TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS AT NIGHT, THE HEADLIGHTS MALFUNCTIONED. SUTTLE CADILLAC (12525 JEFFERSON AVENUE, NEWPORT NEWS, VIRGINIA 23602) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REPLACED THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS TWICE, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.
WHILE DRIVING OR IN PARK AT NIGHT, UNABLE TO SEE SAFELY WITH LOW BEAMS ON--MUST DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAMS ON. THERE IS EXCESSIVE MOISTURE INSIDE OF HEADLIGHT WHICH IS SUPPOSEDLY SEALED. PAID $700 TO HAVE ONE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY REPLACED WITH ORIGINAL (NOT AFTERMARKET) TWO YEARS AGO AND THE SEAL IS CLEARLY BROKE. HAVE ALSO TRIED REPLACING BULBS. AFTER READING OF THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS IN CALIFORNIA AND FLORIDA, I CONTACTED CADILLAC TO SEE IF THEY WOULD REPLACE MY HEAD LIVES. BECAUSE I AM OUT OF WARRANTY, THEY WERE ON WILLING TO WORK WITH ME, EVEN THOUGH THIS IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE. WHILE DRIVING WITH LOW BEAMS ON, ONE CANNOT EVEN SEE THE CENTER OR SIDE LINES OF THE ROAD YOU ARE DRIVING.
MOISTURE BUILDUP IN FRONT HEADLIGHTS CAUSED BULBS TO SHORT OUT AND NOW NOT WORKING ON LOW BEAM. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN HAPPEN QUITE OFTEN ON THIS PART OF THE CADILLAC SRX. WENT TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT REPLACED AND SINCE OUT OF WARRANTY IT WAS GOING TO BE ~ $2K. RIDICULOUS!
YOU CANNOT SEE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT WITH THE LOW BEAMS ON. THEY ARE VERY VERY DIM AND ARE AN EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD.
MY WIFE AND I WERE RETURNING HOME FROM AN PATRIOTIC CONCERT WHEN WE LOSS THE HEADLIGHT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND THE CHECK LEFT LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT WARNING DISPLAYED IN THE DRIVER'S INFORMATION DISPLAY. WHEN WE GOT HOME I NOTICED THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY HAD MOISTURE IN IT AND THE LIGHT WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEAL FOR REPAIRS. I WAS TOLD THE LIGHT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT I MAY WANT TO REPLACE THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY BECAUSE MOISTURE IN THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND THE LIGHT COULD FAIL AGAIN IF THE ASSEMBLY ISN'T REPLACED. I ASKED IF THE PROBLEM WAS A KNOW ISSUE; THE SERVICE MANAGER SAY IT HAPPENS EVERY SO OFTEN. I TOLD HER TO ORDER THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY. WHEN I GOT HOME I GOOGLED THE PROBLEM. IT APPEARS THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM ON THE SRX THAT GOES BACK TO 2010 SRXS. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE THE POSSIBILITY OF LOSING BOTH HEADS IN AN INOPPORTUNE TIME AND CADILLAC SHOULD ADDRESS THE ISSUE IMMEDIATELY. 95 PROBLEMS REPORTED; NO DEATHS YET.
HEADLIGHT DIM MODE IS AS IF THE HEADLIGHTS ARE NOT EVEN ON, IT IS DANGEROUS IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT AND ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS IN THE RAIN AT NIGHT.ALSO FRONT END SUSPENSION IN COLD WEATHER OR WHEN TURNING TO THE RIGHT CAUSES TIRE TO RUB ON THE FENDER WELL. IT HAS DONE THIS SINCE I DROVE IT OFF THE CAR LOT. AM AWARE OF SERVICE BULLETIN, BUT THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS EITHER, AS THERE IS NO ADJUSTMENT FOR THE CAMBER. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN CADILLAC AND GMS OBVIOUS GREED INSTEAD OF ITS SAFETY CONCERNS. SAD! HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL DIE BEFORE THIS IS ADMITTED BY GM AND ACTUALLY ADDRESSED AND RESOLVED.
