Vehicle transmission shift cable failed. This part is considered recalled, but GM is refusing to fix.
Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2014 Cadillac ATS. The contact discovered a mileage discrepancy after the purchase of the vehicle. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 83,000. It was later discovered that the mileage on the Title was 128,555.
The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac ATS. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, the "Power Steering Fault Drive with Care" message was displayed on the instrument panel and the vehicle became difficult to maneuver. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The contact researched and was became aware of an undisclosed recall; however, the VIN was not included. A dealer was not contacted, and the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 172,000.
My airbag system light has been on now for over two years. My exact vehicle the prior year and after has had a recalled and mine has been missed. GMC wants 2000.00 to replace my airbag situation and my car only has 66000 miles on it for god sakes. Please have my model vin on recall list so my passengers will be safe. This is the second time I have emailed you and no response was given yet. Please recall my airbags.
I was driving the car and trying to put the car in park at the stop light. The car shifter moved, but the shifter wasn't going into any other gear. The shifter moves forward and back, but nothing happens. I almost got in an accident and my dad had to help me park the car. I saw this is a past recall issue and I called Cadillac and they stated I needed to tow my vehicle there and there are no open recalls, so it will be out of pocket. They can't even see my car until the 31st at the soonest. I could've been seriously injured or injured someone else.
After routine maintenance (oil change) at Cadillac of Knoxville on 5/7/2024, I was notified that my rear differential was leaking. After I arrived back home, upon further research, I found that this was a common problem for this make and model of car and that there was a recall for Cadillac ATS' manufactured between 2013-2016. After calling GM's customer service line, the representative expressed that my VIN did not register under the specific recall and therefore would not qualify for a replacement rear differential. This is a problem in which can total my vehicle, though no problems besides the leak have occurred as of my knowledge. There was no indication before the oil change on 5/7 of a leak, no warning lamps or other telling signs. If I had not brought my vehicle for its routine maintenance, I would not be aware of the situation.
My engine RPM would randomly lock to 4000 rpms while driving, i could rev the car or apply the brakes but it will sit their until it decides to respond. This has happened a few times and mostly down hill and flats. Difficult to replicate. Cooling system has been a plague at around 80k miles i've had to replace a clamp at the back near the water outlet flange which i was quoted $2000 for just the labor alone as the engine would need to be removed.And the water pump failed at around 82000 miles. Also plagued with P06DE "Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit Stuck On" error code a few times now.
What are the cooling hoses that carry coolant from the engine to the radiator busted not once but twice. It has many electrical problems even when cleared with an OBD2 sensor they will still come on. The power steering is completely off and malfunctions.
My airbag is defective and other vin numbers on my make and model and year were recalled and mine hasn’t and doesn’t work. Light still remains on. I have low mileage on my car too. Please do a recall on my airbag for my vin. I also have replaced my Cue system twice already . My model vin hasn’t been recalled for that either. I should be reimbursed for having to keep on replacing it.
Rear differential issue
Differential keeps going out
My ball joints on both sides were completely gone, my struts have given out repaired all at the same time, because of those things going out it completely ruined my tires to where they squeak down the road. Both differentials are leaking and my transmission shutters, I also had to replace my water pump that was leaking cooling everywhere
Power Steering locks up when trying to turn under 20 mph. Have found other safety recalls through GM for the same issue on the 2014 ATS and have contacted a dealer but they have stated it is not for my VIN #. Has happened multiple times before and the local dealer said nothing could be done because they could not duplicate. I had called another GM dealer and they sent me a safety recall bulletin pertaining to the issue.

The car just blew out the airbags and the steering locked up
The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac ATS equipped with Bridgestone Tires, Tire Line: DriveGuard Plus, Tire Size: 225/40/R18, Dot Number: EJ17CMM0922. The contact stated that while attempting to change a flat tire on rear passenger’s side of the vehicle he noticed cracks on the tire. The contact inspected the other three tires and noticed the same cracks. The contact stated that all four tires where replaced. The dealer was contacted and a claim was filed. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact back to the retail store. The failure mileage for the vehicle was 170,000. The tire failure mileage was 2,500.
The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac ATS. The contact stated that the vehicle hesitated while attempting to accelerate. There was a howling sound coming from the driver’s side of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the rear differential failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle not been repaired due to the part being on backorder. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle was inoperable. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac ATS. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH on the highway the transmission was shifting irregularly and the vehicle started to decelerate. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The contact was able to pull off to the side of the roadway and waited 10-15 minutes before restarting the vehicle. The contact was able to drive safely to an independent mechanic however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact notified the manufacturer of the failure. The failure mileage was 105,396.

