THE FUEL GUAGE IN MY 2000 CHEVY BLAZER STOPPED WORKING CAUSING ME TO RUN OUT OF FUEL WITH MY 4 YEAR OLD SON IN THE VEHICLE. I ALSO HAD A 1996 CHEVY BLAZER AND THE FUEL GUAGE STOPPED WORKING (MY FATHER NOW OWNS THIS VEHICLE). I CONTACTED CHEVROLET AND THEY CLAIMED THAT THEY HAVE NO REPORTS OF FUEL GUAGES THAT STOP WORKING. A VERY CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE WHO WORKED FOR CHEVROLET FOR 20 YEARS TOLD ME THAT THIS IS NOT TRUE. APPARENTLY THE FINGERS ON THE SENDING UNIT WERE FALLING OFF CAUSING THE GUAGE TO NOT WORK.
ANOTHER OF OUR GENERAL MOTORS FLEET HAS AN INTAKE GASKET LEAK. THIS IS FOUR WITHIN A YEAR ON SEPARATE CHEVROLET OR GMC VEHICLES. ALL HAVE A 4.3 L ENGINE, AND ALL ARE 1994 THROUGH 2001 MODEL YEARS. ALL HAVE BETWEEN 75,000 AND 120,000 MILES. ALL HAVE THE FACTORY TYPE COOLANT DEXCOOL. *AK
TOYO A/T OPEN COUNTRY TIRES, P235/70R15. 2 OF THESE TIRES BLEW OUT THE ENTIRE SIDEWALL WHILE DRIVING IN THE PAST 5 MONTHS. CONSUMER HAD THEM BOTH REPLACED WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND OF TIRES. *AK
2000 CHEVROLET BLAZER HAD BALL JOINTS REPLACED.*MR *JB
I PURCHASED MY 2000 BLAZER LS 2DR 4X4 WITH 58000 MILES. AT SPEEDS AROUND 65-70, IT VIBRATES PRETTY HARSHLY. I HAVE BRAND NEW TIRES, BREAKS, AND MY U-JOINTS AND BEARINGS HAVE BEEN INSPECTED AND FOUND TO BE FINE. STILL HAVE VIBRATION. I HAVE NOTICED VIA THE INTERNET THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH BLAZER'S AND IT IS JUST A DEFECT IN THE WAY THE DRIVETRAIN WAS BUILT. I FEEL THAT THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AND REPAIRED BY GM. ALSO AT 58000 MILES I HAD TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATER. I SPOKE WITH THE PERSON WHO I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FROM AND THEY SAID THAT THEY HAD REPLACED IT ONCE ALSO, THEREFORE THIS WOULD BE THE 3RD ALTERNATER IN UNDER 60000 MILES.
HAD FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL HUB (WHEEL BEARING) ASSEMBLY REPLACED IN OCTOBER 2004. IN MARCH 2005 SAME WHEEL BEARING FAILED WHICH NEEDED REPLACED AGAIN. NOW ON THE DRIVER SIDE THE WHEEL BEARING IS MAKING NOISE. I LOOKED INTO THIS AND ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES AND WHEEL BEARINGS. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AS THE WHEEL BEARING HOLDS ON THE FRONT WHEEL THUS COULD CAUSE WHEEL TO FALL OFF WHILE DRIVING.
