RELAY FOR 4 WAY FLASHERS IS CLICKING, ONLINE MY PROBLEM WITH FLASHER RELAY AND BRAKE LIGHTS IS LISTED UNDER RECALL 01073B. I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS RECALL WAS DONE, DONE PROPERLY OR JUST TIMED OUT.
WHEN BRAKING THE ABS BRAKE SYSTEM LOCKS. IT LOCKS UP INTO A LIMITED SLIP MODE WHILE BRAKING AT A NORMAL STOP. IT DOES NOT BRAKE CORRECTLY. IT PUMPS BADLY WHILE ATTEMPTING TO STOP. THIS HAPPENS MULTIPLE TIME A DAY WHEN DRIVING. HAVE TO BREAK WAY BEFORE NEEDING TO BECAUSE IT WILL SLIP. TYPICALLY HAPPENS IN PARKING LOTS AND REGULAR STREETS WHEN USING BREAKS. IN MOTION. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE MARCH 2020.
IT STARTED WITH MY GAUGES BOUNCING ALL OVER GOING ON AND OFF , THEN IT FELT LIKE THE BRAKES WERE ON AND I HAD TO GIVE IT ALOT OF GAS TO GET GOING.NOW THE DASH WILL WORK WHEN I TURN THE KEY ON BUT AS SOON AS IT STARTS IT GOES OUT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE OIL PRESSURE AND THE CHARGING GAUGE. THE TRANSMISSION ISNT WORKING RIGHT AT ALL AND I DONT DARE DRIVE IT ANYWHERE. THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD DOES NOT TEST RIGHT, ONLY ABOUT HALF OF IT HAS POWER AND I AM AT A LOSS THERE! THERE HAS BEEN ELECTRICAL PROBNLEMS WITH IT EVER SINCE I BOUGHT IT.
I HAVE REPLACED THE HUB ASSEMBLY, IDLER ARM, & WHEEL BEARINGS ON BOTH DRIVER & PASSENGER SIDE OF MY VEHICLE. WHEN I DRIVE OVER 45 MPH MY CAR MAKES AN AWFUL SOUND & NO MATTER WHAT I CHANGE OR HAVE FIXED THE PARKING BRAKE/ABS LIGHTS STAY ON. I'VE HAD MANY MECHANICS LOOK AT & SAY THEY'VE FIXED THE ISSUE BUT NONE HAVE ACTUALLY FIXED IT. I WAS DRIVING 70MPH ON THE HIGHWAY & MY BRAKES FELT AS IF THEY WERE LOCKING UP. *TR
STEERING COLUMN HAD SMOKE COMING OUT OF IT A WEEK AGO. I'M CONSTANTLY HEARING THE BLINKERS EVEN WHEN THEY'RE NOT IN USE, FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS NOW. THIS HAPPENS ANYTIME THE CAR IS RUNNING, WHETHER IT'S MOVING OR STOPPED. PROBLEM WITH CONSTANT BLINKER SOUND STARTED THE FIRST OF APRIL, AND HAS CONTINUED EVER SINCE. *TR
DRIVER MAY HAVE SWERVED TO AVOID AN ANIMAL (DEER) ON DARK COUNTRY ROAD. VEHICLE ROLLED OVER EJECTING THE DRIVER. DEATH WAS INSTANT. THE DRIVERS DOOR CAME OFF HINGES AND LOCKS. SEE PHOTOS. AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. NO OTHER VEHICLE INVOLVED.
