MY 8 MONTH OLD BMW 335 FAILS ON ME WHILE DRIVING IN THE FREEWAY WITH MY 7 YEAR OLD SON AT 1130PM. ENGINE MALFUNCTION. TOWED IT TO THE DEALER -IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP. THEY APPARENTLY REPLACED IT ..THE NEXT DAY I GOT IT BACK LATE AFTERNOON. DRIVING IT BACK HOME AFTER 60 MILES. IT DID IT AGAIN. APPARENTLY IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO' S HAVING PROBLEM..THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ..IT JUST STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WITH A VEHICLE THAT'S ONLY 8 MONTH OLD....HOPE YOU WILL ADDRESS THIS. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 328I. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAS AN ELECTRONIC INTERIOR LATCH ASSEMBLY THAT DOES NOT ALLOW PASSENGERS TO MANUALLY OPEN THE DOORS. WHILE PASSENGERS WERE OCCUPYING THE VEHICLE, THERE WAS AN EXPERIENCED AN ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE THAT CAUSED THE LATCH ASSEMBLY TO FAIL. AS A RESULT, THE PASSENGERS COULD NOT EXIT THE VEHICLE. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND A TECHNICIAN REPAIRED THE OPEN CIRCUIT IN THE FUSE BOX. HE NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER AND IS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 12,000. EXCESSIVE ROAD NOISE AND ABNORMAL (PREMATURE) WEAR OF BRIDGESTONE-FIRESTONE TURANZA EL42 RUN FLAT TIRES 205/55R16. EXCESSIVE ROAD NOISE STARTED BEFORE 10,000 MILES AND ALL TIRES HAD TO BE REPLACED AFTER ONLY 1 YEAR (APPROX 14,000 MILES). CAR WAS A 2007 BMW 328I. BMW HAS A SERVICE BULLETIN (SI B 36 06 06) REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND IS REPLACING ALL TIRES (UPON COMPLAINT) IF < 10,000 MILES. IF TIRES HAVE BETWEEN 10,001 TO 20,000 MILES, REPLACEMENT IS AT 50%. TIRES WERE "CUPPING" AND DEMONSTRATING VERY ABNORMAL WEAR PATTERNS. UPON COMPLAINT TO BRIDGESTONE FIRESTONE, THEY AGREED TO 100% REPLACEMENT COSTS. OLD TIRES ARE NOT AVAILABLE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 328I. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT WEBBING WOULD RETRACT AND EXCESSIVELY TIGHTEN ON ITS OWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN WHAT PART WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,500. UPDATED 7/1/15*CN
I DRIVE A BMW 335I AND THE FUEL PUMP FAILED. INDICATIONS WERE LONG CRANK TIMES, ENGINE STALLING WHILE DRIVING, AND SHUTTERING WHILE DRIVING. I KNOW OF MANY OTHER BMW'S WITH THE TWIN TURBO ENGINE THAT HAVE/HAD THIS PROBLEM. BMW NEEDS TO COMPLETELY REDESIGN THE FUEL PUMP SO SERIOUS INCIDENTS DO NOT OCCUR WHILE DRIVING. *TR
INITIALLY, CAR WAS SLOW TO START AFTER PRESSING START BUTTON. IMMEDIATELY EXPERIENCED NOTICEABLE DECREASE IN POWER. CAR WAS NOT RESPONSIVE AT ALL WHENEVER I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE. EXHAUST NOTE BEGAN TO SOUND LIKE THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE MUFFLER. AFTER 1 OR 2 DAYS, A YELLOW SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED IN DASHBOARD DISPLAY. AFTERWARDS CAR FELT LIKE IT WOULD STALL OUT UNLESS I DEPRESSED PEDAL TO KEEP RPMS UP. