WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, HEADLIGHTS WILL FLASH ON AND OFF. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER CONTACTED.*AK CONSUMER STATES THE SHIFT INDICATOR LIGHT AND INFORMATION CONSOLE LIGHT GO ON AND OFF OR DO NOT RESPOND, DAYLIGHT RUNNING LIGHTS SWITCH FROM NIGHT TO DAYTIME MODE AT ANYTIME, THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH WAS REPLACED ALONG WITH THE SENSOR FOR THE DAYLIGHT RUNNING LIGHTS AND CONSUMER HAS NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS AS OF YET. *JB
THE FUEL GAUGE ALMOST NEVER READS LESS THAN 5/8 FULL. EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS, IT WILL SHOW EMPTY (WHEN EMPTY), MONENTARILY, BUT THEM BOUNCE BACK TO 5/8 FULL. THE DEALER REPLACED THE GAUGE CLUSTER TWICE UNDER WARRANTY, AND IT FAILED AGAIN IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. I MET ANOTHER PERSON WHO BOUGHT A 2001 WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. *AK
I LEARNED OF A RECALL OF 2000 AND 2001 GM VEHICLES RELATING TO BRAKE LIGHT FAILURE. I CONTACTED GM AND THEY REFUSE TO HONOR OR ISSUE RECALL STATING MY VEHICLE IS NOT AFFECTED OR COVERED BY VIN. IT'S REAR BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT WORK DESPITE REPLACEMENT OF ALL BULBS AND FUSES. *AK
URN SIGNALS AND BRAKE LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING. DEALER DETERMINED THAT EMERGENCY FLASHER SWITCH HAD FAILED. *AK
RECALL 01 V 364 000/ MULTIFUCTION SWITCH FAILURE CAUSED STOP LIGHT AND HAZARD LIGHTS TO FAIL. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED AT THIS TIME.*AK CONSUMER STATES THAT BOTH STOPLIGHTS AND HAZARD LIGHTS ARE NOT FUNCTIONAL, DEALER AND MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR RECALL BASED ON VIN. *YD
WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WITH ENGINE OFF A FIRE STATRED IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL SHORT. *AK *JB
MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH HAS FAILED TWICE ON A 2000 MODEL CHEVY BLAZER. THE FIRST TIME WAS AT 33939 MILEAGE IN MARCH 01. WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRENTY. THIS SAME MULTIFUCITON SWITCH FAILED AGAIN IN DEC. 01 AT 48659 MILEAGE. HAD TO FILE CLAIM WITH EXTENDED WARRENTY, DEALER TOLD ME THE PART WAS ONLY GOOD FOR 12MONTHS/12K MILESAGE. I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS SWITCH SHOULD BE MALFUNCTIONING AT THIS INTERVAL AND THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT. THE BRAKE LIGHTS NO LONG WORK AND THERE IS NO WARNING OF THIS SAFTY PROBLEM, SOMEONE HAD TO STOP ME IN TRAFFIC TO TELL ME I HAD NO BRAKE LIGHTS. THE DEALER ALSO INFORMED ME THAT MANY OTHER CHEVY BLAZERS HAVE BEEN IN WITH THE SAME SWITCH FAILURE BUT NO BULLENTINS HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY GM. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN AGAIN IN ANOTHER 15K MILES OR LESS. THIS IS A REAL SAFTY ISSUE BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO BRAKE LIGHTS AND HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING THIS.*AK
THROTTLE STUCK WHILE DRIVING. CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKES, AND VEHICLE WOULD SLOW DOWN. AS SOON AS CONSUMER STOPPED APPLYING BRAKES VEHICLE ACCELERATED BACK TO 35 MPH. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER, BUT NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND. *AK
BALL JOINTS ARE LOOSE AND MAKE A KNOCKING NOISE WHEN DRIVING VEHICLE. CONTACTED DEALER, AND THE DEALER IS NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING.*AK *NLM
