THE FAILURE RECURRED ON FIVE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIADGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
AFTER STARTING CAR, WHILE IT WAS STILL DARK, I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND THE FRONT LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING. THEY WERE INITIALLY ON. I IMMEDIATELY CHANGED TO ANOTHER CAR FOR TRANSPORTATION. I LATER TESTED THE HEADLIGHTS TO FIND THAT THE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS WORK, BUT THE NORMAL BEAM DOES NOT.

TRAPPED INSIDE OF 2006 LACROSSE WITH A DOOR LOCK THAT WOULD NOT OPEN. DEALER COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM NOR FIX IT. GM EXECUTIVE OFFICES CLAIM THE DOOR LOCK IS A WEAR ITEM. IT IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A DOOR LOCK TO TRAP A PERSON INSIDE A CAR THAT HAS 83,000 MILES AND 9 YEARS OLD. ENOUGH SUCH OCCURRENCES ARE DISCUSSED ON VARIOUS SITES ON THE INTERNET. THIS COMBINED WITH A FAULTY PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG SENSOR AND EXECUTIVE MANAGAMENT'S LACK OF CONCERN IS ENOUGH TO STAY AWAY FROM ALL GM PRODUCTS.

MY HUSBAND HAD HAD A BLOOD TRANSFUSION AT THE HOSPITAL AND IT WAS AFTER WHEN WE STARTED TO LEAVE, I WENT TO THE PARKING LOT AND GOT THE CAR TO PICK HIM UP. IT WAS AFTER DARK AND MY LIGHTS WOULD NOT COME ON WHEN I TRIED TO TURN THEM AS I USUALLY DID AFTER DARK. I DROVE TO THE ER DISCHARGE DOOR WITH NO LIGHTS. WHILE BEING ASSISTED BY A YOUNG MAN ALSO THERE, WE FOUND WE COULD NOT USE ANYTHING BUT HIGH BEAMS. TO ME, THIS IS DANGEROUS, BUT WE DO NOT USE THE CAR MUCH AT NIGHT, WE HAVE DEALT WITH IT SO FAR, BUT HATE USING IT THIS WAY. I HAVE SEEN THAT OTHER PEOPLE, ONLINE, HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.

I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE A YEAR AGO WITH 66,100 MILES. ONE PREVIOUS OWNER. THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. IT'S STILL INOPERABLE. I DO NOT KNOW WHEN THE DOOR STOPPED WORKING, JUST THAT IT WAS PRIOR TO 66,100 MILES. IT HAS MADE THE VEHICLE UN-SAFE TO EXIT FROM THE REAR SEAT WHEN PARKED STREET-SIDE.
I HAVE A 2006 LACROSSE WITH 28,000 MILES - THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH THAT WAS REPAIRED A FEW MONTHS EARLIER; THEN THERE WAS A WHINING NOISE WITH THE STEERING - HAD TO HAVE THE STEERING GEAR REPLACED; AT THE SAME TIME, THE MODULE/COIL WENT BAD. *TR
I HAD TO BE TO WORK BY 6:00 AM ON THE DATE OF THE INCIDENT. I ENTERED MY VEHICLE AT 5:30 TO LEAVE AND DISCOVERED UPON IGNITION THAT THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMPS WERE OUT OF SERVICE. AFTER CHECKING THE FUSES UNDER THE HOOD AND FINDING NO ISSUES, I WAS FORCED TO MAKE MY 20 MINUTE/9 MILE DRIVE USING THE HIGH BEAMS FOR VISIBILITY (WITH NO DAYLIGHT). SERVICE ANTI THEFT STARTING DISABLED INTO BUICK SERVICE DEPT 5 TIMES EVEN AFTER NEW ANTI THEFT MODULE AND BCM REPLACED STILL WILL NOT START GM AND BUICK DEALER NO HELP. *TR
LOW BEAM LIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT. WE REPLACED THE BULBS ON THE DRIVER SIDE SEVERAL TIMES IT WOULD WORK FOR 1 HOUR TO 2 MONTHS THEN IT WOULD GO OUT AGAIN. NOW I HAVE NO LOW BEAM LIGHTS AT ALL. REPLACED THE DIMMER SWITCH AND IT DID NOT HELP.
