DSG TRANSMISSION DROPPED OUT OF GEAR (LIKE IN NEUTRAL) SEVERAL TIMES OVER PERIOD OF 1 WEEK. SPEEDS ~20MPH AND 65 MPH. REQUIRED DRIFTING TO SAFE AREA, STOPPING, AND RESTARTING CAR TO GET TRANSMISSION TO WORK. DURING FAILURE THE EP WAS ILLUMINATED, SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS DID NOTHING. VW DEALER REPROGRAMMED TRANNY BETWEEN FAILURES. HAVE BEEN USING THE SHIFT MODE FOR ~ 1WEEK WITHOUT ISSUE. SAW SEVERAL YOUTUBE VIDEOS OF SAME PROBLEM - "FALSE NEUTRAL". NUMEROUS POSTS ON TDICLUB. *TR
REAR SEAT BELT, BEHIND DRIVER, NOT WORKING. STUCK IN LOCKED POSITION. THIS SEATBELT IS USED BY A 5 YEAR OLD CHILD ON A DAILY BASIS. OTHER SIDE IS USED BY HIS 8 YEAR OLD BROTHER. SEATBELT WILL NOT PULL OUT. I TOOK IT TO VW DEALER AND THEY WANT $613 TO REPAIR IT. THEY SAID A NEW ONE IS REQUIRED AND THAT THE SEATBELT MECHANISM IS WITHIN A STEEL CASE THAT HAS EXPLOSIVES IN IT. I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR THIS AND AM STUCK WITHOUT A CAR BECAUSE I CANNOT DRIVE WITH MY CHILDREN. I HAVE PRICED THE SEATBELT OUT AT AUTO BODYSHOPS AND THE PRICE IS AROUND $425. STILL NOT MONEY I HAD READILY AVAILABLE TO DISH OUT. AFTER LOOKING INTO IT I FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH THIS MAKE AND YEAR OF VW JETTA. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS, IT IS A LIFE SAFETY ISSUE!! *TR
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR USING THE BLUETOOTH HANDS FREE CONNECTION PROVIDED BY THE STEREO HEARD A POPPING SOUND AND THEN THE STEREO WENT BLANK AND I LOST THE CALL CONNECTION. THE (REQUIRED BY OREGON LAW) HANDS FREE CONNECTION NO LONGER WORKS. THERE ARE MANY OTHER PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET REPORTING THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH THE 2010 VW RADIOS. I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK, ON A SIDE ROAD, NOT GOING MORE THAN 40 MILES AN HOUR, AND IN THE MIDDLE OF A SONG, MY RADIO MADE A LOUD "POP" NOISE AND WENT DEAD. AT THE TIME, MY CAR HAD 46K MILES ON IT, STAYS IN A A GARAGE AT HOME AND AT WORK, GETS REGULAR SERVICING AND HAS NEVER HAD AN ISSUE. THE RADIO HASN'T WORKED SINCE JUNE AND I HAVE GOTTEN NOWHERE WITH THE DEALERSHIP. I TOOK IT IN FOR AN EVALUATION THE DAY AFTER THE RADIO WENT OUT, AND THEY HAD NO SOLUTION OR REMEDY, ONLY THAT I COULD BUY A NEW RADIO AND PAY AROUND $600 FOR THE INSTALLATION. I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING THIS MATTER AND IT SEEMS A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVE SUFFERED THE SAME FATE. THE CAR POWER ISN'T THE SAME AS IT WAS BEFORE THE RADIO WENT OUT, AND I'M WORRIED THE DEAD RADIO IS AFFECTING THE BATTERY. I'M JUST NOT SURE WHAT TO DO ANYMORE, I FEEL AS THOUGH THIS ISN'T ISOLATED AND SHOULD BRING ABOUT A RECALL. *TR