1-RECLINE HANDLES ON THE FRONT SEATS 2-BACK WIPER DON'T WORK 3-WINDOW CLEANER LEAKS ON THE REAR WINDOW 4-REPLACED FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER AND/OR UPPER BALL JOINTS TWICE IN 1 YEAR (MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT THEY SEE THIS ALL THE TIME) 5-REAR WINDOW LATCH WON'T OPEN. *JB
WHILE DRIVING THE FUEL GAUGE FAILS TO INDICATE THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF FUEL IN VEHICLE, AT TIMES THE NEEDLE WOULD INDICATE A FULL TANK WHEN IT WAS EMPTY OR VICE VERSA. *TS *NLM
THE PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW FAILS TO GO EITHER UP OR DOWN WHEN THE BUTTON IS DEPRESSED. THE WINDOWS WOULD BECOME STUCK IN EITHER THE UP OR DOWN POSITION FOR 1/2 HOUR OR MORE BEFORE IT WOULD FUNCTION AGAIN. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM . *TS *NLM

WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED, PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR/SPEED APPROX. 15MPH./VEH. IN OFF POSITION/PEDAL HIGH/ONCE IGNITION APPLIED/PEDAL GOES TO FLOOR/POLICE REPORT VERIFIED THIS AS PER ATT ACHED/CARIBBEAN AUTO MART DID ALL SERVICING/COMPLAINTS ABOUT BRAKE PROBLEM ONGOING AND CONSISTENT. *AK
DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEAT RECLINER HANDLE BROKE OFF WITHIN TWO DAYS OF EACH OTHER. CAN NOT ADJUST SEAT BACK TO PROPER/SAFE DRIVING POSITION. SEAT CONTINUES TO RECLINE BACKWARDS MAKING IT UN-SAFE TO DRIVE. CONTACTED DEALER WHILE UNDER WARRANTY. THEY WOULD NOT FIX WITHOUT CHARGES. HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS DEFECTS ON THIS CONDITION POSTED ON THE BULLITIN BOARDS AND PROVIDED THE DEALER WITH THIS AND THEY STILL WOULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEMS WITHOUT CHARGING ME. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY TO GET THIS FIXED WHEN THERE IS AN APPARENT DEFECT IN THIS PRODUCT. DT
WHEN VEHICLE HITS A BUMP, THE STEERING GETS VERY LOOSE. CONSUMER FEELS UNSAFE BECAUSE IF BALL JOINTS BREAK FROM STEERING WHEEL BEING SO LOOSE, THIS COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. *AK *JB
MY CHEVY BLAZER'S DRIVERS DOOR WAS REPAIRED WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRENTY. IT IS BREAKING OFF. MY WARRENTY EXPIRED 3 MTHS LATER AS THE DOOR HAD BROKEN AGAIN. THE CHEVY DEALER REFUSED TO REPAIR IT. I BELEIVE THE CAR WAS N A FLOOD BEFORE I BOUGHT IT AND THEY DID NOT TELL ME BECAUSE THE DOOR HINGES ARE ALL RUSTED AND BROKEN. THEY CHANGED MY ALARM SYSTEM AND IT HAS NEVER WORKED PROPERLY. IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE AUTOMATIC SHUT DOWN IF KEY NOT PUT IN TO START

WE HAVE HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE.WE CAN NOT GET ANY SATISFACTION THRU THE DEALER OR CHEVROLET.WE FIRST HAD A 1999 BLAZER.WE HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH IT THEY PUT US IN A 2000 BLAZER.WE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS AND MORE.ON THE 1999 BLAZER WE HAD TO REPLACE THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH.IT WENT OUT AND LEFT MY WIFE STRANDED.WE HAD TO REPLACE ALL THE DOOR PANELS BECAUSE OF EXCESSIVE NOISE.WE HAD TO RPLACE THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE.T 47,000 MILES THE REAREND WENT OUT.N THE 2000 BLAZER THEY PUT US IN ,WE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE SEAT LEVERS.AT 34,000 MILES THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT.WE HA TO REPLACE THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH ON THIS VEHICLE TOO.THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE CHEVROLET PLACE TOLD US THAT ANYONE DRIVING THESE VEHICLES WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THIS SWITCH.THERE WERE 5 OTHER BLAZERS IN THE SHOP FOR THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN WE TOOK OURS IN.ONE OF THEM ONLY HAD 4,000 MILES ON IT.CHEVROLET KNOWS THIS PROBLEMS EXSISTS BUT WILL NOT ADMIT IT FOR FEAR OF A RECALL.THIS MULTIFUNCTION SWICH CONTROLS AL YOUR LIGHTS AND IGNITION.IT CAN FAIL AND LEAVE YOU STRANDED WITH NO WARNINING.WE HAVE HAD NO LUCK IN DEALING WITH CHEVROLET.THEY TOLD US TO JUST KEEP BRINGING IT IN WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH IT.WE DIDNT PAY 27,000 DOLLARS FOR A VEHICLE THAT WE ARE AFRIAD TO DRIVE.IT NOW SITS IN OUR YARD AND WE ARE NOT MAKING THE PAYMENTS.THAY CAN COME GET THE PIECE OF JUNK.ITS NO WONDER PEOPLE ARE FED UP WITH AMERICAN CAR MAKERS. *AK
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING DOWN A ONE WAY AND A LADY BLEW THROUGH A STOP SIGN OUT IN FRONT OF MY WIFE. MY WIFE HIT HERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LADIES CAR AT 35MPH. MY WIFE WAS NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT AT THE TIME DUE TO THE FACT IT HAD STOPPED WORKING THE NIGHT BEFORE. SHE WAS ON HER WAY TO THE DEALER SHIP AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. ON IMPACT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY ON THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER SIDE. THE DOORS ON THE VEHICLE LOCKED. A PERSON CAME TO GET MY WIFE OUT OF THE SUV BUT THEY COULD NOT DUE TO THE DOORS LOCKING. I WOULD THINK THAT IN A 35MPH CRASH THAT DID APPROX. $8000 OF DAMAGE THAT THE AIR BAG WOULD HVE GONE OFF. I HOPE THIS CAN BE SOLVED. THANK YOU.*AK

WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 50 MPH A RED LIGHT FLASHED, INDICATING SOMETHING WITH BATTERY. VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED, AND POWER STEERING WENT OUT. VEHICLE STALLED 7 TIMES THAT SAME DAY. CONSUMER FELT THERE COULD HAVE BEEN A REAR END COLLISION.*AK DEALER REPLACED FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH, FUEL PUMP, AND MODULE. *SLC
CONSUMER NOTICED A BURNED AREA ON THE CEILING, THE DEALER STATED THAT IT WAS CAUSED FROM THE SUN REFLECTING OFF OF MIRROR.*JB
EVERY PLACE I HAVE CONTACTED ABOUT THESE REPAIRS HAS STATED THEY ARE AWARE OF THESE TWO PRODUCT-WIDE PART DEFECTS. PER SCOTT AT DARRYL BURKE, THE MF SWITCH HAS BEEN GOING OUT ON MOST AFFECTED VEHICLES, WHICH HAS BEEN A PRODUCT-WIDE FAILURE, PRIOR TO THE 36OOO MILE WARRANTY LIMIT. PER JR AT ATLANTIC AVE. TIRE IN CARY, NC, 919 872-0786, HE AND HIS SUPPLIER ARE AWARE OF THE BROAD MF SWITCH FAILURES WHICH CAUSE LOSS OF REAR BRAKE LIGHTS AND COULD NOW BE THE MAIN FACTOR CONTRIBUTING TO MANY ACCIDENTS. ALSO,SCOTT AT DARRYL BURKE'S SVC DEPT TOLD ME TODAY NOT TO BOTHER SPENDING $340 TO REPLACE THE SEAT ADJ LEVERS AS THEY WILL JUST BREAK AGAIN AS THERE HAS NOT BEEN A PRODUCT UPGRADE ISSUED TO FIX THE ROOT CAUSE OF THIS PRODUCT WIDE PROBLEM. IF THE SEAT CAN NOT BE ADJUSTED SO THAT THE DRIVER IS COMFORTABLE AND HAS OPTIMUM VISIBILITY, THIS PROBLEM CAN CONTRIBUTE TO DRIVER ERROR AND ACCIDENTS.*AK