2012 CADILLAC SRX HID HEADLIGHTS HAVE SEEMED TO BURN OUT WITH NO FIRTHER ISSUES. ON HIGH BEAM THE LIGHTS ARE FINE BUT ON REGULAR BEAM AT NIGHT I CANNOT SEE AHEAD OF ME RECENTLY AND IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND CADILLAC SOMESNT SEEM TO BELIEVE THIS IS A DEFECT ISSUE BUT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS. HOWEVER IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING AFTER SPEAKING WITH OTHER CERTIFIED MECHANICS THAT HID'S DO NOT JUST BURN OUT SO THERE HAS TO BE OTHER ISSUES THAT MAY NEED TO BE ADDRESSED BY THE MAKER. ALSO AT INTERIMS AFTER I TRY TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE WILL STALL WHICH CAUSES ME TO HAVE TO REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE GAS AND TRY AGAIN. AFTER BRINGING THIS TO THE DEALERS ATTENTION I WAS TOLD IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE COMPUTER TRYING TO KEEP UP AND THIS IS WHAT MAY CREATE THIS ISSUE WHICH IS DEFINITELY POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING AND DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED
The contact owns a 2012 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the headlights became inoperable without warning. The contact stated that the hi-beam was activated which caused a distraction to oncoming drivers. The contact had taken to the vehicle to a dealer where the headlight assemblies were adjusted however, the adjustment failed to correct the failure. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
LOW BEAMS DO NOT ILLUMINATE ROAD, ESPECIALLY BAD IN RAIN AND ON OPEN ROAD OUTSIDE OF CITY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO OIL IN THE VEHICLE AFTER HAVING REPLACED THE OIL SEVEN WEEKS PRIOR. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,000.
VEHICLE LOW BEAM/DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATION DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO SEE THE ROAD AT NIGHT MAKING IT A SEVERE SAFETY HAZARD.
I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY HEADLIGHTS FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS.MY HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM I HAVE REPLACED THE LOW BEAM BULBS 4TIMES. IT'S COST ME 100.00 EVERY TIME. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP MORE THAN ONCE AND THEY SAID IT NEEDS NEW HEADLIGHTS, THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY. I CAN'T AFFORD IT. IT'S BECAUSE OF MOISTURE INSIDE THE HEADLIGHT GLASS. WELL AFTER COMPLAINING FOR 3 YEARS I FINALLY GOT A LETTER IN THE MAIL SAYING IT'S NOT A RECALL BUT DUE TO MOISTURE INSIDE THE HEADLIGHTS THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED AND THEY WILL REIMBURSE ME UP TO 800.00 FOR GETTING THEM FIXED. AND IT'S FOR 2010-2015 CADILLAC SRX. I'M ON DISABILITY AND I CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY FOR THEM AND WORRY ABOUT GETTING MY MONEY BACK. I CAN'T GO ANYWHERE AT NIGHT BECAUSE I ONLY HAVE BRIGHT LIGHTS AND I'VE HAD A FENDER BENDER 1TIME AND ALMOST HAD SEVERAL WRECKS BECAUSE THE OTHER CAR COULDN'T SEE ME. I'M IN DANGER EVERY TIME I HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE AT NIGHT. WHY IS IT NOT A RECALL?AND HOW CAN I GET THEM FIXED.? I CAN'T GET ANYBODY TO HELP ME. WHILE TURNING INTO A PARKING SPACE MY CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED CRASHING HEAD ON INTO THE VEHICLE PARKED IN THE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF MY CAR DRIVING THAT CAR BACK APPROXIMATELY 20 FEET. MY CAR CONTINUED ON FOR APPROXIMATELY ANOTHER 40 FEET AFTER THAT IMPACT BEFORE I BRAKED HARD TO A STOP. *TR
LOW BEAM HEADLAMPS ARE DISFUNCTIONAL. THEY ARE SO DIM, YOU CANNOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT WITHOUT THE AIDE OF THE HIGH BEAM HEADLAMPS.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM THAT AT NIGHT WHEN ON YOU CANNOT SEE THE ROAD OR ANYTHING IN FRONT OF THE CAR.