VEHICLE WILL STALL GOING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE OR FROM PARK TO DRIVE. ALSO FROM WHILE ACCELERATING THERE IS SPUTTERING THAT I NEED TO RELEASE THE ACCELERATOR AND THEN APPLY AGAIN TO KEEP IT FROM STALLING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED CONTINUOUSLY AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BERGE VOLKSWAGEN (385 W BASELINE RD, GILBERT, AZ 85233, (480) 646-4858), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
I DROPPED MY 2010 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA TDI SPORTS WAGON TO MY DEALER TO HAVE A FRONT END ALIGNMENT ON MAY 30, 2014. MY CAR WENT IN WITH A PERFECTLY GOOD WORKING RADIO, I WENT TO PICK UP MY CAR ON MAY 31, 2014, THE RADIO WAS DISPLAY AND CONTROLS WERE NOT WORKING, I DID NOT LEAVE THE DEALER'S LOT. I PROMPTLY WENT BACK INSIDE TO TELL THEM THAT THE RADIO WAS NOT WORKING AND THAT I FOUND IT TO BE ODD THAT THE RADIO WAS NOT WORKING WHEN IT CAME IN WITH A PERFECTLY GOOD WORKING RADIO. THEY KEPT THE CAR AND SAID THEY WILL DO A DIAGNOSTIC TEST ON IT. WHEN THEY CALLED ME BACK THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO GET THE RADIO TO WORK FOR A SHORT TIME THEN IT WENT DEAD AGAIN. THE SERVICE PERSON PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT I NEEDED A NEW RADIO FOR $1100.00. THIS SEEMS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD THAT A RADIO WOULD FAIL AFTER 3 YRS. I AM WONDERING IF THERE HAS BEEN ANY OTHER COMPLAINTS REGARDING RADIOS IN 2010 VOLKSWAGENS? I WENT ON LINE AND THERE SEEMS TO BE COMPLAINTS, BUT WHO KNOWS IF THEY ARE VALID OR NOT. MY 2010 JETTA SPORTSWAGEN TDI DIESEL STALLED WHILE MOVING FROM A DRIVEWAY ONTO A RESIDENTIAL STREET. THERE WAS NO WARNING OF IMMINENT DISABLEMENT EXCEPT FOR A 5 SECONDS OF ENGINE "SPUTTER". THE WEATHER WAS WARM AND DRY, AND THE BATTERY HAD JUST BEEN REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TRUCKED TO THE VW DEALERSHIP IN CERRITOS CA. THE SERVICE MANAGER SEEMED TO SENSE THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM, AND THE CAR WAS INSPECTED BY A VWOA REPRESENTATIVE ON THE FOLLOWING BUSINESS DAY. METAL CONTAMINATION WAS FOUND IN THE FUEL SYSTEM. THE FUEL SYSTEM WAS REPLACED, INCLUDING THE FUEL PUMP, AFTER ONE EXTRA DAY OF WAITING FOR THE DELIVERY OF THE NECESSARY PARTS. ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, VWOA APPROVED THE REPAIR AT THEIR EXPENSE. I FEEL THAT THIS TYPE OF ABRUPT ENGINE FAILURE IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED A CRASH IF IT OCCURRED ON A MORE HEAVILY TRAVELED ROADWAY. *TR
COMPLETE FAILURE OF PREMIUM 8 AUDIO. POSSIBLY CAUSED BY INCORRECT RATING FUSES INSTALLED IN BOTH ENGINE COMPARTMENT FUSE BLOCK AND REAR OF HEAD UNIT. UNAVAILABILITY OF HANDS-FREE PHONE PHONE USE IS A SAFETY ISSUE. 1000'S OF COMPLAINTS FILED EVERYWHERE.
