I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND THE ABS CONTROL MODULE SUDDENLY QUIT WORKING. IT HASN'T STARTED WORKING AGAIN AT ALL SO IT WASN'T A FLUKE.
THE STEERING WHEEL AND IGNITION HAS LOCKED UP AND I CANNOT START MY VEHICLE , THIS HAPPENED WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED
ABS LIGHT ON AND BRAKE BLINKING RED LIGHT
ABS VW JETTA RECALL. MY 2009 VW IS CURRENTLY UNDER A SAFETY RECALL FOR ABS SYSTEM FAILURES. THE ABS SYSTEM ON MY CAR HAS IN FACT FAILED, YET THE DEALER IS REFUSING TO COMPLETE THE RECALL BECAUSE THE SYSTEM IS IN FAILURE AND THEY CLAIM THAT THE SOFTWARE CANNOT BE UPDATED TO SEE IF THE SYSTEM IS FAILING. THE DEALER INSTRUCTED ME TO REPLACE THE ABS SYSTEM IN MY CAR (AT MY OWN COST) SO THEY CAN COMPLETE THE SOFTWARE CHECK. THE ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR WAS $2900. I REFUSED AS THE PART IN QUESTION IS UNDER RECALL. THEY CLAIM THE RECALL DOES NOT COVER MY FAILED ABS SYSTEM. I BELIEVE VOLKSWAGEN IS ABDICATING THEIR SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A KNOWN PROBLEM AND FAILED PART IN THEIR CARS. IN A CURSORY REVIEW ONLINE THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS TO BE FOUND ONLINE. I HOPE THAT THE NTSB IS REVIEWING SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AND WILL COMPEL VW TO MAKE THE MECHANICAL REPAIRS TO THE ABS SYSTEMS NECESSARY, NOT JUST CHECK THE SOFTWARE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO WINN VOLKSWAGEN WOODLAND HILLS (LOCATED AT 21141 VENTURA BLVD, WOODLAND HILLS, CA 91364, (818) 884-4444) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V913000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE A SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS PERFORMED; HOWEVER, IT DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
MY DSG TRANSMISSION IS THROWING CODES 18232-PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE 3 N217 AND PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE 3 N215. TRANSMISSION REVERSE WILL STOP WORKING. HAVE TO TUN OFF CAR AND TUNR ON WILL WORK. ALSO DRIVING HIGH SPEEDS IN FREEWAY CAR BEGINS TO SLIP GEARS AND THEN SWITHES TO N. HAVE TO RY AND PULL OVER ON SIDE. TURN OFF CAR AND TURN BACK ON. CAR WILL THEN WORK IN LIMP MODE. APPAPERNETLY THIS IS A KNOW ISSUES WITH DSG TRANS BUT MY VIN IS NOT REPORTED TO TO QUALIFY?

THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO JERK, STALL, AND FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE CAM SHAFT SENSOR AND CRANK SHAFT SENSOR FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO OURISMAN VOLKSWAGEN OF BETHESDA (7001 ARLINGTON RD, BETHESDA, MD 20814, (301) 750-6100) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAM BRIDGE SPRING DISINTEGRATED AND POPPED OUT INTO THE ENGINE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER QUOTED A REPAIR COST OF OVER $5,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,084.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE OR RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE RECURRED FOUR TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V333000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
THIS CAR SKIDS OUT AND FISH TAILS WHEN APPLYING BRAKES. I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY TEENAGER DAUGHTER AND I DON'T FEEL IT'S SAFE BECAUSE THE ABS SYSTEM IS TURNED OFF BY BY A FAULTY MODULE. IT'S ALREADY BEEN IN ONE ACCIDENT.
