While sitting at a friend's house on a hill my brakes went completely out once I hit them they went to the floor and we eended up hitting a tree stump that saved us from going off a steep cliff to possibly hurting each and everyone of us in the car.
WHEN ACTIVATING THE RESUME SWITCH TO A SET SPEED OF 65MPH, THE SWITCH STICKS IN THE RESUME/ACCELERATION POSITION, RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE ACCELERATING PAST THE SET SPEED, TOO SPEEDS GREATER 85 MPH, PRIOR TO DISENGAGING THE CRUISE CONTROL. THIS HAS OCCURRED THREE DIFFERENT TIMES OVER THE PAST FIVE OR SIX YEARS. THE CONDITION WAS INTENTIONALLY INDUCED ON ONE OCCASION. *TR
I ORIGANALLY TOOK CAR IN FOR BAD EGINE IN WHICH POTAMKIN DEALER IN MANHATTAN REPLACED WITH A BRAND NEW ONE. THIS WAS IN JUNE OF 2014 AND I HAD TO TAKE IT BACK ABOUT 4 TO 5 DIFFERENT TIMES FOR ISSUES WITH THE ENGINE AND THAT CAUSE PROBLEMS TO THE TRANSMISSION. THERES TOO MUCH PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR TO EVEN EXPLAIN IN DETAIL AND THE CAR HAS BEEN THERE OVER A YEAR IN AND OUT.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN PULLING INTO HIS DRIVEWAY, THE ENGINE BEGAN IDLE EXCESSIVELY. ALTHOUGH HE PRESSED THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE STILL ACCELERATED, CAUSING HIM TO CRASH INTO HIS GARAGE. THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS THAT WOULD ALLUDE TO THE FAILURE OR WHY IT WOULD OCCUR. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED TO-DATE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT SPOKEN WITH NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER TO-DATE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 72,218.
2004 CADILLAC SRX-V6 BRAKES BECAME INOPERATIVE RESULTING IN A COLLISION. *MR THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THE VEHICLE COLLIDED INTO THE BACK OF A P-2 PICKUP. THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL THEN STRUCK THE CURB AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUED NORTHBOUND. *SC *JB
WHILE PARKING THE VEHICLE IN A PARKING LOT WITH HER FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE COMMENCES TO ACCELERATE AND LURCH FORWARD. CONDITIONS FORCE THE VEHICLE OVER A GUARD RAIL THROUGH A FENCE BEFORE STOPPING. THE CONSUMER AND HER UNBORN BABY WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE LOCAL HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. *NM