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I WAS TOLD WHEN I PICKED UP THE CAR THAT THE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO A COMPUTER PROGRAM FAILURE. ON MY WAY HOME AFTER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING I RETURNED THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THE SERVICE ADVISOR THAT MY CAR WAS NOT FIXED AND THAT I WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME CAR SUBSTANDARD PERFORMANCE. AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS I WAS CALLED AND TOLD THE PROBLEM WAS THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP. THE CAR IS TILL AT THE DEALERSHIP AS THE PART HAS NOT ARRIVED AT THE DEALERSHIP YET. *TR
I HAVE A 4 OEM BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RUN FLAT TIRES (RFT) I CURRENTLY HAVE MY REAR PASSENGER TIRE BUBBLING ON THE OUTSIDE WALL. I HAVE NO RIM DAMAGE AND HAVE ONLY 8K MILES ON MY VEHICLE. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEY DO NOT COVER THIS TYPE OF DEFECT. 1. HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP ISSUE ON MAY 21ST LED TO THE CAR STALLING WHILE DRIVING AND TURNING. ALSO PUT THE CAR IN "LIMP MODE" (REDUCED POWER). ALSO, RUN-FLAT TIRES ON THE CAR HAVE ALL BUBBLED/POPPED- HAVE HAD CAR ONLY FOR 5 MONTHS WITH 6800 MILES. 2. CAR STALLED NUMEROUS TIMES WHILE DRIVING AND WOULD STALL ALMOST EVERY TIME WHEN CAR WAS STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT. BEFORE BRINGING THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE THREE DAYS LATER THE CAR STALLED AT LEAST 5 TIMES- BMW REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP YESTERDAY. *TR
2007 335I WENT SUDDENLY INTO A LIMP MODE WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY ROAD. CAR BEHIND ME ALMOST REAR-ENDED ME DUE TO THE SUDDEN SLOW DOWN. I WAS ABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR AND DRIVE INTO A PARKING LOT. THE CAR HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME MY FUEL PUMP HAD FAILED. THEY HAVE PROMISED TO GET IT REPAIRED IN COUPLE OF DAYS. MY CAR JUST HAD 6000 MILES AND IT IS NOT EVEN A YEAR OLD. I SAW ON THE INTERNET THAT LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM SINCE WAY BACK FROM 2006. MY CARS HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP HAS FAILED (2 SEPARATE TIMES) IN HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC, ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENTS. CAR IS A BMW 335I 2007. *TR
APRIL 2007 BUILD BMW 335I COUPE STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD DUE TO FAILURE OF HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP. AFTER TAKING IT TO A BMW DEALER, IT WAS REPLACED AND PROBLEM APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN SOLVED IN MY CAR. HOWEVER, I DO BELIEVE THAT THIS ISSUE IS RELATIVELY COMMON AMONG 335I OWNERS AND IS VERY MUCH A SAFETY ISSUE. A CAR WITH THIS PROBLEM IS PRONE TO STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING AND THAT COULD BE A VERY DANGEROUS SCENARIO. IN MY CASE, BMW WAS VERY GOOD ABOUT REPLACING THE PART. BUT I THINK FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE, THEY MAY NOT KNOW THAT THIS POTENTIAL PROBLEM IS LURKING IN THEIR CAR. THERE HAVE BEEN A LARGE NUMBER OF OWNERS ON THE BMW ENTHUSIAST FORUMS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM. *TR