FUEL SENSOR PROBLEM THAT'S BEEN GOING ON WITH A LOT OF 2000 CHEVY BLAZER ALSO TRAIL BLAZERS AND ALSO THE DISTRIBUTOR THERE IS NO SEAL UNDER THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP CAUSE IT TO HAVE MOISTURE AND CAUSE IT NOT TO RUN AND YOU HAVE TO REPLACE IT THIS IS TO THE COMPANY OR WHOEVER'S IN CHARGE NOW THE FUEL SYSTEM ITSELF IS CALLED A SPIDER SENSE OR WHAT I CALL IT NOT TO RUN IT ALL THE TIME THEY MUST BE SOME TYPE OF FILTER BESIDES THE ONE ON SIDE OF THE VEHICLE ITSELF BECAUSE THEY GO OUT WITHIN A YEAR OR MAYBE TWO YEARS OR SO THIS MUST BE ADDRESSED SO HOPEFULLY I GET SOME INFORMATION TO HELP FIX THE VEHICLE THAT I DON'T THINK YOU I HOPE I COULD GET SOME INFORMATION ABOUT IT BECAUSE THE FULE SENSOR IS A BIG DEAL WEN THEY LAST FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND THEN TO BUY ONE FOR ABOUT 400 DOLLARS AND THEN PAY ANOTHER 1000 DOLLARS FOR LABOR I THINK THAT THE INJECTION FOR THE FULE SENSOR SHOULD BE ADDRESSED HOPEFULLY HAVE A RE CALL THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS AND HOPE YOU CAN HELP GOD BLESS
BOTH PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AND DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT SEATBELTS ARE TOREN OVER 3/4 THREW THE BELTTHAT CROSSES CHEST APPROXIMATELY AT BREAST HEIGHT( HALF WAY UP FROM BUCKLE) ALSO PRIOR SIGNS OF OTHER REPAIRS TO SEATBELT STRAPS. I PURCHASED IT THIS WAY, SO UNKNOWN CAUSE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET BLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMAL CLICKING SOUND EVEN WHEN THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH WAS NOT ACTIVATED. UPON INSPECTION, THE TURN SIGNAL INDICATORS DID NOT ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FLASHERS WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 01V364000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. ALTHOUGH THE MANUFACTURER ACKNOWLEDGED THE RECALL, THEY STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 167,000.
TRIED PUTTING GAS IN MY VEHICLE AND IT WOULDNT UMP MUCH RAN BACK INTO GAS STATION TO GET BACK THE MONEY I DIDNT PUMP AND WHEN I CAME BACK OUT MY GAS WAS ON THE GROUND. STATIONARY AT THE GAS PUMP

MY CUSTOMER WAS NOT AWARE THAT THE INVOLVED VEHICLE HAD A THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM, MANUFACTURED BY "KARR" AND DISTRIBUTED BY AUDIOVOX WITH INSTALLERS NATIONWIDE. I HAVE BEEN ACTIVELY INVOLVED WITH GM DEALERSHIPS FOR OVER FORTY YEARS AND POSSESS A WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE IN PARTS AND SERVICE EXPERIENCE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,650.
DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE STRIKING ANOTHER AND DIED ON 12/29/14. DRIVER WAS 23 YEARS OLD. THE AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AS IN IGNITION DEFECT SWITCH CASES WHICH MAY BE THE CASE WITH THIS VEHICLE AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. THE SEATBELT WAS ALSO DEFECTIVE AND INOPERABLE, THUS NOT WORN AT THE TIME OF DEATH.