WHILE DRIVING TO OFFICE (6 MILES) MY RADIO "POPPED" AND STOPPED WORKING. I HAD IT INSPECTED AT THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT ALL FUSES WERE GOOD AND THAT RADIO DIED! THEY ATTEMPTED TO SELL ME A REPLACEMENT RADIO FOR $700! I STARTED RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE AND DISCOVERED THAT IT WAS TRENDING AMONG LIKE JETTAS. AFTER SPENDING A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIME WITH "CUSTOMER SERVICE" AT VW, THEY TOLD ME THAT THE RADIO WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THEY REFUSED TO TELL ME IF THIS PROBLEM WAS HAPPENING TO OTHER OWNERS. AFTER TALKING TO TWO DEALERS IN DALLAS, TX, I DISCOVERED THAT A FAULTY RADIO WAS THE CURRENT TREND IN THE 2010 VW JETTAS. THEIR SOLUTION WAS TO SELL ME A REFURBISHED RADIO TO FIX THE PROBLEM, AND NOT ADDRESS THE TRUE CAUSE OF THE COMPLAINTS! *TR
RADIO AND HANDSFREE BLUETOOTH SYSTEM STOPPED WORKING. DEALERSHIP RECOMMENDED CALLING VW CUSTOMER SERVICE. CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE ONLY TO BE TOLD NOTHING THEY COULD DO. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN REGARDING ABILITY TO USE HANDSFREE CAPABILITY. WITH VERY LITTLE RESEARCH IT APPEARS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND COMMON RESPONSE TO IT BY VW. IF THEY KNOWINGLY INSTALLED DEFECTIVE COMPONENTS THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING THINGS RIGHT. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL OTHER RECALLS ALREADY FOR THIS VEHICLE AND FEEL THIS MAY BE APPROACHING "LEMON" STATUS. *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN I ACCELERATED HARD AND I PREDNDIO LIGHT OF "GLOW PLUG" ON THE PANEL, THE CAR LOST POWER AND WAS LIMITED TO SPEND TWO THOUSAND RPM'S COMING HOME THAT WAS CLOSE. I DID NOTHING THAT NIGHT, I FOLLOWED TURNING ON THE LIGHT IN THE PANEL. THE NEXT DAY I TURN IT NORMAL, I TURNED ON THE LIGHT ... THEN IT CAUGHT ME WAY TO WORK AGAIN AND I RETURN TO MY HOME, I TURNED ON AND OFF AND IT CAUGHT AND NEVER TURN OFF. TAKE IT TO THE VW SERVICE CENTER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PUMP HAS FAULT INJECTION AND PARTICULATE THROUGHOUT THE FUEL SYSTEM. TELL ME THAT THE REPAIR WILL COST MORE THAN 4000 DOLLARS ... AND THE WORST IS THAT NO WARRANTY. *TR

I HAD TO NAVIGATE THROUGH 3 LANES OF TRAFFIC WITHOUT POWER STEERING OR POWER BRAKES TO THE BREAKDOWN LANE. I MADE IT TO THE BREAKDOWN LANE BUT ENDED UP CLOSE TO THE ROAD IN A RURAL DARK UNLIT PART OF THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR WOULD NOT RESTART AND HAD TO BE LEFT LEAVING ME STRANDED LATE AT NIGHT AND I AM DISABLED WITH DIABETES AND SEVERAL OTHER SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES. I HAD PROBLEMS CONTACTING HELP BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF NIGHT AND LACK OF CELL SERVICE IN THAT AREA. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION IT WAS FOUND THAT THE PROBLEM WITH THE CAR WAS THE FUEL PUMP EXPLODED IN THE FUEL TANK SENDING METAL THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM. I THINK IT IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DANGEROUS FOR THE FUEL PUMP TO EXPLODE IN A TANK OF FUEL WITHOUT WARNING. VW IS AWARE OF MANY THOUSAND OF THIS SAME EVENT BUT WON'T RECALL. I THINK THE NTSB SHOULD DEMAND A RECALL. I AM SURE PEOPLE HAVE DIED AND BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN SIMILAR EVENTS. COST OF REPAIR $11,000.00 OR MORE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM. I THINK IT IS UNACEPTABLE FOR THIS TO HAPPEN WITHOUT WARNING. MY DAUGHTER AND 2 FRIENDS WERE ALSO STRANDED 60 MILES AWAY IN WORCESTER MA.VW IS AWARE OF MANY THOUSAND OF THIS SAME EVENT BUT WON'T RECALL. I THINK THE NTSB SHOULD DEMAND A RECALL. I AM SURE PEOPLE HAVE DIED AND BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN SIMILAR EVENTS. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER COMPLAINT ABOUT THE 2010 JETTA PREMIUM RADIO THAT DIED FOR NO REASON. I CONTACTED VOLKSWAGEN OF AMERICA AND THEY ACTED LIKE THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THE ISSUE, BUT CLEARLY AFTER DOING 2 MINUTES WORTH OF RESEARCH THERE ARE COUNTLESS OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. VOLKSWAGEN TOLD ME THAT MY CAR IS GETTING OLD SO THEY WON'T HELP ME. I WILL BE SURE TO NEVER BUY ANOTHER VW. OTHER ELECTRICAL ISSUES I HAVE ARE. 1. FACTORY RADIO STOPPED WORKING SUDDENLY. NO INDICATION OF A PROBLEM PREVIOUSLY. REPAIR REQUIRED REPLACEMENT OF HEAD UNIT AT AN EXPENSE OF $600 PLUS LABOR (FACTORY REFURBISHED). HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM LIKE THIS WITH PREVIOUSLY OWNED VEHICLES, SEVERAL OF WHICH ARE 15+ YEARS IN AGE. TRIED TO CONTACT VOLKSWAGEN USA, BUT TWO EMAILS HAVE GONE UNANSWERED. A QUICK INTERNET SEARCH INDICATES THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT, AS SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. AS THE RADIO IS TIED TO THE BLUETOOTH IN THE CAR, HANDS FREE PHONE OPERATION IS COMPROMISED WITHOUT FACTORY RADIO WORKING. HANDS FREE PHONE USE IS REQUIRED IN NEIGHBORING STATE OF MD THROUGH WHICH MY TRAVELS TAKE ME OFTEN. *TR
I HAD WHAT APPEARS TO BE A FUEL SYSTEM FAILURE. I WAS TURNING LEFT AFTER STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT. I WAS TRAVELING AT @20 MPH. 100 YARDS DOWN THE BLOCK, THE ENGINE LOST POWER, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, AS DID THE DIESEL COIL ICON. THE CAR WAS DEAD INSTANTLY. THERE WAS NO WARNING, NO GRADUAL FAILURE, NO TIME TO GET OUT OF THE STREET. PLEASE NOTE, I HAD MY VEHICLE REGULARLY SERVICED AT THE VW DEALERSHIP, INCLUDING INSTALLING THE FUEL INTAKE COUPLING THAT WAS THE SUBJECT OF A RECALL ABOUT A YEAR AGO. THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THERE WAS SOME BAD DIESEL GOING AROUND IN THE COUNTY WHERE I LIVE, BUT WHEN PRESSED ADMITTED THE BAD FUEL HAD NOT BEEN TRACED TO ANY PARTICULAR BRAND, BUT HAD APPEARED RANDOMLY. HE DID SAY THAT MY ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM WOULD BE REPLACED ON VW'S DIME, EVEN THOUGH I AM LONG OUT OF WARRANTY, AND THAT IT COULD TAKE 2 DAYS TO A WEEK TO PERFORM THE SERVICE. THERE IS NOTHING ON VW'S WEBSITE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, NOR ARE THERE REPORTS OF BAD DIESEL FUEL IN THE COUNTY. THE BLOGOSPHERE HAS REPORTS OF PROBLEMS IN THE DESIGN OF THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP THAT CAUSES IT TO BREAK DOWN AND SHED BITS OF METAL THROUGHOUT THE FUEL SYSTEM. I AM VERY LUCKY THAT THIS HAPPENED AT 20 MPH ON A TOWN STREET IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MORNING AND NOT AT 65 MPH ON A HIGHWAY WITH LOTS OF TRAFFIC. I AM GLAD VW IS COVERING THE COST OF REPAIRS. BUT I HAVE PERSONALLY RECOMMENDED THIS OTHERWISE TERRIFIC CAR TO MANY PEOPLE, SOME OF WHOM HAVE CHOSEN TO BUY IT. I AM NOW WORRIED THAT SOMEONE MIGHT GET DEAD BECAUSE OF THIS, ESPECIALLY SINCE VW IS EVIDENTLY ONLY CORRECTING THIS DESIGN PROBLEM AFTER AN ENTIRE SYSTEM FAILURE. I AM ALSO UNABLE TO CONFIRM THAT VW ENGINEERS HAVE REDESIGNED THE FUEL PUMP THAT THEY ARE IN THEORY INSTALLING IN MY CAR AS A REPAIR. DO YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION? *TR
HEARD A SMALL POP SOUND WHILE LISTENING TO THE RADIO AND THE SYSTEM WENT DEAD. CALLED VWOA AND THEY WOULD NOT OPEN A CLAIM. THIS IS THE SECOND RADIO AS THE ORIGINAL FAILED UNDER WARRANTY AND WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALER IN 2012. I WAS TOLD THE REPLACEMENT RADIO, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS REPLACED WITH AN OE RADIO, ONLY CARRIED A 12 MONTH WARRANTY WHILE THE ORIGINAL CARRIED THE FULL 36,000 THREE YEAR WARRANTY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE DID RESTART AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS, HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE DID NOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 50 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE NUMBER TWO FUEL INJECTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 11V490000( FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL). THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED AND THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