FUEL PUMP ON 07 BMW 335 FAILED WHILE MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN. IMMEDIATE LOSS OF POWER ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. CAR TOWED TO DEALER. WAITING FOR PARTS. THIS HAS BECOME A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS. *TR
DROVE CAR NORMALLY - NO EXTRAORDINARY EVENT LEADING UP TO ISSUE. CAR THREW ENGINE ERROR AND RAN UNDER FORCED 'LIMP' MODE. TOOK TO DEALER - THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP. *TR
FUEL PUMP COMPLETELY FAILED; CAR UNDRIVABLE, WOULD START AND THEN STALL 5-10 SECONDS LATER. INITIAL STALL OCCURRED PULLING OUT OF A DRIVEWAY ONTO A HIGHWAY. BMW TOWED THE CAR TO CLOSEST DEALERSHIP & DIAGNOSED AS HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP FAILURE. PUMP REPLACED, CAR OUT OF SERVICE FOR ~5 DAYS DURING REPAIR. OCCURRED WITH ~18K MILES ON VEHICLE. MULTIPLE ONLINE REPORTS OF OTHER 335I VEHICLES WITH IDENTICAL PROBLEMS - THIS REQUIRES A SAFETY RECALL. *TR
BMW 335 SUFFERS FROM A FAULTY HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WHICH CAUSES THE CAR TO STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING OR EXHIBIT LOSS OF POWER. THIS CAN BE FATAL ESPECIALLY IF ON FREEWAYS, CAR STALLS IN MIDDLE OF DRIVING, AND THE DRIVER BEHIND COLLIDES AT HIGH SPEED. *TR PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE AND HAVE BMW RECALL THE FAULTY PUMPS AND ISSUE FIXED VERSIONS. *TR
FIRST NOTICED A BURNING SMELL -- THOUGHT IT MAY BE PLASTIC OR RUBBER. PULLED OFF OF THE HIGHWAY NEAR TAMPA TO A LOCAL GAS STATION. LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD, NOTICED NOTHING. THEN NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE SPACE WHERE THE REAR WINDOW ROLLS UP, ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. SMELLED LIKE BURNING RUBBER OR PLASTIC. CALLED BMW ASSIST, WAS TOLD TO GET A TOW TO THE NEAREST DEALER. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR, CALLED TO BMW TO TALK WITH A SERVICE TECHNICIAN -- DESCRIBED THE PROBLEM TO THE TECHNICIAN AND ASKED IF I COULD DRIVE THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. SERVICE ADVISOR INDICATED THAT GIVEN THE SMOKE, WOULD ADVISE AGAINST DRIVING THE CAR. CAR TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AND INSPECTED BY DEALER THE FOLLOWING MORNING. DEALER ADVISED THAT THE "DASH REFLECTED MESSAGE OF PINCH PROTECTION MALFUNCTION. JBE MODULE CAUSED FAILURE OF BOTH REAR WINDOW MOTORS, INTERROGATE FAULT MEMORY. FOUND FAULTS IN JBE, A6D9, A6DA, A6D8, A6DB. COMPLETED TEST PLAN FOR THESE FAULTS. PER TEST PLAN REPLACE JBE. SWAPPED IN JBE FROM KNOWN GOOD VEHICLE." ESSENTIALLY, THE DEALER REPLACED THE EXISTING SOFTWARE IN THE CAR WITH THE SOFTWARE FROM A CAR KNOWN TO HAVE GOOD SOFTWARE. DEALER FOUND BOTH WINDOW MOTORS "BURNED" AND REPLACED BOTH WINDOW ROLL-UP MOTORS. DEALER COMPLETED VEHICLE PROGRAMMING INCLUDING "CAS". COMPLETE CAR ENCODING. *TR