A CHUNK OF APPROXIMATELY 2-3" BLEW OUT OF THE SIDEWALL OF THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING, AND SHE LOST CONTROL AFTER THE TIRE BLEW AND HIT A TREE HEAD ON AT 45 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND MY DAUGHTER HAS MULTIPLE INJURIES, INCLUDING A FRACTURED KNEECAP, SPRAINED JAW, DISC PROTRUSIONS AT C6/C7 AND L5/S1. SHE IS HAVING HEADACHES AND FACIAL PAIN AND A BRAIN MRI WAS PERFORMED YESTERDAY. WE'LL HAVE THOSE RESULTS SOMETIME NEXT WEEK. THE TIRE WAS PURCHASED IN OCTOBER 2013, WAS 20% WORN AND HAD NO SIGNS OF INFLATION PROBLEMS OR SIGNS OF ANYTHING STRIKING THE TIRE. IT WAS A GOODYEAR TIRE. *TR

I'VE OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR ONE YEAR. I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE BRAKE LIGHT CONSTANTLY COMING ON, EVEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IT COMES ON. EVENFLO EXPRESS VISION/ CHASE TRADITIONS FORWARD FACING BOOSTER WITH 5-PT HARNESS. THE PROBLEM OCCURS EVERY TIME MY CHILD HAS BEEN STRAPPED INTO THE SEAT,. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE RIGHT SHOULDER STRAP IS OVERLAPPED ON ITSELF TO SECURE IT AT A PERMANENT LENGTH (MAKING TWO STRAPS ON THE R SHOULDER) AND ALLOW FOR THE PLACEMENT OF THE HARNESS ADJUSTED., THE ONE STRAP THAT IS NOT SECURED BY THE CHEST CLIP EASILY SLIDES ON AND OFF OF THE CHILDREN'S SHOULDER.. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING TO GET THIS TO WORK BUT WHEN SHE MOVES JUST A LITTLE BIT IT FALLS RIGHT OFF OF HER SHOULDER. I HAVE TIGHTENED IT AS TIGHT AS I CAN AND IT STILL SEEMS TO FALL RIGHT OFF. I HAVE ALSO HAD IT INSTALLED WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND THEY HAD A HARD TIME EVEN GETTING IT ON AND STAYING IN PLACE. THEY THOUGHT IT WAS WEIRD. I DO WORRY THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR ANYCHILD, PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE WITH A NEW HARNESS PLEASE. TIGHTEN IT FROM THE FRONT BOTTOM WOULD BE SO MUCH EASIER. GAS GAGE BOUNCES AROUND AND FUEL LIGHT COMES ON EVEN WHEN I KNOW THE CAR HAS A FULL TANK. I HAVE TO TRACK MILEAGE EVERY TIME I PUT GAS IN THE CAR. I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH FUEL PUMP NOT GETTING POWER AND R I HAVE REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP 3 TIMES AND IT WILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM DAYS TO WKS AFTER REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP. I HAVE SEARCHED ON GOOGLE AND THEIR ARE MANY PEOPLE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO 3 DIFFERENT SHOPS AND NO ONE CAN FIGURE IT OUT I AM VERY FRUSTRATED. THEIR IS CODE THAT SHOWS UP WHEN TESTED. THE CAR HAS BROKE DOWN MANY TIMES WITH MY DAUGHTER IN IT. I NEVER KNOW IF I TURN THE CAR OFF IF IT WILL START BACK UP. AT TIMES IN THE MORNING IT WONT START AT ALL AND MY DAUGHTER IS LATE TO SCHOOL DUE TO THE CAR NOT STARTING AND HAVING TO FIND HER A RIDE. FOR THE PAST 4 DAYS THE CAR WILL NOT START AT ALL. HAD A FRONT END COLLISION. THE FRONT END WAS DESTROYED. NO AIR BAGS WENT OFF. BOTH VEHICLES CAME OFF A RED LIGHT, ALL VEHICLES STOPPED SUDDENLY AND MY TEUCK REAR ENDED A TOYOTA PICKUP. *TR