THE HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM I'M UNABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR AT NIGHT. THERE IS PRACTICALLY NO DIM HEADLIGHTS. WHEN I DRIVE AT NIGHT I MUST HAVE THE LIGHTS ON BRIGHT. I LIVE IN A AREA WITH A VERY HEAVY POPULATION OF DEER, ON TWO OCCASIONS I HAVE VERY NARROWLY MISSED THE DEER RUNNING OUT IN FRONT OF MY CAR. I HAD THE HEADLIGHTS REPLACED AND IT HAS NOT HELPED. THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS CONDENSATION IN THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY CAUSING THE PROBLEM. ALL THE REPORTS I HAVE READ SAY THE PROBLEMS STILL EXIST AFTER THE ASSEMBLY IS REPLACED BECAUSE THEY USE THE SAME DEFECTIVE ASSEMBLY. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM, IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED IF SOMETHING IS NOT DONE. IF THEY DON'T REPLACE AND CORRECT THIS VERY BAD PROBLEM I WILL NEVER INVEST IN ANOTHER CADILLAC.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE DRIVE APPROXIMATELY 30-40 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A GUARDRAIL AND TELEPHONE POLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTO BODY SHOP, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V571000 (SUSPENSION), BUT WAS STILL HAVING ISSUES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS AT NIGHT, IT BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE WITH THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR A STATE SAFETY INSPECTION. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS WERE FUNCTIONING NORMALLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL DEALER. THE DEALER DID NOT INSPECT THE VEHICLE, BUT STATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO REPAIR THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT SYSTEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. ..UPDATED 06/14/17 *BF *AS
AFTER DRIVING MY CAR WITHOUT ANY ISSUES FOR 3 YEARS, THE LOW BEAMS BECAME INCREASINGLY DIM. I HAD REPLACED THEM NUMEROUS TIMES, TAKEN IT TO NUMEROUS CADILLAC GARAGES/ DEALERS, REPLACED THE BATTERY ETC, WITH NO SOLUTION. I RESEARCHED THAT THE 2010 MODEL SRXS WERE RECALLED DUE TO HEADLIGHTS. I AM STILL CURRENTLY HAVING ISSUES WITH CADILLAC TELLING ME "THIS IS NORMAL FOR AN SRX"

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (SOUTHERN CHEVROLET IN ALEXANDRIA, LA) WHO WAS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY A FAILURE, BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACTED STATED THAT THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO EXIST AND BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE OVER TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY HAS CONDENSATION AND THE LOW BEAM LIGHT IS BARELY VISIBLE AT NIGHT THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD

VEHICLE HAS EXTREMELY POOR LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS DESPITE REPLACING WITH NEW BULBS. THE CAR IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT TIME.
HEADLIGHTS ON REGULAR SETTING ARE HORRIBLE AND ALMOST NO VISIBILITY IS PROVIDED. MUST BE USED ON HIGH BEAM TO HAVE SAFE DRIVING VISIBILITY, BUT THIS IS RISKY TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND MY SAFETY.

APPROXIMATELY 3 YEARS AGO I SPOKE WITH MY CADILLAC DEALER REGARDING THE HEAD LIGHTS. THEY CHECKED THE CAR AND SAID THEY WERE FINE. THE LIGHTS ARE SO DIM AT NIGHT THAT IT APPEARS YOU DO NO HAVE LIGHTS ON. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED PUTTING LED LIGHTS IN, THAT DID NOT HELP. I REPLACED THE ORIGINAL BULBS AND THAT ALSO DID NOT HELP. THE LIGHTS ARE SO DIM AT NIGHT THAT I HAVE TO USE THE HIGH BEAMS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE THE ROAD OR SIDE OF THE ROAD WHEN DRIVING ON A ROAD WITH NO MARKED LINES. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE!! AGAIN TODAY I SPOKE WITH THE DEALER, AND THEY STILL HAVE NO RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM.
RADIATOR COOLING FAN DOESN'T TURN OFF . THIS RAN MY BATTERY DOWN. I REMOVED MY COOLING FAN RELAY SWITCH FROM THE ELECTRICAL FUSE BOX AND UNPLUGGED MY COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR WIRE AND REINSTALLED AND NOW SEEMS TO BE WORKING FINE. I CURRENTLY HAVE 39K MILES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THERE WAS A DOWNPOUR OF RAIN. AFTER THE RAIN, THE TAILGATE BECAME INOPERABLE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING TOWED TWO DAYS AFTER THE RAIN, THERE WAS A LARGE AMOUNT OF WATER COMING FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT ALL OF THE MODULES WERE WET AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