I CURRENTLY OWN A 2007 BMW 335I SEDAN THAT WAS PURCHASED APRIL 2007. A YEAR LATER I WENT INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR MY FIRST SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE (OIL CHANGE) AND ALSO REPORTED TO THE SERVICE ADVISOR THAT IT TOOK LONGER CRANKS OR MULTIPLE CRANKS TO START THE ENGINE. AFTER SOME DIAGNOSTICS RAN ON THE ENGINE, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WAS FAILING AND ABOUT TO FAIL SOON. THE DEALERSHIP DECIDED TO REPLACE THE FAILING PUMP. FORTUNATELY I DIDN'T HAVE TO EXPERIENCE WITH ANY DRAMATIC OR CATASTROPHIC EVENTS WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THOUGH THERE WERE SOME OTHER OWNERS OF THE SIMILAR VEHICLE HAD EXPERIENCE NEAR-ACCIDENT SITUATIONS. NONETHELESS, THE FUEL PUMP SHOWED SIGNS OF FAILING AND I'M JUST HAPPENED TO BRING THE CAR IN TIME TO REPLACE IT. *TR
I HAVE 5,500 MILES ON MY BRAND NEW BMW 335I, AND THE FUEL PUMP FAILED ON ME. LUCKILY, THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE MY CAR WAS AT MY HOME, AS OPPOSED TO ON THE ROAD/FREEWAY, WHICH COULD HAVE CAUSED ME TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. IT'S NOW BEEN 5 DAYS THAT MY CAR HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP, AND INSTEAD OF IMMEDIATELY REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP UNDER WARRANTY, THE CORPORATION IS REQUIRING THE DEALERSHIP TO RUN A BUNCH OF TESTS ON MY CAR, AND TO BASICALLY GET RID OF THE FAULT CODES WITHOUT REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 335S WHICH BMW NORTH AMERICA REFUSES TO ISSUE RECALLS FOR. THE ISSUE IS WIDELY DISCUSSED ON WWW.BIMMERPOST.COM. *TR
MY 2007 328I HAS BEEN IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES (THAT I HAVE PAPERWORK ON, IT MIGHT BE MORE). I HAVE HAD MAJOR MECHANICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE MOST RECENT BEING ELECTRICAL. MY KEY WILL NOT OPEN ANY OF THE DOORS, I HAVE TO USE THE VALET KEY TO GET INSIDE. ONCE I GET INSIDE THE BUTTON ON THE DASH THAT OPENS AND LOCKS THE DOORS WAS UNRESPONSIVE AS WELL. WHEN THIS STARTED THE DRIVERS SIDE MIRROR ALSO BECAME UNRESPONSIVE AND WOULD NOT ADJUST, I CAN'T ADJUST IT TO SEE THE ROAD AND HAVE ALMOST BEEN IN 2 ACCIDENTS. THE SAME DAY THE AIR CONDITIONING, WHICH I HAD SET ON 60, TURNED ITSELF TO 84 BLOWING FULL BLAST. THAT IS ACTUALLY THE SECOND TIME THIS YEAR THAT THE AIR CONDITIONING HAS AUTOMATICALLY TURNED TO THE HEATER. SHORT LIST OF OTHER ISSUES: RECURRENT BREAK SQUEAKING, OIL SENSOR AND ENGINE HARNESS WIRES BREAKING, AND PROBLEMS ACCELERATING. THE COMPUTER SOFTWARE MALFUNCTIONED AS WELL (ANOTHER ELECTRICAL ISSUE WHICH WAS CAUSING THE CAR TO MALFUNCTION). AFTER THE BRAKE PADS & SENSORS WERE REPLACED, THE BRAKES SOUND THE SAME TO THIS DAY, HORRIBLY SQUEAKY ALMOST GRINDING. THE FRONT DRIVER & PASSENGER WINDOWS HAVE A MYSTERIOUS ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION. THEY WILL CEASE TO GO UP OR DOWN. I HOLD THE WINDOW BUTTON IN THE "UP" POSITION, THE WINDOW WILL ROLL UP AN INCH THEN STOP. I WILL HAVE TO DO THIS SEVERAL MORE TIMES BEFORE THE WINDOW WILL GO UP OR DOWN. MY CAR GOES IN AGAIN TOMORROW AM. THIS TIME I EVEN MENTIONED THAT IF I DID HAVE PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE AND WE HAD GOTTEN IN AN ACCIDENT, OR WORSE YET THE CAR CATCHES ON FIRE, MY PASSENGERS WOULD BE TRAPPED. THE SERVICE ADVISOR DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE. I CAN'T DRIVE MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY ANYWHERE FOR FEAR THEY WILL BE STUCK IN THE VEHICLE IF AN ACCIDENT OCCURRED. AS WELL, I'M NOT GOING TO ASK MY PARENTS, WHO ARE IN THEIR 50'S, TO CRAWL THROUGH A WINDOW TO GET IN OR OUT OF MY VEHICLE. MY CAR HAS BEEN OUT OF COMMISSION FOR ME AT LEAST 30 DAYS SINCE I'VE OWNED IT. *TR
