The contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen CC. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the air bag warning light illuminated. Additionally, the steering wheel control buttons and the horn became inoperable. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V483000 (Air Bags). The local dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
Hi, I’ve had my turbocharge replaced in October of 2020 at the Volkswagen dealership in Wichita, KS. Just recently my car started driving funny again such as not accelerating like it should with a slight whining noise. I can only get up to 25-30 mph then the whining noise starts up to where I have to take my foot off the gas, let my speed drop itself then proceed to accelerate again which is very dangerous. Since I had already experienced this problem not even 3 years ago I knew but I still went to get the car diagnosed and again it is the same exact problem not even 3 years later.
The clockspring on my vehicle is out. I know this has been a MAJOR issue and recalls with my make and model of cars (Volkswagens). It is not fair that all models and makes are not included in the clockspring recall. This is a major safety issue with the airbag and horn not working.
Airbag non deployment after 2 service recalls. I don’t feel safe driving my children around in a car that is not equipped for safety. Fuel pump control module is not working probably even after service recall. Engine malfunctioning.
I had to replace the engine coil packs/spark plugs 4 times in the last year. This is not normal and a complaint amongst Volkswagens.
The airbag light went off in the instrument cluster. I hear what sounds like a disconnected cable rubbing against the steering wheel whenever I try to make a turn. All buttons in the steering wheel are non functional after the incident. Really concerned if the airbag won’t deploy and cause fatal or deadly injuries in case of crash. I don’t feel safe driving it in this condition.
The Trunk wiring harness is not working. Trunk and back up camera wont work. After research I see this is a common issue. Should be a recall.
The contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen CC. The contact stated that recently the trunk lid started failing to open as needed. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that there was a clicking sound coming from the trunk release switch located on the driver’s side. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed or repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer had been notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.
My airbag light is on once again and I have only had the recall replaced once never had the second so some shop has scammed that they replaced it. I need it fixed
Wiring harness 3C8-971-182-J yielded multiple wire breaks with exposed copper ends near harness couplers. Wiring is for rear lights and camera mounted on trunk hood. Some rear lights failed to light. Picture is available. Have noticed multiple issues of same on internet with identical breakage.
Error code P2015 was generated which is the air intake manifold. Volkswagen mechanic said we shouldn't drive very much due to it could get worse. Replacement would cost $1812.50, local shop charged $893.00. Volkswagen has since issued a extended warranty which my vehicle falls under but I'm getting push back on being reimbursed. What are my options?
DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE I HEARD A LOUD BANG SOUND LIKE A GUNSHOT. I LOOK UP AND GLAS WAS ALL OVER ME. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE WHEN MY SUNROOF IS CLOSE.

Over time, the trunk could not be opened from outside the vehicle. The trunk could be opened using the button inside the vehicle or the key fob. The contact also mentioned that the driver’s side rear reverse light would intermittently remain illuminated with a warning message on the instrument panel. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer and was informed that there was a defective wiring harness that caused the failure. The contact declined to repair the vehicle out of pocket. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000. Vin was not available.
VEHICLE TRUNK LIGHT INDICATOR SHOWS THAT VEHICLE TRUNK IS OPEN. INTERMITTENTLY TURNS OFF THEN COMES BACK ON. TRUNK INTERIOR LIGHT STAYS ON. THIS WILL DRAIN CAR BATTERY IF LIGHT ISN'T UNPLUGGED LEAVING PEOPLE STRANDED. THIS SEEMS LIKE IT IS A FAULTY DESIGN ON BEHALF OF VOLKSWAGEN. VOLKSWAGEN SHOULD PERFORM AN ACTION AND REMEDY FOR THE VW CC OWNERS AFFECTED BY THIS PROBLEM. *TR
BACK UP CAMERA SYSTEM FAULTY PER VOLKSWAGON DEALERSHIPS AND INTERNET- VOLKSWAGON CUSTOMER CARE VIEWS AS A RADIO AND NOT A SAFETY ISSUE.