I WAS ON SNOW AND BRAKED HARD TO TURN INTO MY DRIVEWAY, AS I WAS SLIDING A BIT. I HEARD A POP AND THE SKID, BRAKE AND ABS LIGHTS CAME ON WITH A DINGING ALARM. MY BRAKES STILL SEEMED TO WORK. I TOOK MY CAR TO HAVE IT CHECKED AND WAS TOLD BY MY MECHANIC THAT THE ABS MODULE WAS BAD ACCORDING TO HIS SCANNER. IT WAS BELOW FREEZING AT THE TIME, SO MY MECHANIC TOLD ME TO WAIT FOR THE WEATHER TO WARM UP, AND HOPEFULLY SOMETHING WAS JUST FROZEN. HE SAID THAT IT INDICATED A GROUND WIRE WAS A PROBLEM TO THE ABS MODULE AND MAYBE IT WAS JUST A MATTER OF FIXING THAT, OR THE MODULE WAS BAD. I LOOKED UP THAT THE 2009 JETTAS HAD A PROBLEM AND RECALL ON THE ABS MODULES. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, WHO UPDATED SOFTWARE, BUT SAID MINE DIDN'T QUALIFY FOR REPLACEMENT UNDER THE RECALL. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW, IF MY MODULE IS BAD AND A GROUND WIRE IS INVOLVED HOW THE RECALL IS NOT VALID.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
I HAD MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH VOLKSWAGEN DEALERSHIP TO HAVE MY CAR LOOKED AT BECAUSE OF THE RECALL. MY ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND HAS BEEN ON FOR WEEKS. IT HASN'T TURNED OFF. WHEN I TOOK MY CAR IN THEY TRIED TO PERFORM A SOFTWARE UPDATE BUT WEREN'T ABLE TO BECAUSE APPARENTLY THE MODULE WENT OUT BEFORE THE RECALL. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS UNTIL JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THAT IS POSSIBLE. NOW THEY ARE SAYING ITS TECHNICALLY MY FAULT AND NOW IM STUCK PAYING 1200 ON AN ABS MODULE AND MAINTENANCE. MY ABS LIGHT CAME ON WENT I WENT AROUND A CORNER AND SLAMMED ON MY BREAKS, EVER SINCE THEN IT WONT TURN OFF.

THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V913000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL) BUT COULD NOT COMPLETE THE RECALL DUE TO THE MODULE HAD FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT OFFER FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 124,000.
FUEL PUMP NOT SHUTTING OFF AFTER ENGINE SHUTOFF. DRAINING BATTERY. THIS HAPPENED ONE NIGHT WHILE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN MY DRIVEWAY.

ALSO, THE ABS WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. VOLKSWAGEN OF OAKLAND (2740 BROADWAY, OAKLAND, CA 94612, (510) 907-4396) DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
WHILE IN TRAFFIC I HEARD A VERY LOUD BANG AND PULLED OFF THE ROAD. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO PRIME VOLKSWAGON, 784 PORTLAND RD, SACO, MAINE. THEY REPORTED THAT THE LEFT FRONT SPRING HAD BROKEN AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. I WAS CHARGED $893.50 FOR THE REPAIR PLUS THE TOWING CHARGES. THE VW DEALERSHIP DID NOT ADVISE OF ANY SAFETY RECALLS. I ADVISED THAT I WAS CONCERNED WITH THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE AND THE REMAINING SPRINGS. TODAY I LEARNED OF A RECALL INVOLVING NEWER MODEL VW JETTAS FOR THE FAILURE OF THE REAR SPRING.
TAKATA RECALL. CAR HESITATES TO SPEED UP, ABS LIGHT COME UP SOME TIME AND GO OFF. LIGHT COVER ALL THE SIGNAL P R N D S WHEN THE GEAR LEVER IS ON DRIVE (D).
IGNITION KEY WAS HARD GETTING IT TO TURN ON FINALLY GOT IT TO TURN ON AND THEN WHEN I GOT HOME IT WOULDN'T TURN OFF TOOK ME 45 MINUTES TO FINALLY TURN IT OFF

THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE A NOTIFICATION. WHILE DRIVING, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT FAILED TO RESPOND. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A CONCRETE STRUCTURE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES, BUT THE CONTACT WAS A BIT SHAKEN UP. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A COLLISION CENTER TO INSPECT THE DAMAGES. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000.
ABS, BRAKE, SEAT BELT AND WASHER LIGHTS CAME ON AND STILL ON AT ALL TIMES
NOT ABLE TO TAKE KEY OUT OF IGNITION SWITCH. CAR IS PARKED AND STILL RUNNING NOT ABLE TO TAKE KEY OUT.
ABS MODULE RECALL I HAVE AN INCOMPLETE RECALL THAT VOLKSWAGEN IS NOT TRYING TO FIX. THEY ARE SAYING THAT THEY ARE NOT GETTING A CONNECTION TO BE ABLE TO READ THE RECALL AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO BUY THE NEW ABS MODULE SO THAT THEY COULD DO AN UPDATE ON THE NEW MODULE. WHEN IT CLEARLY STATES IN THE RECALL THAT ABS MODULES WITH AN INSUFFICIENT GROUND CONNECTION WOULD BE REPLACED. VOLKSWAGEN HAS DONE NOTHING BUT SAY THEY CAN'T GET THE CODE TO SHOW FOR THEM TO PERFORM THE RECALL. I UNDERSTAND WHY VOLKSWAGEN HAS THE MOST COMPLAINTS BECAUSE EVEN IF IT'S SOMETHING THEY ARE REQUIRED TO FIX THEY WILL TRY TO WEASEL THEIR WAY OUT OF REMEDYING THE SITUATION.