THE CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM FAILED AND ONLY THE DRIVER DOOR COULD BE OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. MY WIFE WAS TRAVELING WITH MY NEWBORN BABY IN THE BACK SEAT AND COULD NOT GET OUTSIDE THE CAR, BECAUSE THE REMAINING (THREE) DOORS COULD NOT BE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE NEITHER FROM THE CAR'S OUTSIDE HANDLES. I REACH FOR MY NEWBORN BABY BOY FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND MY WIFE HAD TO EXIT THROUGH THE REAR WINDOW, BECAUSE SHE COULD NOT MAKE IT THROUGH THE CENTER CONSOLE. THIS HAD HAPPENED TWICE DURING LAST MONTH, AND COULD BE WORSE IF AN ELDERLY PERSON OR HANDICAP PERSON COULD NOT EXIT THROUGH THE REAR WINDOW. AND IT COULD GET MUCH WORSE WITH HEAVY SUN AND YOU HAVE TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE BECAUSE THE FUEL DOOR ALSO GETS LOCKED, SO THE CAR CANNOT BE REFUELED. THIS LOCKING SYSTEM IS A VERY BAD DESIGN BECAUSE IF IT FAILS, THE MECHANICAL LEVERS GETS DISCONNECTED AND NOBODY CAN OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE CAR'S INSIDE HANDLES NEITHER OUTSIDES. *TR
THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP ON MY '08 BMW 335I FAILED. I AM REPORTING THIS BECAUSE OF THE HIGH INCIDENCE OF FAILURES OF THE FUEL PUMP ON THIS VEHICLE. NO ONE WAS INJURED BUT IF THE PUMP HAD FAILED WHILE DRIVING IT COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. *TR
2007 BMW 335I -HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP FAILURE- CAR IS ON ITS FOURTH PUMP (ORIGINAL PLUS THREE REPLACEMENTS) IN LESS THAN THREE YEARS AND 30,000 MILES. FIRST FAILURE AFTER 8 MONTHS AND 7,300 MILES. FIRST FAILURE WAS ON HIGHWAY 66 BETWEEN ARLINGTON AND MCLEAN VIRGINIA AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. HAS SUBSEQUENTLY FAILED AT 25 MONTHS AND 20,900 MILES AND AGAIN AT 35 MONTHS AND 29,200 MILES. *TR
THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP MALFUNCTIONED WHILE MERGING INTO TRAFFIC ON A FREEWAY ON-RAMP, RESULTING IN A NEAR REAR- END COLLISION AS THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SLOWED DUE TO THE MALFUNCTION. THIS IS A WELL KNOWN DEFECT IN THIS VEHICLE FOR WHICH PRODUCTION CONTINUED, KNOWING FULL WELL THE POTENTIAL FOR EVENTUAL MALFUNCTION, WITHOUT DISCLOSURE TO THE PURCHASER. *TR