THE "BLINKING NOISE" OF MY BLINKER WON'T STOP. THE BLINKERS WORK OKAY BUT THE CLICKING WILL RANDOMLY CLICK. 2000 CHEVY BLAZER
WHILE DRIVING 2 MPH DRIVER NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. DRIVER PULLED OVER, AND THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR INSPECTION. HOWEVER, THE CAUSE HAD NOT BEEN DETERMINED AT THIS TIME. *AK
I JUST PURCHASED A 2000 BLAZER ZR2, WHEN THE GAS GAUGE HITS 3/4 TANK, THE GAUGE WILL BOUNCE BACK AND FORTH FROM EMPTY TO FULL. I NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH GAS I REALLY HAVE, WHICH COULD CAUSE A REAL SAFETY ISSUE TO MYSELF, LET ALONE THE HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS IT WOULD TAKE TO REPLACE THE FAULY SENSOR. I'VE FOUND THAT LOTS OF GM CONSUMERS ALSO HAVE THIS PROBLEM, WHICH I FEEL GM SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACEMENT. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 56000 MILES.*AK
SMOKE AND RADIATOR FUMES POURING FROM THE DEFROST AND AIR CONDITIONER VENTS.SO MUCH CONDENSATION ON WINDSHIELD MAKES VISIBILITY DIFFICULT. BREATHING RADIATOR FUMES AND FLUID POSING SERIOUS HEALTH RISK TO MY CHILDREN. SON HAD BEEN SPITTING UP BLOOD AND COMPLAINING OF HAVING DIFFICULTY WITH BREATHING BEFORE WE COULD DETERMINE IT WAS FROM THE VEHICLE ALSO CAUSES THROAT IRRITATION. THERE ARE NO INDICATOR LIGHTS ON AND THE VEHICLE WAS JUST PURCHASED ON 1/3/2005 WITH 100603 MILES.

DT: CONTACT STATES THE FUEL GAUGE IS NOT CONSISTENT IN THE READINGS. IT DOES NOT MEASURE THE GASOLINE CORRECTLY. A MECHANIC STATED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITHIN THE ELECTRONIC WIRING THAT DEALS WITH THE COMPUTER TO THE FUEL GAUGE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN SERVICED FOR THIS PROBLEM.*AK
FRONT WHEEL BEARING HAVE WORE OUT. AS A RESULT, THE ABS SENSOR LIGHT STAYED ON. THE CAUSE HAS YET TO BE DETERMINED. *AK
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN MY CAR MADE A POP SOUND AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I PULLED INTO A GAS STATION AND WENT TO LEAVE AND HAD NO REVERSE. HARD TO SHIFT FROM 1ST TO 2ND. THE CAR ONLY HAS 72000 MILES ON IT.*AK
2000 BLAZER RAN OUT OF GAS ON THE HIGHWAY. THE FUEL GAUGE WAS ON FULL. THIS WAS AT 9PM AT NIGHT. *TR
FRONT DOOR HINGES ON 2000 S-10 BLAZER HAVE ROTTED. DRIVER HINGE IN 2002, NOW PASSENGER HINGE (BOTH FRONT DOORS) IN JANUARY OF 05. DOOR HINGES BOTH NEEDED REPLACEMENT WHICH SEEMS EXTREMELY ODD ON FAIRLY NEW VEHICLE. RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET SHOWS THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND PROBABLY JUST DON'T KNOW WHERE TO REPORT IT SIMULATANEOUSLY. IT'S FAILURE RESULTS IN THE INABILITY TO CLOSE THE DOORS, WHICH, DEPENDING ON WHEN THEY BREAK (I.E. WHEN CLOSING DOOR, HITTING A BUMP IN ROAD - WHICH COULD CAUSE CLOSED DOOR TO UNLATCH FROM POST, FLINGING DOOR OPEN WHILE DRIVING). I REALLY STRONGLY SUGGEST THIS BE LOOKED AT. IT APPEARS THAT THE WHEEL WELLS ALLOW ROAD SPRAY AND MOISTURE TO BE THROWN DIRECTLY INTO THE DOOR PANEL WELL WHERE THE HINGE IS LOCATED AND IS CAUSING THE ROT. LOOKS LIKE A MAJOR MANUFACTURING DEFECT TO NOT SEAL THE DOOR HINGE AREA FROM THE WHEEL SPRAY AND DEBRIS THROW-BACK ZONE.*AK