DRIVING ON 2ND LANE OF FREEWAY. SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER - ALL WARNING LIGHTS COME ON DASHBOARD ACCOMPANIED BY BELLS AND DINGS. PULLED OVER TO SIDE OF ROAD - FORTUNATELY TRAFFIC NOT HEAVY. ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING HOWEVER NO FORWARD MOVEMENT WHEN PUSHING ACCELERATOR PEDAL - ENGINE JUST REVVED. TURNED CAR OFF THEN RESTARTED. WARNING LIGHTS STILL FLASHED BUT WAS ABLE TO PUT CAR INTO DRIVE AND START ROLLING - VEHICLE WAS IN "LIMP" MODE HOWEVER AND WOULD NOT GO OVER 10 MPH. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AS MORNING TRAFFIC WAS HEAVY AND AGGRESSIVE. MANAGED TO GET VEHICLE TO SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. IT APPEARS THAT THIS ISSUE IS COMMON TO THIS MODEL OF VW RADIO SO MUCH SO THAT VW HAS A "RADIO EXCHANGE PROGRAM" WHERE THEY SELL YOU A REFURBISHED MODEL FOR HALF THE PRICE OF A NEW ONE SOMEWHERE BETWEEN $600-$1000 ACCORDING TO THE VW DEALERSHIP. *TR

FUEL WAS TESTED AND FOUND NO FAULT OF DRIVER (I.E., NO GAS). FAULTY FUEL PUMP. FEBRUARY 2014 - 97K MILES - SECOND FUEL PUMP FAILURE. SAME ISSUE, METAL SHARDS THROUGH ENTIRE SYSTEM, ALL HAD TO BE REPLACED. COST OVER $8,000 PAID FOR BY VW. FUEL TESTED AGAIN AND NO FAULT OF DRIVER. WHILE DRIVING MY 2010 VW JETTA TDI AT 45 MPH THE GLOW PLUG LIGHT BEGAN TO FLASH WITH NO WARNING AND ENGINE POWER BECAME DRAMATICALLY REDUCED. I WAS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN SPEED ON A BUSY ROADWAY AND WAS FORCED TO MAKE AN ABRUPT EXIT FROM THE ROAD TO AVOID CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. USING BACK ROADS WITH LOW SPEED LIMITS I WAS ABLE TO REACH A VOLKSWAGEN DEALERSHIP. AFTER ARRIVING THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE RESTARTED. AFTER 3 DAYS OF INSPECTION IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP HAD FAILED AND THE METAL SHAVINGS FROM THE FAILED PUMP CONTAMINATED THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM AND CLOGGED IT WITH RUST. EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, VOLKSWAGEN OF AMERICA COVERED THE COST OF THE REPAIR WHICH ENTAILED REPLACING THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED ME THAT THIS WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE TYPE OF HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP INSTALLED ON MY CAR WHICH IS WHY VWOA WAS COVERING THE REPAIR EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THERE WAS NO RECALL. GIVEN THE HIGH POTENTIAL FOR INJURY WHEN THIS KNOWN FAULT OCCURS, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY ALL VEHICLES (WHICH INCLUDE ALL 2010+ AUDI AND VW TDI ENGINES) THAT FEATURE THIS FAULTY FUEL PUMP HAVE NOT BEEN SUBJECT TO A RECALL TO HAVE THE PROBLEM REPAIRED. *TR
THE RADIO JUST SHUT OFF, CHECKED ALL FUSES, EVERYTHING OK. TOOK TO MECHANIC AND SAID RADIO NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE ELECTRICAL RADIO SYSTEM FOR THE RADIO DISPLAY TOUCH SCREEN RADIO. THREE YEAR OLD CAR SHOULD NOT HAVE RADIO FAILURE. *JS
THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED IN THE RAIN FOR APPROXIMATELY 90 MINUTES. I STARTED THE CAR AND DROVE SLOWLY THROUGH THE PARKING LOT. THE ENGINE STOPPED WITHOUT WARNING AND REQUIRED THAT THE CAR BE BROUGHT TO A FULL STOP AND THE IGNITION TURNED OFF BEFORE THE CAR COULD BE STARTED. THE CAR RAN FINE AFTER BEING RESTARTED. THIS IS THE 6TH INCIDENT OF THIS KIND THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED. *TR