BMW HAS A TSB TO "BLEED" THE VEHICLE. BMW IS AWARE THIS WILL NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. BMW NEEDS TO REPLACE THE CYLINDER HEAD TO FIX THE DEFECT. BMW HAS REDESIGNED THE 2009 CYLINDER HEAD TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. DOOR LOCK MALFUNCTIONING. ALL 4 DOORS ON MY 2007 BMW 335I WON'T OPEN USING THE KEY REMOTE NOR THE CENTRAL LOCK SYSTEM. 2007 BMW E92 335I HAD FUEL PUMP REPLACED DUE TO CAR GOING INTO LIMP MODE. CAR HAD FUEL PUMP REPLACED. DRIVING ON SIX-LANE HIGHWAY 101 NORTH OF SAN FRANCISCO, CROWDED HIGHWAY, THE CAR WENT INTO LIMP MODE AND STALLED IN THE FAST LANE. ON 12/15/07 I PULLED ONTO THE HIGHWAY FROM THE DIRT MEDIAN. THE CAR ENGINE LOST POWER AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO A VIRTUAL STOP ON THE HIGHWAY WITH HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC QUICKLY APPROACHING. I WAS PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR BUT NO POWER WAS BEING APPLIED TO THE WHEELS AND ENGINE RPM DID NOT INCREASE. THIS LASTED FOR MANY SECONDS. I HAD TIME TO CONFIRM I WAS STILL IN FIRST GEAR. I THEN DEPRESSED THE CLUTCH, REVVED THE ENGINE TO HIGH RPM AND TOOK OFF IN SECOND GEAR. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 335I. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE SPORADICALLY FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART IMMEDIATELY. THE FAILURE RECURRED SO HE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER. A TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE: DELIVERY: FUEL PUMP WAS THE POSSIBLE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY BEING REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
AUTO MANUFACTURES ARE BEGINNING TO INSTALL LED TAIL LIGHTS WITH REFRESH RATES THAT CAUSE ME TO SEE SIGNIFICANT FLICKER (STROBE EFFECT) AT NIGHT. IT MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE WHEN I AM BEHIND ONE OF THESE CARS. MY FEAR IS THAT THE ROADS WILL BE FILLED WITH THESE CARS IN A FEW YEARS, AND THE DISTRACTIONS WILL BE TOO INTENSE TO DRIVE. THE CARS THAT HAVE THE MOST SIGNIFICANT EFFECT SEEM TO BE CADILLAC'S, INFINITIES, AND BMWS. THE CLUTCH DISC WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE SAME SMELL AND TOXIC FUMES HAVE CAUSED THE CONTACT TO HAVE PERMANENT LUNG PROBLEMS. THE FAILURE WAS REPAIRED AT 3,100 MILES AND RECURRED IN JULY 2008. I PURCHASED A 2007 BMW 328I ON 2/22/2007. IT CAME EQUIPPED WITH BRIDGESTONE TURANZA EL42. IN DECEMBER OF 2007, I FOUND OUT THAT THESE TIRES ARE NOT WEARING PROPERLY. IN MY SEARCHES ON THE INTERNET, I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS. BMW REFUSES TO PAY FOR REPLACING ALL THE TIRES IF YOU ARE OVER 10K MILES. MY TIRES ARE WEARING HORRIBLY AND CAUSING A SAFETY RISK. BMW KNEW OF THIS PROBLEM IN JANUARY 2007 WHEN THEY ISSUED A SERVICE INFO BULLETIN TO ALL THE DEALERS. HOWEVER, THEY DID NOT INFORM THE OWNERS AND THEY ACTUALLY SOLD MY CAR TO ME WITHOUT MENTIONING THE PROBLEMS THEY ARE HAVING WITH THE TIRES. NO TIRES SHOULD WEAR OUT AFTER 10K MILES. I ACTUALLY TOOK THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE IN EARLY SEPT TO HAVE A TIRE REPLACED AND NO ONE STILL MENTIONED THE SIB TO ME. MY HUSBAND FOUND A COPY OF IT ON THE INTERNET AND IT BASICALLY SAYS, DON'T REPLACE THESE UNLESS THE CUSTOMER COMPLAINS. HOWEVER, ITS DIFFICULT TO DETECT THE UNEVEN TREAD WEAR UNTIL THERE ARE HUGE FLAT SPOTS ON YOUR TIRES. THIS IS SO REMINISCENT OF THE FIRESTONE/FORD DEBACLE AND I FEEL THAT BMW IS PLAYING THE ODDS TO KEEP FROM HAVING TO HELP FUND A HUGE RECALL. THE