WHEN THE COMFORT CONTROL SYSTEM MODE KNOB IS TURNED TO THE OFF POSITION, THE FRONT FLOOR OUTLETS DIRECT HOT AIR THROUGH THESE LOWER VENTS. MOVING THE TEMPERATURE KNOB TO BLUE (COLDEST AREA) HAS NO EFFECT. WARM HOT AIR CONTINUES TO VENT WITH SYSTEM IN OFF POSITION. WHILE THE OWNER'S MANUEL ADVISES THAT WHEN MODE KNOB IS IN THE OFF POSITION "SOME OUTSIDE AIR WILL STILL ENTER THE VEHICLE". IT IS VERY HOT AIR NOT OUTSIDE AIR THAT ENTERS THE VEHICLE. THE ONLY WAY TO ISOLATE THE HOT AIR IS TO NEVER SELECT "OFF" ON MODE SWITCH, AND SELECTING EITHER AIR CONDITIONING OR VENT POSITION (SELECTING THE LATTER SHUTS OFF THE HOT AIR FLOOR VENTS BUT THEN INSTRUMENT PANEL VENTS MUST BE INDIVIDUALLY CLOSED TO STOP AIR FLOW . I HAVE HAD MY VEHICLE IN TWICE FOR THIS PROBLEM AND WAS ADVISED "NPF, NO PROBLEM FOUND". I BELIEVE ONE SERVICE MANAGER WAS MOST CORRECT IN ADVISING THAT THIS WAS A DESIGN FAULT BY CHEVROLET. I CONFIRMED THAT THERE ARE QUITE A NUMBER OF BLAZER OWNERS IN WEB SITE AUTO CHAT ROOM THAT ARE FRUSTRATED WITH THIS FLAW. MY MAIN CONCERN IS THAT THE AIR IS SO HOT THAT EVEN WHEN ARTIFICIALLY ISLOTED BY NON-STANDARD VENTILATION CONTROL SELECTIONS, THERE MAY BE DAMAGE UNDER THE PANELS OR TO THE VENTILATION OR ELECTRICAL SYTEMS. *AK
TOLD BY DEALER'S SERVICE DEPT. WE HAVE TO PAY APPROX. $ 800.00 TO HAVE THE FREQUENCY PART OF SECURITY PANIC SYSTEM REPLACED. VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER FULL WARRANTY. THE HORN IS CONSTANTLY GOING OFF AT VARIOUS PLACES. I HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE HORN FUSE IN ORDER TO KEEP BATTERY FROM BEING RUN DOWN. WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS?*AK
VEHICLE IS 18 MONTHS OLD AND ALREADY HAVING PROBLEMS WITH BRAKES PULSATING. GMC HAD CONSUMER GO TO DEALER SO THEY COULD CONFIRM WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. CONSUMER WENT TO MIDAS, AND THEY FOUND REAR BRAKE ROTORS CORRODED, AND PADS HAD GROOVES CUT IN PASSAGE. *AK DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT ROADTEST VEHICLE OR VISUALLY INSPECT IT, CONSUMER HAD ROTORS AND PADS REPLACED AT MIDAS. *SLC
THE HEAD LIGHT FLICKERED AND HAD GONE OUT, THE ENGINE SURGED AT 59 MPH, AND THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED AN OIL LEAKED, WHEN THE TURN SIGNAL WAS ACTIVATED,THE RADIO WENT GO OUT, AND THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL ON THE HEADLIGHT HAD GONE OUT. MR SCC *JB
SEAT HANDLE/ADJUSTER SNAPPED OFF WHILE TRYING TO ADJUST SEAT. IT HAD BEEN DIFFICULT TO USE EVER SINCE I GOT IT, AND VERY RARELY COULD I ACTUALLY GET THE SEAT TO RECLINE. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM SUCH AS THIS EVER BEFORE IN ANY OF MY OTHER VEHICLES, AND IT IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING THAT I CAN'T GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER FROM ANYONE ABOUT THIS. *AK
SINCE PURCHASE OF VEHICLE OCT 2000 I HAVE BEEN IN THE SHOP 35 X FOR MANUFACTURING PROBLEMS. ONGOING PROBLEMS INCLUDE DIMMING OF HEADLIGHTS AT ANY GIVEN TIME AND FLICKERING OF CLOCK/RADIO DISPLAY AT ANY GIVEN TIME. SERVICE ATTEMPTED TO FIX THE DIMMING AND FLICKERING BY REPLACING THE ALTERNATOR, BUT IT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY ARE NOW UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. IT TOOK SERVICE 5 ATTEMPTS TO FIX TAILLIGHT WATER RETENTION PROBLEM (THEY SEALED THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY). THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL FLUID WAS REPORTEDLY LOW FROM FACTORY CAUSING A GRINDING SOUND IN MY GEARS (IT TOOK 2 ATTEMPTS TO FIX THAT PROBLEM). SINCE THAT DIFFERENTIAL PROBLEM, I HAVE HAD A CLUNK BETWEEN 2ND & 3RD GEARS (SERVICE IS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM).
