WHILE DRIVING, THE RPMS STARTED REVVING WHILE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ACTIVATED, CONSUMER TURNED CRUISE CONTROL OFF, HOWEVER WAS KNOCKED OUT BY THE INADVERTENT DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIR BAG, CAUSING HIS FOOT TO HIT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, VEHICLE WENT ACROSS THE PASSING LANE, OVER A GUARDRAIL AND DOWN A 30 FOOT EMBANKMENT. *SLC
WHILE DRIVING 20MPH AND TRYING TO STOP VEHICLE, BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR. ALSO, BRAKES WOULD MAKE A LOUD NOISE WHEN PRESSING THEM.*AK
BRAKE LIGHTS WILL NOT LIGHT UP. POLICE HAS PULLED VEHICLE OVER FOR BRAKE LIGHTS NOT BEING ON.*AK DEALER REPLACED MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH, HOWEVER PROBLEM STILL OCCURS, EMERGENCY FLASHERS INOPERABLE, DEALER REPLACED MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH AGAIN AND PROBLEM STILL CONTINUES. *SLC
REAR BRAKE LIGHTS ARE WERE NOT WORKING, CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY A POLICE OFFICER THAT PULLED VEHICLE OVER. CONSUMER FELT THIS WAS UNSAFE BECAUSE VEHICLE COULD BE REAR ENDED.*AK. CONSUMER ALSO STATED THE THE HAZARD LIGHTS WERE INOPERATIVE, THE DEALER REPLACED THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH, CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT A RECALL WAS PENDING FOR THE SWITCH.*JB
BRAKE PEDAL FEELS SPONGY, GOES ALMOST TO FLOOR WHEN APPLYING BRAKES. DEALER STATED THIS WAS A TRAIT OF BLAZER, AND NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH BRAKES, BRAKING DISTANCE NORMAL. *AK *SLC
THE STOP LIGHT OR EMERGENCY LIGHTS FAILED TWICE WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING. *YH
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS GOING 30MPH AROUND A CURVE AND IT WENT OFF THE ROAD. CONSUMER DIDN'T REMEMBER ANYTHING ELSE. CONSUMER HAS FOUND OUT THROUGH DIFFERENT DEALER THAT UPPER CONTROL ARMS WERE BAD AND CAUSED VEHICLE TO FLIP OVER. CHEVROLET INSISTED THEY COULD DO NOTHING TO ASSIST CONSUMER.*AK
FAILURE OF 4 WHEEL DRIVE OPTION. THE SWITCH WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY ON THE FIRST OCCASION. EVERY WINTER SINCE THE PURCHASE OF MY BLAZER THE SWITCH FOR THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE HAS HAD TO BE REPLACED. *NM
THE STERRING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND CAUSED ME TO CRASH. *AK
ALL OF MY DOORS SOUND AS IF THEY ARE RATTLING ON THE HINGES. TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS HAVE TRIED TO REPAIR THEM A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES. CHEVROLET HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT THIS. MY BRAKES ALSO MAKE A TERRIBLE GRINDING NOISE WHILE APPLYING THEM. ON 3 OCCASSIONS I HAVE ALMOST HIT MY HOUSE BECAUSE THE BRAKES DIDN'T STOP ME. THIS HAS ALSO BEEN REPORTED TO CHEVROLET AND THEY WILL DO NOTHING.

CONSUMER RECEIVED MANUFACTURER'S RECALL C00063-S REGARDING THE STICKER FOR PAYLOAD INFORMATION, THE STICKER STATES THAT THE PAYLOAD INFORMATION IS WRONG ON THE VEHICLE CERTIFICATION LABEL AND THEN REFERS THE CONSUMER TO THE OWNER'S MANUAL, THE OWNER'S MANUAL STATES TO REFER TO THE CERTIFICATION LABEL FOR THE CORRECT INFORMATION, LEAVING NO HELPFUL OR CORRECT INFORMATION, THE CONSUMER HAD TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER TO RECEIVE THE PAYLOAD INFORMATION. *SLC