PART KNOWN AS THE FRICTION PAD. THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WERE MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THE TRANSMISSION FAILING AND SMOKE WISPING OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONSUMER STATED HE INHALED THAT MATERIAL IN ITS SMOKE FORM, NOT ITS DUST FORM. HE WAS ALSO TOLD, THE SLAVE MASTER CYLINDER'S FLUID ALSO PRODUCED ADDITIONAL SMOKE. NEW BMW 3 SERIES SPORTS WAGON SELF-ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO THE FAMILY'S GARAGE. MINUTES BEFORE THE CRASH, THE CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN AS IT WAS BEING DRIVEN ONTO THE DRIVEWAY OF THE HOUSE, WHICH IS PERPENDICULAR TO THE ROAD. SOON AFTER THE CAR THE GARAGE DOOR LIFTED WITH THE STEERING WHEEL IN A TURN POSITION (ONTO THE DRIVEWAY), THE CAR STARTED TO MOVE AS THROUGH IT WAS ACCELERATING ON ITS OWN AND QUICKLY CRASHED INTO THE GARAGE. IT ONLY STOPPED FROM THE IMPACT OF HITTING AND BREAKING A STRUCTURAL HOUSE COLUMN AND A PILE OF SHEETROCK IN THE GARAGE. THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING, WHEN IT STOPPED. THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEM ON MY 2007 BMW 335 FAILED AT SPEED ON THE EXPRESSWAY CAUSING ME TO LOSE POWER AND BE FORCED TO PULL ONTO THE SHOULDER AND CALL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. *TR
THE DOOR LOCKS FAILED TO UNLOCK (WITH BOTH THE REMOTE ENTRY AND THE DOOR LOCK SWITCH LOCATED IN THE CAR) WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR. THIS RESULTED IN ALL PASSENGERS (INCLUDING SMALL CHILDREN) TO HAVE TO EXIT THE CAR THROUGH THE DRIVER'S DOOR. IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY THIS COULD CAUSE SAFETY ISSUES FOR ALL OCCUPANTS. THIS WAS REPAIRED BY INCREASING THE SIZE OF THE FUSE (TO A 20 AMP FROM A 15 AMP). AFTER RESEARCH, THIS APPEARS TO BE JUST A TEMPORARY FIX. I AM CONCERNED WITH THE SAFETY ISSUES THIS COULD CAUSE FOR OTHER FAMILIES. *TR

THE CAR RAN LIKE COMPLETE GARBAGE AND WOULD SHAKE FERVENTLY WHILE IDLING. NOW, I HAVE A 2008 BMW 335I AND AFTER ABOUT 4800 MILES, 2 SPARK PLUGS AND 2 IGNITION COILS HAD TO BE REPLACED. I AM ABSOLUTELY FUMID PAYING THIS MUCH FOR A VEHICLE THAT HAS ZERO RELIABILITY. THIS CAR ALSO SHAKES RATHER ROUGHLY AT IDLE AND MAKES ME QUESTION THE INTEGRITY OF THE MANUFACTURER'S FUELING SYSTEM. *TR

WHEN THE FUSES BLOW, THE VEHICLE LOCKS COMPLETELY AND THE PASSENGER CANNOT EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE UNIT WAS REPLACED AND WORKED FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME BEFORE THE FAILURE RECURRED. ENTERING A FREEWAY ON RAMP DURING A TURN, THE CAR'S FUEL SYSTEM FAILED AND CAUSED THE CAR TO 'SHUTTER' (SAME FEELING AS SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A STICK SHIFT). THIS CAUSED THE CAR TO LOSE CONTROL AND FLIP OVER AFTER HITTING A DITCH. THE CAR HAS ALREADY HAD TWO FUEL PUMPS REPLACED AND BMW KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. SO FAR, BMW DOES NOT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR INABILITY TO FIX THIS KNOWN 335I PROBLEM. THERE ARE ALREADY 11 COMPLAINTS (NOT INCLUDING THIS ONE) REGARDING THE ISSUE ON THIS WEBSITE.