MY BLAZER NOW HAS 56,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT IT IS IN NEED OF FRONT END REPAIR - SPECIFICALLY THE BALL JOINTS ARE BADLY WORN, THE BOOTS ON THE FROND AXLE HAVE A BAD CRACK ON THE RIGHT SIDE, AND THERE IS SIGNIFICANT IDLER WEAR. IN DOING RESEARCH, I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT NUMEROUS BLAZER OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED SIMILAR PROBLEMS. I FEEL THIS IS A DESIGN DEFECT. I HAVE ALSO HAD TWO OTHER ISSUES THAT I AM NOW DISCOVERING ARE COMMON PROBLEMS WITH A GREAT NUMBER OF BLAZERS. BOTH FRONT RECLINING SEAT HANDLES HAVE BROKEN OFF. I AM ALSO EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE DOORS SEEMING TO NOT ALIGN PROPERLY - AS IF THE WELDS OR HINGES ARE FAILING. THESE HAVE ALSO BEEN MENTIONED REPEATEDLY IN YOUR COMPLAIN AREA FOR THIS MODEL. I HAVE NOT GOTTEN THESE ITEMS REPAIRED AS OF THIS DATE. THE BLAZER IS NOW PARKED UNTIL I CAN AFFORD TO GET IT FIXED. *NM
WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED A FIRE STARTED IN THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH. *AK THE CONSUMER STATED EVER SINCE THE INCIDENT HAPPENED, THE ABS AND BRAKE LIGHT STAY ON. THE DEALER STATED THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES. *JB
THE TRUCK SLID ON A PATCH OF ICE 100 YARDS AFTER MERGING ONTO THE INNER STATE. THIS RESULTED IN THE CONSUMER LOSING CONTROL OF THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK FRONT DRIVER SIDE IMPACTED A CONCRETE BRIDGE; THEN SWUNG AROUND;THE REAR DRIVER SIDE HIT THE BRIDGE; THIS THREW THE TRUCK INTO THE RIGHT HAND LANE, INTO THE GUARD RAIL , IMPACTING THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE; THEN THE TRUCK BOUNCED TO THE LEFT HAND LANE AND IMPACTED THE GUARD RAIL HEAD ON. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED UPON IMPACT. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED SEVERE INJURIES TO THEIR NECK, BACK, AND LEFT SHOULDER. *NM
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET BLAZER. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE VIBRATED. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL BEARINGS FAILED AND HE MADE THE REPLACEMENT. APPROXIMATELY TWO MONTHS LATER, THE FAILURE RECURRED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE WHEEL BEARINGS WERE REPLACED AGAIN. APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR LATER, THE FAILURE RECURRED ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL BEARINGS. THE BEARINGS WERE REPLACED FOR THE THIRD TIME. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,500 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 93,000.
THE FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT WORK. IT WILL GO TO FULL WHEN THE FUEL TANK IS FILLED BUT WHEN IT GETS TO APPROXIMATELY HALF EMPTY, IT FLUCTUATES AND THE GAUGE NEVER MOVES HALF. THIS HAS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO RUN OUT OF FUEL SEVERAL TIMES.