NEVER TOOK IN FOR REAR WIPER. STARTED LEAKING OIL, SO TOOK TO DEALER HERE IN ROOSEVELT 21, DEC. STARTED TO PROVO JAN. 10, CRUISE CONTROL WENT OFF, SPEEDOMETER WOULD NOT WORK, THIS CAUSED THE CAR TO NOT SHIFT. PULLED OFF ROAD AS CAR STOPS, TURNED CAR BACK ON, TURNED AROUND TO RETURN HOME. AFRAID TO CONTINUE OVER MOUNTAINS. TOOK TO MURRY MOTORS, COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. TOOK FOR A 30 MINUTE MILE RIDE AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. WILL TAKE BACK THIS FOLLOWING MONDAY TO BE CHECKED AGAIN. CAN NOT DRIVE IF IT WONT SHIFT. TOOK TO MURRAY MOTORS FOR OIL LEAK. THEY REPLACED TWO HOSES. NOT CONNECTED PROPERLY, CAUSING LEAK. THANKS MRS. THE DEALER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THIS PROBLEM IS A LONG-STANDING PROBLEM AND IS THE "NORM FOR THE BLAZERS." THEY FEEL THEIR VEHICLE IS NONETHELESS SAFE EVEN THOUGH IT SEVERELY AFFECTS STEERING IN CORNERING AND TURNS. ON EXTREME RIGHT CURVING UP/DOWN ROAD THIS INSTABILITY MAKES THE VEHICLE FEEL AS IF IT IS LEAVING THE ROADWAY. ON A RAINY ROAD IF YOU BREAK IN THE AFOREMENTIONED CONDITION, THE REAR END FANS OUT LEFT. *AK

THIS CONDITION RAISES THE REAR CENTER OF GRAVITY OF THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE BLAZER AND INCREASES ROLL-OVER POTENTIAL. I SUSPECT THE WRONG AXLE WAS INSTALLED, PROBABLY ONE DESIGNED FOR A 2 WHEEL DRIVE BLAZER. IT WOULD NOT BE THE FIRST TIME GM HAS MADE PARTS SUBSTITUTIONS IN ORDER TO KEEP THE ASSEMBLY LINES RUNNING.*AK
IN LESS THAN 4 YEARS I HAVE HAD 2 MAJOR CAR REPAIRS ON MY BLAZER. ON TRIP TO THE CHEVY DEALER THEY REPLACED THE FOLLOWING: HIFT SOLINOID RIGHT FRONT HUB BRG DRY/GROUWLING, BRG FAILED REPLACED HUB BRG ASSMY. MY TRUCK HAD 54,515 MILES. *AK THE STONE MOUNTAIN CHEVROLET DEARLERSHIP IN STONE MOUNTAIN GA DID THE REPAIR. THE NEXT LARGE REPAIR IS FOR A REAR DIFFERENTIAL OVERHAUL. THE TECHNICIAN SAID THAT THIS IS CAUSED BY MAJOR TOWING BUT THER IS NO HICH ON THE TRUCK AND THERE IS 99,000 MILES ON THE TRUCK.

POWERTRAIN- REAR 7/25/00 REPORTED THAT REAR SHAKES AND SHIMMYS ON ACCELERATION FROM A STOP. THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE. 8/30/00 TOOK IN AGAIN FOR SHUTTER IN REAR, THEY REPLACED 1 GASKET 5.399 SP 2 BEARINGS 5.536 SP AND 1 CASE ASM 5.510. 6/1/01 TOOK IN FOR THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYING ON FOUND HISTORY CODE FOR NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN COMPUTERS COULD NOT GET IT TO DUPLICATE. 7/16/01 AIR BAG LIGHT CHECK FOR HISTORY CODES RESET AND TEST DROVE COULD NOT FIND PROBLEM. I ALSO HAD NO BRAKE LIGHTS THIS VISIT. IT HAD BLOWN 3 FUSES. THEY FOUND THAT MULTIFUNTION SWITCH WAS DEFECTIVE AND WAS HOPING THAT THAT WOULD SOLVE THE AIR BAG PROBLEM. 9/25/01 TOOK IN FOR AIR BAG LIGHT AGAIN. CODES THAT SHOWED UP WERE V1000, V1016,V1041,V1064,V1096 RESET CODES SAID THAT IT WAS STATING THAT IT WAS NOT REGISTERING A PROBLEM WIT THE AIR BAG. THIS TRIP I HAD THE WINDOW LOCK OVERIDE REPLACED. ALL WINDOWS WERE LOCKED EXCEPT FOR THE DRIVERS. 10/10/01 TOOK BACK IN FOR AIR BAG LIGHT. NOT REGISTERING AGAIN. TRACED WIRING TO SPLICE PAK 201 CLEANED AND REROUTE AND REINSTALL BUSS. THIS TRIP THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR LOCK WAS NOT WORKING AND IT WAS REPLACED. TOLD ME TO CALL IF LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. 10/23/01 LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING HOME. CALLED AND TOOK BACK TO SHOP 10/24/01. IT WAS NOT READING ANY CODES. THEY DROVE CAR 140 MILES AND COULD NOT GET IT TO COME ON. THEY TOLD ME THE NEXT TIME IT COMES ON IF IN DAYTIME MONDAY- FRIDAY TO CALL THEM AND THEY WILL COME AND GET THE CAR, NOT TO CUT IT OFF AND THEY WILL HOOK IT UP TO THE COMPUTER WHILE THE LIGHT IS STILL ON. PLEASE HELP!!!!! WHAT OPTIONS DO I HAVE? DOES THE LEMON LAW APPLY HERE????

