Safety Features
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT5, Cadillac XT6, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia vehicles. The fuel pump's jet nozzle may have a plastic burr remaining from the manufacturing process, possibly causing a blocked nozzle and an insufficient fuel supply to the engine.
Remedy Status
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump module. The recall began November 16, 2020. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-888-988-7267, Buick Customer service at 1-866-608-8080, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. GM's number for this recall is N202314760.
General Motors, LLC. (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT5 and XT6, Chevrolet Blazer, Silverado 1500, 2500 and 3500 and Traverse and GMC Acadia and Sierra 1500, 2500 and 3500 vehicles. The diffuser component of the Roof-Rail Air Bag (RRAB) inflator may not have been properly crimped to the inflator and could separate from the inflator during air bag deployment.
Remedy Status
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the suspect RRAB modules, free of charge. The recall began September 3, 2020. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438, Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223, or Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300. GM's number for this recall is N202305380.
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Chevrolet Cruze and Buick LaCrosse, 2018-2020 Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain, 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, 2019-2020 Buick Encore, Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, Chevrolet Blazer and GMC Acadia, and 2020 Cadillac XT6 vehicles. The start/stop accumulator endcap may have missing bolts.
Remedy Status
GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the start-stop transmission accumulator and replace it if any bolts are missing, free of charge. The recall began December 15, 2020. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-888-988-7267, Buick Customer service at 1-866-608-8080, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Cadillac XT5, XT6, and GMC Acadia vehicles equipped with the optional Surround Vision feature. The rearview camera coaxial cable connectors may have been crimped improperly, causing the rearview camera to fail or function intermittently.
Remedy Status
Dealers will replace the coaxial cables, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 18, 2023. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N222378380.
Vehicle has a known condition with many same year make and model that could cause the engine coolant thermostat to open at a lower temperature than intended. This condition has occurred. As a result the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (Check Engine Light) illuminates and a diagnostic trouble code is set and “steering assistance reduced” appear. The engine cooling fans also run after the engine is switched off. A recent bulletin has been posted to the 2021 Cadillac XT6 but is present in our 2020 as well. Upon calling the dealer our VIN was not on said recall/bulletin.
While driving approximately 15 MPH I noticed a scraping sound and shimmy in the back. I took the car to Capital Cadillac for diagnostic. They found that the tires were separated. I bought the car brand new in 2020 and it has about 21k miles on it. 265/45 R 21 104 V
Transmission jerking and has become unsafe to drive. Will have to go back to the dealership for this issue. This will be the third time 4 same issue.
The Radiator is not functioning, confirmed by a mechanic at a dealership. An engine light did appear to notify me of the problem, however the car has been kept in great condition without accident or cause for the radiator to stop functioning in such a young vehicle.
Way back rear window leaks in car wash or heavy rain.
The contact owns a 2020 Cadillac XT6. The contact stated while driving at 35 MPH, the vehicle lost power. The vehicle was restarted from the Cadillac App via phone. The contact stated that during the second failure " The steering assist is reduced drive with care" warning message and the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated she called On-Star where she was informed the tire pressure, the engine, and the transmission needed attention. The vehicle was towed to a dealer by AAA where it was diagnosed the camshaft solenoid was faulty, with a present poil leak, along with codes P0014 and P0017. As a result, the parts of the engine and battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered the contact a check to purchase a new vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 159,838.
The contact owns a 2020 Cadillac XT6. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V709000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
There is a known problem, which Cadillac refuses to recall, regarding a steering assist reduced warning. The warning light disables the air conditioning system and steering assist. When the light comes on, reduced power to the steering system occurs. I took the vehicle in to be serviced, but the service light was off, and Cadillac refused to fix it; intentionally trying to run the timer out on the 5year/70,000 powertrain warranty. It's a known issue, all over the internet. In fact, they recalled several models due to the same problem. "19V-086 / N182182760 Recall Summary If the steering assistance is not available, extra effort would be required to steer the vehicle, and this would increase risk of a crash. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Cadillac CTS, and 2017 Cadillac ATS, Chevrolet Camaro, and Chevrolet Corvette vehicles." I've reset the light several times, and it usually stays off for several days before returning. This sounds like a software problem, but Cadillac has not taken any steps to fix the issue. It is dangerous for any reduction in steering, especially during winter or at highway speed. It's also dangerous to disable air conditioning, as during the summer, the temperature can reach above 140 F inside a vehicle. If a driver were to have a medical event in a parking lot, or fall asleep with the vehicle on while simply waiting for somebody -- while assuming the air conditioner would keep them cool and comfortable -- within 10 minutes the temperature could reach 130+ degrees, and into the 150s in California or Las Vegas. Software should never reduce steering assist, or disable the air conditioner automatically. I would like a recall to be issued regarding this problem. I don't know if they have designed the system to fail right at the warranty or just after, but it certainly appears that way. Please look into the matter. Moldy smell coming from vents when AC runs. Had engine sprayed with a cleaner, but smell is still there. It is mold on the condenser.