MY CAR IGNITION ARE CONTINUE FAILING ON ME. SOMETIMES IT WORKS AND SOME TIMES WAS NOT WORKING. THE KEYS GOT STUCK IN THE IGNITION. WE CAN'T TURN OFF THE ENGINE.SOME TIMES WE CAN'T TURN ON THE ENGINE. I'M AFRAID ITS A SAFETY HAZARD THAT IGNITION WILL FAIL DURING DRIVING.
THE ABS MODULE FAILED. DEALER SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR MY CAR, BUT I SEE THAT THERE WAS IN FACT A RECALL OF 2009JETTAS FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE. MY REPAIR WAS 1413.48 ON 9/11/18. THE VEHICLE WAS FINE, INSPECTED 8/10/18, ONE MONTH LATER MY 16 YEAR OLD WAS DRIVING TO SCHOOL AND THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON, THE BRAKE LIGHT WAS FLASHING, AND THERE WAS A CONSTANT BEEPING ALARM WHILE DRIVING.
2009 VW JETTA PURCHASED IN ST. PAUL, MN, ON APRIL 11, 2018. MILEAGE WAS 130,225. MILEAGE IS CURRENTLY 131,600. THE ABS SYSTEM FAILED ON AUGUST 17, 2018 - MULTIPLE CONTROL PANEL LIGHTS WERE ACTIVATED AND STILL REMAIN ACTIVATED. THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE ABS CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE ' VW CODE 45F2. 'CORRECTIVE ACTION' PORTION OF THE RECALL NOTICE: 'UPDATE THE ABS CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE WITH IMPROVED DIAGNOSTIC CAPABILITY TO DETECT INSUFFICIENT PCU GROUND CONNECTION. ABS MODULES WITH INSUFFICIENT GROUND CONNECTIONS WILL BE REPLACED.' TOOK THE CAR TO VW OF INVER GROVE HEIGHTS. THEY SAID THEY INSTALLED THE SOFTWARE UPGRADE BUT SINCE THE ABS SYSTEM HAD ALREADY FAILED THEY COULD DO NOTHING MORE WITHOUT ME PAYING TO HAVE THE ABS MODULE AND PUMP REPLACED ' APPROXIMATELY $2,300. VW CARE'S ERIC WALDOWSKI, WHO SAID HE WAS THE ASSISTANT TO THE CEO AT VW, SAID THIS TO ME: 'IN THIS CIRCUMSTANCE I WILL NOT STAND BEHIND OUR PRODUCT OR OUR ENGINEERS. WE WILL NOT REPLACE THE MODULE SINCE THE CAR WAS NOT BROUGHT IN FOR THE SOFTWARE UPDATE PRIOR TO THE FAILURE OF THE ABS SYSTEM. WE ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO REPAIR THIS ABS SYSTEM THEREFORE WE WILL NOT.' I DID NOT OWN THE CAR WHEN THE RECALL WAS SENT OUT IN MARCH, 2017. ACCORDING TO THE CARFAX I RECEIVED, THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO VW OF INVER GROVE HEIGHTS FOR "SERVICE" JULY 18, 2017 - WHILE THE RECALL WAS AVAILABLE. I BELIEVE THAT VW OF INVER GROVE HEIGHTS SHOULD HAVE FIXED THE ABS SOFTWARE ACCORDING TO THE RECALL AT THAT TIME. ERIC WALDOWSKI CALLED ME TODAY AND SAID THAT THE "SERVICE" THAT WAS COMPLETED ON JULY 18, 2017 WAS "BODY WORK" AND IT WAS SUBLET TO ANOTHER PROVIDER. THUS, VW OF INVER GROVE HEIGHTS WAS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO ALERT THE OWNER TO THE RECALL AND/OR FIX IT AT THAT TIME. MY CONTENTION IS THAT VW SHOULD HONOR THE RECALL NOTICE AND REPLACE THE ABS MODULE AT THEIR COST FOR TWO REASONS - FAILURE OF ABS AND WAS IN SHOP.
I WAS IN A SIDE IMPACT CRASH WITH THE OTHER VEHICLE GOING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH. I WAS HIT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED, MY INSURANCE ADJUSTER OPENED THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR TO ASSESS THE DAMAGE AND THE AIRBAG THEN DEPLOYED. MY INSURANCE ADJUSTER STATED THAT THE AIRBAG SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED AND IT MAY HAVE HELPED WITH THE IMPACT.
THE HEADLINER ADHESIVE FOR THE VEHICLE HAS COME UNGLUED AND IS CAUSING THE FABRIC TO SAG AND PREVENT A CLEAR LINE OF SIGHT. THIS IS A LATENT SAFETY DEFECT. FROM A REASONABLE SEARCH ON THE INTERNET IT APPEARS THAT MANY JETTA OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE, INDICATING A COMMON MANUFACTURING ISSUE. THE ADHESIVE THAT WAS USED IS THE SAME AS THE ADHESIVE USED ON THE REMAINDER OF THE INTERIOR PANELS WHICH ARE ALSO COMING OFF.
