. CONSUMER MUST RESTART VEHICLE. DEALER HAS REPLACED FUEL PUMP RELAY SWITCH AND RAN TEST, BUT DEFECT STILL OCCURS. DT: DRIVER HAD PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE INCE IT WAS NEW. WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN THE CONSUMER HAS A HARD TIME SEEING IF THE WAY IS CLEAR. THE CONSUMER IS WORRIED THAT SHE WILL HIT SOMEONE OR SOMETHING WITH THE VEHICLE. *AK *TT *NM

PROBLEM WITH THE 'ENGINE CHECK LIGHT'. FIRST CAME ON AT ABOUT 3K MILES. DEALER SPENT FOUR HOURS AND MADE A COMMENT ABOUT THE FAULT CODE BEING ASSOCIATED WITH THE IDLE SPEED (YEAH RIGHT). THEY FOOLED WITH IT , RESET THE COMPUTER AND SENT ME AWAY. NOW IT'S BACK ON AGAIN. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE LIGHT GOES OUT BUT THEN RE-APPEARS AGAIN. IT'S BACK TO THE DEALER AGAIN. IF ANYONE HAS AN ABSOLUTE SOLUTION, I'D LOVE TO KNOW SO I CAN TELL THE DEALER WHAT TO LOOK FOR. *AK
SIDE WALL DEVELOPED A BULGE ON THE APPROXIMATELY THE SIZE OF A HALF DOLLAR. THE BULGE EXTENDED OUT APPROXIMATELY 3/4 OF AN INCH. TOOK THE TIRE TO A LOCAL GOODYEAR DEALER. GOODYEAR REPRESENATIVE LOOKED AT THE TIRE STILL MOUNTED ON THE CAR AND CLAIMED IT WAS DUE TO ROAD HAZARD. DEALER DID NOT DISMOUNT THE TIRE OR INVESTIGATING THE ACTUAL FAILURE. WOULD ONLY DO SO IF I PURCHASED A NEW TIRE. CLAIMED IT WAS OBVIOUS ROAD HAZARD BECAUSE THE HUB CAP WOULD HAVE A CORRESPONDING DING. HUBCAP DID NOT HAVE ANY MARKS. STILL CLAIMED IT WAS CAUSED BY A ROAD HAZARD WHERE THE TIRE WAS PINCHED TO ALLOW THE OVERLAPPING MATERIAL TO OPEN UP AND AIR TO SEAP OUT AND CREATE THE BULGE.*AK( DOT NUMBER: M60FBEDR42 TIRE SIZE: 205/55R16 )
SRS LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. VEHICLE TAKEN TO DEALER 6 TIMES, REPLACED WIRING HARNESS ONCE. OTHER TIMES CONSUMER WAS TOLD VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, LIGHT WAS OFF, BUT CAME BACK ON AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING AT 5 MPH ANOTHER VEHICLE RAN INTO CONSUMER'S VEHICLE GOING AT SPEED OF 45 MPH. UPON IMPACT, DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