I WAS DRIVING HOME ON NY STATE THRUWAY, I GOT OFF MY EXIT AND APPROACHED TOLL BOOTH TO STOP AND PAY TOLL. I STOPPED THE CAR TO PAY AND THE CAR WAS TRYING TO LURCH FORWARD AND STARTED SHUDDERING AND THE RPMS WERE DROPPING LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL. I PUSHED THE SELECTOR LEVER INTO NEUTRAL AND THE CAR STOPPED LURCHING FORWARD AND THE RPMS RETURNED TO NORMAL. I PUT CAR BACK INTO DRIVE AFTER PAYING TOLL AND PROCEEDED FORWARD TO THE TRAFFIC LIGHT AND STOP AND THE CAR DID THE SAME THING AGAIN. I PROCEEDED HOME AND WHEN I ARRIVED AND PULLED INTO MY DRIVEWAY THE CAR STARTED TO SHUDDER SLIGHTLY AND WHEN I COMPLETELY STOPPED IN FRONT OF MY GARAGE I JUST HELD MY FOOT FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE TO SEE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN AND THE CAR ATTEMPT TO GO FORWARD BUT STALLED WITHIN SECONDS. I ATTEMTPTED TO START THE CAR BACK UP BUT IT TOOK A FEW SECONDS OF PRESSING THE BUTTON BEFORE THE CAR FIRED BACK UP. I THEN BACKED UP TO THE END OF MY DRIVEWAY AND WENT FORWARD TO SEE IF IT WOULD DO IT AGAIN BUT IT DID NOT. MY WIFE STARTED CAR IN MORNING AND IT DID IT AGAIN AT THE FIRST STOP SIGN SHE APPROACHED. I CALLED CARBONE CADILLAC AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO DROP OFF CAR TO CORRECT ISSUE. THEY HAD THE CAR FOR TWO DAYS AND COULD NOT REPLICATE THE CONDITION. I PICKED UP THE CAR AND I WILL GET IT TO DO IT AGAIN AN GET IT ON VIDEO FOR PROOF OF THE DEFECT AS THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR FOR MY WIFE 2 MONTHS AGO. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE SAFETY HAZARD TO SAY THE LEAST. MILEAGE IS 40,251
AFTER OPENING, THE LIFT GATE CLOSES SLOWLY ON ITS OWN ALL OF THE TIME. HAPPENS WHENEVER THE LIFT GATE IS OPEN IN A STATIONARY POSITION. HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS NOW. HAS CLOSED SEVERAL TIMES ON MYSELF AND MY HUSBAND.
REAR HATCH DOES NOT STOP AFTER OPENING. IT GOES UP AND DOWN SEVERAL TIMES THEN SHUTS. SLAMMED DOWN AND HIT MY WIFE ON HER SHOULDER. WE CANNOT USE THE REAR HATCH DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS. NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT OTHER THAN A SMALL SCRAPE ON THE SIDE DOOR. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. SAFETY ISSUE
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS VERY DIM AND GETTING WORSE, REPLACED BULBS AND IMPROVED FOR SHORT TIME. VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. CADILLAC DEALERS WILL ONLY FIX IF I PAY FOR PARTS AND LABOR APPROX. $1,700.00 GM SHOULD BE MADE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE RESUMKED TO NORMAL AFTER THIRTY SECONDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 58,000.
VEHICLE IS PARKED (STATIONARY) AND WHEN IT RAINS WATER DOES NOT CLEAR THROUGH SUNROOF DRAIN HOSE, RESULTING IN WATER LEAKING ONTO FLOORBOARDS ON FRONT PASSENGER SIDE, INTO TRUNK AREA AND LIFTGAGE, AND BACKUP CAMERA AND LIFTGATE ELECTRICAL SHORTS-OUT. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE VEHICLE WAS NEW AND EACH TIME IT REQUIRES REPAIR, DEALER CLAIMS THE SUNROOF WAS LEFT OPEN DURING A RAINSTORM.
HAD DRIVEN THE VEHICLE 30 MINS PRIOR, STOPPED, SHUT IT OFF LEFT IN DRIVE WAY FOR 20 MINUTES, RETURNED TRIED TO START WITH BUTTON - INFORMATION PANEL STATED IT COULD NOT FIND REMOTE, MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO START WITHOUT SUCCESS. GOT A RIDE HOME 30 MILES AWAY TO GET SPARE REMOTE, IT WAS NOT RECOGNIZED BY THE VEHICLE EITHER. HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALER, WHO COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM AND BELIEVED IT TO BE A FREQUENCY PROBLEM BASED ON WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. TWO WEEKS LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN, AND AFTER WAITING 2 MINUTES IT STARTED.
CAR WAS DAMAGED AT GOLD COAST CADILLAC IN OAKHURST, NEW JERSEY ON FEBRUARY 4,2016. IT WAS T-BONED ON THE RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR. IT COST $11,622.15 TO REPAIR. THE DEALERSHIP IS REFUSING TO GIVE ME THEIR INSURANCE INFORMATION.