I was waiting for a light to change to green and the vehicle shut down because of the auto-stop feature, after a couple of seconds the car turned on again and this message came on "stability track off" and this happened like that like 3 times until I turned off the auto-stop. I took it to the dealer the next day and they scanned it for issue and told me there's nothing wrong with the vehicle.
I got this vehicle and have had the body control module replaced 3 times the first time was as soon as it got out the dealer lot the turn signals were not working so I took it back a week later and they had to replace the body control module and since then they have replaced it 3 times
Vehicle has a high-pitched whining noise when cold. Vehicle also has a transmission shutter problem at lower RPM. I do not think the two are related rather than two separate incidences. But cannot be confirmed that they are two separate. Maybe one problem only. I do have video of this happening. Cannot upload a video though.
The contact owns a 2020 Cadillac XT6. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the instrument panel went black. The vehicle was restarted, and the instrument panel lights illuminated but the vehicle began shaking from the driver's side. The check oil warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that she felt heat coming from where her feet were located under the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined the driver's speaker was inoperable due to unknown electrical fault and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. On another occasion, while driving 10 MPH, the contact observed a dripping noise coming from underneath the vehicle. The check oil warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the oil needed to be changed. Additionally, while driving at 60 MPH she observed condensation on the outside of the windshield. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,753.
The contact owns a 2020 Cadillac XT6. The contact stated that the service stabilitrak warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the power converter failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that after she activated the A.C. unit, the vent blew heat. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was then diagnosed but the contact was unsure of the failure. Additionally, the contact stated that the front passenger side door latch failed to latch closed. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to call a tow and bring the vehicle in for diagnoses. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact then stated that after the vehicle was shifted in a parked position and idled, the vehicle loss power. The service stabilitrak warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,800.
Transmission shudder at low RPMs. Feels like transmission should down shift sooner, but it shudders and shakes until RPMs get up higher. Does it when RPMs are around the 1500 mark. Vehicle almost seems like it will stall unless you give it more fuel to get RPMs up higher.
The contact owns a 2020 Cadillac XT6. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH, the contact heard an abnormal "popping" sound and seconds later there was a loud bang. The contact pulled over and inspected the vehicle looking for tire damage, then the contact noticed that there was a large concentration of glass on the roof of the vehicle. The contact observed that the rear stationary panel of the panoramic sunroof had disintegrated. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to a glass repair shop where the technician advised the contact that there was no evidence of a rock or other object striking the sunroof to cause the glass to shatter. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 28,500.
Intermittent shifting problems. Is stuttering when shifting. There seems to be an ongoing problem according to online and G M itself why isn't this recalled. There is no starting point it is intermittent on going. At the 1st instance they recorded it but it didn't get fixed and now they want to see it happening again but it's intermittent how many times do I have to go back
The contact owns a 2020 Cadillac XT6. The contact stated that after entering the front passenger’s side of the vehicle, she observed water leaking into the interior. After a visual inspection, the contact discovered water damage to the floorboards. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the cabin filter was clogged and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer after the contact smelled a burning odor in the interior of the vehicle. The dealer determined that water had damaged several electrical components inside the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 30,000.
While reversing at a downward slope, sudden strong braking will occur. It does not always happen but when it does it is very alarming and loud. I’m guessing something is wrong with the Automatic Emergency Braking system. There is no warning prior to it happening. I fear these occurrences may cause an accident if I’m not wanting to brake at that moment. I have made Michael Hohl Dealership in Carson City NV aware of this issue but they don’t have a remedy for the problem.
Rear backup camera has failed 12 times since car purchase eight weeks ago. Black screen on info center with red circle with slash across the middle over a camera. The failure is intermittent and seems to fail when it is cool outside in the morning.