The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac ATS. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the gear shifter was engaged but the vehicle failed to respond. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission shift cable had detached, and the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V338000 (Power Train). The dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that her VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 122,000.

STARTED MY CAR ONE DAY AND THE CUE SCREEN WAS BLACK AND UNRESPONSIVE. I DO NOT HAVE ANY FEATURES NEEDED TO FEEL SAFE IN MY CAR (BACK UP SCREEN, RADIO, BLUETOOTH, NAVIGATION, AIR CONDITIONING, TEMPERATURE CONTROL, ETC.)
WHITE HAZY WEB LIKE OBSTRUCTION SUDDENLY APPEARED ON THE DISPLAY OF THE CUE SYSTEM. IT OBSTRUCTS 35% OF THE SCREEN AND MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO UTILIZE THE BACK UP CAMERA. IT WAS FINE ONE DAY AND THEN THE OBSTRUCTION APPEARED THE NEXT DAY. IT IS GARAGE STORED AND I HAVE 44,000 ORIGINAL MILES.
Cur screen shows spider webbing can't see rear view camera when backing out.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A WARRANTY PLACED ON THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED AUGUST 2020. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED A VOUCHER TOWARD THE COST OF REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 24,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V338000 (POWER TRAIN) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. AS I WAS DRIVING MY SCREEN WENT BLANK WHILE I WAS USING MY NAVIGATION SYSTEM TO GET AROUND AND ENDED UP BEING LOST AND HAD TO STOP AND ASK FOR DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO GET BACK HOME. THE CUE SYSTEM WENT DOWN.

THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V338000 (POWER TRAIN) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL WAS CLOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 75,000.
CAR FAILURE MULTIPLE TIMES WHEN STOPPED. CAR SHUTS DOWN WHEN STOPPING AT STOPLIGHTS STOPSIGNS. RPM'S FALL TO ZERO, THEN CAR SHUTS DOWN. SOMETIMES IT WILL SHUDDER BEFORE SHUTTING DOWN. TL* THE CONTACT OWED A 2014 CADILLAC ATS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS GIRLFRIEND WAS DRIVING 55 MPH AND HE WAS SITTING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, SMOKE WAS SEEN COMING FROM THE HOOD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, THE VEHICLE OCCUPANTS WERE ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE SAFELY BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOTAL LOT AS IT WAS DESTROYED BY THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURE WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 68,500.
THE CUE SYSTEM BECAME UNRESPONSIVE ABOUT 5 MONTHS AGO AND WILL RANDOMLY CHANGE MY RADIO STATIONS. TODAY THE FILM UNDER THE TOUCHSCREEN LOOKS CRACKED LIKE IT IS SPIDER WEBBING. THIS IS THE SECOND CUE SYSTEM IN MY CAR SINCE I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW. THE FIRST ONE FAILED AFTER 2 YEARS AND WAS COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY. THIS SECOND ONE STOPPED WORKING AFTER TWO YEARS AS WELL. IT IS SAD THAT THEY PUT A PRODUCT IN A $56,000 CAR THAT CANNOT LAST LONGER THAN 2 YEARS. *TR
THE VEHICLE SHAKES WHILE IDLING,HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. THE DEALER SHIP VERIFIED THAT THERE IS ENGINE VIBRATION DUE TO DEFECT IN ENGINE MOTOR MOUNTS. ITS VERY SCARY FEELING. FEELS LIKE THE ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF.