DRIVING THE CAR (WHICH WAS PURCHASED 6 MONTHS AGO FROM OUR LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP) HONKED THE HORN ON THE CAR COMING HOME FROM PICKING UP THE KIDS FROM SCHOOL. DRIVING THROUGH LOCAL STREETS AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE AIR BAG SIGN CAME ON. NOW WHEN I TURN CAR ON IT STATES AIRBAG DEFECT AND NONE OF THE CONTROLS WORK ON THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CAR IS MY WIFE'S CAR AND SHE DRIVE MY TWO LITTLE BOYS IN IT DAILY. THE AIRBAG DEFECT WARNING IS CONCERNING ESPECIALLY READING OTHER OWNER'S COMPLAINTS IN REGARDS TO THIS ISSUES.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the rack and pinon needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but there was an abnormal rattling noise detected. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle shifted hard. The steering wheel was loose. The air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the same dealer where it was diagnosed that the motor mount bolt had detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no further assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
STEERING WHEEL CLOCK SPRING BROKE. NO HORN OR FUNCTION BUTTONS WORKING ALONG WITH THE AIRBAG.
TAKATA RECALL ON NOVEMBER 11, 2017, I TOOK MY CAR TO TONY VOLKSWAGEN IN WAIPAHU, HAWAII TO REPLACE THE TAKATA AIR BAGS. IT TOOK ONE WHOLE YEAR FOR THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO GET THE PART AND GET BACK TO ME. TERRIBLE SERVICE. ON AUGUST 3RD, 2018, I RECEIVED A TAKATA RECALL AGAIN SAYING IT WAS NOT REPLACED. THE NAME OF THE SERVICE ADVISOR WAS 51448 AARON CHAN FROM TONY VOLKSWAGEN IN WAIPAHU HAWAII. THIS IS MY COMPLAINT. IT WAS NEVER REPLACED IN THE FIRST PLACE. UNETHICAL AND FRAUDULENT!!! I COULD HAVE GOTTEN INTO AN ACCIDENT ALL THIS TIME THINKING IT WAS FIXED.
TAKATA RECALL, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THE PART SINCE JULY 2018. THIS IS A SAFETY RECALL AND CURRENTLY I AM TAKING A MAJOR RISK BY DRIVING MY VEHICLE WHICH I NEED TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO WORK. I AM EXTREMELY ANXIOUS AND UPSET AS THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN UNABLE TO PROVIDE ME WITH ANY INFORMATION AS TO WHEN THE PART WILL BE AVAILABLE.
MY VEHICLE START WITH THE PROBLEM AT 33KMILES. NOW I'M AT 37KMILES AND IT'S HAPPENING DAILY. AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND PUTTING IT ON DRIVE, THE BRAKE WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY AND STARTED MAKING A SCREECHING NOISE. ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD LIT UP, THE MESSAGE CENTER SHOWS ERROR WITH AIRBAG, ABS BRAKE, VEHICLE STABILIZATION...ETC. I AM AFRAID FOR MY LIFE, THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I WOULD STOP AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTART THE VEHICLE, SOMETIMES THAT RESET THE LIGHTS AND OTHER TIMES THAT DOES NOT HELP. THE BIGGEST CONCERN IS THE BRAKES NOISES AND THE POWER STEERING GETS UNSTABLE, AND AFRAID THE AIRBAG MIGHT NOT WORK PROPERLY IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. I JUST UPDATE THE AIRBAG FROM THE LAST RECALL. I CAN'T DRIVE WITH MY BABY IN THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE ISSUES.
THE CAR IS STALLING UPON ACCELERATING WHILE IN MOTION AND AT A STOP IT JERKS BACK AND FORTH. THE CAR SHAKES WHEN ACCELERATING AND PUTTERS EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY.