I TOOK THE CAR TO MY MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD THE IGNITER FOR THE AIR BAGS IS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE CAR ONLY HAS 35000 MILES ON IT AND THE MECHANIC FELT IT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER SOME SORT OF WARRANTY.
CLOCK SPRING FAILURE AT 49,500 MILES. RESULTED IN NO HORN AND NO STEERING WHEEL AIRBAG FUNCTIONALITY.

WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND BOTH WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AGAIN. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO ALLOW THE ENGINE TO COOL OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LITHIA VOLKSWAGEN OF RENO (7063 S VIRGINIA ST, RENO, NV 89511, (775) 800-5704) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ABS CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,767.
MY ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN MY RED BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON, A FEW DAYS LATER MY EPC LIGHT CAME ON. ABOUT A WEEK AFTER THAT THAT MY SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING AND I NOTICED THAT THE MILEAGE HAD STOPPED COUNTING. I TOOK IT TO NAPLETON'S VOLKSWAGEN SERVICE DEPARTMENT IN ORLANDO AND (SHORT VERSION) RECEIVED A QUOTE TO DO THE WORK OF OVER $1700 TO FIX THE ABS BEFORE THEY COULD EVEN TELL ME IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ABS AS THEY COULD NOT UPLOAD THE SOFTWARE FOR THE RECALL..THE PROBLEM WAS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE ABS MODULE..WHICH IN MY PAPERWORK IS DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL INFORMATION. I HAVE TOLD THEM NOT TO FIX MY CAR AS I BELIEVE THIS IS INCORRECT (MOST OF THE WORK THEY QUOTED I BELIEVE IS INCORRECT) AND WILL BE TAKING IT TO A MECHANIC I TRUST. IT ALSO OPENS THE DOOR FOR FRAUD AS IF I ALLOWED THEM TO DO THE WORK AND THEN "FIX" THE RECALL THAT WOULD SEEM LIKE THEY WOULD BE CHARGING ME AND VOLKSWAGEN FOR THE WORK. MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT HOME. I TRIED TO START MY VEHICLE; WHICH IT DID BUT ONCE I GOT TO MY DESTINATION THE KEY WOULD NOT COME OUT AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT TURN OFF. I TRIED FOR 3 HOURS TO REMOVE THE KEY. THE ONLY OPPOSTION I HAD WAS TO TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP AT NIGHT; SO THAT THE CAR WOULD BE SAFE. I TOOK THE FUSE OUT AT AND DETACHED THE BATTERY PLUG TURNING OFF THE CAR, BUT I HAD TO LEAVE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. I HAD JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE A WEEK EARLIER AND WILL HAVE TO PAY 800.00 TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED A VEHICLE NOT CUTTING OFF EVER AND THIS IS A TERRIBLE DEFECT TO ANY VOLKSWAGEN OWNER TO HAVE TO ENDURE SUCH A PROBLEM WITH A VEHICLE. I NORMALLY PURCHASE HONDA DUE TO THE DEPENDABILITY, BUT I TOLD MY HUSBAND I ALWAYS WANTED TO DRIVE A VOLKSWAGEN. IM NOW SORRY THAT I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE. THAT DEFECT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO ANYONE OWNING THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY IN HE SHOP, WHICH I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE PART TO COME FROM GERMANY. MY CAR WAS INVOLVED IN A MVA AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, ALTHOUGH THE CENSORS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED THE AIRBAG. PER MY INSURANCE CARRIER INVESTIGATOR IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED.
STARTED WITH KEY BEING VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN ON OR OFF IN IGNITION AND THE STEERING COLUMN LOCK NO LONGER ENGAGED AT ALL WHEN THE CAR WAS OFF. THEN, TWICE WITHIN 1 MILE, THE STEERING COLUMN LOCK DID ENGAGE WHILE THE CAR WAS BEING OPERATED IN A TURN AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MILES PER HOUR. AFTER PARKING THE CAR IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING, THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN TO THE OFF POSITION UNTIL THE EXPOSED END OF THE KEY WAS TAPPED WITH A HAMMER. STEERING COLUMN LOCK THEN APPEARED TO LOCK AND UNLOCK APPROPRIATELY, HOWEVER, KEY WILL NO LONGER TURN IN THE IGNITION TO THE START POSITION. CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP WHO HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM OF AN "INOPERABLE STEERING COLUMN LOCK" AND IS PERFORMING THE NEEDED REPAIR.

THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THEY HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED THIS PROBLEM; HOWEVER, I AM READING ON THE INTERNET AND IT APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH VOLKSWAGEN. UNFORTUNATELY VW WON'T ISSUE A RECALL UNLESS ENOUGH CUSTOMERS COMPLAIN.