MY CADILLAC ATS CUE SCREEN OR TOUCH SCREEN HAS CRACKED FOR THE SECOND TIME. GM NEEDS TO FIX THIS POOR QUALITY GLASS/ADHESIVE. IF THE CAR GETS HOT OR COLD THE SCREEN CAN NOT HANDLE THE TEMP CHANGES. MY CAR WAS STATIONARY AND OVERNIGHT THE CUE SCREEN CRACKED. IT IS A GARBAGE PRODUCT. *TR
54,189 MILES ON CAR CURRENTLY. SINCE JUNE OF 2019 MY CAR/ENGINE WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AT A RED LIGHT, OR A COMING TO A STOP SIGN (BASICALLY COMPLETELY STOPPED OR COMING TO A STOP). ITS EVEN SHUT OFF WHILE IN REVERSE. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE GEAR IS STILL IN DRIVE. SO I THEN HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK,PRESS THE BRAKE AND START IT AGAIN. IT SPUTTERS TO START AGAIN, BUT IT STARTS. ITS GETTING MORE FREQUENT, WITH IT STOPPING UP TO 3 TIMES AT ONE STOP LIGHT, AND THEN HAVING TO RESTART IT AGAIN. THERE ARE NO CODES ON THE DASH. IVE BROUGHT MY CAR INTO CREST CADILLAC MULTIPLE TIMES TO TRY AND DIAGNOSE THIS ISSUE. THEY CANNOT FIND THE ROOT CAUSE, AND IT STILL HAPPENING MOST RECENTLY TODAY! THERE IS A NEW BATTERY, ALTERNATOR TESTING IN GOOD CONDITION. THEY HAVE TESTED THE BATTERY CABLES/LINES. THIS IS INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING. MY CAR HAS STOPPED ON ME WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE AND TURN INTO A LANE AND I WAS ALMOST HIT BC MY ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. I ALSO CALLED GM AND WAS TOLD WITHOUT A DIAGNOSIS THEY CANT HELP. REAR LEFT/REAR RIGHT AXLE SEALS LEAKING REPORTED TO ME ON 06/01/2020 WHILE 2014 ATS WAS IN FOR SERVICE FOR TIRES AND COOLANT LEAK MILEAGE 71,538. I WAS ADVISED IT'S A VERY SLOW DRIP AND IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF RIGHT AWAY BUT TO KEEP AN EYE ON IT VEBALLY OVER THE PHONE. I LOOKED BACK ON MY SERVICE RECORDS AND THE LEAK WAS DETECTED ON 03/20/2020 BY THE DEALER BUT R.0 CLOSURE DATE IS NOTED AS 03/18/2020 I WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF A CRITICAL REPAIR NEEDED ON THE DRIVE AXLE (REAR DIFFERENTIAL LEAK) ODOMETER ON 03/18/2020 59,750. THE SEALS SHOULD NOT BE BREAKING AT THIS MILEAGE... THIS SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. IT'S A MASSIVE ISSUE WITH THE CADILLAC ATS. THIS IS GOING TO COST AROUND $1500.00 TO FIX NOW... WHICH IS OBSURD. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO DRIVE THE CAR LIKE THIS AS PER MANY ONLINE REPORTS THAT I'VE READ ONLINE.
CUESCREEN CUE PROBLEMS INCLUDE 'SPIDER WEBBING,' UNRESPONSIVE SCREENS, DOES NOT WORK
AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON,AND CONTINUES TO REMAIN AS SUCH.VEHICLE SERVICE LIGHT TEST WAS COMPLETED.
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY APPROXIMATELY 70MPH. VEHICLE SUDDENLY BUCKED TWICE, A FEW SECONDS LATER A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED AND REDUCED POWER APPEARED IN THE MESSAGE CENTER. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SLOW ITS SPEED. I HAD THREE MILES UNTIL NEXT OFF RAMP. VEHICLE CONTINUED TO SLOW AS I GOT IT OFF HE HIGHWAY. ONCE OFF THE HIGHWAY I PULLED OVER AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. I NOTICED FUEL GAUGE WAS READING EMPTY, BEFORE PROBLEM WAS APPROX. 1/4 TANK. VEHICLE KNOW HAD A HEAVY FUEL SMELL. I HAD VEHICLE TOWED HOME. THE FOLLOWING DAY I INVESTIGATED THE PROBLEM. ( I AM A PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC WITH OVER 30 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. ) THE FUEL GAUGE READ EMPTY AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. I ADDED APPROX. 1 GALLON OF FUEL AND TRIED TO START THE VEHICLE. GASOLINE IMMEDIATELY POURED FROM A FUEL LINE AT THE REAR OF THE ENGINE. I REMOVED THE ENGINE COVER AND NOTICED THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WAS LOOSE FROM THE ENGINE. I CHECKED THE SUPPLY FUEL LINE AND IT WAS VERY LOOSE OR BROKEN. REALIZING DAMAGE WAS COMPREHENSIVE AND SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY I TOWED CAR TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THE DEALERSHIP WAS VERY UNCOOPERATIVE AND CHARGED ME FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A BROKEN FUEL LINE. I ASKED THE DEALERSHIP TO INVESTIGATE WHY THE PUMP CAME LOOSE FROM THE CYLINDER HEAD. THEY SAID IT JUST HAPPENS AND IT WAS RETORQUED TO FACTORY SPECS. THAT VEHICLE WAS NOT TEST DRIVEN AFTER REPAIRS WERE MADE, I WAS TOLD IT WAS BUT IT HAD NO GAS REGISTERING ON THE GAUGE AND THE MILEAGE HAD NOT CHANGED FROM TIME OF DROP OFF. I PICKED UP VEHICLE FROM DEALERSHIP, PUT A HALF A TANK OF FUEL IN VEHICLE AT THE CLOSEST FUEL STATION AND DROVE IT HOME CAUTIOUSLY. I WILL NOT BE DRIVING VEHICLE AGAIN UNTIL I GET MORE ANSWERS. I BELIEVE A SERIOUS FIRE IS POSSIBLE IF THE FUEL LINE BREAKS AGAIN VERY LUCKY IT DID NOT HAPPEN THE FIRST TIME BECAUSE OF THE FUEL PUMP COMING LOOSE FROM THE ENGINE.