IN FEBRUARY OF 2017, MY VEHICLE STALLED ON A BUSY FREEWAY WHILE IN MOTION AND COMPLETELY DIED, AFTER TOWING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY DETERMINED SEVERAL PARTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED INCLUDING MOUNTING, BEARING, C VALVE, AH SEPARATOR, RIBBEDBELT, TENSIONER, C-GASKET, D-GASKET, SEAL RING AND BOLT. AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE HOME AGAIN IT DIED. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP MODULE, WASHER AND CONTROL UNIT. THE CAR APPEARED TO BE DRIVING FINE THE DAY I LEFT, BUT THE NEXT MORNING IT WOULDN'T START. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP IN WHICH THEY ADVISED I NEEDED A NEW BATTERY. I KEPT UP WITH ALL SERVICE AND IN JANUARY OF 2018 WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, IT STALLED YET AGAIN WHILE IN MOTION, WITH VEHICLES ALMOST STRIKING ME, AFTER TOWING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY ADVISED IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP MODULE AGAIN. THEY REPLACED THE PART. THE CAR WAS DRIVING FINE UNTIL MARCH 2018 WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED ON THE FREEWAY WHILE IN MOTION. THE DEALERSHIP NOW STATES THE BUSHINGS ARE CRACKED AND DRY ROTTED, AND THE MECHATRONIC UNIT HAS FAILED AND THE VEHICLE NOW NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION.

17V509 RECALL #. FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE COULD CAUSE POWER OUTAGE AND ALREADY HAS. TWICE. AND THEY ARE STILL REFUSING TO FIX THIS. I'VE HAD TO REPLACE MY BATTERY AND TWO MONTHS LATER WAS STRANDED BECAUSE I LOST POWER WHILE STATIONARY.

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED OUT OF CONTROL ACROSS THE ROAD AND CRASHED INTO A COUPLE OF TREES IN A NEIGHBOR'S YARD. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ONLY THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (DIEHL AUTOMOTIVE, 258 PITTSBURGH RD, BUTLER, PA 16002, 724-282-8898). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HE INQUIRED OF THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER TO BUY BACK THE VEHICLE OR PROVIDE A LOANER VEHICLE BUT WAS DENIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. I WAS INFORMED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS RECALLED, VEHICLES IN THE STATES WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES WOULD RECEIVE PRIORITY TREATMENT. I WAS INFORMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE.I WAS INFORMED THAT VW WAS NOT ATTEMPTING TO PURSUE THESE RECALLS AS THEY HAD NOT EXPERIENCED ANY FAULTY VW MISHAPS WITH TAKATA AIRBAGS. THEY SAID THAT HONDAS AND OTHER AUTOMOBILES THAT WERE EXPERIENCING THESE INCIDENTS. NO RENTAL WAS MADE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST THOUGH THEY DID SAY THAT MAY HAPPEN BUT IT WASN'T SET UP AS OF THEN.. AS A LEASEE I INFORMED THE LOCAL DEALER WHERE I PURCHASE MY VW THAT I WOULD LIKE TO TURN IN MY CAR EARLY (IT WAS DUE IN MAY) AND THAT THE CAR WAS IN MINT CONDITION AND UNDER MILEAGE. I GAVE MY REASONS TO THE GENERAL MANAGER, THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND I HAD MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO NHTSA. ALL WERE IN AGREEMENT THAT I LIVED IN A STATE WHERE PRIORITY SHOULD BE GIVEN. HOWEVER, THE ATTITUDE FROM VW WAS THAT THEY FELT NO URGENCY TO PUSH THROUGH FOR THESE RECALLS AS THEY WERE NOT LIABLE. YET. MY SAFETY WAS NOT AN ISSUE WITH VW. I AM NOW LOOKING AT A BILL FOR EARLY TURN-IN FOR $821.82 THIS INCLUDED A TINY CORNER ON A TINY WING WINDOW( THAT DOES NOT OPEN) WHERE THEIR FACTORY INSTALLED SOLAR FILM WAS INSTALLED AND STARTING TO LIFT AT ONE OF THE EDGES. I NEVER SAW THIS AND THEY NEVER SHOWED ME AT TURN IN. LASTLY, THEY INFORMED ME AT THE LOCAL AUCTION THE CAR WOULD LIKELY SELL AND THAT WAS THAT. HANDED THE KEYS OVER, NO PAPERWORK TO SIGN AND OUT THE DOOR WE WENT. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE STUNNED AT THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT THIS DEALERSHIP DISPLAYED NOT ONLY WITH REGARD TO THE RECALL BUT TO THE HANDLING OF THEIR CUSTOMERS DURING SERVICE AND THE MANY PHONE CALLS I HAVE RECEIVED SINCE ASKING IF I WANT TO PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE WHEN MY LEASE IS UP. NOT TOO MUCH COMMUNICATION GOING ON THERE AS ITS BEEN THREE MONTHS SINCE I NO LONGER HAVE A VW. NOR WILL I EVER AGAIN.