DRIVER'S SEAT FAILED TO LOCK IN PLACE. WOULD MOVE WHENEVER BRAKING OR ACCELERATING. TAKEN TO DEALER, AND INFORMED BY MECHANIC A BOLT IN SEAT HAD COME LOOSE, AND IT WOULD NEED TO BE RETIGHTENED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 60MPH ENGINE SHUT OFF, CAUSING LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND BRAKES.*AK CONSUMER STATES THE BRAKES ARE SENSITIVE AND GRAB QUICKLY, DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE CONCERN, ALSO THERE WAS AN OIL LEAK, THE DEALER REPLACED A CRACKED OIL PAN.*JB
WINDSHIELD WIPERS DID NOT WORK, DEALER DETERMINED THAT WINDSHIELD WIPER WIRING HAD NOT BEEN CONNECTED AND HAD BURNED OUT THE FUSES.*AK
OIL PRESSURE DROPPED FROM 40 TO 20 TO 0. THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE THE CAMSHAFT SHIFTED WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE TO BE REPLACED BEFORE THE CAR WAS A YEAR OLD AND I AM STILL HAVING HTE PROBLEM WITH THE CAR RUNNING POORLY AND GETTING LOUSY GAS MILEAGE.*AK
I HAD THE FRONT RECLINER FIXED AND AT A LATER DATE HAD THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT RECLINER FIXED. NOW 22 MONTHS LATER THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT RECLINER IS BROKEN AGAIN. I AM NOT ROUGH WITH MY SEATS AND I THINK THAT THIS IS REDICULOUS THAT THESE KEEP BREAKING. THE COST TO GET THESE FIXED IS AROUND 140.00 EACH. I DON'T THINK THAT I WILL EVER BUY ANOTHER CHEVY PRODUCT AGAIN. I DON'T BELEIVE THAT THIS SHOULD BE SOMETHING THAT I SHOULD HAVE TO FIX EVERY 2 YEARS.*AK
BRAKE LIGHTS COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. THIS WAS SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. THEY WILL STOP WORKING AND THEN THEY WILL START TO WORK AGAIN. *AK THE HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS ARE ALSO NOT WORKING. YD
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE HAS BEEN HIT IN THE BACK 3 TIMES DUE TO HAVING NO BRAKES LIGHT BECAUSE OF A FAULTY BRAKE SWITCH, THEY WERE UN AWARE THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE BRAKES LIGHTS.