FORTUNATELY, I HAD JUST GOTTEN OFF THE FREEWAY AND WAS LOOKING FOR AN ADDRESS AT A SLOW SPEED. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR LURCHED; I HAD NO STEERING; I LOST ALL ELECTRICAL CONTROL; THE CAR GROUND TO A HALT; SMOKE CAME OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. I AND A FRIEND GOT OUT OF THE CAR. FORTUITOUSLY, FIRE TRUCKS APPEARED. IT TURNED OUT THEY WERE RETURNING FROM ANOTHER INCIDENT AS I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE IMMEDIACY OF THEIR RESPONSE. THEY TOOK OVER PREVENTING FURTHER AGGRAVATION OF THIS SITUATION. THE BATTERY WAS BOILING. ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRE HARNESSES WERE MELTED. THE UPPER SUSPENSION CONTROL ARM WAS BROKEN. THE FIREMEN'S OBSERVATION WAS, IF I HAD BEEN GOING ANY FASTER, THE CAR COULD HAVE FLIPPED. AFTER BEING TOWED TO A NEARBY MECHANIC, I LEARNED THE UPPER CONTROL ARM HAD BROKEN. IT IMPAILED THE STARTER WHICH SHORTED. THAT MELTED THE WIRING HARNESSES TO AND FROM THE BATTERY, AS WELL AS BEING THE CAUSE OF THE BATTERY BOILING. THE KEY ISSUE IS THAT GENERAL MOTORS WOULD BUILD A VEHICLE WHERE THE UPPER CONTROL ARM IS SO FLIMSY IT WOULD BREAK. I HAVE READ OTHER INCIDENTS OF THE SAME THING WITH THE CHEVROLET BLAZER WHERE, FOR EXAMPLE, A PERSON WAS GOING 30MPH, THE CAR FLIPPED, AND THE PERSON WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS. A REPEATED CORPORATE FAILURE OF THIS NATURE SHOULD HAVE CONSEQUENCES. *TR
EVER SINCE I OWN THIS VEHICLE, THE IGNITION SWITCH DOES NOT LOCK. THEREFORE IT IS POSSIBLE TO LEAVE THE TRUCK AND NOT KNOW THE IGNITION SWITCH IS STILL IN THE ON POSITION. ALSO, THE GAS GAUGE BOUNCES ALL OVER THE PLACE AND I HAVE TO USE THE TRIP TO KNOW WHEN I NEED GAS. THIS HAS ALSO BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE I OWN THE TRUCK. OCCASIONALLY, THE LOW FUEL LIGHT COMES ON (I KNOW I HAVE FUEL) AND THE TRUCK STARTS ACTING LIKE IT'S LOW ON GAS. *TR
MY BLINKERS STARTED BLINKING REAL FAST AND I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHY. I ASKED MY BROTHER AND HE TOLD ME I HAD A LIGHT OUT SOMEWHERE, SO HE HELPED ME LOCATE IT. IT WAS MY BLINKER ON THE DRIVER SIDE BACK. I REPLACED IT AND A FEW MONTHS LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I REPLACED IT AGAIN. ALL THIS HAPPENED IN 2013. IN THE SUMMER OF 2014 IT HAPPENED AGAIN WITH THE SAME LIGHT. I REPLACED IT AGAIN. I WAS WATCHING GOOD MORNING AMERICA THIS MORNING AND SEEN WHERE THEY WERE INVESTIGATING SAFE CARS AT USED CAR DEALERS. IT GAVE A WEB SITE TO LOOK AND SEE IF YOUR VEHICLE HAS ANY RECALLS. THREE OTHER FIRESTONE FIREHAWK 500 TIRES ON THE VEHICLE DO NOT INDICATE ANY DEFECT UPON VISUAL INSPECTION. FIRESTONE RECOMMENDS REPLACEMENT OF ALL TIRES DUE TO AGE, DOT 3303. TREAD REMAINING ON TIRES IS 3/32" OR MORE. *TR

WE HAVE A 2000 CHEVY BLAZER VIN [XXX]. SINCE OWNERSHIP THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN EXPECTED. MY SISTER HAS COMPLAINED NUMEROUS TIMES ABOUT ISSUES WITH RATTLES, SQUEAKS AND BODY ISSUES. WE HAVE NOTICED EARLY IN THE VEHICLES LIFE THE AMOUNT OF RUST THIS BLAZER HAS ON THE UNDERBODY. THIS HAS BEEN THE ISSUE OF SOME OF THE NOISES. RECENTLY, SHE COMPLAINED AGAIN OF A SUSPENSION NOISE WHILE STOPPING, TURNING OR HITTING RUTS OR HOLES IN THE ROAD. I INSPECTED AND LUBRICATED PROBLEMATIC POINTS THAT WE ADDRESSED