TAKATA RECALL- AIRBAG ERROR AND BOUCHER VOLKSWAGEN IS NOT HONORING THE RECALL
TAKATA RECALL BUT STILL HAS AN AIRBAG LIGHT ON WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED.
THE AIRBAG ERROR LIGHT IS ON AND IT SHOWS AN ARTICLE THAT THEIR IS A RECALL ON MY PARTICULAR CAR. THE HORN NO LONGER WORKS AND THAT IS A SAFETY RISK. THE BOUCHER VOLKSWAGEN DEALERSHIP IS NOT HONORING THE RECALL AND THE SPRING CLOCK HAS A RECALL ON IT. THEY NEED TO FIX THE ISSUE DUE TO A RECALL ON THE VOLKSWAGEN CC 2014.
TAKATA RECALL- MY VEHICLE HAS HAD A RECALL ON THE TAKATA AIRBAG COMPONENT SINCE FEBRUARY OF 2016. I JUST RECEIVED INFORMATION ABOUT THIS RECALL ON 2/20/2017 WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I SIGNED A LEASE AGREEMENT FOR THE CAR. I WANTED TO RETURN THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE DANGER IN DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THEY ADVISED ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BECAUSE OF THE RECALL. THIS AIRBAG RECALL GIVES INFORMATION REGARDING A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG COMPONENT THAT COULD POSSIBLY INJURE OR CAUSE DEATH TO THE DRIVER. I AM NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND WANT THIS FIXED. PLEASE HELP. I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT BECAUSE THIS VEHICLE IS LEASED AND THE VENDOR WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO TURN IT BACK IN BECAUSE OF THE RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL - I WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE RECALL UNTIL I WENT TO TRADE IN THE VEHICLE AND WAS ADVISED I COULDN'T. THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN BY A 17 YEAR OLD AND THE RISK OF AN ACCIDENT IS HIGHER. THIS AIRBAG IS DANGEROUS AND NO ONE ENSURES THAT VEHICLES ARE REPAIRED.
TAKATA INFLATORS...CAN YOU OR SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME INFORMATION AS TO WHEN I CAN LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING MY VEHICLE FIXED AND NOT A POTENTIAL DEATH TRAP. WITH DEER SEASON HERE ITS REALLY QUITE SCARY.

TAKATA RECALL. I WOULD LIKE TO GET RID OF THIS VEHICLE, BUT IT IS COSTING ME AN EXTRA $10,000 IN EQUITY BECAUSE OF THIS RECALL. IS THERE ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO NEGATE THIS SITUATION OR ASSIST IN GETTING RID OF THESE RECALLED VEHICLES?

TAKATA RECALL I LEASE A VW '14 CC AND RECEIVED THE RECALL LETTER IN THE MAIL IN APRIL AND VW IS YET TO HAVE A SOLUTION OR A REMEDY TO SOLVE THE AIRBAG ISSUE. BECAUSE OF THIS, I AM WANTING TO EXIT MY LEASE EARLY (LEASE IS UP IN MARCH '17). VW REFUSES TO BUY-BACK MY VEHICLE AND WILL NOT PROVIDE ME A DIFFERENT CAR TO DRIVE THAT IS SAFE WHILE THEY FIND A SOLUTION TO THE AIRBAG ISSUE. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CAR AND I FEEL IT IS VW RESPONSIBILITY TO RECTIFY THIS ISSUES AND ALLOW ME TO GET OUT FROM UNDER MY VEHICLE THAT IS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE. I HAVE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER WHO REFUSES TO PROVIDE ANY HELP OR BUY BACK ANY VEHICLES.