NO NOTIFICATION OF ANY RECALLS OR SERVICE BULLITINS, BROKEN SEAT, LIGHTS, FRONT SUSPENSION PARTS, WOULD NOT HONOR WARRANTY. *AK
HEADLIGHTS WERE GOING ON AND OFF WHILE TRAVELING DOWN DARK CURVED ROAD. LIGHT FLICKERED SO MUCH THAT CONSUMER WAS TRYING TO PULL OVER AND STRUCK A TREE HEAD-ON, AND ROLLED OVER ONCE. ABS BRAKES HAD FAILED. AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. GMC FILED A COMPLAINT. *AK
4/8 I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND IT JUST DIED OUT AS IF IT WAS OUT OF GAS. THERE WAS STILL POWER TO THE RADIO/LIGHTS ECT. THE ENGINE WOULD CRANK BUT NOT KICK OVER. THE ENGINE WOULD NOT REV UPON PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR. IT WAS TAKEN TO DLR CHEVY73 BY GM ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. ON 4/9, AROUND 2:30PM I SPOKE W/ CAROLYN TIRELLI-SERVICE ADVISOR, WHO AT FIRST SAID THERE WAS NOT WORD OF THE REPAIR. THEN STATED SHE SAW THE TEC PULLING THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE SERVICE BAY. SHE ADVISED IT APPEARED HE WAS WRAPPING UP THE REPAIR JOB. AT 4PM SERVICE ADVISOR STEVE LAMBROSE CALLED AND ADVISED THE TEC TOOK THE CAR OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE. SAID TEC SAW A SPARK, SMOKE THEN CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. TRIED TO STATE TEC HAD DONE NO REPAIR. CONTRARY TO WHAT CAROLYN TIRELLI ADVISED EARLIER. ADVISED FIRE DEPT WAS CALLED C. DEALER CLAIMS TO NOT KNOW WHAT PROBLEM WAS AT ALL. NO FINDINGS. CAR SMELLS LIKE ELECTRICAL FIRE. BUT ORIGINAL SYMPTOMS/FAILURE SEEM MORE LIKE FUEL LINE PROBLEM. NO PRIOR FAILURES OR WARNINGS. NO WARNING LIGHTS, STALL OUTS OR ANY INDICATION ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. I OR ANY PASSENGERS COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED THE WAY THIS OCCURRED. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED ABOUT 7 MONTHS AGO BUT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE OR CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *AK THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE SHRUDDERING AND SLIPPAGE OF THE TRANSMISSION AT 23863. THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL PINION SEAL LEAKED, THE CHECK LIGHT WAS REPLACED DUE TO THE MALFUNCTIONING SWITCH, THE BRAKE LIGHT HAD BECOME INOPERATIVE DUE TO AN OPEN CIRCUIT, THE HEATING SEAT WAS INOPERATIVE, THERE WAS A RATTLE IN RIGHT FRONT SUSPENSION, THE TRANSMISSION HAD NO REVERSE, AND THERE WAS HARD SHIFTING INTO THE FORWARD GEARS. *SCC
DT: THERE HAS BEEN A CONSTANT PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES SINCE CONSUMER PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. WHEN APPLYING BRAKE PRESSURE THE BRAKES CHATTER/JUMP, AND SHAKE WITHIN THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE STOPS WHEN THIS OCCURS. THIS CAN HAPPEN AT BOTH HIGH AND LOW SPEEDS WHEN APPLYING BRAKE PRESSURE. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO A DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THIS PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER DOES NOT KNOW WHAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE, BUT DOES REMEMBER SOMETHING ABOUT CALIPERS AND CORROSION. THIS IS STILL A PROBLEM. THERE IS A RECALL ON SOME CHEVROLET VEHICLES INVOLVING THE ABS, BUT CONSUMER'S VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. *AK

BROUGHT VEHICLE TO DEALER AFTER I HAD AN OIL CHANGE AT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. MECHANIC TOLD ME I SHOULD TAKE TRUCK BACK TO DEALER SINCE MY REAR SHOCKS WERE VERY WET (LEAKING) AND THEY ARE SEALED AND SHOULD NOT LEAK. BROUGHT TO DEALER, NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO LOOK AT IT (SINCE THEY'D PROBABLY HAVE TO REPLACE THEM SINCE THEY WERE UNDER WARRANTY) BUT TOLD ME "CHEVROLET HAS STATED THAT A LITTLE SEEPAGE IS NORMAL". PROBLEM CONTINUES NOW, WITH 43K MILES ON IT, AND THEY ARE FAR FROM "A LITTLE WET" - BUT COMPLETELY BLACK (AND THEY'RE YELLOW SHOCKS) - CONSTANTLY WET, AND TRUCK RIDES LIKE THERE ARE NO SHOCKS. WILL BRING BACK TO DEALER AGAIN, AND OF COURSE, NOW IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY, GUARANTEE HE'LL TELL ME THEIR BAD.*AK
