TAKATA RECALL PURCHASED THIS CAR AFTER FEBUARY RECALL. DID NOT KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL UNTIL I RECEIVED A NOTICE IN APRIL. DEALER NEVER MENTIONED THE RECALL OR THAT THERE WAS NO SOLUTION! IT'S BEEN MORE THAN A YEAR SINCE MY RECALL WAS FORMALLY ISSUED AND MY AIRBAG STILL HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED! THIS IS DANGEROUS!
TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE FEBRUARY 2016 FOR A REMEDY TO THE AIRBAG RECALL ON MY CAR. THERE IS NO WAY FOR ME TO FIX WHAT COULD BE A POTENTIALLY LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION, AND I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR.

CAR HAS 8200 MILES. STARTED TO NOTICE WHEN EXIT THE FREEWAY A RUMBLING SOUND, AFTER FEW TRIPS I NARROWED THE PROBLEM TO FRONT DISC BRAKES. SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE WARPED. AFTER 2 TIMES OF TAKING THE VEHICLE FOR INSPECTION TO SAVANNAH VOLKSWAGEN, THEY GAVE ME FEEDBACK THAT PROBLEM IS NORMAL. THE PROBLEM IS MORE ACCUTE WHEN BRAKES WARM UP A BIT AFTER DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO SINCE VW CUSTOMER SERVICE TELLS IS OK.
DRIVING ON US-95 OUTSIDE OF PHILADELPHIA PA. CHANGED LANES FROM LEFT LANE TO CENTER. SMALL RUT BETWEEN LANES. RIGHT FROM WHEEL FAILED. WHEN CHANGING THE TIRE, I NOTICED THE WHEEL COMPLETELY CRACKED ALONG THE CIRCUMFERENCE ON THE FLAT SECT WHERE IT MEETS THE SIDE RAMP OF THE WHEEL GOING TOWARDS THE BEAD. THE TIRE STAYED IN PLACE, BUT THE WHEEL BROKE INTO 2 SECTIONS. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF POT HOLE DAMAGE. LIKE A LARGE CHUCK OR CRACK IN SIDE WALL OF TIRE OR RIM. I BELIEVE THIS IS A DEFECT. *TR
NORMAL DRIVING AUTO WHEN TIRE WENT TOTALLY FLAT. REPLACED IT WITH SPARE TIRE. PARKED CAR AND TWO HOURS LATER, A SECOND TIRE HAD GONE FLAT. NO DISCERNIBLE DAMAGE TO TIRE OR RIM TO ACCOUNT FOR FLAT. *TR
I LEASED A VW CC 2014 MY VEHICLE ON NOV 20 2014. ON DEC 1 2014, WHEN I WAS BACKING UP AT MY OFFICE LOCATION I SAW A WHITE LINE ON THE DISPLAY UNIT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER TO FIX IT. THEY REVIEWED THE ISSUE AND REPLACED THE CENTER DISPLAY. HOWEVER ON 11-DEC-2014 THE SAME ISSUE OF CENTER LINE APPEARED ON THE SCREEN. AFTER HAVING THE CAR FOR A DAY, THE VW TOLD ME ITS BY DESIGN THAT A CENTER SHALL COME UP WHEN THERE IS SUN. THIS IS SAFETY ISSUE AND I HAVE PICTURES AND VIDEOS OF THIS BEHAVIOR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED UNINTENDED ACCELERATION CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO A STEEL POLE AND A SECOND VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SUFFERED HEAD AND STOMACH INJURIES DURING THE CRASH. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR WAS THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3000.
I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH A GAS SMELL THAT ARISES FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT FOR OVER 4 YEARS-- I WAS ENCOURAGE TO CHANGE MY FUEL PUMP BY VW DEALER-- BUT THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. I WAS ENCOURAGED TO ONLY PUT PREMIUM GRADE A GAS AND FUEL INJECTOR CLEANERS WHICH I DID REPEATEDLY, UNFORTUNATELY THE SMELL WORSENED UNTIL THE DAY I WENT TO REGISTER MY CAR AND I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A VISIBLE FUEL LEAK FROM UNDER THE MANIFOLD AND IT WAS A SLOW DRIP THAT WAS EVAPORATING OFF THE ENGINE HEAD. I WAS TOLD THE CAR COULD COMBUST AT ANY TIME. I WENT TO THE NEARER VW AND THE PROBLEM THAT NO ONE COULD FIGURE OUT FOR YEARS WAS A "FUEL LINE TO HIGH PRESSURE PUMP" $ 399 TOTAL-- I NO LONGER HAVE THIS FUEL SMELL. BUT BASED ON MY RESEARCH THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF VW'S ALL MODELS WITH THE SAME ISSUE .THE FUEL SMELL WAS NOTED THE YEAR AFTER I PURCHASED THE CAR WITH 20,000 MILES AND THE HOSE GAVE OUT AT 70,000 MILES. I BELIEVE THIS IS A REPORTABLE INCIDENT FOR A POSSIBLE RECALL.