IN A 2000 CHEVROLET BLAZER, 40000 MILES. 4 WHEEL DRIVE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL ACTUATOR FAILED TO ENGAGE AND WAS LOCKED IN 4 LOW GEARING. UPON INSPECTION IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ACTUATOR HAD CORRODED TO THE POINT THAT IT NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE QUOTE FROM THE DEALER WAS OVER $500 FOR REPLACEMENT PART. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER REPRESENTATIVES MADE COMMENTS REGARDING THE FREQUENCY OF SAID PROBLEM WHEN QUESTIONED.*AK
I HAVE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS, THE GAS GAUGE ON MY VEHICLE STOP WORKING AND I RAN OUT OF GAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET WHEN I REALIZED PROBLEM 2 THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS AND HAZARD LIGHTS DO NOT WORK. THE OTHER PROBLEM IS THE VEHICLE STALLS, AND WHEN IT FINALLY TAKE OFF, THE CAR JERKS AND THE DRIVER SEAT MOVES/SLIDES BACK FROM THE HINGES WHICH CAUSED ME TO NOT BE ABLE TO REACH MY BREAKS AND RUN INTO A CURB. ALSO THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR STICKS AND IS DIFFICULT TO OPEN. LASTLY THE WHEEL BARING AND BALL JOINTS HAVE GONE BAD TWICE AND THE CAR HAS LESS THEN 75000 MILES ON IT. I CALLED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND EXPLAINED ALL OF MY CONCERNS AND WAS TOLD THEY WE NOT AWARE OF ANY NATIONWIDE PROBLEM AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO EXCEPT FIX THE HAZARD LIGHT MALFUNCTION. I RESEARCHED ON THE NET AND FOUND MANY MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINING OF THE SAME CONCERNS I HAVE. *JB
I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER AT MY CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP THAT THE BALL JOINTS ON MY 2000 BLAZER WERE IN EXTREMELY POOR CONDITION AND COULD FAIL AT ANY TIME. IN FACT HE SAID THAT THE WHEELS COULD FALL OFF THE CAR. THIS SEEMS LIKE QUITE A SAFETY ISSUE FOR A 4 YEAR OLD CAR WITH ONLY 30,000 MILES ON IT. HE ALSO SAID IT WAS NOT SURPRISING GIVEN THE LACK OF QUALITY PARTS USED BY CHEVROLET IN THE MANUFACTURING. WHILE LOOKING AT CUSTOMER REVIEWS / COMPLAINTS ON EDMUNDS.COM I NOTICE AT LEAST 2 MORE PEOPLE WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.*AK
I WAS DRIVING TO TEXAS OVER CHRISTMAS AND AFTER I STOPPED IN COLORADO AND GOT FUEL BY THE TIME I REACHED WICHITA KANSAS IS WHEN THE FUEL GAUGE STARTED TO STAY AT FULL WHEN I KNEW IT WAS ALMOST EMPTY. THE GAUGE BOUNCES AROUND WHEN IT IS IN PARK OR NEUTRAL. I TRAVEL A LOT AND IT MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO JUDGE JUST HOW FAR I CAN DRIVE BEFORE I HAVE TO REFUEL. NO REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE AS OF YET. *NM

CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER, WHO INFORMED CONSUMER THAT THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. CONSUMER WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT FOR PARTS AND LABOR. *AK WHILE ADJUSTING THE SEAT THE LATCH THAT GOES UP/DOWN BROKE THE SECOND TIME. CONSUMER PAID $100.00 DEDUCTIBLE TO GET IT REPAIRED. WHILE TRAVELING 20 MPH AND SITTING AT INTERSECTION CONSUMER ADJUSTED THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT AND SEAT LEVER SHEARED OFF. THE SEAT FAILED TO MOVE BACK AND FORTH ON ITS OWN. CONSUMER DRIVE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE SEAT LEVER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HOWEVER, WARRANTY EXPIRED. CONSUMER HAD TO PAY FOR PARTS AND LABOR. *AK