MY CAR WAS T-BONED WHILE BEING SERVICED AT GOLD COAST CADILLAC IN OAKHURST, NEW JERSEY ON FEBRUARY 4,2016. THE CAR WAS WAS SENT TO FREEHOLD COLLISION TO BE REPAIRED AT A COST OF $11,622.15. THE CAR WAS NOT REPAIRED CORRECTLY. THE GAS CAP IS LOOSE AND THE REAR DOOR IS MISALIGNED. THE CAR ISN'T SAFE TO DRIVE. BUT YET THE DEALERSHIP FORGED MY SIGNATURE ON THE DOCUMENTS THE REPAIRS WERE SATISFACTORY TO MY LIKING AND I ACCEPTED THE CAR BACK. THAT IS NOT TRUE.

FREEHOLD COLLISION REPAIRED MY 2012 CADILLAC SRX AFTER BEING SENT TO THEM FROM GOLD COAST CADILLAC IN OAKHURST. NEW JERSEY ON FEBRUARY 4,2016. THEY FORGED MY NAME ON REPAIR PAPERWORK STATING THAT I ACCEPTED THE CAR BACK AND WAS SATISFIED WITH THE REPAIRS. THIS IS NOT TRUE.
HEADLIGHTS LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT IS VERY POOR. VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE AND IS VERY DANGEROUS.
HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY HAS MOISTURE IN IT . CAN NOT SEE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. TALKED TO GM BUT THEY SAY THEY CAN'T FIXED IT. TRIED CHANGING BULBS BUT DIDN'T HELP. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 56,000 MILES ON IT. GUESS IT'S TIME TO CHANGE MAKES.....FOR GOOD
HEADLIGHTS HAVE WATER IN THEM CAUSING LOSS OF DRIVING VISABILITY AT NIGHT. DEALER REFUSES TO REPLACE THEM UNDER BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY.
LOW BEAM LIGHTING IS VERY VERY POOR, LIKE NOT HAVING ANY LIGHTING AT ALL. VERY DANGEROUS ! HAVE CHANGED BULBS BUT NO LUCK. DEALER TESTED AND ADVISED THEY ARE NORMAL, NO WAY. WOULD LIKE TO SEE THEM DRIVE IT AT NIGHT. I LIKE THE VEHICLE BUT FEEL I'M FORCED TO TRADE-IN, JUST TO DANGEROUS BECAUSE I OFTEN HAVE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. NEW VEHICLE WILL NOT BE A CADILLAC !
THE HEADLIGHTS ARE VERY DIM AND VIRTUALLY USELESS AT NIGHT. I CHANGED THE BULBS WITH NEW ONES AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CADILLAC SRX. THE CONTACT STATED THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS PROJECTED BEAM WAS INSUFFICIENT FOR SAFE OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER THE VISIBILITY WAS MINIMAL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO OPERATE AT NIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
LOWBEAM LIGHTS ARE SO DIM THEY ARE NOT USABLE. MUST USE HIGH BEAMS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. DEALER ADJUSTED LIGHTS AND REPLACED BULBS BUT DID NOT HELP. THEY SAID ENTIRE HEADLAMPS ASSEMBLIES WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AT EXTREMELY HIGH COST
WHEN IT RAINS THE CLOSED SUNROOF DRAINS INTO BOTH FLOOR BOARDS OF THE CAR, AND INTO THE BACK HATCH FLOORBOARD WHETHER DRIVING OR STATIONARY. SOAKING MY FEET WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS ALSO CAUSED THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THAT CONTROLS THE LIFTGATE TO GO OUT AND IT WILL NOT OPEN EVEN MANUALLY. IT SATURATES THE FLOOR AND IS CAUSING MOLD TO GROW UNDERNEATH THE CARPET WHICH I WOULD THINK IS A HEALTH RISK ESPECIALLY FOR OWNERS LIKE ME WHO HAVE A CHILD WITH ASTHMA. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME IT RAINS OR I WASH MY CAR. IT HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR ALMOST A YEAR.
DRIVING AT NIGHT IS VERY DIFFICULT WITHOUT TURNING ON BRIGHT LIGHTS. I HAVE NOTICED THIS PROBLEM FOR YEARS BUT SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE. THE LEFT HEADLIGHT MAY BE DIMMER THAN THE RIGHT.
BEARINGS WENT OUT AND HAD TO BE REPLACED
THE LOW BEAMS ON THIS CAR ARE SO DIM THAT YOU ARE UNABLE TO DRIVE THE AUTOMOBILE AT DARK. IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AS YOU CANNOT SEE A 100 FEET IN FRONT OF YOU. I HAVE MADE NUMEROUS INQUIRIES TO THE DEALERSHIP. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY WERE FINE. CADILLAC KNOWS THEY HAVE AN ISSUE BUT WILL NOT MAKE REPAIRS. THIS IS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE WE BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2015 WITH 39,000 MILES ON IT.