IN THE PAST. THE NOISE WOULD COME AND GO. FINALLY, SHE MENTIONED A FEEL OF CONTROL LOSS WHILE BRAKING AND MAKING TURNS AND THE NOISE. SHE MENTIONED THE NOISE WAS SO LOUD PEOPLE WOULD STARE OR TURN HEADS. UPON MY INSPECTION I WAS SHOCKED AND NEVER HAVE SEEN THIS PROBLEM ON ANY VEHICLE. THE REAR SHACKLES THAT HOLD THE REAR LEAF SPRING TO THE FRAME HAD COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH. THUS ALLOWING THE LEAF SPRING TO FLOAT FREELY ON THE FRAME RAIL IN REAR. THIS SHACKLE ALLOWS THE LEAF SPRING TO MOVE FORWARD AND BACKWARD DURING SUSPENSION FLEX. IN ADDITION, THIS STABILIZES THE REAR END AND KEEPS EVERYTHING IN PLACE-CONSULT A MECHANIC FOR SPECIFIC FUNCTION. I HAVE DEALT WITH MANY CARS IN MY LIFE AS WELL AS TRUCKS. NEVER, HAVE I SEEN THIS RUST ISSUE IN ANY VEHICLE-CHEVY TO NOTE AS WELL. I AM DEMANDING A RESPONSE TO THIS PROBLEM AND I WILL FURTHER CONTACT TRAFFIC SAFETY ABOUT THIS ISSUE. MY 2000 BLAZER LS 2DR 4X4 HAS IPC PROBLEMS. THE IPC LIGHTS HAVE GONE OUT AND DO NOT ILLUMINATE THE GAUGES, THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD WHEN DRIVING. THE ABS AND PARKING BRAKE INDICATOR LIGHTS GO ON AND OFF. THE PARKING BRAKE STICKS AND WONT RELEASE. DUE TO THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS, RECALLS, AND SERVICE BULLETINS ISSUED ON THESE SAFETY PROBLEMS I THINK MORE SHOULD BE DONE TO HOLD THE MANUFACTURER RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRING THESE DEFECTS. HE BELIEVED THE CAUSE TO BE THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH. 11/20/2009: BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD NOT TURN OFF EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. THEY STAYED ON UNTIL THEY COMPLETELY DRAINED MY BATTERY. LOOKED UP RECALLS AND FOUND THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH: NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: RQ08001. 11/21/2009: CALLED THE GM NUMBER LISTED ON THE NHTSA RECALL FORM TO ASK FOR ASSISTANCE WITH THE COST OF REPLACING THE PART. WAS REFUSED ASSISTANCE AND GIVEN THE FOLLOWING REASONS: MY PARTICULAR VIN WAS NOT ONE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. I DIDN'T PURCHASE MY VEHICLE FROM A GM DEALER. GM STATES DEX-COOL IS MAINT FREE TO 155,000 MILES. WHEN VEHICLE REACHED 100,000 MILES, I BEGAN TO LOOSE HEAT. I NOTICED A CRYSTAL-LIKE RESIDUE FLOATING IN COOLANT. DRAINED, BACK FLUSHED HEATER CORE AND FLUSHED SYSTEM 3 TIMES THEN ADDED PRESTONE (GREEN) COOLANT. AFTER ABOUT 10,000 MILES BEGAN TO LOOSE HEAT AGAIN, REPEATED FLUSH AND FILL. EVERY YEAR SINCE, WHEN COLDER WEATHER SETS IN, THE SAME PROBLEM SHOWS UP AND I GO THROUGH THE SAME FLUSH AND FILL PROCEDURE. DEX-COOL HAS LEFT SO MUCH SLUDGE THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM I CAN'T GET IT ALL OUT AND IT CONTINUES TO PLUG THE SYSTEM. I HAVE REPLACED TWO WATER PUMPS, THREE THERMOSTATS AND HAVE SPENT HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS JUST DOING FLUSH AND FILLS. ENGINE TEMP WILL BE GOOD FOR THE FIRST FEW WEEKS AFTER A F & F THEN BEGINS TO RUN HOT AGAIN WITH THE SMELL OF COOLANT IN AND AROUND THE VEHICLE. THERE ARE NO VISIBLE LEAKS ON THE GROUND OR ON THE BLOCK. ALL ENGINE VACUUMS CHECK OK. ALL OTHER REGULAR MAINT DONE WHEN REQUIRED.