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN A HEARD A LOUD POP. THEN MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I GOT TO WORK AND MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO IN REVERSE. I CALL MY MECHANIC AND HAD MY VEHICLE TOWED. IT WAS MY TRANSMISSION THAT WENT AND IT ONLY HAS 50K MILES ON IT. IT COST ME 1,400 FOR THE TRANSMISSION,84.00 FOR THE TOW AND 102.00 FOR THE RENTAL. *NM
NOISE FROM ENGINE. DIAGNOSED AS BALL JOINTS NEED REPLACING OR WHEELS WILL FALL OFF. REPLACED UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS AND IDLER ARM FOR ABOUT 1200.00. NOW(JUNE 19, 2012) AT 100,000 MILES, SAME NOISE COMING FROM ENGINE COMPARTMENT. LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER BALL JOINT REPLACEMENT. *JS
(1) 2000 CHEVY BLAZER 4WD WITH 27665 MILES; PROPERLY MAINTAINED WITH IL AND LUBE EVERY 3,000 MILES, NO OFF ROAD OR ABUSIVE DRIVING AND I AM ORIGINAL OWNER AND BOUGHT NEW. (2) LAST MONTH BEGAN TO HEAR GROWLING NOISE FROM FRONT END WHICH GREW LOUDER WITH INCREASING SPEED. NOISE WOULD INCREASE EVEN LOUDER IF STEERING WHEEL MOVED TO RIGHT. (3) TOOK CAR TO DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME BOTH FRONT WHEEL BEARING WERE "SHOT" AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT, AND SAID THERE WAS DANGER WHEEL WOULD FALL OFF. I EXPRESSED CONCERN OVER SAFETY IF THIS WERE TO HAPPENED ON HIGHWAY AND SURPRISE THAT A WELL MAINTAINED VEHICLE WITH LOW MILEAGE WOULD HAVE THIS KIND OF PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THEY SEE THIS EVERY WEEK WITH OTHER GENERAL MOTORS VEHICLES WITH LOW MILEAGE. SOUNDS LIKE AN UNACCEPTABLY HIGH RATE OF MANUFACTURING DEFECT POTENTIALLY PLACING PEOPLE AT RISK AND CAUSING UNNECESSARY CONSUMER EXPENSE FOR REPAIR. *JB

WHILE DRIVING, THE CRANK SHAFT POSITION SENOR FAILED WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO HESITATE, BUCK BACK AND FORTH AND NEARLY STOP. *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE DANGEROUS FRONT END SUSPENSION DEFECTS WHICH FAILED INCLUDED A SECOND FRONT AXLE TUBE, FRONT AXLE BEARING FAILURE BOTH TIRE ROD ENDS FRONT DRIVE SHAFT. FRONT SUSPENSION HAS DEFECTS THAT COULD ALLOW THE WHEEL TO FALL OFF. CONSUMER WROTE A LETTER TO GM ABOUT THE PROBLEMS COMPLAINT NUMBER 1-245128909. *TC
ACCELERATOR STICKS WHEN APPLYING PRESSURE FROM A STOPPED POSITION REQUIRING EXTRA FORCE ON ACCELERATOR TO GET VEHICLE TO MOVE. THIS EXTRA FORCE SOMETIMES MAKES VEHICLE LURCH FORWARD. IN MY OPINION, THIS SUDDEN MOVEMENT CREATES A VERY UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITION. THIS CONDITION STARTED AS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM BUT IS NOW OCCURRING ALMOST EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN.*AK
WE PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2000 CHEVROLET LT BLAZER AND NOW THE FUEL SENDER WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY. THEREFORE, WE DO NOT KNOW HOW MUCH GAS WE HAVE IN THE TANK. PER MY BROTHER'S INQUIRES ON A WEBSITE HE FOUND OUT THAT THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD BY A GM TECHNICIAN THAT THIS WAS A DEFECT IN THIS MAKE/MODEL, THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. I THINK IT SHOULD BE A RECALL AND THE CONSUMER SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THIS REPAIRED SINCE THEY KNOW IT IS A DEFECT AND IS COSTLY TO REPAIR ESPECIALLY SINCE THE VEHICLE IS NOT VERY OLD! *NM
THE GAS GAUGE FLUCTUATES FROM E - F WHEN MY TANK IS ONLY HALF FULL. THE ONLY WAY I KNOW HOW FAR I CAN DRIVE IS TO ZERO OUT THE TRIP ODOMETER WHEN I FILL THE GAS TANK. THIS VEHICLE HAD HAS APPROXIMATELY 55K MILES ON IT - TOO FEW FOR THIS KIND OF PROBLEM.