URGENT- THIS WILL KILL PEOPLE PLEASE READ - MY 2000 CHEVROLET BLAZER ROLLED AT 30 MPH AFTER HITTING A CHUCK HOLE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD. IT THREW ME TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD SO I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE BACK ONTO THE ROAD AT WHICH TIME MY STEERING COLUMN WAS GOING CRAZY AND THEN I ROLLED AT LEAST ONCE BEFORE STOPPING - I REALLY THOUGHT I WAS DEAD, AND MY VEHICLE IS A TOTAL LOSS. I HAVE THE VEHICLE IN MY POSSESSION NOW - BECAUSE OF THEFT RELATED ISSUES WITH ALLSTATE INSURANCE COMPANY. I WOULD LIKE SOME HELP SHOWING THE WORLD THAT IT MAY NOT BE A FIRESTONE PROBLEM, IT MAY BE A SUSPENSION PROBLEM. SEAT BELT RETRACTOR WOULD NOT RETRACT ALL THE WAY WHEN RELEASED. HAD PART REPLACED WITH ANOTHER TYPE OF SEAT BELT DUE TO ORGINIAL SEAT BELT BEING DISCONTINUED BECAUSE OF SOME INCOMPATIBILITY WITH THIS SEAT BELT AND VEHICLE. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO LOCK BELT.*AK
SINCE DAY 1 WHEN VEHICLE PURCHASED, NOTICE SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF POWER AND TACHOMETER JUMPS UP AND DOWN WITH AIR CONDITIONING ON. THIS DIDN'T OCCUR WHEN OTHER BLAZERS WERE DRIVEN. ABSOLUTELY NO PICKUP EVEN AT HIGHER SPEEDS. THIS CREATES A SIGNIFICANT PROBLEM WHEN IN HIGHWAY TRAFFIC. ENGINE CHECK LIGHT CAME ON AT 1400 MILES, STAYED ON. BROUGHT IN TO DEALER, CLAIMED AN EVAPORATION PROBLEM AND HOSE WAS "KINKED" AT A 90 DEGREE ANGLE. SUPPOSEDLY FIXED PROBLEM, YET STILL HAVE SIGNIFICANT POWER LOSS. EXTREMELY POOR GAS MILEAGE.*AK
PROBLEM: THE TRANSMISSION POPS OUT OF FIRST GEAR, SOMETIMES IMMEDIATELY AND SOMETIMES AFTER STARTING AWAY WHICH OFTEN CAUSES THE CARS BEHIND ME TO NEARLY REAR END ME. DEALER HAS BEEN ADVISED AND PARTS HAVE BEEN ORDERED. MY CONCERN IS THE LONG TERM SAFETY AND INTEGRITY OF THE UNIT. THE PROBLEM OCCURS ESPECIALLY AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN IN HEAVY TRAFFIC; THAT IS A TIME WHEN THE CHANCES OF BEING INJURED BY OUR CRACK LEGION OF AGGRESSIVE URBAN DRIVERS IS GREATEST. YOU'D THINK AFTER 100 YEARS OF MANUFACTURING MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS THAT PERFECTION WOULD HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED BY NOW. LASTLY, I'M NOT CRAZY ABOUT BEING A POTENTIAL CRASH TEST DUMMY FOR A PROBLEM WHICH SHOULD BE AUTOMATICALLY REPLACED, NOT PATCHED.

CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 35MPH AND WAS ENTERING FREEWAY WHEN VEHICLE STARTED TO ACELLERATE AND ENGINE JUST RISE UP, LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL, AND VEHICLE DECREASED SPEED. TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED INSIDE OF VEHICLE . DEALERSHIP WAS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM THERE WERE SEVERAL INCIDENTS HAPPENING ON THIS VEHICLE.*AK THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO THE DEALER FIVE TIMES FOR THIS PROBLEM. EACH TIME THE DEALER REPLACED DIFFERENT COMPONENT AIR FLOW SENSOR, FUEL PUMP AND TRANSMISSION. THE PROVLEM STILL REOCCURS AND THE DEALER CAN NOT FIND THE CAUSE. *YH