CAR WAS PARKED IN PARKING SPOT/LOT OF HEB. STARTED ENGINE AND GEAR SHIFT LEVER WAS SHIFTING W/OUT PRESSING THE BRAKE WHILE REMAINING IN PARK. THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. CALLED TOW TRUCK. TOW TRUCK DRIVER WAS ABLE TO PUT CAR IN DRIVE TO DRIVE IT TO PEP BOYS, A MECHANIC NEARBY. AFTER 5 DAYS, PEP BOYS STATED IT WAS A RECALL, HOWEVER MY VIN NO. IS NOT ASSOCIATED W/ANY RECALL PER CADILLAC. TOWED IT TO CADILLAC AND THEY STATED THAT THE PROBLEM IS THE CABLE THAT IS CONNECTED TO YOUR TRANSMISSION OR SHIFT LEVER GOT DETACHED. FURTHER THEY STATED THAT THIS PARTICULAR PART IS NOT COVERED UNDER MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. IT APPEARS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE AND IT IS SIMILAR TO THE GM RECALL NO. 14179. *JS
CUE SCREEN STOPPED WORKING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CADILLAC ATS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TOUCH SCREEN FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH DELAWARE CADILLAC (1606 PENNSYLVANIA AVE, WILMINGTON, DE 19806) WHERE THEY OFFERED HER NO ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR, BUT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REPAIR WAS NOT GUARANTEED TO FIX THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
CUE DASHBOARD CONSOLE SCREEN KEEPS CRACKING AND BECOMING INOPERABLE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN 4 YEARS. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY, THIS SECOND TIME IT IS NOT.

THE CONTACT APPLIED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, EXITED THE VEHICLE, LOOKED UNDERNEATH, AND NOTICED THAT THE BUSHING CABLE WAS DETACHED, WHICH WAS CONNECTED TO THE TRANSMISSION LEVER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
DASH CONTROL UNIT STOP WORKING AND OVER HEATER
MY CADILLAC QUE SYSTEM IS COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE AND DELAMINATED. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 2014 CADILLAC ATS. THE SCREEN ON THE QUE HAS BEEN COMPLETELY FROZEN AND DELAMINATED FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW AND I AM UNABLE TO USE ANY FEATURES WITH MY QUEUE. THIS HAPPENS IF THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION OR AT A STOP THE QUEUE IS JUST GONE.
THE CAR EMITS A STRONG MOLD MILDEW SMELL COMING INTO THE CABIN FROM THE VENTS :( I HAVE CHANGED THE CABIN FILTER AND IT IS NOT BETTER
THE CUE INFORTAINMENT SYSTEM IS FAULTY. BESIDES CONTROLLING THE RADIO FUNCTIONS, IT CONTROLS THE BLUETOOTH AND AC SETTINGS. THE SCREEN FREEZES ALL THE TIME AND BLUETOOTH IS DROPPING OR PAUSING THE CALLS CREATING SAFETY HAZARDS WHILE DRIVING. IN GEORGIA IS ILLEGAL TO TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING BUT BECAUSE THIS FAULT IN THE CUE SCREEN A CADILLAC OWNER HAS TO TOUCH THE PHONE TO UNBLOCK OR UNMUTE THE CALL. IT IS A VERY KNOWN DEFECT ON MULTIPLE CADILLAC VEHICLES, CADILLAC IS AWARE OF IT BUT REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING TO FIX IT