WHILE SHIFTING THE VEHICLE INTO DRIVE/NEUTRAL OR REVERSE A TWO TO THREE SECOND DELAY CAUSED A HESITATION IN THE TRANSMISSION FROM SHIFTING. CONSUMER NOTICED A CLANKING NOISE. DROVE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC INFORMED CONSUMER THAT THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. *AK
2000 CHEVROLET BLAZER S10, 80000 MILES. WITHOUT WARNING UPPER BALL JOINT ON DRIVERS SIDE FRONT GAVE OUT. CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO SUSPENSION, ABS, AXEL AND MORE. WOULD HAVE BEEN FATAL IF ON HIWAY WHEN FAILURE OCCURRED. ENDED UP REPLACING ALL PARTS MENTIONED ABOVE FOR ABOUT $5K. STILL HAVE OFFENDING BALL JOINT IN A BOX AT HOME.*AK
GOING ABOUT 30 MPH TO ENTER FREEWAY ON ONRAMP, I PUT ON MY BRAKES AS TRAFFIC WAS SLOWING. TRAFFIC THEN SLOWED QUICKLY AND I PUSHED BRAKES DOWN HARDER AND PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND CAR DIDNT STOP CAUSING ME TO HIT THE BACK FOR THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT WAS A PROBLEM WITH ABS BRAKES AT SLOWER STOPPING SPEEDS AND THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE TO CORRECT IT AND THAT NOTHING WOULD SHOW ON THE COMPUTER. I CALLED A BRAKE SHOP AND WAS BASICLY TOLD THE SAME THING. THAT ABS BRAKES AT SLOW SPEEDS ARE A PROBLEM, THEY COULD PUT IT ON A MACHINE TO CHECK CODES BUT WERE 99.9% SURE AS USUAL IT WOULD SHOW NOTHING.
2000 CHEVY BLAZERFUEL GUAGE DOESN'T REGISTER PROPERLY BELOW 1/2 FULL. OFTEN FLUCTUATES BELOW 1/2 TANK FROM EMPTY TO FULL OR IN BETWEEN. ONLY 25000 MILES, JUST OUT OF WARRANTY (EXPIRED JUNE 2004). *AK
CONSUMER NOTICED THAT HOOD LEVER FAILED TO OPEN AND DRIVER'S DOOR HANDLE FAILED TO RELEASE IN ORDER TO LOCK. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER FOR AN APPOINT TO INSPECT AND REPAIR VEHICLE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID DRIPPED TO THE MUFFLER AND VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. *AK
THE ANTI LOCK BRAKES FAILED TO STOP MY 2000 BLAZER IN TIME TO AVOID HITTING A DEER. I CONTACTED GM AND THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO FOR ME, THERE HAD BEEN NO RECALL ON THE 2000 BLAZER LIKE THERE WAS ON OTHER MODELS OF SUV'S OF THE SAME YEAR. I HAD THE PROBLEM REPAIRED ON MY OWN. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS SUV TO PREVENT ANYONE FROM BEING INJURED OR KILLED DUE TO BRAKE FAILING. THERE WAS $3200.00 DAMAGE ON MY BLAZER AND IT COST $192.00 TO HAVE THE PROBLEM REPAIRED.*JB
WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH, WITH OUT ANY WARNING, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE. AS SOON AS THE CONSUMER PULLED OVER, THE FRONT LEFT WHEEL SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A INDEPENDENT SHOP, THE MECHANIC FOUND ALL THE LUG NUTS WERE BROKE. *JB

WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE CONSUMER HEARD A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE VIBRATED UNCONTROLLABLY. *JB THE CONSUMER STATED THAT SHE KNEW OF ANOTHER CONSUMER WITH THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM. *SC *JB
RECALL 01V364000 CONCERNING MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH: THE CONSUMER WAS DENIED RECALL REPAIRS BECAUSE THE RECALL HAD BEEN CLOSED. THE CONSUMER PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID NOT GET THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED. HOWEVER, THE CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER, AND NEITHER WERE WILLING TO HELP. *AK THE CONSUMER HAD NO BRAKE LIGHTS. *SC *JB
